Angela Liu life continues. Training sessions, patrols, early wakeup calls, and so on and so forth. But one day, Sarracenia goes to collect her stuff from her locker, she'll find that her stuff is just... gone. Her crown. And anything else she left inside the safety locker. And there aren't any immediate clues as to what happened. They're just not there. She's sure it's her locker, she's sure she put her stuff in there, but it's all missing. Her crown is gone, somehow.

Right now Ying and Lian are out on patrol, they decided to do one more route on their own because they 'had something they wanted to talk about', and since it's the evening most of Liu is settling in for dinner or to rest, with the night patrols about to start up.

Where could it be?

And where's the rest of her stuff?

The mess hall and the dorms have the most Liu agents. Xiao and Miris are also winding down for the day after a long day of work. Sometimes, even Miris looks tired, but Xiao looks like she's constantly on her A+ game no matter the situation.
Sarracenia      Sarra has steadily (if slowly) improved in her time management so that she is not costing Ying and Lian sleep anymore. However, she has continued to be stubborn about going for the kill. As such, she is just as bandaged today as the first day she went on a patrol with the Liu.

It made Sarra feel uneasy when Ying and Lian went on a patrol to talk. Why wouldn't they talk on base? If they wanted some time away from her they just had to ask. She hoped they wer not in some kind of trouble.

For her at least, patrols were done for the day. She was about to get ready for some Trideag business and thus she had gone to her locker.

When she finds that her stuff - especially her crown - is gone...she ends up staring at the locker for a long moment with her one good eye, her hair a mess from the day's activities. She was looking forward to going and availing herself of Trideag facilities. But, she certainly can't go without her crown and her other things!

She opened and closed her locker a few times, as if they might magically appear. Then, she checked for lockers that had been left open to see if somehow they had ended up in there. When it becomes clear that her items are not going to be found in this way...her hands clench.

     "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!"

Her exclamation can likely be heard throughout the training camp. She paces back and forth angrily for a few moments, considering what to do. She could go to the mess hall and dorms to check there and to try and get information out of her fellow cadets, but she doubts she will get anything that way. She considers going directly to Xiao or Miris, but she is reminded of their warnings about special treatment or the perceptions thereof.

She settles on going to Miris directly because chain of command. A crime in the ranks should be reported, but going right to the Director seems like an overreach. She heads off at a brisk, angry walk toward their CO. When she reaches Miris the princess is panting with anger. She stands tall and at attention and gives a salute. "Miris, sir!" she says entirely too loudly, and with her anger only somewhat contained. "I have something I need to report!!"
Angela The good news is that Ying and Lian can't be the ones who did this, they were with Sarracenia the whole time. That's easy to figure out without any major detective work. But what COULD they be talking about? Maybe that's something to worry about for later because right now...

''ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!''

"Shut up some of us are trying to sleep!" Someone shouts from across the camp.

Okay they probably didn't steal it either, whomever that was. And probably safe to assume Miris and Xiao are both above that sort of thing.

Speaking of, going to Miris. Miris is definitely probably better than badgering Xiao directly. He is busy gathering up training weapons so he can remove them from the training yard and, presumably, into a locker itself.

"Mm? What's the matter?" Miris continues his work. He is thinking, at first, that this is probably something very important but then suspects that if it was very important, it wouldn't just be Sarracenia cominmg up to talk to him. But that doesn't mean it's something that can be ignored either. "I'm listening." But he continues his work all the same.
Sarracenia      'Shut up some of us are trying to sleep!'

Sarra just lets out an angry, growly 'Ouuugh!' instead of yelling back.

Miris continues his work. Sarra mmphs hotly before continuing. "Someone has stolen my belongings, sir! Everything that was in my secure locker! My dress, my purse, my gloves! But most importantly...my crown!! I...we have to-...they must be-...!!!"

Sarra starts stammering toward the end, fighting against her instinct to start angrily demanding things and her newly acquired awareness that just yelling at a superior officer is a bad idea. Her fists clench harder, and her arms tremble a bit in suppressed anger. "Sir...we must find who did this...and quickly. It is...humiliating for a royal to lose her crown." she says, her voice very carefully controlled in that way one does when very angry. After a moment of angry thought she adds, "...not to mention the threat to security if someone who can access those lockers is wandering around the camp."

It is only after she has said something that Sarra takes the time to wonder what Miris is working on.
Angela "Can it with the attitude." Miris says without looking back. He can HEAR the mmphs! But he does pause upon hearing that the contents of the locker were stolen. He particularly seems concerned about the crown, frowning deeply. He cups his chin in thought shortly after as Sarracenia continues explaining the situation. He's not the sort of person to particularly be worried about Sarracenia's royal status--they were tasked with the purpose of 'shaping Sarracenia up', that would be impossible if they were worried about offending a royal to the point of them sending an army, but stealing away a crown could be seen as an act against the Sundew Kingdom much more easily than just a bit of disrespect.

"I don't think it's a security risk..." He murmurs. "Unless they broke into other lockers, they knew it was yours and the only people who would know it was yours would be our fellow Liu." He shakes his head. "We are actively dissuading the notion you are royalty so it doesn't interfere with your work here, obviously with your crown there is some limitations to that but since we downplayed it, it wouldn't surprise me if some of our Fixers wanted to have a bit of fun at your expenses. You were sent here as part of a rehabilitation course and you've been standing out so it's made you into a target. It'll be best if we settle this in a manner that doesn't drag the whole camp in it. If we don't handle this delicately it could ruin your standing with the rest of the Liu and make your purpose here that much harder to fulfil."

He lowers his hand, "If I intercede with a strong arm, that would piss them off. It'll be best if you find it on your own. At least publicly. But I'll keep my ears and eyes open. In the meantime, it'd be normal for you to look for it so ... Feel free to check around. If it is what I suspect, they'll show their hand once they see you are upset."
Sarracenia      'Can it with the attitude.'

Sarra can't stop another mmph before it comes out, but after she says, "...forgive me, sir."

     'I don't think it's a security risk...'

Sarra manages to keep the mmph in this time. She doesn't argue, but her lips tighten. "I could be only the first to report it...but I suppose it is unlikely." she says, then after a moment blinks. "Er...sir."

'If I intercede with a strong arm, that would piss them off.'

Sarra does not have to hold in an mmph for this one. She nods in agreement. "...I thought of that. I remembered what you and the director said about the appearance of special treatment. But, I still thought I should report it before I went looking." Sarra says.

When told to feel free to check around, Sarra turns to leave. She blinks, then turns back around and salutes before she leaves. "Thank you, sir!"

She then heads directly to the mess tent. And with exactly the amount of tact she always has she throws open the tent flaps and huffs angrily. "Okay! Who did it?!" she demands.
Angela Miris almost frowns at Sarracenia but she apologizes after and he sets it aside for the moment. Little continued outbursts like that are certainly noted, however. But compliance late by one second is an improvement in his eyes. But he's mostlyt relieved when Sarracenia agrees that he shouldn't make a big deal of it. It's the sort of thing he'd do if he was compelled to because following Lilian's request is slightly lower on his list of priorities than possibly antagonizing a kingdom to imperil The City. He has no idea what the Sundew Kingdom is like. Or how powerful it is. Even allowing a small interdimensional conflict over something this stupid is anathemic to Miris. Hopefully it IS just a stupid prank.

"Understood. I'll keep my own eyes open."5r
''Okay! Who did it?!''

Many heads turn to look at Sarracenia in the mess hall. A few just keep on eating, trying to ignore the situation. But near the kitchen there's a small table with four Liu Fixers, trying to hide their snickering and failing completely. Sarracenia might recognize one of them being a woman named Huifen.

"Did what? Someone have to dump water on you again?" She asks.
Sarracenia      As heads turn, Sarra takes note of those who do not even look up. They are immediately suspicious to her. But, not as suspicious as a group snickering. Sarra frowns, then makes her way over with purpose. And once she is a bit closer, she leaps. She clears much of the tent, leaping clear over tables and side flipping acrobatically to land on her feet beside Huifen's table. She stands tall, peering down over a slightly upturned nose with her one visible blue eye smoldering. "Ha ha ha." She says with a roll of her eye. "I am quite capable of waking myself, thank you." she says, arms crossed over her chest.

She looks at each person at the table in turn, then back to Huifen. "It is quite curious, actually. Someone -somehow- opened my secure locker and removed items from inside. Items worth quite a bit. Just imagine. Someone in the Liu, an association all about caring for the group, has sought to cause distress to a fellow Liu. If Director Xiao or Miris were to find out, what would the consequences be? As a relative newcomer and an outsider, I am not sure I know."

Sarra gives a cold look to each person again. "Perhaps you could help me find my missing items?"
Angela ''I am quite capable of waking myself, thank you.''

"Oh did you finally graduate from your morning splash?" Huifen asks, rolling her eyes at the super leap. The other Liu Association members instinctively duck or pull their plates close and the like. There's some murmuring. This is the platonic opposite of subtle after all.

''Has sought to cause distress to a fellow Liu.''

"But you aren't a Liu, you're Prrrrincess Sarracenia Sundew of the Sundew Kingdom with your fancy little crown and jewelry you like to shove in our faces every time you deign to take part in our exercises." Huifen says, in a mocking tone. "Crying to the Director and Vice-Director every time you get a boo boo or have to do something haaaaard."

She leans back in the chair. "Go on. Run on and beg for help. Bet that'll really make you look sooo cool."
Sarracenia      'But you aren't a Liu, you're Prrrrincess Sarracenia Sundew of the Sundew Kingdom with your fancy little crown and jewelry you like to shove in our faces every time you deign to take part in our exercises. Crying to the Director and Vice-Director every time you get a boo boo or have to do something haaaaard. Go on. Run on and beg for help. Bet that'll really make you look sooo cool.'

Sarra's eye narrows and her frown deepens. Was the news that she was actually a princess finally released? Or did rumors just finally reach here. She is a Fixer of the Trideag, so she supposes it couldn't be truly hidden. Or...maybe she herself let it slip and she has forgotten. "I have not run to either of them for help once. Any help they gave was because they felt it was the right thing to do or to maintain discipline in the ranks. Something you apparently have less of than a princess. If you knew me at all, you would know I handle my problems myself. Despite being a princess. I fight my own battles. And, I try to protect my allies. I have put my life and body on the line to protect my fellow Liu."

Sarra leans closer to Huifen. "Why do you care, anyway? Can you not handle a spoiled princess matching you in the Liu?"
Angela Maybe Huifen is making presumptions on the fact that Sarracenia keeps showing up with a crown. Or she's just teasing her and is just using princess derogatively. Huifen's arms are scarred up but she seems comfortable in this position.

"Yeah yeah... We can see if you fight your own battles right here and now, see if you bleed fire, see who matches who."

One of Huifen's tablemates, a younger man by the name of Fei--his eyes slant towards the kitchen for a moment before looking back down at the table. "Come on you're not going to actually fight about this are you...?" He asks, frankly, the both of them.

"I don't know, depends if the ''Princess'' can handle a prank or not." Huifen says.
Sarracenia      'Come on you're not going to actually fight about this are you...?
'I don't know, depends if the ''Princess'' can handle a prank or not.'

Sarra's one eye shifts to the younger man, then...

Sarracenia...seems caught off guard for some reason. "...a prank?" she says, blinking a few times. Much of her anger melts into confusion. Pranks are supposed to be harmless jests, often between people who are at least somewhat close.

After a few moments to process she stands back up straight again. "...I...in truth, I have not had 'pranks' pulled on me before. I suppose I have not had anyone who felt comfortable enough with me to attempt such a thing."

She is quiet a few more moments, then huffs softly and recrosses her arms. "If you would like to fight in a friendly bout, I am more than happy to oblige. I quite enjoy fighting, actually." She looks around the table again, then hmms. "So...if you pulled a 'prank' on me..." For some reason she always says it with a bit of extra emphasis, like someone using a word they think is novel. "...does that mean we are...friends after a fashion?"
Angela "....What?..." Now Huifen is feeling confused and she's not liking it. She's the one who is supposed to be in charge of the situation! "......Huh???" The explanation Sarracenia brings forward later is even more confusing to her. She feels heat rising into her face, her skin turning bright pink as she stomps up to her feet, "A..as if! What the hell is wrong with you?? Uggh I'm not even in the mood anymore...!"

She turns and stomps off, leaving her unfinished plate of food behind. Fei glances at the kitchen again before adding, "You really are from another world huh..." Fei mumbles. He sure is glancing at the kitchen a lot. Nothing is in immediate view there but there's a fridge and little shelves and cupboards. The chef seems to be wiping down for the day and cleaning the area rather than making any more food, though.
Sarracenia      'A..as if! What the hell is wrong with you?? Uggh I'm not even in the mood anymore...!'

Sarra's slightly hopeful look fades to a frown again. That sounds just like Petra but without the profanities. "...in the mood...?" Sarra repeats, confused.

'You really are from another world huh...'

Sarra looks to Fei, then huffs. "I have been saying that from the start." she says, then follows his gaze. "...I suddenly feel a bit peckish myself. Perhaps I should search the kitchen." she says. She greets the chef. "Pardon me, but I have apparently been the target of a 'prank'. I have reason to believe that the items that were taken might be hidden in here. May I search it the area?" she says, though she is already looking around by the time she finishes asking.
Angela Fei grimaces when Sarracenia says that but doesn't seem inclined to stop Sarracenia from looking. "Maybe you shouldn't be saying it." He mutters.

The chef shrugs both of their shoulders when Sarracenia pops in to check. "Don't make me do any more cleaning." He says.

The clothes and everything are easy to find. They're just shuffled away in one of the empty shelves. But the crown...

...The crown has been frozen into a large ice block in the fridge, on its lowest level. Sarracenia can find it easy.
Sarracenia      'Maybe you shouldn't be saying it.'

Sarra hmms, then shrugs lightly. "Maybe not, but I prefer to avoid deception whenever possible. Lying is hardly heroic." she says. She searches the kitchen and finds her lost items.

Finding the crown in a block of ice...makes Sarra laugh after everything. She holds it, sort of impressed. She walks back out to where Fei and the others are, then takes Huifen's seat "How...how did you manage this?" she asks, setting it down on the table and picking up a fork to start chipping at it. "Now that I know the items were not in any real danger, it is quite amusing." Of course, she could usually melt the ice easily with a fire flower. But, as she is all but forbidden from using her royal powers in the camp, she will have to let it melt naturally.

With the situation diffused and Sarra amused, she is almost...pleasant?
