Defiant      BROCKTON BAY
     Early evening.

It's Friday night in Brockton Bay and everyone across the city is just getting off work and heading down to the bars or heading home to see their families. The Boardwalk is already a hive of activity. Despite the sheer number of parahumans in the city, Brockton Bay is much the same as any other place in the United States.

Of course, some of those parahumans don't get to go off work just yet, and one of them in particular doesn't really understand the concept.

On patrol, Armsmaster walks down one of the busier streets in the central business district, which is already clearing out of people excepting the few who seem to want to stay late. He's a vaguely imposing figure in his midnight-blue set of powered armor, with his Halberd casually slung over his back, and people know better than to try and interrupt him for an autograph or a photo. He has a job to do.

That's the thing about Brockton. Between the E88, the ABB, the Merchants and Coil's group, there's always some crisis somewhere. The city is practically a hotbed for conflict. However for now, the evening seems quiet.

It won't stay that way for long.
Odin A fog begins to move into the city, an unnatural fog at that. Light from the street are nearly blocked out by it, car lights can barely see through it. It hangs in the air, before it at last starts to roll upward in the sky, though clearing the area to be seen, a strange darkness still remains, blocking out the night sky and moon. The area almost takes on a blue shade of color, though very light it may be.

Wisps of light start to appear as they raise from the very ground, the only light not seem phased by the darkness that has come, those wisps of light may even seem friendly to the children that may ever be so curious.

Yet it is the next thing that comes....

The clomp of hooves can be heard moving across the concrete street as another haze of fog rolls in, but lifted as the red eyes of the nightmare steed starts to walk out. The rider upon its back in full armor from head to two, a cape that barely moved by any breeze that may be in the air. Those glowing eyes staring out at the unknown world to him.

He has an elven like face, with dark purple color skin and lilac hair pulled back into a pony tail. A tattoo on the side of his face that is more blue in color then his skin. His eyes gaze over the area in some curiosity.

That is when this figure comes to see a car racing right toward him, though the owner of the vehicle tries to hit the brakes, the armored figure readies his sword from dark aetheric fog and the helmet covers his face in that very instant.

With one quick swing of his sword, before the car can even get close, the vehicle is cut right in half, the two sides sliding right by the horseman knight and amazingly-- the driver was still alive...
Jonothon Starsmore For once Jono's actually here for a reason and not just randomly wandering. Given that there's so many problems with the criminals here AND that Multiversal threats are just as able to come in and add to the problem Jono figures it's a good idea to try to see what he can do here. But there's a procedure to go through here and that procedure requires registration. At least, it seems that way.

Then again the question is how does one start this registration procedure? Who does one talk to? So that kind of leaves him sort of randomly wandering anyway! At least it's random wandering with a purpose. Sort of. And at least he has his motorcycle.

Though the fog appearing does sort of get his attention. As does the suddenly appearance of a dude that CUTS A CAR IN HALF. Yeah that's probably something he ought to go check out. He starts heading in that direction though he's going to stop the bike before he gets too close. He doesn't want his bike chopped in half, after all.
Defiant      Immediately, people panic. Phone calls to the Protectorate HQ are made, messages are placed all over social media accounts. They might be used to things like this, but this unknown horseman is something else.

     The Protectorate responds immediately.

Armsmaster arrives on the scene just as the two sides of the car come to a screeching, sparking halt. He pulls his Halberd from his back and advances upon the horseman. With his helmet on, there's little than can be made out about him except his neatly trimmed beard and disapproving frown. He doesn't recognise this person, which means one of two things - he's a new, powerful villain. Or he's from the Multiverse.

     Or both.

As people flee the area, Armsmaster sets himself in the middle of the street, the tip of his Halberd pointed in Odin's direction.

"Surrender," Armsmaster barks, in a voice rich with loud authority, "Since you haven't harmed anyone, I'm prepared to let you escape with your dignity."
Odin The Knight on the horse doesn't even seem concerned when Armsmaster comes up to him, he may have spotted Jonothon, but makes not motion as if he has. "Does thy warrior challenge me and deny me my search of Urth?"

The dark blade he wields points right back at Armsmaster. The steed at which the knight rides on, scrapes its hoof across the cement, it actually carving the road itself with a few strikes. "Unless death is what thy wish, give passage or face my blade."

"That choice is yours, warrior."
Jonothon Starsmore "Oi. Mate," Jono calls to the horseman. Unless Odin is immune to telepathic broadcasts, the distance shouldn't hinder him. There's a bit of a wry tone to his 'voice'. "...So I can see yer don't like cars. But don't yer think this is a bit excessive? Why not just avoid 'em instead?" he asks.

He'll head over to where Armsmaster is. "Yer want a hand with this bloke?" he asks. "Looks like he might 'ave enough for both of us."
Defiant      Armsmaster turns his helmet in Odin's direction. He says nothing, but he turns his Halberd in his grip until the haft is pointed in Odin's direction. In a split second, a burst of concussive force /booms/ from the end of the weapon! It seems Armsmaster is attempting to blast him from his mount.

"Consider the gauntlet thrown down," Armsmaster states, spinning his Halberd back into a ready stance. "Do what you wish," Armsmaster says to Jonothon, but he doesn't take his eyes off Odin, "Just stay out of my way."

     Friendly sort, he is.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono rolls his eyes a little at the response from Armsmaster. The standoffishness of the armored hero is probably legendary so this is probably something he expected. Besides Jono's not exactly the most friendly sort himself. Not the type to let someone take on a giant dude on an equally giant horse alone though.

So he pulls the wrappings off his face and leaves them to hang freely around his neck. As he does his head and upper body are wreathed in his characteristic yellow, orange, and red flames. And then he fires a blast of that fiery energy at Odin. Apparently he's throwing his hat into the ring too! Figuratively speaking since he has no hat.

It's also worthy to note that the 'fire' doesn't burn. It isn't in the slightest bit hot, and doesn't ignite anything. In fact it if hits it'll feel more like a hard punch. With a rotary sander with 80 grit sandpaper attached...
Odin When the shot goes to fire, the horse is already on the move and Odin actually goes to flip right off his mount, the cape seeming to vanish into aetheric fog as he lands. His steed charging around in a circle for a moment, before it also vanishing into aetheric energy as well, like his cape did.

His boots land easily on the ground, "Then you shall know the power of whom it is you face, not of Urth's blood. For I am Odin." He then readies his blade. "And only those worthy will see my power as their own."

That is when Odin catches the sudden flicker off to the side. It seems another dares to challenge him as well. He attempts to swing the sword in time to catch it, but the blade is to late and it slams into Odin with a great deal of force.

The armored figure slides back, the impact can be seen fixing itself in the armor, as those eyes look directly at Jonothon.

Odin's dark blade's edge starts to glow, much like what happened when he cut the car in half, then with a swing he sends an aerial blade slash right for Jonothon, as he then goes right in for Armsmaster, only he vanishes into a cloud of dark fog, before suddenly appearing alongside the Halberd wielder and then brings the very weapon down to bare.
Defiant      A credit to his skill, Armsmaster is moving into a defensive stance as Odin vanishes. The Protectorate commander is evidently anticipating an attack from an unexpected quarter. Still, when Odin reappears right next to him, his blade bites deep into the armor at Armsmaster's shoulder. Sparks fly and Armsmaster grunts - did the blow penetrate?

Armsmaster brings his Halberd up, held near base and blade, and goes to slam the metal shaft into Odin, attempting to force him back!

"You face the Master of Arms, Odin!" Armsmaster shouts, spinning his Halberd into an aggressive posture, ready for his opponent to move again. "And no one faces me and prevails!"
Jonothon Starsmore OW! That was definitely not a blunt attack! On the bright side-- or maybe it's not so bright-- the slash cuts into the fabric at Jono's chest allowing more of that not-fire to escape. So it's not just his face it seems! It's his whole upper body! The slash also knocks Jono onto his back. There was a lot of force behind that.

Jono gets back up though. He's not that easily taken out. Though he doesn't have a lot of tricks up his sleeve when things get to this point. So since he's at range he fires another blast at Odin. He accounts for Armsmaster's moving to melee range with Odin too. So he's not likely to hit Armsmaster but he might miss Odin.
Odin The impact from Armsmaster connects against Odin's defending armor. The aetheric armor seeming to dent in with the impact as he is shoved back. The dark armored feet sliding back along the ground, but once his feet come to a stop, it is easy to see that the armor is already repairing itself. "One may boast all that he shall wish, but a boast is not fact until proven."

Odin then whirls the blade around and then brings it down with a cleaving motion, though he was not in position to connect with the edge of the blade, its the aetheric energy channeled by the blade that will attempt to make the cut.

At this same time, he tries to come back around and actually use his sword to cleave the fire energy being thrown at him, only to find-- this isn't what it seems and is knocked back into a light pole. "..What sorcery is it that you wield that I can not grasp within my own..."

The Elder Primal then actually uses his blade to actually cut the light pole and as it starts to fall, he leaps into the around with a hard roundhouse kick and actually goes to slam the light pole right at Jonothon, before sending another aetheric wave at his direction-- it seems the light pole was just a distraction from another aetheric slash.
Defiant      "I know that you don't need to be within range to strike me with your blade," Armsmaster declares, ducking to one side to evade the cleaving energy. He laughs - but it's not happy or jovial but rather openly mocking. "Consider it proven."

Armsmaster leaps at Odin then, Halberd held up and behind him in a two-handed grip. He swings the polearm right at Odin, hoping to catch him with the blade! Such an attack against a villain could be dangerous, since it risked killing them, but Armsmaster is quite certain that this Odin can handle it.
Jonothon Starsmore 'Sorcery' huh? Though before he can address the question he has to dodge to the side! Except it also leaves him completely open for the ACTUAL attack to slice him across the side. That's when the blood can be seen. While the slash to the chest had obviously hurt him it hadn't drawn blood. This cut to the side did.

Once he picks himself back up he can concentrate on that question. "It's not magic," Jono answers. Though because he doesn't really know what it is himself he can't say what. Also he's getting sliced at by this guy's ability to cut stuff from miles away so Jono's not really keen on revealing his weaknesses!

When Armsmaster goes high Jono goes low. He fires a blast of energy at Odin's leg hoping to cause enough of a distraction for Armsmaster to get his hit in.
Odin Jonothon's attack impacts into Odin's knee, causing the armored Knight to go down on the impacted knee slight, this leaving him open for when the the halberd comes down blade end. Yet Odin shoves himself back up and with a sweep of his foot for balance, he raises up his hand. The blade impacts right into the Elder Primal's own palm and then fingers curl into the metal, holding the blade there, even as it slices into his hand and dark aetheric energy can be seen moving around like smoke or tendrils.

Those clawed fingers cutting just slightly into the metal. Odin stares directly at Armsmaster, his glowing white eyes that seem nearly formless looking into the man's own. He then goes to take his grip on the polearm weapon and with his unnatural strength, tries to throw Armsmaster off balance toward him and then comes it with his knee and goes to slam it into where the man's side rips would be.

Then releasing his grip on the Halberd after his attack, he creates the lance in his free hand, a dark chain can be seen forming around his armor. He leaps back to get some distance from Armsmaster and as he does, he swings his body around, letting the lance go and with the chain attached, he goes to swing the lance right for Jonothon to not only knock him over, but knock him closer into the frey.
Defiant      "What?!" Armsmaster snaps as Odin /grabs/ his Halberd. No one should be able to grab the blade like that! No one! Armsmaster specifically engineered it to cut through metal like tissue paper! This is-!

Armsmaster goes to jerk his weapon out of Odin's grip, but it is useless. Those glowing eyes meet Armsmaster's blank visor and he draws him in, that knee coming up right into Armsmaster's guard. The dark armor there crumples in from the blow and Armsmaster grunts in pain.

With his grip released, Armsmaster stumbles aside, taking a second to find his balance. Finding it, he grips his Halberd and twists the shaft. Suddenly, purple flame leaps from the blade, seeming like it will just engulf Odin outright! How did Armsmaster fit a plasma-thrower in that thing?!
Jonothon Starsmore AAAAAAH CRAP incoming spear! And it knocks into Jono's arm with about ten times the force that it looked like that swing should have been capable of producing. That's going to bruise later! But he goes with the direction of the swing. He's thrown to the side but manages to avoid much more damage.

He finds a position off to the side and away from Armsmaster's attack and contributes to the flameyness. Red and orange mixes with purple with a more sustained blast from Jono.
Odin The dark knight coils the lance back into his hand, and quickly shifts positions so when the flames come, Odin uses his own sword to create a field of some kind that splits the very fires. The flames surging around him and melting the ground along side his feet. What does impact Odin is though Armmaster's continued plasma fire after the fact and slams into the armored figure.

The purple flames roar around him, as dark aetheric energy can be seen waving through the flames, once the fires end, Odin is still standing there, his armor reminding someone of a dark horror come to life and those glowing eyes staring directly at Armsmaster once more.

"Is this the best you have to offer me?" Odin seems to ask, perhaps at both of them.

The Dark Divinity then leaps back and flips in the air, then when he lands down, he swings himself around low, before using that momentum to throw his very lance into the skies. The darkened cloudy sky then quakes with red streaks of lightning before two massive Obsidian lances come down from above. They go to try and slam into the areas near Armsmaster and Jonothon. The sheer energy pulses out a dark wave of energy and create an orb of some kind to try and trap them inside of it.

Aetheric dark energy is seen tieing back to Odin's own finger tips, the energy charging the Obsidian lances further-- something bad is about to happen and if they are caught in it-- they will soon find out, if they are outside-- they may be spared for what is to come.

The only thing tieing them to Odin though, should they be trapped was the large Obsidian spears themselves it would seem.
Defiant      Armsmaster replies, "I'm just getting started." He takes one step forwards, as Odin leaps bckwards, and then another. "Are you running? Pointless. I gave you your chance to surrender."

Maybe, if Armsmaster had've been more focused on the area and not on his opponent, he might've been able to evade the Obsidian lance. Maybe.

It lands near him, and as the orb expands and traps him, Armsmaster frowns. He can spot the energy tying the lance to Odin. Immediately, he readies his Halberd and swings right for the Obsidian spear, hoping to destroy it!
Jonothon Starsmore Jono suddenly finds himself in an orb of energy! And his efforts to get out of it-- namely punching at the orb-- seem pretty pointless. A few choice curses run through his head but he doesn't bother 'voicing' them. It'd just be a waste of energy. Speaking of energy...

Armsmaster seems to be attacking the spear so Jono aims a blast of energy that way too. It seems to be about the only thing he can do at this point except get ready for something really big and bad to happen to him.
Odin Armsmaster goes to strike the Obsidian spear, only to find his Halberd only chips at it, barely even seeming to harm the summoned weapon that is pulsing dark energy into the field. Jonothon's own energy impacts into the Obsidian spear, moving it slightly, but seems to do little to knock it away. This can't be good.

Odin looks at the two, "Thou shall be judged upon your actions. My own might shall pierce thy soul."

The Elder Primal then takes a hold of the aetheric cords fully and rips them downward. Like a chain reaction, the Obsidian lances becoming suddenly bright white nad the very aetheric energy implodes inward, trying to catch them both in the heavy blast of dark energy that comes rushing in ontop of them and at the same time, the lances themselves shattering with the force sending out shards of slashing dark light.
Defiant      Armsmaster doesn't stop striking, even as his Halberd - personally designed to cut through anything and everything, to handle any situation he might come across - does /nothing/ to Odin's Obsidian spear. He was frowning before, and his lips are pursed, jaw set, teeth clenched. He's frustrated.

Armsmaster roars, "You have no authority to judge m-!"

And then, a blinding light, dark shards tearing through his armor, pain. He might've even blacked out for a moment.

Unaware of how he had fallen, Armsmaster pushes himself to his hand and knees and then up and onto his feet. He spits up blood, aiming to cast it just by Odin's feet. He's broken and blooded, sure, but he practically radiates defiance and contempt. He makes no move to pick up his Halberd, and instead holds out his right hand. "Dragon. Prototype," he grunts out. "Now."

And, with a flash of white light, Armsmaster is suddenly holding another Halberd. This one is obviously crude and unfinished but Armsmaster readies it in his grip. He flicks something and a grey haze settles over the blade, unmoving. Armsmaster idly trails the blade against the asphalt...

...and the asphalt vanishes into smoke, with all the ease of moving through air. "Nano-techology," Armsmaster gloats, voice hoarse. "Severs molecular bonds! Cuts through /everything/!" As he says it, he leaps towards Odin, his new Halberd held ready to swing. It's only a prototype, unfinished, and it will probably destroy itself, but Armsmaster engineered this weapon to kill gods.

Starting with Odin, by the looks of it.
Jonothon Starsmore Aetheric or not that energy is also PAINFUL. Particularly when it aims right for Jono's core... where his own energy is! It aims right for that spot and lays into it with the kind of prejudice that Jono would have expected of Ghost Rider. Doesn't that weird thing Ghost Rider does depend on guilt? Jono's sort of got a huge guilt complex.

Worse is that energy is trying to stifle Jono. The pressure gives the distinct sensation of a hand closing around his throat. Figuratively of course since he does have to breathe so that won't hurt him. He emits a panicked cry along telepathic frequencies-- that's likely to reach a few people it wasn't intended to!

Jono has no idea where he's been thrown. He's down. Is he getting back up? Not for the moment. Not after that. He's never encountered anything that can hurt him on that level. Tear up his body? He can regenerate that. And part of him has always gone into battles with the knowledge that would continue to be true. But that went right to the very core of whatever it is that kept him alive for this long even after he exploded all his internal organs out and his lower jaw off.

That's scary.

Armsmaster is well into his attack with his powerful new halberd when Jono can force himself to get up again. He wants to run. He wants to get the hell out of there. But he can't leave Armsmaster to fight this... thing alone. He has to wait until Armsmaster's out of the way. But when he is...

Energy. All of the energy.
Odin Odin is not ready for how quickly Armsmaster gets back into the fray. It almost causes the dark warrior to chuckle slightly. "Perhaps your boast holds some merit." When the Halberd comes in for the swing, Odin attempts to block it with his own lance, which itself is creation of aetheric energy binding to the Elder Primal in some odd fashion-- then again, everything about him is in that very way.

The sheer power of Armsmaster's attack disrupts the aetheric flow in such a form it causes the aetheric energy to break away for a moment, seeming to cleave the lance in half which dissipates from Odin's hand. The very weapon of Armsmaster's continues through and cuts into Odin's armor like butter, it rips the aetheric energy apart like the lance, seeming to dig into maybe what is the skin under the armor.

The sheer force actually causes Odin to be force off balance and causes him to spiral with the impact, which leaves him right into Jonothon's own attack slams into him, the energy washing over him and forcing Odin down on his knees.

For a moment all that can be seen is a withering dark tendril of energy and what seems like a body beneath it all. Yet when the sword slams into the ground, which cracks the ground around him and as he sits there hunched over, breathing heavily, the armor reforms back to its proper place.

Then slowly, Odin goes to stand up, his sword still in the ground as he does. Those eyes glowing as he then lets out a roar as he reaches down in that moment and yanks out the sword. It is almost like time may freeze for a moment, but in truth it is a quick motion, the edge of the blade is glowing hot white-blue and seems to extend out further then the blade itself ever can, he whips it around as it slashes into buildings around them, cutting through everything, and the very streak heads right toward them.

He then goes to slam the blades edge toward the ground and an explosion of air then irrupts around him that shatters the very windows of the buildings. In essence-- they may have just gotten a taste of the attack that could come for them soon.
Defiant      Armsmaster seems to be able to predict when Jonothon is about to open up with his powers, and he keeps himself well out of the way when that happens. His face is twisted in an angry, predatory grin - he practically cut Odin in two, surely!

But then he is still standing. And he slams his sword into the ground, apparently reformed. And his armor begins to stitch itself back together. As Odin goes to stand, Armsmaster is already moving, Halberd ready. All he succeeds in doing, is catching that white-blue streak dead centre. It cuts through his armor like a hot knife through butter, and blood sprays. Shattered glass cuts along his exposed cheek, blood falling into his beard. He leaps for Odin once more, Halberd held high above his head, and he goes to swing it downwards in a powerful, double-handed blow!

But, as he does, the Halberd's blade disintegrates into smoke. It was only a prototype, after all.
Jonothon Starsmore The energy wave rocks through Jono and drives him to a knee. It also causes an interruption in the energy flaring around him. That energy's starting to flag now. It's no longer burning around his whole form now. It's only sputtering weakly around the front of his chest and what remains of his face. Luckily it still hides the actual damage because that would be unpleasant to have to look at.

Just one problem. He's expended too much energy. And now he's stuck with melee until he can recharge enough. He's pretty sure he won't get the chance. And if he just stands around? He's going to be a sitting duck when the time comes.

There's probably been enough collateral damage for there to be some kind of debris laying around. He picks up the nearest piece and charges towards Odin in a probably suicidal rush. And just plain tries to BEAN the guy right over the head with that piece of debris.
Emiya Shirou     Only one thing drives Emiya Shirou forward.
A great fire took everything from him. His parents became ash. His neighbors vanished. His house disappeared. His memories were scorched. His legs lost all reason to move forward. People cried around him and died in the flames, while he walked on ignoring them all. He collapsed, accepting death, very self draining out in the horror.
    But he was saved.
He alone was saved, and yet the one who saved him looked more relieved to have found someone to save than Shirou felt by being saved.
So what saved Shirou was not being rescued from the fire, but seeing his rescuer's crying, joyous, relieved face. As though by saving another, Emiya Kiritsugu had saved himself.

Then, isn't it only natural for him to show up when others need his help the most...?

"Ghhhh...!" The redheaded magus tears across the streets from the warp gates, coughing out specs of blood from a badly-done self-Reinforcement. It's an art that could kill him if he does it poorly, but not reaching his goal in time would be much, much worse than that. With his body somewhat charged with prana, he can run quicker than most athletes if only by a marginal amount. He tears through the streets at a breakneck pace, leaping over the occasional parked car and cutting corners while his heart pounds horribly loudly in his ears. His body's protesting this rush with all its might and like always - hes doing his best to ignore it.

He can rest later. He can worry about pain later, too. That ominous dark sky's epicenter is his estination, and with Odin pulling this hard on the mana flows even HE can sense where it's swirling in towards.

Shirou will soon round the bend.
Odin Jonothon attempts to throw a 'rock' at Odin and what he gets is a sword in return. The very blade cuts through what he has been tossed at him and with a single step he is right on Jonothon, to bring the sword down in a hard cleave.

He only had a little time however to turn himself around to see Armsmaster coming right at him. Odin attempts to shift his body weight, to use the sword to block the strike, instead when the prototype weapon collides with the aetheric charged blade, the two forces meet and is is enough to knock back Odin, cutting a gash into his armor, which has to rebuild itself once more, but worse is the after effect which lings in the very air.

A near after image of dark aetheric light, "What have you..." Odin seems to maybe comprehend what happened, but no words can truly explain as the aetheric energy then explodes outward to even knock Odin into the side off a wall, then colliding him to his side onto the ground.

His blade being thrown from his hand into a near by building for the moment...

It would seem some weird chain reaction happened when the unstoppable nononites met an unbreakable blade.
Defiant      Armsmaster roars his defiance and his adrenaline-charged fury as he attempts to charge through the explosion. It stumbles him, wobbles him on his shakey feet, but Armsmaster recovers. He hurls the useless remnant of his prototype weapon at Odin's midsection, calling his usual Halberd back to his hand in a flash of light as he charges once more.

With Odin knocked aside, Armsmaster doesn't seem to be about to give him any chance to get up. His Halberd descends towards Odin, almost like he's hoping to pin him to the ground with his weapon through the sheer force of the blow.

But he's tiring. Armsmaster is strong and well-trained, utilising equipment that seems practically magical, but he is still, at the end of the day, only human.
Jonothon Starsmore It wouldn't even be so bad if it was just that blade. But every time that blade hits something it explodes with that weird energy that hits Jono on a level that a physical attack just can't reach. Being lighter than an average human of his size he's thrown back again. He'll stand up though it'll take him a few moments. Because he's starting to lose strength too.

And then Odin's lost his sword. But it's too high up for Jono to try to go after. Still now's the perfect time to strike... or at least it WOULD be if he had recharged enough yet. All Jono can do is go melee again. Though this time he's trying for a legitimate shoulder-check. Which may be doomed to failure, given his lightness...
Odin Armsmaster leaps in and Odin shoves himself up to meet the man. His hand reaching out and the Halberd skimming right past. Those fingers of his go to grab a hold of Armsmaster's helmet and then with the momentum he goes to slam the man right back into the very ground.

With that same momentum, his other hand extends out to hand springs himself up, with the horns of his helmet slicing across the cement war-torn ground.

When Jonothon comes in with a punch, Odin steps away and then goes to back hand the man away, before he extends out his other hand and then the sword in the wall becomes aetheric fog, before it then reforms back into his hand once more.

"For one whom boasts and fought so well. Thou strength is waning and this battle be only bitter. No honor from this shalt be found. Only the essence of misery." Odin says as he steps away from the two, twirling the glowing sword in his hand.
Defiant      Armsmaster hits the ground, hard. Hard enough that his helmet noticably cracks - a black line down the silver and blue plating. It takes him a moment to stand, but he does. Some part of Armsmaster knows that he could just stay down and let Odin win, but he once swore to never give in when others would just stand idly by. He picks up his Halberd.

And levels it at Odin. "I'm only warming up," Armsmaster replies and, as if to punctuate his point, bright arcs of lightning leap from the tip of Armsmaster's Halberd, crackling out as the burst of energy reaches for Odin!
Jonothon Starsmore WHAP! The sound not of Jono's fist hitting Odin as the young mutant hoped. But instead the sound of Odin bitchslapping Jono. At least it's a PHYSICAL attack. Those Jono can deal with. Even if this one nearly sends him tumbling down the street like a candlepin! Still it doesn't hit him on that weird level that he couldn't protect against so he's not complaining.

Even better Jono realizes that he's recharged enough to do some damage! It's visible too-- his fire's burning a little brighter and is starting to frame his head again. That said it's not going to be a really big blast right now. But it's something. Mainly just enough to tell Odin there's still some fight in him.
Emiya Shirou     "Trace, on." Shirou's head is pounding. He doesn't want to fight Odin if he can avoid it, but the choice has already been made for him when Odin attacked in a city - this is the worst possible outcome. This is the last place Shirou wants to see him being brazen, and the only place that SHirou can't even recklessly deploy his legendary technique back on him. So, a plan B.

Shirou finally rounds the bend, after tons of running. He's breathing hard, but the scene that reaches him isn't full of blood, yet. There's still a chance to prevent the worst outcome...!

His mind sizzles with furious thoughts, as he brings to thought the image of Priscilla's preferred weapons - well, her LEAST preferred ones, to his knowledge. Or rather, it's just a single weapon - a sinister and plain dagger without any guard.

Two appear in his hands, following a small flash of golden light. Their birth is heralded by a sizzly *SSSSCH-CLANK*

They are sinister not only in appearance, but their very nature. As they were forged to augment Priscilla's own abilities, they bear some of the ominous and omni-threatening Lifehunt that makes no distinction between the living, the dead, and that which never lived to begin with.

So the daggers could be called cursed, and ominous, but they are strikingly beautiful and efficient.

And Shirou has two of them, when only one exists anywhere else. One in each hand.

"Elidibus!" The magus shouts. "I have those things you need. Not with me right now, but help... if you're listening, and can help... I have to stop Odin first."

He was told to call for him. Who knows if this is what the man meant, but SHirou will try it.

But he's not going to wait for a response either. He rushes straight at Odin, dual-wielding the lengthy daggers. They're honestly more like short swords, they're just that long. But he's still a ways away...
Odin Odin was not expecting Armsmaster to call upon the element of lightning to his aid. The Elder Primal extends out his hand trying to redirect it, but the force was starting to burn at his very hand. It is then when Jonothon comes in with his own energy aim, does it over power, together, the Elder Primal knocking him aside

Odin tumbles across the ground, before he leaps back up onto his feet, sliding a bit. The sword ever growing bright-- it was time...

Then Shirou does the one thing Odin doesn't expect, show up, "You dare come to face me again, one whom can not wield my power."

Yet another voice then breaks through the darkness as he appears high up on the roof of a building. A white robbed figure moves through a dark portal, with tendrils that move outward, but once he is threw it closes behind him in dark light.

"How goes the great elder primal bend so low." The man says calmly as he then raises up his hand, the index, middle, and thumb with clawed metal over them. "Yet a great threat you remain that requires to be laid low."

The Dark Divinity then turns his gaze toward the white robed figure, he actually takes a step back, before he looks to Shirou, "You summoned those without shadow? What deed does thou truly seek to call upon the hands of those whom be mortal foe?"

Odin shakes his head before he widens his stance, "Matters little-- I shall lay you all upon the ground with my blade, even that which the shadows dare not to tread! I fear none and neither does my blade!"

The white robbed figure, looks over to Shirou, "We will have to speak on your timing, my dear Shirou." Then with both hands extended dark energy forms in his hands, as parts of his white robes bellow open, then with a sweeping of his hands, dark binds suddenly form around Odin's form, binding him from being able to swing the blade that is starting to glow brightly, as he sweeps his other hand the other way, more bindings come in.

"Act fast!" Elidibus calls out to those here, "For these shall not hold forever what wince is made of!"

His other hand then accepts out, "And accept my offering for this one turn!" If those who do wish to accept his offering, they will find a dark blast of energy fired at them, for that moment they will be empowered by something-- something that can not be explained or fathomed. (This will allow dynamic 4 attacks, and yes-- its dark energy-- no-- it wont linger after. Unless YOU want it too, then we'll talk some)
Defiant      The sudden appearance of a man in white almost has Armsmaster startled - well, more than it does startle him. It takes him a moment, but there's no golden glow - it's not Scion - and he is actuallky talking to other people. It's someone else. Someone who seems to know this 'Odin', and someone whose bearing indicates a significant confidence.

Someone who binds him with remarkable ease.

Readying his Halberd, Armsmaster breaks into a run. A quick press of his thumb, and purple fire leaps around the blade. Another step, and the stranger blasts Armsmaster with something. Something powerful, something that washes away his pain and fatigue.

     But it should be enough.

With a mighty roar, Armsmaster brings his Halberd above his head, leaving a bright purple arc as he swings it into position, and he brings it down in a powerful vertical swing. The plasma-wreathed blade will probably bury itself in the asphalt, but he'll hopefully wound Odin too.

Whatever happens after that, will happen. But Armsmaster is defiant until the ned.
Emiya Shirou     "Those... without shadow?" Shirou repeats. He'd felt that Elidibus and his group seemed a bit suspicious, but they have the same goal: stopping the Primals from rampaging across Hydaelyn.

Or so Shirou's been lead to believe thus far. But what could that mean? "What are you saying, war god? You know what I've been after! You keep endangering everyone with your bloodthirst. I don't care about your search, but stop dragging uninvolved people into it! If you can't do that... your warrior's pride means nothing to me. I'll just do whatever it takes to cut you down."

He twirls the daggers in his grip with considerable flourish. The boy is calm. Dreadfully, fiercely calm, somehow.

"Alright. I'll listen to your complaints later. Sorry." He answers Elidibus, thoughshows considerable surprise at the shadow magic that binds Odin so well... and the power filling him up that defies all his understanding of magic, but properly reinforces him in ways he can't explain or sense either.

Shirou's movements become much smoother as his torn, taxed body gains new power. "Huuuaaahh!!"

With a sharp cry he's upon Odin, the twin daggers dancing through light and dark. They bear a powerful curse that even the gods fear, though its nature is a double-edged sword. These daggers will cut deep into Odin, rend apart the Aether that makes him up and scatter it, erase it, unweave it, destroy it. The strikes are physically and spiritually ravaging - although, Shirou's version is much weaker than Priscilla's damage. In short, the damage is highly aggravated and might take longer to heal.

It's nowhere near enough to threaten Odin's actually existence, but that's gonna sting.
Jonothon Starsmore It's not enough. Jono realizes that there's something really big happening here. And that if they don't get this guy down soon they're going to find themselves on the ground. Shirou arrives and he's calling for someone. A white-robed man appears... was this who Shirou called?

And then suddenly he's offering power? Jono's reminded of that weird guy who runs around his world looking like the Christian Devil offering people power for their souls. The guy isn't asking anything in return for it though. Of course that just makes Jono MORE suspicious!

But can he really afford to question it now? Can he really stand to not accept it whatever the terms are? Sounds like it's temporary anyway. So there's little that can be levered against him. He hopes. Besides he's more worried about the other people here. What will this guy do if he's not stopped? How many innocent /non-Elite/ people are going to die if they don't succeed? So... he nods. But this sounds like one of those 'speak and it shall be done' things so he also sends at the man in white, "I accept."

And suddenly there's strength. His fire seems to leap in strength like someone's tossed kerosene on a bonfire. Not only that, but the color seems to change there at the ends. Where the staticky liquid flames were red the color is starting to be replaced by a bluish-purple. This is a bit worrying to Jono. But he feels fine. BETTER than fine, actually. It's enough. Enough to get him moving again.

Enough to do one last thing.

Shirou probably better move. Yes Jono is going to attempt to find an angle where he won't hit him or Armsmaster with this. But there's soon enough to be a MASSIVE blast of psychokinetic energy not-fire heading RIGHT AT ODIN.

Although... hit or miss when that rush of strength runs out Jono will collapse to his knees. He doesn't have anymore energy in him. All he can do is wait for whatever retaliation might be waiting for them.
Odin Odin goes to break free from the binds, just as the attack come in. The well timed binding was indeed perhaps what saved them from their pending defeat. When they all three attack with their new found energy, Odin tries his best to break free and though when he does-- it is all but to late.

The Halberd slams down on him, the knives dig in deep, and Jonothon slams him with the new found energy. Odin all but almost falls over as his form starts to slip away into aetheric energy. The sky rumbles and roars, but the darkness starts to dissipate around the area.

Odin reaches his hand out toward the man in the white robbed, those claw fingers extending out toward him, toward Elidibus. He goes to roar out, but his voice is lost as he body goes to impact the ground and shatters into aetheric energy fully at last.

They sky once more clearing up and things returning to normal.

Elidibus however stands where he is, before crossing his arms over his chest. "You all did a fine job, a moment to late and we all would have been upon death's embrace."

Then with a flicker of a dark portal he moves from that very location to the ground along side Shirou. His hand extending up as he draws back the dark energy once more from those who are not wanting of it. "I am also sorry to meet all of you in such a horrible fashion, perhaps next we meet will be under far better circumstances."

He then looks to Shirou with that red mask, "Shall we take leave to deal with the forging?"
Defiant      As the energy provided by Elidibus leaves him, Armsmaster leans all of his weight onto his Halberd, using it to support him and keep him standing. He raises one hand to the side of his helmet and says: "Armsmaster here. I require medical assistance."

But it's done. Odin is gone, although Armsmaster is fairly sure he isn't dead. He briefly glances over in the direction of Shirou and the white-robed figure but decides that isn't his concern.
Emiya Shirou     Shirou's forced to back away lest his allies' barrage end him - even if Jono's very precise, he's naturally spooked by HUGE WEIRD FIRE roaring in so close - but he does get plenty of slashes in... and he watches Odin vanish without a trace, just like the last few times. "..." The magus exhales harshly , as if apologizing for a harsh treatment. "... If anything, I admire your power, Odin." Perhaps the Primal will hear, in the Aether. Maybe he won't. "That overwhelming, berserk swordsmanship and honed techniques that can fell anything. There's no deception in your strikes and you take pride in your honesty. As warriors go, you're great at it. But I can't accept you, as long as you threaten even a single person with nothing to do with you. Yeah. You're more like a typhoon or a tsunami than a warrior."

No matter what, Shirou cannot accept Odin's existence when things are like this. "If you show up again like this, I'll be there too." It's a solemn statement. Not a promise or even a vow, ut just a statement.

The boy breathes in hard again. He looks over Jonothon and Armsmaster. "... those wounds..."

Well, presumably, there will be medical fussings and arrangements. But in the end... Shirou will be heading off with Elidibus. "Yeah. Before he strikes again. ...Sorry, I asked for something unreasonable, didn't I?" But Elidibus came and helped anyways. ...For that, Shirou's smiling at him a bit. Naively, maybe, but the appreciation is genuine!
Jonothon Starsmore The roar makes Jono wince. He shuts his eyes expecting some horrible attack to rip him to shreds. But the roar fades to silence and... silence. After a moment Jono opens one eye and... nothing. Well except for the damage that was caused. Jono gives a sigh of relief and pushes himself back to his feet. he's a little wobbly. Looking to the man in the white robe he 'speaks'. "...Thank yer. Don't think we'd've been able ter get through that without your 'elp."

Armsmaster's words get his attention and he looks over. Ouch. Jono winces. There are good points to not having a chest. Not bleeding from it is one of them. There's a gash along his side but apart from that he looks in reasonably good health. Shirou's words get his attention. Shonen hero mutterings about revenge and vows to stop a great enemy are still audible right? "...'Ey. That one 'o those Primal things?" he asks.
Odin Elidibus looks down at Shirou and tilts his head faintly. "I dare to see one whom I gave word to fall so swiftly to Odin's might. This only proves why it is important that what must be done." The white robed figure then looks to Armsmaster.

He then hrms softly, "I fear I can not aid in succor of wounds, as my power only grants me what I need for protection alone." The his attention turns to look at Jonothon. "That was Odin you faced, an Elder Primal from the times of when a mighty Empire once stood. Things did-- not go well for them then and he was sealed away all but not thousand years ago... give or take." He waves his hand idly. "But he broke free by the accidental hand of one of your people.. Marrik.. I believe his name was."

Elidibus then places out his hand to the side creating a portal. "Now Odin runs free once more and it is for this reason, Shirou and I are working on the means to end he and his ilk, before they all create great despair for the entirety of the multiverse."
