S6     The Walled City of Murabi. According to I29's surveys, this place was consumed by a Null Zone some 30 years ago, perfectly aligned to the data gathered from Norte and compared from Indus. The great wall of this city is carved from raw stone, carved right out of the mountains and standing as an almost-naturalistic monolithic structure. Within the perimeter is what were once buildings, long since decayed into rubble and wreckage, twisted metal and plastic and little else.

The only thing that stands, near-perfectly centered within the wall, is a cylindrical tower of corrosion-covered metal. A late industrial structure from a forgotten age, all pipes and cranes and cables, quite out of place compared to its surroundings. Scattered around it is an industrial complex of heavy machinery, flickering lights indicating it is still powered, perhaps as a result of the reportedly operational Mana Turbine.

At least traveling here across the desert was a straightforward endeavor, wether it is flight or magic or overland; the rendesvous point is right at a section of the collapsed wall.

S6 descends here, wrapped in a black-tinted suite of steel and technology. It unfurls itself from a vaguely aircraft-like shape into a more humanoid one, the android tucked into its torso section. Readouts flicker across her vision, acknowledged with a nod before she swings the adapted prototype around, "Long range flight produced no detected abnormalities. I4?"
Ishirou I4 had shot off early to do recon.  Mostly to confirm I29's readings and get more actionable intelligence.  S6 lands as I4 sits outside of his own suit.  He's running his hands over what looks like a holographic keyboard.  His eyes covered by the 'blindfold' because right now he's doing heavy spotter work.

He sighs and slides the keyboard off once S6 lands.

"Well, the good news is that Nullborn is very obvious.  The bad news is that we're definitely going to have to deal with it.  There are literally no alternative routes to the Mana Turbine.  Perhaps we can draw it away, and send a team in to shut it down, but that might be too dangerous," I4 says with a shrug.

"Underground and into the mountain are just various pipes and aqueducts. If the outside of the city is any indicator, even if there were any large enough to get in that way, if our null wakes up we're in big trouble."

"No abnormalities, except that high-speed maneuvers, make me dizzy," I4 admits.  "You?"
Shigure     Kuma and Yuudachi arrive at the rendesvous point, trudging through the desert on foot with their rigging equipped.

The pair arrive in time to get the report from I4. "Yuudachi and Kuma could distract the big guy, kuma." suggests the brunette, reaching up and tying up her hair in a thick, poofy ponytail. Yuudachi does much the same, then adjusts her rigging, traversing the turrets in sequence.
Arianrhod     A small dust cloud comes into view not too far away from the rendezvous point, apparently getting closer as it heads straight for it. As it does so, the form creating it becomes clearer. Namely that of a fully armoured warrior riding atop a steed at a fast pace.

As she reaches the point where others are gathering, Arianrhod slows her horse, bring it to a stop once she arrives. Her armour glints in the sunlight, her full helmet turning to look at the others who are here. She had not been to this world before. Though having read a little about it in Concord records, she felt it was worth a visit.

Arianrhod listens atop her mount to the report provided by I4. As he provides the options available, the blonde warrior speaks, her voice echoing from her helmet, "I would not be opposed to providing a diversion for the monster. The danger does not concern me." The evidence of her heavy armour along with the confidence in her voice suggests truth to that statement.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is once more on world S6 and I4 hail from. Again they are going to a graveyard that was once a city, the question is what happened here? Well, the mission was fairly clear they had to handle the Nullborn and get the turbine to shut down.

Kotone thinks for a moment and then looks to I4. "I'll join the team going after the Turbine if we do that I'm better at sneaking around and technical skills than fighting to be honest."

She says this all over the comms az she beings her own craft some sort of Jeep to a stop and gets out. She's kitted out in stealth armour and has an assault rifle over her back.

"Let's get this done."
Lilian Rook     When Lilian had first come here, it'd been at Tamamo's interest. To pull off the angle she was going for, Lilian had cooperated in conveniently omitting the details of where the two were strictly from, and dressed to act the part.

So, seeing as they're back here again (and it has several utilitarian uses besides), she has dispensed with the Immune corps combat suit and shown up dressed in the red and white of something approximating a traditional shrine maiden outfit, stripped down, modernized, and styled up more less drag and more maneuverability, with some thicker layer woven inside the silk. Going along with the golden accessories with gemstones set to be flower arrangements, she really actually matches Tamamo.

Tamamo, who didn't want to cross a desert, because that sucks, and so she'd done the favour of just picking up and flying over the whole thing in no time at all, depositing her easily from a bridal carry because her weight is basically nothing to her. The only other thing she'd come strapped with is a very large pack somewhere between a duffel bag and a reinforced mountaineer's backpack, which she drops to ground with a very, very hefty thunk.

"The mana turbine is underground, right? Is that where this giant monster would be? If it's so huge, it wouldn't really have anywhere else to hide. Maybe on the opposite side of the mountain?" Considering that, Lilian extends her arm like a falconer and a pitch black crow of unusual size flaps down out of nowhere to purch on it, so dark its beak and eyes just blend into the mass. With a flourish, she sends it flying off around the perimeter of the mountain, half-concentrating on what it sees.

"Stone walls though. Why? I guess they're as bulletproof as anything, but the repairs . . . They don't even look smashed down."
Eggman      Crack.

     Hiss.

     Fizz.

The sound of the soda being opened is probably only slightly less unnerving that the man doing the opening.

The Egg Mobile descends from on high. It is little more than a floating pod-chair. In that chair sits the nefarious Doctor Ivo Robotnik, alias Doctor Eggman, drinking what is unmistakably some ice-cold cola. It appears to have come out of some hidden compartment in the Egg Mobile.

     Slurp.

The Master of Machinery surveys the landscape over his soda, silent but for the sound of him drinking. Though his eyes are hidden behind his pince-nez glasses, his gaze lingers on the plastic, the metal, the buildings, the cranes, and the flickering lights.

Finally, Eggman comes to a decision.

"As good a place as any to mount a forward defense."

The Egg Mobile moves over to some of the discarded plastic and metal. A pair of mechanical arms extend from the Egg Mobile's sides as Eggman leans forward, adjusting his glasses. "Now then...let's take a closer look at what I have to work with..."

The arms reach into the piles of scrap and plastic, gathering them up and lumping them near everyone else's arrival point. In short order, there's a pile of discarded scrap, rusted metal, concrete pieces, and junk.

The arms move with *surprising* speed. In almost no time the pile of junk is gone. Where once was a pile of garbage now stand several highly-advanced robots, each made of pieces of what was gathered by the Egg Mobile. The robots begin fanning out to grab other bits of scrap and garbage, immediately constructing some makeshift turrets at each corner of the rendezvous zone.

Eggman kicks his black waders up on his dashboard and takes a long sip of his soda.

"There. Now we won't be caught immediately unawares if something happens to attack."

"Once we get inside I'll be able to start repairing the actual infrastructure, but making sure the evacuation point is secure...honestly, what sort of military machines are you?"
Lily     Taking into advice from what the warlord lady said on the broadband Lily and Rei are out and about, exploring, looking for things to hone their talents on... what talents they are is a bit up in the air but they have some they're wanting to hone. Questing can only get you so far. "Rei, where are we?" she questions to her partner... who gives a very visible shrug. "This isn't on our maps at least. THere's a city over there though, or what looks to be one."

Punching it on the small two man ATV, the two make their way towards the area, looking overhead at the flying plane-like thing, "Eh? Keep an eye on that Rei, I'm going to follow it, it's heading towards that area... maybe there's something major going on there!" It doesn't take long for them to follow and skid to a stop, kicking up some sand...

"Oh, there's... a lot of people here." Lily mutters, "Umm, hi?"
Tamamo     Tamamo no Mae has arrived, as mentioned, with Lilian Rook. She seems quite fine with being carried, having lacked wings and being less than enthusiastic about trudging across a desert. Hers is hardly the outfit it, though she could, assuredly, endure.

"It is not terribly pleasing a landscape, is it? Oh, yet perhaps do prefer lawns of rusted pipes?" Surrounded by wreckage, then deserts, no less. The carved-out wall meets with somewhat more approval. "They brought themselves to the mountain, though that is no easier in such practice than to bring the mountain elsewhere, in suitably small pieces."

Though there was mention of a large enemy, that's not the specific point she came here to investigate. "Would this single structure be the 'mana turbine'? Or else, perhaps, is it within the tower? I should like to examine this one with care." Upon catching I4's words about the underground, she agrees with Lilian. "Aha, and so, the important structures have been kept into deeper carvings into the mountain, yes?"

That said of her motivation, she's not keen on rushing ahead while ignoring the rumored enormous opponent, either. Stealthy, she is not.
S6     "R&D is finalizing an update to the equilibrium protocol which should help with that," S6 comments to I4, "I am engaged in the beta test." She swings her machine around to gaze across the wreckage-strewn ground between the wall and the tower, "The Mana Turbine is located inside the tower. Its destruction is our objective. I'm afraid that is counter to your request, miss Tamamo." Her acknowledgement of Arianrhod and Kotone is quieter, a simple nod to the knight and cyborg.

"It was convenient, I suppose," is the only answer she offers to Lilian before Eggman's commentary pulls her attention. Her machine doesn't turn much, though her head does, examining the scientist with hidden eyes. His assembly of a defensively emplacement is appraised, though she pays little attention to it and more to the robots as they venture further into the city, at least for a moment.

"Mm, static emplacements aren't very useful for hit-and-run operations. But thank you." She hefts one arm of her machine's exoframe, locking an ammunition canister into place, "The Kolossos is inside the central structure, not underground or behind the mountain. It will be impossible to fulfill our objective without destroying it first. I am going to--"

She is interrupted, however, when Eggman's robots venture into the industrial complex around the tower structure. One of the dormant machines lurches suddenly to life. It hauls upward, drawing free an excavation wheel lined with massive teeth. As this spins up, the arm swivels on its mount, smashing the offending robot and hurling its pieces far and wide.

"Engaging," is all S6 states. Her exoframe reconfigures into its flight form, hurling the android up and away towards the incident.
Ishirou "Oh well, that's /good/.  Ugh, they should have let me on that project, it'd be done by now but nooooo..." I4 complains.  During this, however, others show up and he shrugs.

When the question of where is the Mana Turbine and the Kolossis, I4 points for them.  The Turbine being in the tower, and the Kolossos in the central structure.  "I was looking for a way around, but couldn't find it.  Drawing its attention was an idea, but S6's assessment is probably the right one."

He turns his head to Tamamo and Lilian, "Tactically, I'd be careful with your magic.  Nullborn tend to prioritize those who can use magic first, seeing them as a threat no doubt.  The Kolossis is large, very tough, and extremely powerful.  Expect sweeping attacks, dangerous if you should not be out of their range."

Eggman gets a shout from I4, "HEY!  I am a very GOOD military robot.  I haven't scanned the area for static defenses yet because I am focusing on intelligence, instead of sucking on a straw loudly," Stupid Eggman, calling him bad at his job.

Lily asks for more information, and he shrugs, "This is a dangerous place, a monster is here we're going to need to kill to accomplish our goal...and apparently the automated defenses are on too.  That must be why the power draw is still on and why other parts are browning out."

To Kotone, "Don't bother with that plan, it was just musing and decidedly more bias on my part because I prefer going around danger than having to deal with it," He gives the two Botes a wave, "Sorry for the trek, we don't have enough suits for everyone."

However, with the defense system activating, he jumps back to his suit and straps in.  S6 will have a head start on him, and as he raises the suit moving into flight mode.  "I'll plot you a course through the city.  I'll try and avoid defenses."
Eggman      The robot is utterly torn to pieces in the face of the assault. Eggman doesn't even blink. In fact he doesn't seem especially concerned by it at all. As the machine crumbles and the makeshift battery is torn to shreds, Eggman's sole response is to let other people deal with it. Instead, the Egg Mobile floats over to one of the clearly-broken industrial machines, Eggman whistling a cheerful tune as his other junk robots are torn to pieces.

The Doctor whips out a wrench and leans forward out of the Egg Mobile, examining the machine with the critical and expert eye one might expect from a man who claims to have a 300 IQ. He flips the wrench in his hand idly as he whistles.

     Finally, he goes to work.

It's a marvel to watch him go. The ruined machine is reassembled at a rapid pace. It's like watching one of those how-to videos in triple fast forward. It's hard to believe he's even *seeing* what he's doing, hard to believe he's even *paying attention* to what he's doing as he repairs and rewires the machine. He might not be. Those pince-nezes are hard to look through.

When all is said and done, Eggman slaps an Eggman Empire sticker on the side of the repaired machine. Indeed, bits of the broken industrial machine have been twisted, hard corners rounded into smooth designs, colors turned a bright red-yellow-and-black, heavy industrial bits pumping and whirling smoothly, as if they were brand new. Its headlights have been turned into ridiculous eyes.

"A much more stable base. Now then..."

"Get me over to that building safely. Then, you deal with any other surprises up here," he orders the repaired industrial machine.

Satisfied, he disappears the wrench into the Egg Mobile and starts floating for the central tower, the industrial machine following him obediently.
Shigure     Kuma and Yuudachi listen. I4's comment earns a shrug from both. "We're fine, kuma." Seems that the nullborn is in a position where it's a gatekeeper, so distracting it won't help things either.

As something starts bashing Eggman's robot scouts, the kanmusu pair elevate their turrets and spread out, following the interior of the wall in different directions. Yuudachi tries to close the distance, while Kuma hangs back.

Kuma's shoulder turret elevates its three barrels, and lobs explosive shells at the machine-arm. "Don't underestimate me, kuma!" she bellows, mantling over some debris to get a higher vantage point.

Yuudachi, meanwhile is parkouring through the debris... as best as a ship spirit can at least. She mostly just bashes blockages out of her way, but does jump over lower barriers to get closer, into range.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa takes note of everyone else who is arriving, Kotone takes note of the emplacements that Eggman has set up. If they need a fallback point? They have one now thankfully. She looks to S6 nodding back in understanding. So tha5t's how the mission is going to go, so be it;. Now they just have to get to the objectives, she springs ahead heading for the target location she will pay attention to anything I4 has to say.

The big old industrial robot powers up with the intent to turn them to gibs and or scrap depending on who it gets it's hands-on.

Kotone is not having any of this as she fires off the grenade from her rifle's launcher and then stars firing, though not wildly aiming for anything that looks like it might be A camera or other sensor systems.

She also is bounding and double-jumping over things not wanting to keep still in the face of this thing. she also takes note of Kuma's and Yuudachi's attacks as well to not get in their way.
Arianrhod     Arianrhod doesn't seem to be all that interested in introductions, as Lily's greeting only gets a brief glance from the armored warrior. Instead her helmet turns to focus more on those robots of Eggman's, watching them work. It's impressive, the speed at which they are able to construct more of their own.

Of course, the activation of the large excavation wheel and subsequent destruction of one of those robots is hard to miss. It seems that some of these machines are still alive. And intent on keeping them away. Arianrhod hmms, "This presents a challenge..." Apparently one that Arianrhod is not against engaging.

S6 and I4 blast off. Arianrhod doesn't hesitate to follow, kicking her horse into a quick gallop right out of the gate. She heads straight towards that large raised wheel, in what looks like a suicide charge.

It doesn't take long for Arianrhod to reach the large industrial digger. Her helmet tilting up as she looks at the imposing wheel of metal teeth. But as the excavator arms shift down, trying to crush Arianrhod beneath it, the armoured warrior deftly guides her horse to the side, allowing the wheel to crash into the ground just beside her.

At this point, Arianrhod rises to stand atop the saddle of her galloping horse, before leaping off it and up towards the excavator. She lands upon the side part of the arm where the wheel connects. But only for a moment as she leaps again, this time soaring up and over the main arm. As she does so, her hand reaches out to her side. An ornate lance appears in her with a flash of light and she spins the long weapon around to point down.

As Arianrhod's leap reaches its peak and she begins to fall towards the arm, lightning begins to crackle along the surface of the lance. Until finally Arianrhod drives the lance into the arm, unleashing the highly charged energy into the machine.
Tamamo     "Oh, it must be halted, of course," Tamamo says to S6, "but will this allow nothing to be left?" Maybe. Depending on how many bombs are involved. Tamamo can't do a lot in the way of very precise destruction, herself.

Then the machinery comes to life. "Oh!" And it wrecks a robot. "Oh, dear." Its creator is unconcerned with that particular destruction, and is even building something bigger, but the way ahead now seems rather more perilous than it had a minute ago. The assurances that they'll have to deal with the Null to reach the turbine don't help matters.

"I fear I can do little to hide my presence," Tamamo says to I4, "apart from delay such an inevitable. Perhaps it would be better I do so immediately, instead, rather than leave it to choose its own time to appear."

Looking to Lilian with a smile, "And, of course, you shall protect me, yes? Ah, and yet, perhaps it would be better that I stand to draw attention, while you go on ahead and see that we have some knowledge of the machinery. We would not wish to leave it all to the good doctor, no?"

With that in mind, Tamamo doesn't yet act, but prepares. She doesn't have to draw mana out of the land to ready her magic, but only because she can draw it down from the sky, and is already, thereby, a font of obvious magical power. This is visually impressive, her medium being sunlight, obvious across arcane senses, and will be unleashed at a slightly later point.
Lilian Rook     "So, I have a question." Lilian aims at S6, dismissing the airborne crow with a wave of her hand when it fails to turn up anything. "If this place became a nullzone many many years ago, but the mana turbine is still functional, where is it generating the mana from? Furthermore, why is this the only nullborn in the area? If they wanted to destroy the mana turbine, they've had plenty of time. If they want to control it, where are the main forces?"

She makes a little noise, turning her eyes back again. "Everything people do here seems to be motivated by convenience."

Depressing a recessed foot lever on the huge pack, Lilian pops the top with a series of loud clicks and a thunk, and spreads it out into what is apparently a folded *gun safe*. "No problem." she says to I4. "The coalition companies behind the G.D.F's arms manufacture are trialing weapons suitable for Immune corps use. Modified series that pure bodies can take advantage of. A giant, resilient target like this one should be ideal for data gathering, so that's what I'm doing. The tactical data should cover some large purchases I'm looking at in the near future. I'll only resort to magic if this much turns out to be totally insufficient."

When Eggman comes floating in, sipping on a cola and slapping together a robot out of detritus --then again from the scraps of that detritus-- she allows her measured dislike for the man to subside long enough to add "Isn't all this junk powered by mana? Did you already figure that out somehow? Or is a battery a battery?" The more important question though, is "So this thing just walked right through the automated defenses that are still active? What the hell is going on here?" The beginnings of a scowl tug at her lips when he just flies off.

Removing matte black firearms of heavy, solid-piece design, demarcated with bands of saffron yellow across four-way split apertures without a muzzle, Lilian ends up completing a look that is entirely at odds in more ways than one. For months, she's spent all her time showing up to important occasions in elegant dresses for drinks and negotiations, like the environment she was raised in. It's jarring to contrast the environment she chose to adapt to. Fastening tactical webbing around her waist and thighs to carry a number of critical items, and then harnessing two long arms over opposite shoulders, small arms at her lower back, and sidearms to each leg, 'elegant shrine maiden' quickly becomes 'tactical shrine maiden', which definitely doesn't make sense, but is no doubt all the rage with anime nerds somewhere. Most of the case is still full.

"Of course~" she replies to Tamamo, her demeanour quickly shifting from suspicious to sweet all at once. "I'm glad we're on the same wavelength. I know I can trust you, so please trust me."

Guessing that multiple Elites engaging a single defense robot will have it in hand without her self-styled 'assistance' (read: carrying), Lilian starts walking forward and then blips past the outermost engagement site. She doesn't go all the way to the tower, but skips deep enough into the industrial ruins to look at it up close. Any automated defenses that stir up around her are met with twinned fire from overpowered sidearms, casually shrieking out blue fire and flashing tracers in rather un-firearm-like manner. She keeps a steady pace going forward, shooting while moving if waylaid, tapping as many rounds as she needs to into anything that she has to fill with molten hot holes without slowing her roll. She patrols around the industrial grid at the perimeter of the tower, scouting out where the power is still on by reading the flow of mana with her extrasensory perception, aiming to figure out where it's being interrupted, and by what. Damage? Age? Appliance failure? Rerouting? Low output? Unstable cycling?
S6     "Understood," S6 states to I4, "Look for an opening. Capitalize on it. Keep yourself safe."

The Excavator is partially Magitech, but enough of that is intact for Eggman to work around or repurpose into a functional machine, perhaps the EGG GRINDER or some absurd name like that. It does obey his commands once online, deploying a set of caterpillar tracks and lifting itself off the mangled railway network it had previously been mounted on, so that it can follow him as directed.

With more hostiles approaching the complex, the excavator's wheel twists into a horizontal position as the machine swivels around, sweeping wreckage around it away in a broad arc, hurling shrapnel a surprising distance. It's at this point that Arianrhod's lance buries into it just in front of the 'elbow' joint, jamming something with a metallic squealing sound. Smoke pours out, followed by flames, sparked by the electricity. An engine rumbles to life, and it slides down the track leading to the central tower.

A second excavator wheel wrenches itself from the earth on a parallel track, already in motion on its own rails as it swivels towards the lancer knight.

Kotone at last spots cameras: A set of sixteen lenses, mounted in clusters of four, on the tower itself in a rather dark location. Only the radiant light of Arianrhod's electrified lance reflecting off the glass gives them away. When the shot is taken, one of those glimmering lenses shatters in a spray of sparks and glass.

The other fifteen lenses suddenly flash bright red. Panels on top of the structure slide open. Plumes of smoke and light erupt from the tower's roof, promptly arcing down onto the various attackers approaching it. Arianrhod herself is safe, as it's not firing on 'itself', but the the fire is more or less evenly divided between the remaining targets; The shipgirls, the mad scientist and his excavator, the sniper and her AI companion, the cyborg, the goddess, the immune, and both airbound androids. More or less, because the massive magical signiture of Tamamo no Mae gets an extra missile for being extra shiny.

Though Lilian's disappearing act does foul the missiles directed her way, appearing inside the compound puts her in relative safety, behind the reach of the excavators, though they are approaching.
Ishirou "Well, I tried," I4 states towards Tamamo.  "I'll just assume you know what you're doing there, and Lilian has your back." He states, not liking the situation, but he has to deal with it none-the-less.  He acknowledges Lilian's preparedness, "Alright then!  I'll work some magic and get us some extra firepower."

Flying upwards and forcing the armor to shift out of flight mode and into fighter mode, he points one of the arms down towards the auto defenses.  He shoots a ball toward sit, which aims to try and force access into the systems.

He starts by trying to access the defensive network and gain control of the auto defenses.  The second step is trying to turn them on the Nullborn.
Shigure     Kuma bunkers in, her backpack deploying a hornets nest of light guns that spray the air around the missile with flak shells and autocannon slugs, trying to destroy it before impact. The missile gets close enough that it detonates and shreds some of the rig structure with shrapnel, but the cruiser is otherwise only lightly damaged. Her turrets clanks, reloading before the barrels elevate again. She fires, and the tracer lines are a pale yellow-white instead of the dark orange from before. These shells piece into their impact point before detonating inside, the cruiser aiming for the second hostile excavator arm's center of mass, trying to disable it before it can get into position.

Yuudachi jukes behind a big pile of rubble, letting the missile slam into it, showering her in shrapnel that scores lines of black across her skin and shreds parts of her uniform. She pulls torpedoes from her thigh racks, and rounds the remains of her cover, hurling them like kunai as she clambers up to join Arianrhod. Yuudachi's lighter cannons fire into the structure of the arm, aiming to blast more of it apart to fully cripple it.

"It feels like we're fighting the entire building!" comments Yuudachi before salvoes from her 12.7cm cannons.
Lily     Lily and Rei are still a bit outside, but as the Kolossus starts to activate, the gun girl pair just look on in awe. "Oh, this is... this is a big mark." they say in unison, there's a look between them and they nod towards each other.

"Show time." they say once again in unison as Rei starts to rush in, assault rifle at the ready while Lily herself, points her wrist up at one of the spots on the wall, launching a grappling hook that yoinks her up into that spot, a sniper rifle materializing in her hands, "Alright, let's see... Rei watch out for any counter attacks, see if you can find any control scheme. Link up with an ally here and guard them."

Rei nods at what seems to be nothing, "Understood." she chimes out before moving in towards Eggman's position, "You were the closest, I'll be helping you out per Lily's orders." a pause "You look like you got it though!"

Lily, meanwhile, sets herself up in a small little alcove of damaged building and starts to take aim, looking through the scope to home in on spots of the Kolossus. "In position."
Arianrhod     "It is impressive in its size. But still just a machine. It will break."

Arianrhod keeps her lance embeded in the arm of the machine, continuing to channel that lightning into it in the hopes of increasing the damage she's doing. Unfortunately she finds herself the target of a second excavator arm. Her helmet turns to look at it just as it sweeps towards her. Arianrhod is able to pull her lance out just before she's struck full on by the digger.

The blonde warrior is sent flying. She hits the horizontal wheel of the excavator she had been attacking, bouncing across it. She's getting close to the edge, but before that happens she whips an armoured hand out to grab hold of its structure, stopping her momentum.

Arianrhod stands up on the slowly spinning wheel, swinging her lance up in front of her. It begins to glow with light. Arianrhod then swings it down once more, the light blasting off the long weapon into a shockwave. That energy streaks towards the point where the wheel connects with the arm, Arianrhod trying to separate the two and deprive the excavator of its main weapon.
Eggman      With the Egg Grinder in place to protect him from any oncoming threats, Eggman's Egg Mobile just floats into the central tower. Again, Eggman whips out his wrench and goes to work, rerouting power into the lights to kill that infernal flickering. At the moment that's literally all he's doing - fixing the lights.

OK, he *might* be turning them into laser traps at the same time, but *mostly* he's rerouting power so they stop flickering, because it's annoying the hell out of him.
Lilian Rook     Patrolling around the inner reaches of the compound, Lilian spends a short while checking power conduits, receivers, what passes for outlets in these buildings, and the states of the lights and other machines themselves, looking for the break in the chain. After assessing enough of it to draw an early conclusion, she opens her radio link long enough to say:

"Not much in here is damaged by more than lack of maintenance, and even then, it's not bad enough for all of the fixtures to be failing. The power supply itself is inconsistent. The turbine isn't putting out at a stable enough rate to do more than leak little jumps and sputters of energy. Do you think that nullborn is blocking it? Maybe absorbing it?"

But the defense situation escalates. The roar of rocket exhaust is unmistakable even after moving across the whole rubble field, and so is the drop of an aspect seeking missile ramming ground once its target mad shifted completely out of its acqusition cone. Lilian turns around at once, spotting where the cluster of missiles is headed and which targets it's divided between. With the radio off, she hisses "Christ almighty I left those people behind figuring they could handle a robot. Do I have to do everything myself?" And then she's off.

                -----[stop]-----
Lilian launches off and flies at high speed over the compound, closing in on the two missiles she can see angled towards Tamamo. Having promised to protect her not long ago, she couldn't care less where the others go at this point. Reaching each of them, hanging in mid-air under dull smudges of fire and columns of smoke seemingly solid as stone, she graps each one around the middle, away from the warhead and exhaust, pulling them out of place --leaving a hovering blob of flame-- and turns them back towards the defense machine, giving each one a solid boot for show.
                -----[start]-----

Lilian simply appears in mid-air, taking one frame to intercept the missile paths. With a pair of seemingly instaneous kicks, they almost completely reverse course, sharply turned straight towards the angry robot.
Kotone Yamakawa The moment it's clear Eggman has control of Excavator she does not class it as a threat. One camera is taken out but the rest of them are intact and the systems is fully awake now. At least that's what she thinks it is. The fire comes and Kotone is forced to start dodging for all she's worth. She avoids becoming a smear and will bunker down behind some rubble, rather than adding fire she'll open up her wireless system and attempt to help I4 by hacking the system as well. In an attempt to aid him in taking control of the defence systems.

<<I figure two will make this go faster I4.>>

Hopefully she can apply her experience from the flying powered armour int he last city to attacking this system for the takeover of the defence systems. Hopefully for Kotone and everyone else this pays off.
Tamamo     There are quite a few things someone with powers like Tamamo's could do in this situation, with missiles rushing toward her, but the kind of precision needed to swat them out of the sky isn't as readily available as the mere strength to do so. She withdraws talismans from either sleeve, a few hovering around her, yellowed paper rippling in the localized maelstrom kicking up. These won't defend her, precisely. Rather, they're there to immediately heal her, afterward. Even if the end result is the same, thinking about the pain this route necessitates is enough to have her expression twitch.

Apruptly, the missiles change position, and she is no longer being targeted, perhaps for the success of the nearby hackers. This gives her enough time to pour levels of power into that ornate, floating mirror that follows her around, but no clear target into which to launch it. Shouldn't a 'siegebreaker' have shown itself? Holding onto that kind of thing isn't something she can do for long, but maybe just a bit longer wouldn't hurt, without any uncontrolled explosions.

No one seeming to have taken such injury as to require her immediate care, while her attention is still mostly focused elsewhere. She starts moving toward the tower, if slowly, still a shining beacon of divinely magical energy.
S6     S6 fires off an answer to Lilian while twisting herself around incoming missiles. Switching to combat form, machine gun fire is levied on them as they come about. One explodes, the other impacts the android's flight unit near the top. As it breaks up, she ejects from it, twirling around to direct her fall. Apparently she has this well in hand, since she isn't asking for assistance.

The first Excavator sweeps back along the same arc, bucket teeth torn free from torpedo explosions. Artillery from both shipgirls digs into the support structure, blasting free chunks of steel. Arianrhod's followup attack causes a shower of sparks from the now-exposed interior. Lines inside ignite, pouring out flames, and the arm collapses. Before long, however, it starts to move-- dragged down the tracks by its base mounting, only stopping when it is immediately alongside the tower. Due to the hacking efforts of I4 and Kotone, the second arm ceases its attacks, but doesn't cease moving, coming to a halt immediately beside the central tower.

Things go quiet for a moment, with only the sound of resolving attacks rattling through the air, such as the missiles Lilian redirected impacting the tower's external structure. Something black oozes from the walls, spilling out near the top, pouring down into the engine casings of the two excavators like thick gel or oil. When it has consumed both devices, it suddenly reverses, swells, and snaps rigid, hauling both massive machines off their rails until they affix to the sides of the tower itself. Nullborn flesh pours through the ruined internal components, replacing hydraulics with whatever these creatures treat as muscle and sinew, until even the ruined excavator spins up once again, wreathed in flames from splattered chemical oils.

That cluster of lenses pushes forward, emerging from the side of the building to reveal a skull-like casing of bent metal, filled with scarlet eyes. The entire structure twists, impossibly, wrenching itself off its foundation and then rising on legs of steel and stone bound together by that same void-black flesh. The Mana Turbine signature promptly terminates, but the size of the Kolossos Nullborn's reading finally makes sense.

The monster's lower jaw splits open and it leans perilously forward, unleashing a creaking noise that rumbles through the stones of Murabi. Weapons mounted to the structural exterior, those not destroyed by the missile impacts, open up with small arms on everything surrounding the building as it starts to move.
Eggman      Ah, good. The lights are fixed, just in time for the power to die as the colossal nullborn pulls itself together from the junk and the tower. Eggman's moustache bristles as he purses his lips. Without the mana turbine the Egg Grinder won't be able to sustain itself for long - his Egg Mobile needs to remain powered. In short order it's going to run out.

     Well, alright then.

The Egg Mobile backs out of the building and whirls above the Egg Grinder. "ALL SYSTEMS! FULL POWER!" He points dramatically at the rising Nullborn as it puts itself together.

The Egg Grinder's caterpiller treads suddenly whirr furiously. Its warning lights flare loudly as it starts grinding forward, far faster than any such heavy machine ought to be. Missiles smash into it as it charges.

The Egg Grinder is completely heedless of being torn apart. Each missile explodes, tearing off pieces of the grinder's armor. Bits of it litter the ground. Soon most of the egg-shaped shell (hah!) is torn apart, with only the last little bits of armor remaining - notably, the one with the Eggman Empire shell.

The Grinder charges into the giant Nullborn tower. The huge industrial wheel accelerates. It's trying to dig as *deeply* into the tower as possible before its power runs out, at which point, well...

It's going to blow up, because it's an Eggman Robot, and Eggman robots always blow up when they're destroyed.

But it's going to burrow in as deep as possible before it blows.
Shigure     Kuma repositions, her rig emitting clanks as the fairies reload. "Reloading armour piercing, 12 seconds." the appearance of the Nullborn as the building itself isn't a surprise, but the sheer size still catches the cruiser off guard a little. "Yuudachi, aim for the exposed joints on my mark, kuma. We have to slow it down, kuma!" The cruiser leaps from pile to pile, trying to position herself in line of sight with one of those legs. Eyes narrow as she zeroes in on the knee joint, sending her intentions via tight-beam radio to her fleet mate.

Yuudachi leaps off the excavator as it collapses, backing off further as the building starts to bleed nullborn flesh to grab the excavators to use as arms. The blonde destroyer frowns. "Repositioning now, on station in 10 seconds." She takes off at a sprint, barreling through blockages and sending clouds of desbris pluming up from the former streets. She comes to a stop with a skid, crouched on all fours so all her turrets can angle onto the target.

Kuma opens fire, aiming at the left knee joint, the salvo of 15.5cm shells striking at three different points on the structure. Yuudachi fires at almost the exact same moment, her smaller shells landing a second or two after Kuma's. Both sets detonate in tandem.
Kotone Yamakawa There is some good news they got some of the weapons under control the bad news is the tower shows it's true nature. "I for the love of ..."

I4 has plans to keep up the assault on the now moving tower's systems. She checks with him and he wants her to engage directly. It's time to do that she'll jack out as it were and swamp weapons. Her normal rifle isn't going to do much against something that bit, she needs something with a bit more firepower a massive rail gun is now in Kotone's hand and she's ling up a shot with it from cover.

She's going to line up shots on the Kolosso Nullborns 'face' going for the eyes hoping to make life more miserable for it. Hopefully, she can weather the small arms fire coming her way. For her cover which is rapidly being picked apart.
Ishirou Quick bursts of hacking data save I4 from being blown out of the sky by the giant robot.  Though he's far too focused on trying to keep being blasted out of the air.  Fortunately, the hacking keeps it from swinging the arm at it.  A sigh of relief there.

Not so much when S6 loses her flight, but her signal is ok which makes it slightly less frightening.  The flight unit moves, once more back into flight mode as it tries to keep itself mobile around the large unit that could likely swat him out of the air like a fly.

People go for the leg, but his idea is going for the arm itself.  Once more data is shot out as it moves around the creature.  Once more attempting to disrupt the connection between Nullborn and machine, and attempt to cause an explosion along the joint, while others move to the knee itself.

There is a plan there, he just needs time to implement it.
Arianrhod     The excavator she's standing on crashes down, dragged the rest of the way towards the tower. Arianrhod jumps off it at this point, calmly walking away from it. She stops, her helmet tilting upwards as she looks across the tower. As she does so, her horse trots up next to her. Arianrhod turns, reaching out to stroke its head for a moment.

It's at this point that the tower begins to come to life. Arianrhod slowly turns to watch as fusion of building and creature rises up, breaking free of its foundation. It's hard to gauge the full extent of her reaction, given the full helmet over her face. But the blonde warrior does take a short step back at the sight.

As the tower's weapons start to come to life, Arianrhod quickly turns and mounts her horse once more. She presses it forward, taking off just as the guns start firing. Bullets pepper the ground behind Arianrhod as she rides, some occasionally catching up and putting dents in her armour and sending sparks flying.

Arianrhod tries to stay ahead of the gunfire as she angles her mount towards one of the tower's new legs. She quickly rides past, her lance swinging out in one hand to try and slice through that twisted mess of steel, stone and flesh. Arianrhod then quickly circles around, riding past the same leg once more. And once more, swiping with her lance.

Arianrhod repeats her charges, trying to wear down the tower's leg along with the others. So that they can bring it crashing down.
Tamamo     This marks Tamamo's first experience with the Nullborn. "A peculiar and unpleasant thing, is it not?" That's her way of saying 'oddly revolting.' "Are they all of such nature?" Making use of whatever it finds around itself. Maybe it would bother her less if what it had to wear wasn't all this industrial scrap.

Whatever the case, her own work is clear at this point. Several of her floating talismans flicker, their text fading away as she writes their words of luck into her own Fortune, the better for delivering a critical hit. She frames the view with her fingers, thumbs and forefingers at right angles, rapid-fire chanting the incantation under her breath, lighting up on the massive machine-clad monster's eyes as her seeking curse identifies them.

Gunfire, most of it unaimed, impacts solid shields of light before her. Some of it passes through, only slowed rather than deflected, impacting her with dull thuds and scrapes. Tamamo winces at even these, though her readied healing talismans burn away with the effort of smoothing over bleeding lines and discolored bruises alike.

Her mirror raises, reflecting and inverting the energy it had drawn in in one moment of colossal effort. Where warmth and light had entered, magecraft instead guides an outpouring of torrential ice and wind, all of it flying up into the air, far enough to become no more than an odd meterological phenomenon for a moment, far from where it could harm anything.

Then it falls back down, toward the target marked by that curse of seeking, all guaranteed by the manipulated threads of Fate to concentrate blinding frost, shattering cold, and piercing ice into the thing's remaining eyes.
Lily     LIly's fortunately not been targeted from what she's seeing, and Rei's still there, keeping Eggman guarded as needed. Health bars are fine and she nods. She looks through the scope, pointing it to keep an eye at what people are doing. "Rei, see if you can get me a good shot from that position. If I can get this shot just right..." she mutters.

Back near *DOCTOR* Eggman, Rei grins, pointing her rifle's laser pointer at a few things... "Okay you scrapdash machines, go there, there, there and /there/. Lily, the right arm seems to be more heavily protected. I'm sending the bots there, it might take a few shots to make them explode though."

"I see, okay, I'll wait for them to be in position." there's a slow beat and she holsters her sniper rifle a bit to get into better position, stumbling over an odd crate. "Eh? Bullets? Rei, can you analyze this for me, inventory check." "High explosives? They look like they'd work for your sniper." "Perfect. Moving into a better position."

Loading up a few rounds, she gives a brief nod. "Lily, they should be in position!" "Roger." one grappling hook shot and up into the air she goes, "Let's see if this explosive ammo is still good." a quick sight... targets in the reticle and...

Bang. A shot rings out from mid air, sending Lily flying backwards from recoil, right into the very wall she was grappling up.
Lilian Rook     The entire building gets up. When Lilian had heard confirmed that the Nullborn was 'inside the building', she'd expected it to be curled up in the turbine chamber or something. Seeing its gooey black plasm spew out and repurpose the machinery of the walled city itself answers a lot of her previous questions, but then elicits "Excuse me?! I thought this thing was supposed to be some sort of giant, stompy monster! Where does a nullborn get off using the human machinery they hate so much?!"

This time, the monster has assembled so much weaponry that the sheer volume of fire it can put out in every direction has become a threat to Lilian. Seeing the calibre of it, and the utterly ruined state of the city, she quickly dismisses any tactical gain from dropping to ground and taking cover, instant relying on her aerial mobility to stay ahead of the tracking of its guns and homing arcs of its missiles. She speeds on ahead directly towards the colossus, entering and then skipping through its primary field of fire, until she's close enough that only a couple of guns can aim at her at one time.

From there she unlimbers the longer, larger 'bore' weapon from her back, pulling a bolt that causes holographics to come to life along its dorsal side, and to snap some sort of ammunition rail into place. It takes all of one second to figure out that she'd gotten so close to use something analgous to a shotgun. She strafes around the clusters of turrets and launchers at high speed, weaving in and around the machine's motive joints and excavation struts, blasting away, leaving huge starbursts of blue fire popping along her wake, and spitting heavy clusters of ultra dense needle ammunition into each emplacement in turn.

Wide, high velocity spreads punch superheated holes through armour with ease, though Lilian aims them simply to cover as much of each weapon emplacement as possible, saturating them with sheer volume of fire from multiple crackling blasts until they hit vital components or stored ammunition. So close to the action, even weaving and strafing at a furious rate, she can't keep out of every single shot --there isn't always space without bullets for her to occupy. She swerves and weaves through trails of fire backwards, sidelong, or even turning head over heels, to aim her weapon at each consecutive, haphazardly placed turret, stray shots that hit her drawing forth bursts of golden light from woven designs in her 'shrine maiden' outfit, diffusing most of the impact. She quickly corrects for each hit, coming out of tumbles or spirals by orienting herself against the giant robot's hard surfaces and launching back off again, minimizing her profile as much as possible so as not to end up a battered mess while she clears out a growing 'safe zone' in the nullborn's armaments.
S6     First to engage Kolossos when it rises is Eggman's Egg Grinder, more out of necessity than anything else given its power sources. It's through this that the exact nature of this Nullborn is revealed, as the excavator wheel bores into the building structure and then encounters something that gets ripped out as thick black sludge. Wholly unpleasant in every regard, the wheel digs in a good half its circumferance before the power drain and the resistance mire it down. And then of course it explodes, because that's what Eggman robots do when destroyed.

The creature is wearing the building like a suit of armor and weapons, controlling what's mounted to it. At least at the lower levels, the entire interior seems to be filled with Nullborn 'flesh', such as it is.

It's this explosion of the Egg Grinder combined with the armor-piercing shipgirl artillery that staggers Kolossos, and it pauses while regaining its balance with pieces of its leg straight up missing.

Several of the smaller ball-turreted defense guns stop functioning, blocked off by runes from I4's hacking system. Disabling the defensive guns gives Lilian the openings she needs to pick them off, turning that Temporary disability into a Permanent one. It's at this point that S6 lands on the roof, spreading her weight out on all fours yet still impacting with enough force to spread cracks from her hands and feet. With Kolossos thrashing about, she stays low to avoid being thrown off.

Kotone's railgun slams a hypervelocity round through Kolossos' face, destroying another one of its eyes. Its head immediately snaps in her direction, panels flipping open on its roof. The 'face' is then bombarded by pent up spells courtesy of Tamamo, shattering the dome-like covering and pounding exposed black flesh into sludge with repeated impacts of ice and lightning. The entire tower tilts back, staggering. Arianrhod tearing out another piece of its leg has it teetering.

It catches itself before collapsing, though. Both excavator wheels spin up, swinging slowly but powerfully on those near to it in sweeping strokes. An opportunity for makeshift robots to jump on when it pauses. Another salvo of missiles launch from the rooftop, scattering towards 'last known positions' rather than where attackers may have moved to.

As Kolossos rises back to its full height, its right arm covered in robots, Lily fires. The aimed shot misses, ricocheting off the metalic structure of the arm and disappearing inside. A heartbeat later, something critical inside explodes out in a jet of flame. The robot caught in this is incinerated, detonating in a blast that catches its neighbor-- and that one's burst destroys its neighbor, a chain reaction travelling up the excavator arm to the shoulder and blasting the entire assembly free in a spray of greasy black sludge.
Ishirou Despite everything, those hands were still dangerous.  I4 moves, quickly, trying to keep from being knocked out of the air, not while his plan is in motion.  Missiles rain down, trying to get his last locations, but fortunately not actively tracking.  It was only a matter of time if this was to continue, that something would eventually hit.

Explosions only manage to singe the armor, though rough and making it very turbulent, I4 remains in the air.  Then the explosion he was looking for, and the drop of the arm from the nullborn!

"POD!  Hack in and transfer control of the arm to this suit, link it up with the VRCS!" he commands, sending another ball of hacking to the arm with the attempt to gain control and connect it to his own combat systems.

This, of course, leaves him open while this occurs.
Eggman      Rei takes control of the disposable robots Eggman's been building. The robots just go on to build more of themselves when they get a spare moment - at this point they're nothing but ammunition for Rei to burn, constructing themselves out of layabout flammable material and other junk, automated to just...do that thing under Rei's control. Eggman himself has better things to do.

     Like go activate that reactor.

Apparently the Eggman is utterly fearless, or possibly more than a little insane. The Egg Mobile goes flying up through the storm of attacks, ducking and weaving around the swinging arms and avoiding any missile and gunfire. As the arm collapses and swings around under I4's control, Eggman sees his chance.

The Egg Mobile produces a massive drill between its arms. It's not really for attacking the Nullborn - it's just for getting to his objective.

     The Mana Turbine.

Eggman is just going in there to straight up steal the Turbine while everybody else is busy distracting the Nullborn itself.

     What a *jackass*.
Shigure     Kuma reloads again, her turret clanking resonantly. She bolts from her perch, leaping across to another pile, then to the top of a larger stack that was probably once a housing complex, not little more than a crumbling pile of concrete and fragmented rebar. The missiles slam down where she was previous, annihilating the poor pile of scrap and sending a plume of shrapnel out in all directions. The Kolossus is on the ropes, time for the knockout punch. "Retargetting to knee joint, kuma. Lets bring this thing down, kuma!" Turret aims in, then lobs another trio of shells at the damaged knee joint, bracketing the joint with two, and slamming the third into the center.

Yuudachi straightens up, and punches the air as the thing starts to teeter and nearly topples down... but then it rights itself and lobs missiles again. This volley lands directly on the blonde destroyer, engulfing her in a cloud of smoke and dust from the blast... only to have the cloud burst outwards, revealing the full sized ship-form of the destroyer emerging, and slamming down into the street. She's damaged, but turrets swivel up and aim at the knee joint, firing their shots to join Kuma's.
Arianrhod     That large lumbering excavator arm comes streaking down towards Arianrhod as she rides. Even with the speed of her horse, the large size of the digging wheel is hard to avoid. The ground behind her starts to be ripped up as the machine closes in. Arianrhod presses her mount forward, but it can't out run it. The wheel catches up, both mount and rider are thrown by it and the debris its throwing off. Lost amidst the dust cloud.

Once the dust settles, the shape of Arianrhod's horse can be seen lying on the ground. Dead. And behind it is Arianrhod herself. Still standing, though the armour adorning one of her arms has been torn apart, revealing her skin beneath covered in blood.

Despite the injury, Arianrhod still seems intent on fighting. She closes her eyes for a moment as she briefly considers bringing out her trump card... No. The situation isn't quite that dire.

Instead, Arianrhod raises her fist in front of her. She then throws her hand out to her side, a powerful aura bursting to life beneath her. She raises her lance into the air, a vortex of swirling light forming around her. Reaching upwards into the sky.

Arianrhod swings her lance down, pointing towards the towering Nullborn. The vortex rushes forward, continuing to grow in size and is moves to engulf the large building-wearing creature. As it begins to ravage the exterior structure, Arianrhod swings her lance behind her, spinning it around in her hand. Taking a step, Arianrhod unleashes a warcry as she heaves her lance forward, letting it go. As it leaves her hand, the weapon quickly accelerates to an unnatural speed, aimed for the tower's center mass.

Upon striking, a massive cross of light forms behind the equally massive creature. There's a rising hum of power, before the cross explodes in a brilliant flash of light.
Tamamo     Tamamo starts moving once she's certain that she's hit, and can move rather quickly, when she's not trying to keep a firm hold on a leash. She has no shortage of personal energy, even after that, and her steps leap from point to point, avoiding the incoming missiles as much by good Fortune as any purposeful attempt. She again looks about across today's assembled allies, but again, none seem in too great a spot of immediately lethal danger.

Lilian's suit continues to protect her, and should only need recharging. Tamamo's own wounds have already healed, only reducing her supply of talismans, though those require individual preparation in her downtime. She sees Arianrhod take it against her armor, but is unable to see through the armor to find the woman's actual condition, and has already moved on before the next blow lands. She notices Kotone behind cover. S6 isn't immediately spotted, but at least hasn't called for assistance. On the other hand, Tamamo isn't sure how bad things would have to be such that S6 would call for help.

If there was anyone in significant danger of 'about to be horribly injured' in her line of sight, it would be either how I4 appears to be exposed, or how Eggman just drilled straight into the thing being rocked by explosions and gunfire.

Oh. Oh, no! That doesn't sound like a safe or sane course of action at all, and neither his demeanor nor history of behavior, obvious genius aside, assuage her immediate and natural concern.

Tamamo leaps again, this time to climb up the machine-clad creature, and follow Dr. Eggman inside. Someone might get hurt in there.
Lilian Rook     Lilian quickly breaks free as the greater mass of guns on one side finally shuts down. Having cleared enough space that the rest of the remaining weapons can't aim at anyone occupying it, she takes a minute to regain space and regain her breath. Flicking away beads of sweat and rolling her arms and back to maintain flexibility where the bullet impact sites are going to swell shortly, where she regains contact with the ground, her feet let off little gouts of staticky black smoke while she draws her magic back in.

The aperture of her weapon sizzles as she pulls a slide and ejects the lack, smoking black casing. Completely emptied, she tosses it to the ground, swinging the shorter, stouter weapon down, pressing the stock to her cheek and summoning the layered targeting holograms at eye level. Widening her stance and leaning her shoulder forward, Lilian begins a steady, firing extraction, strafing sidelong back towards the edge of the city, moving at high speed and a level pattern between chunks of building while pouring fire into the flagging Kolossos.

It's a lot of fire. The air fills with a sound like tearing paper over the electrical whine of a screaming generator, spewing almost a solid trail of searing white tracers across the cityscape, linking together her moving position and the nullborn titan almost like thread. When the arm explodes, she only pauses briefly (still moving) to turn her side to the blast of wind and heat, holding her ground against it and micro-adjusting her position between rains of shrapnel. Literally hundreds upon hundreds of rounds scythe through the joints of its remaining arm and its excavation wheel motives. She even leaps over the blow that comes her way, thirty feet straight over the top, squeezing the trigger down while she slowly tumbles through the air and lands on the other side. The sheer size of the monster means that the individual rounds, powerful as they may be, don't have much effect, and so she stitches densely packed streaks of them in zigzags back and forth across important components, ventilating the metal so thoroughly it should fall apart from the force of its own movements.

She attempts her best to shoot down incoming missiles, but swiftly bottoms out on the final magazine after an improbable amount of shooting, tossing that one away too with a sound of disgust when the trigger clicks twice. When a missile drops right down and explodes dangerously near her, she vanishes just as the leading edge of the blast strikes her, and then reappears the rest of the way back to the small defense line set up earlier, trailing smoke when she slides to a low stop by the pack she'd dropped earlier.
Lilian Rook     This time, she withdraws two parts of heavy, rectangular machinery, slamming them together and rotating until powerful clamps snap into place and electronic lights flicker on. The leading edge splits in half, giving it a narrow tuning fork look, a faint glow strobing down inner bands. Her hand diving into the portable safe again, she comes away with what are unmistakably shaped like rockets, small and slender enough around their midsection for her to clutch multiple of them between her fingers like arrows readied for a bow. Bracing it over her shoulder, she slots one in, pulls the cover, and then fires at the Kolossos' damaged tower stacks. There isn't actually a plume of smoke --just a tremendous bang and a nearly instant explosion at the target point. *Exactly* like rapid firing a bow, she pulls back the cover, thrusts another one in, fires, repeats, fires again, pumping several supersonic rockets into the enemy.

"Just go down already! All that machinery is just in the way; all those gooey insides have to hurt when hit with superheated high explosives, right? At least, it'd better. Or this is a waste of time."

Spending that ammo, she drops the launcher, turns to Tamamo, and before she can say or do anything, sees her running off with Eggman. "Wait a minute! Be *careful*! Hold on, I'm coming!" she yells, immediately giving chase.
Kotone Yamakawa The Kolossos outmatches the old mobile fortress from the third world war of her world. The massive Kolossoos is now very aware of her, she's done more to hinder its ability to see is a but more hinted however she's now got its direct attention. At least she thinks she does. She knows she should not stay here, so Kotone will end up moving, moving as quickly as she can.

She barely gets away in time as missiles and more small arms fire wipes out the position where she was, the moment she's clear she'll take the first reasonable bit of cover she finds brace the weapon and opens fire going for the face and eyes again.

"Come on go down!"

She also appreciates the damage that Tamamo has inflicted along with Kuma and Yuudachi assault upon one of the horror's knees.
S6     Kolossos continues its thrashing, though S6 keeps an eye on her surroundings with the assistance of her own POD. Her head tilts slightly when she sights the disarticulated excavator arm, now floating with rings of golden runes around it. A sign she recognizes instantly as the actions of the VRCS. She quickly scans for I4's position, sighting and marking his position to keep an eye on him.

Arianrhod's lance punches through the structural exterior of Kolossos. A moment later, the explosion blows out the back of the structure, mangling a catwalk stairway and explosing what appears at a glance to be the floors and walls of normal interior rooms--just filled with malevolent black sludge. Kolossos staggers forward from this blast. It seems heedless of Eggman boring into its side, more attention given to the heavy artillery hammering the exterior shell.

As it hunches forward, the left leg buckles under heavy damage. The Kolossos shifts, steadying itself, but makes no further effort to move with such a heavily compromised leg. Another rail slug punches through the slimey mass that was its face, though there are no more visible eyes, Kotone's railgun slug disappears into the body of the thing.

When the roof panels flip open this time, the right array discharges only fire in an explosion that nearly knocks S6 off the side. She balances herself against a railing, quickly tracking the payload which did manage to launch. Discerning their target, she reaches out, snatching the entire salvo with the golden runes of her VRCS, then yanking downward. The projectiles respond, wrenched down in an arc to meet Kolossos' body.

When Kolossos raises its remaining excavator arm, the stresses prove too much under the damage caused by Lilian's weaponry. Perforated material buckles, breaks, and then shears away in a spray of black sludge, though Kolossos still raises and swings its stub of an arm as if it hasn't realized it lost that weapon.
Ishirou The rings of the VRCS form, and with a grin on his face he gets the confirmation he was waiting for.

<Access Granted,> says the feminine voice of I4's pod, <VRCS control established.  Routing command protocols to your controls.> And with that, the arm of the beast is transferred to I4.

Turning towards the creature, he is thankful that it has not realized what has occurred.  With others firing on it and distracting it, he now has a chance to bring it a devastating blow and give others a chance to tear into the Nullborn under the armor.

The excavator revs up, as the arm slowly raises up, and then comes down thanks to gravity, and the VRCS working in unison.  The chemical fires spread out, as it attempts to drag itself through the top of the Kolossis, and down the front of it, attempting to open it up like a can opener!

"Ok, this has got to be the most fun I ever had in a combat situation."
Eggman      Eggman's drilling machine continues inward. The whole building is falling apart and he could not care less - armed with his Egg Mobile and his own insane fearlessness, Eggman plunges deeper into the building, heedless of the shaking and the quaking and the rocking. Pieces of the building fall onto the Egg Mobile, bouncing off. A big light explodes in front of him. And he just does not care.

But when Tamamo comes up behind him, Eggman's face twists into a mask of rage, though it's not visible, considering his back is to literally everyone.

The Egg Mobile doesn't turn around. Rather, the arms start feeding falling chunks of the building back into itself. Pieces are gobbled up and stuffed into the underside as the Egg Mobile continues its route to the Mana Turbine. What is it doing?

The answer comes when the back of it opens and a second pair of arms appears. Rapidly, the Egg Mobile begins constructing thick walls in between itself and Tamamo. It's not just digging a path - it's trapping Eggman inside. Or, well, preventing Tammao from following it.

After a few of those walls he starts leaving some nasty spiked surprises to dissuade further following, or at least slow her (and Lilian, probably) down enough that he can accomplish his goal and get out.

Action Stages aren't fun to deal with when you're not behind a controller.
Lily     Lily's still impressed at her own shot and how it blew the arm off the huge Kolossos, meanwhile, Rei's just commanding robot after robot, watching them self assemble more of the sacrificial tools, "Hmm, Lily would do good to learn how to make those..." she muses to herself, nodding, "Okay! Everyone's wrecking this, maybe it'll drop some good loot to sell!"

"Mmhmm! I bet so, or at least something good. That warlord girl said something about honing skills, but I'm not sure this is doing it. It's okay though..." Lily braces herself against the wall, aiming her explosive round loaded sniper at the Kolossos, looking through the scope to watch the arm beat itself up. "I... really need to figure out how they do that, that looks amazing!"

"Lily, see if you can hit this part. I'm lighting it up with some robots." Rei sends out some more of those sacrifical robots around the things waist, "See if you can make a chain reaction again like you did with the arm, let's seperate it further!"

Lily moves to brace herself against the wall, aiming. "Roger!" and with another aimed shot, this time while not 'flying', she lets the shot ring out and towards that explosive 'belt'.
Tamamo     Tamamo becomes increasingly certain that someone /is/ about to get hurt in here, even if the volume of fire coming from the outside is reduced. That it might be her isn't a new revelation, but the vector of attack was outside her expectations. For a few moments, she's actually confused, but then Dr. Eggman makes some remarks consistent with previously established insanity. And she'd only been concerned for his health.

Searing heat blasts through makeshift barricades, exploding downward, taking out flimsier traps along the way. Tamamo drops through using hands and feet to launch herself from point to point, narrowly avoiding spikes and wreckage, with more than just her agility on her side. It's almost as if (it's exactly as if) she's correcting for obstacles before she sees them.

She'd wanted to find the Mana Turbine from the start, so they'd always had that goal in common, if nothing else. Though he does have that head start.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa scores a heck of a hit, she doesn't get the eyes no she gets a good number of the missile pods and S6 handles the rest of them. Lilian has blown off the remaining arms. Kuma and Yuudachi have kneecapped the Kolossos like someone who didn't pay back the debt they owned the Don. Arianrhod has also done some more serious damage to the thing. She sees I4 go to try and open the thing like a beer can. She will keep shooting now aiming for any sort visible mass of the Nullborn that wore the building like it was a suit. She does not want to get out of its armour and keep going to fight them.

She also gets some idea from where Eggman and Tamamo have gone, there seems to be something going on between them. She can't worry about that for the moment even as Lilly keeps doing more shots on the Nullborn along with Rei. Just how much firepower will this thing take to drop?
Arianrhod     Arianrhod watches as her skill blows out a good part of the Kolossos, revealing an interior. She had been wondering if the building still had such a thing after its transformation. Perhaps the corridors were acting like conduits for its 'blood'. The creature itself is somewhat interesting.

But not enough to bother with keeping it intact. Arianrhod holds her hand out to her side, once again a flash of light resulting in her lance appearing in her grip. She then runs across the ground, quickly closing the distance to the more damaged leg.

Arianrhod leaps, trying to drive her lance through the existing damage in the leg into its interior. If she can drive it in far enough, she plants her armoured boots against the side of the leg and then starts to pull down on the lance. She's trying to use the large weapon like a lever to help seperate the leg from the rest of the Kolossos.
