Kotone Yamakawa It's the 2030s but it is Japan, another world another timeline, Japan seem to be doing well it's high tech, the city of Niihama is a major trade hub and not just for its earth but also for the multiverse as well.

Bright lights, holo adds and it never sleeps much like Tokyo does, cars are slicker but oddly silent, there's no rumble of combustion engines the air's a bit nicer than one would expect in a city that big.

It seems it's just Japan in the future but small things would add up like newspapers being in some kind of barcode in part, odd like pixilated scan code all over the place and her and there one might spot robots, all and all it's a busy city of the future but something's a bit odd, such as the people some of them have obvious mechanical parts and some seem a bit too perfect in their appearance too.

If Goro has a smartphone he'd get some AR options for maps and the like and could at least search for information. Though he could find a holographic map of some sort one-off thing though? This city is a bit more mixed in terms of its population if he looks about people from mainland Aisa are here and there and even some people of western decent, a few are even running businesses such as food trucks and the like.
Majima Goro The car Majima rolls up in is, at least, decent. Late 90s model. It looks incredibly out of place here.
"Boss, this is definitely Japan...I think..." A somewhat reserved, shy Japanese man with sad eyes is driving the car. He's just got a blue jacket and brown pants on. Honestly, he looks fairly indistinct.

The man in the back of the car smoking a cigarette is not. "Eh? What kinda crap is that, Nishida? Either it is or it isn't Japan. Ya gotta learn to make up your mind." The half-blind yakuza leans out the window, flicking the remains of that cigarette onto the street. "...But yeah. This is definitely Japan. Pull the car over."
A moment later, he steps out, steel-tipped shoes clacking on the sidewalk. He pulls out his cell phone, idly, to see if they have cell signal. Sadly, his phone is...less than great. It may be from 2004, but it's Japan 2004. Barely handles emails. He puts it away, back into the pocket of his black leather pants. "....so, what, Nishida, ya tryin' to find change for parkin' meters or something? Ya think they're even gonna take yen?"

He certainly stands out like a sore thumb. After all, this is a world of cybernetic enhancements, and Majima's...missing an eye, apparently.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has family in Japan, and often will try to visit when she has time, this is one of those times she's got the weekend off and has just arrived to go catch up she's got a phone out and it talking on it.

"Yes Miho, I'm in Japan now I'll be at Grandmas by tomorrow morning. I just plan to do some shopping! I'll see you then."

She hangs up and is just on her way one a few things catch her attention. One that's a nice old model car that's pulling up and wit does she hear a combustion engine.

She then takes note of the man who has an eyepatch? That isn't normal she pause adjusting her sleeveless jacket a bit before she starts heading to Majima.

"Evening you seem like your a bit lost there sir need help with anything?"

She's speaking in Japanese it's very faintly accented? Strange the blue-haired woman does look Japanese though and is a bit on the taller side in that regard. She doesn't seem hostile just curious and she's clearly looking him over.

"Didn't think I'd see a classic car tonight either."
Majima Goro There's a tap of metal on concrete, as Majima turns around. His brows raise. His arms go out. "Eh? Some kinda blue-haired angel, is it?" His laugh is..almost shrieky, in many ways, as he leans back. "...Ahh. I think I'm fine. If this is what the girls are like in this town, I think I've found heaven!" He straightens up again.

"Listen...where's a good cabaret club, eh? I wanna see what they look like in a town like this." He rubs his gloves together thoughtfully.
Meanwhile, Nishida's still in the car. He's looking at the passing people, his brow knitting. Something, he decides, is messed up about this Japan, besides all the glowy light bullcrap. People look...wrong.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa seems flatted she grins a bit back at Goro she's heard that voice somewhere before she knows she has but where? It might take her a moment to place it. She seems curious though, she thinks for a moment and looks to him.

"Give me a moment to run a search. You seem to be enjoying yourself though whats your name?"

She doesn't think anything is amiss and she's checking for clubs right now too.

"I'm Kotone Yamakawa if your wondering."
Majima Goro The grin Majima gives is almost a little manic, as he slowly walks towards Kotone. "Ehhh. Majima Goro. Do you have a card?" He asks. He's not quite leering. It's close, though.
Meanwhile, he gives the sidewalk another street, with its holograms. "...This city's some crazy crap, though. I, ah, ain't from 'round here. Different Japan. Apparently we got a ton of those."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa gets the nearly leering or a moment. "I figured as much and yes there are a lot of different Japans out there. I'm afraid I don't have a card I'm with the Paladins if your wondering." She says with a bit of a grin on her face.

"Majima Goro? I knew I'd heard your voice before on the board band as for the club?"

Given Kotone travels the multiverse a lot she actually carries two rare things for her world a pen and a note pad, she'll pull it out of a pocket in her jacket and writes out the names of a few clubs and where they are.

"It's a lot to take in, most earth don't develop cybernetics and computers as we have so soon."
Majima Goro To be honest, the whole 'Paladins' and 'Concord' thing still wasn't entirely making sense to him. As Kotone talks, he stretches out, hands behind his head. "Eh? Oh, yeah. I met, ah, Doctor Strange or whatever the other night. Decent guy, yeah?" He looks to Kotone's lapel for a minute.
He probably shouldn't mention his affiliations, he figures. It can't make anything better to do it, and it's not like he's itchin' for a fight with the blue hair girl. "...Eh, well, I dunno, there's some good phones comin' out where I'm from, who knows what they'll have in a decade or so," He cocks his head back a bit, taking a step or two away.
"Yeah, I've been talkin' on that radio thing a bit. Got some guys in my company all hyped because they 'knew CB was the future, and this proves it', or somethin'. Reminds me of that guy back in the eighties with a bag phone," He says, looking around.

"...So 'cybernetics', huh? You makin' robot people or somethin? People look..kinda weird 'round here, but I can't quite place it." He taps his head once or twice.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Given I doubt your world's stuck in world war I'd be interested to see some tech just got sidelined during the war." She notes a little bit tilting her head watching him an then she pauses for a moment. "Yes, about three-quarters of the population of Japan have what you might call brain jacks and a good number are partially or entirely replaced. It's just how things go through personally for me it was medical reasons. It's likely that things like the plugs in the back of the neck and such are just so normal here people don't think about it much anymore."

She'll make sure he gets the paper with the club info, it's even in Japanese too, she's at least being polite.
Majima Goro There's a moment as Majima instinctively rubs the back of his neck, as if just to see if it's suddenly grown a jack. "That's..uh. That's kinda weird, but sure." He looks back at his car.

Nishida is frantically emailing..someone. But that's fine. Nishida is one of his boys, but he doesn't need the interruption right now. He takes the piece of paper, tucking it away inside his jacket pocket. He's not so pathetic as to immediately look at it.

"...Eh, yeah, we don't got anything that's a bigger deal than some yakuza rattlin' sabers at each other," He explains. If she looks---some chest tattoo is in fact visible on his bare chest, beneath the jacket. "But yeah, doesn't surprise me that Japan pulled that crap off before anyone else."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa seems amuse as Goro checks this neck she can guess why and she pauses to pull a cable out of the back of his before letting it zip back in.

"All things considered that's a lot better than how things were so far as I know, she takes note of it eyes narrowing for a second but she makes no comment on it. Kotone seems very amused.

"Japan, Russia, old Communist China and America all pushed it hard in the war but you are right. A lot of the top shelf stuff comes from Japanese companies. So just trying to get a better layout of the multiverse by seeing how Japan varies I'd take it?"
Majima Goro Majima Goro shrugs, before pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He pops one into his mouth, lighting it before looking around again.
"Yeah. That's basically the idea. There's too much stuff for me to figure out all o' that crap, but if I can figure out what Japan can be, I can work it out from there." He takes a drag of the cigarette, finding a wall to lean on. ...Hm. Can't imagine there's laws against smoking outside or anything. If there is, well, whatever.

"I mean, wandered out the first time into a bunch of riotin' elves and crap. That's a bit much."
Kotone Yamakawa Thankfully smoking laws are still mostly the same in this world. "Better than me I took off exploring randomly and fell to a bloody zombie horror movie within the first few weeks. If I didn't get picked up by the Starbounders I likely would have ended up in an unmarked gave somewhere. Never could figure out why they took me in, given their line of work for the most part. Still thankful about it, and rioting elves? That must have been an experience."
Majima Goro Majima Goro taps some of the ashes off of the side of his cigarette. "..you'd think, right? But when you get down to it, it's the same politics crap. They wanted medicine, some populist demagogue guy convinced 'em to go riot as part of his overall scheme, and a bunch of hand-wringers started worryin' bout the morality of it all instead of stopping him."
He pauses a moment.
"So I said screw it, and went to tango with some zombie vampire kid who tried to tell me off. Sure, he pasted me to the wall, but that ain't the point," He concludes. His eye closes for a moment

"But some zombie shit, yeah, that's pretty nuts," He agrees. "Dunno what I'd do exactly in a zombie apocalypse. Imagine I'd get bit real fast or some stupid crap like that."

A dramatic beat, though he knows not why.

"Starbounders, eh. That sounds familiar for some reason. Mighta heard a couple o' them talkin'. So is that name legit? They space aliens or some crap?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "It always comes down to political games the upper crust is lost in it's own little world until it crashes down around their heads. Then it start all over again and it was nuts. It was nuts I was lucky I was not alone and I picked up fire arms after that. Pretty much them."

"It gets pretty crazy really, you know? Magic monsters, myths and gods walk in and it gets all on its head."
Majima Goro Majima drops the remainder of his cigarette on the ground, rubbing his boot tip on it. "Yeah. I expect at some point this Ganondorf idiot's gonna make life hell for the wrong person. Kinda hope I get to see. Look, I've made ol' Nishida wait in the car long enough. I'mma drag him out to some of these clubs you mentioned, alright?" He steps back towards the car.

He stops, but doesn't turn back around. "...hopefully next time I see you it's still friendly."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "True your buddy has been left waiting for a while hasn't he, and Ganondorf? I'll keep a note of that thanks, well you boys should go have fun at the clubs ya? Just keep out of trouble and remember people in this world can have weapons concealed in their limbs or bodies."

Honestly friendly advice after all Majima explores the multiverse and something like that is good to know.

"Likewise I got some shopping to do before I go visit family tomorrow! See you around."
