Starlight Bandits     eep Sea Drilling Platform 1954 is an ancient hunk of iron that rises from the sea bed in stark defiance of God and safety practices. Orange struts are held together with corroding rivets, all piling up to form the main platform. Cranes jut out from all sides, while the derrick stands tall from the top. Though ancient, it has a hell of a success record in making even the riskiest offshore drilling opportunity lucrative. The less said about it's environmental impact, the better.

But it seems that this may be 1954's last days.

One of the supporting struts has completely come apart, some jarring blow having sent its rivets flying somewhere, the beams now dangling unsupported. The whole thing is listing slightly, with each ominous groan a portend of the fact that the remaining three can't hold forever. Lifeboats (of which there are too few) bob in the water, packed with the workers who have evacuated. Those still on the platform either shakily make their way down to the water's surface, or just leap from the tipping structure and hope for the best.

A nearby yacht that was out on the water for a party has sailed over to assist in the reclamation of people from the chilly sea also. Even so, it will not be enough to save the entire crew. And worst still, whatever did this to the platform is below the waves. Seismic activity on the sea floor is rising, background radiation is spiking, all the birds among the trees on the nearby shore are flying away...
Haguro Floating by the yacht coming to assist in the rescue is another semi-ancient hunk of iron in the form of a old World War II-era warship. Despite the lack of a visible crew on board, the ship drifts closer to the oil platform while ladders dip into the icy water for the workers that decided jumping into the water was better than waiting to fall into it.

From somewhere vaguely inside of the abandoned ship, a woman's voice comes out. "Don't worry, everybody. I'm not haunted! I'm just... It'll take too long to explain. Just keep calm and climb aboard!" Haguro tries to speak with a commanding tone, but she still sounds anxious as ever. Her turrets remain mostly still, but they're pointed upwards at those cranes, ready to blast them out of the sky should they wind up falling dramaticaly at someone below.
Eurys Standing at the front of the yacht, a young woman with dark hair, a jacket-dress, bright eyes, and a pale complexion looks over the sea. She had come to this yacht for the free food, the experience, and to watch the waves, despite the fact she knows no one here and wasn't even invited.

That's okay. The mundane can't see her anyways. Sneaking food is easy when everyone's drunk. As soon as she heard about the drilling platform, though, Eurys came to the front of the boat, and waited. Waited to get into range of the rig...

And then jump. The yacht creaks slightly from her strength as there's a visible movement in the air, Eurys leaping off the yacht and towards the platform. She's aiming for something specific - as she grabs a falling worker, unaware he chose to jump himself, and holds him tight before landing on the platform in a roll. He'll be fine, but he may not be happy about getting stopped by an invisible force.

That soon reveals itself to be a teenaged girl. "Never fear! Princess of Hope, straight out of Asphodel, Eurys is here!"

And then Haguro arrives. "You don't need to die yet, sir! There's a boat right there!" She points wildly at Haguro. The fact that the ship might be haunted doesn't bug her one bit. Also, Eurys herself might be creepy, since she started floating off the ground as soon as she stood up.
Doctor Strange      While Haguro and Eurys offer assistance to the workers who have already jumped, help is fast on the way for those still on the fence. A hole in reality opens; a burning ring of sparks suspended in the air. Peering through the other side of the hole is the Sorcerer Supreme. He appears to be standing in a living room.

Strange looks out over the edge of his spatial manipulation, down to the icy drink below. There's a boat right down there... a 'Princess of Hope' on the--oh, he knows her from the radio, right. Good to put a name to a face. "Yo," says Strange to those workers still assembled on the rig. And to Eurys. That cape, that cloak, that rose-gold amulet--and the hole in reality, of course. He's far from 'mundane' despite his choice of 'yo' over 'greetings' or 'salutations.'

Strange steps out of the hole. In defiance of gravity, he remains suspended in the air. The hole closes behind him after he flicks a wrist. He furrows his brow and peers at the water. There is a quick jab of his fist. It feels as if something, somewhere, has broken or perhaps been altered.

Moments later a thick, sturdy pillar of stone rises up from the ocean, steadying old '54. It takes the place of the broken strut--for now. "'Kay, so, that won't last forever," Strange calls to the workers. "Got some stairs coming up. You're... gonna wanna take those." Sure enough, slabs of that same stone rise in metered succession, creating a dramatic, but sturdy way down to Haguro for those unwilling to jump into the sea.
Starlight Bandits     "Any port in a storm" and all that. Those workers in the sea begin swimming their way over to the ancient warboat that now floats among them. Lifeboats also begin rowing over so that they may discharge their excess passengers. Euryas snatches a falling worker from the air, causing him to shout in surprise! He's babbling in Portuguese, saying "Colosso!" over and over. And then, when he sees what Euryas is doing, floating there and being creepy, he adds "Phantasma!" to that panicked shouting, leaping from the platform once more. This time, from a lower elevation, so his impact with the sea is lesser.

Strange arrives in a flurry of sparks, spooking many of those afraid to take the plunge. Shouts of "Fire!" cry out, until a man emerges. Wiht a gesture, stone erupts from the sea floor to prop up the platform, correcting the listing slightly. Stone steps spring up, and one of the workers tests it with his foot before sighing in relief in starting down them, followed by others.

All in all, a quick, successful operation. With Haguro and the yacht, there's enough ship space to get everyone back to shore, and with the stone pillar, they have time to get clear before collapse. It's great when a plan comes together.

And then something erupts from the sea.

It's massive, coming just short of the platform even as it stands on the sea floor. It's slightly hunched, with short arms somewhat evocative of tyrannosaurus rex that end in massive claws. It's covered in mottled green, almost black scales, and a row of jagged dorsal plates run up its spine. Yellow eyes shine with a savage intelligence, and it's short muzzle is filled with jagged, sharp teeth.

Simply by emerging, it has disrupted the sea hard enough to send waves slamming against the boats. At least one lift raft tips in the maelstrom as this massive beast moves to face the drilling platform. And then, it opens it's mouth and lets out a roar.

                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6z0T3VwHzk8

It begins walking towards the platform, and the boats, each movement kicking up more waves, eyes burning with intent to destroy.
Haguro A mysterious princess and wizard duo arrives! Just in time, too, since Haguro wasn't sure just how well she'd be able to get everyone on board by herself. She keeps herself steady as those workers come aboard, waiting until they're all safely on board before moving with the yacht to get these civilians to safety.

Everything is now good forever! And then it's not. The massive beast that bursts forth from the sea has the ship... Well, the ship doesn't have a face right now. If it had a face, it'd be bewildred by the giant, and it's only by dropping anchor on one side that Haguro doesn't tip right over when those waves blast her and the yacht alike. "H.. Hold on, everyone!" She warns while waiting until the waves subside before lowering a ramp to the shoreline.

"This'll have to do... Does anyone know what that is?!" Haguro's turrets turn to aim at the monster, each one armed with BIG EXPLOSIVES. She isn't firing yet, though, almost as if she's waiting to see what the giant is going to do first.
Eurys Rude! That guy just ditched Eurys to jump into the sea. She hmphs...and then immediately walks over to the ledge to make sure he's safe. As soon as she confirms he is, she makes a 'phew' sound, as she looks up to the others clearing the people off the platform. "Hooray, everyone's safe! Now we need to..."

The boats shake. The roar echoes through Eurys' ears, causing her to cover them with her hands, as she makes visual contact with the giant monster.

She frowns, sharply. And then that frown starts to change as she thinks about it. Into a soft smile. That's super cool! But wait. It's a giant monster. And it's coming right at them. Why? Why is it attacking?

And then Eurys visualizes something, and realize the monster looks familiar, but she can't place why. Is this a portion of a past-life memory or something?

Haguro prepares to attack it. Eurys decides what to do...and goes to join in, taking the first strike but tries to speak while she does so. Another leap through the air, off the platform, as she launches across the water straight for Gojira's face, fist out-stretched.

It begins to glow, prismatic energy surrounding her hand. With superhuman force and Pure Hope coalesced around her hand as an explosive energy force, she's aiming to try and injure it, shouting while she does so.

"Stop approaching! We can talk this out, mano-a-monstero! Just, uh, Mr..." Strange says names. One clicks into Eurys' brain immediately. "Gojira, please just calm down, okay?!"

It probably doesn't help that her fist then explodes outwards if it impacts. And also that Eurys hasn't thought of 'what if I start falling'.
Doctor Strange      Everyone's safe. Good. Next steps... maybe find a way to dismantle this thing before it collapses? Kind of like a controlled demolition or something. Strange is pulled from his pondering by an eminently familiar roar. He slowly turns in the air and stares, with a mixture of excitement and dismay on his face. This is certainly enough to wipe off his usual deadpan frown.      "I know what it is," says the American sorcerer. "I just don't believe it." He pushes a breath between his lips and runs a hand through his hair. Okay, what to do? They're fresh out of giant compassionate moths. "It's the King of Monsters. Also known as Gojira... also known as Godzilla."

Well... he's usually got an eco-thing going on. Oil rigs aren't known for their environmental friendliness, either... Does he speak not-kaiju? "Mighty Gojira!" Strange's voice is magically amplified to get the big lizard's attention. Eurys goes and socks him one to try and stop him. "Ah... crap." That's amplified too.

Well, he's got maybe a minute before Gojira stomps his way over to the rig. Strange weaves an illusion. A screen of light, facing towards the King of Monsters. He makes it appear, and sound, as if the rig has buckled under its own weight, taking the stone pillars with it. He discreetly hurls an orb of volatile energy into the water to try and create convincing 'waves.'

"Hey, look at that. It's gone! History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man." Pause. "Well, you can go home now. Goodbye!"
Starlight Bandits     Haguro swivels her cannons to point at Godzilla, who is making her passengers panic. Who wouldn't freak out at a nightmarishly huge monster making its way towards you? "Run!" "Don't shoot that thing, let's get going!" cry the drillers. Godzilla notices the threat Haguro is posing, and responds. He hunches down, lowering his centre of gravity, and his dorsal plates start strobing an electrical blue light. A low growl builds in his throat as he comes to a stop. It's a cautionary signal, like brightly coloured venomous creatures in the wild. It's as if he's saying, "Do you want this fight? Because I will give you this fight."

Euryas very much wants this fight apparently, because she just leaps at the kaiju and socks him one right in the jaw. His head rocks to the side as a surprised, almost offended yowl comes from his mouth. He seems stunned that something so small was able to rock him so. But, his hand comes up and catches Eurys as she falls. Could it be that he's much more gentle than he appears?

    No.

His hand curls into a crushing fist, squeezing down on the dead girl before his arm raises with slow, deliberate intent before coming down, spiking her into the harsh sea.

By this time, Strange has managed to weave the illusion of the platform collasping. He pleads with the King of Monsters, declaring the offending structure destroyed, and asking if that has placated his wrath. And perhaps it might have. But he has been awoken by humans, is being threatened by guns, and menaced by a small girl. Were he to simply leave now, his status as the ultimate apex predator would be tarnished.

    This will not stand.

Godzilla roars again. The last one was a declaration, a warning to all that he is awoken. This one is a threat. He is going on the attack now. He breaks out into a lumbering run, each step shaking the seabed before sliding to a stop and pivoting. His tail (for yes, he had one hidden beneath the water) comes up under Haguro, before pivoting through the air to try and swat Strange out of it!
Haguro Gojira. What a strange name, but something named the King of Monsters isn't something Haguro wants to get close to without good reason. Doctor Strange seems to have a good idea going with that illusion, and the fact that Godzilla hasn't fired on her yet is a good sign! Perhaps a standoff wouldn't be so bad!

And then Eurys decks Godzilla in the face. There's a strained noise coming from Haguro's ghost voice, and there's not a lot of options open to her as Godzilla turns his ire towards the Elites. "G... Get off, everyone! Quickly!" Haguro warns as she twists around to keep her (somewhat less) occupied side turned to face Godzilla's tail, creaking loudly as that lifts the ship into the air and lands with the deck tilted towards the shore with a giant wave thrown onto the sand in her wake!

At least the workers can get onto on dry land easily now. Haguro waits as long as she can to give them a chance to disembark before pulling herself back into the sea with that extended anchor, moving perpendicular to Godzilla as those guns take aim again. "If that's how it's going to be... Alright, then! I accept your challenge!"

Time to add ship-cannons to the things targetting Godzilla. Explosive shells go flying high, aimed in a wide arc towards the beast to pummel it from above!
Eurys Eurys is caught by Godzilla. She locks eyes with him. Is he sparing her? Is he listening to her words?

She's smushed in a hand, though Godzilla will feel her strength pushing against him to keep from him crushing her into dust, though when he releases his hand, she's fine. Well, in a sense - that hurt, A Lot, and she's being spiked into the water.

Screaming the whole way down, Eurys closes her eyes, and raises her glowing hand again. "Hope coursing through me, let me...fly!"

She doesn't know if it will work. But as she shouts out, a pair of pink transluscent wings manifest out of her back, stopping her from pancaking. She flies above the water, floating high in the air, and takes a breather.

"You're so angry! I need to know why, so I can help you...you're clearly intelligent...something as majestic as you couldn't be a mere animal!" But he'll never respond. So she does the next best thing she knows how.

Eurys' eyes glow, as she flies closer into combat range of Godzilla, and tries to read his mind, to see What Gives Him Hope. Positive memories related to this, if it succeeds, are also dredged up, as Eurys concentrates on them and tries to get a picture of what inspires and bolsters Godzilla's hope.

And also, she flies at him like a bullet and tries to swat into his arm with another, lighter punch. Just for revenge. That hurt!
Doctor Strange      Okay, no. That's not going to be enough. Strange begins weaving a spell, his arms working rapidly to pull energy from the world and weave it into a brightly glowing mandala. Surely, he'll have the time to do that uninterrupted. He hasn't so much as threatened Godzilla, so--

The smack sends him flying backwards, crashing through his own illusion. It shatters into brightly glowing motes to reveal that Strange lied his ass off. To add injury to insult, Strange himself collides audibly with a peeling metal ladder. The impact knocks the wind out of him, and it takes time for him to get back on his feet.

When he does, the smarmy New York sarcasm is vanished, and he's in full Sorcerer Supreme mode. Where before his voice was merely amplified, now it booms with mystic authority. "King of Monsters! I gave you a chance to leave without incident. It was no mere man you struck, but the Master of the Mystic Arts. If you won't return to your slumber willingly..." He weaves a different spell now, flying in rapid, erratic patterns as he creates another mandala. The sea around the King of Monsters begins to churn and swirl. Waterspouts rise from the sea like wavering serpents. Strange thrusts his palm through the center of his creation, and the waterspouts freeze and thicken. "The Icy Tendrils of Ikthalon will force the issue."

They become as eight limbs of the octopus, even bearing suckers--but rather than grapple, they bludgeon, whipping and striking as razor-sharp needles emerge from those very suckers.
Starlight Bandits     There's a lot of screaming as Godzilla runs towards Haguro, and indeed several people leap from her deck, braving the churning waters rather than face the impact. The erupting tail sends a massive surge of water all about, making those in the water tumble as Haguro is sent flying to shore. Those that held on immediately disembark, quite a few with broken bones, but at least they're out of the way.

Cannons roar as Godzilla is bombarded with artillery fire. The shells explode against his form and against the sea about him, sending up blinding plumes of smoke and water. The explosions rip into his scaled flesh, but the background radiation surges wildly as the damage begins to heal itself. He turns towards the ship and bares his teeth before Eurys flies into view.

She reads the ancient, primal mind of the King of Monsters. His thought process is not quite human, but more elevated than a dumb animal. The best idea she can get is a vision of Godzilla, standing atop a mountain and roaring in triumph. Around the mountain is all life on Earth, bowing their head in deference to the King. Godzilla's hope lies solely in being the King, the balancing factor, the thing that brings all life into line.

His own eyes glow too, a vivid electrical blue as Eurys dives in to punch his arm. He jukes low, moving way faster than his bulk and physics should allow to get under her, before erupting up to try and catch her in his jaws!

But now Strange is entering the brawl proper. He offers Godzilla a chance to retreat, but he merely tries harder to bite down on Eurys as his reply. And thus, tendrils come up from the sea about him and begin striking. He releases Eurys from his mouth as he gets slapped in the face, and roars in defiance. He begins grappling with the tendrils, biting into one, grabbing another and ripping it in half, even as wounds open from the needles and suckers.

And then, he notices that the platform is still standing. He was nearly made a fool off.

Another roar, this one louder still, and full of fury. He rips free from the tentacles, and charges at the platform, shoulder-checking it as hard as he can. This sends a lot of debris flying, at both Strange and Haguro! Right now though, he's focussed on attacking the thing that woke him though.
Haguro Broken bones can heal. Shorn plates can be replaced. As long as nobody outright dies, Haguro's more than willing to keep herself in-between Godzilla and those workers. Her spirit is sturdier than her make, though, as the debris from the platform leaves potholes all around the Cruiser's deck, even knocking a few guns off their emplacements entirely.

Rather than angling away from Godzilla, however, Haguro keeps drawing ever closer even as she keeps circling around the King of Monsters to try getting him to turn away from the coast.

"Gojira! Why distract yourself with the platform? W... We're right here!" Haguro shouts in a shaky-voiced challenge. As she speeds along, yet more cannon fire erupts from the ship's cannons. This time, however, the shots are concentrated on Godzilla's tail to try and prevent him from relying too much on that powerful range extender!
Eurys Eurys reads Godzilla's mind. What she gets is bad, real bad. He's not someone she can easily befriend - he wants all others beneath him, and is basically just a big beast. The ghost girl grimaces. And then, her strike misses.

She tries to tell the others what she read. She gets crunched up, mashed between teeth. A normal person would be dead. But she's hardy.

Extraordinarily hardy.

As she's spat out, her wounds, torn up bits and clothes, start regenerating themselves rapidly. Not fast enough to offset more damage, but fast enough that she won't die. She falls into the sea, sinking for several moments until suddenly she bursts ouf ot the water, still flying.

"Alright!" She shouts, her radio clearly broken. Eurys looks determined. "If this is what you want, I'll have to fight you! Take this. Determination Fist!"

It's another hope-filled punch. That's it. Nothing special, except it's being launched into Godzilla's chest. At superhuman speeds.

With the strength of a truck collision behind it.
Doctor Strange      It actually doesn't take a lot to break the tentacles--it seems like they're primarily offensive. They can dish out punishment, but can't take it very well. When Godzilla breaks free, they shatter and fall back into the sea like giant chunks of hail. After a moment of observing this, Strange zips off again, making an erratic, serpentine loop around the rig. He doesn't want to risk some huge oil leak, should it break, so he more or less keeps close.

It's both a good idea and a bad idea. When Godzilla barrels through it, debris and shrapnel go flying in all directions at deadly speed. Strange nimbly bobs, weaves and rolls through the cloud of sharp and blunt objects alike, but even his mobility can't totally shield him. A razor-sharp cluster of rusty, corrugated metal forces him to abruptly change directions, and his neck narrowly avoids being impaled by a jagged chunk of platform. Instead it painfully strikes his ankle with a wince-inducing crack as he hovers upside down.

In this position, he can see that all of that heavy machinery is in danger of falling to the sea. That has oil spill written all over it. Strange takes a moment to shift the earth beneath the waves. It's hard to tell whether it has any effect, since he doesn't really have the time to scry and check, but basically, he's just moved some terrain over where (he thinks) the hole was being drilled.

That just leaves Godzilla. He's strong... but Strange has a plan. He nullifies the magical amplification on his voice, and pelts the King of Monsters on the back with a barrage of burning white fireballs. He keeps moving, trying to stay out of melee range as he does his best impression of the typical fighter plane in this situation. ...maybe it's the wrong giant monster, but still. "C'mon," he mutters under his breath. "Do it..."
Starlight Bandits     Godzilla is struck by cannonfire, wounding the joint where his tail meets his body. He roars in pain, the regeneration slower than before. He turns on the ship, and is about to turn his full fury on it when Eurys slams into his chest, sending him staggering back. Strange follows that up with scorching white fire, pushing him forward and chipping at his dorsal places.

An earsplitting roar rips from his throat as those plates begin to light up, blue light shining through the white flames. The ones at the base of his spine start glowing first, but it's moving up along his spikes. A low hum is filling the air, and his eyes are glowing, even as his breath begins emitting electric blue wisps. He's clearly gearing up for something big.

But he's not ready just yet.

His claw reaches down, grabbing Haguro by the stern and lifting her from the water, before viciously swinging her at Eurys. The magical girl can strike like a truck, but Godzilla is literally striking her with the force of a crashing ship. And then, to make things worse, he hurls the shipgirl at Strange, blotting out the sun for the Sorcerer Supreme with her bulk. The impact will not be kind to him, or her.
Doctor Strange      "Yeah," says Strange, watching the blue electric wisps form. That's exactly what he wants. If he can just keep the big guy busy, he can end this--wait, what's he doing with the ship? Oookay, whoever's at the helm has done some work today, but there's not much you can do about... oh, he's throwing it. Strange halts his barrage and tries to fly under it.

The problem is, Godzilla's got a hell of a throwing arm, and a flying boat covers a /lot/ of surface area. Strange is struck by the underside, carried along mid-flight. The blue expanse of the ocean rushes towards him. At this speed, with this much weight above him, it'd be like hitting concrete. It's a good thing he has ways around that. It wasn't his original plan, but what's a sorcerer if not an improviser? He manages to lift an arm up, and strike the air with an open palm.

Before he and Haguro can crash back into the sea, they both pass through a barrier of what looks like broken glass. They disappear. Within the Mirror Dimension, everything is the same, and yet, for the brief moment that she passes through it, Haguro will note a curious sensation of being cut off from everything. Godzilla and Eurys are still there, still the same distance away, but it's like watching reflections, and not the real thing, somehow. It only lasts for an instant, before the whole world within the Mirror Dimension flips upside down. Suddenly, Strange and Haguro are above Godzilla, as if someone cheated and changed their direction mid-flight. Someone did.

The barrier opens above Godzilla. Strange and Haguro come flying out of it. Still pinned to the flying boat, Strange hastily conjures a portal, dipping through it and closing it behind him. He emerges more or less in the same spot as before, and hurling a bothersome but harmless illusory flashing light towards the King of Monsters. It's the quintessential 'LOOK OVER HERE!' attack.
Haguro That ominous glow coming from Godzilla's body is not something Haguro can so easily ignore. That's why she keeps moving as erratically as a warship can, speeding up and slowing down in preparation for that light to erupt with a big something. In her preparation for that, however, Haguro is caught off guard when Godzilla instead roars, rattling the Cruiser to her core despite the lack of anything resembling ears in this form.

And then he picks her right up. Without the water below her, she can't do much as she's swung around at Eurys and hurled at Strange! "Ah..! S-sorry! If I-urgh. Oh, this is bad. Watch out!" Thankfully, she can't quite feel the impacts against her hull as much as they might. The swinging and tossing is another matter entirely, though, and it's only being in her ship form that Haguro isn't throwing up from spinning every which way.

At least she can probably land safely-ish from this height. All she needs to do is twist just the right way, wait for impact, and... Wait for impact. Where's the impact? Why is there GLASS? Why does it feel like she did that strange non-existence thing she had been imbued with? Where's the ocean?

Listening to Strange on the radio, it slowly dawns on Haguro that his magic is responsible for being turned into a sudden boulder dropping right for Godzilla.

Anyone close enough to Haguro might hear panicked screaming coming from the ship. Her hull is strong and quite good for crashing into things, but that doesn't make her like it any more in the context of being hurled at a giant angry super beast! Now that she's right in the kaiju's face, meanwhile, she really has no reason NOT to unload with all her guns.

She's just going to be freaking out the entire time.
Eurys They all hit Godzilla. But he's planning something big. A...breath cannon? Oh no.

Double oh no, as Haguro slams straight into Eurys, knocking her into the rig as she flies backwards. She cracks 'something' in her ectoplasm, or at least makes a cracking sound, as a strange liquid begins to pool out of the side of her mouth. That really hurt. But other than that, she can keep moving - getting hit by a boat isn't something that stops her from fighting, even if she's going to be bruised and sore after this. "Alright. Your hope is to be the apex predator? Well, let me show you mine! Everyone, be inspired!" She shouts at Haguro and Strange, who might not be able to hear her, as suddenly, Eurys' hair begins to grow, down to her back.

And it turns bright pink.

And her clothes transform, revealing a floofy white dress and a pair of kick-ass high heels.

"Princess of Hope, Eurys! Revelations - mine!"

The entire battlefield, briefly, glows pink - especially the rig. As it does, people start appearing. They're pink-hued, smiling people, generic strangers Eurys once saw in the street. They're waving at and cheering on everyone. They shout out things such as "Go, boat girl!" "You can do it, Doctor Strange!" "Come on, Eurys!"

They're illusory, yes, but they're meant to be inspiring, as Eurys steps back into the magical crowd, and then leaps off the rig again. She moves flying through the air from her leap, the wings keeping her mid-air.

She lifts her right foot, as she soars up over Godzilla's head. And then, infusing it with as much of that prismatic-pink energy as she can, she moves to try and slam her high-heel straight into his right eye.
Starlight Bandits     Godzilla watches on, stance wide and aggressive as he looks on at the carnage he had wrought. Eurys is contributing to the collapse of the rig (thankfully Strange sealed the hole so oil doesn't leak), but the Sorcerer and ship vanish into a realm of glass. He looks about, waiting to see if they're coming back, or escaping.

And oh lord, do they come back.

The ship erupts from the air behind him, slamming into Godzilla's back while firing all cannons. He is rammed, exploded, and shoved into the water all at once! He sinks beneath the waves, kicking up another wave that nearly capsizes the yacht, currently making its way to the shore with the remaining workers. There's a long, pregnant moment where the water is still. Is he down for the count?

    No.

He emerges a bit away from where Haguro landed, screaming raw defiance at the world, even as Eurys summons up phantasmal crowds to cheer she, Strange, and Haguro on. The magical girl flies at the King of Monsters, her heel digging right into his eye, causing him to flinch back and cry out. His usual prey is so large that such precise targetting doesn't happen, but these small creatures are more than able.

    Godzilla has had enough.

While he wasn't able to fully charge it, he's gonna do it. He opens his mouth, revealing a vivid glow burning at the back of his throat. What man had to invent, Godzilla has. Fission occurring within his cells, creating plasma that brews within his gut, just waiting for an outlet. With an almighty sound, Godzilla breathes atomic fire.

It boils the sea where it hits, melting the platform into slag as he scythes it about, aiming to catch his aggressors within it!
Eurys Eurys roars back eagerly as Godzilla screams in defiance. But the monster has had enough, and the girl is new to the Multiverse. She's overestimating her limits.

The atomic breath burns into her, causing her to scream in pain as her wings start to shatter, and as her dress starts to melt back into her previous clothes, unable to sustain the 'transformation'. Instead of melting entirely, though, the burnt ghost, hair returned to its short black shape, goes flying into Haguro. She's crashing.

Hard.

The impact all but knocks Eurys unconscious, and while she'll be fine with a while of rest and trying to mend her bruises, right now, she crawls down into Haguro's below-decks and tries to curl up. Everything hurts.
Haguro Pink things happen. The strange girl turns pink. The battlefield turns pink. Even Haguro's rigging turns pink. Or does it just look like that because of the strange lighting and the crowd of magically-created bystanders? Whatever the case is, Haguro feels her fear melting away as her shots find purchase and Godzilla sinks beneath that impromptu combination attack.

And then she feels her hull melting away. To say that's an issue would be an understatement, and Eurys can certainly hear how much of an issue Haguro finds it to be, what with all the continued freaking out while the heat burns the Cruiser to her core. Ammo and armor turn to slag, the heat from the breath overwhelming the epxlosions that should be occurring.

That's not much of a consolation, but at least it isn't sinking the ship entirely. "Geh.. M-Miss Eurys! Just... Rest up, alright? I'll.." The fear is evident in her tone, but there's few options left here.

".. Doctor Strange. If Gojira doesn't fall back, take Eurys and the workers and go." Even that's easier said than done with Eurys below-deck, but Haguro's not exactly working with all her cylinders firing right now. The turrets on her surface churn as explosives pack into the cannons rapidly, firing them wildly into the air far above Godzilla! More ammo loads, more fires upwards. After the third reloading of ammunition, the turrets suddenly jerk downwards to aim right at the King of Monsters. The third volley rings out, and it's timed just so with the first two volleys to explode all around him at the same time!
Doctor Strange      Strange takes a moment. He looks around at the illusory crowd. It's... not bad work. Very pink, though. There's a moment of silence. Weighty, oppressive silence. Is it over?

Nah, it's not over. It's the grand finale. But this is good--this is exactly what he wanted. The Atomic Breath. "Got it," says Strange to Haguro. But he knows he can Fix This. He can beat Godzilla, he can save Eurys, the workers, fix everything. He feels it in his bones, and it isn't his ego this time, really. He forms two mandalas before his hands, assuming a martial stance in the air. The rings of glyphs around them begin to spin rapidly.

He waits. When the Atomic breath scythes through the air, he doesn't move. No, he extends a hand, then the index finger of said hand. The mandala before it widens, the space between it filling with esoteric symbols long forgotten by all but the most erudite of sorcerers. A smaller ring appears before it, several times in succession, each spinning into place with a soft chime.

The Atomic Breath is channeled into his body. The mandalas before his hand spin radpidly. He follows the arcing projectile, even as the lightning begins to crackle visibly. The mandalas before his hand spin so quickly that their symbols become an orange blur. As he channels more of that plasma into himself, they burn so brightly that they lose their orange hue, turning first white... then electric blue.

Strange siphons the last of the beam. His hair stands on end, held aloft by invisible currents of energy. His eyes close, his face serene, without deadpan sarcasm or even grim determination. He stops mid-flight, assuming the lotus position, closing his eyes. The sorcerer's movements are so quick that they seem serene, yet they nevertheless leave afterimages. Hovering in the sky, he appears for one brief moment to have not two arms, but many, the hand of each making a different mudra.

Seven rings of crackling blue energy surround him from the bottom up, each one hot enough that it seems to set the very air ablaze. His eyes open, burning brightly with that same energy. He presses both palms together. Gently, he turns them outwards. Brilliant blue-white energy moves soundlessly towards Godzilla.
Starlight Bandits     Eurys is down, but Haguro and Strange cling on. Strange does more than that though. His magicks take the power that Godzilla gives out, and absorbs it. The great lizard has a look in his eye like he can scarcely believe it. In that opening, he is shelled once again by Haguro.

He staggers from the explosions, but looks on at Strange with a fierce gaze. The King of Monsters is smart enough to know what's coming, but he looks at it dead on. With injured steps, he lumbers towards Strange, fighting until the last. He tries to close the distance, to swat Strange out of the air as the seven rings assemble. He's almost there, but it's too late.

Godzilla is scorched by his own breath. The nuclear fire pushes him back, even as he presses on. His drive to prove his own dominance over all life pushes him to impale himself on his own redirected attack. But there's only so far that sheer guts will get you.

Godzilla is flung back into the sea, sinking beneath it once more. His bulk can be seen beneath the water, his dorsal plates breeching the surface as Gojira swims away. He's not dead, but he needs to lick his wounds before arising again.

Cheers fill the air, but not from Eurys' phantom crowd. Actual cheers from the onlookers on the yacht and shore, clapping for the trio that overcame the King of Monsters.
Haguro Haguro can scarcely believe it. What was supposed to be a simple rescue mission became a fight against a giant monster, and she's somehow managed to pull out of it without dying! Part of her feels like she should be dead, sure, and the pain is excruciating, but that'd be irresponsible to do with a passenger on board.

Drifting to shore, the Cruiser remains tilted slightly even as it drops a stairway for Eurys to (eventually) descend from. Nobody else would come off the ship, though, as if the ship truly was...

A GHOST SHIP. Well, except for the nervous and clearly-forcing-herself-to-sound-strong voice coming out of it. "Is everyone alright? The next time you work on something like this, please.. PLEASE."

"Bring lifeboats and leave early."
Doctor Strange      Strange watches Godzilla swim away. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone, trying to set up a selfie. He manages to get the camera open before his trembling hands drop the phone. It ends up taking a picture of the clear blue sky and the exact microexpression of 'SHIET' on his face, slightly blurry for the movement. Godzilla is not in frame. By the time he portals the phone back to the safety of his trembling grasp, the King of Monsters is too far away to be anything but a blurry, crackpot cryptid-sighting photo.
