Scene #6635: MECC: August Kohler vs Solty Revant

August Kohler	It's time for another MECC battle! This one is on a flat plain, with a few rocky outcroppings for cover. Stepping into the arena as the crowd roars for both competitors, August Kohler is dressed in a thick jacket and gloves, a comapct mirror in hand as he steps forward, looks to his competitor, and nods. He sounds a bit...quiet. "Good luck." And then, as the bell rings, he opens the mirror, looks into it, and calls out. "Dietrich!" A giant black knight in power armor manifests in a cloud of gray and red, holding a massive mechanical buster sword. The knight steps forward, staring at Solty, and then, August takes a second to leap on his back. Even with the slight delay, the knight suddenly moves, and is superhumanly fast. It moves to cross the distance and strike that sword into Solty, with the force of a cargo truck hitting someone, and attempt to send her flying backwards. There's no words. Just the action of a serious competitor trying to win this.
Solty Revant	When she enters and sees August, Solty raises a hand to wave cheerfully. "Thank you Mr. August! And good luck to you, too!" she calls out. When the bell rings to start she is left a bit awed as that giant black knight appears, and she is distracted from even taking up a defensive stance. When it rockets forward that surprises her even more! The hit carries so much force behind it that she is sent flying through the air, smashing through a few boulders and finally into the safety barrier. A ripple of energy flows over it before she falls forward from the impact point and lands on the grass in a heap. She gets up slowly, grimacing in some pain and holding her left arm, which has a deep gash in it now. Electricity arcs over the gash and gleaming metal is visible where her artificial skin was destroyed. "Eh-ehehe..." Solty weakly tries to laugh it off. "N-not that you need it." she adds, then works her arm a bit to see if it still functions. When it seems mostly operational she clenches both fists and finally lowers down a bit into something of a fighter stance. "I hope I'm a challenge at least!" she exclaims as she dashes forward with almost as much speed as the knight. A flowing, yellow-orange aura surrounds her fists as she moves in for a frontal attack, aiming a pair of strong punches at the knight's midsection. Each impact unleashes an explosive burst of pure force.
August Kohler	August did a hell of a hit. That's exactly what he wanted, and he grins a little, as Solty clenches into a stance, glows with aura, and moves to throw explosive force punches at Dietrich. They impact, blowing off armor and staggering it backwards, but there's a twist. The armor regenerates, though it clearly drains August's energy to do so, as the sword comes up again. This net strike doesn't have the intention to send Solty flying, just to hit her square in the last wound and do more damage, carving into the mechanical parts of the robot girl. "Good hit. But strength is in my veins. I can't lose this."
Solty Revant	Solty tries to guard against the hit, bringing both arms up in an x-block...but it is only the lower amount of power that keeps her from being swept away again. She yelps with the hit and gets sent rolling back a short distance, and when she hops back to her feet her injured arm is sparking even more and hanging limply at her side. "M-maybe so." she says, one eye clenched against the pain despite her being an android. "But I won't give up!" She starts forward again, her good arm still glowing with that flowing aura. It leaves a trail as she moves...until she suddenly disappears, reappearing nearly instantaneously behind the knight and August. Already mid punch, she has added a flying knee to try and make up for her arm being disabled.
August Kohler	August moves to guard as Solty speaks and glows still, but then, she disappears and appears behind the knight. She's able to knee August directly, causing him to groan, bruise, and stagger forward, shared damage with his Persona, but then he suddenly draws a combat knife from his jacket, kicks off Dietrich, and moves to stab it into Solty's abdomen, trying to bury it in. This is MECC, she'll be fine, he tells himself. It's a flashy show, at least, and since Solty's a robot, it won't hurt her too bad.
Solty Revant	She'll be fine thanks to the MECC, but when that knife since into her abdomen she reacts much as any flesh and blood person would. She lets out a scream of obvious pain. Of course, stabbing into a powerful robot with a bit metal poker carries a bit of risk, and electricity arcs over the knife. Not really a dangerous amount, but enough to cause some pain. And Solty looks somewhat conflicted. "...I know that this is an area where we can't really get hurt...and I know not everyone can punch like I can, but...I will never get used to people using deadly weapons in a competition like this." she says. She tries to grab onto August's knife arm with her good hand, then aims a quick series of knee strikes at him. She obviously takes it for granted that she can take such hits and deal such hits without the benefit of weapons or Persona.
August Kohler	More knee strikes and a surge of electricity through the knife send August pushing backwards into Dietrich, but as he spits out blood, he grins, and drops that knife. As the strikes batter him, August draws a chrome revolver, and moves to fire straight into the exposed abdomen twice, trying to dig open the wound even more. "Alright, I'm getting into this...!" The bullets are regular bullets. But they still hurt!
Solty Revant	Solty has rarely faced such brutal tactics, and they are working quite well on her. It is only her natural durability that is keeping her from taking major damage from such precise attacks. Those bullets cause Solty to cry out again, and the sharp clanging of bullets richoceting off of metal can be heard from -inside- of her. She looks pretty bad off after that attack and lets go of August, but she doesn't fall to the ground. Instead, her aura surrounds her and she floats in the air. She seems a bit confused once again. August said he is getting into this, but 'this' seems to be a pretty brutal hand-to-hand situation. Even if it is all a competition and they aren't actually hurting each other... But, since it -is- a competition in a non-lethal environment Solty smiles uncertainly and giggles a bit. "I..um...I'm glad you are having fun!" she says, then winces. "Nnng...b-but, I don't have much left...so I'm afraid I have to try and end it now!" She rears back to throw a powerful kick, but just as she is throwing it her form blurs and an instant later the follow-through comes from above August. An aura-clad foot is aiming for his head, promising another explosive burst of kinetic force upon impact!
August Kohler	Solty goes for her finisher. August nods, and prepares. The blow moves, and blasts for his...head?! August didn't see that coming, and is staggered backwards, nearly knocked unconscious by the force of the blow. However, he spits another glob of blood and continues moving. "Dietrich. Let's finish this." Blood running down August's mouth, the redhead steps back, and then Dietrich suddenly turns, swings that sword...and it becomes a chainsaw whip mid-swing, moving to slam into Solty and knock her into one of the rock outcroppings, hopefully the sheer force of that knocking her down and out. Right before it hits, August speaks. "Thanks for the fight!"
Solty Revant	Solty leaps upward to try and avoid the hit, but the whip wraps around her ankle and she yelps as she is thrown into that rock, smashing it pretty soundly and finishing her off. The match is called in favor of August, and Solty gets back to her feet once everything is reset. She takes a few deep breaths (perhaps odd considering she is an android) then smiles to August. "You're welcome!" she calls out to August, then moves to shake his hand. She looks up at Dietrich as well. "That's a really big knight robot! Where did you get it? Is it like me? Or more like Mr. Staren's robots?"
August Kohler	As August wins the fight, he's feeling good. He pumps up to the crowd, eliciting a roar, and then moves over and accepts Salty's handshake firmly. "Nah, it's a psychic construct. It's my ego manifested, not an actual robot. I guess I'm just a robot inside or something." August jokes, and then, as the crowd dies down, moves to head off. One more fight to go.
Solty Revant	Solty lets out an 'ooooh' and nods lightly as she listens, then smiles and waves to the crowd even though they are cheering for August. She may not be a crowd favorite or the winner, but she feels good about the fight. She feels like she did well, and could hold her own against someone like August if they attacked Roy or her friends.
