Scene #6538: MECC: Alea vs Sarracenia

Sarracenia	Another day, another fight! Princess Sarracenia isn't familiar with her next opponent, but she still enters in her usually way. She waves to any spectators that might have gathered then goes into her warm up exercises. Mostly this involves a sort of dance-like set of movements where she swings her hammer about in a graceful yet obviously powerful way. Her battle dress twirls upward with each spin, the black leather strips of material providing an elegant yet dangerous look. Once she has gone through the exercise she finishes with a twirling flourish of her hammer before slamming it down haft first hard enough to send a resounding thud through the arena. "Greetings! It is I...Princess Sarracenia Sundew!" For some reason there is a chorus of cheers, which turns out to be her collection of piranha plant soldiers that have accompanied her as her personal guard and personal cheer squad.
Alea	After a very close first round, the DCC of Arcade makes her way back out, untransformed right now. Carrying a emerald-green spear, she twirls it on her way in before digging it into the ground, twirling around it like a dancer then launching herself into the arena. This elicits some cheers from the crowd and Alea smiles happily, "Yes yes, your favorite Drive Core Controller is here, cheer for me, cheer for me! I'll win this time for sure!" she calls out to the ever waiting crowd. There's a shimmer that encompasses the woman's body before it shatters with an audible effect, leaving the DCC known as Emerald Soul in Alea's place. "I hope you don't mind, just a little battle upgrade. After all, can't leave my crowd waiting~!" There's a hop, a bounce, and she readies her spear. "Tell me, Princess Sundew, I hope your defense can handle my attack power, cause I recently buffed myself." There's a green circle that appears to her side "Sylhet Spear!" and as soon as those words are said, a large spear made of a steel tip and twin tree trunks entwined to make the shaft, launches itself out and towards the hammer sister!
Sarracenia	Sarracenia watches her opponent's display with a slight smirk. "Someone with as much of an ego as myself? This could be fun." she says to herself. She raises an eyebrow as Alea speaks to her. "A costume change, hmm?" she says, then smirks again. "I have also shifted my focus for this fight. Which I was focusing almost soley on attack, I have tried to alter my style to allow some room for defense. Let us see if it does any good!" That massive spear is launched, and Sarracenia leaps to the side while bringing her hammer around to collide with the tree spear. It works fairly well! The gigantic spear is knocked off course, but while it isn't a direct hit even the tiny bit of it that scrapes past Sarracenia leaves her bruised with a big scuff mark on the side of her battle dress. She winces from the hit, then hees. "Alright, my turn." she says, then reaches into her satchel and tosses up a pair of bullets almost as big as herself. She goes into a spin as they come back down and hits each one on the flat, firing them like cannon shots and sending the shark-faced projectiles toward Alea. Each one streaks through the air and explodes powerfully upon impact!
Alea	Alea nods, "Well, that is good information for me to know!" she replies back to her information dump. "Much appreciated for that." Now that Emerald Soul knows partially her opponents stats are, at least mentally, she can work around this. The DCC starts moving once the massive spear gets smashed with the hammer, "Aww, guess I didn't make the point on that." she jokes before skidding to a halt in mid air, the Bullet Bills "Wait, what is this, some sort of platform game?!" Alea dodges one of them at least, but the explosion from the second one actually snags her and sends her rocketing up into the air some more, "I'm more of an RPG person myself!" she shouts down towards the ground, spear twirling before she enters a dive! "But if you want to play games, I can show you a cool game that you'd want to play!" Emerald Soul grins, "It's called Dodge Spear!" Emerald Soul dives down and right past Sarracenia... and a moment later, wind slices from the sheer speed erupt around the Princess!
Sarracenia	Sarracenia blinks at the pun, then laughs a bit. "Oh, you made the point, but I just did not get it." she says back. The comparison to a platformer draws a browraise of uncertainty from Sarracenia, but the addition of RPG makes it clear that Alea is talking about games. Not to mention the actual mention of games a moment later. "Well, this is a tournament, is it not? I believe that is a focus in many games." The sudden rush from Emerald Soul has Sarracenia bringing up her hammer to try and defend again, but...the attack isn't what she was expecting. One of the wind blades slices at her before she leaps upward quickly to avoid the rest. "Impressive!" Sarracenia calls as she floats back down. "I am not sure I have anything that fancy, but here I come!" She somersaults, and once again goes into a spin. This time vertical rather than horizontal. She plummets down quickly, and tries to smash Alea with an overhead hammer strike, channeling as much of the centrifugal force as she can. "Hyaaah!"
Alea	"Well, you have to think on the fly, but thank you!" she replies back, twirling her spear as she sets up for the next thing she wants to do, at least, for a moment. She has an incoming Princess with a hammer to deal with! Emerald Soul leaps up and away, but when the hammer smashes into the ground, there's shards of the stage that fly up and cut right into her legs, causing her to visibly wince and shed lines of code from the new wound! "Mmm, that hammer is dangerous. MIght have to add that." A pause, "Or show it to Lexicon." though now that the Princess is on the ground again, Emerald Soul dashes in, for vertical strike, then a horizontal slash before bringing her spear back in a twirl and a thrust! "Let's see if you can withstand this little onslaught!"
Sarracenia	"I would be happy to let either of you look at it after the contest, but do not think you will be able to reproduce it so easily." Sarracenia says with a proud smirk. "My hammer was made from an already enchanted weapon of my world. The magic was altered in such a way that only I can properly wield it. Anyone else who picks it up risks being carried away by it!" Being on the ground after such an attack is definitely a bad thing, and Sarracenia can't get back to her twirling defense before Emerald Soul comes in slashing and thrusting. Sarracenia is hit by every attack, leaving cuts in her dress except for the last thrust which clangs against her breastplate and knocks her back several feet. She stumbles backward before finally slamming her hammer down to stop herself. She keeps a hand on the hammer as she reaches into her satchel. "Alright, let's see what you think of these!" the princess calls out, then tosses a few black orbs at Alea. Bombs! Or more precisely...Bob-ombs! Two of the cute little bombs with big yellow boot-feet go flying through the air, promising an explosive time when they hit something!
Alea	Emerald Soul nods a bit, "Well, that'd be interesting. Maybe use it as a prank on her." she laughs slightly before floating back up into the sky. "Kinda have an explosive temper, do you? You and Lexicon would definitely get along! Especially after I rile her up a bit with my superior body." more of that ego showing, but what can she do, she's a DCC, she has to keep up appearances! The bob-ombs are pulled out of that satchel and she tilts her head, "How deep is that bag of holding? Wonder what else you have in there." the orbs are launched and she dashes right through them, hopefully trying to avoid them, but when they smack into her wings, the explosion propels her downward, landing straight into the ground with a bounce. It takes the DCC a moment to get back up, rocked by the explosion but she's up and rearing to go, with various marks upon her body leaking digital code, "Oh man, after I just recompiled this." she shakes her head and actually slowly walks up towards Sarracenia, and just swinging her spear just to try and slap her around a bit. "I need a moment."
Sarracenia	"Oooh that would be fun! And if -your- body would give her pause, I am sure my own magnificent form would add to her ire~" Sarracenia agrees. She doesn't really know Lexicon either, but playing pranks is always fun. The mention of an explosive temper makes Sarracenia hmph softly and give her hair a toss. "I am simply not some demure, quiet little princess like some -other- princesses I know." she says. That spear comes in and Sarra manages to parry so that it only manags to knick her leg a bit. This still causes some visible pain and leaves a cut in the otherwise pristine skin of the princess. The princess leaps back, then plants her hammer in the ground head first. "Alright! That is enough playing around!" she says, then reaches into her satchel with both hands... And just starts throwing explosive devices at Alea! Bob-ombs, powder bombs, dynamite, missiles, mines of both proximity and timed variety, all of which release violent explosions upon hitting or nearing something. And to finish it off, Sarra pulls out another pair of Bullet Bills and uproots her hammer before blasting them toward Alea as well!
Alea	Emerald Soul shakes her head a bit at this, "Oh my." she states, "Why, if we did that, we may decompile Lexicon from sheer jealousy!" might as well boost BOTH ego's at this point. "Though, perhaps that what makes you entertaining. And predictable." her strike's parried and she watches... and she lets /everything/ go. "Oh well, this is what I mean by predictable! See, if you just stuck with something /else/...." Emerald Soul leaps into the air and glides right through the barrage before surfing on one of those Bullet Bills! "So, I hope you have the postage for this, because it was marked return to sender!" there's a brief pause, "Okay, that was bad." she puncuates this with sending a multitude of tiny spears towards Sarracenia! Not only that, she follows it to launching the Bullet Bill through the ring of spears aimed directly to the princess, with an even larger energy spear launched right behind!
Sarracenia	Sarracenia can hardly follow Emerald Soul through all the explosions. "Predictable?! How could anyone predict the multitude of explosive goodies I throw?!" she exclaims. Only to blink in surprise as Emerald Soul emerges...riding a Bullet Bill?! "What th-...how is that possible?!" Sarracenia practically screams as the DCC makes her way back toward the princess. She realizes a bit too late that not only is that Bullet Bill heading toward her now, but that there is another huge spear behind it! "...oh dear..." Sarracenia mumbles, just kind of wilting in place and watching the hit come. The following explosion and spear hit are pretty brutal. Sarracenia is blasted back, eyes and teeth both clenched in pain, only for her to let out a shrill shriek as that spear pins her to the ground through her middle. It is quite a good thing that they are in the Shrine, and when the arena resets Sarra's hands immediately go to her middle, feeling over it frantically for signs of a massive injury as she pants in panicked fashion. Slowly her breathing evens out, then she sinks to her knees. "...I...I lost again?!" Seems she has already forgotten that she actually did win a fight yesterday.
Alea	Emerald Soul launches herself off the Bullet Bill before it lands, landing on the ground from the beautiful explosion it, and the spears, make... and as soon as the Arena resets things, she gives a bright grin, "I never thought I'd see someone with that level of explosive talent." she comments, walking forward towards the downed Princess. She drops her transformation and offers a hand, "My name's Alea, the DCC and i guess Princess of Arcade. I formally invite you over for some tea and cake and gaming." there's a bright grin upon her face, "You did well, you really did. Well enough that I wanna add you to one of my games, of course, you'll get some royalty payments for it too!"
Sarracenia	Sarracenia pouts as she is complimented. "If I were so talented, those explosives would have actually caused some harm." she says, cheeks puffed up a bit. But, when Alea offers a hand and that invitation, Sarracenia blinks in surprise and smiles tentatively. "...really?" she says as she is helped up. "You want to model a game or avatar after me?" she says in that hopeful but skeptical way of someone who rarely has anyone say anything nice about them. She coughs into a hand, then looks off to the side. "I-I mean of course you do! I am beautiful and talented after all~" she adds. She blinks again at the mention of royalty payments. "...I could...earn money that is actually mine...?" she murmurs. As if she had never considered actually earning her money before. Which to be fair she hasn't. Royal families live on taxes, after all.
