Rhongomyniad     Welcome to Camelot, England's latest city to stand upon the expansive Welsh countryside. A walled castle-city with only one entrance, although its gates are ever open to the comings and goings of citizens and visitors. It's a fairly active place, and all hewn from shining white stone that stands in contrast to the more modern amenities like streetlights and road signs and even a modern cafe with free wifi.

There's a bit of a commotion near the gate, though nothing hostile. Passersby are simply gathering around a figure in full plate armor astride an armored warhorse. Their helmet is shaped like the head of a lion, with a great mane of white fur to complement the fur-lined white mantle draped about the shoulders. And the gathering is mostly just people greeting this knight. A few who just wanted to see her parade past on her horse, even in this day and age when most prefer a car.

By the chatter, it's undeniably the Lion King, the King of Knights herself, returning from some errand or another for Britain or for the Paladins. It's awfully hard to miss her.
Yomi Isayama This world was a little more modern than the one Yomi was from. Only by a few years, but it shows in some places. Not to mention the fact that everyone here speaks English, a language she is only... passably okay with. It still sounds weird, and she's certain that she sounds pretty strange to everyone else, but at least it's not hard to find the entrance of the castle.

Many others might be calling the name of the King of Knights, but there's only one voice speaking in another language. "Shishiou!" With an amused smile, she adjusts the strap of her sword's case on her shoulder and trots up to get in as close as she can in the crowds.
Rhongomyniad     "King Arthur, good afternoon!" "Good afternoon."
    "King of Knights, hello!" "Hello."
"Lion King, how are you today?" "I am well."
    'Shishiou!'

Dun Stallion is brought to a halt, and the stately Knight's helmet turns to scan those accumulated around her until her gaze settles upon the clear foreigner in their midst.

"Isayama Yomi," she greets in that same even tone. Her gaze turns aside, before raising a gauntlet-clad hand. Various onlookers say their pieces and the crowd begins to disperse after their various acknowledgements, "Welcome to Camelot. Would that I had known you were to visit, I would be better prepared. But nonetheless welcome."
Yomi Isayama One hand rests on her hip as Yomi smirks up toward the king. "I figured calling you that would make me stand out. Hello, Shishiou." She could easily use Lion King directly, or any of the other titles, but she's already found it amusing that her sword shares a name with the king.

As she walks up to the stallion, Yomi exstends a hand to greet the horse as well. "I didn't expect to have free time today either, but things have been remarkably quiet today. Only one small incident. I hope suddenly dropping by isn't imposing too much."
Rhongomyniad     Dun Stallion's response to the extended hand is rather nonplussed. This is a horse that's fought gods, demons, and all manner of monsters. He's not about to shy away from a random human petting his nose. And so he doesn't, just staring at Yomi with warm brown horse eyes.

"It is no imposition," Rhongomyniad states evenly, "Camelot welcomes all." After a moment, the King shifts, standing in her saddle and swinging her leg over. In this practiced motion, she dismounts Dun Stallion and gives his side a swat.

With her horse departing on his own towards the castle, the Lion King turns back towards Yomi, "You wished to meet me because of the name I share with your weapon. Does this remain true?"
Yomi Isayama Given the creatures she works with and has to fight on a daily basis, a horse was downright normal, even a war stallion. Yomi smiles at the reaction, or lack thereof, and gives his nose a few more pets before he runs off.

"Well, that's what got me interested. I figure I may as well get to know someone who shares that name." She shifts the case on her back a bit and tilts her head to glance up at the king. "Besides, we're allies. It's not a bad idea to become more familiar." She pauses a moment, glancing around at the gates, then up along the walls of the castle. "...and I've never been to a European style castle before, so there's more new things to learn."
Rhongomyniad     "It is but a title, although similar all the same," Rhongomyniad states, "Granted by others due to the armor I wear, and accepted by myself." With both hands, she grasps her helmet and lifts it from her head, mane and all. What rests beneath is that blonde-haired woman with glowing green eyes. Aside from the glow, she could honestly be anyone else...

The helmet is lifted, then disappears entirely from her grasp. Tucked into the Lance.

"What you see before you is an aspect of the Divine Lance, unfurled within this reality. Much like myself, the Holy City is but one piece of the greater whole that is the Tower that Shines at the End of the World. Merely one aspect of the Divine Lance Rhongomyniad." Hands lowering to her sides, she settles that even gaze on the girl once more, "That it should resemble a castle is coincidental. Although I find it appropriate all the same."
Yomi Isayama Though she's seen images of Rhongomyniad before, Yomi has never seen the king in person. Those green eyes definitely stand out... as does that trick of putting the helmet away into seemingly nothing. "So... the armor and the castle are part of the lance as well?" Violet eyes flick from the knight to the castle walls and back again. "Somehow I think it's a bit more than coincidence. Maybe either you or the land the lance was forged in had an influence. Appearances may be deceiving, though..."

Yomi considers this for a moment, then gives a shrug. "Shishiou - my sword, not you - is deceptively simple in appearance, but it has other things that make it special. Not just anyone can wield it either. I imagine your lance is similar?" She pauses again and shakes her head. "...though I suppose there's not much comparison. Your divine lance sounds like a much bigger deal to me."
Rhongomyniad     "Mm, the armor is my own. I merely store things within the Lance for convenience," As she walks, the armor flares with white-gold light, replaced with a more modern outfit. It still looks like a uniform, but at least it's not full plate armor, "Many such things have I learned since becoming a Divine Spirit."

"Any man may weild the lance as I have. I was but a knight who had found it in my travels. The being you speak to now is the result of mastering the weapon and accepting its higher purpose as the Tower that Shines at the End of the World."

Her eyes half-lid in thought, "A part of me is occasionally curious as to what I would be like had I rejected the Lance. Although I imagine it may have meant my death all those years ago."

Eyes returning to their normal gaze, she remarks, "Perhaps the Throne of Heroes has its own opinion on this matter. Only time will tell in this world of hidden magic and sudden Servant manifestation."
Yomi Isayama "Is the uniform yours as well?" Given that she's wearing her school uniform, it's not possible for her to feel underdressed. It's the school rules! Still, the outfit is spiffy. "Divine Spirit, huh... I'd like to investigate into that myself one of these days. My Ranguren is a Divine Beast--" she pauses and taps her sword case with a hand, "--and I've had plenty of encounters with spirits before."

Yomi looks a bit dubious at first. "Mmm. That may be the case. The lance does seem to have chosen you, didn't it?" She glances up to that thoughtful expression and smiles. "There's always an internet search. See the history of whatever version of you any more mundane worlds might have. That might end up being pretty sobering, though... I'm not sure I'd want to know the what-ifs of my life."

There are those terms. She's heard them quite a lot, and even met some other Servants, but it's still so foreign to her. "It's always hard to tell, when talking with you and those like you, just what... objects? What non-humans have decision-making intelligence. Most of the more intelligent youkai I've come across are more concerned with trying to kill people than anything else."
Rhongomyniad     "I am akin to a god," Rhongomyniad states, when Yomi repeats that phrase 'Divine Spirit', "And so I have assumed the mantle of God of Chivalry. Goddess of the ideals of knighthood. As befits the King of Knights, to reinforce the tenuous grasp I yet hold upon my fleeting humanity."

On the subject of an internet search, Rhongomyniad glances down thoughtfully, then ahead once more, "I have been advised by Sir Bedivere that I should never 'Google' myself. And so I shall follow his advice. It has not yet failed me across all these lifetimes."

"This Ranguren you speak of, this Divine Beast. It is a creature I would know as a Phantasmal. An ancient and powerful creature from the Age of Gods." Her eyes close in thought, "Such creatures are often harmful to humanity. That one has allied with you in what sounds like a mutual and willing pact suggests this Ranguren is an ally of Man. And thus I shall withhold my usual judgement. If a Phantasmal may choose ally with humanity, than the Tower may choose overlook a Phantasmal."

Such a judgement might not have been one she would've made even a few months ago. This realization gives her pause, she even stops walking for a moment. The King ruminates, then lets out a thoughtful 'hmm'.

"I was once human," she changes the subject, "Unlike a God who was born as one, I may refer to my humanity to guide my decisions thus in relation to leading men. Although it is imperfect; as I learned already."
Yomi Isayama "Ah, I see... Though gods mean something different in Japan, I suppose I get your meaning." Yomi is silent for a moment in thought, glancing toward the blonde. "...mm. I suppose you're not so different from a certain fox deity I know. You're much less of a troublemaker, though." Despite that, she can't help but smile a bit.

"Ah, Sir Bedivere gives good advice. I suppose that's for the best, after all." In this multiverse, who knows how much more that applies. "He was your advisor in the past as well, then?"

Yomi pauses again, reaching to touch her sword's case. "Ah, that sounds about right. Shishiou was forged centuries ago, and that was when his spirit was bound to it. He may be older than that." She smirks a bit. "Thank you for not trying to kill my partner, then. I don't think either he or I would appreciate it." From her light tone, she doesn't seem too bothered by the ruling, though. "...he doesn't quite side with humanity. More that he obeys the wielder of Shishiou. It's why carrying it has been my family's responsibility since it was forged." She glances up and laughs softly. "Though my boss seems to see him more as a pet. She's got weird tastes."

As Rhongomyniad stops, Yomi takes a few more steps, then pauses and looks back. "Ah, well. There's nothing wrong with once being human, is there? It gives you better perspective on the world than if you were always timeless."
Rhongomyniad     "Oh?" Rhongomyniad glances towards Yomi, the vaguest hint of thought on her face, "I would not 'kill' your ally. To be rejected by the Divine Lance is to be banished to the Other Side of the World. Where all Phantasmals are sealed away, as well as gods and demons and other things native to the Age of Gods. Other things which the World no longer welcomes." Raising a hand, she gestures to herself, "Maintaining this seal is the purpose of the Tower. To split the heavens and tether the Earth. The Anchor."

Her eyes close thoughtfully, "Mm... Although I have already passed my judgement based on a feeling. And so I shall uphold it even with this new information."

She pauses once more, but this time with purpose. The street beneath herself rumbles, and then the slab upon which the goddess and Yomi both stand on raises up like an elevator. Once it passes the roofline, she steps off onto a raised walkway along one of the castle-city's inner walls. From here, one can see the hills of the Welsh countryside and the sun dipping towards the horizon. And it's here that Rhongomyniad stops, staring off across those fields.

"Yes. My past life has provided some much-needed perspective I had not previously had. And yet, I live between two worlds-- neither god nor human." She lifts a hand, staring at it, "Emotion comes easily to humans. It is something I have not yet fully regained. It is as Arthur Lowell states, in regards to immortal beings: I have 'expired'. And so I strive to recover from this state. My grasp on my humanity is tenuous and fleeting. As you may recall shortly after my arrival within the Paladins; I very easily slipped back into the role of impartial god."

Lifting her gaze, she glances aside to the girl, "All too easily, I discarded my humanity to pursue what my divinity assured me was the greater good. And in turn, all of England has suffered for my mistake with the return of my vile uncle."
Yomi Isayama "...huh. Is that how it works here?" Yomi considers this for a moment. "Banish and seal away... We exorcists just kill them, or let them be if we've ensured they're not a threat. Even the ones that annoy us." Like that annoying nurikabe. "Your world sounds a lot more complicated than mine, though I suppose that might just be the differences." The exorcist quirks a brow. "You don't have to worry about him being a danger, though. I'm Shishiou's wielder, as heir to my family name. We've been together since father has been left unable to fight."

The sudden shifting ground causes yomi to take a step back, but her balance is soon restored. "...convenient." Once the elevator stops and Yomi steps off, she glances back down toward the land below. "Now this is a nice view." Tilting her head up slightly, she nods to the blonde king. "Ah, well. You just have to get used to it, right? No sense in turning back if this is what you are now. I guess even adults can still be discovering themselves, huh?" Resting one hand on her hip, Yomi looks straight at the knight. "Making mistakes, as they say, is only human. You can regret it and make sure not to repeat it, but don't dwell on it too much. Better to try to figure a way to fix it than to worry too much about the fact you made a mistake in the first place."
Rhongomyniad     "Mmm," Rhongomyniad makes that thoughtful sound once more, "Getting used to it is a challenge I shall not back down from. Although it is just that; a challenge." Turning back isn't even an option at this point. Something occurs to her, though, and she lifts her gaze, "I have realized this may have sounded as if I were complaining. Nay, I simply wished to share with you the full state of my being." Her head tilts slightly, "I am not unhappy with my situation."

Her gaze returns to the Welsh moors in the distance, "Relating my mistakes and their consequences. I dwell not, and seek to learn from my experiences. I believe I have, yet recognize there is more yet to be done before I am in a state where I am satisfied."

She nods once more, eyes locked on the horizon, "Although if I may, Isayama Yomi. What is it that drives you? Is it a sense of duty, or is there something deeper that guides you?"
Yomi Isayama "Ah, well... That's fine too. I can understand life-changing events, though definitely not on the same level you've experienced them. But it is always helpful to have a challenge to strive for." Yomi tilts her head slightly toward the countryside. "At least you're not alone in cleaning up problems. You know that. I've heard you talking with our allies before."

The exorcist pauses a moment and blinks. "Me? Well, there is duty. It's my job as an exorcist, and as heir to the Isayama family line. There's also protecting people." Yomi glances away for a moment. "...and I'd like it if nobody else had to go through what I did. That's reason enough to fight." For a few moments, her expression is glum, but then she puts a smile on her face. "Besides, I get to meet a lot of cute girls through work. That's definitely a plus."
Rhongomyniad     "Mmm," She makes that noise again. When she next speaks, there's a hint of Authority to her words, "A Knight is Sworn to Valor. His Heart Knows Only Virtue. His Blade Defends The Helpless. His Might Upholds The Weak. His Word Speaks Only Truth. His Wrath Undoes The Wicked."

Turning her head slightly, the goddess regards Yomi once more with that distant, glowing gaze of hers, "Were you not otherwise spoken for I would extend knighthood to a heart as chivalrous as yours."

She returns her gaze to the horizon, "Your words touch on several keystones which are integral to me. Your desire to protect those who cannot protect themselves, your duty to rid the world of wickedness as an exorcist who uses a blade rather than prayer. You would make a fine knight."
Yomi Isayama Yomi tilts her head slightly as she listens. "Traits of chivalry, from the definitive source?" She does remember what Rhongomyniad said she was the god of. "...I'm not sure if my heart holds -only- virtue, but I try my best." She lifts a hand to run fingers through her hair and sweep some of it aside.

"Ah?" Yomi seems to be taken aback at that statement, scratching at her cheek with one finger. "I'm honored you think so, at least. I don't think Aya-- Minister Jinguuji would want to let me go, though. Besides, I'm still needed in my world." She takes a breath and smiles. "We have a few who use sutras, but... my sword suits me better. And Master Michael can incorporate such things into the more modern weapons he makes."
Rhongomyniad     "Imperfection is the human condition," Rhongomyniad states evenly, "Even those amongs my Knights of the Round Table have failings in the tenents of chivalry from time to time. What sets them apart is their drive to uphold this code despite their shortcomings. That they should overcome such challenges as well. To become better human beings."

Those eyes close in thought, and then she nods once, "Yes. I understand you have prior obligations. Hence I have not offered such. Were the situation different, I would be compelled to."
Yomi Isayama "I guess I should read up some more on the history of the Knights of the Round Table, huh? I promise to only tease a very little bit if I find something amusing about you." Yomi tilts her head up and grins impishly at the king. She's not exactly used to royalty, so aside from titles, she's not being all that formal. Besides, she's not gotten the feeling that Rhingomyniad requires that sort of formality.

"Anyway, even if I'm not able to pledge that kind of loyalty, I am willing to come lend my aid if I am able to. We're allies, after all." She glances back out over the countryside again. "And I suppose I get a good vibe from you, that you're worth trusting and helping out. So there's that."
Rhongomyniad     Rhongomyniad nods once, "Yes, of course. As many of the Paladins have done already." There's the slightest hint of a smile. A sort of tranquil, satisfied look on her placid face, "This appeases me." Her head tilts forward slightly.

"Your books will tell you that King Arthur died in the Strife of Camlann. Know that I was mortally wounded, but did not perish there. Over these hundreds of years I have continued to live due to the Divine Lance."

Raising a hand, she gestures, "I am Alive. Much like the King of Heroes, I am merely an artifact moved out of my time by the power of the Holy Grail. Know this and you shall know that my history differs from what you may find."

Although it might also help caution Yomi towards certain Knights...

"Mmm..." The Goddess turns suddenly, presenting her back to the countryside, "Shall you dine with us this evening? I will make the necessary preparations."
Yomi Isayama That expression prompts a soft laugh from the exorcist. "Glad I can be of service, then. Besides, I know the trouble uncles can be sometimes... though perhaps mine is not nearly on the same level." Squabbles of succession pale in comparison to sorcerous dragons, after all. Usually.

"I'll keep that in mind while I'm doing my reading. It was long enough ago that I'm sure some details have been lost or distorted. Still, it will give me some idea." She nods once. "Alternate branches of the timeline, then. I'm not completely unfamiliar, though I am glad to say that I've never encountered another of myself." As to other knights, well... Yomi is not one to be trifled with, so they may try to do things at their own risk.

"Dine? Ah, let me check. Hold on a moment." The exorcist digs out her phone - still an old flip model despite certain someones trying to get her to upgrade. She'll cave eventually. A few taps on the buttons checks for any messages of importance, then she snaps it shut and slips it back into her skirt's pocket. "Looks like I'm free for the evening, though I'm still on call in case of emergencies."
Rhongomyniad     "This is amenable," the Goddess states in that even tone of hers, "Let is adjourn to the keep then." She gestures, and the walls shift. Somehow without obstructing the roads or homes below, the inner wall that the pair stands on bends itself until it leads to the castle keep itself. A nice, raised causeway from which the city can be observed during the walk.

"If you see a locale which catches your fancy, we may descend to investigate it. I hold dominion over this city as you have seen, so it is of no consequence to me." She doesn't think she's showing off, this is just using the most convenient method, "Shall we?"
Yomi Isayama "This castle really is something else..." Yomi never imagined she'd be walking across a morphing pathway that seems to form purely for the use of herself and the king. She occasionally glances over the side as they walk, taking note of what is below. "Kagura is going to be so jealous. I definitely am going to have to bring back souveniers for everyone or I'll never hear the end of it..."

Yomi knows she's acting like a tourist now, but she doesn't mind that much. The wonder is enough to overcome any sense of seriousness she may have.
Rhongomyniad     "Souveniers," Rhongomyniad repeats. After a moment of thought, she nods once, "Yes. A souvenier shop has already been established. At the recommendation of PresiKing Edison. Entreat yourself there at your leisure, it is at the end of the drawbridge outside the keep. So you may attend to it during your departure."

It is perhaps for the best that Yomi has not yet updated her phone. There's no telling how Rhongomyniad would react to being caught on video. Or perhaps she wouldn't react at all.
Yomi Isayama "Edison's idea, huh? I'll make sure to stop by there on the way out, then." Hopefully she'll find something worthwhile, and maybe some things less worthwhile she can give to a certain fiance.

There are only two people Yomi takes unasked selfies with, and neither are right here. The king is probably safe from surprise photos. "I'm a bit curious, I admit. I've never eaten with royalty before."
