Sanary Rondel -THIRTY MINUTES AGO-

"Wish me luck, everyone. I'm gonna get paid today!"

-NOW-

An APB had been put out for a speeding trolley, requesting assistance from Elites near the city in question. Reports indicated that the vehicle was hijacked by a one-eyed woman brandishing an axe, and that two civilians are still on the vehicle in question. To make matters worse, police have been unable to approach the vehicle after the first two squad cars exploded somehow, seemingly due to the woman "looking angrily at them".

By the time the Elites arrive on the scene, there's a trail of destruction.

The street facing an art museum is on fire. The inside of the art museum is also on fire, and several tourists and people in suits are watching it with mixed reactions. Three squad cars have been turned into smoldering wrecks. Someone has just been put into an ambulance on a stretcher, and the vehicle is about to leave.

Several blocks down the street, a trolley is speeding along and shows no signs of stopping for the seven police cars trailing it. Sanary can be seen poking her head out of the trolley every now and then, waving her axe at any squad cars daring to get closer. The driver looks terrified. There is also an old woman knitting in the back, seemingly oblivious to what's going on.
August Kohler Sanary says 'Everything is under control'. Well, August doesn't believe her for a second, so he is currently riding on the back of his black knight Persona, the powered armor knight dashing through the streets towards the sound of commotion, chasing that trolley. Elites were called. He'll handle it!

By aiding Sanary. Yeahhhh, he has skewed priorities. Thrusters fire up on Dietrich, launching the Persona in the direction of the trolley over a cop car, and on top of it. August climbs off the Persona, desummons it, and moves for a window (opening the door might let them get inside), forcing his way inside and rolling onto the trolley floor.

"To answer your question, this is absolutely hijacking." August pauses, and then walks up to the driver. "Don't stop. Take the route to the closest warpgate. If cops are blocking it, be circuitous in the way you trolley drivers absolutely know how to be." August reaches into his pocket the same way one might reach for a gun. It's definitely an act of mild intimidation.

"What the hell happened, Sanary?"
Sanary Rondel Of course it's not under control. It's Sanary that's involved in this.

The healer tenses up briefly as she sees the shadow of something large approaching the trolley, and her eye glows red briefly as she prepares to fire on whatever it is in case it's trying to stop the vehicle. Once she recognizes it as August's Persona, hwoever, she instead turns her gaze towards the still-approaching cop cars and lets off a brief laser that lights up the air with an explosion behind the trolley.

Luckily, it doesn't actually hit anyone. It does cause the cars to swerve some in an attempt to avoid being turned to slag like the others, though. The trolley driver doesn't quite have that luxury, though, as he just looks slightly over towards August and nods slowly before turning the trolley down a narrower street to keep the police from getting too close.

He looks rather calm about all this, too, despite August reaching for something. It's the Multiverse. This shit happens sometimes.

"What? But they're the ones that chased me on this thing!" Sanary points out the back of the trolley, grumbling briefly before throwing her hands up in frustration. "Bah. Freakin'... Could've gone so much better if the director just backed me up." She rubs her forehead lightly and holds onto one of the metal bars going from the floor to the ceiling.

"You know that job I talked about? Yeah... Uh. I did my job. I kept someone from messing up the exhibits, and then the police started hounding me. Next thing I know, the director's all 'I don't know this woman', and the cops wanted to bring me in!"

She's leaving out a lot of details there, but at least there aren't any cops shooting into the vehicle or ramming it. They can't! That old lady is still knitting in the back.
Sanary Rondel Luckily for Sanary and August, the driver seems just a little too used to driving getaway vehicles, even including trolleys with armored psyche ghosts parked on them and police chasing them. The old lady, too, doesn't seem to mind at all, and she's even bobbing her head lightly while seeming to just enjoy all the attention from the cops behind the trolley.

The warpgate is soon in sight, and the trolley heads straight for it. Should it turn away? Probably, but turning away would mean ramming the trolley right into the police, and the driver isn't having any of that. A twist, a turn, and the trolley goes right off the tracks into freedom!
