Yunomi Stadler     Her name is Ya. she was fond of her old name, but when they had changed, she had kept hers. Others chose virtues, or traits, ut she liked being Ya -- and as Ya was a word for an arrow, she was satisfied with it.

She was clad in the faded greens of late summer, her hair in a shimmer of golden flower petals. HEr ink-black eyes were pouring over the pages of the thick catalogue.

And around her, the once extremely chaotic 'Hall of Oddities' was organized by creator and function, and she (and the team of other kodama) were rather proud of bringing a little order to the chaos in the Izzet spire.

She hums as she writes with a brush almost as tall as her, little straw sandals left to the side.
Rhapsody     Order in Nivix was a strange thing. It often caused problems that most would not expect to see happen within the massive spire. An event of this sort was making it's way down the hall, toward the doors, with a sister in tow. The two were chatting about a random device that had been made some time ago. A device that, while originally made for making things weigh less, could be used for target practice with the right adjustments. Something the sister could make use of in her training.

As the door is openend, sister and brother quickly back away, expecting the customary spill of trinkets and oddities to come spilling out. Instead, they are treated to the sight of organization of the most disorganized place in Nivix.

In unison, pointing at each other, "Did you order this?"

"No."

"Then who did?!"
Yunomi Stadler     Ya paused as the door flew open, and she stepped up the spine of the book carefully as the two rushed in, and her feathery eyebrows rose up in surprise -- she hadn't expected anyone to come touring /today/ -- there's still a few uncatalogued items!

"I... don't think it was ordered by anyone, really; a small task force of kodama have been working on the orginisation of this place for some time... hello. I am Ya." she states, and gives a small bow.

"THe idea was broached with your father... and we assumed he would have given his permission."
Rhapsody     But wait, there was someone, or rather someones, in the hall! A quizical look is exchanged between the white and red dragon before all eyes are turned downward to Ya. While Rhapsody answers, Ryxinel's eyes are darting all about the hall.

"Oh, you .. organized it for Niv? That's ... that's very kind of you," one part happy one part reminiscience. Meanwhile, Ryxinel pipes up, "Well where- Wait, no I see it..." a pause. "Well what about the -- ... m.. no, it's right there..." another pause, "Well where is the Gravity Well Inertia reverter at?!" He's failing to sound angry. From the expression across his muzzle and the lack of energy in his tail, it's fairly obvious.
Yunomi Stadler     The little kodama gives a smile, and she tucks her hands behind her back as Ryxinel begins to look around the hall, in an amused expression. He begins to question the location, and she darts down, hidden by the great book. There's a tiny grunt of effort, and then several pages flip to the right page, and she turns the catalogue for the two to see in neat, Ravnican handwriting a series of letters and numbers.

"The gravity well inertia reverter was a little too large to be placed on the shelf under its creator's name; there is an auxillary shelf in the back right hand corner, aisle B, row fourteen, second shelf in."
Rhapsody     The red dragon looks stern, glares stern, then it all just rushes out like so many deflating balloons as he heads to where he was directed. After vanishing around a corner, a "Thank you." can be heard.

Rhapsody just smirks at this, watches him stomp (you could only tell it was stomping off if you were a sibling) off, and then kneels down by the book, "You did a wonderful job. I hope it can -stay- organized, though. A lot of people come in and out of here looking for things, even inspiration."
Yunomi Stadler     Ya looks mildly up at the dragon, defending herself with feigned disinterest, until he deflates, and moves around the corner.

And then she gives a small smile and calls out "You're welcome!"

She changes demeanor from STERN LIBRARIAN to conversational as she replies to Rhapsody.

"Yunomi has set me in charge of keeping the order here. Tea, Guildmaster?" she questions, closing the huge book with great effort, and then hopping up to retreive her tiny zori sandals. "I like the relative quiet here.
Rhapsody     The offer is a surprise, but a welcomed one. Rather than kneel, Rhapsody takes a seat, "That would be nice of you," she replies before looking around the hall a bit more, clearly impressed. "It is fairly quiet. I think that Niv had it insulated against the constant vibrations from explosions in the spire."
Yunomi Stadler     "I agree. The other Kodama enjoy the bustle surrounding Yunomi's life, but I have always liked the quiet parts of it. While we were living in Frederick, I most often stayed back from the greater activities. I used to be quite afraid of the military men." she explains, and from behind a stand, she produces -- a full size tea set. Well, the pot itself is half-sized, and it's only with difficulty that she's able to lift it, and pour a cup for Rhapsody, and then she tilts it into a little thimble for herself.
Rhapsody     "You seem very able, though, Ya. I think anyone can appreciate someone with good work ethic. I know I do," Rhapsody says before sipping at the drink she was given. "And I'm sure Ryxinel will too. He's just not a big fan of having things moved around." Snicker.

    "I HEARD THAT!"
Yunomi Stadler     "In which case I won't tell him that his forge is next on our list." Ya replies, and sips her tea. Aah. Tea.

"And thank you for the vote of confidence, Guildmaster. I will do my best to keep the Hall organized in spite of the reputation of the Izzet for chaos."
Rhapsody A smirk is Rhapsody's reply. The crash of at least three things rings out from among the rows before there's a sound of someone scrambling to put the same things back where they fell from. "NOTHING HAPPENED!" Rhapsody just smirks more, not even feeling the need to say a word.
Yunomi Stadler     "I see that natural grace must come from your mother." Ya comments lightly. Teasip. She seats herself at the edge of the table.

"Has Yunomi broached the idea of working with the Combine and the Selesnya Conclave about a potential major project yet?" she inquires.
Rhapsody Rhapsody blinks at this, "No, but I have been rather busy lately. Between the Namamura District and the annual utility inspections before the change of seasons, things have been very .." a thought. a sip. "Complicated," she finally says before looking back at the kodama. "I understand asking the Simic for assistance, as we have in the past, but joint projects between the Church and the Izzet are rare. While we have been allies during conflicts, our guild principles conflict rather often." Mother? Mm. No, she doesn't respond to that comment. She would agree, but Rhapsody knows very little of her other parent.
Yunomi Stadler     "It is in regards to reseeding and restoring the land of one Dun Realti to grow crops and provide a harmonious cross-section of human life and nature, including the building of a massive greenhouse. I beleive she is currently working on measurements and planning." Teasip. Ya loks to Rhapsody.

"... more seriously, she wants to use Dun Realti as a model to fix a whole Earth's worth of dying vegetation."
Rhapsody     Another sip, "That's quite the project, I won't lie, but I'm not so sure it is something the Izzet can help with. The vines were one thing, but to work with so much vegetation at once would could almost exclusively be a Simic Project. I don't see a reason why they would say no, however. As for the Church," she trails, pondering for a moment. "I can see why they would assist in such a venture, they would probably use such a project to help restore sectors lost to gruul raids and the like along the coastline.
Yunomi Stadler     "It isn't an Izzet venture, it is a Stadler venture, though she's planning on using Izzet materials to base the greenhouse and its solar processing to power fans inside." Ya replies. "My concern is that her powers are lessened and she will try to hide her new weaknesses behind her classic sense of bravado, be killed, and in such all of her kodama will perish as well."
Rhapsody That's a thought that gets a cough out of the Guildmaster, "I see," she muses, recollecting her composure, "Of course she can use anything we have to offer, I have no issue with that."
Yunomi Stadler     "... she didn't tell you that, did she?" Ya sounds dryly amused, her small voice crackling like fall leaves. "Creating greenhouses and plotting restoration is all well and good, but where would you be without her here to look over things? SHe's become a symbolic staple, uniting the old regime and new. Her 'spider hunting' in the halls doesn't hurt either." she adds. "You could order her to stay here, tend to the singing garden. Issue her unending projects."
Rhapsody     The guildmaster shakes her head, "No, no. It's her creativity that's been a breath of fresh air in the Izzet. I will do nothing to hinder that creativity, Ya," Rhapsody is quick to point out. She even sets the cup she was given aside before she continues. "While she may not think it, the Izzet League has come to respect her a great deal. The boost in morale from the garden alone caught father off guard when she first arrived. The projects she has created since then have caused a lot of magewrights to think further outside the box they didn't know they were still inside. She knows she has myself and my siblings at her back, and the next time she's in trouble she will have our help wether (sp) she likes it or not."
Yunomi Stadler     "It is not trouble I'm concerned about. Trouble follows her like her tail; it is part of who she is. What I'm concerned about is the willingness to sacrifice thirty lives because she has a boyfriend she wants to impress. When she lost Namamura, she lost purpose. Hungry for purpose, she could throw herself into undesireable things, like bad romances or behaviors that do not benefit either her or the guild."

Ya sets her thimble to the side. "And if the Garden should die? Or the lovely network of red and blue flowers that have sprung up around the lift openings and windows in some places?"
Rhapsody     A breath, a sigh, "I see what you mean. It's not a problem I know what to do about, Ya. Consider for a moment my age. While me and my siblings are lucky enough to have a wealth of inherited memory, we simply don't have an experience like this. Niv's... departure is one thing, but we were also left with something to look after, to take on. For Yunomi, I'm not sure what I can even do to help her with this."
Yunomi Stadler     "... neither do we." Ya replies quietly. "I've not forgotten how she created us, and then remade us, gave us better form and voices. Some feel that we have no reason to question her... but do we not have a right to determine our own existances?"
Rhapsody     "I just..." a sigh, a slump, "Sometimes I just feel like I'm too young for all of this, Ya. I want to help her. I can see what you have seen, I see the reports. I understand that, on one hand, I am the guildmaster, but at the same time she is both older than me, and has been an Izzet longer. It feels so.. Awkward.." a shrug, "I do what I can, where I can, and hope for the best, but the last few times I have done this it hasn't turned out the way anyone wanted. It's why next time I won't stand idly by." Then, after a pause, she speaks with a firmed tone. "I should talk with her. I shouldn't be afraid of just a talk with someone I consider family."
Yunomi Stadler     "That could go for both of you." Ya points out. "She takes her guarding the Izzet very seriously, and blames herself for much of what has occured since her moving here. I can only imagine what she'd go through to protect you from magic-eaters... she /would/ die to protect you, you know, because it's what Niv-Mizzet charged her with."
Rhapsody     "If those monsters came -here- they'd have more to deal with then just me and my siblings." A pause, then the Guildmaster seems to gain even more energy as she makes a mental decision. "Yes. Thank you, Ya. I will see about having a few words with her. I can imagine how she feels about That Night but it was not just her fault.." she scowls, "It is not as if I was there, or my siblings. I'm sure the rest of our allies feel quite the same. If we fight, we fight, there may be no avoiding it, but there are some things I think that need to be said."

All the while Ryxinel has been watching, and at the moment, peeking out from the rows, he seems to be approving of what's being said.
Yunomi Stadler     "There are many 'that nights', Guildmaster." Ya replies quietly. "You may have to point out which nights you're in reference to, else Yunomi may take it as all nights." Ya frowns. "Mi told me that when she returned this morning, she was wearing someone else's clothes and carrying her armor under her arm. Mi is concerned she will attempt to move her base of operations to Sydney in a desperate attempt to recover some bit of power... Ravnica has many defenders. Namamura had only the one guardian."
Rhapsody     That causes Rhapsody to wince. "I can't imagine, that after everyone came here, she'd simply leave them. She is still their Guardian as much as she's mine," the dragon muses before considering, "When it comes to me talking about a night, there is only one I even consider to be so important, Ya. The night Niv left was hard for -all- involved, for myself, for Ravnica, for Yunomi, and for every one of his allies. She is not suffering alone," A sigh. "I could cry and complain about this and that, and saying how I wish I had gone to Namamura, and how I wish I could have done something last night, but hindsight is always twenty-twenty and I have to deal with things -now-. I Have told others before, and I will tell you the same. I will not stand idly by, and I will not remain inactive. If a threat comes to someone I know, I -will- assist."
Yunomi Stadler     "She purposefully kept you from going to Namamura, Guildmaster." Ya stands. "If she had failed in front of you, what would be the purpose of even returning?" Ya points out, and her arms cross as she quietly regards the guildmaster. "She protects what she loves with all her heart and strength. You could order her to stay here, to work on projects. Pile a to-do list as high as the spires, and she will obey and keep to them."
Rhapsody This causes Rhapsody to stand, "Ya. While I am enjoying the conversation we are having, this is the second time you have suggested this to me. I can appreciate your desire for safety, but I will -not- do such a thing to her after all she has done for the Izzet. I will speak with her, but I will -not- abuse her loyalty to me."
Yunomi Stadler     Ya stands "And when she sacrifices herself, what then? Who will listen in the dark hours of the night to the whispering of the flowers, searching for spiders in the spire, Rhapsody? No one else in the Izzet does what she does, and you will lose her to some... some jocky in a giant robot!"
Rhapsody A pause. A long look down. "Ya. Are you jealous?"
Rhapsody     The guildmaster folds her arms, "Yunomi has been visiting the Jaeger pilots for a while. I have even met the Striker's pilots and I have no issues with them. They treat her well, they are sensible enough that they didn't lose their minds when I met them, and they took Ravnica in stride far better than other individuals I have seen from a technologically advanced world. They are protecting a world that needs protected, and if I had the chance to assist them against a Kaiju I would. So. What is so bad about Herc and Chuck?"
Yunomi Stadler     Ya frowns. "Fine, there is nothing wrong with the robot jockeys. There will be though because if I know my creator, she will put herself in a kaiju's way to protect that arrogant loudmouth."
Rhapsody     "Ya, you should have more faith in Yunomi," Rhapsody points out. She makes a motion for Ryxinel to come out, and he does, with the Reverter. "I see her as family, I will help her as best I can. I would hope her Kodama would do the same." Ryxinel starts to slip out, recognizing his sister's body language, "Thank you for organizing the hall, I appreciate it, but if you only stay here, and do nothing out there to assist Yunomi, you only have yourself to blame for the repercussions." And that said, Rhapsody would start to make her way out.
Yunomi Stadler     As the guildmaster and her brother leave, Ya gives a little smile, and leans back.

Another kodama leans down from her spot on the hanging light overhead.

"So they're going to talk to Yunomi and maybe get her to open up about how she feels?"

"Either that, or one of them is going to sit down and have a very serious talk about the birds and the bees. I'm not sure which is more horrifying. I'm hoping for the former, though, Mi."
