Ainsley     Clouds cover a town. Ainsley stands there in the street, staring down a lurching figure that glares at her with bloody eyes. Pure terror shows on Ainsley's face as she keeps her gaze locked with the being she can hardly recognize... A blurred form with glowing red blood leaking from its eyes, mumbling to itself in words that warp and reverse. It drags a sword behind itself, and seems simultaneously there and not there at the same time.

It doesn't advance on her. But she doesn't attack or run, because the entity before her is rotting the very grass at its feet, as if it's exuding an aura of intense aging.

"Requesting immediate assistance at my coordinates."

The radio signal goes out to whoever can hear it, coupled with her coordinates.

The entity twitches, agitated by the words. It lunges forward, and Ainsley attempts to evade, only to vastly underestimate how fast the being can move. She gets skewered through the middle, and then struck with a balled fist and knocked through the wooden wall of a building. People in this town Ainsley has visited scatter to the four winds, not interested in the fight and panicked beyond belief by the horrific sight before them.

Ainsley gets up, wounded and bleeding... and drops her sword to start running away as fast as she can, taking flight and finding a building to hide in. She leaves a trail of blood that might eventually lead this creature to her, but she's more concerned about the fact that she'll bleed out if she doesn't treat herself immediately... and to do that, she has to limit her mobility. So, her only choice is to hide until help arrives.

    --*--

When the party gets to this town in the midwestern United States, they find it creepily deserted all but for a strange blurry entity wandering through it, babbling to itself. Occasionally a word seeps through that can be understood, echoing across the dusty streets. Perhaps some fragment of what was once its intelligence.

    TRAITOR

Even if it can be understood, it's horribly distorted, to the point it feels like a listener's ears might start bleeding.

It doesn't seem aware of anyone looking at it. There's some time to form a plan, but it's not clear how much. Ainsley is nowhere to be seen, but the trail of blood can be found if someone is looking for it hard enough.
Zephyr Windstar     The wind seems to pick up for a few moments, like an angry god of the four winds has stirred to life. The gusts coalesce at a point about 200m up in the air, where a large purple spell seal draws into reality. A flash of light announces the arrival of a very /angry/ Mage, who wastes no time leaping from the magical platform, and begins scanning for anything out of the ordinary. "Dee. Area Search, Magic-class signatures. We hafta find Ainsley ASAP."

The Device in Zephyr's hand chimes brightly. <OF COURSE. MASTER! AREA SEARCH!> it announces, deploying a sextet of glowing purple motes that flit out in different directions, searching for strong magical signatures, or lacks thereof.
Faruja Faruja Senra arrives not ten seconds after Zeph. The rat clearly leapt at the chance; hair disheveled and wet, robes hastily thrown on, and already clenching his Blaze Gun, there's both naked terror, and cold fury upon his face. Someone has hurt his lover. And they're going to pay for it.

But some small part of his rational brain is jogged by Zeph's words. He closes his eye, and simply uses his nose. Powerful Burmecian scent picks up on something. Blood. Likely Ainsley's.

"Watch the creature. Shouldst ye find anything, let me know. I shall play the bloodhound." With that, he summons up Fairy, the winged esper following him as he starts to follow that bloodtrail.
Riva Banari The call for help goes out and Riva immediately dropped what she was doing. The strange Quetzal had been of immeasurable assistance in her own world and travails, and she couldn't possibly imagine not helping her out when she was in trouble.

The appearance of this town is distressingly familiar to Riva. She might have lived in a place much like this at one point, and to see the deserted street, well... It puts her on edge immediately. This is the kind of place that should be alive and full of people doing their thing, living their lives.

The quiet babbling causes Riva to look up towards the blurry entity in the distance, and she frowns. Is this the cause of Ainsley's disappearance? Where did she go?

Riva looks up at Zephyr and Faruja as they begin a search for Ainsley, and gives a thumbsup, before focusing on the creature, obviously torn between confronting the potential source of Ainsley's disappearance and looking for signs as to where she actually might be. "I'll keep watch on that thing down there" She says, hunkering down. Man, she's wishing her guns didn't get melted the other day...
Staren     Staren arrives at the rally point in his usual power armor, looking around frantically -- and then stumbling as the mana overload hits him. Ugh... it feels like being on a super-leyline... this entire world should be covered in rifts, by his own world's logic. Still, he's not a leyline walker, so his mana sense isn't very strong -- so the feeling is noticeable, but not /too/ much of a pain. A bit uncomfortable, but like an item of clothes with one scratchy spot, that pales in comparison to the urgency of the situation. Why isn't Ainsley here? Why wouldn't the coordinates be precise?

And then there's a... thing. That Faruja says may be Ainsley's mother. What?

Oh well, all that can be sorted out after they find Ainsley. Staren releases some camera drones from his bag, which take to the sky, giving Staren an aerial view of the situation. Not that that will help if Ainsley's inside, but it's a start, and might alert them to any other hazards lurking around.
Emiya Shirou     'I wanted to be a person who could improve the future so that history books did not have to be filled with tragedy.' Those words are still ringing in Shirou's ears...gut... - no, soul - when the distress call comes in. From that one person who might, maybe, understand him. He can't possibly let her down. Not answering her sincerity would be one of the worst mistakes he he could possibly ever make after hearing that.

"Why'd you have to go and get in trouble not one hour later?! I'm still sore from that training." Shirou complains to himself. He's had to struggle to make it all the way out into this townSore is perhaps a strong word. His Magic Circuits are a little hot and aggravated, but nothing like previous abuses. They're perfectly usable. It's just a little uncomfortable.

'It is not a well-defined dream, and it sounds a lot like yours when you boil it down.'

So he can't le her down. If they have the same dream, then saving Ainsley is the same thing as saving his dream.

Even if his magic is crap. Even if his body is weak. Even if his foe is impossibly mighty...

Shirou rides in on a bicycle like a madman to the coordinates, nearly hits a fire hydrant, goes skidding across the pavement and rises to his feet all in one discombobulated motion... the instant he sees that strange entity.

Even if he wasn't a Magus, he'd know. That person is not normal. That person...

    Is a monster.

    He needs a weapon.

"Trace, on." It does take some time, but since he has a moment, he'll take it to project a weapon - a mighty weapon indeed. Emerging from a haze of golden prana sizzling in his hands is the dazzling CLARENT, the RADIANT AND BRILLIANT ROYAL SWORD used by Saber of Red, aka Mordred. Just in case.
Ainsley     Zephyr locates the magical signature of the culprit -- quite a large one, in fact -- and also locates Ainsley's, who seems to have retreated away to a cluster of buildings off on the edge of town, a good half-mile away from the lurking entity. It's hard to pinpoint where she is, though, because the signature is smeared over the entire area where Ains retreated, thanks to the way she emits mana wherever she goes, and the local atmosphere. There are a few civilians hiding here and there, but it seems that, for the most part, people have cleared out of town following the arrival of this thing that attacked Ainsley, too afraid to try to fight it themselves, and savvy enough to know when a lethal threat has invaded their space.

Faruja can locate Ainsley about as quickly, or a tiny bit faster than Zephyr. Wherever the lizard girl went, she sure curled up in the most obtuse and difficult to locate spot in the town. Probably entirely on purpose, too.

A few things happen when the heroes get here that cause a reaction out of the Monster that stands in the street there in plain sight. It hears Zephyr's words, and its babbling stops. Its whole body lurches to get a look up at the flying mage. Silence like an oppressive blanket fills the air, as if the creature is trying to think of a way to get up there and attack the flying wind mage.

It is a palpable, and /visible/ aura of malice. Black sludge accumulates and drips off of the creature, like coagulated emotions. A whisper of phrases all themed toward murder and hatred fills the air, evaporating off the sludge. Mana-sensitive folks can sense it's corrupted, dark magic. Faruja would immediately recognize it as the time magic signature from before.

Then something else draws its attention. A push of magic on the local atmosphere, something mighty and a feasible threat in its alien mind.

It begins advancing toward Shirou with an eye-watering gait, like it's out of sync with the idea of time and space. The only way to properly predict it is the trail of black clawed footprints it makes on the ground as it advances toward Shirou, as if it's broken into a sprint toward him! Once it nears him, it tries to make a horizontal sword strike at him that, if it were any lesser man, would bisect the target immediately with frightening speed and ferocity. It is only hard to predict, however, and not a physically-strong strike.

And the moment the strike completes or misses, he'd get a brief look of the painful gaze of Kana, Ainsley's mother -- the resemblance is uncanny -- whose face is not full of rage, but of intense sorrow and blood-tainted tears and a great deal of pain. The blurring doesn't exist at close range, as a solid entity's more stable time flow acts as an anchor.

The shriek she makes, though, is anything but normal, anguished like this state is a torture that she cannot escape. It's very distorted, an assault on the ears.

Shirou just got a firsthand look at the horror that permeates the Burnt Earth.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr tchs. She recalls her wisps, and marks coordinates for those with better seeking skills. She then turns her attention down to the Monster in the street. She doesn't see any anguish, just unnatural speed, magic pouring from it, and an intent to kill Shirou. "No you don't! Mach!"

The mage blurrs out, as her Device chimes. <BLITZ RUSH. MACH PUNCH!> She goes from in the air, to bringing a wind-sheathed right arm around in a heavy cross-punch at 'Kana's face, attempting to drive some space between her allies and the... thing in front of her. "BACK OFF!"
Staren     Allies tag locations that start appearing on Staren's minimap, but apparently they're unsure.

What is sure is the thing attacking Shirou. Which looks like it's infected by that black ooze stuff from Kingsmouth. How'd /that/ happen?! In any case, attacking it was problematic, but that blurring, skipping effect seems to be stopping now that it's close to a target. Well, Staren can take advantage of that. And as Zephyr jumps in too, it's clear that they're fighting this thing, one way or another. So he pulls his laser rifle off his back, and begins firing a burst whenever he thinks he can get a clear shot without Shirou or Zephyr in the way.
Emiya Shirou     "What-" SUDDENLY, Shirou's under attack. He can hardly react intelligently to the thing that's coming at him. Yes, 'thing' is almost appropriate. The strange shiftiness has him wary and uncertain, and the RIDICULOUS SPEED fills him with the immediate sense that he's made a mistake, that creature can and will kill him offhandedly.

    But.

    *CLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!*

Sparks fly in the night, of steel on steel. Clarent is brought up in a savage parry, though really, it's more the weapon moving without much input from Shirou!

And he gets a face-full of... "Ainsley?!" No, it's not. he's not good with her species, but it's easy enough to tell with a second or two that this is NOT her. "uwah!"

Panicking, Shirou fills his body with prana in a heartbeat. The Reinforcement job is one of his better ones this time, and he uses the moment he's got to KICK BACKWARDS off the ground. He sails back through the air a good ten feet and goes skidding. "Wh-who are you?!"
Faruja Faruja uses his nose well, and finds himself teleporting about town to follow the scent. All the while, hearing the battle in the background, all he can do is pray that the others can handle it. He offers some wisdom over the radio, before turning to his task.

And what a town it is, even Faruja's scent making it difficult. He combs through alleyways and buildings in order to find her, seeking out both blood trail and the sense of her magic through his own senses in the area that Zephyr indicated. "Ainsley! Speak to me! Where art ye!?" He yells out occasionally.
Riva Banari Think.
Feel.
Listen.

Riva remembers thsoe words from her training. Remain calm, go with your instincts. Understand your surroundings. And now that she has a few moments, she understands much more what is putting her off kilter.

The colossal amount of power that surges through the earth. For someone like her, it's like standing on a burning heart.

It's all too simple to see what's going on. The being resembles Ainsley's mother, but is clearly gone mad. Madness pours from it, violence and hatred like an open wound. The being attacks Emiya with a devastating strike, and even the aftermath of the blow causes Riva to cringe. Is she going to be able to do anything to help here? She draws her blade laboriously. The steel of the weapon is warped slightly, as if exposed to a horribly intense flame. Black scorchmarks remain on the weapon.

But what continues to work are the Anima circuits along the weapon. With a flash of light, Riva opens herself to the power and begins channelling it into the weapon, a flare of light along the edge as she lunges in for the strange entity. "You're going to stop that right now!" Riva yells, slashing in at the being.
Ainsley     The sword is parried, and Kana is met with the peculiar sensation of being forced back into the ordinary timeline... which lasts long enough for her to get socked right in the face by an enraged wind mage! She goes soaring off her feet, the feeble, half-insane mage flying through the air, and barely staggering to a stand, then getting shot repeatedly with lasers until the blurring returns and one of the lasers slows, as if absorbed by the sword that just moved to intercept it. The light is visible as a glowing point within the blur, before a sluggish swipe of the sword sends it flying back.

The light misses everyone entirely, and cleaves a nearby magitech car right in half, making it explode in a cloud of blue fire. The desynched Kana seems stationary for a beat or two, overwhelmed by the attacks from all directions. But the focus of the battle starts drawing her back to reality. She starts to appear solid...

As her form regains coherency, the party sees her for what she is. Kana is a Grey Scholar and a Quetzal, but her black robes are caked with mud and dirt, her feet and hands are bloodied, her face is covered in blood that has been leaking from her eyes and smeared across her muzzle and feathers from repeated attempts to wipe it away. She looks aged, her feathers gray and tattered, with visible wrinkles in her scales and a trembling weakness in her body. She's as tall as Ainsley is now, made all the more imposing by how thin she seems to have gotten.

A black ooze drips from her mouth and stains the front of her clothing. She begins uttering arcane words to herself, a sibilance that scratches at the back of the minds of all but the most magic-resistant of the party.

"Who... who am I?" she wonders, her voice cracked and dry, even if the black sludge tries to weave a spell for her. "Who..."

Riva makes the last strike at Kana, and the sword is brought up in trained instinct to guard, knocking the blade from her hand. Kana is disarmed, and nearly helpless --

But Riva can hear that whispering uttering phrases that distort perception, in Kana's voice. The Quetzal woman speaks to Riva as if barely aware of what's happening around her, while the liquified darkness speaks mad words without pause under her voice:

    "Who was I...?"
    nothingnothingnothingiamnothingoblivionemptiness

"I'm... I am no one. No one. NO ONE. I feel no pain no hate no sorrow nothing--"

The sludge gets too thick for her to speak, and then she lunges for Riva with both hands, electrical power surging through her form. She tries to electrocute Riva!!

Faruja's tracking leads him to a home that, when he steps inside, he finds Ainsley seated there in a chair with her longsword grasped in one hand, her other hand placed on her wound. The lizard girl is unconscious, but breathing slowly. She seems to have saved herself from death with a quick application of blood magic, but the blood loss knocked her out anyways.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr grunts as she connects with that strike. She shakes out her hand, knuckles reddened from the sheer outpouring of malice and magic. "Okay, new plan..." She grasps her Device in both hands, brings it up a little in her grasp while reciting. "I call upon the great protectors, the fel daemons, and the high archon. Ragios, Razgriz, Lethim. Grant unto me thy strength." purple light surrounds her body, and the wind begins to pick up, whipping debris and fanning those magitek flames. "I summon thee. Heed my call!"

Divine Wind chimes resonantly. <TORNADO IMPULSE! CYCLONE SHIFT> The wind picks up to a gale, spinning in tight circles until a mini-tornado begins to engulf the mage.

Just as she's obscured by the dust and debris... the wind changes, and rushes out towards 'Kana' seeking to engulf her and get her away from Riva.

THe effort seems to drain Zephyr's reserves quite badly though, as after she launches the spell, she staggers and spikes her Device into the ground, panting for breath.
Staren     Staren scores some hits, and then his laser turns into a glowing point in the air. "...Oh, come on!! Light isn't supposed to work that way!"

She stops and talks while Staren tries to figure out how the hell to attack through a time barrier that even /light/ can't break.

He's out of time to think, as Kana prepares some kind of electrical attack. "!" His wings appear, and with a sudden burst of speed he dashes forwards, trying to elbow tackle Kana away from Riva (his left hand still holding the rifle) and then follow up with a point-blank blast from the particle beam cannons on his right arm. "If anyone's still in there, I'm sorry. But what you've become isn't going to hurt any more people."
Faruja Faruja rushes to the prone form of Ainsley, the nezumi kneeling down and looking her over. With Fairy's help, he'll try to move her to lay on the floor, using a spare set of robes as a towel. Concentrating after he speaks on the radio, he pushes as much magic as he can to Fairy.

The flying Esper gets to work swiftly, laying her hands upon Ainsley's wound. A bright aura of magic falls, the esper's gentle nature urging wounds to close, pain to cease, and suffering to end with quiet incantations and words that ring like tiny bells in the room. Ainsley might find herself growing more relaxed in her rest, thanks to the comfort of the spirit.
Emiya Shirou     Shirou's struggling hard to not freak out. That's Ainsley's mother? "Ka...na...?!" He croaks the syllables out, a bit wobbly where he stands, and brings Clarent up again defensively. "Pull yourself together... geeze, what happened to her?!" That bubbling glack goo is NOT a good sign. He's not sure what he is, but it's giving him awful vibes. And she seems to be off her mental rocker.... what can he do to help her?

"Maybe Ainsley'd have some answer... Staren, don't kill her! Let's try and keep her busy if we can!"
Riva Banari Riva is once again confronted by a being of unfathomable power that she has no way to deal with in an immediate fashion. The shift in appearance causes riva to draw back, hesitating in a follow up strike on her. Despite the horrible things that have clearly happened, Riva can see the resemblance. Mother indeed.

But a moment later, the hands lunge out towards her, crackling with lethal electrical power. It is only the intervention of Zephyr and Staren that get her out of the way in time, allowing her to not increment her death counter again. The wind pushed Riva away as well, ans she staggers back, throwing herself backwards to get away with the extra moments granted. "Oh god, oh god, oh god!" Riva says, hyperventilating as she realizes just how close to getting instant hell murdered she came. She readies her sword, and stays on the defensive... But is that going to even be useful against electric hands? Who knows. "Are you the one who hurt Ainsley?" Riva asks.
Staren     Only afterward will Staren remember that Riva has infinite lives so he didn't really need to worry that much.
Ainsley     Faruja moves Ainsley onto the floor, the unconscious Quetzal unable to put up anything approaching a protest. She lets out a groaning noise when she's set down, though, the pain still seeping through her unconsciousness. She begins to ease up on her grip on the sword as she's healed by Fairy, the weapon eventually clattering to the floor.

Kana is stopped in her tracks by several more attacks...! She is thrown about and blasted by wind and beam weapons and, when the dust finally clears, it becomes exceedingly clear that the Quetzal woman is not getting back up. She wasn't killed by the attacks, but her body trembles from the pain that the time desynchronization piled onto her, and she dimly stares up into the sky, barely aware of what's going on around her anymore. She might just expire on the spot if no one feels the compulsion to try to heal her. She doesn't seem to actually be that dangerous when outnumbered like this.

She has stopped emitting gross black mana radiation and time interference, though. Seems the beating jarred her back into reality. For whatever that's worth.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr reports, as she takes a few steps closer to the downed Quetzal. "Target Neutralized." she limps over, still recovering her breath from the use of her big spell. She kneels down beside Kana, dismissing her Device as she looks the woman over.
Faruja With Ainsley healed mostly, Faruja picks up her blade, stuffing it amongst his belongings. Then? He hefts the woman, and simply teleports to where he last knew the group was fighting. From there? The downed form of Kana will get a scowl as he gently sets down Ainsley. Faruja pulls out manacles, and some chains from his belongings.

"Bind her, please." Being an Inquisitor means you're always prepared for interrogations.

Then, Fairy is motioned over, and begins healing Kana after someone gets her nice and tied up.
Staren     Staren stops blasting when Kana seems... disabled, although he's wary. This is obviously the part where they think they've won and then the beast suddenly surges back. He doesn't pull the gun away from Kana's gut until Faruja orders her bound. Then he notices Ainsley. "How is she?" but he doesn't stare -- He puts away his rifle and takes the chains and handcuffs, binding Kana. "Are these magical, anti-time-distortion handcuffs?"
Emiya Shirou     "Time distortion? Is that what that weird blurriness was? I felt like she was skipping in and out of reality--" WAIT, HOW THE HELL DOES ANYONE JUST 'FEEL' THAT?! "--But time?!" Shirou's stumped.

Even if he was hit with a 'Haste' earlier, this is a very DIFFERENT thing to feel. And his gut instinct on things is usually pretty weird, anyways.

He's on the alert, since he can't do anything else except keep watch right now in case anything springs out on them all...
Ainsley     Kana stares up at Faruja without comprehension of what she's looking at. She squints for a moment, and reaches -- only then realizing that she'd been shackled at all. She's pretty much entirely crippled and too weak to fight at this point, and the idea that she might surge back to life is immediately absurd when the facts are presented to them. The healing ensures she can be questioned later, but she is profoundly weak and staring at them as if she just completely lacked any ability to think at all.

Ainsley is still unconscious, thankfully pretty unaware of the battle that happened here and the culprit. She might need to get told who this was... if no one thinks keeping it a secret is a better idea.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr adds her own binding, a ribbon of purple energy that mirrors the shackles. She then looks at the others. "One question left... if this /is/ Ainsley's mom... do we tell her?
Staren     Staren's response to Zephyr's query is simply to look at Faruja expectantly. He knows her better than any of them, right?
Faruja "She is strong. She shall live." Comes Faruja's voice. There's a hint of terror amidst it all, as though he's mostly convincing himself that nothing could go wrong after such a grievous injury. Every now and then, Faruja squeezes her hand, whispering to her lowly in adoration.

To Staren, there's a scowl. "The kind where if she so much as twitches wrong, I break her legs for hurting the woman I love."

All eyes on him. Faruja takes a deep breath. Closing his eye, he shakes his head.

"The idea of leaving her ignorant is tempting. It shall be less painful, at first. /However/." Deep sigh.

"I shan't lie to her. She deserves to know the truth, nay matter how painful it may be. She is strong. And she hath a lover, allies, and two bloody good friends. Will...all of ye help me?" He looks back to them, voice soft, almost a little pleading.
Staren     Staren nods. "Of course." After all, the best relationships are based on trust and truth, aren't they?
Emiya Shirou     "Don't be silly." Shirou declares Faruja's way. "You don't even need to ask. Ainsley has the same dream I do. Lying would just muck it up... she's going to be upset. I'll do what I can." Which might not be much but Shirou's determined to help somehow.

"....Faruja. There's something wrong with Kana. She seems... sick, cursed... I'm not sure. You're some kind of priest, right?" Well, he's not sure exactly, but it's worth asking about. "Is there some kind of curse on her you can exorcise? Ainsley will be happier if we can help her mother."
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr smirks a bit. "You didn't even need t'ask." she replies, echoing Emiya's sentiment. "She's my Sis. I'd do anything for her." the teen reaches over to take Ainsley's other hand, and gives it a squeeze of her own.
Riva Banari Riva arches an eyebrow at Faruja at his declaration. She might have just barely avoided getting killed again, but hey, that's an interesting thing to hear. She nods. "Definately. I'll help you." She says. She agrees with Faruja's reasoning on this one. Besides, who is she to stand between the love of a serpent and a mouse? She looks over the inert form of Ainsley's mother, and rubs her chin. "This feels... complicated. What was with the black goo? She was clearly being driven crazy by something, but what? Something about this feels off."
Faruja A hand goes to Faruja's chest. The nezumi bows low enough to nearly kiss the floor to all here.

"...God bless all of ye." He stays that way for some time, tail flickering over his face. When he's straightened? There's definitely wet fur below his eye.

First, he looks to Emiya.

"Bluntly? She hath tapped into temporal forces mere mortals art not meant to use. Ye art a magi, yes, Ser Shirou? Consider this an abject lesson, from one mage to another. The results of extending thine hand in greed and insanity. She is lucky to be alive. She hath been attempting to reverse her age. Succeeded. But look at the cost! Trod upon the domain of the Lord, and yet art truly cursed." His little sermon done, he sighs.

"Priest, yes. Exorcist? Nay. I specialize in sermons, diplomacy, and tending the souls of the living. I can find one, however. For now? Let us use our gifts. Hath ye sight of the arcane, Ser Shirou?" Then, he'd simply try to peer into Kana's magic up close, and hopefully some of that fading goo.

A glance to Staren and Zeph each. Thank Faram for sisters and friends. He owes the two a beer and hugs, if he'd ever be so undignified.

Riva gets his attention. "Mmm. Hath ye ever seen its like, M'Lady? Agreed. She was convinced Ainsley was a traitor of some sort. However...a connection? Ye speak truly. Methinks there is more to this than is immediately obvious."
Staren     Staren looks over Kana, then frowns a bit at Faruja. "There's nothing wrong with trying to reverse your age." He looks to Kana. "But, perhaps she chose the wrong method to do it." He scratches the chin of his helmet. "Fiora could just remove the corruption. Eureka might be able to turn it into something we can cure. But there must be plenty of elites with purification-based powers." Staren blinks. "She's human, right? I might be able to solve her aging problem and... whatever this stuff is," he sort of vaguely gestures at her, "in one fell swoop. It might be a drastic measure, though."
Emiya Shirou     "Not really. Sometimes I can just feel things but I'm no good as a Magus, besides creating swords." Clarent, Mordred's dazzling weapon, is still in his grasp, as proof of that. ".... Erm.... I do know a few thins. Theory and practices. Dispelling curses and spells just means overwhelming it with a greater force that can erode it... but I don't know what forbidden powers she stumbled on..." He makes a few grouchy, uncertain noises through the speech, helplessly shrugging at Faruja.
Riva Banari Riva looks taken aback. "She reversed her age? That's incredible!" She looks at the mother once more and rubs her chin. "Not... really... Something about this kind of reminds me of something that was reported on from elsewhere, but it's impossible that it could have come here... Maybe this is some kind of magical response to something she did? It's impossible to know more without getting some way of understanding her current condition."

Riva sighs. "I feel like I should have gotten a degree in medicine instead of art."
