Scene #608:

Owner	Pose
Taylita	Like the last time Taylita visited, there is sure to be a media storm. A familiar blue streak appears in the sky (Well, no doubt familiar by now thanks to the net), but this time it is much larger. It probably looks like a falling meteor, except its trajectory was changing and its speed was even faster than a meteor. It flies in right over the city, then the blue glow disappears as it comes to a hover over a certain auto shop. Then, it carefully sets down on the nearest roof that can support it, or clear area, The disk-shaped craft lowers a trio of landing legs before it sets down, then lowers a ramp. And out steps...the fiery red-headed saiyan! She hops down from the roof to the road below, landing without much more than the sound of a footstep, then she turns and knocks on Kotone's door. "Hey! Kotone! I brought the spaceship so you could see it!"
Kotone Yamakawa	Yes it's a good thing the multiverse had been known for a while or who knows how things might have gone down. Either way Kotone's been chilling out at home for the last few days but she hears something at the door. It's late she's not too sleepy, after her converion she didn't quite need sleep for anything other than well REM sleep really. She's casually dressed wearing a long t-shirt with some anime character on it and pants she pauses as she opens the door. "Taylita?! Hi...wait what the ship?!"
Taylita	Taylita grins as the door is opened. "This one." she says, then just grabs Kotone and pulls her outside, then just hops up onto the roof as if it were nothing, carrying Kotone with her. There, on Kotone's roof, is the disk-shaped craft. White with purple and yellow accents and a big bubble windshield. The ramp is still down, so Taylita urges Kotone toward it. The ship is only two or three times the size of a car, but even so the inside is rather comfortable. It's divided into four sections. The cockpit, the dining area, the cargo area, and the bathroom, with the cockpit and cargo area taking up most of the space. There are plenty of blinking diodes and consoles.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "Wait wha..." She doesn't get to finish as she's grabbed by the red headed mechanic. She's grabbed and in the worlds of an old internet joke. To adventure up they go she's pulled along with no /issue/ she ends up on the roof staring at the ship, her world had ships sure but nothing like this. In someways perhaps it moved like she's nothing she's now looking at it and doesn't need to be pushed too hard towards it as she goes to start looking about. "let me ges this straight this is an FTL able ship....?"
Taylita	Taylita follows Kotone inside, then giggles at her question. "Sure is. A few times the speed of light, actually." she says proudly. It may not be as glamorous or as sophisticated as ships of fiction, but it -is- a FTL spaceship. Taylita lets Kotone look around, making sure that nothing gets touches which shouldn't be touched. "What do you think?"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa looks about and lets out a low whistle. "I'm more thining hte level of technology to power something that can break the light barrier let alone at this /size/." Kotone is clearly trying very hard to not squeel she's very exicted it's easy to tell as she's looking about and seems to be trying to figure it out. "I'm impressed."
Taylita	Taylita hees as Kotone marvels at the ship. "If you think that's impressive...consider this. I had to rebuild it after the hooligans who owned it tried to kill me and destroy my home." she says proudly, standing tall and resting her hands on her hips. She giggles softly then smirks. "So, would you like a ride?" she asks, heading toward the cockpit.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa pauses for a moment and issues a command for her home to lock the door it's nothing huge but it's a little useful thing she does. "You have to ask! Let's go!" She's sounding like a kid she's never got on a space ship more than once a few months back. It was still new to her and this one wasn't full of horrible little green men and chest busting horrors.
Taylita	Taylita laughs, then motions for Kotone to follow her into the cockpit. There are a few seats there, and Taylita takes the one with the most controls, allowing Kotone to take any of the other seats. The one in front of the navigation chart might be best, as it has a clear view through the bubble shield. "Alright, hold on!" Taylita says, then punches a button and a stearing column extends from the control panel. She grips it, then with a tug the ship takes off. It accelerates to supersonic speeds and beyond within moments, yet there is little to no G-force felt by Kotone. In a few moments more, they have broken the atmosphere and are flying through space.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa heads into the cockpit and finds a bit to sit down in. She'll see if there's anything she needs to secure her self an otherwise? She'll make ready she looks at her and does hold on s the craft launches. She's pushed back in her seat by the force of it and is looking out the bubble as they are now in space. Though there's been a good deal of .. wreckage so to speak about the world lots of space junk. "...wow..."
Taylita	Taylita blinks at all the junk in orbit. "Geeze. You guys should really clean up out here." she says, then blinks again. "...unless you think the governments would hire the job out to someone like me." she says, grinning as she thinks of the possibilities. So much tech and spare parts. She could build things! But, for now, her ship punches through the shell of wreckage around the planet, then heads toward the little red planet, Mars. "Do you guys have any other intelligent lifeforms in the galaxy?" she asks as they cruise toward Mars.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa Says "Dunno maybe you could try to talk to the UN, on it who knows how that would go. I'm honestly not sure really. So far as we know we're the only aware things out there. Space is ... devoid of any life so far as we found so far save possibly some hints ther emight be microbes on one of the other planets but that's it." She's busy lookint out at the plant and is trying to get a good look. "Never thought I'd get ... to see home from this... to even get into one of the space programs is pretty insane...they take the top one percent of the one percent."
Taylita	Taylita hmms. "I'll have to talk to them." she says before listening to Kotone. "Why? Space travel is easy. There are places with whole fleets of giant starships. Maybe not on this Earth, but on a few of them. I think Starfleet is the best example. You could probably sign up with them if you wanted to work in space. I hear they take just about everyone." she says as they soar leisurely through the solar system, staying well within sight of earth. "I actually thought about joining them, but you have to go to an academy for years and then you don't even get your own ship. You just get to work on one. No offense to those guys, but I have to be my own master."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa looks to her friend for a moment. "It's still in its infancy we been at it less than a hundred years. Not to mention the third and fourth world wars really put a damper on the development of such." She takes another glance out the window and listens to what her friend is saying for a moment quietly. "I heard of Starfleet but the Federation doesn't have any real form of economic system. Hummm that too it's basically just like joining a wet navy back home. Few people get to command a ship, you already got space at your finger tips, right? Why give that up." She goes back to staring out at Earth again for a moment. "I think I understand what a man once said about my world."
Taylita	Taylita shrugs as she listens. "Hey, if you can make robotic bodies for yourselves that are just as good looking as natural ones -and- way stronger than your natural ones, then that's pretty impressive. I bet if your world had focused on space travel over cybernetics, you'd have ships like this one already." she says as they cruise around. "They do have aircraft here, right? It might not be space-worthy, but getting one of those would let you travel around pretty well. I mean, the gates of the Multiverse don't usually empty into space. They might go to the Void, but that's not really space. You can survive outside of your ships there." Taylita says, just thinking out loud. Then, she nods at Kotone's observation about commanders. "Yeah, from what I hear, there are hundreds of people per ship, but of course only one captain. So...I guess your odds of becoming a ship captain in Starfleet are not very good? At least, not without a lot of field work and stuff. But, what would you be giving up? You don't have a space ship." At that last comment, Taylita looks toward Earth. "What did he say?" she asks.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "True, it was a spin off of military technology to be honest, still I guess that's where a lot of things have come from." She smiles a bit for once about someone being impressed about her world's cyberentics. "Who knows, maybe things will change now we know we're not alone. As for humm money is a big issue there honestly. I get by however, I have been working for a group and getting around. I'm able to catch lifts from them." There's a momentary pause as she grins a little bit, she's clearly proud of something. "Sides I made my own motorcycle I use for getting around on the ground." It makes sense given Starfleet ships are pretty big right? Even if it's got a lot of automation?. Starfleet is into exploring so they likely carry a number of experts in different area given their jobs. As for me I dunno if I'd match to well with their culture to be honest." Kotone makes sure she's recalling the quote right, before she speaks. "It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known." She takes a moment to look back. "I think I understand what he means, it's ... so tiny against everything else."
Taylita	Taylita grins as she hears about the motorcycle. "Not as impressive as a space ship, but still, pretty impressive. Motorcycles are neat. If I couldn't just fly around, I'd totally get one." she says as she steers the ship in a slow circle at a good distance from Earth. "Any local planets you want to see?" she asks as they fly. After listening to the quote, Taylita smiles lightly. "I like that quote. Kinda follows my own philosophy. There's too much fighting, and for the wrong reasons. I like fighting, don't get me wrong, but fighting to kill or fighting to take property is fighting for the wrong reasons."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "he did a talk on this before I was born, I found it on the net a few years back. I think he's got a good point but I seen things come from beyond the stars with evil on their minds too." She gets quite about some of the thing's she's seen, she's not a fighter, not yet. She's started to learn as it's been needed to make her way in the multiverse. Still things trouble her. "It's true, you just seem to be after the challenge and the desire to self improve. Not make pillars of skulls from your fallen foes. As for a planet, yes, the next one out...Mars. It's named after an old war god, due to the surface being red from iron oxide. Well not that it was known when it's name was given."
Taylita	Taylita smirks at that first part. "So, you're a bit of a bookworm, huh? Er...net worm? Whatever. You like to learn about old stuff?" she says before she punches the accelerator and the ship jumps toward Mars. It takes only a minute or two to reach it. "Mars, god of war, huh? Well, I guess red is the color of war. But, I'm guessing you guys never found warriors or anything on Mars." she says as they come in close. She looks out at the red terrain as she flies the ship into the atmosphere. Amazingly, like before, there is little to no g-force, and the ship breaks the atmosphere without much effort. "Did you want to get out and take a walk?"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "Bookworm is still the term used even if it's a bit out moded to be honest. Yes when it comes to my area of skill sometimes the older stuff is far more reliable than the newser. Less things to break, right? All depends on what it's needed for really, right tool for the right jo..." She trails off as they break light barrier. She pauses a moment later as htey come into orbit about the planet and looks down, man she thinks she may have to keep this to herself but wow the view is amazing. "Found that there is water there but no direct signs of life." She looks at Taylita with this look on her face kid on their birthday. "Yes but... I can't go out unprotected. The lower air pressure for one, and the I'd not be able to breath. Yes I still need to, my grey matter kinda still likes Oxygen. If you got a way I'm all ears."
Taylita	Taylita grins, then brings the ship down for a landing on a nice flat area. "Hey, this is a space ship. Of course we have ways to go out in space." she says as she leaves the controls and heads toward the cargo area. There's an airlock room there, and inside are several space suits made for extra vehicular activity. Taylita moves into the airlock, then motions for Kotone to follow. "Pick one about your size and slip it on. Then, we can go for a walk." she says, grinning all the while. She slips into her own suit, then waits for Kotone.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa smirks for a moment and heads to get a space suit she takes a moment to find one, she does not hhave experiance with this. Hopefully this won't end too badly she does take a bit to get it on. After the suit is on and adjusted she feels the seals snap hiss and follows Taylita on wards to the airlock. "Ready as I'm ever going to be however." She goes to grab some sort of tool, what could she be up to with that? She has a plan...oh yes.
Taylita	Taylita takes a few moments to make sure Kotone is all hooked up properly. Then, she turns to open the airlock. There is a hiss as the air inside is forced into the cabin area, then when the indicator turns green, Taylita opens the door. There is a very slight woosh of air. Mars isn't completely without atmosphere, after all. Taylita hops out of the airlock and hovers, her ki powers working as well in a space suit as they do outside of it. "Oooh. Red." she says as she floats down to land on the dusty surface. She blinks as she notices the tool, then points and asks, "What's that for?"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa takes a moment ot get used to the lower gravity and she looks out as they go out to check things out. She's molving very slowly however and stumbling a bit as she tries to put too forcve into her movments. She flails for a moment but recovers to watch and look about for a long moment. "...oh just leave a little something for when people chose to get off thier butts and come here. Well I'm thinking about it and this ... is amazing."
Taylita	Taylita blinks, then laughs out loud at the comment. "Yeah, what's wrong with you humans in this world, anyway? Haven't even explored your solar system?" She is still giggling when she hears the second comment. She smiles before looking around. "It is pretty amazing. Flying around in a spaceship is already pretty awesome, but standing on another world? Especially one like this? Very awesome." she says, then she starts walking. "Hey, are we going for a walk or what?" she asks teasingly.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "We had two world wars in the span of two decades, one of them had Weapons of mass destruction. If Japan hadn't figuredf out how to deal with radio active fallout? We'd be a very grim world. It kinda set all our space programs back when people are busy cleaning up radation and the like right?" She's now bouncing a bit having fun with the low g. "...yes we shall!" Away she goes off to adventure!
Taylita	So, the two go bouncing off together. Taylita giggles as they bounce along, stopping every now and then to pick up a rock or inspect a detail in the terrain. "Sounds pretty bad. Did your people have to cyberize in part because of the exposure?" she asks as she tosses Kotone a fairly round rock.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "It was a spin off of military technology and the technology used to clean up the fall out actually. Still a full body is needed for working on a few of the remaining sites that need to be cleaned up. Tiny machines measured in the scale of atoms really it's how this all works and is able to work with what's actually left of me." She moves to catch the rock and pauses looking at it for a moment. "Still there's those who haven't given up on trying to get here, I don't wish to ... rob them of that if I'm making any sense? No need to broadcast our trip too hard. Sides what I'm going to do could be blamed on old unmanned mission but we'll know right?"
Taylita	Taylita nods after Kotone speaks up. "Yeah, I get it. It's an achievement each world should enjoy." she says as she keeps bouncing along, then stops as she comes to a deep ravine. She peers over the edge, then smiles. "Unmanned mission. Sounds pretty good." she says before turning to look at Kotone. "Maybe you'll be one of the first ones to fly to Mars on a spaceship from your world?" she says, seeming to like the idea.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "Indeed it is I don't want to shatter someone's dream that way. I had enough of mine dashed as it is you know? Yes they did quite a few over the last 50 or so years really. Maybe I will who knows Taylita but for now let's go for our little stroll on Mars shall we?" She turns and breaks into a bit of a power jump but it does not go so well as she almost ends up flat on her face. "I intended to do that..."
Taylita	Taylita hees as Kotone almost faceplants. "Alright, let's have a race then. First one to that boulder over there." she says, pointing. "Sound good?" she asks before reaching to help Kotone up. "If you think you can stay on your feet that long." she adds, grinning teasingly.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa accepts the help to get up and has a grin on her face behind the faceplate. "Oh your so on." She knows she might not be ale to catch up and win but hey this is going to be fun. "So ready?"
Taylita	"Set...go!" Taylita finishes the sentence, then waits for Kotone to start running before she takes off, bouncing along in the low gravity. "Hehehe! You don't stand a chance against a saiyan!" she says as they run, leaving footprints in the red dust behind them. It is probably obvious that Taylita could go much faster, but she keeps pace with Kotone, not wanting to just destroy her friend in the race.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa runs as quiock as she can and she's not holding back this time. Runs faster than a normal human could and she's giving well Taylia more of a race than she might have expected. She keeps going however chasing after her, she's just having fun not caring this is one of the most /crazy/ evenings in her life.
Taylita	Taylita continues to keep up with Kotone, then hees. "Come on! Show me what that awesome body of yours can do!" she calls out before she really starts running. Still not the max that a saiyan can run, especially one of her power level, but it is definitely a couple times a normal human's foot speed. "I bet you can run circles around racing cars!"
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa is not holding back she not military grade but she is pushing it as she watches Taylit go she kinda stares for a moment and attempt sto push it as hard as she can but there is a slight difrerence. The way someone of flesh can push themselves harder? She does have a top limit but it's clear she is pushing it.
Taylita	Taylita runs all the way to the boulder before skidding to a stop. And given the difference in gravity here, the skid takes a while longer than it would normally. When she finally stops, she laughs delightedly then turns to face Kotone. "Come on, slow poke!" she calls out playfully, smiling to her friend.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa catches up but hey the loe g is fun and she attemps to skid but it doesn't go so well she does mange to not entirely lose her balance but she's lost this one she does catch up in the end and laughs. "You have far too much fun brekaing every law of biologty my world ... has don't you?"
Taylita	Taylita blinks at that, then giggles. "I guess I do." she says, then sighs. "But, we should probably get back. I've got work to do, and if my doctors find out I'm flying around in outer space, they'll be upset." She makes her way back over to Kotone, then takes her head. "Come on." she says, then floats upward gently, again breaking those laws of physics and biology as she takes Kotone up with her. Then, they have a leisurely flight over the landscape as Taylita makes her way back toward the space ship.
