Touta Konoe The Quilt has always been known for its ever changing landscape. Constantly in a state of alteration. Though there's only one change that matters, at least for those arriving now. With recent reports of a new body of water forming within the Quilt it quickly became an oasis for any wildlife in the area or for wandering travelers. It didn't take long for news to come out about those waters lurking with what appeared to be predatorial aquatic creatures.

Looking into the reports a certain young man brought a request out on the public channels urging assistance in the investigation of this body of water and the potential creatures hiding in its depths. Believing that the new formed body of water might have been caused by a Warpgate the young man has given brief warning that those who arrived may want to be bring what they feel is necessary for self defense.

For those that decide to take up this endeavor they would probably spot the young man who had been talking it up on the comms the last few days. A young man that appeared no older than perhaps twelve or thirteen years of age. His attire adorned of mostly black from his spikey black hair, his jet-black gakuran, and black pants. Whether it was intentional or not, even the unsheathed katana he held in his hand was entirely black as well. The only real touch of color he had was a red shirt he was wearing under the gakuran.

Though his attire may have been a bit dark, his attitude seemed nothing but bright as he would greet those who arrived at this 'lake' with a large smile and wave.
Dorian Pavus     Wonderful. Water creatures. Dorian isn't from a place that has any means of exploring underwater, and he isn't SCUBA certified. He may end up needing to stay back in the bank here. But hey, it sounds like there's some problems with water creatures here, so Dorian figures he might as well check it out.

He's wearing his usual attire here, a light-colored leather armor with a white cloak over it. Though one gauntlet is clawed these days, and there's a large shoulder protector on one arm. Bit odd for a necromancer to wear white, but Dorian's one of the last people anyone would accuse of being the 'typical' anything.

But he approaches the young man at the banks of the lake, a staff in hand that bears three serpentine dragon heads at the top. "So, I don't suppose we could just hit the lake with lightning and be done with it?" he inquires. That he could do. But at least it's a lake and not an open ocean. Ugh.
Yuna Kagurazaka Life has been busy for Yuna Kagurazaka of late. Besides her continuing career as an idol, attending classes at Beacon, and her duties as a member of the Hikari Defense Alliance, she's also been learning how hard it is to be a voice actress, on top of having to record songs for the series in question *and* being available for publicity events .... and then there's actually being the Savior of Light. Which is involved, directly or tangentially, in at least two of the above.

So when Elner picked up on that bit about the oasis that might have very hostile critters in the waters, Yuna couldn't exactly try to exempt herself from helping investigate. She *does* have the ability to both investigate and fight underwater, after all, and if this is a threat to innocents (which seems very likely, just given that it's an oasis in the middle of nowhere which is likely to lure travelers), Yuna can't ignore it.

Yuna's already in her Light Suit when she arrives - or rather, she's in Powered Form, framing her body within a fairly large battlesuit and providing her with higher offensive and defensive capabilities, plus the hover-thrusters for high-speed overland travel. As she nears the oasis, though, Yuna slows to a halt and disengages from Powered Form, jogging over to join the black-clothed youth and Dorian in her basic Light Suit while Jiina reassembles behind her. The little robo-faerie Elner flits along next to Yuna, while Marina and Erina are slower, walking along with the reconstituted Jiina and hanging back for the moment. "Was it one of you who put the call out?" Yuna asks as she approaches, smiling brightly and waving to the two guys.
All-Seeing Eye On the horizon, there's a little black speck, chased by a billowing cloud of dust and a twinkling purple light. As this figure approaches, it becomes more defined. The dust cloud is kicked up by some sort of vehicle, and the twinkling light appears to be the means of propulsion. Gradually, the rider comes into view--a tall, slender figure with long black hair and a preference for the color black similar to Touta's. As he pulls up and parks the vehicle, those gathered can see the differences--he appears to be in his twenties, his skin darker and his features more feminine than the young man who called for assistance. Today, he wears a shiny leather overcoat, a pastel tie dye shirt, and tailored grey canvas pants.

The vehicle, some sort of hoverbike, is turned off, slowly lowering to the ground before folding into itself and into its rider's palms. Yes, it's just broken the square cube law over its figurative knee. The rider fixes Touta with a wide, magnanimous smile, and bows deeply before him. "Hello, young man! I am All-Seeing Eye, Warden of the Paladins." He rises, his vision zooming in on the lake. "I presume you're the one who requested assistance. The expertly-groomed gentleman makes a fair point. I'm certain with enough voltage we could terminate your predator problem most efficiently!"
Starbound Flotilla "It would be a better a task to investigate the ecological disruption."
"You're just mad because someone found your mom out here and got scared."
"Har! A mighty burn, matey!"
"Amused. Please, please, we don't need to make fun of each other..."
"Coming up on the site now. Ready up to deploy and hunt."
"Yeah yeah yeah!! Floran gonna ssstab biggessst fish!! Yeah!!!"

The Flotilla arrives! Six captains riding a set of six hoverbikes, much like All-Seeing Eye's, rush over the dunes, pull up, and quickly disembark. All six of them are in their standard Durasteel equipment! Moonfin, the fishman, is in elaborate full-body durasteel armor that looks like a powered cross between a diving suit and a samurai's armor, glowing cyan at the faceplate. Biteblade, the humanoid plant, is in durasteel plating with elaborately carved wood and bone ornaments over glowing powered components that glow an intense green. Pavo the bird-girl wears a pirate-aesthetic set of mesoamerican-style armor, with yellow bands of energized fabric linking the pieces to her central piratey longcoat. Albert the monkey-man is wearing elaborate dystopian commando armor reconstructed with a 'rebel spy' aesthetic: A sleeker faceplate, a slimmer form, and a more chaotic design that integrates thin, resilient plates of durasteel, and lines of bright white. George (just plain human) wears a futuristic combat EVA hardsuit that glows a gentle red at the flat faceplate. Seft, the robotic Flotilla member, is wearing full-on medieval knight armor with a soft energized blue glow below the plates on her body, and especially around the eyes. Each has a heavy industrial-yellow two-pronged plasma-cutter-like tool strapped to their side, a Matter Manipulator.

Biteblade is the one who bounds up to Touta. "Vampire friend! Right? Vampire friend? Offer for hunt? Heyyyy!" Unless he stops her, she's gonna try to aggressively greeting-hug him. "Tell Floran about lake! Floran isss great for environment engineering! Want lake gone? Reveal sssecret bad monssster thing? Tell Floran about monssster! Floran wanna hunt it!" She seems quite... Eager to get right into the business. The rest of the Flotilla is already setting up their staging ground just off to one side, while she interrogates the Holder

"Oi!" George calls out to Dorian, inviting him over. "Looking like you don't got much in the way of dealing with the water here. You want some spare stuff? We got EPP Nanoskins if ya need 'em, ought'a keep ya breathing and moving underwater. Swimming's your own business, though, we don't got anything for that."

"Cheerful. Oh, Ms. Kagurazaka!" Seft calls over to her. "Friendly. Oh, it's wonderful to work together with you again. How have you been? We haven't seen you since that IFO incident, I hope your work has been treating you well in the... Goodness, has it really been almost two months now?" Her eyes flicker to a wide, but cheerful expression.

"Hmh. Would likely beach it as it escapes. Dangerous xenofauna are usually amphibious. Better tactical situation." Albert says, wandering over and agreeing with All-Seeing Eye's assessment of the optimal tactic, but not of the outcome. "Not harmful to try. We can work to make the lake more vulnerable. What do you think?" His terse, short wording turns the question towards Touta now.
Touta Konoe The first thought that comes to Touta's mind as he sees the others arrive is just one word. WOW. They were all so different from one another that for the first time Touta honestly could believe that each and everyone one of them came from a separate plane of existence. Touta takes note of the first person to arrive, Dorian.

His appearence doesn't seem to off, or at least not enough that Touta feels the urge to question it. After all, he doesn't know what's suppose to be normal attire for the Multiverse. All he's seen so far is school uniforms so as for what other people wear he has no clue. His attire does garner an impressed look from the young man though as he takes the moment to look Dorian over.

"That sounds like it could come in handy. But, probably should hold off until we see what we're looking at. After all, I'm not really sure what's down there. For all we know it could just be someone pulling a prank or making up false reports.

"Touta's head turns to meet Yuna who appears to be on the complete opposite spectrum of Multiverse fashion. While Dorian's appearence gave off more of a magical sort of feel to it, the battle suit that Yuna wears makes her seem more of a sci-fi character than a magical girl, he's almost a little disappointed when she disengages from it.

"Yeah, that'd be me. I'm Touta Konoe. Also, I don't know what the heck that thing is but it looks awesome!"

Before he gets a chance to get more distracted by Yuna's gear and begin pestering her to see if he can try any of it, his attention gets pulled by the sound of the All-Seeing Eye who Touta had been too distracted by the others too notice his disembarkment from his bike. Touta scratches the back of his head wit his suggestion to go with Dorian's quick fix plan. "Paladins, oh so you probably know Maire- Eh?!"

Touta is surprise hugged?! The sound of the Flotilla's arrival was definitely something of a show with the six hoverbikes, but he definitely wasn't expecting to be hugged! Especially by some sort of plant thing! He's seen alot of different monsters and creatures but out of all of them, the Flotilla definitely seem to be the most unique he's seen!

"Hehehe, hey, I was getting to it! Let me go though! I can't do anything when I'm being wrapped like this!"

Hopefully, Biteblade would take that moment to let him go so he can take a better look at the Flotilla's. He's definitely familiar of Biteblade from her voice, and he recalls George's voice immediately as the NOT criminal he had been talking to on the channels.

He takes a good look around at everyone whose arrived and then another look into the background.

"Alright, so I guess this is everyone who came. So first off, my name's Touta Konoe! I'm new to the Multiverse, but excited to check things out. So like the reports said the reason I asked everyone here is cause of this." He quickly points towards the lake with his katana. "I heard that there's been these things that have popped out and been causing trouble. Didn't think too much of them at first until I heard more about what they look like. Which from the sounds of it, I think they might be creatures from my worl- Mmmmm, universe? Not sure what's appropriate to say, point is that I just want to see if this creature is from my world and if it is, try to figure out how it got here so I can find the Warpgate back to my universe...World...Back home okay? So talking about using that lightning or whatever, it sounds awesome like I said before, but if I'm wrong about this I really don't feel like I'd be happy with randomly shocking whatever's in there. So maybe we confirm it with our eyes first or something?"
Dorian Pavus     Dorian notes Yuna's arrival and offers a smile. "Hello there," he greets. A look to the young fellow in the gakuran. "I believe it was this gentleman," he says helpfully. "Something about water creatures."

He regards All-Seeing Eye's arrival with a raised eyebrow. The introduction is give by Eye, and Dorian follows suit, with a bow. "Dorian of House Pavus, Altus mage of the Tevinter Imperium. How do you do?" It's a posh-sounding accent this one has, to match his impeccable grooming, as pointed out by All-Seeing Eye. In fact, once Eye comments on the efficiency of just zapping the whole thing, Dorian smiles. "Ah, pragmatism. So often lost in these days of young heroes and saviors of worlds."

The ruckus made by some of the approaching Flotilla memebers gets a raised eyebrow from Dorian. Particularly that of Biteblade. Dorian's been in the Multiverse long enough that a group of multiple people with what he'd consider to be animal features is not going to surprise him unduly. However, as George -- presumably the one human in the group -- beckons him over, he approaches.

Thankfully he's also been in the Multiverse long enough to pick up a basic understanding of what he'd consider advanced technology! George's offer gets a nod. "If we're to be going underwater--" He suppresses a shiver at the words "--I may need some assistance on that score, yes. I'm afraid my world has not figured out water-breathing as of yet."

Touta's mention that it could be someone pulling a prank gets a smirk. "If so, they'd get a 'shocking' surprise, wouldn't they?" he quips. Oh he is most definitely the kind of person to do something like that. He's not a fan of pranks. Like, at '''all'''. Unless someone deserves them. But yes.

Touta introduces himself and Dorian dips his head in greeting. He'd introduced himself a moment ago, so he assumes Touta heard. The assessment gets a nod. "Admittedly, I do agree. As much as I tend to shoot first and ask questions later." Odd phrasing, considering he doesn't appear to have a gun on his person. "If it comes down to it, we escape and kill everything dangerous down there. Elites tend to be fairly good at that sort of thing."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna tends to consider it a good thing when there are other familiar faces in responding to a situation - and there's no shortage of those today. She recognizes Dorian after thinking a little, and All-Seeing Eye is, if not *as* familiar, at least somebody she's seen and fought alongside. As for the Flotilla, it's Seft who recognizes her before Yuna can dredge up names, but Yuna grins and waves to the mechanical Starbounder, her memory jogged as she mentions IFO. "Guess it *has* been that long, huh? Time really does fly - I've been so busy working on _Star Ship Shoujo_ ... it's going pretty well, though!"

Introductions are briefly put on the back burner as Touta gathers their attention and introduces himself, explaining why he put out the request for help. The battlesuited blonde girl listens, nodding ... and once Touta's done, she does what she should have done earlier:

Introduce herself. "I'm Yuna Kagurazaka," she cheerily states her name, "but you can just call me 'Yuna' instead of worrying about the long family name."

Then her attention shifts to how to approach the question of the 'lake,' and she surveys the water's surface with pursed lips. "Mmmm ... Just dropping lightning or whatever into the water might not resolve the 'threat' off-hand," she admits. "More likely, whatever's alive in the water, we'd at least make it really, *really* unhappy with us, so at least going for a swim and looking around is probably in order first. That's the only way we'll really be able to tell if there's an underwater warpgate, too," she points out. "Also, if it's the kind of prank that leaves people terrified for their lives, it's not a really good prank, is it?"

With that said, Yuna walks right up to the water's edge. "Marina, you're up. Elner, stick close once we submerge, okay?" she asks her 'support team'; the reddish-orange and white android walks most of the way to Yuna, then goes translucent, 'phasing' around Yuna's form - then vanishing entirely. A wireframe appears around Yuna, outlining a shape akin to a mermaid, and then pieces of another suit of armor start appearing and interconnecting. By the time the process is complete, that mermaid-shape is defined not by a wireframe but by actual armor, and Yuna balances (not perfectly) on the flexed tail. "I can take point," Yuna offers, her voice altered just a little by the clear, transparent 'bubble' of a helmet which surrounds her head and neck - ensuring that she'll be able to breathe while submerged.
All-Seeing Eye "Well-met, Citizen," says the Exalt cheerfully, in response to Touta's introduction. He's met Yuna before, and he's at least heard the Flotilla on the radio (though seeing the colorful crew in person is quite the surprise).

"Be my guest," offers the Exalt to Yuna. He's got no problem letting her take point, although he knows his craftsmanship is superior. Best to have a little insurance, in case others can't make the cut. It's nothing to be ashamed of! He extends a hand, holding it before his right eye. It rolls out of the socket, an obvious prosthetic sliding into the place it occupied. The eye in his hand then stands upright on bundles of artificial optic nerves.

"You want to confirm its intent is hostile first," says Eye with a knowing smile. He kneels, and his eye crawls off of his extended hand, trundling like a spider towards the lake. It dips beneath the surface, disappearing with a little ripple. Once submerged, the optic nerves propel it much in the same way an octopus uses its tentacles. Above the surface, All-Seeing Eye smiles confidently. Folding both hands behind his back, he offers an explanation.

"My Mobile Sensory Drone can assist with that task! Tell me, darling, what am I looking for, exactly?~" His tone is a little absent, as if he's preoccupied with something else. Perhaps the drone requires manual control? His brow furrows slightly, a faint sign of concentration apparent on his face. If so, he's probably not used to maneuvering it underwater. That said, his chipper demeanor still shines through, especially when Dorian makes his little pun.

"Oh-ho! Mr. Dorian! I'm unaccustomed to such urbanity from sorcerers."
Starbound Flotilla     "Well, good thing you called out when we were in earshot, kiddo." George shouts over to Touta, while he's unfolding some big piece of machinery he's deployed. "We're great at survival gear! So that people can survive, under the water. Let's get stuff set up, peeps!" Pavo moves to help him, and he waves Dorian over to a particular position. "Stand right here, smile, and say 'cheese'. Either this one's my 'reverse gravity' one or it's my 'oxygen nanoskin' one, I'll admit I didn't actually read the label much." If Dorian Pavus has complied, George's machine, some kind of weird industrial thing that looks like a sort of projector with a big lever on the side, will shove an energy field around him, contoured to his body, that shimmers a shining red for a few seconds before fading. "That ought'a let you breathe underwater, in space, or buried alive, for about eight hours or so. Talk to your doctor if you experience having a choke because it ain't my fault if you do! Anyone else need it? Touta?" He makes the same offer to the vampire. And to anyone else really!

"Okay, Floran will ssstop hug /for now/." Biteblade says, and then taps control modules wired to her weird messy savage-armor. Starting up her own oxygen EPP, she dives in first. "Okay! Find big monssster, sssee if bad, and try to find Gate if isss from vampire friend world! Time for huuuuuuuuuuunt!!" She seems to have gotten the rough picture, and she -- and many of the other Flotilla members, it looks like -- have armed up and begun to submerge, heading along with All-Seeing Eye's drone, and in formation with Yuna.

Seft begins to ping sonar into the lake, seeing if she can find any large, mobile entities that match Touta's description provided on the radio earlier, and make a straight beeline right for the creature if they can find it.
Touta Konoe Touta can definitely agree with Dorian that it definitely would be 'shocking' though even he's not sure he's alright with zapping kids for playing pranks. Maybe kicking their asses a bit (which since he looks like a kid too he could probably get away with pretty easily) but not magical induced lightning, that just seems unfair.

Now in regards to plans Touta was fine just waiting for this thing to surface out of the water, but it appears as though the newly introduced Yuna has already taken it upon herself to be proactive in the search for this creature. Having no idea what kind of Mahou Shoujo magic she and those robots just performed, all he can do is blink at her new mermaid like appearence as she prepares to go into the water.

What really throws him off though is as the long black-haired individual pulls out his eye...And then starts crawling away! He has a cyborg friend back in his world but he's pretty sure he can't do that, so it leaves Touta astonished for a moment before collecting himself to answer Eye's question.

"Oh right, so this Seal is pretty big and fast. Looks almost like a reptile thing with big teeth, big arms, and a body that sort of extends into a tail like a snake or something. Truth be told I don't know how fast that thing is underwater but it was at least able to keep up with me running away for it for bit before it got tired so probably should be careful."

As George mentions some sort of breathing nanoskin...Or Reverse Gravity...He should probably be a bit more concerned about that than he actually is, Touta literally waves his hand in the air eagerly to see this thing in action. It's less for the fact that he thinks he needs it than the reason he just wants to see how it works. "Yo, save some of that stuff for me!" He's incredibly eager to start shining even if only for a moment or so.

At this point though it appears those in the group begin to jump the gun a little ahead of Yuna who had wanted to take point. The droid appears to have submerged first before the rest of Flotilla followed suit with their equipment.

Upon getting closer to this improptu watering hole, It's clear to see how not clear the water is. It's definitely no crystal clear stream as trying to look to the bottom of this body of water feels like trying to look at the bottom of the ocean from it's surface. Tedious to say the least. The Flotilla's sonar equipment proves to be a fruitful investment to see say the least as they see a ping appear from below them in the darker depths of the water. It's rather fast , actually it's pretty freaking fast underwater. By the time they've taken notice of this thing on the sonar it's already moved closer to the submerged group. While the Flotilla's are likely the first ones to detect it's presence it'll be Eye's droid that confirms the first visual of the monstrosity. While it was indeed fast underwater what was more surprising was it's decent size that seemed unproportional to the speed that it was going at. Which this droid was going to have to deal with because it looked like it was being offered a one way trip into this Seal's stomach!
Dorian Pavus     "Excellent points," Dorian replies to the ones Yuna raises in her reply. "Like as not, we'd merely get whatever it is angry and it would come out to complain about its very rude neighbors. And by 'complain' I mean 'attempt to maim, kill, or eat'." He knows all about sod's law.

There is a bit of an unnerved response to All-Seeing Eye taking out that right eye and it skittering away like a spider. Dorian steps back a bit. Though he does recognize, "That's a handy talent." As to urbanity in a sorcerer? Dorian chuckles. "With Tevinter mages, that's what you generally find. Though the urbanity is usually also hiding a brutal, vicious interior. It's just prettier if all that barbaricness is neatly tucked away until needed."

He pauses a bit, as George waves him over to a specific place. He'll stand there, yes. He winces a bit, hoping that George HASN'T grabbed the wrong device. Fortunately it seems he hasn't. The energy field is considered before it fades away. "Thank you. I don't suppose it will keep fire from being put out underwater?" Probably not, but he can ask.

The reason is that underwater, his magical attack means will be drastically cut. Fire would go out. Ice would freeze the whole way between himself and his target. Lightning could hurt them all, and even if it doesn't, would disperse in the water too much to be of use when it reached the target. Only his necromancy and spirit magics will be of much use here. And he can swat things pretty hard with that staff.

He hasn't gotten into the water just yet, but it probably won't be long 'till he figures out that something's headed this way. The headsup over the radio is enough to tell, and Dorian acts. He doesn't know exactly where it is, but he knows it's 'in the lake'. That's a small enough area to do something.

That something would be necromancy! The feeling of something dark rising in his soul may be notable to those who can sense such things. He raises the staff over his head, clasped in both hands, those hands shining a white-outlined black-and-purple. And then, as he slams the end of the staff against the ground again, a large skull made of black smoke, with blue-white eyes, may rise from the area of the lake.

Should everything go as planned, the spell Dorian just used should terrify the creature, temporarily. That should give them all time to get into the lake and see what's going on.
Yuna Kagurazaka Between All-Seeing Eye sending his eye into the water (without the rest of him, yet) and the Flotilla charging right in, Yuna goes from 'taking point' to 'bringing up the rear' to a certain extent. That doesn't seem to faze her, though - she just 'jumps' with her armor's tail and dives right in, with Elner vanishing into the water fairly close behind her.

The excessive murkiness of the water means that Yuna's own eyes aren't going to be a whole lot of good; fortunately, Elner's sensors are somewhat less impaired. Only 'somewhat' - but every little bit helps. Yuna is a little sidetracked by what Touta just said about the 'Seal' that they're looking for ... which doesn't sound anything like a seal, really. And then information starts coming in - All-Seeing Eye reports that his 'drone' was just munched on by whatever it is, which is enough to make *Yuna's* skin crawl just on general principle. "Elner," she calls out, "I need a direction ... !"

Hopefully the little robo-faerie can point Yuna in the right direction, but it's already fairly clear to the blonde that this isn't going to be a simple matter of asking whoever- or whatever-this-is to please stop terrifying visitors to the oasis. She gets a partial glimpse of what Dorian's doing with his magic - just enough of a look to be REALLY glad he isn't casting that spell against her! - and then readies the Matrix Divider, gathering a focused blast of concussive hard light ...

And just letting it fly at the Seal's approximate center of mass. If she had a clearer sense of what she was aiming at, she might be able to go for something more sensitive, but she'll settle for just getting an initial hit in. Hopefully it's not dodging around as much while Dorian's spell does its thing ...
All-Seeing Eye VIDEO FEED TERMINATED

"Predatory intent confirmed," says the Exalt cheerfully. With faux contempt, he adds, "The brute ate my darling little drone!" Yes, separated from its owner, the drone has extremely little in the way of self-defense, especially against ravenous, giant predators.

All-Seeing Eye, on the other hand, finds this to be wonderful news, despite his affectations of outrage. He remains above the surface, for it's here that he can press his advantage. His right arm is raised, pointed towards the water, and his vision penetrates the mass of water in search of the creature. Its intent has been proven, which makes it a threat to average citizens near this oasis. That means it must be terminated, of course. Eye approaches the water. If his optical enhancements allow him to pierce the surface deep enough to make visual contact, he'll fire the integrated repeating crossbow hidden beneath his sleeve.

DEDICATED HARMONIC TARGETING ACTIVATED

The bolt dematerializes into a fine blue mist, traveling at full speed through the water. Unburdened by such pesky notions as fluid dynamics, the bolt rematerializes just before striking the 'seal.' The Exalt's targeting reticule had been focused over the creature's neck--but given the startling speed and immense mass of the creature, where it actually hits, or if it hits at all, is anyone's guess.

The only observation one could make with certainty is that he and Yuna have very different ideas about conflict resolution.
Starbound Flotilla     Sadly, Dorian will have to make due with fire matters on his own; the Flotilla's technology may be substantial, but they can't manage that. Maybe if they got a whole lot of /magnesium/, and... No no no, of course not.

"Incoming contact! Star 3, Star 5, go to engage!"
"Determined. Right!"
"Time for HUUUUNNNNT!!"
"Star 4, Star 6, grapple direct!"
"Aye, matey!"
"God, why am I always on grapple duty? Fuckin' sucks."
"Star 2, with me!"
"With pleasure, Mr. Petrov."

The Flotilla springs into action. Biteblade and Seft surge forward through the water, heavy boots clomping through the sandy lakefloor. Biteblade draws a pair of daggers and puts them into bracing stances, and Seft hoists a heavy tower shield, and they both rush right for the creature's face! Timing it just right with Dorian Pavus' fear induction, they're trying to tank the creature's rush and disorient it alongside the fear, making it rush in an animalistic panic, hopefully.

Meanwhile, George surges low to the left, and Pavo surges high to the right with a mighty leap, and both fire grappling guns, trying to latch them into the body of the beast like a pair of reins, and then tug them so it'll guide the creature towards the shore, shouting urgently and coordinating how they're going to guide it!

Meanwhile, Albert and Moonfin launch into action. Moonfin, as a fishman, has a little better mobility here, swimming deftly. Albert doesn't have to move, he's working at a longer range. The pair have kept track of All-Seeing Eye's position, as well as that of Yuna, and both work together. Albert draws and begins to fire a massive heavy-weapons autocannon, trying to force the creature to slow down, or give it relief time to speed up, just enough to leave it well in All-Seeing Eye's sights. Moonfin, meanwhile, does his best to rush in and deliver a powerful sweeping katana strike quickly across the creature's body and force it into Yuna's concussive shot.

The whole effort is meant to pull the creature into a state of panic or fury, and then force it onto the shore where the combatants will have a greater advantage!
Touta Konoe Touta can't say he's had good experiences with Necromancers. It's a long story that he should definitely bring up if he ever has the time, but for now he's more concerned about what's going on under water. He follows everyone's example as he dives in hoping that the Flotilla's nanoskin is as effective as they were advertising it to be. Which thankfully it does. He doesn't even really know how to describe the sensation right now but he can only assume it's not magical in nature otherwise Touta might be have been screwed before he even realized it.

Dorian's spell is the first to land it's mark on the creature. Though before anyone has the opportunity to see whether it will flee or not, the Flotilla's have already organized a plan of action to aid the others in landing their shots. The shield smashes into the face of the creature as planned, causing the creature quite some discomfort but with its mass and momentum the Flotillas might find themselves being the ones being pushed back if only for a moment. With the grappling guns holding it in position, the heavy guns get an opportunity to fire into the creature. But before they can analyze how effective the shots are Moonfin's blade is already attempted to filet the creature which seems to be potent as it cries out in the water. It's at this point Yuna's attack follows suit with the Hard Light attack conjured by her Matrix Divider. even without the assistance of the Flotillas it is likely she would have gotten a clean hit in at the creature, but with them it's a guarantee. The only issue is that by firing at it's center of mass...She's fired at bulk of mass with concussive force. It does appear to reel the creature back a considerable amount but to whether it gave significant damage to the creature is a bit more difficult to tell.

Eye's arrow is next. While being out of the water would make the shot more difficult especially in regards to aiming for a creature's neck, the Flotilla's have made it easier for their comrades by dealing with the movements of the creature for all intents and purposes. The blue mist changes back into an arrow and lodges into the neck of the creature, though similar to Yuna's attack the dense amount of muscle proves to make it more tedious for the piercing arrow to get through its skin.

At this point the creature appears to be wounded all over, with it struggling to resist the pull of the grappling guns attempting to hoist it back onto land. Though in this panicked state it appears more prone to flailing than actually fighting...

And then it happens. The creature lets out a horrific noise that can be heard even from out of the water's depths by Eye. In it's fear induced state and impending danger the creature has let out a cry for help, and help it would receive. The Flotilla's sonar would begin pinging once more. one addition ping was coming from below...No two...Four? Six?! Yes, six more pings had appeared on the radar and they were coming in fast!

Touta already being familiar with these creatures, and hearing the sonar go off from the distance is already flailing about in the water, urging everyone to get to the surface as fast as possible. If they have to drop the grappling guns to do so, he'd highly recommend it cause he's already swimming back up to the surface. He remembers how annoying these things were on the surface! He doesn't want to have to deal with them underwater!!!
Dorian Pavus     After his spell took effect, Dorian gets into the water as well. Hesitantly, mind, since he's not especially a strong swimmer. He knows the basics. By the time he gets in, that creature's shrieking in a way that can only be a call for help. Seft confirms it over the radio, and Dorian nods. ('Calling for comrades, eh? Let's see how they deal with this, then...')

Sickly blue smoke begins to surround his hands, and Dorian swings his staff forward slowly, underhand, towards the creature. An indigo-blue ball of energy shoots towards the creature -- it's a spirit drawn from the Fade. Very simple, low-key attack yes... but if it hits its mark, that energy will start draining the already-injured creature's health.

This might be even MORE beneficial if this energy drain happens to kill the creature. Because then, the spirit will try to take over the creature's deceased body. And this time it'll be on THEIR side!

Mind you, either way, Dorian is getting the hell out of that lake. Because he does not want to become a bite-sized mini mage muffin!
Yuna Kagurazaka The Seal's roar, howl, shriek, or whatever you'd call it is almost loud enough to stun Yuna into immobility, and/or deafen her. Fortunately, the Light Suit is good enough to protect her from the latter outcome - and as for the former, well, she *does* have a well-honed fight-or-flight response.

At the moment, it's pegged hard on the 'flight' side of the scale - and the only thing which keeps her own scream from rivaling the Seal's insofar as her allies are concerned is the fact that Elner, conscientious as always, simply mutes Yuna's outgoing radio signal so that said scream isn't conducted straight into everyone's ears.

That's not going to do her much good when there's every chance of the others hearing her scream through the water itself, but Yuna's not really thinking about that as she turns and barrels straight up towards the surface, breaching hard enough to launch into the air. Erina swoops in, and Marine Form disengages just in time for the purple-and-white armored figure to take Marina's place, Erina's now-translucent form phasing over Yuna and beginning the conversion to Flight Form. *That* transformation takes just long enough for Yuna to collect herself again (and she stopped screaming, too), but she's still gasping rapidly as the Matrix Divider rematerializes.

It's a testament to Yuna's self-control that she doesn't simply succumb to panic fire. Rather, her gaze and her aim sweep across the water's surface, the Matrix Divider's barrel/blade crackling to life as she starts gathering power for an even more potent shot than the one she let loose with earlier ...
All-Seeing Eye A direct hit, but one hindered by the thick, natural hide this creature possesses. No great concern! With his marksmanship, he can easily compensate for such things. His internal targeting suite begins calculating the next attack, but two things give him pause. The first is the effectiveness of Moonfin's weapon. It appears lacerations are more effective than piercing attacks. The second is the startled cry that the creature makes--one doesn't need enhanced hearing like his to know what that means.

It means they can deal with the entire infestation at once, of course! With a pleased smile, the Exalt retracts his crossbow and leaps backwards, nimbly turning over midair and landing a few feet away from the lake's shore. A flick of his wrist sees a braided steel cable slipping free of his sleeve. When something big and menacing is in pursuit, the idea is to be faster. Talented though he may be, the Exalt does have to admit that other Elites aren't entirely without their skills--he trusts their competence is sufficient to be faster than the aforementioned big menace.

He waits, knowing that once his allies are free of the water, the creatures won't be far behind. As soon as the first seal's head breaks the surface of the lake, that steel cable snaps like lightning, lashing out in an effort to slash the creature's eyes and blind it. Aside from the obvious tactical advantage, he's hoping the others will see his attack first and focus on him. There's seven of them, after all, which means one for each of his whips!
Starbound Flotilla "Warning. More of them are coming!"
"Tally seven! Blind! Pull to surface, scram!"
"Such a thoroughly disrupted ecosystem!"
"Aye, and plenty of teeth too! Let's keep focus on the little picture!"
"Ghhh, hell, wrangling just one of these things is impossible!"
"Go to sssurface! Floran riiiiiiide!!"

The gang pulls back as best they can. Aside Biteblade, it seems. While the gang have been battered back -- Seft, particularly, sustained some heavy smashing from that charging creature! -- Biteblade seems to have braced her daggers, and tries to plunge them into the central creature's body and RIDE its pursuit up to shore! Assuming, of course, that the groups pursue them.

George and Pavo do their best to yank the creature a little with their grappling hooks, but if no progress comes, they ditch them in hopes that the creature's panic and probable anger guides it to them regardless. Albert and Moonfin are thankfully less battered, and Moonfin seems proud of what has happened. "Friends, strike with a sharp edge if you can!" He calls out, encouraging the others to use a strategy that seems to be a winning one. "Their flesh seems ill-suited for such wounds!"

They all kind of rush and stumble out of the water blearily. And, one hopes, at least a few seconds before the rush of enemies coming up! Albert has set up his own ranged weapons to fire scything flechettes, while the others have drawn their own blades, if they have them. George doesn't. Dammit, George.
Mairead Sandilands     Another has arrived here altough a little late here as the others and she blinks as she lands silently and mutters, "I should of seen if I could have used one of the kits from the Hikari Defense Alliance," she comments as she looks aorudn the beach and thinks as she wonders, "I know I am at the right place," she adds with her scottish accent and sighs. "Now where the bloody hell is everyone?"
Touta Konoe As Eye prepares his cables hopefully he's making sure to hold his 'trigger finger' carefully for the first thing to arise out of the water is Yuna who responds to her fight or flight response inherently. While her screaming is silenced over the comms it's probably to say anyone who was above land at the time gets to hear the KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA of a terrified Yuna. Possibly?

In regards to the original creature caught by the Flotilla's grappling hook gives less and less resistance as the wounds given to it continue to accumulate. This includes Dorian's spell that continues to sap away at the creature's already fading strength. By the time the Flotilla's reach the shore, Eye and Mairead will get a gander at these creatures up close for the first time. At which point the cable would likely lash out the captured creatures eyes. It would be at this moment it would give out more one screech of agony before falling limp on the surface.

Now there was some good news and bad news for Eye and Dorian. The good news being that the creature had been downed successful by Eye and because of it had become a corpse puppet just as Dorian intended. Bad news was because it's eyes had been lashed out, how effective of a puppet it would be is debateable? There's more bad news for Dorian though...Because he focused more on his spell instead of on swimming back when he's the weakest swimmer of the group, he's easy pickings for the aquatic monsters to get to while still under the water.

It's at this moment Touta performs his first substantial contribution since this ordeal. "Grasp the water...Grasp the world!" He's honestly never attempted this technique while underwater but now seemed like a better time than any! Using a movement technique called Shundo, Touta's body blasted towards Dorian like a torpedo! Without stopping he grabbed onto the necromancer and continued their ascent from the water! The two would go pop out of the water and going on their continued momentum pop into their air just a little below Yuna who had been hovering above the water.

"GUYS DO IT NOW!!!"

It hopefully was self-implied at this point considering everyone was already armed to the teeth the moment they had reached land. Though only a moment after Touta shouts, the surface of the water is broken as the six remaining Seals simulatenously spring forth from the water in a frenzy and arrive on the land ready to pounce on any and all members of their group after hearing the dying scream of their pack member!
Dorian Pavus     It's true. Dorian is not a stellar swimmer. And he'd been so concerned with trying to leave a 'present' for the arriving pack of creatures that he's set to be the last one out. That is... if he makes it -- a glorified doggy paddle isn't getting him out of the creatures' range any time soon.

Now, see... Dorian's not one of those guys that'll call himself a hero. He's not going to swear that fear isn't something he experiences. He experiences it a lot, in fact. That's healthy. And one of those times he experiences fear is now, with one of these creatures' gaping, toothy maws zipping at him at a speed too quicky for him to dodge. He might even yelp a little -- though THAT part he'll deny.

Fortunately he doesn't have to know what it would be like inside one of these things' stomach, as he's suddenly grabbed and pulled out of the water. He emits a surprised grunt, but hangs on as best as he can, after so suddenly finding himself picked up. It takes him a few moments to realize he's airborne. And then in the next instant he realizes he's falling.

Close to the ground, Touta will find Dorian's form dissolving into an incredibly cold, blue-white mist. The mist zips to the side briefly, before reforming into Dorian, who wobbles a bit. Momentum redirection is rather disorienting! However, he does straighten up, and offers a thumbs-up to Touta. "Thank you!" he calls out.

And Dorian's ready to do his part to try to assist. Winter isn't his best school of magic, but he's got some skill in it. Enough to possibly turn at least one of these things into a sitting duck, hopefully! A cold mist surrounds his claw-gauntleted hand, and as he raises that hand, he aims a freezing glyph right at the place wher eone of these creatures is coming out of the water.
All-Seeing Eye The Exalt needs no further bidding. Touta's imperative is like the opening of an animal's cage. Another whip slides free, this one coming from the sleeve opposite the other. The two steel cables leave trails in the sand as Eye breaks into a sprint, charging headfirst into the group of predators. Bending forward, his body dips as his hands plant firmly into the sand and propel him into the air.

Twirling through the air, he flips forwards, the two cables swirling around him like the petals of a flower. His feet hit the soft soil of the shore with a thud. A fluid, circular motion occurs in the Exalt's upper body, the motion similar to a wave. It travels down the length of each whip, sending both weapons swirling around him again, attempting to lacerate the entire crowd at once. At the apex of the motion, he leaps, turning his body horizontally to attack with /another/ two whips, these erupting from his ankles.

After his flurry, he lands once again on his feet. The Exalt pauses to fix his hair, contemptuously flicking it over his shoulder and cracking one of his whips in a challenge to the creatures. It's clear that he doesn't consider the creatures a threat, given that he's standing in the middle of them and not moving around much. In other words, he's wide open for an attack, or so it would seem. Though his ultraperipheral vision allows him to see them all at once, he hasn't accounted for their speed--or perhaps, simply thinks his talents are more than enough to manage it. Hopefully that arrogance doesn't come back to bite him.
Yuna Kagurazaka Jiina and Marina aren't exactly sitting idle or pulling out of the area; rather, they're getting their own weapons ready - a two-handed beam cannon for Jiina and something like a missile launcher for Marina. Moonfin's advice to use bladed weapons doesn't really dissuade them; Yuna hears it, and switches her grip on the Matrix Divider in preparation, but the rest of the Matrix of Light has beam weaponry rather than melee (where they have weaponry in the first place, that is) - they'll just have to do what they can, apparently.

Elner, of course, is as unflappable as you'd expect a little robotic faerie-thing to be, and simply advises Yuna, "Additional ally inbound, be careful not to get hit."

Yuna spares a glance at Elner, another glance at Mairead, and instead of ducking downwards, goes *up* to clear the IS pilot's fields of fire. And then the Seals are launching out of the water, into the air, and all Yuna can really think is, 'They're even uglier than I thought they were?!'

Not that she has time for much more extensive thinking. She double-checks allies' firing lines one more time and charges at the closest of the Seals; rather than shooting, she delivers the most massive slash she can, releasing the focused energy from her weapon to add punch to her attack. She doesn't *look* at the moment of her strike, but she can feel the initial resistance as the Matrix Divider makes contact, the energy around its business end 'shaping' into the necessary cutting edge - and the outwards flare erupting as she pulls the trigger mid-swing, blasting the wound further open even as she continues with that incision.

When the cut is done, Yuna is out of the way from where she was slashing ... and Jiina pulls her trigger first, beam cannon blasting into the freshly-carved wound. Marina is just a little slower, but a small barrage of microtorpedoes/missiles flies to dig even deeper into the Seal's wound before each of the tiny warheads detonates.

Yuna still isn't looking at her handiwork, unless that Seal somehow keeps posing a threat ....

But she'll have to find that out second-hand.
Mairead Sandilands     Blinking, Mairead hears the noise and jumps into the air as she she was not on the same place as Eye. Thinking, she comments something very simple, "Duck," to everyone here as she targets two of the creatures and the sound of something launching is heard as 20 missiles are seen flying for two of the creatures, 10 each.

As the missile launch, Mairead increases her speed and takes to the sky above everyone as she drops down int he middle of everyone countingas she beats the missiles to the scene. "Five...Four...Three...." she states to everyone as she smiles as two guns appear in her hands and they are not normal guns. The guns are dual gattling guns that look scary for someone Mairead's size."Sorry for being late," she adds."
Starbound Flotilla "Ready..."
"I'm not. You know I don't have a /sword/, right?"
"Hah! Told ye, matey, nothing better than a cutlass!"
"Alert. They are breaching the surface!"
"Floran here toooooo!!"
"Go!"
"Sixth Sea Hylotl Style: Tidal Force."

Biteblade is brought to the surface. Meanwhile, Moonfin draws a katana, Seft draws a battle-axe, Pavo draws her cutlass, and Albert readies his flechette cannon. And as the seals break the lake shore, the Flotilla descends on them instantly, six to match the six. Biteblade leaps away from her mount, and goes in for piercing attacks. Pavo jumps high, and begins to glide on a feathery trail before descending from a huge slash from above. Albert unloads his rapid-fire lacerating payload of dangerous munitions designed to cut and slice. Seft charges in with heaving strikes from her wide axe-head, charged with strange elemental energies. And Moonfin takes a deep breath, announces his technique, and charges in.

Dorian goes to freeze one! Boy I hope that's going to work, because Biteblade will slip on through the magic and strange energies, intending to close in hard with both daggers held wide, and with a laughing, cackling, screaming noise, immediately move in close to stab and slice. If the creature's resisted any of the cold, it'll have an easy chance to strike and smash her, but if it hasn't, Biteblade will just /dump/ damage straight into the body of the thing, going right for the spine, the throat, and every other vulnerable part she can identify, using her Power Daggers to try to dig deep and cut harshly.

Seft charges in, trying to work in tandem with Yuna here. She makes sure to pull in on the opposite side of Yuna's intended swing, rushing in for an attempt on a heavy shield bash and axe swing! Meant to stun and slow the thing for a setup, it also means she'll be tanking the brunt of counterattacking damage Yuna suffers. Thankfully, no matter how much damage she sustains, she'll have the good sense to back off when Jiina fires as well, pulling back with one more brutal axe-swing.

Arrogant men attract other arrogant men, and that's totally unrelated to why Moonfin is suddenly at All-Seeing Eye's back. He saw the man presenting an opportunity to the enemies, and became quite hopeful that All-Seeing Eye might act as a sort of bait to draw the foes in. His power-katana is still ready, and if they do close in, he's going to attempt a massive sweep, wide enough that it may his multiple targets, intended more as a counter-attack against a charge's opening than any sort of opening strike.

A volley of missiles from Mairead Sandilands. Albert shifts his fire to enhance her strikes, opening up on the creatures to create wounds for this airstrike to capitalize on, before they impact. He calls to the others ahead of time, thankfully getting them out of the way, just in time. George rushes in hard, bearing a pair of electrified gauntlets, intending to engage them right in the pouncing. He's likely to suffer some trampling, but even if he takes the battering, he goes for holds to keep the creatures in Mairead's gatling gun fire!
Touta Konoe You ever heard of the phrase, 'Shooting fish in a barrel'? Well this situation proves to be quite similar to that analogy. By having everyone evacuate the waters and move onto land, the creatures were forced out of their advantageous element and forced into what is essentially an impromptu ambush!

While having Dorian turn to mist throws Touta off for a second, but it does allow for Dorian to perform his ice magic to ensnare one of the creatures in ice, making it easy pickings for Biteblade's attack to connect unimpeded. Compared to BiteBlade's previous encounters in the water he finds it much easier to deal with this creature now as the cut to the throat puts an end this creature!

In regards to Yuna and Seft, their combination attack proves to be much more effective than Yuna's last attack, and this is with her essentially closing her eyes! The creature is cleaved through with the utmost ease as Yuna pulls the trigger to further expand the damage on her attack, but because she closes her eyes she may not realize that her attack could possible continue past the flesh of the creature and into Seft who was coming in on the opposite side. Thankfully, Sefta already intending to back out to let Jiina fire will hopefully avoid any crossfire amongst comrades, but it's hard to stay. On the bright side this one looks to bite the dust as well.

Now for our arrogant men. Eye makes quite a daring move to attempt taking down all of these creatures at once. Unfortunately his twirling repertoire of cables seems only capable enough to slash through a single creature at a time with the required force behind it to cleave through the flesh. This actually agitates quite a few of the creatures that hadn't already been cut down. The one most significantly mauled by his original attack appears to take the most offense to this though as it attempts to devour not just Eye's ...Eye but the entirety of his being. Though Eye does not have to fear reprecussion from this creature. He is the All-Seein Eye for a reason and his peripheral view shows him that the creature is fell right at his feet. That being said, while his attack is fast enough to deal with the first one that came his way, the second one follows up with little time for Eye to respond to even if he may see it coming. After all, even if his eyes are all-seeing his arms and legs have aren't all responding. Thankfully, Moonfin's in just the right position to cover Eye with his blade. Taking advantage of Eye as bait just as he intended to inorder to down the 4th remaining creature of the six. Well done you arrogant gentleman.

Mairead arriving a little late to the party takes it upon herself to pick up the slack by attempting to take down two of these Seals at once with a volley of missiles. Albert takes it upon himself to release his gunfire prior however to ensure that these missiles can do some heavy damage, hoping to down both of these two at once. The result is that while Albert's gunfire and Mairead's missiles seem to have devastated the last two with bullet wounds and immense burns they appear still reeling to fight!

Ultimately it comes down to George to hold the last two off from getting to Mairead so she can take them down with her gatling fire. As he rushes towards the last two he's able to hold one of them in place with the use of his gauntlets, even stunning it! However, these creatures are still significantly strong even on land and hoping to hold off two at once, especially for a single man was too much to ask for. There's now one loose that can tank her gunfire, she can choose to shoot it down but who knows what may happen to George if she doesn't finish his off? Well, thankfully they do have one last person to assist on that.
Touta Konoe "1000 fold!!!"

A shout comes from the sky from Touta. It's a relief he hadn't been blown to bits by those missiles, but he had still been airborne in fact he was reasonably high up...Or he should have been. In a moment's notice his trajectory changings from a slow arc descent into a heavy falling. The reason for this is because he had just gained 1000 kilograms of weight in a single moment, or well it was more appropriate to say his sword had gained 1000 kilograms in that moment altering his trajectory from a slow descent into a heavy missile like fall towards the Seal that had broken past George! At the speed of his fall along with the weight of his blade, the cut quickly decapitates the Seal that broke through before crashing into the ground with a thud. With no concern needed for the loose Seal, she could prioritize the final one that George was pinning down without having to worry about splitting her concentration which with a gatling gun could have possibly ended up hitting George in friendly fire. But that was irrelevant now...

The point was that all six of the Seals were taken down near simulatenously by the efforts of the group. Whether it was a clean win was up for debate, but it was definitely win to say the least.

Actually no it wasn't a clean win, the dust from the missiles had spread dirt and dust throughout the scene completely ruining Eye's shirt. Though to be fair, how he didn't get any blood on it was already a miracle in and of itself...
Dorian Pavus     Once he's sure all of the creatures are down, Dorian breathes a sigh of relief. He looks a little weary, his shoulders slumping. But only briefly; he squares his shoulders a moment later. To not show weakness is ingrained in him -- Tevinter is a bad place to show weakness.

But now that everything seems taken care of (hopefully), Dorian makes the visual circuit. "Is everyone all right?" he inquires. His attention had been taken up by seals, so he wasn't paying attention to everyone's condition. Now that he can concentrate, he can concern himself with it.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna holds position in mid-air for a moment or so even after the noise around her (that is, from the Seals) subsides. Then opens one eye. Then the other, finally starting to relax.

"Did we get all of them? Is anyone hurt?" she asks - although Dorian beat her to the punch a little with the latter question. She lets the Matrix Divider vanish, and flits over to Seft. "Are *you* okay? I didn't realize you were going to come in from that angle - I didn't hurt you at all, did I?" she frets.
Mairead Sandilands     Mairead blinks as the creatures do not drop, "Bloody hell," she states as she looks around, "I'll hold them off if ye all need to regroup," she states as she steps up and looks at the creatures. Thinking, the four pods move and turn in the four cardinal directions and she smiles as she levels the guns she has. Smiling, she looks as she places the position of the group on the map in her mind as she stands there."

Looking over at Dorian, she nods, "Aye, is everyone ok?" she adds as she moves her eyes around but is able to see in all directions at once due to the sensor of the IS and can process everything. Grinning she says nothing as she keeps watch.
All-Seeing Eye As the dust settles, Eye holds his pose. The four whips retract into the ports on his wrists and ankles. Thanks to Moonfin, he isn't seriously injured, although getting him to admit that out loud would be like pulling teeth. The thrill of combat fades, and he adopts a more relaxed stance. "The illustrious Moonfin," he notes without turning to face the Hylotl. "I'd hoped to see your swordsmanship in person--"

His flattery is promptly interrupted by his own perception of an awful stain upon his shirt. The Exalt huffs indignantly. "Mairead! Your--hmph." No, Eye, you're an officer of the Paladins, some decorum is expected of you. If she were only as skilled a marksman as he, she could've handled this without damage to his wardrobe. "Oh, I sincerely hope this will come out in the wash." Sigh. Not everyone can be as talented as he is. He'd had his outfit picked out and everything!

The Alchemical extends his hand, from which a handlebar promptly sprouts, unfolding in two, then rapidly unfolding until the same hoverbike from before appears beneath him. Stepping off of it, he leaves it 'parked' and begins patrolling the slain creatures. A crossbow bolt is fired at the head of each one, making sure they stay down with an unceremonious -thwip-. This he does with a sort of dispassionate frown, before returning to straddle the bike.

"It was my pleasure to assist you in this matter, Citizen Touta! I must be off to see about a replacement outfit. Ta~" With a spirited kick the bike's jets ignite, and, turning the throttle, the Exalt blasts off in the same direction he arrived from.
Mairead Sandilands     Mairead looks at Eye, "Sorry, I will replace the shirt if it is not able ot get clean," she says to him as she flies off. "I'll send him some money for the shirt after we are done here.
Starbound Flotilla "Call status."
"Dead eye-are-ell."
"Do not be difficult, George. I am alive, Mr. Petrov."
"Aye, ship's sailing fine here."
"Pained. I have... Suffered some battering damage. But I'll survive..."
"RRRRRAAAAH! FLORAN ISSS GREATESSST HUNTEEEERRRRR!!"
"Squad is safe, no casualties. Reconvene. Need to work on Warpgate access."

The Flotilla, in various states of battering and bruising, manage to reconvene to the shoreline and the staging area, and set about healing themselves. Moonfin, as he sheathes his sword, turns a smug look to All-Seeing Eye. "But of course, Warden, I would never deny any the opportunity to bear witness to the glory of the Seven Sea Styles."

"Dismissing. No no! It's okay, Ms. Kagurazaka, I'll be fine! This battering is from when the first seal tackled my shield." She says, making waving gestures and displaying a ^_^ expression on her visor. "Positive. Don't worry, our coordination can usually keep us out of lines of fire like that, you don't need to watch out for us."

"There! Floran isss hunt! Kill bad preymonssster!" Biteblade says, doing flexing motions atop the slain creature that she managed to help Dorian kill. And she'll probably need a little for the bruising, if Dorian's passing out heals or something like that! But first she bounds up to Touta. "Very cool fall kill! Heavy like meteor ssstrike! Bam!! Did find preymonssster from home? Isss gate to where you live? Floran could help build path to gate where not have to breathe underwater!"
Touta Konoe Mairead's scanners and the Flotillas sonar indicated no signs of any additional lifeforms for the moment. It was over.

Touta takes this moment to catch his breath. He remembers why it took a month to deal with these things now. In regards to dealing with the Seals it could be considered a successful mission, but...In regards to finding the Warpgate and heading to the other side, that was something else entirely. That could be dealt with another day though since the waters were now creature free. As long as they stayed that way crossing into the Warpgate hopefully wouldn't be too much of a problem. For now, Touta takes from everyone else's example and checks on those who had taken part in the fight starting with Eye who seemed incredibly eager to replace his wardrobe. He really wants to thank Eye considering he's one of the few people Touta had no idea about but still decided to help him anyway. Then he remembers something important...

"Wait, don't you want your ey-" But it was too late, he was already rolling. Touta takes a look around towards the Seals to find the first one. It wasn't hard to find since it still had the arrow in his throat. Taking his sword he cut open his guts and low and behold there was a certain eye looking droid still lingering there. Picking it up he can only think aloud, "Well, I know who I'm giving this to for Christmas."

Next was with Biteblade who besides complimenting his attack was even going as far as to help make a proper path to the Warpgate. "Thanks! Also yeah, if it's not too much trouble that'd be awesome. It'd definitely make it easier for the next time. You guys should definitely feel free to come with me the next time. We'll definitely get to check out my world then!" After taking a moment to make sure he gets The Flotilla's information should he need to contact them later on he has to check up on Mairead.

Out of everyone here the Scottish lass was the one he was closest too, so he was really glad to see she came. Just enough to tease her about it. "Not gonna lie, I didn't think you were going to show up for a bit when I mentioned that they sounded like the Lochness monster over the comms. Hehe, I'm glad you popped in, you really came in the nick of time too, Mairead. I'm going to check on the other two though real quick!" That's all he felt needed to be said to Mairead. He knew she was capable enough, especially after this. Though the next two, he did get a little concerned about.
Touta Konoe Heading over to Dorian he scratches his head slightly. Throughout the entirety of the mission he had contributed alot of support with his magic whether it was his fear spells or his ice, he had really been a team player so Touta pats him on the shoulder quickly. Though... "Thanks you really helped out there, and sorry about dragging you into the water. I didn't know you were such a bad swimmer." Touta could be incredibly gracious, but also incredibly blunt as well. "Hey, I hope you'll decide to help out the next time as well. Don't worry about swimming either, we'll see if those Flotilla guys can do something about that along with the breathing underwater thing." With that he pats Dorian on the shoulder one more time with appreciation.

And then lastly there was Yuna Kagurazaka. Huh, the most Japanese sounding person here. He should probably address her as such.

"Hey Kagurazaka-san, thanks again too you as well! I don't know what the heck those robot things are but they were crazy! So were you, all of you were! I know we just met but the next time we come out here you should come again too. It'll probably be less crazy next time. Probably anyway."

Kagurazaka Yuna...Kagurazaka...Why does that name sound so familiar? Kagurazaka...Kagurazaka...Doesn't he know a Kagurazaka...And then it hits him like a pile of bricks. He has to ask now, even if there's a slim chance of it being true

"Oi! Kagurazaka-san do you know anyone by the name Asun- Mairead, where you going?!"

Before he can finish speaking he can already see Mairead getting ready to fly off. "Wait, Mairead! Come back! I wanted to catch a ride with you! Maireaaaaaaad!!!!" And like that Touta Konoe runs into the sunset trying to catch up with his flying ride back home without much more to say.
