Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli dropped the princess of the moon on the ground, the bubble of water splashing around them. They... were under the ocean. In an air pocket, in an underwater castle of ice.

If the others were smart, they wouldn't come looking for her. Attacking Lapis here would be suicide.

She smiled and knelt down by the princess, reaching out to grip her shoulders. "Luna? Friend? Are you well? I am sorry if I was too rough. We needed to leave. I do hope you are not harmed," she said, smiling at her friend with an odd, crazed look.
Princess Luna      Once the water bubble popped and Luna was freed, she landed on her hands and knees, her mane and tail matted down from the water for a few moments before they start to flow as they usually do. Luna looks around, then at Lapis, before she slowly stands. "Lapis. I am unharmed. But, it was a bit rough. Art...art thou alright? Art thou aware that thy gem is...in the grip of something?" she says, wondering how lucid Lapis is and if she can be reasoned with at all.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked. She then moved forward and hugged her, tightly. "Oh, I am so thankful, Luna! I was afraid they had harmed you! I am sorry for the... rushed escape. I tried to make them leave. I tried. But they wouldn't listen. None of them would. That's what they are. It's what they do. No matter what you say, they ignore you. They just keep yelling and screaming. They try to capture you, imprison you. But I won't let them. I won't let them!" She said, shaking her head.

"It's okay, Luna, you don't have to be afraid ever again."
Princess Luna      Luna blinks in surprise at the sudden hug, then slowly wraps her arms around Lapis and hugs just as tightly. Now truly fearful for her friend, she hugs for what is probably longer than necessary. "Lapis..." It seems Lapis is too far gone for logical thought to apply. Luna considers her options as she holds the hug and rubs Lapis's back. Then blinks again as she looks down at Lapis's gem. She loosens the hug a bit as she reaches slowly to that gem, wondering if she might be able to get rid of this...parasite, or whatever it is that has Lapis. "Lapis. Do you remember what thou hast done? Why those good people came to try and capture thee?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "They are not good. There's no good. I've seen, don't you understand? There's nowhere safe in the multiverse. The only way to protect myself, to protect all of us, is to create a place we can be safe. To destroy anything and everything that will threaten us. Otherwise they'll keep coming, they'll--"

The moment her gem was touched she shoved, tendrils of ice lancing out to grab and drag the princess against the room, then freeze her in ice. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! DO NO TOUCH OUR GEM!"
Princess Luna      Princess Luna lets out a yelp as she is slammed against the wall and lets out a worried sound as she is frozen in place. "I am concerned about thee, Lapis! Thou art so worried about protecting me and thy other friends that thou art not protecting thyself! Something has happened to thee! Thou art not well!" She takes a few deep breaths, then smiles gently. "Lapis...we are safe here. It would be most difficult for anyone to reach us here. Please, try to relax. I only touched thy gem because I wished to touch thee. Thy true self, locked within thy gem and whatever creature has captured thee. Thou must know that I would never harm thee. Thou art my best friend. Is it not right that I should want to protect thee just as thou wishes to protect me?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli stared for a few moments. Then, slowly, her hand lowered. The ice receeded and she was dropped back to the ground. "Very... well. Do not touch my gem," she said firmly. "I... I do not wish to be popped again," she said through ground teeth. She gave a little shake and shuddered.

"I.... I am fine. I am fine. I will keep you safe. I promise. And. And we will leave here. We will go through the portal and find somewhere new. I promise. Somewhere we can both be safe. I promise. Just.... please. Wait." She walked forward and took her hand. "No one will ever, ever seal us away again. No one will trap us. No one. Ever ever ever ever."
Princess Luna      Princess Luna grunts as she lands unsteadily, then stands up straight again. "Popped?" Luna asks, confused. "Did someone pop thee recently?" she asks as Lapis moves closer. As Lapis takes her hand, Luna gives Lapis's hand a reassuring squeeze. "Of course not. Because we art good people with good friends. Even if somehow we were sealed away, our friends would find us." she says. She then takes Lapis's other hand and entwines her fingers with Lapis's, smiling softly to her troubled friend. "Lapis...hast thou noticed that thy color has darkened? Art thou trying a new appearance? It does not look bad, but I think I prefer the lighter, more friendly blue." she says as she holds Lapis's hands.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli froze then. Her hands were gripped and she stared, letting herself be pulled along. Then... "No.... they don't. No one ever finds you. No one ever comes for you. You get popped and... and attacked and alone and... and no one comes. No one saves you. You spend thousands of years in a mirror, and no one cares. No one. Friends don't save you. None of them do. But... but I will. I will keep you safe. From everyone. I won't allow anyone to come near you ever, ever again. I will keep you safe. I will keep you all safe. Forever and ever. Don't you see, Luna? I'm doing what's best. What I should have done ages ago. And... if.... if they try to stop me... then... I'll destroy them all."
Princess Luna      Luna gets a very worried look at that, but does not release Lapis's hands. "But Lapis...if thou dost such things...then thou shalt be imprisoning thy friends and harming their friends. I cannot imagine thou wishes to harm thy friends, or thy friends' friends. And, thou art imprisoning thyself as well." she says, then gives Lapis's hands a gentle squeeze again. "Please Lapis. Thou didst not have friends at that time, didst thou? How can thy friends help thee if thou hast no friends? And...didst thou not just state that thou wouldst stop anyone who attempted to imprison thee or myself? Lapis...thou must stop thyself. Before it is too late."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli stared, a look of confusion on her face. "I..." she whispered, staring at her. "Luna... I..." she whispered. For a moment there was a flicker of recognition in her eyes. "Imprisoning... my.... friends?" she asked.

She then tried to pull her hand back,. "NO! I'm trying to protect you! I'm trying to protect all of you! Can't you see? Why can't you see? I just want to keep everyone safe!"
Princess Luna      Luna does not let go just yet! "I know, Lapis! Thou art only trying to protect thy friends! But, think of thy friends! Would they be happy at the bottom of the ocean, locked within a castle of ice! It is thy mirror all over again, except thou art imprisoning thyself! Try to think, Lapis! Try to see through the fog in thy mind! The creature upon they gem is clouding thy judgement!" She finally does release Lapis's hands and then just stays where she is, not wanting to upset Lapis any further. "I care for thee, Lapis. I do not wish to see thee hurt..."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli yanked her hands free. She stared at the girl, quivering. "Luna... I don't... I..." she whispered. She closed her eyes. Had the words finally gotten through to her? Did she understand?

She turned and lowered her eyes. "You're right, Luna. They will never accept being imprisoned like this. None of you will. It is just like the mirror..."

She was silent for a long moment. "It is clear. Once I have rescued all of you, I will destroy all others." She held up a hand, water rising up into her palm. "They are only mortal. We are not. Then we can be together, forever. And we'll be free. Thank you, Luna."
Princess Luna      Luna can only stare as she hears that last part. "Wh-...what? No, Lapis, that is not what I meant! Thou must stop this!" Luna's horn starts to glow, and she thrusts out a hand to form a bubble around Lapis this time. It is not a water bubble of course, but more like a force field bubble. "I am sorry Lapis, but I cannot allow thee to endanger others, much less because of me. If thou dost not stop this, I shall be forced to restrain thee and call for help."

Once the bubble is formed, Luna tries to hold Lapis in place as she tries to cast another spell. Using her dream magic she might be able to alert others to her position. If she can get into the head of someone sleeping within her range...perhaps someone in the disaster relief camps. "...please, if thou art able to hear me...thou must send help. We are deep under the ocean in a castle much like the one that was seen on the bay."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli froze, her eyes widening. "Luna? Luna, what are you doing?!" she cried, touching the forcefield. Then... her eyes narrowed, turning black. "You... as well? Luna? Even you betray me? You're just like the others..." She lifted her hand up and the water around the room began to pool and gather.

"I WILL NOT BE IMPRISONED!" The water lashed out, attempting to bind up, then slam the princess down before turning to ice.
Princess Luna      Luna looks around in a bit of panic, then back at Lapis. "I fear thou shalt suffer a worse fate if thou dost not stop! I am trying to protect thee, just as thou art trying to protect me-eeek!" Luna is picked up by the water, then lets out a pained cry as she is slammed down before the water turns to ice, trapping Luna again. The force bubble shatters when Luna is slammed down, and Luna struggles against the ice for a few moments before she is locked down, just her head still exposed making it impossible for her to aim her horn at the ice. "If thou cannot regain control over thyself...I fear thou might be popped again...or even shattered..." Luna says weakly, her eyes tearing up. "Please Lapis. Please, stop this. If thou can stop thyself now, the others will understand. Thou shalt not be imprisoned by anyone, including thyself or that parasite upon thy gem."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli hmphed and turned, the water flowing over her mouth and covering it. She walked over and knelt down besides her. "Shhhhhh," she whispered. "It's going to be okay. I promise. I will destroy them all, Luna. I will wipe out all life on this planet... then the next... and the next... eventually it will just be you and I and the others. And we will be safe. Forever. For now... just rest. I know you non-gems need it." Then covered her entirely in ice and got up. It didn't encase her quite as bad, soon, more wrapping her in a very, very, very thick egg of ice. But still trapping her.,
Princess Luna      Luna lets out a desperate 'mmph!' against the icy binding, then can do little more than listen as Lapis lays out her plan. She pleads with her eyes, but soon is fully encased again. Still, she keeps sending out her dream messages, hoping that someone will come...and wondering if anyone would bother with rescuing her, or bother trying to save Lapis.

     It certainly looks quite hopeless...
