Sombra     It's not hard to keep track of certain people. They don't know how to hide their tracks well enough, at least not for the people who really wish to find them. Perhaps it's because he's among the older generation, but Soldier 76? He really needs to hide his digital traces better. It's a good thing that there are no dangerous people after him. Besides her, that is.

For a hideout, it could certainly be better. Small and cosy for sure, but rather smelly Sombra would say as she inspects the place. There are better ways to keep it secure, and all it takes is just a few more up to date security items. You really can't teach an old dog new tricks, huh? The woman sits on the kitchen counter, waiting idly as she sips some coffee that she made from the old coffee maker here. Not the best coffee, but it's something at least. Even if she suspects that she won't be waiting for long now... Ah, there. Upon hearing approaching foot steps the hacker smirks for herself, then sets the empty coffee mug down, all while her thermoptic camouflage kicks in. It's better to be cautious, after all. Somebody like Jack is likely to shoot on sight upon realising that he's got intruders in this place. Which she knows he's bound to realise since she left the door open. Unseen, she moves into position, ready to act once the old soldier has entered and that paranoia isn't quite as high.
Soldier 76 Yeah, the door being open is a pretty dead give away that something is wrong. Jack enters the small apartment, his sidearm drawn and held close to his body, visor glowing as he scans for potential targets. Sombra's camoflage is one of the best on the aftermarket, and as advanced as Jack's visor is, it was designed to fight Omnics, not hackers.

Still he clears the first room of the apartment, and moves into the kitchen, finding the cup of coffee on the counter. A brief touch tells him it's hot, which means someone was here recently, or may still be here. "Enough games. If you're still in here, come out. You've already lost the element of surprise and I doubt you can take me or you would have tried already."
Sombra     A chuckle can be heard behind him, though there's still no sight of the intruder. Rather, a familiar voice can be heard, one that Jack has heard before. "That's right, I'm not here to take you on, old man. Rather, I'm here as a friend."

Foot steps echo behind Jack, though it's hard to tell just where the owner of the voice is just yet. "Promise me you won't shoot me...? It's a bit weird to talk to people like this. But I think you understand that a girl has to be careful, no?"
Soldier 76 As soon as the voice is heard, Jack turns around to face it, but still doesn't see anything. He narrows his eyes vehind the visor, and holds up the sidearm so she can clearly see it, before he tucks it back into the holster.

"I won't shoot you unless you give me a reason to, Sombra." He replies simply, as he picks up the coffee cup that was on the counter and holds it out towards where he assumes she is.
Sombra     Once the word has been given, a faint sound can be heard as the camouflage falls away, revealing Sombra standing right next to Jack, her hand already is reaching out to take the coffee cup from him. "Gracias." A clever smile plays at her lips, and she turns to move over to a chair that she sits down in, looking rather relaxed. Not to mention willing to trust that he won't shoot her in the back. "It's good that not all of you old soldiers are /that/ trigger happy," she adds, looking up at him over the rim of the cup.

"Especially since I'm here as a friend. You don't have many friends left, now do you... Jack?"

The cup is set aside on a table, and Sombra folds her hands. "Gabe certainly has been giving you a lot of trouble ever since we all stepped into the multiverse, hasn't he?"
Soldier 76 "Not that you have had nothing to do with his rampages, right?" Jack says, as he grabs another coffee mug and, after briefly checking inside it, pours a cup from the remaining coffee and takes off his mask, "I am highly doubtful of you being here out of the goodness of your heart, so I suppose I should ask what you want from me."

He raises the cup up and takes a drink from it, "I know you're not going to threaten to tell Reaper where I am, because you know I'll be gone before he gets here."
Sombra     That smirk only widens at Jack's initial question, and the hacker raises one eyebrow. That should be answer enough. But still, she does talk. "Please. Your friendship was messed up waaay before I even stepped into the picture. But then again, what happened back in Switzerland seems to haunt you both."

There are no obvious signs that Sombra has done anything to the coffee mug that Jack takes. When he pours himself a mug, Sombra points to her empty cup. "Mind filling mine up as well?" Be a good host now! She brewed the coffee for you.

As for why she's here now... "Do you really think I'm a completely bad person after what happened in Dorado?" she inquires curiously, her expression sincere. It's pretty obvious for most people that Sombra, whoever they thought she was, foiled LumériCo and helped the people of Dorado. And after how they handled the mayor? "Give me /some/ faith. But fine... what I want? Lots of things. For now it's best to help you stay alive. Because Gabe is rather upset about you 'getting off easy' compared to him."

Again Jack is right, and Sombra nods. "Sí. If I wanted him to find you, you'd be talking to the barrel of a shotgun now instead of me."
Soldier 76 The pot is grabbed and another cup is poured for her, before he sets it back in place, "It's the damnedest thing. He swears he didn't set off the bomb that took out the HQ. I know I didn't. He seems adamant that he didn't." Jack replies, "I can't convince him otherwise, so now I have to deal with his wrath."

He sips his coffee again, "Well I am very appreciative of people who want to keep me alive, as they seem few and far between. I take it something has happened that makes you want to stop him from killing me. He going off mission? Wouldn't be the first time."
Sombra     "Ah, seems like one of those situations where it's what you said versus what he said, huh?" Too bad that there's no surveillance left from then. It might have shed some light on the entire deal.

Reasons can be many, and Sombra isn't exactly the type to blabber about her reasoning for various things. Especially not to most people. "I have my reasons, but for now I think our goals overlap when it comes to your life. In return... I'd appreciate it if you didn't outright kill me in the field. A life for a life, huh... amigo?" She nods in thanks when he refills her coffee cup, then takes another sip. "I can appreciate Gabe wanting to kill you and all, but... you know him even better than I do, I suspect." Going off mission indeed... the situation in Numbani had been interesting. Even while they got the primary and secondary objectives of the mission done, Reaper had been focused on his fight with Jack. Nearly to the point where he didn't make it out.

"Also, I'd prefer if you keep this meeting between the two of us. You understand, right?"
Soldier 76 "Fair enough." Jack replies, as he finishes off his coffee, "I will stop you, if I catch you doing anything...But I will refrain from killing you. But only you. I catch any of those other Talon hombres out there and they won't be so lucky."
Sombra     It appears to be a reasonable agreement, as Sombra nods her head a bit, raising her mug slightly. "Deal. Feel free to make it seem that I managed to slip away if you want to keep up your reputation as a grumpy old man, Jack." Nothing is said about the fact that he intends to kill her fellow Talon agents should he run into them and manage to get the upper hand on them.

Her free hand moves to reach into her coat pocket, and then Sombra pulls out what appears to be a metallic bracelet. It's held out towards Jack, and Sombra cants her head a bit. "Here. Keep this on, and Death will find it harder to keep up with you," Sombra explains.
Soldier 76 Jack reachs out and takes the bracelet, putting it on his right wrist, and taking a moment to look at it, "You'll understand if I have some of my friends take a look at this to make sure it's not a tracker or anything, right?" He says, as he turns back towards Sombra, "For the sake of security."
Sombra     A wry smirk is the initial response that Sombra gives Jack, and she handwaves it. "Go ahead. Just know that if I really wanted to track you, I'd have my ways. Not that you're a hard person to keep an eye on," she says before she raises the coffee mug to her lips and downs the rest of the warm drink with a loud and drawn out sluuurp. "I suggest your friends don't remove anything within it though, or else I can't promise that it won't save you from Death." But fine, let his friends check it. There are no trackers inside it, no transmitters that would allow her to spy on him in any way.

For now though, matters have been dealt with, and Sombra stretches her legs where she sits before she rises up from her chair. "I'll keep in touch." With that said her translocator kicks into effect, and Sombra gives him a slight smirk as she dissolves into a lightshow of purple particles.

Outside on a roof some blocks away, the hacker materialises above her translocator, and she reaches down to pick it up. Sure, she got some payback for what Reaper did, but it's even better if she can get back at him without him knowing too. Also... if need be, perhaps this can be useful in other ways as well.
