Lyner Barsett      Phantom Cocoon - Outside

The place, familiar to some, is the same as it was. A giant white orb of super technology just sitting in the depths of the Cello Forest. The ruins of Karulu aren't too far away actually. Several miles out, but still. What's different this time is that the clearing before the cocoon is utterly ruined. There are chopped up bits of Antibodies littered all over. Their bodies abandoned by the hivemind, that is, Ar Ru's conscious control. Fallen trees and craters litter the ground as well. But who fought these things? Why is no one out here? At least Phonon or Sonnet should be out to greet them. But nope.

Lyner pads into the clearing, looking left and right at all the destruction. "Sweet Shurelia, what in seven blazes happened here?" A rhetorical question. He's not going to waste too much time trying to figure this out. "Looks like the Antibodies were stopped here..." Before he can make any further deductions though, a voice rings out. Echoing across the forest from within the giant white structure, along with a thundering quake that rocks the ground beneath their feet.

                          Souls held captive by sorrow;

                             Unending hate cries out.

Lyner frowns. "That's Ayla. If she's singing like that, there's a problem. We need to move. Now!" And without further ado, the Knight of Elemia, in full gear, breaks off into a dash for the entrance, passing through the white light and storming inside.

     It's time to move.
Kazusa Ujikane     Knowing that something's happening at the Phantom Cocoon is enough to spur Kazusa into hasty action already. But seeing what awaits when they arrive only makes it worse... and on top of that, hearing Ayla's song?

If anything, she's running before Lyner is. "AYLA! Ayla, we're on our way! Oh crap, oh crap oh crap, this is bad...!" It's the most (and most intense) running she's done in a very long time, and the only thing keeping her from folding like a house of cards is the adrenaline at this point.
Reina Kinney The Phantom Cocoon is very familiar to Reina, who's been here in the past, and the fact that everything seems to have gone to hell and back really makes her suspicious. She bites her lower lip and shakes her head. "What the Falz happened here?" She wonders aloud, knowing that no one else would know but wanting to voice her opinions aloud. She attempts to look at what Lyner's looking at, but stops abruptly as the voice rings out across the forest and then the quake occurs. "What the hell? An earthquake?!"

A pause as Lyner identifies the singer and states there's a problem, and Reina scowls with a look of determination. "If she's in trouble, then it's up to us to save her! Let's go!" She immediately takes off running behind Lyner, her body pumping full of adrenaline as she runs, all while silently hoping that they'll be able to save Ayla from whatever the problem is. "We're coming! Just hold on!" She mutters to herself.
William Pauwel The last time Will was here, he carried a half-dead girl out of giant clockwork robot. The last time he was here, he made a promise to bring her out of her shell, to see the world.

Now, when he arrives, the outside of that strange, globular shell is littered by the shattered remains of entities made solely to kill.

And that song, that song he never wanted to hear sung again, is echoing through the air.

"Damnit, move!" Will roars as he surges up into the egg... Astride a familiar motorcycle. He's going at top speed, as fast as his wheels can carry him. "I knew I should have been down here! I knew someone should've been watching her! Damnit, damnit, damnit!"
Yuna Kagurazaka If being on Ar Ciel wasn't normally enough for Yuna to be in her Light Suit, and the distress signal (garbled as it is) hadn't put her in combat mode in its own right, the sound of Ayla's song WOULD have been Yuna's cue to transform. "Elner, with me; the rest of the Matrix, stay out here and keep watch, be ready to come in if I need an alternate form!" Yuna orders the Matrix of Light, and the three androids spread out around the Cocoon.

In a way, the sight of the mauled Antibodies is *almost* a relief to Yuna: *somebody* can do that to them, wihch means Ar Ciel retains a chance at survival - or rather, the people who live here do. Still, there's no trace of what *did* fight and massacre Antibodies ... or how many Antibodies were involved in the fight and *weren't* slaughtered.

There are a lot of questions which are individually disturbing. It's probably just as well for Yuna that she's not thinking very hard about how the questions might combine with each other.
Moonlit Saber The Phantom Cocoon is not a place Saber has been before... much to her chagrin, considering how much her Master seems familiar with it. She can hear that song, and although the meaning is lost on her, it's not hard to tell from the others' reactions that it's not a good sign.

Wasting no time, Saber rests one hand on the hilts of her swords as she takes off running, easily keeping pace alongside her Master. "Kazusa." Green eyes glance to the side briefly as her voice lowers. "Have you had the opportunity to load new cards?" There's an unspoken question there: will the Beast be making an appearance today?
Lyner Barsett      With Will blazing a trail ahead, and Kazusa not too far behind, everyone else comes dashing into the sterile white foyer of the facility. It's utterly empty and devoid of life. No one lives here. No one but one person and two robots. The floor quakes again and they move. Into the nearest chamber further in. It's there that they come upon a familiar and disheartening sight.

More Antibodies, slashed apart and scattered throughout the chamber. Their golden remnants mar the pure white of the surroundings. But even more than that, there is someone slumped down to the ground at the very end, leaned against the wall that had a doorway leading further in. Black hair, red vest, and black armor marks this young man as Luke Faelan. The one who was there during the Phantom Cocoon incidents months ago. He's bloodied and breathing incredibly slowly, a broken energy lance laid beside him.

"Oh crap- That's...!" Lyner runs over and kneels down to check the guy. In the process, Luke lifts his head, one eye shut from the blood blinding it. He looks to Lyner, and then the others, and smirks. "Took your... damn time..." And right then, that voice rings out still, continuing to sing.

Emerging from a forest of doubt, let us go on to illuminate this world!

Luke slowly glances aside, and then shakes his head. "There's...no time. ...Go." He takes a deep breath. "...Soma... Soma is here... Phonon... and Sonnet...aren't... go to...the garden..." At that point, he just abruptly wavers into unconsciousness. Lyner mutters a curse and checks his vitals. "He's... still alive." And he stands. "Come on!" He breaks off into a run again, proceeding inwards. "Garden...Garden... I don't remember a garden, damn it!" He growls as he makes a mad dash into the depths of the facility.

The fact we can embrace despair is proof that we haven't given up.

Once we overcome loneliness, we can trust one another... so don't let go of these bonds we share!

Lyner frowns deeply. "We didn't save you to make you sing like that again, Ayla..."
Kazusa Ujikane     Saber gets only the briefest side glance, and a faint nod. Both to the spoken question, and the unspoken one. This will probably be one of 'those' fights.

But Will is here, and Will has the fastest conveyance. So not long after his arrival, he'll hear the girl shout. "WILL! Hey, Will, wait! Wait up, let me on!" It's rare to hear her so deeply worried, absolutely rare. If he slows down enough for her to catch up, she'll immediately climb on without so much as a word. She's sure Saber can keep up as a Servant.

Either way, though, they reach Luke, and the first sight of him has her heart sinking. "This... th-this is bad," she murmurs. Even though he's unconscious, the wounded warrior gets a brief look, and a muttered, "...don't you dare die, alright?" That's all she has time for, though. All THEY have time for. Lyner has the right idea. "We gotta find it, c'mon, let's go...!"
Deelel Deelel has been here the entire time as she keeps with the group and Will is just being a trailblazer for lack of a better term and iwth KAzusa there's not much need for her to get in on that for the moment. She's already summoned her keyblade and moves along as she takes note of the antibodioes she wishes to be on the safe side here and she notices someone is hurt bad she may be able to help.

"I know him..."

Deelel pauses for a moment she doesn't know what she can do to help other than move to focus what she can of her healing abilities ot try and patch him up enough so a full on healer or medical sort can do something for him she should at least prevent death by bleedout, or so she hopes.
Yuna Kagurazaka They invaded the Cocoon.

The Antibodies managed, somehow, to invade the Phantom Cocoon itself. They made it *inside*, at least this far.

"Do *any* of you have a way to heal his wounds?" Yuna calls out to the others. Lyner's already gone charging ahead - you'd think SOMEbody would have a first-aid kit, healing spells, potions, *some*thing to help pull Luke back from the edge of death's doorstep. And then Deelel tends to exactly that.

"Thank you, Deelel!" Yuna calls out in relief. It's something, at least. As for the garden that Luke mentioned - well, Ayla is still singing. If she can hear anyone else, then maybe she can guide them. Yuna closes her eyes for a moment, focusing on her hearing, and trying to get some sense of direction from that. If that's a wash, she'll just set off in pursuit of Lyner.

Either way, though, she's not just running (or jogging). She's also singing.

o/~    Now a shooting star flies across the night sky
If you see it, what will you wish for?
The promise we exchanged when you started your journey
Is always in my heart ...

Admittedly, running and singing at the same time is a *hard* combination, even with Yuna's less-than-impressive physique assisted by the Light Suit's enhancements to speed and strength. It doesn't do much for her lung capacity, but she manages - somehow - to balance the two, even as she focuses on how much she wants to see and help Ayla. Maybe this isn't the best song for that, but she can't think of better off the top of her head ...
Reina Kinney Upon spotting the injured person, Reina runs over and kneels down to check on him along with Lyner and she frowns a little bit. "He should be OK, he's just out cold." She stands up and scowls even more. "But whatever did this... I doubt they're going to be up for settling this via civil conversation." She watches as Deelel attempts to apply healing to Luke, and she gets an idea.

Once Deelel is finished, Reina walks over and kneels down, placing her hand atop Luke before calling out, "RESTA!" A magical light appears around Reina and Luke, the healing aura focusing mainly on Luke. It's not going to bring him back good as new, but it should stop the bleeding and stabilize him. "It's a TECHNIC just about every GUARDIAN should know," Reina explains as she stands up again. "It stimulates the molecular makeup to heal injuries to the body. Kinda weird, but I dunno."

Once again, Reina cracks her knuckles and takes off along with the others. "We're gonna find who's behind this and make them pay!" She says through gritted teeth.
Moonlit Saber There's a frown in response to that nod, then a soft sigh. One of these days, Saber will convince her Master to sue up the Beast sooner, rather than saving it for last when it might not be optimal. "Just warn me before you plan on using it, Kazusa."

Saber can certainly keep up with the motorcycle, at least for short distances. She could even carry Kazusa... but that's not quite as dignified for either of them. Besides, there are other things to worry about. "This man..." Saber is not at all familiar with medical treatment of any kind, so she hands back and lets Lyner see to him. Though at least the man -looks- like he's still alive. "An unknown garden..." Lyner, she's sure, knows this place far better than she does, so Saber remains near him and Kazusa. "I feel like there is little I can do to help in actually tracking where we should go..."
William Pauwel Fortunately, Luke isn't too injured. Or rather, he is, but there are enough people on hand to stabilize him. Will... Will has his eyes further ahead. The Chaser cusses softly under his breath as he's told that Soma's beat them here, but he pauses for just long enough to let Kazusa onboard. "We're going on ahead," Will calls, his motorcycle still going at full speed despite the fact that he's currently indoors and leaving skidmarks all over the place. "Garden... Where's the garden...?"

If they follow the sound of her voice... Won't they reach her sooner, rather than later?
Lyner Barsett      Deelel steps in to help keep Luke from passing on to the other side. Good. Because if no one had done anything, he just might have. Her healing keeps him in this world, though he's probably not going to wake up for a while. So he's no help. Doing this much though, and managing to break through the jamming and contact the others was job done enough.

And now they head further in, and Ayla's song getsless and less echo-y and more present. That garden is nearby, isn't it? In response to Yuna's singing, Ayla's own words seem to grow stronger, knowing that help is here.

Amid the blinding weight of hope, we hold an unyielding passion.

Our feelings will become new light, again and again... until these lives expire!

They turn a corner, desh through a long hallway, and then take another turn before finally... finally, they arrive.

It's a lush green garden, littered with all manner of flowers and plantlife. It's like a little pocket of nature was cultivated within the cocoon for the express purpose of having something beautiful to look at. But that beauty is marred by what's taking place now. A girl in a white dress with long black hair, a cruel looking scythe in hand, strides forward. From where everyone is, they see things from the side. The girl, Soma, is calmly walking forward, arm a blur as she slashes apart a number of laser beams from a mostly destroyed Phonon, and a hald destroyed Sonnet. Both robots are missing limbs, have holes and deep slashes cleaved into their frames.

     By the time backup arrives, they are treated to the sight of Soma deflecting a desperate combo of multiple weapons from Sonnet, only to spin and slash the gynoid into two pieces. The cleaved halves of the robot land in the grass some distance away, and a warbling voice utters. "H e h e . . . m i s s i o n . . . f a i l e d . . . s h u t t i n g . . . d o w n . . ." Soma pays no mind to this and dives forward at the only thing keeping her from assassinating Ayla; Phonon.

She's got no arms, one leg, and only two laser bits left. Her calm demeanor is ever present, though she has a frown on her face. She fires lasers from her two bits, watching the Will of the Planet effortlessly weave and dodge through them, and then...

     Schwing.

Soma is on one side of Phonon, whose body emits sparks before falling into another heap of two halves, her bits falling to the ground without commands after.

The raven haired girl spares no time. She doesn't even look at those dashing in. She goes right for the singing Reyvateil.

That which reflects in our eyes... isn't all there is to be seen. So look closely

We can fly amid the sky that lives within our hear-HRGHK!

Ayla's eyes shoot open, and she shakily looks down. Soma's scythe is embedded into her chest, and going out the back. Blood quickly starts streaming out from her lips, and her chest wound.

Soma's gaze is cold and steely and she speaks. "Your song won't save you or this world."

     SCHWING

She slices aside, cleaving her weapon out of Ayla in a manner than can only be called brutal. "Ahhghk...!" She falls aside into the grass, dead on contact, and Soma swings her scythe, splattering excess blood into the flowers below. It's only then, that she looks off at the arrivals.

     "Oh. You were here."

"...... ........ ......." Lyner stares in horror, mouth opening and closing as he tries to make sense of this situation. "You...... .....Soma.... that...."
Yuna Kagurazaka "Ayla -- !!" Yuna calls out, abandoning her song and pouring on the speed as she sees Sonnet down, Phonon cleft in twain -

The scythe bites deep into the Reyvateil's torso.

Yuna skids to a halt.

The scythe is ripped free.

"AYLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yuna's scream resounds with horror, anguish, grief, and shock, each one of those emotions so deep that they *should* leave Yuna on her knees at the very least. But somehow, the Savior of Light remains standing, sparks of light flickering over her armor as Yuna's chest heaves. "You ...."

Her gaze slowly shifts to Soma. "You ... why .... ?" Yuna moans. "Why did you - what does this gain you ... ?!"

More sparks flare back and forth, as if the Light Suit is starting to destabilize. Not as though its energies were depleted, though ...

Entirely the opposite.

A few tears are trickling down Yuna's cheeks as she stares at Soma, aghast at the murder that the group wasn't fast enough to prevent. More than Sonnet's deactivation or Phonon's bisection, it's Ayla's death that strikes Yuna to the heart. Not that the two defense gynoids were of no value to Yuna, but she didn't feel quite the depth of bond with either of them that she did with the Reyvateil, short as their acquaintance may have been.

Another crackling flare of stray power rises from Yuna's battlesuit, briefly wrapping all the way around her before the arc snaps and diffuses, punctuated by a shuddering inhalation as Yuna bows her head, her bangs hanging down far enough to hide her eyes, and her hands slowly clenching into tight fists - her knuckles would be as white as her gloves are, it seems.
Reina Kinney As soon as Reina gets there, she spots Ayla and Soma, and her first instinct is to try to stop Soma from attacking Ayla, but before she can even blink, the scythe impales Ayla. All Reina can do is stare with her mouth hanging open, eyes widened, her breath baited as time seems to slow to a halt as Reina watches the poor girl collapse onto the ground, dead. For a moment, there is nothing from Reina as her brain struggles to process what just happened now, almost like she refuses to believe that it truly happened and that this is just a bad dream. But it's no dream and it's not an illusion. Ayla was just murdered by Soma.

"A-Ayla..." Reina finally gets out, before her breathing becomes rapid, almost a mixture of panic and disbelief, before she collapses to the ground onto her knees and she cries out, "AYLA!" Holding her temples as she cries out, before she bends forwards and punches the ground in despair and frustration. "No... I... I can't believe it..."

Reina's breathing becomes heavy and faster somewhat, trying to convince herself to accept the fact that Ayla is now dead. But there is no acceptance from Reina as the tears stream down her cheeks, a truly rare sight for someone like Reina. "N..no... no!" She growls a little before forcing herself back onto her feet, a fierce scowl like no other on her face as her teeth are bared and gritted. She stares at Soma for a moment, saying nothing but letting the anger on her face show just how she feels about what happened right now.

"Y...you... you..." Reina pants a few more times before she screams out, "YOU FALZING MONSTER!" The worst Gurhalian curse word she can think of at the moment. "You don't know what kind of trouble you've just made for yourself, killing her like that! You're a Falzing son of a De Rol Le!" Tears continue to stream down her cheeks, but they're of anger, not sadness. "You're going to PAY for this!!" She snaps the fingers on her right hand, and her sword materializes, the blade a yellowish beam of energy. "You're going to pay IN SPADES!!"
William Pauwel Will's heart pounds in his chest. He feels the blood surge hot through his veins, pouding like thunder against the inside of his skull. His eardrums feel like they're going to pop. His eyes feel like they're burning out through his face.

"Hey, y'all're Ayla, right? Well, I'm Will. William Pauwel. And out there are all my friends-- a crazy brave robot named X, a strange girl named Sanary. Kazusa and Misha, they're the singers. Deelel and Reina, I don't know too well-- and Lyner and Yuna, they're real honest to goodness heroes. And we're all here to bring you home."

He watches that scythe tear through Sonnet like a knife through butter. His breath catches as Phonon is cut clean in two. The scythe moves again.

"And no matter what you think, it IS possible. You can go back if you want to. You can come with us if you like. It's been so long since you fell in here, that you probably don't remember what it's like to be outside, to see the world. But you hear them, don't you? Even if you don't want to. All them voices, all of them're singing for you."

He sees.

The blade.

Move.

"Hey, let me tell you something. Something my grandpa used to tell me. If you say something's impossible, then it really will be. But if you believe-- if you bet on that little chance that things can work out, then they just might."

Ayla is cut into. Her song stops. Soma speaks.

"And if they don't work out, and everything in the world goes dark, that's what friends're for. That's when they help you help yourself up, get back on your feet, and try again. That's what we're here to do, 'cause we reckoned that it was unfair that you never even got that chance! I won't say you'll never be hurt. I won't say nobody'll ever make you cry. But the world is so big. Bigger than anyone can even think about! It's full of so many good things, too. And I like to think there's more good than bad. So come on, give us-- give yourself that chance! Let us show you the world! Come and walk with us, way beyond this cramped little cocoon!"

He sees her fall.

"So let's go!"

He watches her die.

to that place where freedom lives! Take my hand!"

Will's gun.

Turns blood red.

"SOOOOOOOOMAAAAAAAA!" There's wrath in his voice. Anger beyond anything anyone here would have ever before seen from the young Chaser. Judgment's light has shifted, gone is the bright blue. In its place the colors of fire, of destruction. The light of the flame that castigates the land, purges all sin, that turns the guilty to ash.

Mode Change Confirmed - Flare Burst

Will levels the weapon. He fires, a tremendous arc of heat that feels as though one is standing in the very heart of the sun leaps from the barrel of his gun. Two, three, four, five shots. Each one expertly aimed. Each one conveying just one, single purpose.

To kill.

To take this manifestation of nature herself-- and to turn her into meaningless, lifeless ash.
Kazusa Ujikane     It's a horrid, terrible sight. The height of cruelty. A rush to the rescue, a mad dash to save a girl who wanted to make amends, who wanted to set things right- and they only get there just in time to be too late.

Later, Kazusa won't be able to recall when she got off the bike. Or how. "W... why... I-I don't... I don't get it, why..." She probably won't remember her steps carrying her forward, heedless of the danger in that scythe. "Y-you... you keep saying you're here... to cleanse humanity for its mistakes. You're... you're supposed to be the world's will. So why... why won't you let us /FIX IT/?!"

Those footsteps finally stop, Kazusa's shoulders shaking quietly. "...that should be what you want, shouldn't it?! I don't get it! You're here to punish humanity for its mistakes and you're the world's will, but they're not allowed to try and fix their mistakes, to try to save the world? That should be exactly what you want out of them! But you're not letting them! Y-you're... you're not some high and mighty... you're not some... you're not some special authority or anything like that. You're just a murderer, you're just someone looking for an excuse to kill everyone. That's... that's not fair. That's not fair. THAT'S NOT /FAIR/! ...by the card I choose, I stand as a hero."

Saber will get a brief glance. And then there's an extra flow of prana. A wordless 'don't hold back'.

Later, Kazusa won't be able to remember when she pulled the card out of her purse. She probably won't be able to remember anything. But those present will probably be able to remember very vividly, the moment when Kazusa Ujikane felt that, for once, it was exactly the card to use.

                                 "The Beast."

Sparks erupt from the card, passing over Kazusa in a wave, leaving behind browns. Yellows. Lighter hair turns to a more rich, golden blonde. Golden eyes shift to violet... then fade to an alarming crimson. The blonde hair seems to catch fire, as perfect replicas of Ember Celica lock into place around her gauntlets.

With a furious howl, heedless of everything, heedless of the firepower her friends are hurling where she's about to be, the transformed Kazusa hurls herself at Soma in an attempt to smash her apart with a furious, unrelenting barrage of fists.
Moonlit Saber They're too late. Saber can only stare in horror as the two robots and the Reyvateil are cut down. "This..." She closes her eyes briefly, hand gripping the hilt of Kusanagi. As her eyes open, they flash a cooler green, and her kimono shifts into its more decorated version. With a mouth set into a thin line, her voice is low and calm. "You would kill for something like this... You.."

Pause.

Oh, it's happening already. Saber glances aside to her Master, but this time doesn't try to stop her... not that she could. "...I will back you up, Master." With the others flying into a rage, Saber is forced to keep a cool head, no matter how upset she might be over what she just saw happen. Rather than charging in, she lifts Kusanagi and slashes smoothely through the air, sending a gust of wind sweeping on either side of Kazusa and forming a brief barrier of swirling air behind Soma to try to minimize her movement.
Deelel Deelel is glad to have Reina lend a hand she doesn't expect Luke to be back in the fight but he should be out of danger of dying from his injuries. She may be a bit over come though should they get jumped the singing makes her sad sheknowmusic has power, it's why she exists after all in the end.The Cocoon is in danger and that does scare her once Yuna gets to singing she's feeling a bit in better spirits.

She now moves on with the rest of the party.

"Time to get moving."

wuth that she goes and they hit the gardren and she looks about trying to get a feel for it and the music? The music contiunes to be a thing it effects her heavily for good or ill on this world.

"...Soma?!"
Lyner Barsett      Phonon, Sonnet, and Ayla Es Sotiris are all gone.

Their killer stands there, with a bored, half lidded look in her eyes. She regards all of this anguish, despair, and utter hatred with only the most nonplussed of looks. "Why?" She repeats the question, as if it were the most simple thing in the world. "What this gains me..." She looks down and aside at Ayla'ss fallen form, then upwards to the fascmile of a sky contained within this chamber. "...The Demise of Ar Ciel." Her eyes close. "The end to everything." Her head lowers, eyes opening. Then her gaze returns to the group. Will's roar of anger resounds through the once tranquil garden, now stained with blood and oil. Reina gets a passing glance as she levels her weapon and promises to return this injustice in multitudes. And Kazusa. Kazusa speaks.

"Humanity's fate was decided long ago." She says in the most simple of tones. She's not gloating over this successful assassination. She's not grinning and cackling. She's... empty. "Suzunomiya and Saki might believe in your potential... But I don't." She turns, facing the full wrath of all present. "As far as I care, your chances at redemption have run out. This is payment for the Seven Bloodstains."

Kazusa activates the Beast and charges in. Soma doesn't move. She stays completely still and meets the transformed girl head on. Fists fly in a furious blur, and the Will of the Planet matches that blur blow for blow. Sparks fly as the raven haired girl in the white dress swings that cruel lifestealing scythe, expression blank as she duels the berserker. The barrier of air intended to keep her from moving isn't even considered. Simply because she doesn't actually step back in the least.

Meanwhile, the Solano goes from blue to red. And he fires. Five arms of brilliant prominence. Soma is too busy clashing with Kazusa to move. ...Or rather, she doesn't bother to evade. Assuming that the anguished girl cleared the area, those shots make impact, kicking up an explosion as dirt, grass, and flower petals whip up in the resulting gust as smoke forms, obscuring the area.

     ...Did that work?

     No.

Through the smoke, there's a gleam of red, and a sickly aura of darkness starts to emanate, growing larger and larger. Cutting through the smoke. Soma has one hand on her face, the red gleam of an eye shining through the darkness cloaking her. She takes one step forward. All of that rage turned upon her seeming to do little more than burn and tear her dress, and leaving bleeding scorches on her skin. How resiliant is this lady? "The Demise of Ar Ciel is unavoidable. The symphonic power is all but gone." Another step. "Your asinine Project Sotiris would never work. Another step is take and she lifts her scythe aside, the pulsing aura of black flowing off of it in what can only be called some kind off massive cleaver. It's large enough to sweep through the entire garden with a swing.

...And that's exactly what she does. Like a farmer slicing down grain, Soma swings, that corrupting chaos emanating from her form tearing through the air and aiming to cleave all. "Now move aside and let me purify this broken world. Just as Ciela wants it to be."

"No. ...No!" Lyner growls and draws his sword. But he doesn't do it to attack. He immediately defends. "You're wrong! This is all wrong! No one needed to die! We could have saved everyone!"
William Pauwel Impossibly, Soma shrugs off... Everything. All that they throw at her, she endures and looks little worse for wear. But Will doesn't stop. Even though she seemed to absorb damn near everything they threw at her, there's nothing to do but to keep going. That black wave scythes through the room, reaping soul and steel alike. Will...

Guns the engine.

The Mistral roars at it closes the distance, only for its engine to be immediately silenced by that terrible black blade, but Will... is already airborne. A thin grapnel races by Soma's ear and drags him forward as quickly as the Ancient motor can manage. He misses her by a narrow margin, rolls to his feet, then surges back in--

"Do you think we're just going to let you leave here? After what you did!?" Will howls, spitting vitriol. "I don't care about the damn project. I don't care what you say is possible or not! AND I SURE AS SHIT DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT!" The Solano's barrel glows, going from red to orange to white hot. Droplets of pure, barely constrained sunfire drip onto the grass, sublimating patches of earth into a mess of hydrocarbon fumes. "You killed her. You and your damn mission killed Ayla! Don't bother sayin' your prayers. There ain't no God that'll save your life now."

"Purify! Hell!" Will closes in as near as he can manage. If he can, he'll press that weapon right through the darkness, fighting through the pain and the burn, enduring all that he has to. He keeps going-- "What right do you have! You killed an innoent girl, and now you talk of purification!? I'll purify you! I'll scourge your shitstain of a life from this world!"

Will depresses the trigger.

The Solano disgorges a single shot, blinding in brightness. The might of the Ancients of another world mixes with the fury of a single, heartbroken boy, and becomes a blast of pure power.

Soma isn't the only Will here today.
Kazusa Ujikane     Kazusa does not, in fact, clear the area.

This proves to be a mistake.

The blasts from the Solano hit her as well, and she's engulfed. The dust clears, and she's just climbing to her feet. The wave of chaotic power blasts over her, leaving her bleeding, staggering backward.

In the next heartbeat, she's in Soma's face again.

Soma will discover something alarming, for that matter - her punches are hitting noticeably harder than before. Each parry will rattle that scythe, each block will jar the assassin's arms. And that's before she even begins firing Ember Celica's gauntlets off. The shotgun-like blasts add force to every blow, in a furious, roaring, unrelenting assault.

Then Will's blast washes over her again. She's blown clear. She gets up, badly burned, and lunges back in at Soma once again, heedless of her own injuries.

And now her punches are /again/ hitting harder than they just were.
Yuna Kagurazaka All around Yuna, her allies unleash their fury.

Reina's breakdown echoes Yuna's own, her sword at the ready.
William and the Solano activate a level of power that Yuna hasn't seen before, and begin blasting away at Soma.
Kazusa gives vent to a terrifying rage. Saber rallies to support her.
And Deelel, seemingly alone among their number, holds back.

Soma explains herself, with little regard for the wrath she's provoked from Lyner's allies, and is unmoved.

And the Light explodes around Yuna as the Savior of Light lets out a piercing cry, her battlesuit's aura blossoming into a sphere of power as Yuna charges. She's mindful enough of her allies to not get in their way - circling wide to come in on the other side from Kazusa's assault and Will's firepower, maybe consciously trying to catch Soma in a pincer, maybe just knowing that she shouldn't waste anyone else's attacks by getting in their way.

She doesn't conjure a weapon, doesn't shoot or slash - but by the same token, the punch that Yuna leads off is more lethal than any weapon at her disposal. Fueled by her burning grief for a precious life ended, amplified by the power entrusted to her by the Queen of Light, Yuna strikes with only one goal: to destroy an enemy of the Light, to execute a red-handed killer.

And that first punch is but the first of many. As long as Soma stands before her, Yuna will keep attacking, by punching or kicking or grappling, by whatever means are available - and despite her normal compassion, there is no trace of mercy or pity or reluctance in her assault.

Ayla is dead at Soma's hand.

There will be no mercy, no forgiveness, from Yuna Kagurazaka.
Reina Kinney Reina's breakdown... That's an understatement.

Right now Ryulikon, her MAG is bobbing up and down rapidly, almost like it knows that she's at maximum power and could easily unleash her Photon Blast, but she's choosing not to for the time being. Apparently she doesn't want to risk hurting her allies at all. Instead, she's gripping her sword and still scowling, teeth gritted like nobody's business. "You're mine!" She cries out as she rushes in.

With her sword at the ready, Reina slashes three times at Soma, attempting to show her just how angry she truly is via the power of her slashing techniques.
Moonlit Saber Saber has never liked seeing the Beast in action. It's not just the loss of control, but the lack of self-preservation. There's little that she can do about it now, save keep an eye out for anything truly bad, and be ready to help afterwards.

"Before we all vent our rage on her... which I can definitely understand... Perhaps we can try to -make- her talk." Shifting slightly, Saber swings her blade, sending another gust of wind. Though not easily visible, aside from the shifting of smoke, the blast of air flies upward, then down, trying to knock Soma in place or even pin her down. "There must be more to this than just slaughter."
Deelel Deelel is now just staring there in horrors. The killer is there she stares at them for a oment she sees Ayla is dead she sares longer and listen and some anger starts to biuld up in Deelel she was giving them a chance to explain for a moment.

"Very wel."

Deelel tone become mechanical without much emotion to it, it's kinda starrk really given how bubbling she normally is the Keyblade is held in hand and.

"All thins reach termination as a human might put it we're all ash in the end. To exist is to fight against that to the very end."

Then the Keyblade Warrior moves at high speed the weapon out in one hand and her ID disc in the other as she moves to attack with both Keyblade and Disc there isn't holding back at this point, not not with people she knew cubed right before her.
Lyner Barsett      Soma's scythe cleaves through space itself, and the darkness impacts with Lyner's blade. He manages to hold it! ...For a second. And then he's swept aside and sent rolling away. Oops.

     But that's not important.

Will is rushing in despite the danger, and soon enough, he's airborne. Soma would look but she's kind of busy. Kazusa just won't let up. She even took those shots head-on and got back up to blindly rush her again. Sparks fly once again from the clash of steel on steel. "Hm..." Is it her, or are those punches getting stronger? She has to expend even more effort to turn them aside. And that's a problem, because...

Will is firing like mad. Raining literal hellfire upon her. And with Saber's barrier, Kazusa's constant relentless assault, and it only grows more complicated when Yuna joins the fray. Now she's got *two* people letting loose flurries of fists at her. Powerful blows from all sides.

And yet still, Soma's expression doesn't change. She doesn't have pity or compassion. All she cares about is fulfilling her mission. Humanity was doomed from the very start. They can't be saved and they don't deserve a chance to live. The Will of the Planet, the Embodiment of Destruction, does not go down easy. Though she's forced to grip her scythe with both hands now, as she defends blow after blow.

All the way in the back, the only one, aside from Saber, who seems to not be lost to their wrath, is Lyner. He stands to his feet, sword gripped in one hand. "...... ......" His eyes close. "... What's the point anymore...?" There's a sigh, and he flips the grip of his blade, lightning crackling along it. Those eyes open. .... He can't do it. Even after everything that's happened, he can't dive in and attempt to kill Soma.

But he has no right to tell the others not to kill her either. He can only stand back and watch with a difficult expression and grit teeth. He looks to the remains of Phonon. Then the remains of Sonnet. And finally, Ayla's fallen body. "..... ....." That gaze goes back to the battle, and even still, he can't move.

Meanwhile, Soma finds her back attacked by Reina, who dives in after Will's shots. Given the explosive power of Kazusa's punches combined with Yuna's, she can't turn away. Those three slashes connect, followed by Deelel's own twin assault, and they cleave into her dress, drawing blood at her back, but not actually sinking deep into her. Just what is she made of?

It still hurts, as evidenced by a mild hiss. "Tch-" Her eyes narrow, and right then, a punch gets through. Kazusa's fist connects clean with her jaw, turning her head. At the same time, Yuna lands a kick to her midsection, and the two blows, combined with Saber's wind gust sends the Will of The Planet sailing through the air, until she lands onto the ground some distance away with a heavy thud and a mild gasp of pain.

At first, there's nothing. All is still.

But then, Soma pulls herself up, running a hand through her hair, blood smearing through it from all the damage. No doubt, Kazusa is coming for her again, so Soma just sighs and embeds her scythe into the ground, after a moment of thought. "According to my calculations... Ar Ru can finish the job."

A faint smile forms on the raven haired girl's face, and she spreads her arms, darkness billowing off of her even still. "Do it then. Kill me." That bored look never wavers. She never shows fear. Just a detatchment from everything in life. "Ciela's will, is already underway."

Lyner's eyes widen a bit. "What? ...Wait... wait a second! You don't get just get to ask us to kill you and exit the stage on your own! Hey!"
Kazusa Ujikane     Unfortunately for Lyner, this is where the downside to the power of The Beast comes in.

It's not that Kazusa is fulfilling Soma's request, per se. It would be more accurate to say that the request Soma makes is exactly along the lines of what Kazusa's mad rage demands she attempt anyway. There is an enemy before her. An object of hate, of fury. The mad, ferocious rage of her transformation demants that she keep trying to punch that enemy until they stop being.

So in she goes, hair blazing, eyes full of unthinking wrath.
William Pauwel The Solano burns with a hateful, red light. Will stands before the angry supernova that was his last shot. The fury pounds against the inside of his head, demanding the blood price be met. The red of tooth and claw must be satisfied, to the loss of all else. No price is too great.

Will turns his eyes. He stares down the barrel of his weapon at the girl, shrouded in darkness. Lyner's words make their way to his ears. His hand wraps tight around his weapon. He sucks in a breath.

"'You don't just get to... exit the stage on your own."

Will fires.

...At Kazusa.

"You know what? He's right. You /don't/ get to exit the stage on your own. You know why?" Will fires again. As many times as will be necessary to get this crazy girl to /stop./ "Because you're the Will of Survival of the Fittest, ain't you? Well. We proved we're Fitter than you. So you're going to help us Survive."

"And if you don't, I promise you, death is the easy way. We'll beat you into the ground as many times as we need to prove it to you."
Deelel The fightis now unerway. She is lost in heranger and griefand is focusing upon the machine asit were. Who knows how Deelel would take Flynn saying the Grid wasn't worth it that it should be reformatted he was neglectful not malicous when it came down to it.

She keeps going but Lyner not joining in registerd and that fiant fact does register and she pauses for half a second in her fury, wait did they say to kill them? Ten give them some more information?

They want to die? Wait they want to tia nd Will's words hits her like truck that she recoils mid killing blowwith her keyblade just bovering there she says nothing but it's clear Will's made her pause.
Moonlit Saber "She is no longer fighting back?" Even as her wind has an effect, Saber slowly lowers her sword. There's something wrong about this. She glances aside to Lyner and tilts her head slightly. "You do not wish her dead, despite what she has done?"

Closing her eyes again, Saber sheathes her blade. "You should talk to our allies. I will make an attempt..." Hands slap together, then slowly spread, and a glimmering mirror appears floating in the air between them. "Mirror of Wisdom, Yata no Kagami, come forth!" As she grips the edge of the mirror in one hand, Saber extends her other straight out. When she speaks, her voice carries with a slight reverberation, "Soma! Hear my question!" Green eyes focus sharply on the girl, her expression deathly serious. "Do you truly wish to die here? Tell me the true purpose behind your actions in this place!" While there's nothing compelling Soma to answer her truthfully, or even say anything at all, Saber focuses her prana through the mirror so she can at least better tell if whatever answer she gets is the truth or a lie.
Kazusa Ujikane     Until this moment, the bestial, furious animal that is Kazusa Ujikane had registered Will Pauwel as a friend. An ally. Someone to... well, alright, if he'd gotten in her way he'd probably have taken a punch to the jaw, but more in the vein of 'get out of my way' than 'kill you'.

That's why the next shot that hits her, hits her flat-out in the back, blows her forward, and drops her on her face. The one after that slams her in her back, amidst a howl of shocked, furious pain.

The third one hits nothing but empty dirt.

It's hard to believe she can move that fast with all those injuries - but she's drawing on Yang Xiao Long's capacity to grow stronger the more pain she takes, plus a mindless rage so deep she probably won't even feel the pain until her body simply stops responding to her commands. So in she comes at full speed, turning eyes full of murder on someone who's supposed to be a friend.

Will doesn't just get one swing, either. She's going to try to pound him apart.
Yuna Kagurazaka Ayla is dead by Soma's hand. That hasn't changed, and Yuna's wrath is, to all appearances, unabated - there is no trace of mercy in the eyes or the heart of the typically-compassionate girl.

But destroying Soma won't bring Ayla back. There's a corner of Yuna's mind which remembers this.

And then Soma just leaves herself wide, *wide* open, inviting her own demise. On top of which ... the group's offensive power is suddenly getting scattered.

Somewhere behind her vengeful fury, somewhere behind the rage and the sparse tears, what's left of Yuna's conscious mind as a witness to her own single-minded rampage takes stock of the situation. Ayla is dead and vengeance possesses Yuna's heart, but William -

He wants Soma to stay alive, at least a little longer. And trying to prevent Kazusa from delivering the deathblow has turned *her* lethal wrath against *Will*.

Yuna's already lost one friend tonight .... she's NOT going to lose another, especially at the hands of a friend. If there's time for her to swing one last blow at Soma - forceful enough to knock her unconscious, Will of the Planet or not - then Yuna does so. But the higher priority right now is to stop Kazusa from upping the fatality count on the wrong side of the scorecard.

So when Yuna finally comes to a halt, she's hugging Kazusa tightly from behind, her face buried in the card hero's shoulder, too close to punch effectively. The sphere of golden radiance around her is dissipating a little bit, but she's largely still in her 'overdrive' state ... for the moment, anyway. It's already wearing off with her digging her heels in against her own rage; a handful of heartbeats will see her power levels back under their normal limits.
Reina Kinney Meanwhile, Reina would be going after Soma, but she knows that GUARDIANS never leave anyone behind. And while William Pauwel may not be in the same faction as Reina, they are still working for the same purpose right now. Which is why Reina puts her feelings aside for the time being to help out William who's in a bit of trouble at the moment. "Hold on, I'm coming!" Reina exclaims as she rushes towards him, rubbing her hands together swiftly. She looks to Ryulikon and says, "I know, but we can't go after her now. I have to help him out!"

Once Reina reaches William, she kneels down and places her hand atop him and calls out, "RESTA!" A glowing light envelops William, causing his molecules to be stimulated into healing his wounds somewhat. It's not going to heal him completely, but it should stabilize him enough to be able to get back up while stopping any bleeding and causing the more serious pain to be removed.
William Pauwel Well.

Will was really counting on being able to just straight up knock Kazusa on her rump with those shots. He was certainly not expecting the Beast to be this... Unstoppable. The Chaser bites back a cuss only because he'd rather not bite off his tongue. Kazusa lands a series of blows, only just narrowly missing deadly shots by virtue of Will picking up a few lessons in How to Dodge. The Solano's barrel crackles with white lightning as he prepares to--

Wait. Yuna. And Reina. Healing magic and a magical girl restraining an already badly injured berserker. The Solano crackles with power regardless, "Damnit Kazusa. Just... Just stay down, okay? I don't want to have to hurt you anymore!"

If she were in a decent state of mind, she might recognize that light. It's that same stun-gun mode she and Will had used on Soma just a couple weeks ago.

He points it at her leg, and fires.

Hopefully it'll keep her from moving for long enough.
Lyner Barsett      Well.

Lyner blinks slowly as he witnesses Kazusa go in for the kill. ...And then Will start firing at her to get her to stop.

     "Uh-"

The lightning crackling along his sword fades away and he just sort of stands there, scratching a cheek with a finger. "...Well..."

Saber summons some sort of mirror and asks Soma questions, just as Will informs the reaper that she's not allowed to just die after all, confirming Lyner's statement.

Soma, for her part, just blinks slowly at all of these happenings. Her spread arms lower as she watches Kazusa being... well, subdued. It's not going well. She turns on him instead. Watching all of this placidly, the Planetary Will sighs, and then she just ignores it all and looks at Saber.

"My death doesn't matter. I've done my job, so what happens after isn't any concern." The first part registers as true. The second part registers as.... a lie? "And if you must know; the death of that girl halts Project Sotiris, and so, prevents anyone from going to Ar Ciel's surface. That's all there is to it." That's also the truth.

At this point, Lyner steps forward and sighs. "Will's right. Death is too easy. You're not going to die just because you ask us for it." He shakes his head. "I think we've proved our poi t, so- Buh?" Yuna clocks the open Soma with a punch to the jaw. Or at least, that's what it looks like. It definitely seemed like it connected, but to the trained eye, the raven haired girl actually stepped back with the strike, dampening it's unconsciousness-inducing power to just 'really smarts'. She still falls on her butt and she spits out a wad of blood. "It's rude to fall unconscious without answering what was addressed to me." ...This girl. But even so, she just kind of sits there, watching this clusterfuck as Kazusa has to be restrained by her allies, throwing this vengeance filled fight into disarray.

     What the hell?
Kazusa Ujikane     Yuna is basically trying to stop a freight train at this point; only the power of the Light Suit allows her to succeed, and even still the berserk card-user puts up a good fight. She screams with impotent rage, writhes and struggles within the idol's arms, but can't get any closer. That's about when Will tazes her in the leg. There's another, pained roar, and for a few seconds, she slumps in Yuna's arms, twitching...

Then drives her elbow back into Yuna's ribs. Hard. And then again. And again. And with a sudden burst of strength, pushes herself free, and lunges... straight at Soma.

On the first step, the leg Will tazed gives out, and she hits the ground, hard.

Fingers curl in the dirt, and with a frustrated growl, she starts an animalistic scamper-crawl with her three remaining useful limbs. At this point she's hurting herself more just by trying to keep going-

-but that's when a sudden shudder passes over her. Sparks shower off her body as the transformation hits its time limit, the outfit and attributes of Yang falling away as Kazusa is uncovered. Battered, burnt, and so utterly drained that she's unconscious before she slumps to the ground.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna does not let go easily. She doesn't WANT to let go at all - and it's not just about restraining Kazusa from turning William into a fresh load of high-iron fertilizer for the garden.

She doesn't let go when the still-berserk Kazusa elbows her in the ribs. Or the second time. Or the third.

It's only when Kazusa exerts her full strength to break free, including some cannily-exercised leverage, that Yuna's deathgrip is broken at all - and even then, she tries to grab Kazusa's ankle. Not to trip her, not to hold her back ...

But she *needs* to hold on to somebody now.

The first time Yuna fell into the grip of her vengeful berserker fury, there was nobody to hold her. Her wrath was sated in Genmu's destruction, but that was followed directly by an even greater threat, the memory of which still haunts her.

Other precious friends have skirted death, or died outright, or even (in one case) actually passed through it, and Yuna has weathered those tempests alone, finding solace where she was able. But as the overcharged aura finally drains away, there's nothing to hide the tears on Yuna's face except possibly if she plants her own face against the torn-up ground.

She's not really sobbing, not audibly. But her tears continue to flow, her shoulders shuddering unevenly. She's too burned out right now to really give voice to her feelings ... even if, unlike Kazusa, she's still conscious.
Deelel Deelel is just drained now the very old program is also clearly in shock tjher she says nothing she starts to snap out of it as Will and Kaz are now going at it. That's enough to get her to act b uyt at this point Kazusa is down and in a bad way she shake sher head trying to clear it. Focus on the living, focus on those you can do something about. She'll move to Kazusa and star to try and heal her. She looks to the rest of this after she fiishes up.

"Sensless."

It's said the Users have a plan but what beyond their doman? Deelel sees humans as creatures of chaos seeking order, why else would her world exist? Yet this is sobering and far too close to home in the end.
William Pauwel Will stands for a moment longer, until he's sure Kazusa's not about to just... Straight up maul anyone. And neither is Yuna. Or anyone else. The cowpoke goes silent, his weapon slowly dims and cools with a soft hiss. "...Damnit," he cusses, tilting his hat down over his eyes. Nobody needs to see what's under there right now.

"...Guys, I can't... Can you go... get Ayla? I have work I need to do--" Work. There are tools in his hands. What kind of--

He's making for the two machines. Phonon and Sonnet.

If nothing else-- he can't fix people. He can't bring the dead back to life. But... But machines. Maybe there's a chance...!
Reina Kinney Meanwhile, once Reina has gotten William stabilized, she runs over to Yuna and places a hand on her shoulder (or the shoulder of her armor anyway) and speaks in a gentle voice, one contrasting the usual stern and sometimes sarcastic tone that she is known for taking. "Yuna, I know you're upset. The reality is, so am I." If one looked closely, they'd see tears welling up in her blue eyes. "Unfortunately, not even my Reverser TECHNIC could bring her back now." She sighs and shakes her head. "It's OK to let it out, though." She tries to embrace Yuna a bit more as best as she can.

"The reality is, even the best of GUARDIANS have had to deal with casualties that were unpreventable in their line of work." Reina wipes her eyes with her right hand before continuing, although the tears aren't disappearing. "Laia once told me, 'Some casualties can be prevented, but some casualties are the result of fate.' It looks like this is one of those latter cases." She sniffles a little. "Fate is one of those things that you have to learn to accept, we can't alter it or try to change it." By now, the tears are sliding down Reina's cheeks as she speaks. "Not that it makes accepting the pain any easier." She now begins to cry openly, not caring about how she looks or sounds as a member of GUARDIANS.

In fact, Reina disables her communications with GUARDIANS so Laia won't see her crying. Granted, she'd probably understand, but Reina can't bear to be seen crying by her superior. It may seem strange, but it's a sign that even the hardest of the hardest have to show their emotions now and then...
Moonlit Saber The mirror reveals some very interesting things. Saber quirks a brow slightly at what her mirror tells her is a lie. "That is not true, is it, Soma? You want to know what happens next. You do not wish to have to die here." It's her best guess, at least. All the mirror tells her is truth or lie, so the rest is guesswork, especially since she doesn't know Soma very well.

All the time the others are keeping Kazusa from killing Soma, Saber tries to keep her focus on the task at hand. But when she sees her Master fall and revert, and what condition she's in now... The mirror vanishes, and Saber rushes to her side. "Kazusa!" Saber falls to her knees, reaching for Kazusa's hand, and bites her lower lip. She pauses and looks up again, gazing toward Soma. "Do not give up your life so readily. You should... you should think for yourself. Not what your task is. What you want to do." Squeezing Kazusa's hand, she returns her attention to the girl. "We can... speak later. If you wish."
Kazusa Ujikane     Deelel's healing helps - it serves to take the 'edge' off the burns, to ease some of the tension of pain from her unconscious face. But she'll still need some serious medical attention, and she's not going anywhere.

Though her hand does twitch just faintly in Saber's.
Lyner Barsett      Soma's been dealt with, and still alive, despite all odds to the contrary. Kazusa's been... well, she's reverted. Ayla is definitely gone. There's no saving her. The only thing they can do now is bury her. "...." Lyner closes his eyes and then turns away. "We need to move Ayla. And... the parts, right. Need to contact Jack and Krusche..."

He starts walking off. "Radolf too...and someone needs to get Luke out of here..." Damn it. Too many things to do. The Knight of Elemia just plods off, feeling empty of purpose despite so much to be done. He stuck to his ideals in the end, but even so... how much did they lose?

Soma meanwhile doesn't bother running or begging. She just silently accepts that this is what's going to happen to her now. Help them survive? Well...

Her eyes settle on Saber for a brief moment as she makes assumptions of the girl. They aren't answered. Whether true or false.

It's been a long day. But... it's over now.

Now it's time to pick up the pieces.
Yuna Kagurazaka It's a safe guess that Yuna is grateful for Reina's show of emotional support. But guessing is about all anyone can do right now - she's not getting up, not even lifting her head. On the contrary, she's trying harder NOT to show her face right now.

Elner, on the other hand, is quick to offer assistance when William brings up (by action) the prospect of repairing the two guardians, Phonon and Sonnet. For a start, the little robo-faerie offers to scan the guardians' frames, help identify damage that needs to be repaired. There are supplies and parts that will be needed too, and while Elner can't necessarily carry anything, it *can* help locate some of the parts and tools, give directions for people who need to navigate the Cocoon to bring things back.
Reina Kinney Meanwhile, Reina stands up and dusts herself off before restoring communications to GUARDIANS HQ. "This is Kinney, I had a slight communications hiccup... Got it... OK will do." She looks to the others and gives a stern look that says, "We did what we could, there's nothing else we can do." She lowers her head for a moment and closes her eyes. "Poor Ayla..." Then looks up again, before looking to Yuna and then the others. "Let's get this place cleared out and let's get outta here."
