Tomoe The Tavern was not the most safe place in the world but it could be a lot worse. The food was good in somedays better than she could get elsewhere in the multiverse. She couldn't complain about the prices. Either and it was something different it was also a good spot to get away from the likelyhood of running into any other elite too. She didn't have her armour on but she was still tall and imposing clocking in at over six feet. There was also no hiding her ears or her hair ither as she moved to find a point near the bar and flag someone down to order a meal. Still though a very tall Elf seeming woman might get some attention one way or another here.
Captain Flint A serving girl approaches Tomoe before long, pausing briefly to set down plates for two nearby customers. Turning to face the Elite, the girl smiles, only momentarily distracted by Tomoe's ears. "What'll ya have?" she asks, far from the formality common to more civilized locales. In the background, a tall, hairy creature roars at a fellow sitting across from him, evidently incensed by the outcome of their game. It seems this place is adjusting to the multiverse quite well--but in places like Nassau, money is always the bottom line, and xenophobia just isn't profitable.
Tomoe The serving girl gets a nod as he comes up and she says "I'll take sea food if you got it or some special along those lines. I'm not picky I'm just hungry and want something to eat." he gfrins a bit but doesn't seem too botehred until the big screature seems to be unhappy about a game. It's adjusted to the mulriverse it seems better than she thought. Money does wonders for buckling down Xenophobia in the end, right?

"Just let me know how much you take credits I hope?"
Captain Flint She grins. "Salt cod," says the serving girl with certainty. "Would ya like anything to drink with that? We got ale, rum, port..."

As the serving girl rattles off options for Tomoe, two new arrivals enter the tavern from upstairs. A few of the regulars look to see who it is, as if their arrival is or might be the subject of rumor. Two men, one weathered by the sea, sporting a furrowed brow and the air of a strategest, the other young, brimming with vitality and zeal. They share a brief exchange as they descend. The younger of the two departs, while the older, a man Tomoe may remember as Captain Flint, elects to remain, surveying the tavern. Spotting Tomoe, his eyes spark with faint remembrance, and he approaches her table.

     "Miss... Tomoe, if I recall?"
Tomoe Tomoe Says "Works for kme can't go wrong with Cod." She smirks she's wlays been fond of that and puses "I'll take the rum." She notes and will make sure to pay she notices other people though they look interesing they seme quie full of life and then she pauses at Captian Flint.

"Captain Flint, it's been a while, I'm glad to see you lived though the fall of the Mega Nations. I was at najourn it was... harrowing."
Captain Flint The serving girl nods, then hurries off to bring the order to the cook. This seems like the kind of place to have a cook. Places with chefs usually bother to cover up the flaking paint.

Flint affects a grave expression, eyes reflecting the weight of Tomoe's one-word testimony. He nods. "To hear of it is one thing. To meet someone involved is quite another." The captain pauses, looking out at the busy port town. "Nassau has flourished in the time since. I hope you can say the same for your affairs." Turning his attention back towards her, he searches her face, brow furrowed, for the telltale signs of loss. "Did you lose anyone close...?"
Tomoe Tomoe lookt to CLing now with intrest and she looks at him for amoment. "It was a nightmare to be blunt, reality came unglued in no way magic or science that I know of should allow." What she didn't say was she had access to none of her powers in this time at all while she was trying to get out of the station but clealry she looks haunted. "No...Najourn in it's last moments...acted to teleprot everyone still living inside it, out....and out of the blast stone's range...before it perished."
Captain Flint Flint's reaction to the last living act of Njorun station is one of muted surprise. His eyebrow quirks slightly as he considers it, hand resting upon his chin to toy with his goatee. "I regret never having visited," he admits. "It must be quite the fortress to save those inside even as its last brick crumbles to the ground. One can only hope the nations of our world take note of such a noble act."

His hand rests upon the back of a chair opposite Tomoe. "Do you mind company?" he asks.
Tomoe Tomoe Says "No I don't if you'd like to stya bit I don't mind. It really was something, to seel. Now it's a twisted broken ruin that's killed most people who have gone into seek out the truth of what happened or to loot the corpse of the old mega nations' wealth. We now have a bunch of thugs posing as America world police, Mad sicence full of fed war criminals and people who push too far. A bunchof viglanties with no real support and the PMC is the seemingly most decent one of the lot but I'm likely bias. I'm ... close to it's leader then agains he keeps a tight ship far as I can tell."
Captain Flint Flint takes the offered seat. Soon after, the serving girl returns with salted cod and rum for Tomoe. "Oh," says the girl. "Captain. Can I get ya anything?"

"Spiced rum," says the captain, sending the girl away with a courteous nod. Angling his head back, as if trying to make sure he understands, the captain makes an inquiry. "I've apprised myself of the information on the players of the Multiverse to date. By PMC I assume you mean the Concord--and by 'she...' He trails off. "Priscilla." Tilting his head again, he makes the statement into a question.
Tomoe Tomoe Says "Yes they are a private military contractor more or less and yes. She helped me and a lot of people escape curse more or less that was slowly killing us and asked for nothign in return. Sure I'm a naive idiot but when someonelike that gives a shit about you existing? It says somthing." Odd thing for someone seeming like Tomoe to say isn't it? "Sides these ain't the union anymore and I don't owe any group as a whole anything now."
Captain Flint "Perhaps it's more accurate to say that you never owed them anything to begin with," offers Flint with a faint smile. "As for the Concord--Priscilla may give a shit, but I'm certain the League to which she answers feels differently. The Concord seems an attractive offer for the ambitious, but to me, it's bread and circuses."

As if on cue, the captain receives his spiced wine, and he offers (after a sip) a quiet word of thanks to the serving girl. "No man is rich who could have more for less."
Tomoe Tomoe Says "Heh that's one way to look for things, fair enough you do what you got to do right? I'm free as is the rest of my guild now the hell war is over and done and no new group wants to see it start back up. I'll drink to that an end to a war theat rivaled Luicfers in Heaven. Tomoe gets her rum and starts drinking it too.

"Heh I tend to brun through a lot of my money but I don't mind. I'm not suck as a clerk somewhere with no proespects in life."
Captain Flint Flint finishes his drink, setting the cup down with a definitive /clack./ Smacking his lips, his eyes dart from the table, then to Tomoe, then past her at the goings-on outside. When he returns his attention to Tomoe, there is a certainty in his eyes, a steady surety that burns like hot coals.

"Are you a student of history, Miss Tomoe? Have you ever, upon reading a passage about the plight of the oppressed, or about the golden age of some bygone civilization, found yourself thinking, 'If I were alive then, I would have done this?'" He stands up.

"The superfactions are dead, and from their ashes rise new polities. A word of advice? Now is that time," says the captain with an entrepeneurial smile. "You 'would do' what you are doing now. Nassau needs talented people looking to make history. Perhaps if your prospects begin to bore you, perhaps if you want more money to burn through... perhaps we'll see you more often." He then lays down a credit chit upon the table--a remarkably clean thing to come from a man so worn by the elements. The digital display reveals it's enough to pay for the both of them.

     "Good day, Miss Tomoe."
Tomoe Tomoe is enjoying her drink and she nods a bit. "I know a bit of history, and you make a good point it really is. If the GU is going to make it's name and stake it's claim now is the time to do somthign before we and our world get swept up in something else." She grins a bit at Flintbut she sees the drive in the man's eyes. She's seen that drive in the eyes of others including one she's followed to this day.

"It's time to see where that is going to do, I'll consider jobs in the future Captain. You can count on that.

"Good day Captain Flint. Good sailing to you and your crew."
