Inga Freyjasdottir Inga has been out of communication for a little while now, even since the Union fell apart and the whole multiverse seemed to shift. It had been a great shock to her system, it seems, for she was only now coming out of a days long session of watching the wyrd twist and turn and reform.

She's sitting outside at the moment, staring into nothing, her eyes dark and wide. She's not wearing her cloak. She should be shivering, but she isn't. Its clear she lives though, her chest rising and falling with breath.

She's just somewhere else.
Staren HIGH ABOVE

A small castle-shaped ship drops out of FTL. The readings on his sensors made no sense, and now Staren can see why:

Is that... is that the multiversal superplanet? The surface in this area is the white and blue of snow and water... but it's the /surface/. Maybe few outside the League's Meisters would care, but this is definitely different from before! If Kari doesn't get it, he launches into a discussion of Multiversal geogrpahy and how it /used/ to be, which is thankfully interrupted by the ship's high-resolution cameras finding a village on the surface. Staren glances at the picture, not recognizing Dun Realtai from above, and smiles to Kari. "Well, shall we?" He hurries through the lab section of the ship to the teleporter, beaming them down...

HERE

Two red beams of light shoot down from the sky in rapid succession, coalescing into Staren and Kari a short distance from Inga's house. Staren spots someone sitting outside in the cold, not moving, and immediately fears the worst. Then as he gets closer he sees it's... "Inga? Inga, what are you doing?!"
Alden So far the exploration of the... transformed multiverse had been going well, in the sense that he did not accidentally got sent to the depths of the shadow realm, or bump into a horde of monsters!. He was glad he ended up near a gateway to his home world at all!. He really had to figure out a map of things again, adn thus, he started to try to figure how all worked again, with Katze taking notes for him.
Right now, he was taking a stroll in a rather nice looking world, the large, periwinkle wolf moving around silently, trying not to startle people, and simply enjoying the pleasant weather and location. The fact that he is on his way towards Inga's cottage due to noticing a familiar scent, and starting to track it.
Any thoughts on the owner of the scent derailed as he spots the two beams falling from the sky. The wolf's ears perk up and he rushes to the impact size, if only because random things falling from the sky tend to cause trouble!. The trotting creature skidding comically to a halt as he spots a very tiny, familiar person, with Katze jumping from Alden's head as he stops, and approaching the fellow Shinki, "Kari!". It's then that Alden sees Inga, blinking, and moving near Staren, offering the familiar face a nod, but more concerned on the... meditating?, entranced? Inga.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga looks toward Staren, her eyes still distant, just beginning to try to pull herself back to the here and the now. It is a struggle. Her eyebrows crease with the effort, eyes finally closing, squinting shut. Inga shakes her head vigorously, then opens her eyes again, blinking. "Oh... the world changed, didn't it," she comments.

Then, she frowns. "...I'm freezing," she observes, as if it is an interesting surprise.

Another owlish blink, then her expression changes, her brow furrowing and he nose wrinkling somewhat. "...I feel like I have a hangover." She looks between Staren, Kari and Alden. She's still a little out of it, obviously.
Kari Wolf     Kari hops along, sprays of snow accompanying her jumps. Her master had told Kari to be polite to Staren. She finally lands on the steps of the cottage, visible now. Shaking off the snow that's collected onto her, she waves cheerfully at Inga. "Hi! ... Aren't you the woman who fought Ophelia on that highway?" She asks, curious.
Then she turns to Alden. "Hi Alden! Nice to see you again. Doing okay after the universe barfing?"
Staren     Staren nods to Inga. "Yeah." He'd exposit HOW the world changed, but getting her out of the cold is more urgent! "We'd... We'd better get you inside, then..." He pulls off his cloak and scarf, wrapping them around her. "And get a fire started... Uh, too slow, too slow!" His clothing explodes into threads, then coalesces into winter gear. He pulls a ring off the back of his bandana, slipping it around his finger, before tying the kerchief around Inga's neck -- the magic charm sewn inside protecting from the weather, and then gloves quickly form over his hands. "Geeze it's cold..." He heads for the door. "Yeah, a lot of stuff changed. Has noone... talked to you, yet?" He looks between Inga and Alden.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga looks to Kari, recognizing her. There's no anger in her eyes upon that recognition. "Ophelia...yes, that was me. Ah...yes. Yes it was," she replies, as if she were unsure for a moment.

Quickly bundled and assumably pulled to her feet by Staren, Inga nods. "Oh. Yes, inside," she says, and turns toward the door, leading them inside, leaning on the doorframe and then the wall. "...Now, where did I put my staff..." she grumbles, but decides to just sit again on a bench by the hearth. There's a small bit of wood still in there, and logs stacked nearby. Inga gestures vaguely and flames spring up from the logs.

She looks to Staren again, shaking her head. "No. No think I have maybe been unconscious...I did not see it coming, but I saw it happening..." she frowns deeply.
Alden Alden is thankfully very fluffy like this, so he is not too bothered by the cold, but even then, he eagerly nods at the suggestion from Staren to get inside, "I think that sounds good." he mumbles, shaking himself a bit and flicking that long tail of his. "I... have no clue of what happened yet..." he mumbles softly, "I mean, I know it was really serious of course." he says. He offers Kari a friendly nuzzle, same with Staren and Inga, before padding inside the door.
Of course, once inside, he 'devolves' to his gabumon shape, where the changes might be more noticable... he now has a fluffy tail, rather than a lizard's one!. "Are you ok Inga?" he asks.
Meanwhile, Katze seems content to remain with Kari, "Glad to see you again, got worried you might get lost in all this mess." she says, tail flicking, "Things are ok, but Alden kinda had to search for his way back home for a while, he got really worried."
Kari Wolf     Kari hees as Alden gives her a nuzzle. "Katze! Awesome. Yeah, Harriet and me are okay. My master lost an arm escaping the Citadel, and she's working on building a neat robot one." She skips along behind Alden, Staren, and Inga, going inside.
She offers Katze a nitro can to help the fellow shinki shake off the cold.
Staren     In they go. Staren pulls a lighter out of his bag and Inga just magics up some fire. "That's handy..."

He starts pacing through the room. When Alden nuzzles him he reflexively pets, but he looks half-lost in thought. "Where do I begin... the Union and Confederacy are no more. Njorun rotted and crashed into the surface, using its power to teleport everyone inside to safety. We've been... oh, let me see your radios, I'll join them to the StarkNet." He does so as he talks, half-rambling. "The, uh, the, uh, we've been... everyone's been trying to... Right, so, the Multiverse reorganized itself. She said 'barfed' but that's not entirely innacurate, apparently, as it seems space is on the /outside/ of the superplanet now, um, I mean, everything's reorganized and in different places too... The warpgates don't go to the same places, and... the old communications infrastructure is mostly gone, the radio networks we were using... The Union and Fed radios are gone anyway. Private networks still work, and Tony Stark had sattelites all over that have created the new 'Stark Net' that people can talk on..."

He glances at Alden. "I'm still looking for home myself, I've been using Equestria as a base I guess, I mean I'm sure my parents are okay, um, where was I..."

"So, the, uh, the Union and Confederacy don't seem to be coming back. There's, there's new groups, the League of Progress which is trying to advance science and technology..." he sighs, "at the cost of all else, but I'm trying to help them achieve things more morally, and there's the Paladins which is some kind of multiversal police force, and there's the Concord which... I'm not sure what their deal is but they are protecting places and have lots of resources. I've heard mention of a fourth group, but don't know anything about them beyond that maybe there is one."

He stops, and then scratches his head, looking between Inga and Alden. "Um, does that cover it all?"
Alden Alden certainly is not one to mind being petted, despite his looks!. The explanation gets a sigh from him, "I figured as much... this is all a mess." he mumbles, "I do hope that we can get organized soon..." he mumbles. When Staren mentions being lost he winces, "I'll help you find your home, if I can of course." he adds, bushy tail giving a wag. Katze accepts Kari's offer,
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga nods to Alden. "I am. I think. More or less. I have a rather large headache--I think its my head, anyway. Everything's very..." Inga sort of waves her arms in a swirly motion, then sits back with a sigh. She closes her eyes for a few moments as Staren explains. She'd seen the other side of the tapestry of the world, the twisting of the threads, the floats of the yarn that made up existence all shifting...now she needs to get an idea for the picture on the other side. Which Staren is explaining in broad strokes, which is what she needs just now.

She sighs heavily. "So that's why... many people were probably off-world here and maybe just haven't found their way back. I wonder if Agartha's passageways have changed..." she says. She lets Staren take her radio. It isn't a traditional radio, but rather the magic sort of device Harry uses--because he kills technology by being close to it.

"That's...that is a lot to take in. Njorun..." Inga shakes her head. Its all rather shocking. "So the Union is...it is no more? You are in another...group now?" she asks Staren, eyebrow rising. "Is...everyone alright? There were casualties..."
Kari Wolf     Kari herself takes sips of a nitro can to keep her systems from being affected by the cold. She lets Staren explain, as she has not been out and about quite as much as him since. "Neo-Arcadia ended up in a giant cavern!"
Staren     Staren looks a bit awkwards when Inga asks if he's in another group. "Everyone made it out of Njorun safely, I don't know about the Citadel." He looks to Kari to let her comment, then back to Inga. "However, the Multiversal reshuffling has caused problems. You've seen how much high-technology cities rely on infrastructure. You can imagine the problems if one were seperated from its power plant... or even just from the routes people usually use to bring food in. Or the problems for /any/ city if it's, say, suddenly moved next to a forest full of monsters or something."

He scratches his head. "Yes, I've... joined the League, in hopes that I can contribute to their progress being of the moral variety when possible, rather than otherwise. I hope that I can have more influence that way, than I would just running around fighting bad guys wherever they pop up... not that I intend to /stop/ doing that..."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga nods, frowning gently. "I see," she says. She reaches over to pat Staren on the shoulder, turning her eyes to him. Her pupils widen, her brow furrowed in concentration.

After a moment, she nods. "You must go where you think is best...you will have your work cut out for you however," she comments, reaching up to rub her temples. "I have to find Harry...he probably got lost..." she sighs. "I don't suppose you know the way to Chicago?" she asks, looking between Staren, Alden and Kari. "I hope all your loved ones are safe...and your worlds not...too bungled," she adds.

There's a lot to process. Right now, she just wants to track down the people she cares for and see that they are alright.

Inga finally spots her staff, laying on the floor nearby. She reaches for it, and stands.
