Inga Freyjasdottir It's a blustery, chilly day in Dun Realtai. Most of the leaves have fallen, and what remain will soon be gone after a windy day such as this one. But the sun shines, providing some degree of warmth, making it not too unpleasant to be out and about provided once is dressed for the weather.

Which Inga is. Because she lives here. The wisewoman is draped in her fur-lined cloak, riding astride her elegant grey horse at an easy canter. She's heading out of the more forested region toward the fields, letting her horse get some exercise while Inga gets a bit of fresh air. The Seer is smiling brightly, enjoying free movement, and Jodis is certainly enjoying herself as well.

There's pasture nearby with many more horses grazing peacefully, and Inga imagines envying Jodis her time to run.
Sokka Sokka came walking down towards the village, a look of, well, confusion on his face. "I thought you said this place had cheese?" "No, master. I said you were being cheesy," his wrist computer said. "And I tried to tell you multiple times that there was, in fact, no cheese. If you eat here, there is a twenty percent chance you'll acquire dysentary." "That doesn't sound tasty..." "I do not have the ability to taste things, but i would assume not, sir."

He looked around as he walked, picking stuff out of his ears. "Kinda gives me a real... earth kingdom feel..." He stopped by a fence, watching the horses. "Just horses? No horsewolverines?"
Staren     Staren approaches from a ways behind Sokka -- they didn't come together, but clearly both came from the warpgate. For winter, he wears a hooded white assassin cloak, and a long sea-green scarf with some kind of logo on it. His labcoat is closed under the cloak, although he doesn't look /quite/ adequately protected for winter by clothing alone. Whatever Annie's wearing, he doesn't comment -- he knows she doesn't need to keep warm.

Spying Sokka and Inga, he waves with a smile. "Inga! Sokka!"
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga spots somewhere near the horses, a familiar figure with a fairly distinctive haircut. She blinks, then tugs Jodis' reigns gently to guide her over toward Sokka. "Sokka?" she asks, approaching with a smile an curiosity in her eye. "Well met. What are you doing here?" she asks.

And a little ways behind him, Staren and Annie! "Ah! Hello! Finally decided to take me up on my offer to visit hmm?" she asks. Staren is a friend, and he's never seen what is now her home. That he brought a friend too is perfectly fine. Inga feels her hospitality is up to it.

Inga looks between Sokka and Staren. "Oh, have you already met, then?" she asks.
Sokka Sokka glanced back to ing and gave a wave. "Yeah, you could say that. Hey Staren, what brings you out here? Come to see the weird sights? Can you believe this place? They have horses. Not chicken horses, not boar horses, not even platypus horses. Just... horses." He gave a light chuckle.

He then looked up at inga and smiled. "Why hello there. My name is Sokka, and who might you be?" he said with a suave(at least, what he thought was suave) smile.
Annie Sandberg Annie follows closely behind Staren. She's dressed in her usual clothes, with a simple light-gray coat over them, not yet having had the opportunity to entirely reinvent her wardrobe along with her personality. Now that she thought of it, that would definitely be something she'd need to start doing. She smiles kindly and offers a wave of her own to Inga and Sokka. "Hello," she says. "I haven't had the opportunity to come here before," she notes as she looks about. "It's a nice place. Seems peaceful."
Staren     Staren gives a little shrug. "I /have/ never been..." he comments, and nods to Inga's question about knowing Sokka.

"That is normal on most worlds." he deadpans to Sokka. "Well, most Earths anyway."

He looks between those assembled. "This is Annie, an old acquaintance I haven't seen in some time, we happened to run into eachother on the way here so I invited her along." He looks at the fields ahead. "I thought she might like the aesthetic."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga smiles to Annie. "It is very peaceful, generally. It's a lovely place. You should see the village...I can show you the way," she offers.

Inga then looks down to Sokka. She blinks, her lips turning to a frown. "We've met. You covered me in spagetti and fell on top of me after, oh, making a fool of yourself trying to hit on me. By the gods, no wonder you've no luck in love," she says, feeling slighted.

She's killed people for less.

But Inga has mellowed some, and of course there's rules to follow. So, a curse will do.

Inga fixes Sokka with her stare, whispers a spell...

To Staren, she nods. "We've met, though it has been some time," she says, cracking a small smile.

Sokka, now, may find that he's awfully itchy suddenly...
Sokka Sokka smiled at her flirtatiously. Then she said that. The color began to drain from his place. "O-oh. Oh. You were so... oh gosh." And he face palmed, turning his back to her. "Oh gosh just kill me now... ugh..."

He then turned back, smiling at her. "Uhhhh... heh... heh heh... so, ummm fresh start? Or... yeah... I'll just... leave you alone." He glanced to Annie. "Well, hey little girl. My name's Sokka. Nice to meet you." He then blinked and lifted a hand up, lightly scratching his chest.'
Annie Sandberg "That'd be nice," Annie says when Inga suggests joining her in the village. "I didn't come here just for a pony ride after all." There would probably be more to see in the village than out here.

Then, Sokka approaches her, trying to change the subject from his gaffe. "Hi Sokka. My name's Annie Sandberg. It's nice to meet you too." She would probably mention that she isn't really a little girl, just an android in the image of one, but she figures he's been through enough. And besides, technically she was still "little" size-wise.
Inga Freyjasdottir "Come then, I'll let the way. It is only a short walk," she says, steering Jodis toward the village, keeping her horse a slow walk. She isn't sure Jodis could carry another, but it shouldn't be necessary. The slowest person is already the one on the horse!

Keeping a straight face, Inga looks to Sokka. "What's the matter Sokka? You look uncomfortable," she says, pure polite concern, perhaps with the slightest tinge of amusement.
Staren     Staren quirks an eyebrow at the exchange between Inga and Sokka. "Tome can also remind you about stuff like that, too." He comments to Sokka.

To Inga he replies, "Sure, let's see the village! Is that where you live? For some reason I thought you guys had, like, a castle here or something."
Sokka Sokka shook his head. "What? Nahhhh, I'm fine." Still scratching his chest. "Why? Something wrong?" Oh, he was going to be in so much trouble. He grinned and looked to the village. "It looks... nice. so, ummm, where to?" he asked with a grin. "Not here before, so why don't you show me around?"
Annie Sandberg "I hope I don't stand out too much in these clothes," Annie comments as they enter the village. "Are they used to having people from outside with better technology around?" she asks Inga. "Since they're close to a warp gate, I guess they probably are."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga smiles to Staren. Perhaps he might remember when she'd cursed Ziggy for hitting her with a giant wheel of cheese...

"Oh there is a castle of sorts, yes, but I do not live there. Nor do I live in the village. I have a cottage in the woods--which I could take you to instead if you want to see it. I have a few goats and chickens..and good food," she adds with a grin.

But they can see the village, first.

It is styled as a medieval village, and more or less is. However, it is much cleaner, which some noticable modern conveniences here and there. There's a market open at the moment, selling vegetables, apples and other wares you'd find in a villiage that doesn't use too much in the way of technology. There's a food stall selling meat pies, but no tavern to speak of.

"The Keep is up there," she says, though its visible once they reach the village. "That is where most events happen, and where Sir Bedivere and Lady Arturia live," she explains.

Sokka's itch will start to get maddeningly worse...

She nods to Annie. "Oh yes, they are used to it. Don't worry. You wont alarm anyone," she ads with a smile.
Staren     Oh hey, a market! This is actually pretty familiar, since Staren's become accustomed to buying fruits and vegetables at Ponyville market for the past year instead of at a grocery store. Staren eyes the meat pies. "Is the food any good here?" He reaches into his bag and pulls out a few Equestrian bits. "Is my /money/ any good here?" He assumes they don't take credit or debit.
Sokka Sokka blinks a little bit and then starts scratching himself with a hum. "That's... odd." He looks around. "I wodner if I'm alergic to something here. You think they have some kind of... lotion or something here?"

"Would you like me to request a medical evac?" Tome asked.

".... No. Don't over react." He then looked over to Staren. "So, what brings you down here? The cute girls?" Motioned to Inga. "Or the weird creatures?" "Or the dysentary?" Tome offered.
Annie Sandberg "That's good to know," Annie says. "But even so, I should see what they have for clothes here. I think I'm in need of something new. And this sort of world is actually kind of nostalgic for me." Considering that she used to live in a tall tower-fortress in a fantasy realm herself. She looks curiously at Sokka, wondering what might have gotten into him.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga looks to Staren's money thoughtfully. "I am not sure...I am not very good with money. I usually get my goods in exchange for my services to the village," she explains. "Worry not though, I'll feed you at my cottage. The food is good though, yes. The meat pies are delicious, if you can't wait," she says with a shrug.

Inga looks down toward Sokka, smiling gently. "Allergic? Hmm, perhaps. Or maybe I've cursed you?" she says with a playful grin.

If no one wishes to stop in the village for too long, Inga leads the way out and away toward the trees again, where her cottage can be found in the middle of a grove of trees. Goats in a pen outside noisily greet them as they approach. It's a good sized cottage, really, built in a semi-norse style but with obvious modern influences to improve the longevity of the construction. Smoke rises from the chimney, a welcome sight to cold travelers. Upon stepping into the grove, there's a certain sense of the uncanny for those who are not completely oblivious to such. A tickle on the hairs of the back one's neck.

The itching continues to progress. An angry red rash that spreads and intensifies.

To Annie, she nods. "Well, most of the people here make their own clothing or buy it elsewhere...I believe there is a tailor, but you cannot buy clothes in a store like you do in some worlds. We could stop on the way out and see the tailor...or I could perhaps make something for you. I have a pretty good hand for sewing."
Staren     Staren gives Sokka a blank stare. "I have a girlfriend." And then rolls his eyes. "They're not weird." He looks to Tome. "Don't be mean."

He nods at Inga and pockets the coins. He follows her, taking in the scenery.
Sokka Sokka shook his head. "Definitely something." He then glanced to inga and... "Bwa ha ha ha. cursed me, right. Everyone knows curses aren't real." He shook his head. "That's hilarious." He kept scratching his side, letting out a guhhhh. "Master, perhaps you have gained flees. I did warn you not to get too close to that unhygenic animal." "But it was so fluffy..." "Horses should not be fluffy. Or perhaps that gunk you put in your mouth. It was glowing green." "What? It tasted fine." "...sir..."
Staren     "Dude, she's a witch." Staren comments, when Sokka says curses aren't real. "/Some/ horses are fluffy."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga dismounts and ties the reigns to a post before turning to face Sokka, laughter in her eyes. Staren knows.

Inga approaches Sokka and grabs him lightly by the shirt, pulling it away from his body enough to see down his chest to the rash that is now starting to creep up to his neck. "Oh, you poor thing," she says, too sweetly. "I have just the thing to cure that," she says, stepping back and pulling a knife from her belt.

Which she then uses to slice open her arm. Blood rises quickly, floating upward into the air...only to then be flicked at Sokka. It turns to a fine red mist that shimmers with golden light, surrounding him with an aura of crimson.

The itching stops. Indeed, he'll feel /great/. Better than he has in days. Invigorated.

Inga's eyes narrow, all sweetness gone. The grove seems to grow darker. "There are things in this multiverse you do not understand--there will always be things...you should not be so callous. Test everything...question it...but do not be blind to what is before you," she advises, still holding a bloody knife. If he's not too freaked to notice, the wound in her arm is visibly healing before his eyes.

She sheaths her knife then, and smiles. "Now, who'd like donuts?"
Sokka Sokka blinked a few times as she healed him. "Oh gosh not blood bending..." He shuddered and stepped away. "Really? Curses are just like fortune telling, complete hog wash. There is a logical explanation for everything. Curses is just disease or something else explained away as magic." He gives a dismissive wave of his hand.

"Sir, actually curses have been explained and do live in the multiverse." "... Well shit."
Staren     "Yeah. Magic's real." Staren adds. "I thought maybe you'd listened to my advice, but..." he sighs. "A /good/ scientist wants to know what /is/, regardless of whether it sounds silly or not. Remember," he points at Tome, "All that is possible when you make the universe do math. But come on... 'make the universe do math'? That sounds as ridiculous as making the universe tell one's future..." Staren sighs. He sounds a little disappointed, but hopeful that Sokka will get it.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga's eye might have just twitched a little. "Fortune telling," she sighs. No, she's done. He's obviously not ready. She hopes he doesn't get himself killed out there, eaten by a multiverse filled with things he doesn't want to acknowledge exist.

She looks to him for a long moment. The pupils of her eyes expand to swallow the irises.

After a few moment, she blinks, then shakes her head. "Odin's bones, boy...your girlfriend turned into the MOON and you have trouble with accepting magic. I do not even know what to call that sort of denial. Well, I'm going to have tea. The door's open," she says, then walks inside wether anyone follows or not.
Sokka Sokka opened his mouth to talk. then blinked. Then... then he looked kind of sad. And... "Oh. You... I..." Then there was a quiet moment and he looked away, crossing his arms. "I... I think I should go."

"Sir? Your physical levels are--" "Shut up, tome." Oh, she hit a nerve right there.
Staren     Sokka's girlfriend turned into the MOON? "Wait, what?!" Staren asks, and then he gets to watch a social blowup from the outside.

    It hurts to watch.

"...You don't have to go. But if you need some time alone, that's okay too." He waits to see if Sokka will stay or go, saying goodbye if necessary, before going in to join Inga for tea.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga looks over her shoulder to Sokka. She's not without sympathy. She sighs. "I apologize. It is what I saw when I looked at you...the multiverse is a very dangerous place. You must realize this, or it will get you killed," she says quietly.
Sokka Sokka sighs and shakes his head. "Yeah. She... turned into the moon. I... I failed to protect her and she..." He closed his eyes and looked sullen again. "You're right. This world is.... there's so many things and... and I jsut need to... accept it..." There's a long, long moment of silence. "Yue..."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga sighs softly. "You can tell me more if you like...or just come and sit and I'll make you something to eat," she says. If she knows anything about young men, it is that they are always hungry. Maybe she can get him feeling better.

And perhaps she'll be more memorable!
Staren     Staren pats his shoulder. "Don't blindly accept everything, but don't blindly deny everything, either. You have to open your eyes and look, and see what is real and what is not." He tries to give a friendly smile.
Sokka Sokka blinked and then perked up. "Meat?" he asked inga. Well, that hit the right nerve. "Oh, do they have lamb? What kind of meat?" And would follow her off into the eating place!
