Sokka Sokka stared, his eyes going wide as they walked into the building.

There were no words. Absolutely none. He'd seen such beautiful things before. But never, ever, anything like this. He suddenly grabbed Toph and hugged her, one hand pointing out. "AHHHH! AHHH! LOOK! LOOK! LOOK LOOK LOOK!" He squealed like a school girl, letting her go, both hands forming fists and curled up to his shoulders. "Eeeeee!"

And then he was off! Staring in the windows, looking at the carts, rifling through the little stalls and then, eventually, coming to the holy grail of shopping. He stopped and stared, his eyes going wide. "AHHH! AHHHHH!" He pointed, his eyes wide with amazement and drawing plenty of stares.

An RC store. With model trains as well, going around on a track. He was just one step away from foaming at the mouth.
Toph Beifong     This reminds her of so many of the times when she travelled with the Gaang. And Sokka... well, he's as giddy as ever. As she's grabbed and hugged Toph blinks and sputters a bit, trying to ignore how hot her cheeks feel. "I knoooow, I've been here many times!" she states. Heck, Dorian might be the one who's dressed the strangest of the them, but he's the one who's acting the most normal of the guys. Toph herself blends in a fair bit better considering she's wearing some of the clothes that Pepper's gotten her. Jeans, a sweater as well as a jacket fitting for the season here in New York city. It's certainly bound to be more impressive than most sights Sokka has seen so far. Heck, eventually he's going to see Stark Tower too that's in the distance.

"So was there anything /you/ wanted to look at, Lover boy?" she asks Dorian.
Dorian Pavus     Toph was well-known for being able to defend herself, and Sokka was no slouch either. But the world still frowned upon letting young children out and about on their own, no matter how capable they were. So Dorian had decided to go with Toph and Sokka to the mall, in case someone was needed to chaperone. Not that they needed one, but it looks better in public.

Dorian might actually not be too strangely dressed this time. Not for the time period anyway. This is because he's not dressed in his typical light armor now. This time he's actually dressed in a very nice white suit, with a midnight blue button-up shirt and a teal-colored tie, and black loafer shoes. And he looks right and proper pimpin', too; in place of his usual mage staff (which would look incredibly out of place here) Dorian is carrying a black cane. The top of the cane is metal, and worked in the shape of a dragon's head.

Sokka's enthusiasm gets a chuckle. "Much like an outdoor bazaar, but inside," he observes. Anything and everything a chap can unload, is sold off the barrow in... well, not really. But close enough. He smiles at Toph's question. "Not at the moment. Though if I see something I'll ask to stop and take a look, if that's all right."
Sokka Sokka disappeared into one of the shops and then, soon, he came back out and practically jammed somethign in Toph's face. "Look, look!" It was one of those remote controleld drone things. He then paused. "It's a little tiny flying thing! You control it with a remote and it flies around whereever you want it to go and it's so AWESOME this is the best day EVER!" And then he took Toph's hand and started pulling her along.

Oh yeah, just like old times. And then he squealed like a even girlier school girl.

"So... many... outfits... Look at this belt!" It was a big, green belt. He then motioned to his bag. "Do you think they'd go together? Maybe I should get it. But last time I got a belt like this there was the whole incident with the earth benders, but I guess I'd be buying it, not winning it this time, but what if I... but should I really spend the money on it? I've only got a little bit in my savings I can't just blow through it all in a few days, but it's so cool and it goes with the bag and the bag cost a lot too..."
Toph Beifong     "He's like this a lot of the time," Toph says to Dorian incase he didn't figure it out already. And she sighs heavily when Sokka tells her to look. "You know I can't, Sokka! And I know about drone-- AAH!" Off she's pulled, and she does luckily manage to keep her balance as Sokka drags her with to check out the outfits he's looking at.

"Eh, that belt was mine, Aang cheated, remember?" she points out. "It's not like you won't stop seeing new stuff around here, so take it easy! There's tons of stuff to buy here, that doesn't mean you have to buy it all." Of course he loves shopping, doesn't he? Perhaps she should have taken him to a smaller mall or something...
Dorian Pavus     Dorian chuckles at Toph's explanation. "Yes, I gathered," he replies, with how she seemed not to be at all surprised by Sokka's behavior. He follows as Sokka begins to basically drag Toph around the place. And he nods to Toph's words. "Exactly. There's going to be a lot of new things here. Calm down and take it all in, and then you'll be able to sort through it all mentally."
Sokka Sokka gasped, but then nodded, sighing. "Yeah, you're right. Should... ohhhhh." And tugged her along some more. After a few, she'd feel something in her hair and... wait, was he putting something on her throat? "Can't believe I forgot. I picked up this while I was out. It's a sea shell comb. And this is great, they have a matching choker here, too. It looks good on you."

Oh by the stars. Toph would now begin to understand the worst horror imaginable with Sokka.

She was now... the shopping friend. That meant, not only would she have to endure shopping with him... it also meant she'd have to endure being dressed up by him at times. The horror. The terror. The true fear. "Hey, what do you think?" He'd ask the other guy, turning Toph to face him. Now that she'd have a little clam shell comb in her hair with a cute little choker, a lot like the one his sister wore, but with a spiral shell.

There was no escape for poor Toph at this point.
Toph Beifong     By now Toph's going just along with it, letting Sokka drag her over as he lets out a silent sigh. Though the moment he begins putting /something/ into her hair, that's when the girl begins to look confused, eyes widening. "Huh? What are you...?" And then he's at her neck, and she is tempted to wriggle away, though Sokka doesn't seem like he's giving up, so she just bears with it. As he shows her off to Dorian the mage should be able to tell that Toph isn't exactly sure what to think of this entire deal. "I thought you were going to get stuff for yourself...?" she asks Sokka, blushing a bit as she reaches up to take the comb out of her hair.

"I know you're excited about being in the multiverse and all, but yeah... just take a moment to look around. This isn't like Black Friday or anything, you know...?"
Dorian Pavus     Dorian smiles, the expression fond as Sokka places the comb in Toph's hair and the choker around her neck. The question gets a tilts of his head, and he rubs his chin in thought. "Hm... I think it does. It might look better with green, though." Like what Toph wears normally, perhaps?

Though he smirks at Toph's words of Black Friday. "No," he replies wryly. "If it were Black Friday, we'd be fighting for our lives." A look at Sokka. "Black Friday is an extraordinarily violent shopping day. My suggestion is to not get caught out in it."
Sokka Sokka smiled and ruffled her hair. "Hey, you've been helping me out a lot, Toph. I can get you something once in a while." he then paused. "Though, yeah, I guess it's probably not much considering the... other stuff you probably get. Cars and all... eh..." Ah, the problems of being friends with that one rich person. No idea what to get them.

"And what's black friday? It sounds violent, some kind of... war or something?" He was already imagining this bloody friday where hundreds of thousands died and all the shops were pillaged. And then Dorian confirms his suspicions. "Does this black friday happen often?"
Toph Beifong     "Well, I... don't really need stuff like that," Toph comments. He should know she's not much for jewelry, now is she? "And my adoptive parents don't get me much either because they know that's not what I want." A simple girl with simple taste. "I mean, they get me gifts during the holidays, but nothing too fancy. Heck, the coolest thing I've gotten is a badgermole figurine with metal gears in it so you can only move it by metalbending..."

And the car? That was from somebody else.

"Next week there's a big holiday in some parts of the multiverse called Thanksgiving. It's a day where you eat tons of food with your family and you're supposed to be grateful for what you have. And then of course it's oh so fitting that the next day is a day where nearly everything is on sale, so it's the worst shopping day ever. I've stayed away from it and only watched it from afar. People go /crazy/!"

As a matter of fact, this holiday is advertised throughout the stores in the mall. "You know what though...? You /could/ use some clothes if you want to blend in more in this world and worlds similar to it, you know," she suggests. It's not likely he will freeze during winter, but... "Dorian? You got any suggestions?"
Dorian Pavus     Dorian smirks. "Don't worry about trying to get something she doesn't have," he suggests to Sokka. "Get what you think she'd like, from you. That's a gift." He also nods to Toph's explanation of Black Friday. "It is rather insane," he agrees.

Then comes the question. And again Dorian looks thoughtful, looking Sokka over with the kind of look that an artist might give a canvas that he intends to paint a great masterpiece on. "Are you set on the color blue? It suits, but if you were open to other colors, there would be a great many more options."
Sokka Sokka nodded, then glanced down at Toph. "You know what? I think you need it." He gave a nod. "Besides, it makes you look cute. And..." He leaned in, and said in a teasing voice. "I'm sure that older boy you like will like it too~ I can't wait to eventually meet him." Oh by the stars.

Then he turned to dorian. "Hm? Oh, yeah. Blue's my favorite. But I pull off a mean red and black. Should have seen me in my training gi, too. Black and yellow. Whatever you think, I'll give it a shot. Except for dresses." He gave a sage nod, crossing his arms. "They make my butt look big."
Toph Beifong     "Hey, don't worry about getting me anything to begin with!" Toph says as a followup to Dorian's comment. No, there's no need to buy stuff for people all the time, now is there?

And then Sokka leans in and says something that makes her freeze where she stands. Her eyes widen a little, and she quickly lashes out, punching Sokka /hard/ in the arm! And she doesn't say anything as she lets out a snort and conitnues walking along with them down towards the next store. Let them sort out what kind of clothes Sokka should have! Heck, it's not like she /can/ really help with that...
Dorian Pavus     Oh boy. Dorian sees this one coming. And as Sokka speaks about the 'older boy', he takes a step over to Sokka. This puts him in a good place to help him up if Toph's hard punch in the arm DOES happen to knock him over. Regardless of if it does or not, Dorian notes quietly, "A suggestion: if she hasn't told you who this person is that's caught her attention, it's probably not a good idea to bring this person up." He's not really trying to keep Toph from hearing; that's pretty much impossible. He's just trying to keep the whole mall from hearing.
Sokka Sokka grinned, almost toppling over but Dorian managed to help. "Heh heh, that one'll leave a bruise. And you know I'm just kidding, Toph. I'm sure you'll tease me the same when I start finding some cute girls to..." He paused. "Well, actually there was that blue haired girl. She was pretty cute," he said with a light chuckle.

And then, of course, more shopping and him squealing. And, being the fashion suave guy he is... his first outfit is a hawaian shirt, shorts and sunglasses. It does NOT look good.
Toph Beifong     Due to her sensitive ears Toph does indeed hear what Dorian is telling Sokka, though it's good that he's being discreet about it. And well, it's good that /he/ at least understands that you just don't say who you're crushing on to people! Sheesh.

"Now come on!" No need to be all slow! "You wanted to shop, so let's shop." And then she heads towards the closest clothes store for young men. Surely there will be some decent clothes there.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian follows Toph to the next store, where... Sokka puts together one of the most horrible outfits ever. And Dorian's expression is one of clear horror. "Maker no," he states. "You look like someone loaded a crowd of tropical tourists in a cannon and fired them at you. Complete with those horrible touristy fruity drinks." That's an interesting mental image!
Sokka Sokka blinked, then frowned, glaring at the guy. "What? I look awesome! Toph, don't I..." He then sighed. "Right, fine. What do you want me to wear?" He soon disappeared into the backroom, to get dressed. Coming out in the stuff that dorian decided.

Occasionally, however, he glanced to Toph. Had he gone a bit too far with that last one? She was a shy little kid,a bit rough but still good. He made a mental note to lay off the teasing for a bit.

At least until he found out who the boy was she liked. Then it. Was. On. Matchmaker Sokka ho!
Toph Beifong     As Dorian and Sokka get to finding clothes, Toph herself finds herself a chair to park her butt in, and she leans back while resting her arns behind her head.

As she is asked about Sokka's choice of clothes though, she shrugs. "I'm going to leave this to Dorian, since he is the only one with seeing eyes /and/ a fashion sense around here." Strange, she doesn't look shy.
Dorian Pavus     "Be done in a moment, Toph," Dorian replies as Toph makes to sit down. And then to Sokka? "Well, let's see. If you're looking for a tropical look..." Dorian will help with color and pattern coordination, mixing solids with patterns, suggesting colors and patterns that don't clash with each other. He has, however, refrained from suggesting the more flamboyant colors. Flamboyant's his thing, not Sokka's. He suggests light and medium shades of blue with some of the more sea-toned greens. It does manage to be quite vibrant though.
Sokka Sokka blinked a few times and actually... well, aside from the hawaiian stuff, he actually was pretty good at all this as well. His eyes practically glowed as they started talking fashion and, well. "Okay, so are you sure this doesn't make me look a bit too, you know..."

He leaned in. "Noodly?" Well he did kind of have slender legs and arms and was a tiny bit sensitive about it. Just a tiny bit.

He soon came out in a nice light cerulean outfit, with darker shades around the legs and chest. And, of course, sunglasses. And his sword on his back. "So, how does it look?" he asked with a smile, leaning back.

This one was far, far better. But it wasn't as if it could have gotten worse.
Tomoe Tomoe does get out to shop, and sometimes she gets a bit off for how she shops given she has more than one body to buy clothing for and thankfully today she's out shopping for some more mundante clothing out in her most well known form that the towering form of Tomoe The Iron Lily who even out of her heavy armour still is over six fee tall and she's now just browsing about the mall pauing as she swares she just saw Dorian and Toph, along with someone else.
Toph Beifong     "You probably want to get a nice variation of clothes so you can go to different worlds and not freeze or melt, depending on the weather," Toph suggests helpfully where she's lounging in her chair... and picking her nose. "I suggest going for practical clothes, it's not like you're going to a ball. And if you need clothes for that, I'm sure Pepper can help..."

The sound of familiar footsteps however makes Toph perk up, and she turns her head a bit. "Tomoe...?" Huh, what's that big girl doing here? Not that she'll complain, it's been a while since she's met Tomoe face to face!
Dorian Pavus     "Whatever you have, flaunt it," Dorian replies to the question of Sokka looking 'noodly'. "Though perhaps you'd want to avoid wearing sleeves and trouser legs that are too wide. So you'd want to avoid... I believe they call them 'bell bottoms'? Which shouldn't be difficult, they're a fashion nightmare anyway. Some Orlesian courts would assume you were planning suicide if you wore something like that there."

He nods approvingly to the second outfit. "Much better," he replies. And he nods to Toph's remark about practical clothes. "A very good idea. You'll probably also want to find some winter accessories, too. A coat at least. Perhaps a pair of gloves, warm boots, something of the sort." He pauses as he hears Toph mention Tomoe, and looks in that direction. And he gives a wave in her direction.
Sokka Sokka sighed and gave a nod. "Yeah, I know. I probably should go for practical. But, you know what? I'm not fighting as much these days, and sometimes a guy just wants to feel pretty, you know?" He glanced to Dorian. "You know what I'm talking about, right?" He then gave a shrug. "Besides, I have my south pole armor and coats if I want to go somewhere cold. And I still have a bunch of fire nation stuff from... well, namely from when I had to go down there and deal with Zuko or other issues for aang." He gave a light yawn. "Sometimes I swear I felt like littlem ore than a glorified messenger." Just a hint of frustration in his voice.

He then glanced over. "Hm? Who's Tomoe-whoa-whoa-whoa." He stared up and up and up at that woman, his mouth falling open. Subtle, Sokka. Subtle.
Tomoe Tomoe waves at Toph.

"Hey Toph! It's been a while I just came to shop for some computer hardware. Your dad makes stuff that isn't made to break down. I'm willing to pay more for that and you know some new clothing I could use a bit." She looks over at Sokka for a moment grinning for a moment, she takes a secon to look down at Sokka. "Oh hey Sokka there...umm your jaw is broken Sokka."

She's towering over Sokka but isn't trying to be threatning she's just very tall and she's also got a shopping bag under one arm that has a Stark Logo on it.
Toph Beifong     It's not like Sokka doesn't know how to dress for cold weather, Toph assumes. After all, people who live at the South Pole should be used to the cold and know how to deal with it. Otherwise they would be dead by now.

It makes sense to buy hardware from Stark industries too, and Toph grins. "Heh, well that's why he's considered the best. And why his ego is so big..." She does quiet down when Sokka reacts to Tomoe's arrival, and then she blinks as there's a sound from her pocket. "Ah, sorry! Seems Pepper wants to have a talk with me! I'll be back in a bit!" she excuses herself, then gets up from the chair and walks off, answering her radio.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian's actually a little surprised when Sokka mentions wanting to feel 'pretty'. He knows Sokka means absolutely nothing effeminate about that statement. He nods. "I do understand that, yes," he agrees. The perfect way he's got his hair and moustache are probably enough to figure that out. As for the coat? "That is true... you come from a cold place, don't you?" He'd read about the Water Tribe being from cold places. And he shivers. "I'm not sure how anyone stands it. But yes. Between the coats and that you're probably used to the cold, you may not need cold-wear gear after all."

He chuckles at Tomoe's mention of Sokka's jaw. "Well, you are quite a striking young lady," he replies. "It's little wonder his jaw might drop upon meeting you." He gives a playful half-smile at that. Yes, he is flirting. Play-flirting, mind; he means nothing serious by it.

Toph getting up gets a nod. "Don't get lost," he cautions her. Given that tiny little smirk, though, he's probably kidding. Also Toph can hear it in his tone.
Sokka Sokka blinked, then shook his head. He then smiled up at her. "Hey, Tomoe. You're a..." Pause pause struggle think. "Real hot tamale." ... Okay it was all he could think of okay the height threw him off! He took her hand and gave it a little kiss. "Nice to meet you." He then hummed. "Actually, if Toph is headin out, I should probably go keep an eye on her. There were a bunch of weird people watching her when we walked." He shrugged. "Though, maybe I'm just paranoid."

He gave a wave, went to buy his things, then followed after his friend. "See you two later! Don't forget, you owe me a chess match later, Dorian!"
Tomoe Tomoe says "Just from not making his stuff made to break down? He's getting attention and market shares on other world. Well he can have his ego, it's nice to know a man like that recalls the small fry exists." Sure she won't by say a Stark Phone as often but she will buy other stark made items after all.

"No worries take care Toph see you later."

She waves to her friend and looks to SOkka with aa bemused look on her face, though you know troll face? It's a non malicous version of that.

"Likely security from her dad, he does own a very large company, take care oh ya Sokka? I have a boyfriend."
