Li Syaoran Li Syaoran was training. Of course he was. When was he not training?

Well, when he was with sakura. And the slight bruises on his body reminded him that, even then, he was sometimes training. A power card to the face hurt.

Still, today was a training day and the words "Burn!" could be heard, echoing through the forest as he vanquished yet another grimm. He was panting lightly when he sheathed his sword, quickly making his way and leaping up a tree to rest in the branches.

He had to give these hunters credit. Their world was a heck of a lot more dangerous than his. He wondered if Sakura had ever trained here. No, he supposed she wouldn't. This was physical, her specialty had always been magical.

A frown creased his brow. He reached into his bag and pulled out a dumpling, taking a bite out of it. Just a few minutes to relax, all he needed.
Alden Alden decided to visit the academy, after all, he was invited over several times. After hearing about the forest, and the potential dangers, he gets curious and decides to investigate a bit, taking on a slightly stronger shape, just in case.
The large fluffy wolf makes his way down the forest, when he hears another human voice and moves to investigate, sniffing the ground a bit when he can't find anyone, and begins roaming the ground beneath Li, "Would have sword I heard someone.". He notices the rests of the fight, and decides to wait for a moment, casually itching one of his ears.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna has been a student at Beacon for ... some months now? She'd have to double-check a calendar, or ask Elner, to confirm exactly how long it's been. And technically she's still a Huntress in training, so she probably shouldn't be out in the Emerald Forest all by her lonesome. But at the same time, she's an Elite member of the Union, and had saved her world a few times (not to mention her whole *universe* at least once) before enrolling at Beacon. So exceptions are made.

And hunting Grimm can be pretty good stress relief, as long as you pay attention and don't pick a fight with something you can't handle. Not that there are too many of *those* in the Emerald Forest, at Yuna's level - but she stays alert anyway.

Branches rustle near Syaoran's perch - just the next tree over, really - and then there's a brief sound of flailing, punctuated by someone grabbing hold of another branch. "Nearly plowed into you," Yuna calls out apologetically. "Sorry!"

She either hasn't taken note of Alden yet, or doesn't remember him QUITE well enough to try addressing him (by name or otherwise).
Deelel The organic world was a crazy place even after spending nearly four mega cycles here? Deelel was still sometimes overwhelmed by how chaotic it could be yet at other times? It had a beaufgy tht rivaled the grid and helped her understand why Humans and other Users like them were driven so hard to create things. She'd known of Yang's, Ruby's, Blake's and Weiss' world for some time. Yet only now was the Basic Progam coming to take a look.

She pauses as a divice on her wrist springs a holodisplay to life showing contacts near by and one of them? Digital it wouldn't take long for her to make her way towad the sounds of Li shouting Burn it was easy enough for her.
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran was halfway through his dumpling by the time he realized there was another creature down there. A frown creased his brow as he looked at the monster. another grimm, no doubt. Not one he was familiar with, but one none the less. Definitely wasn't human. He took two more big bites and swallowed his dumpling.

Then there was a girl on his right. She grabbed a tree and he looked over. Then his eyes wandered to the 'grimm'. His competitive side flared. "This one's mine," he said quickly before drawing his sword and leaping down at it. "HIYA!"

He brought his sword down at the poor creature's shoulder.

Fortunately, his reflexes WERE fast enough that if someone yelled at him to 'stop' he would be able to deflect away.
Alden The rustling noises catch the digital wolf's attention, and he looks up!. It's just in time to see the young person jumping down and swing a sword at him!. He jumps back, the blade bumping against the metal 'blade' on his own shoulder with a loud 'clank', but no real harm on the digimon. "Hey!, I'm not trying to attack!" the wolf barks, jumping back a bit further, and trying his best not to look menacing, whihc... might be a challenge.
Yuna Kagurazaka "That's not a Grimm, Syaoran!" Yuna calls out - maybe just a split second too late; she quickly drops to the ground as well, revealing that she's in her Light Suit. "Hey ... Alden, right? You okay?" the blonde idol/magical girl asks as she straightens back up from the crouch she landed in.
Deelel Deelel sees Lu, sees Alden then sees Li going right at Alden and that's when Deelel springs into action she summons a strange looking weapon. It's not really a word but it's a lot like a key, the Keyblade Dual Disc takes form in her hand and she calls ut "He's not a grim1 CEASE YOUR ATTACK!"
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran came down, his sword glancing off the armor. He pulled back and was already halfway in for another strike when the creature begged for mercy. PAH! As if he had it for--

Then someone called his name. Wait, not a grim? "Ack!" He stopped, mid strike, one foot off the air. It threw his balance off completely and he stumbled forward a few steps before his momentum carried him forward.

He landed face first on the ground, letting out a low growl into the grass before sitting up, spitting a little out. "Not a grim?" he finally asked. His ears perked a little at the 'cease your attack'. Made him feel just a smidge of annoyance that someone was trying to boss him around.
Alden The wolf winces as Li lands roughly like that, and slowly pads closer, more worried about the potential attacker than himself at the time, "Are you ok?" he asks, sitting on his haunches and shaking his head, "I'm not a Grimm, I am a digimon." he says, "I'm Alden, I think we talked on the radio before." he says softly. He smiles and waves with his tail at Deelel and Yuna, "I'm ok!, thankfully those metal things are really tough." he says. There was a small scratch mark, but nothing serious. "It's fine, I kinda forgot I look very... monsterlike, and that might be bad in a place like this.".
Yuna Kagurazaka "Grimm aren't usually that colorful," Yuna points out with a wry grin. "Mostly they're black and bony, with some red markings on their 'masks' in most cases. Their eyes tend to glow red or flame-colored, too. I thought you were taking classes here, didn't you get 'Grimm Recognition 101' yet ... ?" she asks, her grin widening a bit - not mocking Syaoran (at least, that's not her intention), but trying to be a little light-hearted about the correction.

She does walk over to him, offering her hand as for a handshake. "We 'met' on the radio, but I haven't had a chance to introduce myself in person yet. Yuna Kagurazaka, idol singer."

She pauses, glancing down at herself. "... and then some, I guess," she adds sheepishly. There's probably a story to be told.
Deelel Deelel does have an odd digital warble to her voice it's faint but there's no hiding it. The keyblade vanishes from Deelel's hand a moment Li doesn't seem to be a threat so there's no need for a weapon. She grins a bit now as she looks at the small group.

"Greetings humans and Digimon."

Deelel seems to be pretty easy on letting the incident go it looks like. "Well at least you didn't run into any full on GRIMM Hunters right?"
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran blinked. "A digimon? Oh. You were that... thing I talked to before." He then glanced to Yuna. "No, I am not taking classes here. I am merely visiting during time between my own classes. I've found that this locale has an excellent assortment of fighters and monsters with which to train against." He got to his feet and brushed himself off, his cheeks a bit red. "And I am fine." He eyes her hand before, lightly, shaking it. "Li Syaoron. You may call me Li," he corrected her.

Then Deelel said that and he cracked mentally. Slightly. "I was merely pulling back when I struck, otherwise I would have cleaved the creature in half. As Yuna-chan's call distracted me." Liar.'
Alden The wolf streetches, "You.. can call me Alden please?... I prefer not to be called a thing." he mumbles, looking away and chuckling a bit, "True, it would end with explosions and severe damage on both sides most likely." he replies, long ropey tail wagging slowly.
He lets the others get introduced, not wanting to disturb them, a momentary glare at being called creature, "It's unlikely, I mean... perhaps cutting my skin, but it takes more htan a sword to do that kind of damage, at least not in one swipe." he says softly, "Even in this fomr.". At least, Alden feels that way, if magic was involved, who knows.
Yuna Kagurazaka "I meant 'here' as in Beacon Academy, not 'right here in the middle of the Emerald Forest,'" Yuna clarifies. If Syaoran's brusqueness puts her off at all, she doesn't let it show very much. "Also ... uh. Be glad you didn't cut Alden deeper than you did." She looks to the Digimon, "You sure you're okay?"

There's also a (somewhat belated) wave towards Deelel, "Hey there! How've you been, Deelel?"
Deelel Deelel seems amused at Li and chuckles a little bit but doesn't say anyhting else on it. "Still no one got hurt which is the imporant thing, right?" She shifts her body a bit and looks to Yuna grinning. "You know the same old same old, pretending to just be a song bird while working to topple Clu when the System Monitors are not looking."
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran shook his head. "I am aware. I take classes in Japan." He paused. "My world's japan. With Sakura-chan." He kinda glowered at the wolf. "Very well, Alden..." He paused a moment. "-kun. The beasts of this world are far more deadly than the ones we typically have back home, so I have come here in order to train. I may enlist once I graduate, but for now this is more a..." How would Sakura put it? "Club activity." Only Li would consider this a club activity. Well, okay, a few others. But they were all crazy. Li wasn't crazy...

Right?
Alden The wolf nods and smiles happily, "Thank you, Li." he offers politely, and moves towards Deelel, greeting the familiar program with a friendl ynuzzle, before shaking his head, "I'm ok, thank you miss Yuna, was a pretty good hit tho." he says softly. When Li mentions training he nods, "I should do that as well, need to become better at fighting." he rumbles, ebfore adding, "Maybe you can visit my home sometime, some of my friends might like meeting you."
Deelel Deelel :Says "Ah Sakura? She's been a very good ally to the Union for a long time. Oh I see a club activity?" She tilts her head a bit and then looks to Alden for a moment and Yuna. "So your training to get stronger? You'll find no shortage of partners or teachers in the universe it is a shame the sword that cleaves evil is too busy upon his home world at the moment. I think you'd get on with him."
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran blinked a few times. His cheeks turned red and he crossed his arms. "Yes. She's... Sakura-chan is... amazing. An amazing person to... everyone she meets. And yes, I'm training to get a stronger. A lot stronger. I... still have a long way to go." At least he was willing to admit it. There was a bit of shame to his tone, though.

"Back in my home universe, there were not... quite as many able fighters. But in these new worlds I have found all number of challenges. This academy has proved to be an amazing one that i intend to use to its fullest."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna nods to Alden, but then her attention is drawn away; she actually puts her hand up to one of her earpieces, as if focusing on something being relayed through them. A moment later, she lowers her hand again, and the Matrix Divider appears, materializing so it's already being grasped with both of her hands. "Elner spotted a Boarbatusk headed this way," she comments to the others. "If it starts roll-charging, we'll need to knock it out of its roll. Or we could take to the trees and hope it ignores us."
Deelel Deelel says "Those who can admit they have more to learn can indeed get stronger. It's a lesson my people are bad at learning honestly. This is a fairly good place to learn, from what I heard of it, and what little I have seen of it's students."

She seems at be warming up to Li even with his quirks. She also looking pretty relaxed at this point.

"Hymm so we have a Grimm then?"

With that Deelel vaults like a ninja into one of the near by tree.
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran drew his sword in his right hand, a talisman in his left. "I'm not quite sure what manner of grim that is, but..." He levied its sword in the direction of the coming beast. "I'm not going to back down from a challenge. It can be no more dangerous that... some of the creatures I've faced." He stepped forward, blade out and ready to fight whatever manner of beast showed its head. He went into his proper stance, left hand out, with talismans, right hand back with the sword raised like a scorpion's stinger.
Alden The digimon nods, "I'm fine with either option, but won't drag anyone else into a fight if you think being cautious is better, I don't know much about these creatures yet.". He seems about to see about jumping on a tree, when he sees Li take his stance, this might be a good chance to see what he can do!. He decides to join and help, "I hope you won't mind if I stay close, and perhasp offer my help if needed?". He moves a few feet, before he changes!. It might be a bit of a surprise to Li at least, the large, wild looking wolf 'exploding' in a flash of light, and turning momentarily into a small, 'bipedal' yellow furred, chubby creature, wearing a pelt. "I think I need a stronger form, just in case.". He reaches around for what seems to be a card of some sort, and a small handheld device!.
There is another flash of light, followed by a short mumbling, including the words 'card slash'. Soon enough, yet another figure stands there, this one a wolf, but a bipedal one, wearing a jacket, leg armor, and sharp looking metal gloves on his hands. He seems to take position not too far from Li, to see what is coming, and help if he thinks it's necessary.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna jumps into a nearby tree as well, balancing carefully on a low branch, and taking aim with the Matrix Divider.

And then the Boarbatusk emerges from the underbrush, its massive tusks helping it push branches aside. Other than the oversized tusks, it looks a lot like a heavily-armored wild boar; in fact, it may have rather more of an exoskeleton than most creatures of Grimm display, at least of this size and presumable age.

As soon as it spots Alden and Syaoran, the Grimm charges straight at them, picking up speed in a hurry and trying to bowl Alden over. Syaoran is apparently being spared for the moment, but there's still a chance to stop the Boarbatusk before it gets up to full speed.
Deelel Deelel is already in the trees now, she doesn't summon her keyblade just yet but the disc on her back is pulled free and she wiats to arm it as the sound might give her away. Once the grm charges? Deelel will power her ID disc and throw it from her perch at the beast, hey she's not likely as tanky Li or Adlen are right? Or so she thinks at the veyr least, the disc flies like a arrow right for the behind of the Grimm!
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran flung out his talisman. As the creature came closer, he readied his incant. "The power of the unstoppable force, I bid thee, come to my aid! Quake!" The talisman went off. The ground suddenly rose up when the creature passed over it, attempting to knock its feet out from under it and then drop it at his feet.

He'd take a step back and hold out his sword towards it. "Roar of the heavens, I bid thee, come to my aid! Strike!" he yelled. Lightning would form on the blade, before shooting out in a big ball of electrical fury. Once that happened, he'd run at the creature and, more or less, strike it across the head with his blade while trying to jump on its head, lift off and flip over it, slashing twice more across the back as he flew. It would likely not damage the beast compared to his lightning, but it would hopefully distract it.
Alden Alden was not sure just how strong this beast was, so he was a bit nervous of overdoing, or even causing collateral damage, hence this form. He seems impressed at Li's talisman powers, and joins in!. He charges at the monster as it seems stunned, raising his claws, which seem to glow crimsom with power, "Kaiser Nail!" he snarls, slashing the beast with the sharp points, and unleashing the stored energy to make the impact stronger. It's not as flash as Li's move, but hopes it might be just as effective at least.
Yuna Kagurazaka Between Deelel's disc and Syaoran's earth magic, the Boarbatusk abruptly finds itself tumbling off-kilter. The lightning blast smashes into the bony plates on its head, and the following slashes actually strike chips of what might be bone from the mask and the back.

But more importantly? The creature is *down*, sprawled on its side, and too stunned to get back on its feet right away. One Kaiser Nail later, the Boarbatusk's belly has been laid open - not that there's anything in the way of distinguishable viscerae, just a mass of might-be-organic hash that starts to break down into motes of shadow.

"Nice," Yuna comments from her perch. She didn't even get a shot off.
Deelel Deelel drops out of the tree catching the disc mid drop and makes a three point landing. "The first thing you learn when your were never intended for combat by the Users? Is make certain to leanr how to fight smarter. Well done, we should be wary though I don't think GRIM travel alone do they?"
Li Syaoran Li Syaoran eyed the beast for a few moments. He took it down. No.

Correction. They took it down. He was about to snap at them for getting in his way. To tell them off, say he had it. He didn't require their assistance.

But no. Sakura may have been a little right. Maybe he was being a tiny bit of a jerk towards her friends. And... he wanted to be the li she fell in love with. He blushed a little and looked away. "Thank you for your assistance, but I've already spent too much time dallying." He wiped the edge of his blade off before sheathing it. "I'm going to go see if I can find the rest of the herd. I can handle it. Alone," he said before walking off.

How in the world had Sakura, the nicest girl ever, end up with someone so... curt. "Perhaps we'll meet again. Next time in the training arena." He gave a small wave.
Alden Alden remains uneasy until the monster vanishes into shadows, and turns towards Li when he politely, and perhaps a bit begrudgingly, thanked him and the others. He offers a bow of his own before the 'teen' can make his way off, "Be careful." he says softly, before turning to the others, "I hope he will be ok."
