Eryl Fairfax     Vancouver City Hall.

The last place anyone would expect Daisy and her group of scallywags. Perhaps that's why they chose it as their newest hiding place. Or perhaps it's some wondrous coincidence. After all, anything designating it as a place of office has long been buried under the dust that was once the Canadian Rockies.

Only the twelve storey clock tower remains, the top ten floors poking from the loose earth. It looks ruined and untouched, same as most everything else in the city. But there are signs of another 'road' of rubble being built in the dust, some larger holes covered with patched-together worn costumes...

This was all discovered by ReGenesis. Ever since the incident at the museum, they've been sweeping the city from the sky. That, and the bounty on the head of Mitsu Mirage for the most powerful technology they have indicates that they have no patience for interference with their humanitarian efforts.

Speaking of air, this is the means of arrival. This time, ReGenesis wants a co-ordinated effort on this one. Two of their modular VTOLs flies towards City Hall, not even bothering to mask their approach. What could a bunch of theatre fans possibly do?

The Elites are crammed in with the more 'conventional' soldiers of the EDF. Once again, they're partnered with the dreaded warrior William Davidson, the jovial albino Phillip Troch, the elderly Lily Cooper, the serious Bonnie Moon, and the disdainful Jamie Tsu. The cyborg Tabitha Reston is not with them though. Perhaps in the other ship?

"Proportional force people!" Lily state clearly, being the ranking solider. "Don't kill them unless not doing so will get you killed! We're all stronger than they are, no need to flaunt it!" And then, as if the Fates were having their own little joke, an urgent call from the pilot. "They're packing EMPG!"

And indeed, one of those cobbled-together curtains on the fifth floor have been thrown back, and one of those mimes strides out, a giant tube carried on his shoulder. He aims at the other VTOL and fires, the explosive within launched via electromagnetic propulsion before afterburners kick in to guide it.

The VTOL is forced to swerve and deploy some kind of magnetic shield to force the rocket away, taking it off course. "First insertion is down to us people! Let's go!" Their ride hovers over the clock tower roof, the rear doors opening for everyone to disembark. It's... quiet. There's a hatch door in the floor to get inside... or they might rappel down the sides.
Mitsu Mirage     Hearing about the job gives Mitsu a lot of info... to skulk around in a beat up car that just so happened to have some keys in it. "We're following those aircraft." she mentions, kicking the car into high gear, speeding up towards where those VTOL's are headed. "Appreciate you coming along, I mean, last time i did this alone and man did they /not/ like me." she smirks, leaning back in the driver's seat with a hand on the wheel... "Could use some better tunes out here though, kinda boring."

"To catch you up to speed, Camilla, I took a job to disrupt some humanitarian efforts that were going on, ended up killing a few people... I swear it was just an accident, lightning doesn't care /what/ it hits. Saw that hover tank, wanted it... but those bastards destroyed it before I had a chance to commandeer it." she shrugs, "So... now I'm a wanted woman here and well, I got jipped on some pay so we're gonna pay a few people some lessons... and maybe occupy a tank if there's one there."
Camilla Ulyssa     Mitsu is indeed not alone! A foxgirl trails after her, wearing a very large military jacket like a cape over another military coat, gray hair tied to one side of her head and reaching down to just about her thighs. Two large sword sheaths hang behind her, secured to her by half a dozen straps and belts, mechanical in appearance and not subtle in the slightest. She seems distracted as Mitsu talks, looking at the world around them instead.

"Reminds me of home, only more high-tech and with less people," she says, not actually addressing a single thing Mitsu said, much less revealing if she was even listening.

<BEEP,> the sheaths ping, a smooth but flat male voice, with just a bit of a robotic tint. Camilla stretches her arms up and behind her neck, lazily.

"I get you, being wanted has its downsides. Has its upsides too if you love the challenge though! I can't go anywhere back home without getting SOME attention, it's a great excuse to start fights, you know?" Fighting. She did seem to enjoy the prospect.

"Mars, quit being an ass, can you map the area?"
    <BEEP.>
    "God damnit."
Rory White So long as the drop's not too high, Rory White doesn't even bother much with care leaping out the back. She goes rolling over the roof, transitioning from a humanoid mode to some kind of four-legged gecko walk. This is only possible because TODAY, SHE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HUMAN APPEARANCE.

Instead, she's an uncanny humanoid mass of circuit-seamed metal that flows and shifts weirdly with the slightest movement. As if it was made not of hard-mounted parts... but shifting sand. It flexes and stretches as metal cannot do, but it is unmistakably metal nonetheless.

And some large canisters are strapped to the Flexbot's back, the kind used for storing chemicals.

In human form, Rory's mvoements are usually slow and measured. At best she can manage some decent leaps and dive-rolls when forced into trouble.

This Flexbot, though, under her guidance it moves like a spider, a snake, and a dashing fox ALL AT ONCE. It's a truly eerie thing to watch the robot crawl STRAIGHT DOWN THE BUILDING'S SIDE as if it weighed nothing at all...

She is ANGRY, and she's going to utterly humiliate these performers, at the very least, in vengeance.

That's why she has FOUR CANISTERS of Freezer Foam.
Mel Brock     Mel Brock has not been involved in events to date. But a Union ally has need of someone experienced in making arrests, and also capable in a fight. So today, the Sol Territories Alliance's finest have a presence on the scene, the crimson form of the Firestarter's chaser vehicle flying in formation with the ReGenesis VTOL ships.

It's Marshal Brock's way to take her own craft whenever she can, but she can at least link up comms with the forces in either ship. "Read you loud and clear, Cooper. STA Marshals don't make a habit of excessive force unless absolutely n-"

Mel's hands jerk the control yoke, reflexively evading before reaching over to switch ship defenses on. But... aw shit, she's gonna have to set down like this. Well, nothing for it.

The Chaser dips down over the roof, and its pilot keys in a 20-second delay before autopilot will kick in... only to hop out, turn around, and hold a hand out towards her ship. With a sudden burst of telekinesis, she FLINGS it, high up into the air, as hard as she can. And way up there, the autopilot kicks in, righting the craft and putting it in a holding pattern.
Kotone Yamakawa So here we were once more in the corpse of what was Vancouver, the city hall took a little while for Kotone to get an idea of just what this place was. She also knows ReGenesis wants them to br working together the VTOLS are movingin and making ready to strike. She's crammed in with the rest of the personel.

"Don't worry, I'm packing freezer foam and I'm pretty sure that Rory is too. It shouldbeable to keep them disabled when twe need it.

Kotone shimmers a she leaves the transport.

<<Rory? Time to make them face the music no?>>

She also takes note of Mel and hr sword as they get ready to roll into this s wlel however kotone's trying to move on ahead and find a way in, it's time to make the mimes face the music.
Heaven's Armory     Hravn is right there with Mel, in her scabbard. The sword isn't talking, exactly, but is definitely thinking, and sharing impressions with her wielder.
A vertical battle-space is just fine with her. There's a lot of her element to work in.
Eryl Fairfax     Mitsu and Camilla commandeer a car from an apartment building's enclosed carpark! Cars had gone out of vogue in the Before Times in favour of personal teleporters, according to uncovered records. But some were still floating around... literally in this case, as this car is of the hover variety! Allowing them to skim over the thick dust as they speed towards town hall.

Rory climbs down the side of the clocktower! The many gaps in the wall make the descent pretty treacherous. But you know what else would have made dangerous? The big pair of garden shears that poke out of a hole at the 9th floor and cuts at the air above Rory, expecting to find a rope. A pair of startled eyes regard her form before withdrawing into the darkness.

The roof team begins their entrance, the door hatch blasted open via Jamie's shotgun. Inside is what remains of the workings, gears and weights long rusted beyond usefulness. But what remains is actually turning... and interconnected by long ropes of tied together handkerchiefs, constantly moving thanks to the gears. The ReGenesis soldiers stare in disbelief. "Is this an actual trap, or are we expected to think it's a trap so they have time to prepare the REAL traps downstairs?" Phillip says rapidly as he carefully examines the nearest rope.

A call suddenly rings out over the radio from Tabitha, who WAS on the second craft it seems. "We got an unidentified vehicle moving at high speeds towards City Hall!" Mitsu and Camilla have been spotted, it seems.
Mel Brock     For a moment, as they open the door, Mel's hand reaches back behind her, settling on the grip of her partner-slash-weapon. "Don't know, don't care," she replies to Phillip. "Stand back, I'm going for the Alexander solution." The psychic focuses her will for a moment, linking with Hravn to call forth a wind barrier that fills the entire doorway - giving those present plenty of protection. Then, she reaches out with her own power, telekinetically grasping hold of not just the handkerchief ropes, but at least one gear - whichever one seems most critical to this makeshift contraption, that she can see.

And with her brute strength, one hard wrench should be all it takes to tear it all away and crush the gear in question.
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu grins a bit, giving a light nod to the foxgirl near. "Well, starting fights is nice and all, but revenge is even better. See that aircraft up there? The VTOL? Blow it up. OH, and jump from the car, I'm going to make an entrance to the building." she grins this strange grin before punching it, setting any sort of cruise control and... locking the steering wheel... by breaking it. "Banzai~!" she shouts and JUMPS out of car and tumbles into the ground, letting the car speed off into Town Hall.

She flops around on the ground some and sprawls, laughing, "That was fun!" she giggles, hopping up and doing a few bunny bounces in place "Kratzenfaust, set up. Let's go play." <Understood. Stand by, set up.> comes Kratzenfaust's voice, erupting the girl in a flash of light and leaving her in her barrier jacket bodysuit. Mysteriously, those rabbit ears she had in Vale are hidden and soon, she's off like a rocket towards hopefully the new found hole. "Shocker Shield!" and she's covered in a ball of lightning as she rushes her way towards town hall, bouncing here and there.
Camilla Ulyssa     The car speeds along, with Camilla still infinitely more concerned about the surroundings than anything being said to her. This place is more futuristic than the place she's from but more depressing, how does that even work? You'd think high-tech would be cooler, but this world is empty. Boring? It's a similar sentiment for sure. Green eyes close and she sighs, before being told she has to blow something up, causing her to finally pay attention.

After a brief ot telepathic radio communication, she finally pipes up: "Mars! Wheel of fate, spin!" And her swords reply, <BEEP.>

She hops up, literally out of the car. She floats in place, the car continuing along its path with Mitsu onboard. Camilla unsheathes both blades, and along the surfaces runes begin blinking in and out of existence. Like... a slot machine? The motions of the runes along the surface of the blades is pretty similar. They stop, eventually, three runes appearing fully on both weapons.

"Ass, quit beeping and let's do this."
<You detest fun. Your fate is sealed: small fire bolt.>
"Oh come ON, she asked me to show off."
    <BEEP.>

Camilla grumbles loudly, as she slowly gains altitude, hovering lazily upward into the sky. She points both swords forward, the weapons gleam with fire-- and then, well, fireballs. One fireball shoots out of each blade, growing to about a meter in diameter. They rocket towards the VTOL, with fairly obvious intent.
Rory White Rory White-Flexbot freezes the moment her scanners detect movement that isn't her own. Her weird form tilts forwards, showing a row of several sensors that don't even remotely resemble eyes or a face. Indeed, this body has nothing at all like a face or a mouth or anything one would expect the four-legged invertebrate shape it seems to be mimicking would possess. A side panel on the Flexbot opens up and spits out a silvery Caterpillar-bot that clings to the wall... then she crashes through a window and starts storming through the building moving for a stairwell, engaging THERMAL IMAGING...

Which, for such old world construction, is quite capable of seeing right through a wall or two!
Eryl Fairfax     Mel rips apart the whole trap while protecting everyone with swirling winds. As it turns out, this was the correct choice; nothing happens. The gears are uprooted, the lines disrupted, and nothing triggers. "Heh. Good job," William says before taking point on the stairs leading down.

On this floor, many desks and tables have been set up into barricades... and it looks like the mimes were in the process of setting up directional mines when everyone showed up. "Shit, they're he-" one started to say, breaking that constant silence before William shoots him once in the chest. Whatever is in those guns put him out like a light. But the others marshal up and hide behind the barricades before taking pot shots. Time for a proper shootout!

Meanwhile, down below, Mitsu charges at the wall of the tower! The car rams right through the weakened structure, leaving a hole for her to infiltrate. She enters into what was once a large bedroom, based on the amount of bunks she send flying with that car. Women and children cling together and stare in horror as the brawler enters.

All except Daisy, who strides up with a grin and a twirling cane. "Dollface, good to see you! Keeping well I hope?"

Meanwhile, Camilla ascends to the heavens, sending a meagre blast of fire at the VTOL! It immediately disengages... but not before dropping its payload. Most of the body falls away, leaving only the cockpit, a rectangular frame and the lift systems to quickly evade. The body plummets, struck by the fireball and breaking apart... revealing a very large, angry cyborg that falls towards the woman.

"Surprise, bitch," says Tabitha Reston before cocking back a robofist to punch at Camilla!

Rory enters into the floor underneath the rest of her team! Several mimes step back in surprise at her alien appearance... and actually try to feel downstairs! Some trip and fall over their own barricades, making them easy prey for her foam.
Mel Brock     As the group from the rooftop makes their way inside, Mel is careful to set up her own barrier- this time, one of her own telekinetic power, angled in such a way as to deflect shots upward rather than try to stop them cold. She /could/ with most ordnance, but this is much more efficient. She also walks calmly, at the same time drawing out Hravn with her left hand and keeping the sword low at her side. Her right hand is held out and forward, a semi-subconscious nod towards her own efforts at maintaining the barrier. "Alright, let me tell you how this is gonna work, folks. You can either throw down your weapons and surrender, or I can telekinetically grab all that junk and relocate it behind you so that you have nowhere to run. If you make me go that route, I guarantee this is gonna be a lot rougher on all of you, so please surrender peacefully. I'm sure your cooperation will reflect well on you."
Sanary Rondel Dammit, Confederacy. You just had to give Sanary ideas, didn't you? Now she's hovering towards the tower at a relatively brisk pace, keeping low to the ground and looking less like someone in flight and more like someone dangling by their hands and feet from the gray loops around them held by an invisible stick carried by invisible people on both ends. As stupid as it looks, though, Sanary looks mostly comfortable during her approach, and she stops only when she sees...

Exploding things. Someone's attacking camilla, an aircraft looks like it just shed most of itself, and... Yeah, this is probably the right place. "Hey!" She calls out and grunts as she just drops right on the ground on top of her shield, picking herself up moments later and thrusting a hand out towards Camilla. "... Uh. What are /you/ doing here?!"

That's the best she could come up with. Still, it's something to try and grab her attention before the loop around Sanary's wrist deforms into a brick, then gets launched right for the cyborg. It's not particularly fast, but it's a fairly dense brick made of something resembling steel! Meanwhile, more of those bricks are starting to form around the one-eyed coat-wearer.
Kotone Yamakawa As the group make their entrace along with eveyrone else she keeps herself cloaked as she's moving in while the chaos about her Mel is able to rip the trap apart and she's thankful for that but it seems that they have other trouble coming after them. the majority of the VTOL gets away, okay the crew gets away with a flying skeleton but hey it could be wors and Tabitha is going to deal hopefully with Camilla. Meanwhile Kotone is going to try to keep moving she's going to end up following after Rory but she's cloaked. She'll attempt to go after those mimes who have not yet fallen to Rory or might be trying to run she'll end up decloaking when she needs to and unloading the freezer foam. However she will be exposed and vunrable while she does so.
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu makes a very energetic entrance... with a car breaking through and Mitsu following in right after it... only to see women and children. She blinks a bit, "Eh... umm. Sorry?" though, the voice who calls out to her catches her ears and she turns to look at her. "Hello, dollface.." she replies, "I've come to collect on what you owe me... so, I'd rather take my money peacefully, soo.... you good with that or shall I beat it out of you?" she frowns, "OH, and they..." she points at the women and children.

"I think they don't need to see what happens when you piss off the Rabbit!"
Rory White "We offered peaceful trade. We offered reconstruction. We offered security. We offered a future. And you BETRAYED US." Her tone's angry, bitter, and disappointed all at once. It begs a question...

    '/WHY?/'

The robo-spider-thing skitters after the Mimes, turrets on its back sweeping and splattering strategic, nanite-laced splashes of a yellowish fluid with perfect trajectory calculations! Leading every target with laser-measured mathematical precision and the rapidity and focus that only a guidance AI could provide. SQUIRT SQUIRT SQUIRT!

The stuff begins expanding RAPIDLY in seconds.

Rory's gonna be leaving behind a lot of POOF-ENCASED MIMES in her wake.

BNobody's being left behind. The goop contains tagger nanites so it won't be POSSIBLE to lose or forget someone here. They won't wash out easily even if someone does manage to dig themselves out!

She scoots her way to the nearest stairwell and scans up, scans down... where are the most targets?
Camilla Ulyssa     Oh that VTOL can split. That's cool!
Oh it's falling towards her. Less good.
Oh someone BURST OUT OF IT. THAT is actually good.

Camilla grins, twirling the blades in her hands with anticipation. "BRING IT, GAL!" It's the intent that counts, right? She needs to work on her small talk.

Tabitha's punch slams into the young woman's clothes-- they're like steel. She flinches from the impact, but doesn't end up being launched back. No, instead, her swords shift, in a sudden flash of light and clicking sounds, like clockwork. <Form - Pugnus.>

Gauntlets. Huge, armored gauntlets, dark grey and black. The swords are gone, but from the gauntlets' appearance one could easily guess the swords morphed. It explains the weird mechanical design.

One hand moves to catch Tabitha, whose fist is likely still against Camilla's chest. The other cocks back, ready to strike. "Come on, let's take this INSIDE! Where everyone else is!" Camilla punches, as flames gush out of the one gauntlet, another fireball. But this one's accompanied by a strike, and the foxgirl lets go of Tabitha just as she (might) land her punch, trying to send her flying back, violently, towards the building.

Towards one of the floors she can perceive movement on.
Eryl Fairfax     Several shots ping off of Mel's barrier, the ReGenesis soldiers staying behind her and letting her talk. It's a tense moment... and a couple actually step around their barricades to surrender. Only to be suddenly shot in the back by an older, more grizzled mime. He glowers at Mel and the group, drawing a thumb across his neck before retreating, and leaving the rest to fight.

It's not a very long one, needless to say. Between the trained soldiers, the psychic, and the cloaked cyborg, they don't stand a chance.

Outside, Tabitha is knocked away, towards City Hall. Jets built into her body slow her enough that she can grab the exterior rather than crash through, and also adjust her trajectory enough to dodge that brick. A helmet emerging from her body to shield her head as she glowers balefully at the two Confederates. "I'm here to deal with Mirage. But I guess if you're her friends, you're next on the list anyway.

And then her chest opens up to reveal electromagnetic machine guns which saturate the air around the two with bullets.

Down in the bedrooms, Daisy smirks at Mitsu and very slowly and deliberately, hugs two of those children to her side, pulling them from their mothers. "Aw, it's okay toots. I think they can stay and learn a thing about charity! You did all that for free, right? Took out some machine men for the good of the world, at no charge. You did the right thing, yeah?"

Rory guns down the mimes peacibly, leaving behind many bundles of foam that restrict their form. Being mimes, they have no answer for her. Or that might be the stuff constraining their mouth.

Either way, the elderly mime from upstairs arrives and sees her ranting. From his belt, he produces a grenade, pulls the pin, and rolls it at her feet. Upon exploding, it unleashes an EMP blast!

And then he takes out a crowbar. Time for some dismantlement.
Rory White Rory's optics swivel back and forth, locking onto the Elderly mime and the grenade. She's not stupid enough to just sit there and take that!

<Beware! They have grenades!> She radios.

All her legs bend down and compress like springs and send her sailing backwards but ---

    BZOOOOOOOM!!

It's a hell of a lightshow of electrical arcs spazzing EVERYWHERE from the Flexbot's body... and down it goes. It seems like the plan worked!

    ... Right?

    Not... quite.

Her radio's gone largely dark. The TacNet's down. She blips off the link with Kotone! And off of ReGenesis systems, for that matter.

She's cut off from her drones. Cut off from her nanites - in fact, the entire swarm of tracers was just disabled and fried.

    But...

Just as the Mime's committing to that strike, her SPRAY-TURRETS MOVE and serve up a heaping helping of goop at nearly point blank. Of course, she SKITTERS away just in time to avoid the crowbar. Sparks fly as it scrapes a leg, leaving a nasty 'scar' that seems to crawl and writhe, slowly filling in.

"That move deserves applause. It would have worked. But EMP grenades are sadly a century outdated where I'm from. None of my circuitry's made of metal."
Sanary Rondel Sanary's expression drops a bit when that brick goes sailing past Tabitha. Not that she was really expecting it to hit, but... Well, if nothing else? Dividing her attention between Sanary and Camilla means Camilla's probably got a better shot at taking her out with only half the attention her way. That just leaves Sanary to take advantage of her shield to defend herself from the hail of tiny projectiles.

"Keh... That the best you got? I got hit with arrows worse than that!" She taunts while bracing that riot shield in front of her, some of those gray bricks converging and seeming to melt into the front of the shield to give it even more padding against the bullets. Instead of firing the others at the cyborg, however, Sanary instead starts backing off.

She hoists up that shield, and then she taps two fingers to her head. "Ah. Gotta run, but you two play nice now!" And then Sanary breaks into an run, aiming to get inside that tower with the shield on her back to keep her from turning into a red paste. Mitsu needs backup, after all, so it's time for her to try and provide the Rabbit with just that!
Mel Brock     Mel watches in quiet horror as two surrendering criminals are shot in the back by their own ally. She very nearly unloads on him right then and there - but she's got far more concern for the two that just got shot. "Shitshitshit-!" Heedless of the remaining criminals, Mel lunges in to the two on the ground, quickly trying to administer first aid as best she can; after a moment or two, she seems to think of where she is, and with no warning at all, the makeshift barrier suddenly floats up and /slams/ itself into place behind the remaining hostiles. They now have no cover whatsoever. "Bloodthirsty son of a-" she mutters, before standing up and looking at the ReGenesis crew - and barking orders, in a tone that brooks no argument. "Cover these two! I'm going after the runner. Hravn!"

Focusing the power of wind into the blade itself, Mel drives the long blade of the nodachi down into the ground itself, turning a quick spin so that it carves a hole in the floor underneath her. Express elevator, going down - right down, in fact, to a spot right behind the mime attacking Rory.

She puts her right hand on his shoulder to spin him around, and as soon as he's looking at her, she drives it squarely into his face with as much force as she can muster.
Camilla Ulyssa     "Friend is a pretty generous word! We just met, but she was there offering a job that might yield a FIGHT, so I couldn't just say no. Now come on, focus on me! If you split your aim like that you're never going to challenge me!"

It's not entirely true, seeing as how a number of the bullets, as they impact her clothes, cause her to flinch again. The clothes don't seem to be getting pierced, but they don't seem to be absorbing the whole hits either. Tabitha'd know, if she has experience, it's like bulletproof vests. You'll still bruise pretty hard under them.

"I wish -I- had guns in my chest. Well, whatever! Mars! Wheel of fate, spin!" There's a click, and the runes that had appeared previously disappear from the gauntlets' surface. A flurry of new runes appear, spinning, until three stop and appear fully.

<Your fate is sealed: multiple water blasts.>
"You ARE doing this on purpose."
<I'm sorry, I thought you were badass. Make do, badass.>
    "/MARS/."
    <BEEP.>

Camilla grunts, clenching her fists. Water forms around her hands, and she launches herself towards Tabitha, going for a relentless flurry of punches using both hands, which does mean tanking that machinegun fire on the way to her. Each blow causes an explosive blast of water, comparable to a shotgun being fired. She's pressuring, trying to push Tabitha towards and into the building, rapidly changing her angle of attack as needed to accomplish this using sudden bursts of speed.

Most unusual is probably the fact she seems to be holding back. She's managed to adapt her strength to Tabitha's resilience from the one strike. Are her eyes good enough to tell?
Heaven's Armory     Hravn is a blade both sharper and stronger than most worlds have seen, but she's still only a few feet long. This is enough to stab through wall, floor, pipe or support beam with a bit of strength and a good angle, but her magic activates as soon as Mel has need of it. In the same way that she solidified barrier earlier, here she solidifies a whip of air, a slashing force with an edge as sharp as her own, extending from her blade and cutting out out convenient swathes of obstruction past what Mel swings her against.
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu faces down Daisy and clenches her fists, the palptable twinge of lightning in the air as they dance around the clawtips of Kratzenfaust. "Grrr.... how dare you bring those children into this." she scowls a bit... "I'm not above killing you... but to use children as shields? You're worse than the TSAB agents I'm tryin' to dissolve." she grumbles, smashing her fist into the wrecked car... "I hate leaving without my prize, but..." she stares at the children...

She sighs and shakes her head, there's no safe way to discharge electricity... and if she tries to Tazer Whip... those kids are in the way... she punches the car again and growls... "That's okay.. you can use them as shields. I know someone who can come and fix them up and NOT you, you monster." the claws flare to life once more, the lightning dances over them. "If you don't want them hurt and your heart fried to a crisp... i suggest you let them go... and give me my money.... or we shall be... in a unique predicament."
Eryl Fairfax     The grizzled mime is blasted, but he's a pretty quick step, The crowbar is knocked from his hands, quickly encased in foam. He looks about, at his trapped companions... and smirks. Taking out his gun again, he levels it... at his own head. "Do that to yourself right now, machine man. Or have my blood on your soulless appendages."

But then, Mel carves through the roof with Hravn, making the building shudder and reel. The place might not be safe after that, but she has clear access to that dirtbag mime now! The punch sends him reeling, the gun falling from his hand. He's down!

Outside, Tabitha is harshly pummelled by water strikes! The building cracks and shudders around her as she is slammed against it... but as it turns out, her resistance is quite high. Each blow is absorbed by multiple layers of non-Newtonian fluid armour and vulcanized rubber. Such endurance against blows and electricity...

This body was made to fight Mitsu. But it'll do fine against Camilla too. Maybe she should have stuck with the sword form.

Tabitha suddenly fights back! While she was being pummelled, a long rod had extended from her forearm. She thrusts her palm at the foxgirl, and the rod suddenly flies extends, accelerating rapidly to erupt from that palm and try to send her flying into Sanary!

Downstairs, Daisy smirks and kneels down, keeping the children right next to her chest, to her heart that Mitsu is threatening. "I'm not about to take a lesson on morality from someone who killed several people for coin, dear~ At least I'm honest about it. Folks like you, who claim to do evil for greater good? Such a tired archetype darling, just admit that you're the monster in that little feud you're talking about."

As Mitsu mentions knowing someone who can heal them, Daisy only laughs. "Oh~? You trust them that much? Trust them with their lives? Children are very fragile you know. And that stuff spreads preeeeetty easily~ Let's see if your 'third option' pans out. Go on, kill me and hurt these two. Maybe they'll live, maybe they won't. Let's see what you're made of. The antihero who will cast aside revenge when it becomes to costly? The well-intentioned monster who will kill to get her way? C'mon, pick your poison! Eventually, the world will swallow you up either way!"
Rory White The blank, expressionless front end of Rory's spider'ish body (four legged or not, it sure follows that kind of shape) can only stare at this freaky turn of events!

For a good few seconds. She's simply motionless. An instinct screams up - listen to him! ... or he'll kill himself...

    "..."

Several awkward moments pass. A horrible torrent of conflicting emotions and ideas flow through Rory White's Cyberbrain.

The spider-bot sort of shudders, an oddly human thing to do.

And then one of its limbs reaches out and pantomimes reaching out, grabbing a doorhandle, and SLAMMING CLOSED the invisible door.

Then THE CEILING STARTS CRASHING DOWN! Her optics sweeeeerve up to try and figure out what's happening--

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM here comes Mel!
Camilla Ulyssa     "Come on, say something! You can fight AND talk, can't you?" Camilla tries to gaud Tabitha, but with little success. The fight is entertaining enough, at least-- this robotic woman is proving to have very cool gimmicks, and she's not too shabby. She's actually pretty good, all things considered. Camilla wonders, given a second, third or fourth chance, if she could improve. Would she return with more toys? Better toys? Both?

One blow to her chest pushes Camilla back, finally. It's a few feet, not the desired effect of sending her screaming towards Sanary, but it's the biggest push Tabitha's gotten yet. A brief pause, as the fox-eared young woman actually needs to catch her breath, and then her grin widens. "Damn, that rod's a neat trick! Knocked the air right outta my lungs. But I'm not budging. You might be used to dealing with the rabble, but the name's Camilla, and I'm a Deus. Step your game up, come on! Strike like you intend to kill me, not like you want to get at that other girl behind me! Mars, spin it again!"

The same clicks, the whirring and flashing of runes on the surface of the gauntlets, until three become solid and the motions stop. Mars announces, simply:

<Your fate is sealed: multiple holy lasers.>
"Heh! C'mon then, missy cyborg robot thing! Whatever you are! LIKE YOU MEAN IT, LIKE YOU WANT TO HIT -ME-. Make me bleed under these clothes!" Light gathers around her, bright gold and white. She doesn't dash back into melee, but as she throws one fist forward, a barrage of holy lasers-- thin, absurdly fast streaks of light-- launches towards Tabitha, trying to cut, scorch and burn. A few errant streaks might even carve into the building at random. It depends on how Tabitha decides to dodge.
Mitsu Mirage     She's not budging and those bolts of lightning are dancing faster upon her claws. She looks at everyone around her and frowns, shaking her head some as her hair stands up on end. "Those murders were an accident... and the blood is on your hands for even sending me. But if you wish to play the morality card, then we can do that." she gets into a stance and scowls, there's shotgun sounds that echo throughout the area. One... Two... Three. "Damanable wench."

She takes breath and stares at her... maybe she can time this right... maybe she doesn't /have/ to wound them... "Your play is over. And your life is mine... children, I'm sorry, this may hurt but you won't be hurt by this ... devil of a woman any longer. The Rabbit promises." she gulps a bit, the stakes are high, but... she has no real choice in the matter, she stands in the way. Soon, she pulls out something from her belt and starts laughing and soon, a pair of holes open up... one in front of Mitsu.

And one right in front of Daisy's chest, close to her heart.

She points Kratzenfaust at the hole and with one claw, she just continues to laugh. "Die. Claw launch!" and with a THUNK of magic energy, that claw SHOOTS through the Rabbit Hole and out the other end! If she's somehow super human... she'll avoid hitting the children... and a stab wound in the heart should definitely kill the demon woman...
Heaven's Armory     Well, all that structural damage could be dangerous in proceeding moments. The mime is down, at least--no further, complex plans for safely taking him down will be necessary, which is just as well. Hravn transmits a profound dissatisfaction with a man who would shoot his allies in the back and then hold himself hostage. That being done with for the moment, however, she further sends Mel a few suggestions on placing air-blocks in the way of what they'd cut out on the way down. It's not terribly strong, but should work as a band-aid for half an hour or so.
Mel Brock     "You," Mel growls, stepping over the now-downed mime, "Are /under arrest/." She's got some space-age cuffs on her; essentially fancified zipties, they're nevertheless durable, and will ensure the mime won't be doing anything sudden and dangerous. And just to make double certain, she pats him down, tossing aside any nasty hold-out weapons she finds. "Resisting arrest, two extra charges of attempted murder, or murder in the second depending how good the medical care here is, assault with a deadly weapon, I'd bet dollars to DippinStix you've got some illegal weaponry on you... Cripes, you have made some bad life choices today." Mutter mutter growl mutter lucky I'm a cop mutter.

Hravn receives the same dissatisfaction echoed - if anything, perhaps even moreso. She's deeply angry and unhappy with it on a personal level, but even now she's masking it under professionalism. Clinging to her responsibility to the badge to keep herself honest, so to speak. And once the guy's cuffed, she takes the sword up again and looks up at the hole with a frown. "...well, it sure beats pulling off my limiter and holding the whole building up."

Probably for her own focus, Mel lifts Hravn up and points the weapon's blade at the hole almost as if it were a wand, and focuses through that to create the temporary air constructs that will at least buy them some time.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is not expecting a situtionquite like this as she makes it in she is cloaked and is slowing down now. She could try freezer foam but that's not the best idea. Shelistens to them talk about being souless. God it sounds like the Human Liberation front she shifvers but she moves in her intend is to try anf snatch the gun away from him before he can fire. She does not trust her self for opening fire in a situation like this.

She was going to move in cloaked as quietly as she can moving to snatch the gun with one hand and then get the man with the shock glove on the other. Which should be enough to stun an normal human. Well that was her plan until Mel drops in like the wrath of the old testament god. Kotone just staring for a moment there. She'll act to pick up the gun however to make sure no one else moves to grab it before someone else goes for it.

With the building starting to come apart she moves to grab the man to haul him out.

"We need to get the mimes and then get the hell out! Mel's got the right idea."
Sanary Rondel Something's coming for her, isn't there? Any second now, there's going to be a painful impact, and the best Sanary can do in her haste is brace for impact! Thankfully, the impact never seems to come, and she just beelines for the inside of the tower. "Heh... Good work, Camilla!" She shouts out in response, although she can't really spare a moment to turn around and make sure she's not getting shot at by something or someone. FOr now, the shield's just going to have to be her only direct... Well, shield against rear attacks!

And once/if Sanary gets inside? She takes the shield off her back, picks a direction, and just has to hope it takes her towards the stairs leading down where Mitsu and Daisy are instead of running into literally anyone else shield-first. Those magical floating bricks would trail behind her as well, bouncing off walls and making her entrance a little noisier on the way through.
Eryl Fairfax     Tabitha finally speaks as Camilla demands that she fight harder. "Fuck you," she says through a speaker on her body. "I have more important things to do than satisfy your masochistic streak." It is at that moment that the news of the building possibly coming down reaches her, and she starts to diesgage to get inside and hold it up.

And then those holy lasers carve through her body, rendering it so much scrap. "SHIT!" Her head suddenly... flies off from it, trailing a mechanical spinal cord as it ascents towards the VTOL on the roof, the pilot coming out to grab her.

The hole is placed. The claw is launched. And Daisy is struck through the heart, her cruel smirk shifting into one of pain surprise. "Ghhk... deus ex machina... no fair..." She slumps, and those children get out from under her to cling to their mothers, everyone looking at Mitsu fearfully.

All except one of them, who marches up to Daisy's bleeding corpse, and relieves it of a radio. She speaks into it, saying pleadingly, "Everyone, Daisy is dead. You don't have to fight, so please... just surrender. Come back safely. Please..."

Mel, Kotone, and Rory would have no problems after that. All the mimes surrender, with no shooting in the back this time. Everyone is secured, and Bonnie reassures Mel that the two that were shot will live. Daisy is dead... but after interviews, it's confirmed that that's no huge loss really. Extra VTOLs that were waiting in the wings fly in to assist with the evacuation, and everyone living makes it out safely.

Mitsu remains at large, after her deal. It very clearly pains the EDF soldiers to let her go, but she did help with the evacuation in the end. But her bounty remains.
