Albert Wesker     Wyoming - Nice and quiet and out of the way, with nothing of note except for the odd hostile wind here and there.

It's the last place anybody will expect to find a CIA safe house, which is what the agency was banking on. Operatives from the BSAA have been inserted covertly to provide security for the VIP, and the installation is a small farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.

Hard to spot to the naked eye, there are snipers along the roof of the farmhouse, and there is sensor equipment everywhere as the inhabitants wait for Langley's reps to show up and pick up Dr. Bryce Jennings.

THe quiet won't last long, as their sensors pick up the arrival of an unmarked helicopter, carrying a pair of drop pods.

Aboard the helicopter itself, Wesker watches intently with a pair of binoculars. He furrows his brow, before nodding to the pilots. "Drop the pods."

"Deploying package. One national security incident coming right up..."

Like meteors, the pods impact in the fields with craters formed, causing the security staff to jump right to their feet with weapons ready. Already a small group of 4x4s are pulling up, their drivers carrying M4 carbines.

They're severely under equipped, as the pods open up to reveal a pair of T-103 Tyrants, clutching rotary barrel miniguns. One of the impassive titans lets loose with automatic fire, a loud BRRRRT echoing in the night sky. Guess Umbrella isn't going for stealth here tonight.
Sanary Rondel Armor: Check. Shields: Check. Megaphone: Check. Fresh eyepatch and goggles to keep her eyes clear of debris: Check.

Now all that's left for Sanary to do is get to the ground. It doesn't take much convincing, of course, since her only other option is staying in a goddamn helicopter. The healer practically dives right out of that flying deathtrap as the Tyrants are already beginning to fire, using both the anklets worn underneath her heavy armor and the gray loops around her limbs to steady her descent before...

... Landing right on one of the T-103's backs. In retrospect, that probably wasn't her best plan since even with a slowed fall, landing with armor is still quite painful! At least she's got healing magic coursing through her to alleviate some of the pain and bruising, and then she's linking herself up with the lucky Tyrant to give it a nice durability and healing boost along with quite literally being a human shield!

With shields. And a megaphone that's being turned on to try and get her voice over the roar of miniguns. "Listen up! We know the doc's in there! These are warning shots. If you don't hand him over, the next ones are...!" Wait. Are they already mowing down the agents inside? Crap. "... Er. We can end this with fewer injuries if you turn him over quickly!"
Metal Man Wesker had known what he was doing, it concerned Metal Man? Yet he had a war to win back home. He'd not like himself for this but he had a job to do and Wesker? Wesker was better to be on the good side of than the bad or doesn't care about you side. Wait does it even work that way? Metal Man doesn't know and care he's about ready to also drop. He lets the BOWs hit the ground before he does, kinda amused he has organic drones to work with on this operation. He'll leap out causing an impact crater where he lands in a three point landing, before he rises up.

"Nothing personal today but we can't abide a traitor. I would suggest you listen to my companion. Surrender the Doctor and the rest of you will be allowed to leave."
Mitsu Mirage     It's kinda rare that she gets called out to go on something, normally she's the one bursting through... but hey, a change in pace is normally welcome to the Rabbit! It's here she's wearing something upon her head to hide a pair of 'additions' she recently had... and to keep herself in hiding.

"Kratzenfaust, get ready. Let's go blow things up..." with the Tyrants already doing a bang up (haha) job, the claws of Kratzenfaust start glowing blue with sparks ready. "Blue Shocker Slash!" with two quick swipes, six blades of blue lightning arc towards the building, might as well make some bigger holes for those Tyrants to go have some fun inside, right? "Yea, we're here for the doc, so... as much fun as it would be to just blow things up and go, we do kinda need him... so. Hand him over."

Mitsu soon just dives down off the helicopter, "Shocker Shield." she whispers, covering herself in a ball of lightning magic, bouncing off the ground as she hits. "Well, shall we?"
Kyra Hyral Kyra is already here within the safehouse, having arrived covertly about a day or so ago. She had even made her arrival rather discrete, going so far as to wear a wig and a frilly dress as to make herself unrecognizable. But once inside the compound, the white mage has changed back into clothing she's far more comfortable with-namely her punk-ish getup, though she's sporting just a regular grey hoodie today instead of her usual moogle-looking deal. Since her arrival, she's been spending time with Dr. Jennings, interviewing him, recording his words, trying to get as much information as possible as she can from the rogue doctor.

After all, Kyra knows how companies like Umbrella treat their turncoats. She's seen it before in a Galaxy Far Far away and closer to home with Kay's people. Neither of those operations had turned out well for her so Kyra comes taking precautions, preparing for the attack that she knows is inevitable.

Kyra's phone on the table buzzes, the alert going out from the BSAA and Union chatter following. A grim look crosses her face as she reaches over, picks up her mPhone, and turns off the sound recorder. The device is slipped into the front pocket of her hoodie.

"Well, Dr. Jennings, it sounds like Umbrella is here to retrieve you." Despite the reports, Kyra's pretty calm-by now she's learned that in these situations, she had to remain calm because the target will pick up on her being panicky and start getting panicky too. She unzips the front zipper to the hoodie she wears, revealing underneath a set of bandoliers and two under-arm handgun harnesses, both filled with handguns. A strange black glove is retrieved from a pouch at Kyra's waist and slipped over her left hand, obscuring a set of strange markings she has on the back of her hand. "The BSAA set up an emergency escape route in case something like this happened. There's a tunnel in the basement. I know where it is-follow me, please."

As Kyra stands, she pulls out one of her guns-an ornate-looking Galiandan pistol, transferring it to her right hand.
Samira Amirmuaz     Once Samira had been made aware that another Earth's CIA had put forth a request to the Union regarding defending a certain package, she had gone to them immediately as a means to figure out a deal. After all, XCOM was still in dire need of supplies, and she knew full well that the government spooks would have enough to cover the expenses XCOM was going to incur in the near future.

That meant, of course, that she had to devote her soldiers to the field if an incident were to occur... Which it naturally did. Once the helicoper comes in and the Tyrants are busy murdering their way across the fields, the sound of a screaming engine echoes as the Skyranger tears across the sky from the southeast, back towards the house and hopefully away from the fire. It doesn't land; instead, it's ramp drops open while it hovers in midair, and four human soldiers wearing military-grade kevlar stamped with their countries of origin (that's seen better days) drop down on cables. Once they're all clear, the VTOL flies away quickly, back the way it came... ready to come back and pick up casualties, if need be.

Sq. Kelly takes point, moving quickly into cover behind the house and keeping low to avoid the Tyrant's incoming fire. The other three are all rookies; the blond American male Peterson, the French male DeGaspard wearing a striped orange bandana over his face and a trillby, and the Brazilian female Olivera, all follow in after her. Olivera, at least, provides some covering fire as the rest move to cover... Old soldier habits, and all that.

Back in the Avenger, Samira is getting a feed of the combat provided by lapel cameras of her soldiers. What she hears about the Tyrants isn't particularly comforting. "Menace 1-5, you are to remove those creatures from the field while the others focus on the Elite-level threats. The package must be kept safe at all costs. Begin your mission."
Richard Stadler There are many ways to defend a singular location, and, if Rick was being completely honest with himself, he should have needed be here. Langley Operation types should have been more than capable with their training and equipment to secure this location aganist the general range of threats that could have been sent. And he should have left it to them. Lord knows he had enough to deal with. Yunomi being out there and being hunted by an enemy that had been tough to deal with had turned into a low grade ache, but it still gnawed at his soul, forced him to try plan after plan in his head that got him no where. Perhaps that was why he was out here with a small unit. It was another challenge, somewhere else to put his mind.

But no matter the reason, the Z-Team had been stationed in a picket below a small divot. It was a permiter that should have caught an ingressing land team, but also kept them from centering around the farmhouse itself... which was rather fine for Rick.

"Buckley Ops, X-Ray 6-1. We've got customers. Request ready unit from 120th set up for CAS. Expedite, if possible." Buckley AFB was the closest source of air support, but it would take Colorado's Air National Guard time to get them here. And that would be time Rick and anyone else would have to buy.

Rick nodded to the Corporal next to him to change the frequency. "Let's get this started. Keep to cover out here as long as possible, but let's give them a second front. Contingency Tango."

Tango took an air mobile drop of heavy BOWs into account. Two fire teams, seperated, at the same time, popping up. The first takes a quick moment to let the FIM-92 she carried get a taste, before the Stinger streaked out and up, attempting to swap the helicopter from the sky.

The second fire time had one man with a M202 FLASH. It was meant to turn bunkers into a charnal house of burning incendaries... but it had also been proven effect aganist T-100s.
Rebecca Chambers Meanwhile, Rebecca had been given intel about the whole thing shortly before this whole thing went down, but unlike her usual assignments, she's not coming in via helicopter or anything like that. Instead, from off in the distance, one might get a glimpse of the young medic, still wearing her familiar uniform after all these years no less, advancing into the area. OF course it might not be easy since she's keeping a very low profile as best as she can. She doesn't fancy being caught by Umbrella's forces, nor does she want to encounter any B.O.W.'s right now, but that could easily be a very possible scenario.

Once Rebecca gains visual of the farmhouse, she takes cover behind a nearby rock and peers out briefly to survey the area with her binoculars, before putting them away and loading a clip into her MP5K. She presses her back against the rock, peering out slightly to try to survey the general area and get an idea for what to expect.
Staren     Staren teleported into the area this morning and came to the farmhouse, using a chameleon cloak to be less... obvious as a person in power armor on his way in. It's nice to see Stadler again -- when there's a zombie threat but you have Stadler around, you know you're covered. And he's an old familiar face, reminding him that everyone he met more than five years ago isn't dead or gone. Talking is awkward with the current Yunomi situation, though...

Sooner or later Staren had to take the armor off, but he's ready to suit up again at the first sign of trouble. And the cameras he hid outside show that that trouble is two giant chaingun zombies and additional Confederate elites. So much for things keeping quiet here... He sends the command for the Star Hawk to get on its way here, but will that happen fast enough to matter?

For the moment, everyone Union-side equipped to use one, via cybernetics or a helmet with a HUD or even AR glasses, gets access to his tacnet, while Staren finishes suiting up and tries to put together a plan.
Finna The mission is to extract someone from a dangerous situation?! This one's right up Finna's alley. She doesn't pretend to understand all of this weird science and medical stuff, but what she does know is that few people are likely to question the red-tailed hawk that's swooping for the farmhouse's upper windows! Well okay, probably many people will.

IF they can spot it amidst all of this chaos...
Albert Wesker     The helicopter's sensors pick up on a missile headed its way. "Damn." Wesker takes no chances, and opts to head right for the hell's exits while the pilots attempt to evade the stinger's fire.

That doesn't happen. Wesker is just clear of the helicopter as it goes up in flames, and the superhuman falls to the ground without a parachute. He needs those, doesn't he?

One supposes not, as Wesker lands without so much as a bruise on him as he takes off running, sprinting past the T-103s. The guards open fire upon him, only for one of them to end up with a knee crushing his face, and the others are shredded in gunfire. Reinforcements from the BSAA arrive from inside the house, but Wesker came prepared for this. "Bravo team, engage."

On cue, USS special forces operatives emerge from the cornfields, trading fire with the BSAA troopers. Wesker will slip through, leaping through a window just in time to lose Kyra and Jennings down in the tunnels.

The good doctor's understandably panicking as he heads for the basement, a briefcase in hand. "I can't let Wesker have this sample, it'll be the thing that brings about Umbrella's resurgence!" he says fearfully.

The Tyrants take notice of XCOM forces on station, as well as Stadler's operatives, but Finna might go unnoticed by the big lugs. Staren draws fire from one of the Tyrants, as the other spies a small flash of a familiar uniform.

"STARS..." They may not be T-Types, but they're still pretty driven after all these years to eradicate any trace of STARS survivors, something Wesker insisted on being part of their programing.
Staren     Staren finishes getting his power armor ready just in time to see Wesker leap into the house! "Hey!" He turns and raises his arm to fire, but then a spray of chaingun fire comes in through the wall -- one beam cannon shot blasts another wall as Staren stumbles aside, forcefield flickering as the bullets chip away at it much like they might stone, except a bit faster than that. Staren hits the deck and fires another shot up at Wesker, but that doesn't really help his situation much -- he tries to scramble to his feet and put Wesker /between/ him and the T-103, in hopes that will stop it from raining lead on him!
Kyra Hyral "Oh, yes, right here." Meanwhile, Kyra pulls back a floor rug to reveal the trapdoor to the basement. She tugs it open and shoos Dr. Jennings inside, following after him just as she hears a window shatter behind her-never a good sign. "Doctor, are you prepared to destroy that briefcase if it comes down to it? Because I don't know exactly how Umbrella operates but I'm guessing that their employee re-orientation program is not very friendly." This being an official safehouse, there's lighting down here-bare bulbs, and the tunnel has a concrete bottom.

"Here." With her free hand, Kyra pulls free a syringe from one of the bandoliers crisscrossing her chest. "This is a haste formula. It should make you run faster for a short period of time. I think you could use that." Still she's trying to stay calm, even in the face of Dr. Jennings panicking now. "Just jab it right into your forearm."

She trusts the doctor can handle injecting himself on the run at least! It beats having to suddenly shoot him-not that it'd help, she didn't have any darts loaded with haste formula right now.
Sanary Rondel So much for the slightly more peaceful option. Her ultimatum unheeded, Sanary tosses that discount megaphone aside as the Tyrants continue firing. Her gaze isn't on the scientist, though, but on the the people in the farmhouse itself. More specifically, she's eyeing the XCOM soldiers that seem like they might be much more of a threat than the BSAA troopers. Dropping off the Tyrant's back, the girl in green armor readies both of her shields in front of her and channels some magical energy through her body.

"Looks like you're with me, buddy. Watch my back!" Can the tyrant understand what she's saying her? Who knows. Either way, the healer breaks into a run, slowly building up speed like a self-propelled battering ram as she aims to plow straight into the XCOM troops and their cover in one fell swoop. It might not be the most subtle of techniques or have any finesse to it, but it makes up for it in blunt force trauma!
Mitsu Mirage     With Mitsu's ... loud entrance ... the lightning shielded Rabbit stalks forward, grinning. "Well, looks llike we have company now, don't we?" she kicks off the ground, her familiar leaping and bouncing style getting her places. And with a small little bit of... well a LARGE bit of magic, there's the sound of cartridges loading coming from those large claw gaunlets upon Mitsu's arms. "Welp, he said cover him." with a grin, she makes another leap and launches herself into the air!

"Only one real chance at this. Shocker Breaker!" she shouts, launching a large ball of lightning down towards a group of whomever is in the way! "Whoo! Load some more, let's put some more into this next one!" she laughs, dropping down to the ground and admiring her bit of work. A bit oblivious to things around her... that shield still buzzing around her.
Richard Stadler Richard Stadlerwatches the the helicopter attempts to evade the missle... and fails, a grim satisfaction to shutting down the possiblity of air mobile support. That was lessened when the man in charge decides to slam down to the ground with out the need for any sort of rapelling gear. It may have been self serving, but Stadler was someone glad that Wesker was going for the house instead of his people. He's lost too many people recently to relish the prospect of his team getting ripped apart by that monster. And it seems they have other things to deal with, as the USS team explodes from the cornfield.

"6, 7, on those T-103 until they're dead or or you're out of munitions. Rest, burn them out!"

There's a tema of two that still point themselves towards the T-103, one covered as another fires the launcher again, attempting to hit a T-103 in a holocaust of burning phosphourous. He isn't aiming at either one in particulary, so Sanary has a fifty fifty shot of getting hit too.

The rest of them are aganist the USS team attempt infiltration from the cornfield, underbarrel launchers popping out in a volley of white phosphourous grenades. It would be bad for one farmer, certainly, but that would be a job for the firefighters. Rick's job was burning the bastards out.
Samira Amirmuaz     A human riding upon the shoulders of one of those inhuman... things, is a sight that is outright disgusting to those of the XCOM team. Collaborators weren't anything new to them, considering where they were from. But it made Sanary stand out as someone who had truly abandoned her race in the eyes of the XCOM soldiers and their commander.

To whit, the soldiers all get low while the Tyrant pounds out rounds in their direction, managing to avoid the hail while they slowly advanced to begin their own assault. Or, at least, they would; Sanary is coming a-runnin' to greet them personally. Samira can see her start her charge... for some reason, she's able to calculate exactly how long it would take for impact, and what orders she should give to counteract it... which is a truly concerning fact that the Commander will have to try to understand later.

On the ground, DeGaspard recieves the order from his comms. "Throw a grenade in her path, ten meters in front of you. Wait until she is going too fast to stop." Said frag is pulled from his belt, the pin and spool thrown away, while he waits...

    One one-thousand... two one-thousand... three one-thousand... four one-thousand...

And he hucks it as hard as he can, the grenade aimed right for Sanary's feet with a second left to spare on it's timer.
Rebecca Chambers After surveying the general area, Rebecca was shocked to find B.O.W.'s coming in, but tried not to show it on her face. Instead, she was more focused on the mysterious robotic being known as Metal Man. She didn't recognize him, but it didn't matter since she figured since he was with the B.O.W.'s, he was obviously an antagonist, and she needed to take care of him along with the other B.O.W.'s.

Enabling the laser sighting on her MP5K, Rebecca takes aim at Metal Man and fires off a three-round burst of gunfire, wishing she'd brought a rifle with her instead. She doesn't say anything though, instead just waiting for Metal Man's reaction.
Albert Wesker     The USS troopers mop up most of the BSAA, just in time for the rest to get shredded by Mitsu's lightning storm. "FUCK YEAH, we shoulda had these people with us back in Amarillo!" exclaims one of the soldiers, grinning just in time to see one of his buddies take a shot to the head. "FUCK, X-Ray on-site, focus on them!"

The Tyrant that Stadler tagged is burned slowly, but continues to attack before willy pete finishes the job. It also has the side effect of burning the fields, forcing the USS to go into open combat.

They dive behind cover, finding targets, and return fire on X-Ray's soldiers. "Mother-fuck-, flash out!" The mouthy commando says, before he fires off a flash round to blind the X-Ray troops.

The Tyrant Sanary speaks to doesn't seem to react, instead focusing on the X-Ray troopers as he shucks his overcoat when it catches fire. Staren unfortunately is a more pressing target, and he opens fire once more upon the genius. Power armor or no, direct assault with a mini gun is still something not to chance.

He won't be alone, as a horrifying shriek escapes the burning field as a pack of Hunters emerge from the smoldering cornfields. They have sharp claws and tough hide, blackened and scorched by white phosphorous, and rush the X-Ray troops.

Wesker, inside, growls as he tries to find the basement, ignoring the sensation of being electrocuted when Mitsu cut down those BSAA goons. CIA agents make their last stand, drawing SMGs, pistols, and shotguns. Wesker doesn't even give them the satisfaction of dying by bullet; Instead, he pops his neck, and begins to tear through them.

Down in the tunnel, Jennings nods. "If necessary, there's an explosive charge already inside just in case. It's tied to my heartbeat, if anything happens to me..." He mimes an explosion, before he takes the syringe. It's probably the least threatening thing he could inject himself with, and he does so without wasting time. Already feeling the speed boost, he does his best to keep ahead of Kyra, knowing she's the last thing between himself and Umbrella. From the sounds of things, it's not going well upstairs.
Kyra Hyral Given what Umbrella injects into people on a regular basis, anything that Kyra hands over is probably pretty tame. "Good." But at the same time, Kyra realizes, that means they're likely to try and take this guy back alive-which might be even worse than dying. "Keep running. The tunnel forks ahead-take the right. Always take a right if you find any more forks. They built in some dead ends." Kyra instructs, slowing down just slightly.

She allows Dr. Jennings to run ahead as she takes a moment to slip her gun back in the holster so she can work a few other things free of the Matter Manipulator on the back of that glove on her left hand. She produces several chalky red bricks and stacks them against the walls, crossing the path behind her. She jams a wire into one of the bricks-homemade Galiandan C4-and runs ahead with the wire spooling behind her. She doesn't move as fast as the doctor-and for good reason, she wanted him to have a head start.

Right about when she reaches that fork she mentioned to the doctor (HOPEFULLY HE WENT THE RIGHT WAY), she breaks the wire free of the spool. Her hand closes around the end and she murmurs a word, sending a jolt of her own magic particles down the wire.

tThe C4 explodes in the tunnel behind her. BUT WILL WESKER MAKE IT IN TIME TO GET PAST OR GET CAUGHT IN THE BLAST? The ground around the farmhouse rumbles ominously from this.
Sanary Rondel Luckily for Sanary, she's already in a full-on run when the Tyrant she's unofficially partnered herself up with gets tagged with FIRE. Although she can't quite get a clear visual on where those flames even came from, she does make a mental note to keep her eye open for potential hostiles trying to smoke them out.

At least she probably won't have to worry about that happening in the farmhouse itself. Hopefully. Her direct path is taking her straight for the troopers who... Don't seem to be moving as much as she'd expect. Was she wrong in her assessment? Is it bravery? A last stand, perhaps?

... Or per haps they had her figured out this whole time! Being clad in so much armor certainly helps with withstanding powerful attacks, but it doesn't do her any favors as far as evading attacks goes. The grenade works almost exactly as planned, the healer only realizing that she's even run right over the thing when she steps on the thing. All she can do in such a short time is brace her shield behind her and hope for the best!

Surprisingly enough, the best is... A lot better than she expected. Between the magical energy augmenting her endurance to inhuman levels and the armor itself bolstering her ability to defend, the blast from the grenade only smashes her arm instead of blowing it off completely. She does have to stop running and use her other shield as cover, however, while she focuses on restoring that limb and the bones in it to a usable state again. While she's there, though...

Might as well give those troopers something to contend with. Channeling some of that energy to her eye, she turns her head in the direction of the front-most XCOM soldiers , then fires off a heated laser from her eye at their cover. On impact, the laser blossoms into a more substantial flaming explosion!
Finna Finna doesn't miss the lightning that's being flung around! Oh no. The hawk takes off screeching in protest, but just flutters off! ... Right?

About five seconds later.... the sky grows dark above Mitsu Mirage. Then darker and darker!

The reason why is very obvious if anyone looks up. It is well and truthfully IMPOSSIBLE TO MISS.

A gargantuan reptile rains from the heavens, with one leg upraised and the other's bottom aimed straight for Mitsu's... well.

Mitsu's EVERYTHING! It falls at a vague diagonal with tremendous force and ROARS THUNDEROUSLY at the last moment.

    TYRANT LIZARD KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!!!

There's no questioning what this creature is the moment anyone can get a looka t the whole thing. With a fanged maw big enough to chomp a man in half, beady little eyes and all-but-vestigial little arms sprouting from its body, and a thrashing tail big enough to flip a car over...

    This is a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

    Yes. It's raining T-Rexes today.
Metal Man So there he wa racing in on the safe house, when Rebecca spots him. Given Wesker was involved he wasn't shocked to see one of the longest serving elites in this sector of the Multiverse. He really wasn't. Yet now, he'd have to deal with her opening fire on him. Thankfully it's not AP rounds from the looks of things as the SMG rounds go flying Metal is forced to go on the 4evasive some of them hit deflecting off his armour in some places, in others they get more purchase than one would expect a combat robot to have.

What is notable is Metal Man never stops moving alo the saw blades start flying as he seems to be focusing on jumping, then throwing them as he goes, the pattern repeats even as he zips about the battle field trying to close and he is closing fairly fast.

"Are you not past your due date for being a fighter, human?!"
Richard Stadler The Z-team keeps the fire up; they'd picked a terrian feature to hide behind, instead of the cornfield (because corn simply didn't stop bullets as well as one would like). It meant they had the advatage of packed earth as cover... but it also meant their position was locked down when the fire came toward it. It was a strategy that precluded retreat in terms of breaking an enemy attack... so Rick would want to do one more than the other.

One of the special forices soldier takes a shot shattering his scapula, screaming out in pain as the others mantain the fire, as the USS team goes out into the open. "FLASH!" One of them yells, and all of them duck eyes down as quickly as they can. It was meant to keep their eyes working, but it also meant, for a brief moment, that the fire from the position completely slackens off. It would give the USS team time to advance, and 5.56 rounds slamming aganist dirt and rocks.

"Smoke!" Stadler yells again, and smoke grenades are lobbed up and over. Their job was to place a visual (and thermal) cover between the Tyrants and the rest. Granted, there was a lot of fire coming toward them, but the Tyrants wouldn't be able to see what they were aiming for. Which would matter in a few moments.

"Acid!" And the next volley of grenades comes out, splattering the USS team in a shower of sulfuric acid from specially designed grenades. An automatic rifleman manages to dig in his bipod and slam suppressive fire toward the team, all in an effort to give them two options:

1) Stand where they were, or
2) Walk into that minigun field of fire aganist Tyrants that could no longer see them.
Mitsu Mirage     Well, it's not every day that you get to send a bunch of goons getting shredded by a lightning storm of Mitsu's creation, it's a nice feeling it is. "Well, that was fun, now, who's next?" she moves into a fighting stance, ready to take on the next thing that comes after her. Though, with a shadow getting bigger over her, she can't help but ask... "Did it get dark all of a sudden?" when the soldiers speak up, she turns her head up and facing the T-Rex that's falling upon her.

"What the he... I GOT IT!" The kick slams right into the lightning shield and breaks right through it, and right into the magical girl, sending her tumbling down the floor... "Ow..." she mutters, groaning slightly. "Okay... We have Zombies... military troopers, magic using girls... Where does a Tyrannosaurus Rex come into place in this thing?!" she grumbles, hopping herself up.. "Alright, T-Rex... you're facing the Rabbit of the TSAB, Mitsu Mirage! Let's play."

So, how does one try to take out a T-Rex that's suddenly in the building without trying to fry everything ELSE around it.. She /was/ told to watch the friendly fire. She swings her hands and gauntlets back, "Blue Lightning Slasher!" she shouts, the sound of a shotgun shell going off is echoed and when she swings her hands forward, six arcs of lightning are thrown off the claws and towards the T-Rex... then...

She runs towards a wall! Time to lead it to something.
Yari Takane Someone's late to the party for once. Yari is dressed in a dark blue kimono today as she radios into her compatriots already on the field. Seems things are fairly busy! As the Confederate dropship buzzes over the compound, the door kicks open, and the Au Ra ninja leaps out! Rather than a parachute like a normal person, the young woman instead makes hand-seals in the air as she spies poor Sanary eating a grenade from an X-Com trooper!

Her teeth grit. "...YOu'll pay for that." She hisses lowly. Stealth isn't an option today, it seems. She can let off a little aggression.

With a white poof of smoke, a pair of slightly curved massive shuriken appear in her hands, and soon they're spinning! Then the ninja flings them at the line of X-Com troopers, the sharp things making wide arcs to try to encourage them to stay down! And not grenade Sanary too much.

"Fuma shuriken!"
Rebecca Chambers "Past my due date?!" Rebecca asks, before ducking for cover as the saw blades come at her. One of them grazes her arm but the others hit the rock. She curses loudly as she rubs at the wound, which seems to be mostly superficial but hurts like hell. Nevertheless, she decides to go on the move too as she attempts to go after Metal Man.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not anywhere near retiring just yet. I've got a lot more to deal with!" She fires another three round burst at Metal Man, before switching to her Magnum and loading a fresh clip.
Samira Amirmuaz     Like a charm, the grenade manages to stop Sanary's charge dead in it's tracks, and even spend a little time trying to recuperate from the blow that she's been dealt. In the meanwhile, the men and women of XCOM are all getting themselves set in position; Kelly moves off to the east to begin encircling the shielded healer, while the other three take positions against a low stone wall conveniently placed in their path. A firing line of automatic rifles to distract the beast while Kelly goes around for a killing blow.

It... doesn't necessarily go the way they wanted to. They duck down behind the wall to evade the initial eye beam, true, but the explosion that follows it sends Olivera flying, while DeGaspard gets pelted with dust and small, pulverized stones that lacerate his face quite nastily. Olivera manages to survive her flight by landing heavily on her stomach. It sends her breath out in a whoosh while her brain overrides in panic, leaving her to try to crawl further away, back behind the house, while she lets loose hoarse cries of terror.

So, yay! Sanary has put one out of commission, for now. The other two men are forced to scramble further along the wall, but neither take any chances and begin pouring automatic fire into Sanary's shields. Unfortunately, neither of them were expecting Yari, so Peterson lets out a pained yelp when a pair of shuriken bury themselves in his arm, which makes him duck behind cover again to try to desperately pull them out.

That left Kelly... who, after a couple cleansing breaths, tears from her cover, running as fast as she can while trying to avoid fire from all sides as she approaches Sanary. Once she's close enough for what should be lethal spread, she stops and fires a round of 12-guage buckshot at the sort-of mage, and then drops prone in the grass to avoid anyone trying to land a sneaky hit.

    MEANWHILE, AWAY FROM THE BATTLEFIELD...

THe Skyranger's engines roar to life again as Firebrand recieves new orders. She's headed northeast: the ending point of the secret tunnel underneath the farm, where the doctor would eventually reach... hopefully.
Staren     As Staren's trying to maneuver around Wesker, the bullets stop coming -- Staren gets a brief glance through his HUD at the burning field. They killed it with fire, good.

Wesker runs into a room full of CIA agents and starts... ripping them apart with his bare hands?! What is this guy? Well, given his chosen field of expertise, Wesker has clearly added some biological enhancements to himself. Good for him! Bad for anyone fighting him.

Staren runs into the doorway and fires the dual beam cannons on his arm at Wesker's back. He's not yet sure what works and what doesn't against Wesker, but stopping more CIA agents from dying would be a start!
Albert Wesker     The CIA agents inside the house are torn through one by one, just in time for Wesker to make it past the collapsed rocks. He leaps through, running as the rocks collapse behind him, and he keeps running. "Where ARE you running...?" he wonders aloud, trying to follow the path.

The Forks ahead of him will definitely be a problem.

The USS commandos are backed up by hunters, the reptilian beasts sprinting to Z-Team. One gets within range, trying to swipe a claw at the automatic rifleman.

The USS came prepared, using thermal optics to counter the smoke, and running to evade the acid while shaking off flash. They return the favor, a grenadier using an MGL loaded with acid rounds opening fire in response.

The Tyrant continues to open fire, focusing on Staren to keep the genius distracted. There's no taunting, just mini gun fire that will rip the building's first floor apart.
Finna The WTFRex's beady little eyes turn back and forth in its head with an eerie calm and focus. Its whole body TWISTS AROUND FREAKISHLY with a level of nimbleness and flexibility that NO dinosaur could ever have.

Unless, maybe, it learned and practiced martial arts to within an inch of its life. Somehow.

It SQUEEZES NARROWLY through a gap between several of the shots - only half strike, and one of those is a graze. It leaves scorched flesh and scale in its wake though, and BURNED DINOFLESH is not a pleasant smell. Burned T-Rex even less! The creature roars FURIOUSLY in pain in return... ducks its head down, and... SPRINGS forward off one leg in a freakishly high-speed chase!

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with this Dinosaur.
Kyra Hyral Satisfied with her handiwork (which she can tell was at least successful thanks to the earth-shattering kaboom), Kyra takes another syringe of haste mixture, jabbing it into her own arm and discarding the now-empty item in the tunnel behind her.

She actually has no idea that Wesker made it past the C4 charges before the tunnel collapsed.

The white mage takes off down the tunnel, quickly catching up to the fleeing man. "Dr. Jennings. At the exit, we will have a transport waiting. They're going to take you to Buckley in Colorado. From there, they'll get you to 'Detrick'." Kyra has no idea what these places are-she's not from an Earth!
Metal Man Metal Man replies back "Getting too old where no amount of skill and experience can make up for your body breaking down, when it comes to combat! You should go be a Paramedic it be better for you, less zombies too!" That doesnt go so well, he did score a hit which is lucky for him once a human starts bleeding even a bit they get a whole new world of concerns to worry about.

"I never figured you would run. You, Leon, Stradler and all the rest just don't know the meaning of give up do you?"

Metal man now starts worry the Magnum was a higher cal weapon and that could be a problem for his lighter than average armour plating. He's forced to evade the shots but is not in a good spot to return fire. Rebecca has some breathing room for the moment.
Sanary Rondel "Clever... Very clever." Sanary sucks in a sharp breath through her teeth as she shakes the worst of the pain off her injured arm, the healing magic working its... Well, magic to keep it from being a completely uselessly lump for this fight. She finds herself pinned down by the troopers, however, keeping her other shield raised even as some of those bullets strike against her armor and a few lucky ones even strike at the openings in the joints. The armor's meant for fighting large beasts with massive parts, after all, so smaller projectiles like these are proving to be quite the nuisance even with her healing abilities!

Luckily for her, though, there's a certain ninja arriving just in time to keep her from getting surrounded! "Thanks, Yari! Alright now... You soldiers ain't anything like those.. Uh. Other ones, are you?" Sanary calls out, almost as if trying to get some words out of those troopers even as she readies herself for another assault. Just in time, too, as she spots Kelly running... For her?

Probably not the most strategic decision, but it's definitely the sort of thing Sanary could see herself doing under different circumstances. With her (mostly) uninjured arm holding a shield in front of her, she defends against the buckshot fairly easily with the spread dispersing the impact through the weapon instead of focusing it all on one point, and her wrist survives to fight another day.

"... Who're you working for? Union? Or they just paying you?" Sanary lets out something vaguely resembling an impressed whistle (but with a lot more odd blowing), and then she roars out as she swings her other shield around in attempt to slam it right into the trooper!
Rebecca Chambers Rebecca Chambers says, "I'll have you know," Rebecca says as she attempts to take aim at Metal Man with her Magnum while running, "That I'm more than just a paramedic. I happen to be a bio-chemistry major who also knows a bit about medicine. But that's not the point." She attempts to draw a better bead on Metal Man as she adds, "The point is I'm taking you and the rest of your Confederate goons out!"

A pause as Rebecca tries to fire, but then nothing comes out. "Oh dammit!" Apparently her gun jammed. She is forced to stop and get the mechanism unstuck, before attempting to fire a single shot. However, the shot is somewhat unevenly made and could easily be avoided despite Metal Man's vulnerability."
Staren     Staren stumbles forward and then hits the deck -- His forcefield is weaker against physical weapons than energy, and it's exactly this sort of attack that can shred through it in seconds. From the floor, Staren tries to face a window. He was expecting this fight to happen out in the field, and brought weapons accordingly -- Anyone on the tacnet gets a warning to stay at least 5 meters away from the tyrant, and then the half-dozen minimissiles in the armor's shoulder racks launch out the window, swerve up into the sky, spreading out and then converging as they come down on the remaining tyrant, releasing enough heat to turn the air to plasma for meters around, and just turn the corn in the blast area straight to ash. Staren can only hope it will hurt the Tyrant enough to stop bullets from hitting him every time he stands up!
Mitsu Mirage     ... "OKay, this is seriously some levels of 'what the hell'..." Mitsu mutters, "While everyone else is fighting off famous people, I'm here... with a giant lizard." she grumbles and bounces a bit, "What in the hell happened, did I draw a short stick or something?!" she curses a bit and looks around. There's probably a bunch of things around she can bounce on... which, she launches herself at to get higher in the air and kick off, 'flying' towards the T-Rex.

<Master. This is not advisable.> comes a chime from the Armed Device, <Recommend evasive maneuvers.> "Does punching through it work?" <... Inconclusive, Master.> "Welp, here we go!" She puts one clawed gauntlet forward and points one down... "Shock Blast!" she fires a small shot type spell down towards the ground to send her twisting in the air, putting her claws together to make a flying drill! "KYAAAAAH!"
Richard Stadler The good news was that the Tyrant that was still firing decided to pick on new targets, meaning that the withering fire from those miniguns had ceased. The bad news was they had something else to occupy them at the moment. The tell tail signs from the moving, burning corn and the huffing air was all some sharp eyes special forces soldier needed to call out the warning. "120s!" He yells, quickly adjusting fire toward the approching targets... and that isn't enough. It's never enough.

The MA-120s strike the position, and there's paniced yelling as they break inside the defensive line, the LMG falling silent as the automatic rifleman is fallen upon... before the loud crack of a .45 magnum round is heard, Stadler's modified Webley firing again and again until the target dies or stops flailing. Really, that's all they can afford as similar firing of large bore sidearms sound. There was a reason Stadler's people went with stopping power when choosing a pistol.

Stadler crawls forward, pushing back the wounded autorifleman and starts to return fire. Acid shatters the ground around them, but armor took out some of the sizzle, exposed skin at a minimum as they try to fight back.

Stadler yells back, holding his hand out for the radio handset. "X-Ray 6-1, Anteater flight! If you're not supersonic, I suggest you push it! I needed you here 5 minutes ago!
Yari Takane One man shuriken'd. That's a good start. The ninja lands, and shoots a grin towards a certain Shield Priest! "I can't let you die out here, after all." She offers, before getting her head back into the game. She's rather exposed at the moment, there's little actual cover for her to work with. Time to be a ninja.

Several handseals, and the ninja puts her hand at the ground before her. A small wall of earth rises up, enough for her to duck under and get a feel for the situation. Wesker's monstrosities are doing work. Some x-com troopers along a wall, and one generally shotgun'ing poor Sanary. The ninja peers at the automatic fire. Time to play distraction.

A handseal, and the ninja focuses on the men's position in her mind. She gently glows purple as her aether gathers, and then disperses.

The men pouring down fire at Sanary might hear a little warning. Hissing. Lots and lots of hissing. Dozens, no, hundreds of snakes seem to slither out from nowhere should their minds be weak enough. Biting, paralyzing little fangs that seem to inject molten lead into one's veins that slither all the way to their heart. Wrapping, binding, and generally being icky piles of horrible little serpents.

In reality, of course, nothing truly happens as Yari tries to weave the illusion of those biting little scum. With any luck, some of Samira's men might panic. Or maybe even pass out from the mental illusion. So too could they shake it off, Yari's illusion ninjutsu is still a work in progress.
Metal Man Wesker was right over the comm to not underestimate Chambers. She's lived through a lot of things that had killed others, yet she's still here. So there is that proof. He seems mistaken on her full out skill set, but she's got good aim for a human and she's got a gun that can hurt him. He's got a bit of luck on his side as the gun jams. He's got his opening and now Metal Man's going to try and get close to just out right try to deck her in the gut. Killing her would only bring vengeance upon her, messing her up bad enough to need an evac? Would mean at least one other enemy would have to haul her off away from this madness and thus he'd have two foes out of the fight if this works.

"Hi..."
Albert Wesker     The USS troopers are only four men left, but they fight long and hard. It doesn't matter if they win or not, what matters is just buying time for the boss man, so they hold the fucking line.

The Hunters die one by one, the one engaging the rifleman still slashing deep as it feels slug after slug hit it. It dies, but one of its brethren proceeds to charge Stadler, a third going to finish what their fallen buddy has started. X-Ray was prudent in picking sidearms, the large bore weapons doing their job to cause holes the size of golf balls while puncturing leathery hide.

THe Tyrant unfortunately isn't too resistant to plasma and missiles. They cook the Tyrant's skin and coat, the latter burning off to reveal mutated flesh. The Tyrant's mini gun goes empty, and he tosses the weapon side in anger as he grows claws from the stump of his left arm, rushing Staren directly wordlessly with a wide swipe.

Wesker doesn't need much to follow the scientist and his protector, using their voices to follow them until he can see a faint outline of both Kyra and Jennings.

And then he draws his pistol, firing twice. Jennings catches one to the leg, while Wesker trains his weapon to Kyra next. "You should not have intervened, this is an Umbrella concern." He snarls coldly, before he fires once more.
Finna THAAAAAT manuever gets the great lizard to pause its charge, head tilting uncertainly. At the VERY last moment it has... the beast kicks off the ground in a bit of a panic!

Mitsu's drill motion shaves off a horrific chunk of flesh, rewarding her with sprays of yucky blood and chunks of bone!

The beast GROANS... but instead of running off to lick its wounds like most predators would... it SPINS, whipping that tail around with prodigious force!

    ... Right for Mitsu!
Kyra Hyral A pair of gunshots echos down the tunnel, much to Kyra's surprise, and the Doctor running next to her stumbles as a bullet sinks into the meaty part of his leg. She reaches out to grab him, steading him with one arm. She turns around, staring at the blonde-haired man following the pair.

She makes a motion of starting to reach for her gun, but stops, knowing she wouldn't be able to manuver a weapon while supporting Dr. Jennings. Instead, she murmurs something, snaking her hand down to clap over the bullet hole. Green light flares around her hand, the flesh closing up, the bullet forced out of the hole it created.

"Technically, Dr. Jennings is /not/ with Umbrella anymore, so the Union is totally free to come to his aid when he asks for it."

She lowers her voice, murmuring to the Doctor, "When I remove my hand, run and don't stop. I'll do what I can to slow him down." This, of course, is all spoken as someone who doesn't know that she's actually looking at Dr. Jennings' former boss.

Suddenly, she lets go of Dr. Jennings, who will find himself no longer hobbled thanks to the healing. Wesker might shoot him again, or he might shoot her-since right now, Kyra's pulling her right shoulder holster gun out, which happens to be her needlegun. With little delay her her part, she shoots at him, firing a single resevoir-baring dart from the gun. Contained in the dart is not a poison, but a powerful paralytic instead-a sort of milder neurotoxin, in fact.
Rebecca Chambers Despite wearing body armor, Rebecca still can't 'stomach' that fist to her gut. She doubles over in pain and gasps for air as the oxygen is forcefully knocked from her lungs. She drops to one knee, trying desperately to get more air into her lungs after that cheap hit. Once she's gotten some more air into her stomach, Rebecca gets back up and is about to fire her Magnum, when she smiles in an evil manner as she gets an idea.

With her free hand, Rebecca draws a stun baton! Metal reacts to electricity, doesn't it? Let's see how Metal Man likes a shocking surprise from Rebecca as she tries to strike with her electrified baton while pulling back a little.
Samira Amirmuaz     Unfortunately for the men of XCOM, they were not trained nor equipped to deal with Elites as of yet. Time may change that, but right now this is a fight that is theirs to lose, flat-out. Samira is grimly coming to that realization back at the Avenger, too. Bradford looks to her with some concern... she shakes her head slowly. "If Firebrand cannot retrieve the package in time, she will leave it to our ally's 'measures'. Menace 1-5 must be extracted, soon."

Kelly curses under her breath when her shot just pings off of the shields - what the hell were those made out of, anyway? No time to really make a guess, as Sanary comes to a stand and takes umbridge against her previous actions. "Fuck off, xeno bitch. You're a traitor to your goddamn species," is Kelly's professional response, losing out to her Irish accent while she drops her shotgun on the strap and instead goes for the machete slung on her back. Sanary is /fast/, though, much faster than her. It's all Kelly can do to avoid taking the blow head-on, but she's still swatted aside and sent reeling with an uncomfortable amount of force. It leaves her seeing stars for a few moments, but once her head is clear she growls and tries to bring the blade to bear against Sanary, to slip it behind her shield and strike home.

Back at the wall, Thompson and Olivera are unfortunately unable to look beyond the illusions that haunt them, and both panic. Neither end up passing out, per say, but they're both left swatting at empty air and mewling like children. DeGaspard doesn't seem phased... instead, he seems annoyed. Annoyed enough to snatch a flashbang off of Thompson's belt while he squirms like an idiot, and throw it for where he'd seen that disappearing woman last. If she were anything like a Sectoid, it might succeed in halting her abilities long enough to get these two fools back into play before everything was lost.
Mitsu Mirage     Claws find purchase and that's wonderful! But... with a wound that size, it should have ran... It doesn't. She finishes her little drill motion by slamming into a tree... and with that tail whipping around, it smashes right into her, sending her flying into a nearby wall and right through it! She goes tumbling, possibly taking out a few grunts on the way... "Owie... Owie owie owie! I.. I think something got broke..." she groans. She moves to stand up and shake her head, wincing. "Man, that hurt."

She groans out a bit and sighs, "What can I use..." she mutters, running forward... wincing a bit more as her legs seize up, tumbling again. "Damnit, my legs." she looks up, facing that T-Rex, "Well, lets see..." There's a small 'kathunk' as the claws from the gauntlets... "Shocker Tazer!" with a shotgun blast, those six dagger-like claws fire off with cables attached to them right towards the T-Rex and try to hook right into it! A couple more shotgun sounds and, regardless if they embed themselves into the T-Rex, lightning courses through those cables and into the daggers. "Kyaahahahaha!"
Richard Stadler As the Tyrants come at them, more of Rick's people fall. He's down to the same level of effectives as the USS, but the Tyrants were down, and those Hunters were next. It was something that needed to be dealt with quickly; the weapons that could kill them were also low maganzine affairs, and there simply wasn't enough time to slap in a fresh clip or work in a speed loader. RIck manages to fire his last three rounds at the third HUnter that comes to, before the first one is on top of him...For a moment.

Stadler knew what he was dealing with. If there were soldiers that had studied the MA-120 at all, that would be Rick. So it wouldn't be a suprise to those that know him when he drops the empty pistol, grabs his rifle, and lifts it up, bracing it like a pike aganist the Hunter, before using it's momentum and possible impalement to arc it over him, and then onto the ground.

And then he's pressing down on the rifle, trench spike in hand. And then slaming it in repeatedly into the things left eye, the one thing that wouldn't have been protected by bone. "I. DO NOT. HAVE THE FUCKING /TIME/!" He screams at it, jamming it in again and again until the damned thing stops moving.

The remaining special forces soldeirs redirect every effort aganist that USS team that survived. One of them had a new M27 straight from a Marine Corps supply depot, and was using it to lay accurtate bursts aganist them. If it didn't kill them, it would give Rick time to scramble back to the radio. "Anteater, you have maps of the site. There is an escape tunnel leading out. I want you to collapse the damn thing! Top Priority!"

He could not let that sample escape to Umbrella. If they couldn't get out, the cold calculus was a scientist and an Elite were not worth another dead city.
Staren     It's... not dead. But it is out of ammo! Fortunately, his tactical awareness lets him know the charge is coming. Unfortunately, that means he /finally/ has to give up on chasing Wesker. Instead, he RUNS for the nearest door or window perpendicular to the oncoming Tyrant. Once he's outside and has some more room to maneuver, he dumps more firepower into the tyrant -- his beam cannons, and then he finally remembers something about zombies on Stadler's world needing a brain to operate. At THAT memory, he grins: "Gotcha..."

His suit is loaded with six anti-tank micromissiles in the arms, about the size of magic markers thanks to advanced technology. One at a time, he starts firing them at the tyrant's head (they home, so he doesn't need to aim precisely.)

Hopefully Wesker didn't give it a spare brain or something!
Metal Man Metal Man is just doing his thing here and he's got her good it's not enough to stop her however the stunbaton does have some effect but it seems Dr. Wily unlike many mad robot makers? Generally puts a fair number of surge protectors into his creations unless they would cause issues for their weapon systems. Metal gets a pretty big jolt. There's a bit of a dance of eletical arcs over his body but it's not enough to stop him. It does buy her time.

"Heh cleaver but do I look like Ice Man to you?"

With that he comes about again trying to shoulder check Rebecca.
Yari Takane Oh, hey, it looks like that tactic wo...

DeGaspard is a smart man, as even ninjas aren't immune to flashbangs. FWOOMPH! KAPOW! The au ra is suddenly rolling around behind her stone wall, hissing and generally making sounds of agony as she catches it right in the peepers. The illusion fades just like that. It gives the group some time to get back in the game, or at least gather everyone together in order to start evac'ing!

After a good solid fifteen seconds of pain, Yari finally can see again. With Wesker taking care of things, it's time to help out Sanary more directly. The ninja makes a handseal, and suddenly there's a Clone Yari rushing out from her cover to leap, flip, roll, and generally acrobatically make for the group on the wall openly and aggressively. Two more follow!

Yari hesitates for a few to make sure the Clone Yaris have been spotted, and then she makes a grand leap towards Kelly and Sanary! Handseals, and Yari sucks in a breath!

"Katon! Bursting Flame!" She calls out, and breathes out. A large fireball lights up the sky, only to split apart before falling towards Samira's assault trooper!

None of them would be enough to kill the woman even if they hit directly, but they're good for causing plenty of fire and reasons to get away from the healer.

"If you want a 'xeno', then come for me!" She taunts before unsheathing her umbrella-sword!
Albert Wesker     The Hunter goes down, twitching as Stadler repeatedly shanks it in the brain before it goes limp and dies. The remaining Hunters also wind up torn apart by gunfire, while they do get in some nasty hits. The USS team weigh their options as they trade fire with Stadler's men, before they begin to fall back into the smoldering field. "Fuck it, we've done what we can. Into the field!" The ranking soldier orders, dropping smoke to cover their escape. Wounded and low on ammo, they've definitely fought hard, possibly with their tails between their legs.

The Tyrant engaging Staren doesn't die well, as Staren goes to town on it with a number of missiles. Despite its mutations and aggression skyrocketing, the Tyrant is torn apart with ordinance, splattering the immediate area in chunky salsa. It's nasty.

MEANWHILE, Wesker and Kyra face off, the blond growling angrily. "Do you even REALIZE who you are proecting? He is a traitor, and besides that, carries research that would change the entire world as you know it! Surrender him, unless you wish to see him die just before I end your pathetic life as well." He threatens, before he notices Jennings making a run for it. "I won't let my life be spent working for a monster like you any longer!" the scientist calls, enraging Wesker further.

He roars hatefully, before aiming a last shot to his back.

Just in time for the tunnel to begin collapsing.
Sanary Rondel Even Sanary's not sure what her shields are made of! Note to self: Ask Alexis about the riot shield and try to figure out what that ice wyvern was called that the kite shield is made of. Also, ask Yari about whatver it is she's done to those other soldiers that aren't the one that's right in front of her.

Speaking of the one right in front of her, Kelly's actually moving quite a bit faster than Sanary anticipated! Although the armored healer might have the edge from Elite-fighting experience, the trooper's agility is still more than enough to keep Sanary from getting a clean hit on her. She raises an eyebrow as she's even shouted at, and that momentary distraction gives Kelly enough time to bring that machete down before she can get a shield back up properly.

Alas, whatever green monstrosity that this armor's made of is apparently strong enough that the machete isn't going to cut straight through, and instead it just digs in and finds purchase elsewhere in another joint. Instead of trying to retaliate right away, though, Sanary stops. She almost looks like she's muttering to herself, and there's a green light cloud flowing around the part of her arm where that machete is digging into as she pours some healing magic right into that. And then...

"... I'm not either of those things. And neither is she." Sounding more confused than anything else by both Kelly and Yari now, the healer finally rears her other arm back to try and slam that shield into Kelly once more! After that, however, she starts trying to back away. New plan, perhaps?
Finna Daggers FLY for the T-Rex. Straight at it! For an ordinary beast, this would probably be the end of it! But...

    It's not so ordinary.

Sparks fly as the beast's tiny, practically-useless foreclaws move like lightning and PINCH ALL OF THE DAGGERS OUT OF THE AIR in a split-second!

And in that moment, its lips peel back in a way that no beast's could. It's grinning DEATH at Mitsu.

Of course, Finna wasn't counting on the lightning! The sudden SHOCK brings the beast down and staggering, all of its muscles firing wrong and chunks of its skin bursting into flames! At least it has no fur, so fire isn't that big of a worry... yet!

The beast groans and howls in protest, but eventually SLAMS a foot into the ground and regains its balance.

And it's still holding on to those LIVE WIRE DAGGERS!

Mitsu might want to reconsider this method in the future. With an unbelievably dextrous manuever the T-Rex WRAPS ITS TINY ARMS around the wires to hold them tight... and moves to turn the tables.

There's really no questioning who's the 'heavyweight' in the most literal terms here. It LEAPS backwards, hoping to yank Mitsu right off her feet!

... But somehow, instead of landing on its feet, it balances off the ground on its TAIL...

... Oh yes. It's intending to put Mitsu through a series of PADDLEBALL KICKING!
Kyra Hyral "Of course I know! I've been talking with this man for a day!" Kyra shoots Wesker again, her earpiece buzzing with all sorts of people warning her of incoming airstrikes and disappearing extraction teams. Great. Kyra's response to that? She screams out "RAFFLESIA! Get us out of here!"

The Falcon-class ship, stationed in orbit above this Earth, starts moving, lowering slightly in descent and priming up its teleportation-recall routines. The AI controlled ship had been waiting, not even intended to be used as a Plan B, but definitely becoming such a thing tonight.

They were going to collapse the tunnels. If they were in them, they'd definitely die. Part of her feels irritated that she's not gven much option for /escaping/. In fact, if the Rafflesia hadn't been there...

Kyra breaks away, leaping onto Dr. Jennings' back, most to take hold of him so he can come with her when the teleportation starts. But this has the added effect of putting her in the line of fire, a bullet embedding into her back from Wesker's gun.

A moment later, they both are gone, and Wesker is left alone in a soon-to-collapse tunnel.
Samira Amirmuaz      Freed from the ninja's oppressive magic, Olivera and Thompson finally manage to get their heads back into the game, where they belonged. However, all of them are injured, and at this point there wasn't much of a reason for them to /stay/. For which, Olivera pulls a flare out from her belt and tosses it a few feet away, burning bright blue; once it lands, the flame splits into several smaller blue fires, forming into a neat little square. The Skyranger recieves the alert, and soon the sound of it's screaming engines fills the air again as it comes to a stop above the indicated drop zone.

Kelly, meanwhile, is left to deal with Sanary, and now Yari... which is tons of fun for her. THe machete can't even do all that much, though once it finds purchase in the joint she rips at it viciously while Sanary stands there confused, letting it saw through the meat of her arm while she retracts it. And... she's promptly pummeled again, sent flying several feet while one of the fireballs misses, and the other smacks her in her side. Burning kevlar is not necessarily a good smell. Kelly is left on her knees, gasping with her arm wrapped protectively around her stomach and side. This wasn't going well at all.

Olivera, seeking to take at least some of the heat from her squadmate, drags out the last grenade the group has and throws it at Sanary's feet, while Thompson moves to try and help Kelly get back to the evac point, and DeGaspard provides covering fire, trying to discourage them from coming close. Once they're all within the evac zone, four cables drop down for the group to seize hold of, and the Skyranger lifts back up into the sky as fast as it's engine will carry it... which is, actually, impressively fast.
Richard Stadler Rick's soldiers keep sending rounds toward the USS, firing at shapes and whispers moving back through the cornfield itself. The fire doesn't slacken off until Rick gives the shout. "Cease fire, cease fire!" ANd the fire slackens off, then ceases. There's a quiet for a moment, just for a moment, before the sound of roaring jet engines fill the air. "Cover!" Comes the alarm, and everyone digs in.

The fight of two F-16Cs may be from the Air National Guard, but the pilots knew what they were doing, and knew of the tunnel. It was just a matter of coming in and dropping delayed explosives, 1000 pound GBUs that dig into the ground in an almost frighteningly percise straight line, explosions happening several seconds after the burrow in. The ear splitting results cause tunnel to collapse in sequence, the soudn fading with the jets into a true silence.

And Stadler sighs. "I fogot what these things were like. Lord, give me something simple one of these days. Let's pick up the pieces and get out of here."
Mitsu Mirage     Whoosh... daggers fly... cables go taut... "Did I ..." a pause, it's grinning. Why is... a T-Rex grinning. "HOW IS IT GRINNING?!" at least the shocking is taking its toll, but man does aged lizard skin and flesh smell when shocked. Welp... Wait, what its doing? Mitsu blinks a bit... and mutters. "Oh shit..."

And she's whisked away, flying into the air as she's tugged towards the T-Rex that's ... somehow balancing upon its tail. "This thing just gets creepier and cre..." kick... bounce, kick, bounce.. "Ow god... damn... that hurts!" she groans with each kick and tug back. "Ugh, this thing's going to break my arms!" she coughs and ponders... what to do here. She winces with each kick, pondering what to do here.

Upon the next kick... Mitsu grabs onto the foot. "Damnit! SHOCKER BREAKER!" she holds on tightly and with a few more loud shotgun blasts, a very large ball of lightning magic encompasses her and hopefully the T-Rex as well, making a massive explosion right where she is!
Albert Wesker     "NO! NOOOO!" Wesker is not having a good night. All his BOW he sent died, his helicopter blew up, the USS guys are bugging out...

And Kyra ran away with his target without even having the courtesy to fucking die from that last bullet. He has an entire set of earth bury him underground, and the tunnel is no more. Hell, the whole blacksite is practically obliterated, such is the might of Elite on Elite combat.

By the time the Union are away, Jennings in tow, Wesker's fist emerges from the ground, and the leader of Umbrella digs himself out of the ground through sure SPITE, dirt and blood covering his battered and bloodied body. A muffled "AAAAARGH!" escapes Wesker as he tries to free himself, completely aware of how undignified this is.
Yari Takane Yari has a few problems. Two of them in fact. The first, is the fact that there's a grenade at Sanary and her feet. That blows up neatly thanks to a well timed toss that even the ninja can't fully escape! Her good arm gets smacked with shrapnel, and she goes flying from the force of the impact! The sleeve of her kimono is ripped off from the blow, the young au ra going head-over-tail in an almost comical roll. Whump! Right on the ground.

And then there's /BOMBING/! Actual bombing. The ninja turns to Kelly as she gets to her feet. She almost looks impressed with the woman.

"You...next time, I'll fight you myself." She warns, ever the mysterious ninja. Then, she's backflipping one-handed in order to dodge the dregs of bombing that disrupts the battlefield, leaving X-com's forces more than enough time to get away!

Then, she has one final duty as a fist yoinks up from the ground. Wesker is alive. Yari, despite the bleeding and pain, ninja-flips over and helpfully pulls out a shovel. Time to dig out Wesker.

"...You should really keep a shovel, Sir. I find it's useful when you least expect it." Dig dig dig dig. The ninja is completely serious and respectful here.
Sanary Rondel Sanary probably shouldn't have tried healing until after the machete was dragged out of her arm, but.. Hey! At least her arm's still (technically) in one piece. "R... Really?" She hisses out with a pained grimace while focusing more healing into it to give her enough strength to at least hold onto those shields. Without the threat of gunfire being sent her way, though, she's finally able to focus her energies on more supportive tasks.

Before she gets ready to take off with the AANS around her ankles and the gray hoops forming around her shoulders, she does stay there a moment to generate another green healing light cloud. Most of it is sent Yari's way as she heads over to extract Wesker, but a small amount is also sent Kelly's way to help speed up her natural regeneration a smidge: Probably not enough to get her back into the fight, but maybe enough to keep her from suffering too much from internal bleeding or whatever!

     Sanary's a medic, not a doctor. There's a difference!

She also tosses a business card Kelly's way, then takes to the sky with the AANS and gray loops receiving a steady flow of energy to get her floating. Coincidentally, that's probably when she finally realizes that there even was a grenade when it promptly blows up underneath her, giving her both a boost into the air and healthy amount of shrapnel in her legs.

"Geh... R-eally?! Come on!" Actually sounding frustrated now, she puts even more energy around her legs to stem the flow of blood before finally starting to head towards her actual destination. With a clear shot between her and where Mitsu and giant-lizard-Finna are, it's a fairly simple matter to get there quickly! Stopping accurately, though, is something's she's probably planned for.

If by planning, she's really just going to use Finna as a landing zone with those shields directly in front of her. Someone's gotta get Mitsu out of there, after all!
Metal Man Metal Man sees Chambers has been driven off and he's going to pull out. He knows it's not a good thing to hang around of however given Mits and Sanary's situation Metal Man does not leave the area no he's going to hang back and act to help them get out if they need it.
Finna KABOOOOOOOOM! One of the last things that Finna was xpecting... an explosion at POINT BLANK?! And one that's powerful enough that it sends even the colossal creature backwards, losing its grip on the cables! Those litle arms aren't good for much. Definitely not good for holding onto wires!

So it SAILS BACKWARDS, toppling and rolling, huge chunks of its flesh seared and scorched and scraped off, and plenty of blood splashing all over the ground. It strangely manages to regain its balance instead of toppling over, recovering via a strange-looking lopsided-BACKFLIP... but then limps onto its good leg.

And growf-RRRRRFSGHS when it's suddenly used as a landing pad. WHAM!

The Tyrant Lizard wobbles forward, unwilling to put weight on the hurt foot....
Mitsu Mirage     The explosion rocks Mitsu as well, sending her back with a singed ... everything. Blackened outfit, frayed hair, busted everything. There's dents and cracks upon Kraztenfaust... and there's a hint of a rabbit ear showing. "Owie... owowowowow... that hurts!" she winces out trying to pick herself back up off the ground. "Nnngh, it... it5's wounded. Time to kill it, I'm done with it." she screams out as she hops up on her legs... only to fall face first into the ground.

Still wounded. "Nngh. Kratzenfaust, do something. Shoot it..." she grumbles, "Forget it... Shocker... Brea..." she shakes her head... she looks at Kratzenfaust... "Damnit. Shock Blast..." a small ball lightning forms on those claws and she throws it right at the unwounded leg... "Now die!"
Sanary Rondel What is with Sanary and landing on her shields today? Even with the padding on the inside, it still freaking hurts! Still, what's done is done, and... Wait a second. This tyrant lizard looks familiar. For starters... It's a freaking tyrant lizard.

"... Oh. Uh. Hey, Finna." Sanary just talking to everyone now, isn't she? Well, no matter. She doesn't appear to be too hostile towards the transformed fox lady, and... Well, she's got other things to worry about, anyway. Dragging herself up and off her impromptu landing pad with those gray hoops around her shoulders, the healer floats down to where Mitsu is and unceremoniously hoists her and Kratzenfaust up over her should like a sack of unnaturally-eared potatoes.

"Alright. We're going to just... Go now." This is getting too awkward way too fast. Sanary glances over at where she had come from moments ago to do a quick head count before taking off once more, healing energy moving in a steady flow from the healer directly into Mitsu. It's time to get the hell out of dodge!

Or Whyomming. Weeoming? What a weird name for a place.
Finna The Tyrant lizard ain't going down that easy! The titanic beast steadies itself, ignoring the pain as once again its life is threatened. And it lowers its head with a bone-rumbling snarl.

    Not in submission, though.

Instead, there's a flash of silvery-white light as it RAMS ITS HEAD FORWARD, butting the lightning ball with tremendous force.

The impossible happens. There's a flash of silvery light. The lightning blast COMPRESSES. It bends. .... IT RICOCHETS!

... Straight into a tree, which promptly bursts into flames instead.

And a very dissatisfied GROWL'S aimed at Mitsu and Sanary. The beast about-faces... and its back ripples freakishly. HUGE WHITE WINGS sprout from it... and despite the pain it gets a running start and KICKS OFF THE GROUND, soaring off...
Albert Wesker     As soon as Wesker digs himself out of the dirt, he's too pissed to even try and dust himself off.

"I don't know how, I don't know WHEN...but I WILL KILL YOU ALL!" He calls, as if the Union aligned Elites will even hear that. His outburst earlier on the broadband will sum that up fine though.

He calls for an extraction via a second backup helicopter, calling for the USS team survivors while he's at it. "We're done here."
