Eryl Fairfax     The sun is setting on the scorched world by the time the building formerly known as the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia comes into view. The sea has risen up on all sides, the levels inflated by the dust and dirt that makes it churn into mud with each sludge wave that crashes on the shore.

The building itself has seen better days. The front wall would have once consisted mostly of windows, has now been heavily boarded up and fortified, with gaps in it enough to poke a gun through. The stone framing is cracking with lichen sprouting from it. Give it another decade or so, and the whole place might come down.

The approach is rather treacherous, owing to the thick dust underfoot, thick enough to conceal the actual front doors. Mixed with the nearby seawater, it threatens to suck you in, should you step off the path of debris that someone has made. Essentially, anyone on approach is a row of ducks to anyone from inside with a decent trigger finger.

On this day, the two soldiers assigned to the Elite force consists of William Davidson, the mountain of a man with sandy decorated dreads, along with the elderly, weathered Lily Cooper, matronly smile on her face the whole time. Each comes bearing weapons, the man with a large gauss rifle across his back, the woman with a slim pistol hanging from her hip. They're keeping them away, and have asked everyone to do the same until they know what they're dealing with.

"The other settlers had little in the way of details," Lily had explained calmly during the initial briefing. "Just that they had clashed with this group in the past. They called them 'machine-men,' but don't take that too literally." William spoke up at that point, a rare thing. "They sound like warriors," he rumbled. "So approach them as such. Cautiously, but without weapons bared. Respect must be earned before all else."
Eryl Fairfax     Speaking of that other group of settlers, some may be here today because of them, and not for what ReGenesis is asking them to do. They ask for peace and diplomacy. This other group? Well, the offer posted says it all;

"To all the cool cats with razzmatazz out there! We here have ourselves a sticky situation. Some fatcats want to make peace with some barbarians who got their heads on wrong, and we don't take kindly to that! So here's what we want; you go along with them like you're gonna take their money. But when you get there... try and see that severe misfortune falls on their heads. We got no special requests, we'd hate to block your shine! Just do your best, and bring us back some proof, and you'll be richly rewarded!"
Alexis Maaka     "Wow, Canada ate it worse than it did back in my world." Maaka muses as she watches the apocalyptic wastelands in the distance. Pause. She grins cheekily to her companions with a chuckle, "I'm kidding, Canada's fine for the most part. Alberta's kind of a shithole, and Winnipeg is literally just Detroit for Canadians, but ehhhh...manageable next to the US." Shrug.

The concern of weapons isn't too much of a big deal to Maaka. She's got her Kama, but the rest of her arsenal is tucked away in her inventory, as she's got a coat over everything to prevent being too terribly conspicuous. "Diplomacy's not my strongest suit..." She admits, trying to keep her schmagh from muffling her voice too much. She didn't see reason to show up in high tech battle armor for this mission.

Still, nothing says one can't give it the college try. Not like she can't requip if she needs to, thanks to the Matter Manipulator.
Danse Rather than merely Danse, himself, he is -- as others present that had met him would have no doubt become accustomed to -- completely garbed in a well-maintained suit of T-60 power armor, with the Brotherhood of Steel's distinctive clockwork-and-sword-with-wings emblem. As it is, ostensibly, a diplomatic mission they are on in this world, he does forgo the helmet, this time, though most of his head side his face is still concealed by the hood of the flight suit-like garment, seemingly worn beneath. His countenance is a bit weathered and stern, a bit like the landscape they're crossing, though as it was specifically requested, he'll keep his laser cold and holstered, for the time being, even as his eyes scan the vicinity.

With every hydraulics-assisted shift of the heavy frame, he is actually a pretty good fit for the description of a 'machine-man', himself. Even if that could mean any number of things.

"Understood. I have some experience...co-existing with cautious, and potentially hostile, locals." If they've actually built some kind of society for themselves, maybe they're not Raiders, or something similar. But that counter-offer did lead to some currently unvoiced questions. The last group was certainly quirky, but did not seem actively malevolent. What beef did they have with this other apparent settlement? Was it conflicts over scarce resources, or something else? Keeping all the information in the back of his mind, he'll make his call once he sees the actual situation on the ground, aside from that their stronghold has seen much better days, and looks like it might crumble away in a few hundred more.

He could care less about any rewards that may be had. He's more interested in what existential threat these machine-men might pose. Though, the mention of another sort-of-ruined Canada draws his attention. "'Newly-Annexed Canada...,'" he trails off, under his breath, before explaining: "In my world, the pre-war United States occupied Canada, under the auspices of routing the Chinese invasion of Anchorage. I've heard little of what happened to it, though the tales of 'Ronto' lead me to believe it didn't fare much better." Probably some mutated, two-headed rad moose roaming the wastes.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks to Alexis for a moment nodding and cringes abit.

"I'm from the Vancouver region. Think how creepy it is for me?"

She notes as she falls in with Maaka for a moment.

"When is Alberta not kinda a shit hole? If it's not poltically the winters are hell there."

She's taking it in stride for a moment and just doesn't comment on Winnipeg at all.

"Okay so keep our weapons not deployed I can do that."

She looked over to Danse for a moment grinning for a moment at the mention of machine-man.

"A machineman and few machine women? This should proe ot be interesting. I'm ready to go Danse and it's good to see you getting out off of your world for a bit."
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu's there for her own reasons, mainly for any reward she can get, after all, money goes a long way to further her goals. "Sounds like a great job." she whispers to herself, bouncing here and there as she makes her way towards the target location, keeping behind any people she sees. After all, she's not really wanting to pick a fight with anyone else around... she has a target and she's going to blow it up... or shock it... or something.. Kratzenfaust has many fun ways to do things.

<Master. Are you sure you don't want to equip your barrier jacket?> comes the German voice from her device, the bracelets around her wrists start muttering. <It would be advisable to be prepared, there are unknown dangers here.> ... "Sometimes, I hate it when you're right, Kratzenfaust. Alright, let's get changed up. Away from that pack of people, don't need them seeing us right now." hopping away, it doesn't take her too long to transform into her barrier jacket and with Kratzenfaust taking its natural form. "Alright..."
Rory White Having verified that the world ReGenesis wishes to resuscitate is not quite as dangerous as it could be, Rory White has resolved to bring only a minimum of weaponry. This time, she's here in her blue-haired socially-oriented Morph, dressed in a flowing white robecoat that seems to be a strange hybrid between 'priestess' and 'scientist.' Someone really needs to have a word with whoever designed it, it's like she walked straight out of some fantasy RPG...

But oh well, the fact of the matter is, she's hiding only light weapons under the outfit, and has only brought a few saucers hovering in the sky ahead. A kilometer away... a pair of Arachnoids, man-sized robots that skate around on spider legs ending in wheels... lurk behind, staying under cover. They're only here in case the shit hits the fan.

In which case, they might take a bit to arrive...

"Machine men. Cyborgs? Robots? Technicians? It can be interpreted in many ways..."
Eryl Fairfax     "It's like this all over," William says gruffly to Alexis, another rare sentence from the man. "That's okay dear. If they're as bad as they way, we might need some muscle," Lily adds reassuringly. She follows this with a look at Danse, who makes the rubble-path sink a bit with each footstep. "Wars had become... infrequent, before all this. Resources were no longer worth fighting over, and our expansion to the moon meant there was space for everyone. You still got arguments over religion, culture, race... but most had gone past those things."

William looks to Kotone for a long moment. "Then we'll be trusting in your knowledge," he says simply, not a trace of irony in his voice. Amidst all of the conversation, Mitsu is able to slip away easily and shift into her Barrier Jacket. Surely a change of clothes wouldn't be too threatening, right? "It can be, which is why I said not to take it literally. We don't have any records of humanoid robotics being made in the Before Times, so I don't think it likely that they're andr-"

She is cut off, by movement at the 'door' (actually one of the first floor windows, broken open with a loose tarp over it). A figure emerges, with a gun trained on them, one of the slim EM handguns like what Lily carries. There is movement among the other fortified windows as well, hints of guns being poked out and aimed down. It's hard to see them, but the man at the door is very clearly visible.

He's tall, a bit skinny, and clad all in black. It looks like some kind of police uniform, but somehow made entirely black, through paint or motor oil. He wears the cap, but the symbol of authority is obscured by a crudely crafted hunk of scrap made to resemble an eagle.

And on his right arm is a red armband. On it is a white circle with a black swastika inside it.

"Who are you? State your business!" he barks, in words recognizable as German distorted by time.
Alexis Maaka     "Am I glitching or is that guy sporting a-" ANd then German is spoken, and Maaka glances at the armband again>

"Holy shit, the Nazis survived." She says, as if she just saw someone fumble a pass in footie. There's a very awkward silence from the cyborg as she just tries to figure out how this went, before she goes to the next important thing. "We're here to negotiate, that's all!" She calls out. Her Australian accent, rather butch appearance, and Asian-Anglo features might be more than a bit unhelpful for trying to play nice with Fritz, but Maaka's more confused than anything.

Guess the history books left behind factored somehow into this.
Danse If Danse has some kind of ultra-sophisticated radar that can sense shenanigans, such as Mitsu's, he doesn't seem aware of them. (Maybe because he doesn't have the helmet on, d'uh. Though more appropriately it doesn't have a very long range, anyway, and they weren't really expecting much else to be alive out here.) "Being completely exposed like this, and forced down one track. Whatever they are, White, it isn't foolish." Kotone also receives a nod of acknowledgement, and is that even a slight upturn of a corner of his mouth, as a vague trace of a smile? It's short-lived, whatever it was, "Haylen and Rhys, along with the assistance of offworlders such as yourself and White, have our corner of Cambridge well-secured. Haylen also puts in requests for me to do these sorts of investigations, even though it's clear she just wants me to get some fresh air. I'll humor her." He's speaking candidly, for once. And did he just call this 'fresh' air?

The small talk, both in person and via radio frequencies, comes to a pause from him, however, as they draw closer to the actual objective. The Paladin isn't certain of what he expected to find living inside, but whatever it was, well, it certainly wasn't this. Those with an eye trained on Danse might see a faint twitch of a brow, as well as the right index finger on his power armor's gauntlets, but he otherwise remains motionless for the moment. He can't even honestly bring himself to say even a simple, 'our intentions are peaceful,' at the sight of something even he recognizes. (War victories are definitely one of the things the pre-war US government made certain to enshrine.) Instead he makes a sort of grained, non-commital sound from his throat.

Rory, Kotone, Lily, do something! Before he does something that might be regrettable. (Or may not.)
Rory White "Or it could refer to rigid discipline." Rory remarks after-the-fact, faced with a number of guns. Rory's numerous eyes in the sky switch to thermal cam, revealing - at least to her and Kotone - quite more than the naked eye can see. Every manned window and gun pointed at them, quite probably...

"Peace, soldiers. Guten abend!" She shows both her hands, that they are empty! And after a moment it's apparent that she's actually switched to German. She can speak German? when did that happen?

Universal translation is a duty of every Muse. Her AI assistant is certainly to blame for that one. Though four words is apparently as far as she's going with that... she quickly shifts back to English.

"My name is Rory White, representing a number of organizations, first of which today is ReGenesis!" She looks towards their representatives on-hand to explain that one more officially...

"We bring news of events from the rest of the world, trade offers, and visions of rebuilding what was.... so that none merely eke a living by picking clean a civilization's bones."

Wow, she might've prepared some of this speech.

Showing a smile, Rory bows respectfully... and rises smoothly.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa does not presume to know everything about this ruined Vancouver but her general understanding of the region back home might be able to help her figure out things here. The often tends to be some things in common. She seems to be as ready as she can be she does pull up a map of her city to try and use as a reference, it might be useful, it might not. She takes a moment to look the man over and can't help but get some chills from just how he's dressed. While she keeps a calm look she does hear the German. She keeps calm though a she looks them over.

"I am Kotone Yamakawa. I am as well in the employ of ReGenesis, and have come on the same mission."
Mitsu Mirage     "They only specified misfortune, huh." Mitsu's lip curls up in a smile, one of those 'I'm going to be mean' smiles. Cartridges load, shotgun shells sound like they're loading, possibly echoing somewhere and she listens to the speech. "Hey, they sound like you, Kratzenfaust." she remarks, earning a small chime from the Device in response. "Well, let's have a great time, shall we?" she grins, running towards another facing, keeping herself hidden just a bit longer.

Unfortunately, the Rabbit of the TSAB isn't patient. "SHOCKER BREAKER!" comes a very loud cry as balled lightning, blue in color, comes rapidly shooting out from those gauntlets towards the town, looking to just destroy anything and everything in its way. "Blue Lightning Smasher!" it's here Mitsu jumps into the air very high, high enough to be seen, heard and possibly ready to run away as she throws, baseball style, a large ball of lightning towards the group!

The shotgun sounds are heard again, "Shocker Shield..." and soon, she's covered in a ball of electricity, still effectively being seen, though, "Hi~! Prepare to lose everything you liked here."
Eryl Fairfax     No immediate shots fired, a good start. The Nazi stands ready, lowering the gun slightly to listen to the group. Offers of negotiation, of aid... Rory's speaking in German probably helps their case some. And if he is offended by Alexis' apparent mixed heritage, he doesn't show it at all. He looks upon all of them with an equal amount of caution...

    Until he lowers the gun.

And in that moment, Mitsu does something shocking.

The lighting carves through the fortifications on the windows, setting them alight. Judging by the screams, she must have gotten more than a few. The face of the Nazi at the door twists into an expression of fury as he raises the gun again, barking an order to fire in German.

The telltale hiss of electromagnetic bullets flying through the air. The surviving snipers and the lead Nazi fire, mixing their shots between Mitsu and the group, who now find themselves sandwiched between angry survivors and Mitsu.
Alexis Maaka     Well there goes diplomacy!

"Who the fuck is that?!" Maaka yells, before she sees Mitsu taking shots at the Nazis, intentionally to heat things up. Oh, this will not stand.

Immediately, she draws up her EM Gash through her Matter Manipulator's inventory, setting the weapon to penetrate hard cover with a few adjustments of output, and she takes cover.

She aims down the scope towards Mitsu first, before she's nearly disarmed literally by an EM rifle shot. Growling in pain, she aims towards the Nazi barricade in retaliation, firing a few warning shots. "STOP FIRING, YOU FUCKING IDIOTS! SHE'S NOT AFFILIATED WITH US!" Hopefully the blunt response will work.

    Probably won't.
Danse Well, it couldn't be said that the situation was optimal, but it was at least advancing in a common interest, before whatever they were to find inside would undoubtedly prompt a decision to be made. Sounds like thunder and shotguns, and shotgun thunder, suddenly break the surprisingly peaceful and relatively quiet exchange, however, and Danse quickly pivots toward the source. When pieces of the fortifications break off some of the already fragile facade, the Paladin moves to shield any of the more vulnerable members of his immediate group with his body, or more precisely, that of his power armor. Metallic thunks ring hollow, and it probably adds a few dents, but these suits survived sometimes 210 years of neglect for a reason: They were built tough. "Live fire situation!" Yes Danse, everyone knows, but it's reflex to bark out status reports.

To make matters worse, once the dust proverbially and literally settles, the people inside the fort apparently decide it's better to just err on the side of 'obviously everyone is an enemy'. Unlike the ringing pangs that greeted debris impacting his power armor, the electromagnetic weapons noticably, and deeply, ablate into the metal plating. Elemental weakness!? Quickly placing his helmet on, he calls out, "We don't have the numbers to fight between two fronts. If any of you have a diplomatic trump card, now would be the time to play it!" It doesn't necessarily mean he's going to abandon the current conflict they've suddenly found themselves in, though: Though the Naz-ehs' shots do find deep purchase in his armor, it's clearly that newcomer is probably the more immediate threat, since she has the capability to inflict damage more broadly, and apparently, quickly.

Danse does not, dodge, so much as absorb. Power armor can be fast, but that's usually only if it moves in a straight line. Lateral quickness is another beast entirely. While the suit is insulated, to at least some extent, some power surge inevitably still leaks through, causing the Paladin to grunt from soaking up the current that the suit can't ground completely. The laser rifle that he had at his side is no longer cold, the optics quickly warming up and calibrating, and returning a volley of intensely red beams at Mitsu. As much as he would love to have some cover right now, the building is a liability, and if the occupants are smart, they would realize that.
Kotone Yamakawa She can't fault the other guards for opening up but damn this was a set up. She knows what she has to do, she lets several scout drones lose. She's also running as they come uner fire. It was clear someone was trying to sabotage Regen making a deal with these guys. She didn't care what the guys had done at this point she was pissed she was pissed as shit like this.

"We'll bring the attacker to you and they are all yours as what to do with her."

With that she cloaks and she's now trying to track down Mits. She doesn't ay a thing now that's she cloaked but she's already trying to hint own Mitsu to get close, she's got a plan but she's got to get in close.
Mitsu Mirage     Not affiliated? Ah, sure, we can go with that. Mitsu grins as she lands and the bullets and em shots go flying, some of those bouncing off the Shocker Shield she's got. "Well, I think that might have stirred the hornets nest." she giggles some as Mitsu takes off to close in with melee. Or to better aim something. "So, your 'friends' here hired me to destroy this place, they did a good job distracting you idiots." yes Mitsu, let's make this situation worse. "However, as I'm wont to do..."

<Master. Someone is using stealth.> comes Kratzenfaust's warning, causing the Belkan Mage to ponder. Oh well! A quick look around... there's a Danse in armor... an Alexis... a bunch of Nazis and... wasn't there another person there? Oh, and there's Rory too! Mitsu knows NONE of them. "Hehe, I don't have to be discriminate here, do I?" <You do not.> "Good. Let's wreck them all shall we?"

Now a MANY on One battle is something that Mitsu's not going to survive if it's everyone against her, so... let's misdirect some of this. She tosses out a small black hole in front of her and another appears somewhere else.. and as bullets start flying into that black hole, they fly out of the other end that's facing either at people or even important structures. "Lightning Whip!" she shouts, launching a hand forward and three of the dagger-like claws shoot out with some sort of high tensile metal guiding them, trying to wrap around someone to shock the shit out of them while her other hand moves to try and grab one of the 'good guys' trying to salvage to do the same thing!
Eryl Fairfax     The Nazis do not, in fact, listen to everyone as they claim no party with Mitsu. Made even worse when she claims that they had hired her. Lily has drawn her own pistol, and is shooting the Nazis herself while William draws his rifle, drops to his knee, and fires upon Mitsu with high-density slugs. Several vile slurs are hurled at everyone in German, when the leader barks orders to pull back!

Hey, that was easy... what, what's that noise?

Perhaps it might have been better to scout the interior first, as a tank suddenly rumbled up a ramp to confront the Elites. It moves not on treads, but via some kind of hover technology. This lets it move above the treacherous sludge, turret swivelling to point at everyone while it strafes. Machine gun fire eminates from it, hitting the path and aiming at everyone on it!
Alexis Maaka     "Shitshitshitshitshitshit-"

Maaka doesn't seem to be getting through to them, and she begins to actually open fire upon the Nazis directly. Screw it, they're Nazis, not like they'll be missed right?

She fires upon one of the gunners with high-penetration shots, just before she spies the arrival of DER HOVERPANZER.

This is a problem, one that requires Maaka's attention, and she fires a high-explosive grenade round from her under barrel launcher at the vehicle.
Danse It's good to see that ReGenesis *does* have a practical side to them. While it's, conflictingly, regrettable that it's come to this, in the end they still have to survive this, and what Danse had seen wasn't exactly encouraging. There isn't exactly much to fall back to, as things are now, so as the HOVERTANK emerges and Alexis Maaka calls for cover, the calculated trampling of his own wearable armored vehicle backs in toward her position, while still trying to cover the others as best he can with his sight lines. In between a tank's automatic weapons fire and strangely redirected shots (how the hell is Mitsu doing that), it's not an easy assignment.

The well-maintained exterior of his power armor is becoming deeply pitted in some areas, and one of the pauldrons even detaches. It doesn't look like it was knocked loose, so much as purposefully jettisoned, perhaps to prevent erroneous diagnostics from affecting the rest of the systems, though it certainly didn't help that it looks a bit like misshapen slag at this point. The wearer seems unconcerned about it, at least for the time being. Two can play the electromagnetic spectrum game, after all. Mitsu will have to wait -- but she's going to answer for this. "Weapons hot," he announces, settling into a position adjacent Williams, and inserting a fresh microfusion cell into the chamber of his laser rifle before levelling shots at anything that might seem even vaguely like a weak joint in the vehicle's armor or mechanics.

And dibs on the hover tech if there's anything left worth salvaging.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is still trying to hunt down Mitsu Mirage. Who ever this loon is he needs to be dealt with, one way or another and after certain other events. She's going to try to catch her but it's going to be quite hard as she's firing dagger like claws and she doesnt seem to be trying to sit still. Kotone now is trying to reach her but as she moves with high speed she might be noticed by someone who is paying attention and given Mirage has a partner that is a serious risk indeed.
Rory White Courtesy of her widespread SENESOR NETWORK, Rory spots the signs of movement and a heat signature in the ruins... then LIGHT. FAR TOO MUCH LIGHT!

On Rory's tacnet, the source of the SHOCKER BREAKER and its trajectory's calculated the instant it's fired of... but there's nothing she can do but tighten her face in horror!

    "What?!" BOOM!

Dust and debris flies everywhere... and then there's BULLETS, oh so many bullets. "Retreat! we should retreat and regroup!" A few thought threads engage, cold logic pinning down this as most likely the work of an Elite affiliated with the other community in the region... or a scavenger with more power than sense, or marauder who just likes watching the world burn. In that order of likelihood.

The ARACHNOID DRONES come wheeling out from their own cover in the ruins and aim upwards with gun barrels... and well.

There's no bang. there's no noise. Mitsu will just find herself the subject of an UNGODLY BURNING HEAT AND BLINDING LIGHT that probably won't be enough to overcome her Barrier Jacket damage-wise, but will certainly be a major source of annoyance and frustration.

Rory, meanwhile, being up front here... takes a number of bullets. SPARKS fly from her body as well as a few sploshes of what look like blood. She goes tumbling... but slams a hand to the ground and HURLS herself sideways like a weird ragdoll and tumbles behind some wreckage for cover!
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu smirks slightly, a bit content with how everything's going right now until... hovertank. "Well, I want that." she mutters to herself as a chime comes from Kratzenfaust. <That would be inadvisable, Master.> ... of course, Mitsu's going to go after that! She's off like a rocket towards it... at least, she would if there wasn't BLINDING LIGHT preventing her from moving along with INTENSE HEAT! And there's someone grabbing at her body...

"H.e..hey! I'm not interested in this! I don't want a relationship like this!" she shouts, trying to kick whomever is on her, "Shock Explosion!" As if the lightning shield wasn't enough of a deterrent (which doesn't seem to be the case), she lets the shield EXPLODE into a giant electric ball! Only to hop away a bit, "Ahem... who the hell do you think you are grabbing onto me like some crazed psycho fan?"

With things calming down... light wise... "So, you've come to stop me? I don't think so, I'm supposed to destroy this place... though I think I can punch you too for a bit. The Rabbit of the TSAB here~ and I'm not happy." she looks between the woman before her and the tank. She /really/ wants that tank. She recalls the lightning claws and smirks, getting into a stance... "Wanna dance?"
Eryl Fairfax     The tank swoops, rotating on a dime to come back for another strafing run, when Alexis' grenade explodes under it, damaging some of the hover technology. It wobbles, and loses some altitude. The dip in speed gives Danse chance to open fire. The armour plating is made to deflect kinetic rounds, and thus is unable to hold up to the lasers. Gaps are melted into it's form, and judging by the screams emanating from within, he may have wounded a driver.

It comes to a stop now. But shouts can still be heard from inside the museum, as people run about, trying to put out fires. But they don't attack either.
Alexis Maaka     Now she has a chance. She gives a thumbs up to Danse, before she takes off towards the tank. Thumbing through her inventory, Maaka 'unequips' her coat, and her STALKER suit's helmet covers her face. She grins, her suit worn under the coat the entire time. She uses the terrain to her advantage, charging toward the tank while she loads a smoke round to the launcher.

Firing it to screw with with the tank crew's vision, she takes advantage to head towards Mitsu. The Nazis have been dealt with for the moment, and instead she begins to engage the mage directly.

"Shouldn't have butted in." She growls, her EM rifle firing a couple rounds at Mitsu, this time the rifle's set for more fleshy targets, given the lack of KABOOM in her gunfire.
Danse Looks like Mitsu was not only kept away from her new plaything, but they've succeeded in breaking it. The well timed and placed grenade disrupts the hover systems just enough, and a hover tank that can't hover is basically just a pillbox gun, which means that even the half-mired T-60 power armor is now more mobile than the hoverpanzer. With the shots quickly ablating through the armor plating, it isn't long before it finds purchase with some of the internals, and possibly some of the crew from the sounds suddenly emanating from it. But Danse isn't quite finished yet; he wants to make sure this job is done before they get any fancy ideas. With a quick surge and the rhythmic thrum of servos pumping the legs, he leaves Williams' company and looks to ram the tank solidly, hoping to knock it ajar, and then keep pushing until it is completely turned on its side, if not completely over.

Maybe he just wanted some extra satisfaction for a personal grievance of some sort. Or wanted a better look at the underbelly for reverse engineering. Who is to say, honestly?

With Maaka noting that the locals seem preoccupied trying to keep what's left of their fortress from further collapse, he gives a sound of confirmation. "I'll make sure the Nazis," hey, if they want to play dress up, he's going to call a spade a spade, "Don't get any further ideas to interfere. This is up to the high mobility squad." With this, he does still keep a close watch on the goings on between Mitsu and the others, but, well, some men just want to watch the world burn, or at least a building full of fascist wannabes. It's accompanied by him speaking to them over increase volume in his suit's loudspeaker, "Your corrupt way of life is finished, your options are limited. Evacuate and surrender, or crumble like the regime you emulate."

    DIPLOMACY!
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is getting in close she's manage to get a hold of Mitsu and she's about to employ some implants that can give one hell of a shock. However Mitsu is faster on the draw then Kotone is. She'll wind up getting caught by the shock explosion and she goes flying, her stealth also failing as patches of her become visible she's looking dazed but is slowly trying to get up at this point.

"TSAB...I doubt it."

She's got surge protector to be sure but she's got problems she's taken a lot of electrical damage already and she's going to be have to be careful. Kotone pulls a pistol of some sort out and stares the other woman down.

"I don't think you can keep up."

She opens fire, the shots are spread out a bit . Why? Kotone knows knows this woman has magic so it means she may be able to do something to her shots, so she's going to try and make her have to deal with more things at once, the more things someone has to deal with? The harder it is to cope.
Mitsu Mirage     See, one person is usually good to fight against. Sometimes two. More and it starts to get in trouble, at least, it would be trouble for Mitsu if she wasn't constantly antagonizing a certain night pony. "Well, /former/ TSAB." she replies, though with the shot ringing out, it impacts into the Rabbit Hole and ejects towards Danse! "I tire of you all." she mutters, turning her head a bit... "Aww, my tank. You blew up my tank. Guess I'm gonna blow you up!"

Seeing the sparky looking Kotone, Mitsu smirks and kicks off the ground now that she can see, hopping here and there before launching herself at Kotone, claws forward, "Shockburst!" a ball of blue lightning gathers in her palms as she shoves them forward, trying to shove them right into Kotone, after all, someone with camo or cloaking should have SOMETHING metal on them to shock to death! Not to say that she doesn't know about that shot at her. She turns one hand around and slices in mid air, "Lightning Claw!" and soon, three blades of lightning zip rapidly towards Alexis!
Rory White "TSAB. Time-Space Administration Bureau. One of several highly advanced and widespread policing agencies in the Multiverse. I'm not convinced you're representing them one bit if they would open fire on a diplomatic mission without warning!" Rory's voice echoes over the battlefield, coming from FIVE DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS - each of her drones - likely to confuse Mitsu and not reveal her actual location.

But when Mitsu dives in at Kotone... that's when Rory White, sparks flying from one shoulder and her other side from all the shots she took and scraps of synthflesh missing from her cheeks... dives out of cover, holding a rifle-sized weapon with a large canister hooked to the bottom. It doesn't look like a bullet canister and the barrel doesn't really look like a gun barrel either. It's, in fact, some sort of--

"That's enough from YOU! Criminal!" Bitter and angry, Rory takes the opportunity to unload a CRAPLOAD OF some sort of rubbery, slimy GOO from the canister all over Mitsu. Kotone unfortunately might get splashed, but she's aiming at Mitsu's back.

The goo doesn't do any real harm... but about five seconds after splashing something and contact with air it RAPIDLY hardens and expands, blowing up like a balloon. A few handfuls of the stuff is enough to encase someone's lower body, and Rory's pouring out enough of it to encase half of a car here!

... Thankfully, the stuff's breathable if it manages to cover your mouth, but it doesn't taste good...
Eryl Fairfax     Danse strides towards the burning museum, projecting his voice. William and Lily stride up with him, looking inside... and both glower hard at the Paladin. William drops his rifle and rushes inside, grabbing the tarp from the door and going to use it to extinguish fires. Lily meanwhile, starts going to the wounded and trying to administer first aid, even as she is shoved away. Even if they are aping a fascist regime, it seems ReGenesis won't stand for undue suffering.

Meanwhile, the tank opens up, and another Naxi emerges. A young woman, with a pistol in hand. Climbing out of the tank, she aims carefully at Rory's drones, trying to pick them off! And then, another driver pulls them self out. By the pained look on their face, they must be the wounded one.

But they also have an RPG.

Lining up their shot, they aim at the greatest concentration of people-that being Mitsu and Kotone. And if Rory's anti-riot foam does its job, they're sitting ducks!
Alexis Maaka     Maaka spies an RPG in the corner of her eye, and she realizes within a split second the weapon's aimed at Kotone and Mitsu both. "-NO!" She immediately abandons the engagement, opting to sprint towards Kotone, swooping her off her feet and running like hell, to avoid the RPG's blast. Her side feels a bite from Mitsu's claws, and she growls in pain as the cyborg tries to juggle both Nazis and rogue TSAB operatives, throwing flashbacks behind her to stun both parties.

THis is not going well at all.
Danse True, they weren't making the best impressions. Or at least, Danse wasn't. Ultimately, in his mind, though, even if the circumstances weren't their fault, they made a choice that is difficult to walk away from the moment they decided to open fire. Lily and Wililams don't seem to care much for his opinion, though, as they rush in to try to render assistance, even with the danger of the building's collapse, the enemy fire, active combatants, the latter even dropping a weapon to do so. It's just the tales he'd picked up of the Commonwealth's Minutemen, at least the ones that managed to adhere to their code of ethics -- extending a hand even when common sense would tell you it would simply be bitten. "...nngh, very well," he utters, backing in against the doorway, not impeding the path of any fleeting or attempting aid, but simply to try and block any incoming fire.

And fire does indeed come in. From more of those weird bubbles. With his already compromised armor and mobility and the chaos of the battlefield, there is scarcely time to react. The good news is, being physical projectiles, the T-60 is a bit better equipped to absorb it this time, than the bursts of intense electromagnetic radiation, or even other laser type weapons. The bad news is the chassis is already pretty well dinged up, and it's nearly the final straw, the caution lights on his heads up display warning what the suddenly venting gas illustrates. But he still stands firm, both by his own words...and willing to let Lily and Williams be as foolish as they want, within certain limits. Ones mostly set by how long this building is going to remain standing, and his own armor's weakening infrastructure.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone is having a time of it she knows of the group Mitsu says she's was. She'll have to shake down some union operative friends later to see if they know anything but for now? She has to fight and not get wrecked. She sees Mitsu coming for her but then s the shockburst comes? Kotone pause leaps into the air, then acts like she's on solid ground as she leaps a second time before blurring ahead. It seems she's making use of a gift the Flotilla gave her some time ago. She avoids getting hit but isn't in a good spot to make an attack she also end up with some foam on her back but not enough to entangle her it could be a hell of a lot worse, right?

<<WAtch the fire! Damn it who is this Rabbit anyway?! Any of you got union connections to find out?>?
Mitsu Mirage     There's so much going on against Mitsu, it's actually hard to focus! Its, unfortunately, this lack of focus that snags one of Mitsu's arms instead of her back with that foam as she ducks something, the sound of a RPG. That Flashbang hits and she gets a panicked look, ducking her head down some to avoid being blinded... then the RPG hits and she's sent flying into the air, surrounded by a sphere of lightning. "Ahahaa..." oh hey, she's flying right now.

    Crap.

"YOu guys don't listen when I said FORMER, but hey, I don't expect you guys to understand such. Either way..." she grins... then ends up smashing into the ground, the mage never learned how to fly. "Owie..." she moves to rub her rear end from the hard impact... <Master, get your evidence please.> Nngh, "But it hurts, Kratzenfaust..." she complains, hopping up just slightly to take a picture with a small camera. This should be proof enough." she smirks, sending another spread of ball lightning towards everything, and with another shotgun like sound, "SHOCKER BREAKER!" she let's off ANOTHER large ball of lightning... to the TANK... in hopes to make it explode and cover an escape.
Eryl Fairfax     Danse tanks at the door, allowing Lily and William to help as best they can. They get struck a few times, but they persist until the survivors get the message. Alexis shoots the rocket from the air, causing it to fly off-course, swirling past Mitsu and exploding some distance off.

Mitsu fires off one last electric blast, striking the tank and electrifying it. The pilots all receive nasty burns, until it does finally explode, sending their bodies flying into the muck.
Danse Shrapnel from the tank's explosion is once again weathered by Danse, and he visibly is moving to help support the building at this point to try and buy some more time. Regardless of words, actions by now have probably given these people all the information they need to make their own choices. More to Lily and Williams than the surviving machine-men, by this point, Danse calls in, as well as over the radio, "This place isn't going to last long. Get everyone you can out!" To conserve power and preserve system integrity, the last of the armor plates on the suit's extremeties give way and drop to the ground, thoroughly damaged. It leaves pretty much the suit's torso and helmet intact, though the inner workings and frame of the limbs are now easily seen.

He helps support as long as he can, but once the prime remaining threat is making her getaway, and with reserves slowly going, he'll just have to hope that his, ah, 'employers' managed to get the job done with the time bought. "This has been, without a doubt, the strangest assignment I've been a part of," he says, to no one in particular. He's not even including the mimes in that.
Alexis Maaka     Running like hell helps avoid being caught in the blast, so Maaka braces and covers Kotone while the tank goes up in flames. After that, she shrugs. "No clue, might ask Zephyr." Maaka asides, just in time to narrowly avoid an explosion. That...was nasty.

Maaka will just set down Kotone, before she watches Mitsu run away. "Wonderful. We're gonna look like complete fucking idiots in the report..." She grumbles, shaking her head as she watches Danse cover the rescue of remaining soldiers.

    This is just fantastic.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has just had a bad time of it with Mitsu Mirage. The EX TSAB agent has proven to be crafty and has ruined just about any chance of diplomatic results here. IF she ever finds out about the other tribe being up to this? There may be hell to pay regardless of how the other guys are or not. If anything it proves the other tribe couldn't be trusted. She's been scooped up by Maaka and carried away. Thankfully no jokes about needing to go on a diet.

"She came here I think To make us look like idiots and botch this. We might have been able to patch things up before ... there was a body count."

<<I just want to hide in a hole somewhere....>>

She notes over the link it's been a very, very bad day for everyone here. Still she wants to try and find out just how far down the third Rike these guys have gone somehow...
Mitsu Mirage     Man, bad day for MItsu.... oh well, she's got pictures of thing blowing up and generally making everyone else have a very... very bad day. "Ugh, man, I think I need to get tougher, that was amazing. Too bad I couldn't get that tank, I know the Confeds would have loved something like that!" she hmms a bit, noting the world... "LEt's go, Kratzenfaust, we need some rest..."
Eryl Fairfax     The museum will stand. The fire damaged the entrance and the interior, but the rest of the structure has stood this long, it can take it. When time comes to offer relief, everyone can see how these Nazis lived.

Much of the interior is paying as much homage to Nazi Germany as they can muster from scrap. But there is actually a lot that seems like it was there before. But nothing authentic. Props of weapons at that time, costume uniforms...

And a vast archive of Nazi propaganda films.

Interviews with any survivors would reveal no particular hate for Jews, blacks, homosexuals, Roma, or any of those the Nazis persecuted. They know that Nazis had enemies, but believed they were cleanly dealt with. It becomes clear that they know not the true history of WWII, but only what the propaganda could have told them, a sanitized, heavily biased version that painted the Nazis in a good light.

For this was an anthropology museum. And the final exhibit was on WWII Nazi Germany filmmaking.

And then? When Mitsu goes and collects her reward? She only finds an empty theatre, with a note pinned to the curtain.

"Hi doll! Thanks for taking the offer, but the thing is... we can't really pay you. So I guess we'll just lift our roots and move on elsewhere! Don't try and find us, okay? Beautiful, thanks babe."

    No one wins today.
