Yari Takane A certain ninja-lizard has plenty of innate curiousity, a fact that's gotten her in trouble more than once. And today, though she usually leans on Sanary or Medusa for medical care she's requested Adele's presence!

It's been a good month or so since she'd had an arm sewed back on thanks to Medusa and losing her eye, so here she is dressed in a light kimono to make examination easier. The room she waits in is typical medical: white tile, sterilization everywhere, and the occasional undead servant or intern running about. Kicking off her geta, the young ensign waits and wiggles toes and tail as she does so. There's already a copy of 'Katanas and Kunai' in her hands from the magazine rack.
Adele Rozenbach "Yari Takane." Adele's voice calls out from her examination room, indicating the time to enter is now. The undead figure doesn't come out to greet her patient, instead waiting for the patient to come in. As far as examination rooms go, it's nothing special.

What is special is the nurse that's helping Adele out. A short feminine figure, with only unmarked skin where her mouth should be, and on both of her inner arms, a lot of tight skin pockets exist, each of which housing some surgical instrument or another. Adele is sitting behind a desk, and when Yari comes in, looks up, "So how can I help you, Ensign?"
Yari Takane The magazine's back to the rack, and she's on her feet in an instant. She walks in, pauses, and snaps a salute to the undead princess out of pure habit. Rather than sit down, she stands at attention with her hands behind her back. Despite her clothing, Yari all but bleeds 'career military'.

"Ensign Takane, reporting, Ma'am!" She adds rather unnecessarily. A single eye peers to the nurse in question. The corners of her lips frown for just a moment, before she turns her gaze to the far more pleasing Adele. One might notice how she's very much trying to avoid looking at that freakish nurse.

Her tail pushes the door closed. "I have orders for regular checkups on my injuries, ma'am. ...Do you have a particular title you like to be called?" After a small pause, she hops up to the examination table. Taking off her eyepatch first, she reveals a mass of scarr tissue not /too/ long healed where her eye should be. From the looks of things, she got hit by some kind of energy or heat blast.

"My eye in particular, as well as the state of the arm that was...gifted...to me." She indicates her natural arm.
Adele Rozenbach "I have no particular title I wish to be called, but if you wish to follow proper protocol it'd be Princess or Your Serene Highness. Don't worry too much about it." She looks over at Yari as she lays down, starting with the eye. Her hands reach out, and then there's what's most likely an extremely unsettling feeling as Adele starts to push away the bone tissue that surrounds Yari's damaged eye, leaving gaps of air between the eyeball and the skull.

Then, she takes out the eye, gently extending the nerves so as to not damage them, and holds it in her hand. She makes no secret of what she's doing, and thus Yari is likely able to see her own eye in Adele's hand. "Hmmm."
Yari Takane "Princess it is then." Responds the ninja with a firm nod. Yari takes a deep breath as that hand reaches. Surely Adele is just going to examine it normally, right?

That idea gets dashed utterly as bone and tissue move, nerves are extended, and then Adele has that eye in her hand.

Yari is rendered rightfully speechless. She lays there, quivering in shock and horror. Silence reigns for quite some time. She barely wants to risk moving.

Which gives Adele plenty of time to examine that delicate thing. There's burn marks even on the eye itself, deep into the thing. Really, it's been rendered all but useless.

Yari finally comments. In a tiny, terrified little hissing scream.
Adele Rozenbach Adele takes her time, fingers gently running over the side of that damaged eye, gentle touches at the burned tissue. The terrified little scream is entirely ignored. "Hmmm. It would be easier to grow you a new eye than to repair this one~" She comments casually, before reducing the nerve tissue to normal lengths, putting the eye back in, and closing the socket around it back to normal.

Then, she takes a look at the arm. Unlike the eye, she doesn't do anything unusual to it. Yet. she's just touching the tissue, looking at it, and exploring what may be wrong with it. "Scalpel." She tells her nurse, who removes one such medical knive from one of the pockets in her arm, and hands it out to Adele, who takes hold of it.
Yari Takane When that eye finally gets returned, and that tissue closes up? Yari lets out a cry of utter relief. Slowly, she stares at the innocent-faced undead. Her heart's hammering and her tail's curled up around her leg.

"I...Is that how you always do your work?" She's trying to be polite, but there's this tone of a dire need to run away. She gulps, and swallows it down. Being Adele's patient is not good for the heart!

Still, she undoes the sleeve of her kimono. The arm looks normal at first glance, but some probing will show healed stitch marks from the shoulder down covered up by skin samples to hide them. It's definitely a well preserved arm, and from examining bone, one could tell it's from a different person. A human, in fact, though very close to Yari in stature and build.

Everything's held up very well, though there's already heavy bruising within the arm that could use work. It seems Yari really does go hard on herself.

That scalpel has Yari's eye going wide. "Please...be...careful?" She finally eek's out.
Adele Rozenbach "It's honestly the least of the uses of my talents." Adele shrugs, like she thinks it's nothing out of the ordinary. She takes a better look at that arm, and then uses that scalpel to make tiny little cuts in the bruised tissue, letting some blood seep out to relieve the pressure, then running her hands over the skin to make the cuts disappear. End result: minor blood loss, no more bruising.

She also tsks slightly at the stitch marks on the place where the arm connects to the body, "Stitch marks, really? Such a sloppy job. If you want, I can make the transition a fair bit more natural looking." She offers, "I can make the arm look more like it belongs on your frame as well, if you want~"
Yari Takane "Remind me to not eat before visiting your home, then, Princess." She tries for the deadpan. She just sounds very, very disturbed. But the cuts are something she can deal with. A little breath, and then out. The pressure feels much better as a little bleeding helps. They should heal a little better now.

Yari actually frowns for a moment. "I have no complaints about the work." Indeed, it takes a special touch like Adele's to even notice the incongruity. Still...

"Accelerating the full attachment would be very useful, however." She finally accepts. With a very, very quiet hiss of nervousness. What /exactly/ will she do!?
Adele Rozenbach "If that's what you want." Adele sounds a little bit dejected, like it's a rejection of her art form and she takes that as a mild rejection of herself. Rather than focus on that, she gets back to work on the arm, handing the scalpel back to her nurse, and then gliding her hands over the attachment.

It's hard to see what she's doing, but it's easy to feel. The skin and flesh soften under her hands, and she rearranges it like a sculptor might rearrange clay. There's no need for stitches when skin blends into skin naturally, with nary an indication it wasn't always this way. Below the skin, similar is happening at Adele's touch, flesh and bone adapting to properly align.

"That's a start, it will take a couple more sessions to fully re-align this. If I do too much of this at once I'd have to seal your mouth shut first, and I'd rather not do that." Adele mentions, taking a step back. "Was there anything else?"
Yari Takane Adele gets a look that for once is not terror, but rather faint guilt. Okay, maybe Yari was being a little mean there. But she doesn't have a chance to apologize. No, Adele starts her work.

Attached flesh melds together, her veins feel far more /hers/ than a stolen thing. Those little aches in the shoulder intensify, then get weaker. Finally, when it's done, she looks down. Her eye goes a bit wide as she looks over.

She flexes the arm, and as the horror fades, she tries a few punches at the air. "...Princess. I'm impressed. You're very skilled at what you do." 'Seal your mouth'. Shudder. A single finger is raised.

"Though if I could raise one point of contention: you may want to work on your bedside manner. Most living people are fairly 'squeemish' about things like that. You may want to work with Miss Gorgon and Sanary, they're both very comforting." Nod nod. Yari maaay have a slight bit of misinformation about one of these two people.

She /did/ insult the poor woman, even if inadvertantly. Suddenly, she's smiling. "I know. I'll invite you out to the pleasure palace with Sanary some time. We'll call it a 'morale boosting exercise'. There's this wonderful bar that, even for someone like you, we can probably find something delicious. How does that sound?" She smiles, trying to put on a friendly face. But then, business. "No, I think that will be all, ma'am. Unless you'd like to appraise me of any needs or operations you have planned."
Adele Rozenbach "I'm not getting paid to put my patients at ease." Adele complains with mild annoyance, going over to the sink to wash her hands, "But I'll bring it up with them, see what they think." She doesn't sound too worried about it, clearly she thinks results are substantially more important than patient comfort.

"I'll take you up on that offer of visiting the pleasure palace, however. It sounds like an interesting place, and I would love to learn to know my fellows better." She smiles, and takes out a calendar, "Shall I mark you down for another appointment in two weeks?"
Yari Takane Brows scrunch, and two fingers touch them. Sigh. "As you'd have it, Princess." Mental note: checkups with the undead are scary.

Yari does perk up, and she stands. There's a swift salute, and she suddenly looks much happier. "I'll be looking forward to it. Morale is important for results! We should always be ready to support one another in any way we can." Nod nod nod!

Gulp. "T...two weeks it is. I'll be..." Ready to be terrorized? "Prepared, ma'am. Until then, Princess, thank you very much." A deep bow, and then she's out the door with a spring to her step and tail between her legs.
