Amalthea     Amalthea sounded like she was serious when she said for Kazusa to see her in her office, and no sooner than she had, the unicorn also sent a string of coordinates for an artificial warpgate. Specifically one that leads into the Fire Forged Manse in the desert mountains of the province of Luanjian, in Nerites.
Funny thing that though, she gave the wrong gate coordinates. Instead of the doorway, the gate opens into the skylight crater and... Freefall.
Thankfully the couch is kept directly beneath the skylight for this very purpose.
However, waiting for Kazusa is... A shoggoth and a dog.
Dunsany burbles a chipper "Tekeli-li!" and Iyoshi "Wurf"s lowly at the guest, before the two turn, apparently to guide Kazusa deeper into the depths of the volcano lair and to Amalthea's office.
It's actually seriously in the depths of the Manse, maybe several hundred feet below the earth, even. Though it's in a cool section of the volcano at least, the doors are open.
Kazusa Ujikane     It's not the first time Kazusa's been here. She's not one to keep strict track of coordinates, often trusting in GPS or the like to get her there, but she at least remembers the Manse!

She doesn't remember there being a gate into the skylight crater.

    "Wuah- WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

    FWUMP.

It probably takes a few seconds for Kazusa to be up on her feet and walking. She might be using Iyoshi to lean on until her legs are steady again.

But she does, eventually, and follows the rather strange duo deep down into the volcano. She finds herself quite thankful it's one of the cooler areas - not just on general principle, but because she comes from Japan, where the summer weather can best be described as 'kill me now' in most cases. And then there's an open door, and she's peeking in. "Aah... h-hello? Amalthea...?"
Amalthea     Yeah the whole skylight gate is kind of for quick jump pack deployments. Not really meant to be a normal way INTO the house unless equipped with a jetpack. Oops.
Strange though the duo may be, it says a lot about Amalthea's family life.
    It makes no sense.
The open door however... Doesn't look like much of an office space.
The library within is expansive; the kind of place someone could easily get lost in, if not careful, though there is a desk set up front row center, not far from the door. This clearly must be Amalthea's office. It has to be, considering the computer monitor on the desk, Fulldive headset (modified), and sword sharpening kit left haphazardly on the desk. But also there's a pretty large TV hooked to the wall over the door as well, in perfect view of the desk.
For all the ancient and musty tomes present though, most of them collect a bit of dust. There is a smaller section, close by the desk and in easy reach of Amalthea's TRUE library. Rows of storybooks, legends, fables, and fairy tales, the titles easy to see, and no doubt Kazusa may have even read a good chunk of them as a child.
"Come in."
Amalthea is right in front of this very shelf, with her nose buried in a book of Aesop's Fables, which she slaps shut, and sets aside for the sake of sitting in her desk, motioning for the chair opposite. "I've been putting this off a while, but I think you and I must talk."
Kazusa Ujikane     Oh you bet Kazusa's eyes are sparkling once she realize what she's seeing. Books. So many books. And some effing sweet computer stuff, and a kickass big TV that must be amazing for gaming on, and...

Mumble. "I want an office like this." Pout.

But she's been called over, and Amalthea's voice prompts the nerdgirl to quickly skitter her way over to Amalthea, coming to a stop with her hands folded in front of herself. Normally outgoing and cheerful, being called in like this has her surprisingly subdued and pensive. "I... I haven't done anything bad, have I? I've been trying to use the cards for good stuff, for helping and protecting people..."
Amalthea     This is clearly where Amalthea gets most of her work done. A half-done report has been left open on the computer screen and everything. Standard paperwork though, nothing sensitive. Nevertheless, the unicorn settles into her seat, lightly brushing some glitter off of the desk and off of the tie-dye t-shirt worn for in-house relaxation. Kazusa speaks. Amalthea holds a hand up. First and foremost she motions for the girl to sit. "Firstly." She begins. "How do you take your tea?"
It is a very important question, before she truly gets into the swing of why she called the girl here. "I know just what you've been using your cards for." She says.
"When we first met, you were powerless but brave. ... Maybe even a little field-stupid, getting in the way of a gun toting orc as you did, but valor and good judgement never quite went hand in hand. It was that selfless act of putting yourself in harm's way for one you cherished that made you catch my eye. We have not spoken much since, but I have kept my eye on you since that day."
Quite a feat considering she has one eye.
Kazusa Ujikane     Kazusa sits immediately. Fwump.

Then she blinks, vaguely surprised, before replying, "Aah, with sugar! It's kind of bad of me, I know, but I like it sweet." Having given this important information, she goes quiet, and listens. There's little she can think to say. At least in part because this seems to be going somewhere specific. So the girl just gives a quiet nod, and folds her hands in her lap.
Amalthea     With sugar, then. Timing would just so have it that the shoggoth burbles back in, the yellow gelatinous THING from beyond blathering at Kazusa before it sets a tray down, with two cups and a steaming teapot. Thankfully, it is Amalthea who pours the tea, and not Dunsany with its wobbly looking tendrils.
She passes the sugar over- after loading her own cup with... A lot.
She sips slowly, and lets Kazusa enjoy a bit, as well before she chooses to continue.
"In my life I've granted many wishes. Some of them wise, some of them foolish and frivolous. With age I grew to feel that anyone asking for one was looking to abuse it and myself by proxy for their desires. I grew cold, callous, and distrustful. I stopped granting wishes altogether for a very long time. And I still do not." Murmured between sips as that lone eye focuses on the girl. "Since the day you gained you newfound power, there hasn't been a single incident in which if there was a report that hads your name on it even tangentially, I took the time to study it almost religiously. Your home. Wyveria. Lordran. ... Ar Ciel." She begins to list the varied worlds, gaze lingering pointedly upon the girl at the last one. "Now... I will get to my point directly, but first and before I do, do you have anything to say for your actions?"
Kazusa Ujikane     QUietly, Kazusa sips her tea. It's probably almost as loaded as Amalthea's. Sip.

She sips, and she listens, only to start blushing quietly. Such a rare thing, and she managed to earn it without even asking... and, more importantly, she's had every incident she's been in scrutinized. The girl considers quietly, thinking about all she's seen and endured, and finally mumbles...

"...I can't think of any of it I regret. Maybe I messed up here or there, and that stuff I do, but... I don't regret going out to help anyone. Knowing how many people I helped save... it's worth it."
Amalthea     "You don't regret it, then?" Amalthea repeats, as though intending to be as absolutely certain beyond the shadow of a doubt. She nods, quietly, to herself at this, and sits back. Way back. That chair can seriously recline, and it looks like this office may double as a crash zone as well as some form of incredible unicorn man-cave.
"Good." She murmurs, looking up towards the ceiling for a long time. When she does sit up, her hands fold together on the desk, fingers buzzing softly as they lace together, and she locks eye contact.
"I have learned that, over time, there were many, many, wishes I regretted granting. Kazusa Ujikane, I said that in giving you the power you have that I would be doing you a great evil. I believed I would doom you to a life of service, a life of laying yourself down for the sake of others. I was wrong. You have flourished, and taken the gift you were given and have done many good things with it."
For a moment. For just a moment, as she speaks, Amalthea looks so incredibly old. But it is gone in the next instant as she continues. "Kazusa, I find you worthy of the gift you have, and give you my blessing in full." This, is where she stops for a moment, letting it sink in as she helps herself to a long, slow sipt of her tea.
    "So keep it up, kid."
Kazusa Ujikane     Well, if Kazusa was blushing before, she's red as a beet now.

"I-I, aheh, w-well... I-I mean, it's... it's been scary, and all. And it's hurt a lot. And I admit, I kinda... when someone's in trouble I start feeling like I /have/ to do something, even if I can't use a card..." She rubs the back of her head. "...but getting to save people is fun. And it's led to a lot of really cool adventures. And I met Saber, who's been one of the best friends I've ever had, and she's also the main character of my favorite fairy tale! And then I've also gotten to be other people for a while, and think like they do, and see what it's like to see life from other angles..." Despite the blush, she's started to grin a little. "...And maybe hopefully they get to see what it's like to look at themselves from outside, too. That'd be kinda cool."
Amalthea     Silver lips tug into a wry grin. "That is how someone with a good heart should feel when they see another in need, yes." Amalthea says. Before mention of Kazusa's Servant has her peering back at the row of fairy tales. "Oh believe me, it was an... Interesting experience, seeing 'myself' in action." She muses. "What was it 'I' said that day? 'Coast Guard. This is a snap inspection for illegal jerkass smuggling'."
Ah. That's a definite tease. "I'm sure it's been as... enlightening, for others. It just gladdens me to see your heart in the right place."
Kazusa Ujikane     "...aheheh..." It's an embarrassed little chuckle from Kazusa. "...I did say that, didn't I..."
