Owner Pose
Shigure     HIKARI SEAPORT, 14:24 LOCAL TIME.

"Sendai-class Light Cruiser, Naka. Ayanami-class Destroyer, Akebono. Report to launch bay. Repeat. Naka and Akebono to launch bay." comes a familiar, but strange voice on the base-wide intercom.

Waiting within the launch bay is the owner of that voice, the Shiratsuyu-class Destroyer Yuudachi. She's not got her rigging on just yet, but she's clearly got her game face on.

Gone is the happy-go-lucky, ditzy little blonde. Here stands the Nightmare of Solomon, her face hard, the red irises of her eyes glowing in the dim light of the deployment bay.
Graf Zeppelin      It was by sheer dumb luck that Naka happened to be on base at this time. Or rather, sheer bad luck. Usually, the light cruiser was off base, chasing her dreams of stardom and spreading joy and happiness through music... Which was seriously putting a huge dent into her actual duties as a Fleet Daughter. It wasn't inaccurate to say that she was almost never at Hikari these days.

So, when that voice came up through the base-wide intercom, both her, and someone else entirely unrelated to Naka looked up from what they were doing. What was, Naka looked up from her packing, and Akebono looked up from her laptop.

     "Huh?"

They both sounded at the exact same time, and both in perfect sync. Naka looks at Akebono, Akebono looks at Naka. The Destroyer frowns deeply. "Was that Yuudachi?" She asked the other, still frowning quite a bit.

Naka's brows furrow in confusion and she nods. "Yeah, that was Yuu-chan, but..." She brought a finger to her cheek in a thoughtful manner, standing up from her packing things into a mall suitcase. "I don't remember scheduling anything with her... Do you?"

Akebono shrugged flippantly. "Like hell I'd wanna do anything with that little- tch." She shakes her head. ".....Fucking hell, let's go." She grumbled, sliding out of her chair. "This better not be some bullshit, I was busy."

Naka sighs and follows along, not having much else to do. "Oh well. I'll give Producer a call and let him know I might be a liiiiiitle bit late." She says, taking out a cell phone and scrolling through her contacts as she followed after Akebono. And the two headed off to the launch bay.

Upon arriving, Akebono sees Yuudachi first and arches a brow. "So it was /you/. She grumbles, crossing her arms. "The hell do you want, calling us out here for?" And why with Naka? The Light Cruiser stepped in after Akebono and spied Yuudachi next, blinking a few at her change of demeanor.

"Hi Yuu-chan! What's up?" She grins, totally not reading the mood.
Shigure     Yuudachi looks at Akebono. "Get your equipment." she says without explaining. Naka earns her own look. "Get yours too. We're going out on an expedition." she folds her arms over her chest. "This is not negotiable. I have authorization from the Admiral."
Graf Zeppelin      "......"

     "......"

It takes a few seconds for Yuudachi's words to process for the two, but when they do...

"Huh!? What the hell!?" Akebono shouts, first in incredulity, and then anger. "That's fucking bullshit! I'm not scheduled to go out until tomorrow!" She goes on, not budging an inch at the blonde's orders. Nope. Not moving at all. "Today's my off day, and I don't hear any alarms blaring!"

"Ehhhhhhhhh!?" Naka's reaction is...similar. Minus the anger. "B-But I've got an appointment in Urbania that I REALLY can't miss!" She says, holding her hands up defensively. A shaky smile forms as she makes a suggestion. "W-Why don't you ask big sis? Or maybe other big sis? They'll cover for me!"

     Oh boy.
Shigure     Yuudachi cracks her knuckles, and levels those burning red eyes on both Akebono and Naka. "Get your equipment. Now. I will not say it again." This is not the happy ditz that was running into walls in the training bay. "You both need discipline, and I aim to teach it to you. Discipline and team spirit. We three are going out into Abyssal waters, and will only have each other to rely upon to survive."
Graf Zeppelin      Akebono raises a fist and moves to step forward. "You know what? How about I-" A hand comes to her shoulder and stops her. She pauses and looks back at Naka, who's shaking her head. "....-" She looks back at Yuudachi, back to Naka. And finally, she shoves the hand on her shoulder off and stomps off to the equipment deck. "God DAMN it!"

Naka sighs and hangs her head, then produces a cell phone and dials a number. "Producer? Right. I know, there's been a...situation. I've got to do my other job today. I'm reeeeeaaaaally sorry! Can you move my schedule up a day or two? Thanks! I'll make up for it, I promise!"

     Click.

Naka stalks over to the equipment deck then. It's not too long before both girls are equipped and ready to go. Akebono looks ready to punch someone, probably Yuudachi, but she holds back and huffs. Naka stands next to her, finishing checking herself before regarding the blonde girl ordering them around. "Okay, we're ready!" Pause. "...Are we really going into Abyssal waters?"
Shigure     Yuudachi acquires her own equipment, then steps over to the launch deck itself. "That's the plan." she then gains back just a smidge of that playfulness. "Lets start a most wonderful party!" she says, before leaping onto the launch pad, then being launched down and out into the open ocean. "Form up, line ahead. Akebono in front, Naka behind." she orders once the group is out in the water. "Set bearing, we're heading north."
Graf Zeppelin      Akebono and Naka follow, launching after, and then forming up beside Yuudachi as she gave directions. Akebono, of course looked none too pleased at this nonsense. But they were already launched. Which meant it wasn't time to argue. She grumbled to herself and picked up speed, veering northward and taking point in the formation.

"Okaaaaaaay..." Naka sounded rather apprehensive, but she followed directions and slowed down till she was bringing up the rear of the formation. Being the not angry one of the two, she asks questions while the group glides along the water's surface.

"Do we have a specific plan? Is there an Abyssal outpost we're targeting? What?" Pertinent questions at this time. At least she wasn't a total space cadet, even if getting her out onto the water was a trial in itself.
Shigure     "We have had reports of Abyssal forces attacking neutral trade ships. We are going to investigate, and clear out any and all Abyssal threats we find." replies Yuudachi. No point in obfuscating things. "Akebono, you will be taking tactical command. Our targets and formation belong to you. Our lives are in your hands." Then to Naka. "We will need your heavier firepower, there are only three of us, so we must all work together."
Graf Zeppelin      Akobono groans. "Not this shit again..." Nagato already did this once. It worked out okay, but seriously? Putting her command? That's like... like.... ugh. "...Fine whatever." She takes a deep breath, and then sighs. Stay calm. Don't blow up. Lives are in your hands. Again...

It'd be nice if they had a carrier right about now.

Naka is, of course, a fair bit surprised by this. She wasn't there for Akebono's last command expedition. Because she was off singing or something. Again. As usual. "Ehhhhh? Really?" Pause. "...Well, congrats, Ake-chan! Good luck! And leave the back to me!" She grinned and gave the purple haired girl a thumbs up. Then she turned her attention to Yuudachi. "Attacking trade ships..." She sighs. "...We both need supplies, but resorting to terrorism is just wrong!"

So she says as the three sail across the ocean waters. Akebono is silent now, ignoring Naka's obnoxiou congratulations as her eyes swept across the horizon, looking for anything in particular...
