Argast Wyrdseeker     Along the edges of the Volatile wasteland, one could feel energies that should not be. Foul things, akin to chaos and the warp itself. Ever shifting and changing, the stage was perfectly set. A portal tore itself open, and allowed a group through. They were warriors, perhaps more akin to barbarians complete with furs and harnesses for armor. Though some were more...deranged then others. Scar marks along their bodies, some sporting sores, and others inhumanly attractive. At their head though was clearly the leader. Clad in black armor with a long red cloak, and weilding a gnarled, twisted staff with a chaos star figurine, the figure looked out and laughed. "Ahh.....Chaos flows so easily here...Were you only able to control it, Lord Tzeench...it would be so glorious."
Sanary Rondel The Volatile Wasteland is a place that definitely deserves its name. It's very... Ass. Sanary's already shifting around uncomfortably as she approaches the edge of the area, peering into the weirdly vibrant and somehow featureless abyss. The axe-wielding healer seems content to stay on the outside looking in at the slightly-less-outside, pacing around to try and find the source of the disturbance. She stops when the portal appears with the mass of warriors coming through it, peering at them cautiously while holding a hand up in something resembling a slow wave.

It's a greeting! Sanary's not speaking just yet, however, since she's trying not to make her presence too apparent. Instead, she's looking around to see if any other responders have made their way over first. It'll be easier to see if this new person is friend or foe based on that.
Kyra Hyral Something Felt extremely wrong to Kyra and judging by the chatter she heard on the Union channels, she wasn't the only person. Several Scan spells later and through following the other senses of those responding, Kyra has approached the Volatile Wasteland with caution, her long-barreled Galandian hunting rifle already drawn and loaded with explosive mixture rounds.

The closer she got, the more unsettled she felt by the strange Magic Particles she was feeling. The feeling was so pure and so foul it inevitably reminded her of the younger years in which her parents ardently strove to put the fear of Chaos within her.

This contrasts stranegly to the appearance of the warriors on those planes-they looked like Barbarians to her, which merely screamed 'Shivans' (last inter-plate war not withstanding) and not 'followers of Chaos' and yet...that lead guy...

"Hey!" The white and red-clad Kyra calls out, "Who're you?"
Kirika     The roar of a dirt bike, acquired from the Union garage, is heard over the air as Kirika puts pedal to the metal. She's used to rough terrain, but this is something else. Her nose is full of sulfur, and she tries to fight through the stench as she drives towards the source of this event.

As she stops just short of making her presence known, the kitsune stops the bike as she watches the Chaos warriors exit out, their leader spotted out of the crowd very easily. Kirika's got a knack for picking out the biggest, scariest, most sorcerory looking dude out of crowds after all.

She also sniffs, trying to get a scent of who she thinks is familiar, and also notices Kyra's arrival as well.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has nothing in the way of magic save a ring to help protect her from magical effect, which was a gidt over the holidays tht's all she got but yet there was something odd and she was also aware some old comrades here such as Kyra. She'd deployed several cheap drones as she didn't expect to get them back, from her own motorcyle the knight which she almost seems fused into as she pulls up at this strange happening.Normally she'd not even consider going here but she'd had a bad feeling and well she wasn't about to let people she knows wandering intot his alone.
Yuna Kagurazaka The first thing Yuna thinks, when she sets foot in the Volatile Wastelands, is 'how did Elner even detect anything from HERE?!' She doesn't put voice to the question, though - the environment is hostile enough that while her Light Suit isn't actively resisting damage, the protective field generated by her armored battlesuit feels like a faint charge of static electricity crawling along her skin.

Elner is right next to Yuna as they emerge from the warpgate, the robo-faerie's tiny form floating next to the battlesuited blonde; behind the two of them are three more figures, about Yuna's height, each of the three fully armored in white and one other color (green, purple, or reddish-orange respectively). And each of those three, like Elner, has little in terms of a face besides two brightly glowing optics above a relatively featureless 'bowl' that might have been a breather mask, were the figures organic life-forms.

By the time the full Matrix of Light has emerged - and the warpgate itself destabilizes and folds out of existence behind them - Yuna has spotted the new portal. *Now* she has a sense of just what Elner was picking up on, but she hurries forwards, digging her heels in against the passing sandstorm. "Ghh ... I don't know where you're from," she calls out to Argast's band, "but even for Chaos-followers, this is a really dangerous place!" The sandstorm ebbs right as she finishes saying that, replaced by what feels (to Yuna) like a pleasant spring day, and even the ground beneath her is briefly covered in grass and flowers. And something that makes her right boot abruptly flare with energy, as if the Light Suit were actively repelling some kind of attack; that leaves Yuna gritting her teeth and picking up her pace. Hopefully there's an 'eye' to the storm closer to that portal ... she's relieved to see some familiar faces, in any case. Heck, even Sanary is a welcome sight, despite recent strain between them.
Argast Wyrdseeker     The warriors look towards Sanary and consider for a moment. The classic barbarians spin their axes in their hands, debating on a charge. Kyra's call attracts those with the sores. They are curious and shift around, laughing heartily at some unspoken joke. While the attractive one's simply sigh and complain about how ugly they all seemed. Argast, however, tilted his head at the arrivals. "Can you feel it too?" He asks. He takes a step forward, staff clanging against the ground. To him, the area felt like his home in Norsca, and also affected his magics. He extended his hand and pointed right at the gathering. "Can you FEEL the raw winds of magic?" He asks again, stepping closer. He turns his hand and gathers up magical energy, forming it into a fireball. "This will be the place, I am sure. Where Lord Tzeench will draw his power from, and grant me control to finally destroy the Empire. The question is..." He says, turning his helmet at the gathering. "Are with the lord of change, or against him?"
Kirika     Kirika stands proud and tall, removing her helmet to reveal a fierce, crimson gaze and black hair. Despite her foxy ears and tail, she looks the part of a fearsome warrior woman as she glares towards Argast. "He who calls himself an ally to such a force as Chaos shall always be my enemy, villain!" She calls the sorcerer out directly, glaring at him with a look that just says 'I will bury you'.

Without wasting time, she draws Kinugiri, the holy sword glowing with an angry blaze as Kirika revs her dirt bike, and she brings herself down the hill, charging towards Argast's forces without a second thought.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yep. It's as bad as Yuna was afraid of. And Valentha's words on the Union tactical band confirm part of how bad it is - the very world around them is likely to be everyone's enemy ... although Yuna has a sinking suspicion that somehow, the army and its mage leader will find SOME way to make the inherent chaos of the Wastelands work in their favor.

And when she tries to warn Argast to turn around and leave, he just ignores the words of her plea in favor of declaring his readiness to try and break her spirit and her convictions. There really isn't any avoiding a fight here, she thinks, is there ... "Elner, recommendations?"

The robo-faerie doesn't reply - mostly because it's not *there* right now. Neither are Jiina nor Erina - and as Yuna looks over her shoulder at Elner's silence, she can only hope that they're at least together, wherever they are. "Crap," Yuna squeaks. "No help for it - Marina, let's go!"

"May the Queen of Light strengthen us!" the reddish-orange and white figure replies, before going translucent and 'phasing' forward, her shape overlapping with Yuna's ... and then vanishing, replaced by a green-tinted 'wireframe' the appears around Yuna's battlesuited figure.

A passing blizzard obscures the transformation itself, but a few seconds later, Yuna comes bounding out of the blowing snow, 'jumping' across the terrain in an armor that's horribly unsuitable for land-based combat. The armor of her Marine Form is styled like a mermaid, and even though there's no water to swim through, she *can* balance or hop on the tail to fight on land. The Matrix Divider appears in Yuna's hands, and she brings the weapon up, gripping it like a rifle as she starts firing blasts of holy/light-laced energy at Argast's forces. The bolts which fly straight and hit their targets just impact like concussive force - held back just shy of being lethal; they'll hit and they'll hurt, but Yuna does not want to start making corpses. Beating the will to fight out of them seems to be her main intention.

On the other hand, if any of those blasts happen to fly through a band of passing WTF-ness, who knows what might come out the other side ... if they don't get turned around?
Kyra Hyral "Oh yeah, I feel it alright. What the hell are you doing?" Kyra says, lifting her rifle up as the barbarians appear to become agitated and antsy (and aggreived by ugliness). "What are you-"

Kyra stops talking for a moment and appears to listen to something, her already extremely-pale face somehow growing to be even paler, if that was even possible. "Chaos..?" that one word was all that Yuna needed to have said. Come to think of it, these guys did remind her a little of that one Noise Marine guy-though that was irrelevant. These men are followers of Chaos and the lead guy is summoning a fireball.

Naturally her own response to this is to summon up her own white magic, which she starts to process, until thte magic particles actually move through her. Everyone here will see it-they spiral out of control and Kyra groans, doubling forward as she slaps her hands against the ground. The earth shakes. "D..damn it! Get back, it's not working like it's supposed to...!" she swears and sweats as she struggles against it, but the magic particles flow into the ground. All around the immediate vicinity-that is, surrounding both the responders and the Barbarians, the ground splits and firey bits of rock ooze and jut forth. These bits of lava and obsidian swell and grow, taking on humanoid shapes. Snarling faces with gaping, orange-red mouths swell from bulbous heads. Hulking arms stich themselves together with flesh of rock and sinew of lava.

These creatures turn on /everyone/ without warning and it becomes exceptionally clear that Kyra has no control over any of them.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pulls her bike to a halt now and is moving to get off her bike as she looks at teh strane warriors however she's nto sure what ot think about them. They seem amused atthem and she doesn't like this at all. She doesn't get off hert bike and she looks at the man for a moment but the mention of Tzeench fills her with dread.

"Did you say... the name I thought you did?"

She looks at the man but doesn't go for her weapon /yst/ also due to Kyra's magic just going out of control and well stuff is happening she's forced to pull back from the thing.

"What...the hell?!"
E she's going for her weapon but it's aimed at the things that are coming /at everyone/
Sanary Rondel Just as expected. Several Union, some Syndicate, all familiar faces in some way or another. A blessing and a curse, since on one hand, Sanary could try and win a few brownie points by at least helping out with some of the threats that have popped up through Kyra's Wild Magic without necessarily interfering with the new faces that seem intent to destroy some sort of... Empire?

That might be worth looking into. Maybe. Especially with Argast's apparent opposition to the Union's presence. The healer looks over at Kirika and Kotone after a moment, eventually nodding in agreement with the latter as she aims her gunaxe at the lava beings.

"We can sort out what's what later. Let's take those out and get out of here before exchanging names, huh?" As she focuses energy into the weapon, however, she inadvertently fires off a heat laser at the lava creatures. It explodes on the way there, but it doesn't seem to stop, either. There's just a constant line of explosions heading towards those creatures!

This place isn't playing nice with her eye, apparently.
Reimu Hakurei      At the very edges of the chaotic space, a small opening begins to form. As the portal is opened up, it's easy to see that the portal is dark violet and hundreds of red, blinking eyes can be seen inside the portal. As it spreads out, a young girl emerges through the portal. She remains silent as she appears to be floating under her own power. The portal closes behind her and four red and white orbs appear next to her floating body. From there, she flies onward through the chaotic skies. As she continues to fly, she can't help but comment due to the unsettling nature of the environment,

"It figures that someone would decide to make to show up here. I better go deal with whatever threat showed up this time so that we can just get out of here immediately. I wonder where."

From the corner of her eye, she can easily notice the large army along with everyone else. She immediately stares at the apparent leader of the army and the four orbs shift their position directly in front of her,

"Just one decent barrage and this should."

She finally notices the other creatures when her purification rod begins to glow red.

     "Huh? What in the-"

It flies directly out of her hand and hurls itself directly toward the lava creatures, threatening to possibly tear them apart with a strange chaotic energy.

Argast Wyrdseeker     Argast watches as the bike rides for him, and the shots from yuna. Fascinated by the technology, Argast hesitates for a moment. This allows him to be struck. Were it not for the chaos armor, he would be done right there. He's sent back, and his warriors stare in shock. "Hmph! Lucky shot!" One calls back. Argast smirks. "I suppose I'll have to get serious then. But where are my manners. I am Argast Wyrdseeker! Sorceror Lord of Tzeench! The Lores of Fire, Shadow, and Metal are mine to bend! You will fall first, and then all of the Old World! Warband, DESTROY THEM IN THE NAME OF CHAOS UNDIVIDED!" He screams out. The warriors charge, screaming out in fury. The barbarians reveal themselves to be aligned to Khorne, the sore-bearers are aligned to Nurgle, and the pretty-boys to slaneesh. Argast himself watched for a long monet, but soon took up a stance of charging. Everyone around would feel him building up magical energy, but one of anger and clearly bound to the lore of fire he claimed to control. Though Reimu manages to catch his attention. "Well, well...another one."
Kyra Hyral Strangely enough, at least Kyra doesn't seem to be accosted by the summoned lava golems. Everyone else does, the creatures chaotically attacking anyone within reach in a chaotic fashion-perhaps to the benefit of Wyrdseeker's forces.

Meanwhile, Kyra peels herself off the ground and takes cover behind one of the golems as a Barbarian charges, using it as fiery cover which does its duty in protecting her.

She starts to summon her magic again and cringes as she knows, in that moment, just like during the time Phoenix was almost summoned, that her magic will not work here in this place of Chaos. No support for her allies...but that is fine, though, she will use it in her own way, to her advantage. She feels the white magic switching to black just as she directs it and instead unleashes the resulting lightning bolt through a swath of Chaos forces.

"I am Kyra Hyral! I am a white mage and I am very, very against the Chaos here!!! VERY AGAINST! Just look at what it does to my magic!"
Yuna Kagurazaka Whatever happened to Elner, Yuna has already resigned herself to seeing this incident through without the robo-faerie's support - and as Argast orders his forces to charge, the long 'pigtails' affixed to Yuna's helmet pivot forward: they're actually one long piece each, a slowly widening triangle from the attachment/swivel point towards the ends ...

Ends which house minitorpedo launchers, five in each 'tail'. And as the Chaos forces charge, Yuna lets fly with the minitorpedoes - tiny rockets flying through the air, their paths swirling about some before they converge and detonate. Small as they are, the minitorpedoes do pack a punch: again, not quite deadly, unless the targets are REALLY weak against Holy or Light elemental power. The purpose is, again, less to blow the enemy apart, and more to disrupt their charge - throw them off their footing, off their stride, whatever she can accomplish.

And even as the minitorpedoes fly, Yuna is taking note of what details she can see. She knows the Chaos gods' specialties well enough, from talking to Karian and others. She recognizes plagues as Nurgle's domain, raw violence as Khorne's; Slaanesh is particularly loathsome to Yuna on as personal a basis as she wants to imagine.

That's probably why, as the first volley of torpedoes finishes detonating, the prettyboys of Slaanesh are the particular targets of Yuna's resumed Matrix Divider fire - and to the extent that she can aim, she *IS* shooting them in their prettyboy faces.

But she isn't ignoring Argast's introduction, as much as a piece of her wants to.

"I am Yuna Kagurazaka," the blonde sometimes-idol calls out. "I am the chosen champion of my world's Queen of Light; the title I bear is 'Savior of Light'! I would not do battle if I had a choice - but the Chaos you represent would wreak too much suffering for me to allow you even a foothold, even here! Again I call on you to withdraw, while you have the strength and the choice to do so!"

Her declaration is punctuated by another series of focused blasts of holy and concussive radiance, trying to 'punch' another Slaaneshian prettyboy in the face, not to blow a hole through it but simply to blast him backwards and ruin that unholy visage of Chaos-borne 'beauty'.
Reimu Hakurei      Reimu continues to stare at her rod for a moment as it begins to emit a violet glow as well. Then, it proceeds to head directly toward the warriors in Argast's army in a frenzy. She sighs for a moment,

"Not again! This shouldn't have happened a second time!"

She huffs for a moment and then she finally glances toward Argast himself. She grins as the orbs arrange themselves in front of her. The four orbs begin to rotate in their positions and she sighs,

"Well, it's nice to see that you have armor, but you better survive this or all of your shouting will be for nothing."

The four red and white orbs unleash myriad upon myriad of red glowing needles directly toward Argast Wyrdseeker. The clumps of penetrating needles descend directly onto him and anyone who might be unfortunate enough to stand next to him as well.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is now opening fire with he pistol at one o the thing she' speeidn up on her bike however she does not want to sit still or leave her bike to get shot at, it's time for some crazy motorcycle tricks and that's what she's going to do. She's speeding around shooting now at the horrible lava golems thing and the mention of one of the four runinous power has Kotone pretty damn scared but right now not dying is the top list on the transhuman woman's list of things to do today!
Argast Wyrdseeker     Argast's host of chaos is drilled hard by Yuna's attacks. Many slaneeshi 'prettyboys' scream as their visages are ruined, which is as much a mortal wound to them as a blade. Kyra's golems smash down members of the horde indiscriminate to their alleigence. Reimu's attacks strike true and hit Argast and his host. The armor holds up for the most part, and the more keen-eyed would see the sorceror have a moment of panic. The energies in his hands flickered and fought against their master, wanting to wreak destruction. "No...I will not retreat, Yuna. I will show you little your title means..." He rasps, fighting to control the winds of magic. Kotone's pistol fire pings more of his soldiers down.
"By the Red wind of flame, I call upon it's hatred. Destroy my foes!!!" Argast intones. While his horde holds for the moment, the ground shakes. With a slam of his staff to the ground, the chaos sorceror sends forth a wave of flame, but watches it soon change to an almost icy form thanks to the energies of the area.
Kyra Hyral It would be nice for her to go out and cast a dispell on Argast, just to see if it worked. But that would mean she has to be able to cast correctly and that just wasn't happening right now. Fortunately, she did have other means.

Again, as the danger comes-in this case, Argast's spell, Kyra takes cover behind another lava golem. However, in this case, once the icy blast is unleashed, the spreading magic smashes and immediately cools every lava golem on the field, rendering them as angry-looking basalt and obsidian statues.

This time when she steps out from beneath her stony cover, she's ready with something much more reliable-her hunting rifle. It's stocked with darts but the darts are of the explosive variety, which Argast will learn if she manages to actually hit him!
Sanary Rondel Reimu, too? That more or less confirms to Sanary that this definitely isn't the time to try and pull Argast aside, but with so many Elites trying to pile in on him at once... How's she supposed to give him an opening to escape without making it too obvious? It's not like she can even see all that well with the magitech eye going nuts and shooting explosive lasers all over the place!

Oh. Right. Explosions. "Uh... H-hey! Little help here? Shit... Watch your heads!" She can at least hear roughly where people are, and the one-eyed healer's fully intending to put that to good use! She turns her head a bit in the general direction of the sky above where Argast and Yuna are before turning further, letting the laser sweep overhead and generating more explosions at it hits random debris and anyone/anything unluckily enough to be too close to it. She's hoping it'll be too high to hit any of his forces, but... Well, it's a crap shoot!

To her credit, at least, she really can't control the laser coming out as constantly as it is.
Reimu Hakurei
Reimu stares directly at Argast for a moment. Something did not seem right at all. Her needles don't normally cause this amount of harm until after the barrage. She watches as the fire sails directly underneath her. However, two of her orbs seem to be reacting strangely. Two of the red and white orbs shudder before the needle flow is stopped from them. She looks at the orbs for a moment,

"Wait, what the heck is going."

They proceed to sporadically begin firing homing talismans directly toward the Argast's army. The red talismans are practically spraying them towards the army while the two orbs in front of her continue to rain needles upon Argast.

     "Why is this-"

She doesn't have time to contemplate this as a laser appears to be sweeping directly toward her. She hastily swerves away from the approaching laser and consequently shifts the position of the needles towards the other soldiers in Argast's army.
Yuna Kagurazaka Fire, ice, either one is going to be bad - and while Yuna dismisses the Matrix Divider and calls out, "Shugoseiheki!!" to summon her kite shield, how much good a shield will do against an elemental blast is questionable at best. Particularly under these conditions: Yuna's land mobility is badly hindered in Marine Form in the best of circumstances - she has some, but nothing like what she'd have even in the basic Light Suit. And while Kyra is quick to bring her rifle to bear, shooting Argast won't stop an already-unleashed spell.

Yuna makes the best of it that she can, keeping the kite shield interposed between herself and Argast as she begins tail-springing to her right. Another volley of minitorpedoes flies as soon as the launchers can reload them; this time, she's more concerned with trying to break the 'front' of the ice spell.

And she's still thinking about that when she abruptly plunges into a pitch-black lake that literally was not there when she started her jump.

Fortunately, Marine Form has a closed helmet and a sealed air supply. That's the only thing which is still working in Yuna's favor, because she's never tried wielding Shugoseiheki while underwater; the Wall of the Guardian Star weighs her down, and it's an off-balance weight to boot. She has to get to the surface again before 'reality' shakes itself out again - and then the surface of the lake gets iced over by Argast's spell.

That's not good. Yuna may be marginally safer underwater, but she can't help her friends from down there - and if she doesn't rendezvous with the others in a hurry, *she'll* be swept out of the Wastelands without being able to keep track of where she is.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is moving fast with her motorcycle and she's pulling off some pretty insane tricks, how she's doing that? She's fully on linked with the bike's systems to keep control and do other things at the same time. She says nothing but there's a look on her face it's a grim one to be sure. She banks her bike and keeps shooting but then something comes she's not sure and there's a huge burst of flame which she's forced to break off from.

"Chaos worshipers. They won't show reasont heir minds are already lost to them."

She's very thankful for a certain space marine's past though she has no idea these guys are not from /that/ world.
Argast Wyrdseeker     The warriors fight on, though strangely, they stop at points to bicker amongst each other, suggesting their unity isn't perfect at all. Still, Kyra would find mad warriors still gunning to cut her down. Kotone would find much the same, though the warriors were being more careful with her, seeing that her magic could be a problem, at least when they weren't being harassed by Reimu's strange talismans and needles..
Argast was more focused on Reimu as well. He war forming fireballs in his hand at a nearly rapid pace and hurling them towards everyone he could, though he was dancing a dangerous dance with the winds of magic. Use them enough, and they bite back. Sanary would get a look, and find only the odd fireball thrown at her. It seemed that Argast picked up on her subtle assistance.
Juno Eclipse   The air shimmers not far behind the figure of Kyra Hyral.

At first, one might be able to dismiss it as just another trick of the light or bending of reality so characteristic to this place. Reality behind her shimmers like a heat wave over the desert, a mirage; a trick of the weary eye -- but it continues to twist, until something actually forms behind her.

Twin engines screaming and kicking up plumes of dust, the sleek, black form of the Rogue Shadow simply /appears/ behind the White Mage, running lights blinking, the sleek lines of its predatory shape gleaming darkly.

The boarding ramp descends, even as the hatch on the belly of the ship swings open. Light shines from inside.

It doesn't move, waiting for the White Mage, but the sweep of its sheltering wings and its dark, predatory lines are a silent threat against anyone who might try to interfere with Kyra's escape.

Juno Eclipse's voice issues from the loudspeaker, slightly tinny and shot with static. Her tone is dauntlessly cheerful in spite of the very fabric of reality warping around her and her ship.

[I wouldn't take this ship into a hell-space of reality warping nightmare for just anyone, you know.]

At that, the ship simply hovers in place, engines whining, waiting patiently for Kyra to get aboard.
Reimu Hakurei      Reimu begins to swerve away from the many fireballs that practically grace the skies. As the fire balls grace the sky, she begins to feel the heat of the fire as it causes her to sweat. It isn't as bad as the last time, but it's still pretty noticeable considering that she is still avoiding them all. As this continues, the two orbs are still raining needles down toward Argast. The apparent chaos of this environment is really causing a hit on her fire power.

Meanwhile, her purification rod is beginning to make its way directly toward Argast as well, the large staff spinning at speeds that shouldn't be possible. Two of the orbs have dematieralized at this point. There was no point in using them if they couldn't work well. Her main two orbs change in their firing pattern as well and the needles seem to focus on aiming directly in front of her form. The target of the orbs is once again.
Yuna Kagurazaka Something explodes above her, and without really thinking about where, Yuna propels herself through the water, even as it goes from cold and clear to hot and murky - and 'water' starts transitioning into something a lot less safe to swim through. "No no no no no -- !!" Yuna whimpers, almost chanting against her gut feeling that things are about to get much, MUCH worse ... and her heart almost stops at the sight of a 'surface' that is NOT open air.

She launches a fresh volley of minitorpedoes; she's certain this is where she saw the explosion bare seconds ago, and a second explosion blasts that 'crust' open again. THIS time it's open air on the other side, and Yuna practically leaps out -

Into open air.

And behind the Chaos forces.

Marine Form disengages; Shugoseiheki vanishes as Yuna sheds the extra weight, and the Matrix Divider appears in her hands one more time. She's potentially in her allies' fields of fire, but at the moment, she cares less about friendly fire and more about, well, not being HERE any longer than she can possibly avoid. And to that end?

She starts shooting Chaos troops in the back, or whatever passes for it. She thinks she recognizes Argast's back, although she hasn't seen it - and as Marina finishes reassembling into her android form, Yuna charges forward, her grip on her main weapon shifting from gun mode to sword mode. "HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" she yells at the top of her lungs, the Matrix Divider flaring bright in her hands ...

And totally misses an attempt to smite Argast from behind thanks to completely misjudging her range, or something. Maybe she at least startles him enough to disrupt another spell - it doesn't matter, she is NOT sticking around for a second swing. Yuna just runs like hell away from the Chaos portal, *through* the Chaos gods' soldiers, and if she has to smite a mook or four, melee-style, to protect herself along the way? She's too freaked out to keep holding back right now.

Meanwhile, Elner finally reappears near the Rogue Shadow, and the robo-faerie transmits, /Can you linger long enough for Yuna to get on board? Erina and Jiina are out of the Wastelands, they'll meet us on the way back.
Sanary Rondel This is not going nearly as well as Sanary had hoped at all. She can't quite hear anyone getting hit by her explosive lasers, it's hard to see if anyone's even coming near her, and she's pretty sure something just exploded in front of her. "Gah, son of a-shit!" She shouts out painfully (and just a little melodramatically) as she's knocked right off her feet and onto the...

... She'll find out once she stops falling. Eventually. Perhaps luckily or unluckily for herself, the magitech eye is still going nuts with all the ambient magic in the air, and those explosive lasers seem to be getting more... Explodey once she finally does land on a perfectly vertical surface. Sanary groans wearily as she tries to get a better look at things again, inadvertently firing some of the constant explosions at the ground near Kyra to give her gunfire a backdrop of EXPLOSIONS, the air near Juno and Elner to make it look like they're under attack by EXPLOSIONS, the air further above Reimu that might make it look like she narrowly avoided EXPLOSIONS, and even trailing Kotone so it looks like she's escaping from...

     .. Well, guess.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is just shooting afgian she's just trying to keepo them off balance and reality is just too jakced up here they shouldn't have come and it's time to get going the moment she can find an opening to do so. She opens fire just as junon makes herself known.

"Wait a way out! Hey Blackout can I get a lift!"

IT's a relaly bad idea to remain here and there's a way out here.

She banks on her bike and she's making for Juno's ship and she just hopes she'll be able to get aboard with the others it's madness to keep fighting here and she understand now why no one wants to come here.
Argast Wyrdseeker     Yuna's distraction worked almost a bit too well. Argast was charging up another fireball when the main weapon fired off. Losing control of the spell, it caused a fairly sizable explosion that had enough force to send Argast flying off in the direction of Sanary. The warband blink, shocked by this. Some immidiately fall into their infighting, claiming it was their right to take over the warband now. But that left them exposed to Reimu, and Kyra's rifle. Argast shakes off the explosion, his armor surprisingly strong. He looks to Sanary, and sighs. "The chaos here is too unpredictable...time for us to leave. You did not attack me, so you may be an ally." He says. He makes a quiet call to his still loyal soldiers, who scatter. "Lead me to your leaders...it seems we may have common enemies."
Juno Eclipse   The Rogue Shadow's boarding ramp stays where it is, and the main hatch stays open, even as explosions rock the ship and reality tries to tear itself apart just beyond the hull.

Gamely, the black ship waits, even as its pilot sweats in her chair. Juno spares a hand just long enough to rake sweat-torqued hair out of her face before returning her hands to the controls, fighting to keep the ship in line. To say this place is hell on her nerves is an understatement.

[Hurry it up, Kagurazaka! I can't stay here indefinitely; I'm taking fire! Everyone aboard or I'm leaving you behind!]

Verniers flare to keep the ship stable, even going so far as to tilt very slightly to accomodate Kotone's bike as it comes toward the ship. But, contrary to her complaints, she'll wait for her allies, even if the picture looks a little grim.

  Softie.
Kyra Hyral Very calmly, Kyra boards the ship, even as the last few stragglers run for her. She doesn't indicate just how long, if at all, she knew Juno was there. Maybe she didn't! But despite all that, she conducts herself calmly and cooly as she slips onto the newly delcoaked Rogue Shadow.

She conly catches snatches of the conversation of Agast before she makes her own retreat, unaware that he is calling a retreat moments later.

"I know you wouldn't Juno." Kyra murmurs, "But I'm very, very glad that you did."
Reimu Hakurei      Reimu begins to fly after Argast, when a small portal gets in the way of the spinning gohei. It's the same red eyed portal from earlier and it immediately closes up upon swallowing it up. She blinks upon seeing the portal and sighs,

"Fighting here is unnecessary. Now I just need a way out of."

She finally notices the large ship that happens to be open and smiles,

     "Thank goodness!"

The young miko proceeds to fly directly into the unfamiliar machine upon noticing some of the earlier warriors from earlier being on the ship.
Yuna Kagurazaka Fortunately for Elner, the little robo-faerie has a force field, the golden bubble flaring into visibility to ward off the force of the air blowing up around it. "How is that even -" the robo-faerie begins to protest, but instead of trying to analyze it (it's probably just magic), Elner attempts to navigate to the Rogue Shadow's hatch.

Fortunately for Yuna, the warband's sudden descent into infighting means that she's not exactly a primary target. On the other hand, the explosion from the fireball scorches *her* as well, throwing her off-stride as the Light Suit crackles erratically, a fresh flare of protective light erupting every time her feet hit the ground - not assisted at all when shots from what's left of the Chaos forces smack into her back, whether aimed consciously by the attacker or missing a different intended target.

Marina has a better opportunity to maneuver - *she* isn't getting shot at, and while she's in independent mode, she can fly as well as her 'sisters' can when neither of them are combined with Yuna. Marina swerves just once - reaching into a wrinkle of space and hauling Jiina back into this pocket of reality - and Erina comes crashing out of nowhere, practically headbutting Yuna.

Who goes down with a yelp of pain as her Light Suit finally shatters around her.

The blonde looks more or less unconscious as Erina scoops her up and flies for the Rogue Shadow; Marina and Jiina catch up just as she's reaching the ship's ramp, and the whole Matrix of Light bundles on board with a knocked-out Yuna in tow.
Sanary Rondel Sanary keeps her head fairly still by the time she hears Argast speaking to her, being very careful to aim those eye-based explosions away from him and into what she can only assume to be the sky instead.

(It's actually just giving the Rogue Shadow more explosions to escape from).

"Uh...? Oh. Hey. Yeah, this place is awful. Remind me not to..." She gestures around vaguely, then carefully starts prying herself off the wall-ground she's on. "Alright. See the area that's not so colorful and screwy?" More gesturing, and then she's reaching for Argast as a green light flows from that hand towards him. It's healing magic, but of the regeneration-boosting sort rather than the holy-aligned restorative sort! Between that and putting even more energy into EXPLOSIONS, the eye laser eventually dies out at the same time as the light from her hand and the one in her eye.

"Start heading that way. Just.. Give me a tug, and I'll keep up." The healer's ready to run, even if she doesn't know which way just yet. All in all, it looks like things are starting to work out!
