Yunomi Stadler     THE CITY-WORLD OF RAVNICA: IZZET SECTOR.

Nestled amongst the spires and high walkways that make up the Izzet Sector and obscure the mountains and rivers from view is the Guildgate, a massive wall beaten by weather and wreathed in the colors of the guild -- azure blue and scarlet reds. The grand staircase that leads up is adorned, lit and heated by massive red and blue orbs of glass containing magical energy -- on a side note, do /not/ break the glass. It would be bad.

On the stairs there is not a goblin, nor really one of the proud humans who run the guild, but a shortish girl. Her dark hair is pulled back into a hasty bun -- with flyaways all over -- and her bangs are dyed the same brilliant reds and blues of the guildgate. Her armor is leathery and brass, in reds and blues and sports both the old Izzet sigil -- a dragon, with the rays of a corona worn like a crown -- and the new Izzet sigil, three wings formed into an eye.

She's swinging a pair of goggles around on her fingers, whistling and waiting.
Sigrun Stem Sigrun feels right at home, the spires and floating walkways may not be quite like New York, but they're closer than anything she's seen elsewhere. The masked woman walks through the guildgate with headmovements that indicate she's looking in all directions, including up and down, for potential threats.

At least the monster exterminator has her bow on her back and her hands free of any implements of death. The red gem on her left glove glows mildly, and up in the air above her, blue letters write themselves into the air on a phantom paper. 'I am Sigrun Stem.'
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi glances up at Sigrun, and she gives a wry little smile as she pushes off the edge of the gateway, and gives a little wave to the exterminator.

"Hey there. I am Yunomi Stadler, Izzet Leaguemage, welcome to Ravnica, Sigrun, glad to have you!" she greets her friendily, and offers a pair of goggles in one hand -- and a bagel with the other. "Hungry?"
Frankenstein     Ravnica, Izzet Sector. A pair of figures start approaching the steps towards the Guildgate, one of them seen wearing a wedding dress-like outfit and holding a large metal mace with sparks shooting off the end of it towards fins and the horn upon this woman's head. The feel of magic in the air gives Berserker a slight bounce to her step and possibly eases the drain upon her own Master near her, "It... feels... good here..." she comments towards Ainsley, still slowly trudging along to the stairs...

At least until she meets another couple of people near it... She gives a slight wave and a grunt of confusion, "A...re you... Yu..nomi?" she questions shortly, the groans creaking out of her mouth with each word, "It... is good.. to see you..."
Ainsley     Ainsley is here, though mostly following along with White Berserker's pace. She nods and gives a soft 'Mm hmm' in reply to the Servants comment toward her, and remains otherwise silent besides saying "Hello~" toward Yunomi. The lizard lady appears to be wearing shorts and long socks, and one of her thighs has some medical wrap on it. She's hovering a few inches off the ground, both to keep her socks clean and to keep her weight off of her leg.
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi pauses to turn from Sigrun for a moment, and gives a smile to Ainsley, and a broad smile to the Berserker.

"I am! Yunomi Stadler, Izzet league mage," the girl's round, animal-like ears give a wiggle, and her tail flicks as she gives a bow, and offers out bagels and goggles to the assembled.

"Now, seeing as this was such short notice, I'm not sure who else we'll run into, buuuut I'm pretty sure I can take you up to see some of the manacoils." she states, and motions to the tower wreathed in lightning, the energy cascading down off it.
Sigrun Stem The masked sharpshooter is rejects both offers of gifts, a quick wave and a thin bubble forms around Sigrun's head, tightly fitting, a faint dark brown tinge to it. "This should do the trick, and I won't have to take my mask off." She says softly.

"It is nice to meet you again, Ainsley. Nice to meet you in person, Berserker, miss Stadler." She reaches a gloved hand out for a handshake to Yunomi, the fingers that stick out calloused and strong, archer's hands.
Frankenstein     Berserker looks at the offered bagel and goggles, taking both, she might be able to use this. Using the bagel as something to nom on, even if she doesn't need to consume normal food. "It's... good to get... out and explore. Master.. has been saying... I should see more... places." she nods, "That.... is why i am .. here." she hmms slightly and starts forward, loooking at the manacoils... and the lightning. "I... feel good here. It's... comfortable." she briefly smiles, her heterochromatic eyes peeking under that disheveled hair.

"Master... do you... need me to... carry you?"
Ainsley     Ainsley flashes a smile of greeting toward Sigrun and another gentle "Hello," seeming to be in a pleasant mood today. She accepts the goggles when given a pair, though she has trouble fitting to her non-standard head and it takes some adjustment. Once she has a bagel in one of her hands, she looks over at White Berserker... the offer to carry her makes her blush.

"Oh, I'll be fine," she tells Berserker, confidently, "Thank you, though. That's very kind."
Yunomi Stadler     Now that she is free of bagels and goggles alike, Yunomi is able to shake hands. "It does feel good here; this is the Izzet Sector... this is the place I call 'home'." Yunomi gives a bit of a sad smile ad the admission, her shoulders sag just a hair -- but she claps her hands, glances about to the others and chipperly starts with: "SO! Who's afraid of electrocution?"
Frankenstein     "Home." ... "Like Bahamut?" she questions, "Do you ... have monsters... attacking the ... Home too?" she questions again, this time, with her Bridal Chest in both hands, looking ready to go smash something... wait, afraid of electrocution? "I'm... not." as a few sparks from the large ball on the Bridal Chest zaps those ear fins and the horn. "Electricity... is. Good for me..." she ponders, "You... conserve it.. yes?"
Sigrun Stem "Afraid isn't quite the word I'd use. I'd prefer 'interested in minimizing the potential.'" Sigrun's tone of voice seems to be good natured, there's no actual concern at display. "If it turns out the risk goes too high, I may have to employ countermeasures."

Sigrun shows off a quick little magical shielding spell, unlike her regular ones designed to cancel out kinetic energy, this one has a clear outer line that seems designed to attract and harmlessly dissipate electricity.

"This area reminds me of the the Leyline Extraction Facility that I went to once. Equally filled with this potent, ambient energy." Sigrun looks around curiously, "Is everything here like that?"
Ainsley     "I'm not afraid of a little lightning," Ainsley tells Yunomi, between bites of bagel. She tilts her head toward Berserker, "She absorbs lightning, so she'd probably attract the brunt of any mishaps anyways. I'll keep her between me and any manacoils we look at." The lizard woman looks over at Sigrun in mild interest, the words 'Leyline Extraction' catching her attention. It seems to put her mind to work, but she doesn't have any questions yet.
Rhapsody     "Not entirely, mana in Ravnica is a very complicated thing," comes a voice from farther up the passage. Any eyes that turn that way would come across Rhapsody who had clearly heard Sigrun's question. "A 'little bird' told me there was a gathering going on down here, so I decided to come take a look." Eventually she stops, bows to greet everyone, and then takes a look around at everyone. "I do not know some of you, but there is at least one familiar face here. I'm glad to see you here, again, Ainsley. To those I am not familiar with, my name is Rhapsody and I am the current Guildmaster to the Izzet."
Yunomi Stadler     "The worst monsters I have ever encountered have almost always been humans." Yunomi replies to Beserker "So in that... yes, sometimes." she gives a sad bit of a smile, and it appears she was going to answer Sigrun's question when another voice answers, and Yunomi turns, glancing over her shoulder as the dragon steps out into the way, and she gives that sidelong little smile that /Only/ Rhaps gets, and she makes a sweeping bow. "Guildmaster~." she greets Rhapsody.

"May I present Sigrun Stem, a monster hunter, and the Beserker of White, Servant to Ainsley. Assembled and esteemed guests, Rhapsody Mizzet, Guildmaster of the Izzet League, who has a very sneaky sister. Don't think I didn't catch her looking." she didn't, but Yunomi is always on good terms.
Sigrun Stem "If we're doing full proper titles, then I am Sigrun Stem, Licensed as a Monster ''Exterminator'' in the States of New York and New Jersey. Certified Spellweaver. Lance Corporal in the USMC Reserve." Sigrun rattles it off with casual disinterest, only emphasizing the point of 'exterminator' rather than 'hunter' with any degree of personal caring. "It's nice to meet you, ma'am."

She seems to be paying special attention to Ainsley, like she noticed the latter had heard something of interest.
Ainsley     "So, a leyline extractor... how safe is that?" Ainsley wonders over at Sigrun, her concerns equating it to oil drilling in her own mind, "Leylines are the natural flow of energy through the world, wouldn't extracting large portions of energy like that have some side effects?" She doesn't seem overtly worried about it, though. The introduction had gotten a smile out of her -- She smiles wider at Rhapsody, feeling welcome making her extra happy -- mostly she's here because her Servant wanted to visit. "Everyone here already knows me," she murmurs, not bothering with an introduction.
Yunomi Stadler     "Ah, my apologies, Sigrun." Yunomi states, and then, walking backwards, she raises her hands and focuses. "Lllladies and gentlemen! In this corner, the /Fabulous/ Fanciful Filadh," she uses Bedivere's word for magician, mostly for the alliteration, "Ainsley!"

And around Ainsley, little red and blue fireworks, silent and cool, errupt, with the crowds cheering around them. Yunomi is apparently having fun, even though she is not wearing her safety goggles.

"The Marines, huh? I grew up in Fort Detrick; my dad worked a lot with the Marines, and consequentially so did I." Yunomi gives a wry smile. "Great bunch of people. /Very/ enthusiastic."
Frankenstein     Berserker is just silent with everything going on, before she speaks.. "I... am Berserker. Ainsley's Servant. She... is a good Master." she comments before backing up and watching everything going on. She's not really much for words, but her head tilts and turns, taking in every sight along the sky and wall and ground... Interested Berserker is Interested.
Rhapsody     "Well met, all of you. I'm glad you have come to Ravnica, and the Izzet sector, regardless of what reason it may be. As Yunomi could confirm, company here is always welcome," she says, tone sincere from start to finish. "So.." she starts to transition, smirking toward Yunomi first for the little display for Ainsley, but then moving to her question, "Is there something that needs to be taken care of or just a simple visit?"
Sigrun Stem "No more dangerous than sapping the life force of the planet ought to sound like. No major short-term effects, but you know, when you start to rely on something like that, you want to use more of it, and more of it, and more of it." Sigrun says with the tone of someone who thinks something ought to be done, but is powerless to do it.

"And then the people running the business start lobbying for analysists to provide the data they want to help justify congress to do nothing, despite the magical consensus being that we're heading for a disaster."

Sigrun shrugs, and looks towards Yunomi, "But enough about environmentalism, yes the Marines. I never was the best Marine but they could tolerate my lack of patriotism because I am good at what I do, and I could tolerate their strictness because it'd pay for college. Served in the Iraq War as a sharpshooter."

"I think we were supposed to get a tour." Sigrun adds for the sake of the guildmaster, "With your permission, of course."
Rhapsody     Realizing the concerns about mana generation, Rhapsody is quick to answer, "Ah, no no, no drilling no sapping, nothing like that. The Izzet have been generating mana reserves, batteries, and transformers, for millenia. Please be assured this is nothing like the oil drills of Earth or the reactors of .. that one city. I'm sorry I don't recall the name of it but I assure you, this is not draining our world's essence."
Ainsley     "Almost exactly like the oil crisis," Ainsley thinks aloud, troubled by the comparison but hardly seems to fuss over it for more than a second. She mentally files it away, though, as something to look at if she ends up having any motivation to help Sigrun or her world. Yunomi's introduction is... embarrassing. Ainsley's face turns pink through the black scales, and she gives a big smile over at Yunomi in apparent appreciation, but she doesn't say anything about it.

"Right. Let's look at some lightning."
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi beams. "Matter of fact, there's so much /ambient/ energies in even the air we breathe, that I'm working on a project to help not only revolutionize and update the mana transferrence systems and update the various power grid functions of Ravnica including the integration of more green spaces to make the more nature-loving guilds happy aand more lible to accept our work but also to make it stronger, faster, /better/ -- we can do it, work it harder--" she pauses, and then she gives a laugh, rubbing the back of her head.

"Guess maybe I should get out more... but yes, the tour! This way!" Yunomi ducks down a side hallway -- it's hardly wide enough for Rhapsody, but others should fit through just fine.

    "This-a-way!"
Sigrun Stem "The oil crisis?" Sigrun asks aloud, somewhat curious. "Is that another 'Earth' thing?" Yeah she's picked up on the fact Earth tends to trend similarly to Antichthon, but she doesn't push the point, instead, she checks to make sure her face-protection spell remains intact, then follows along. "It sounds interesting, perhaps we should look into this for a sustainable solution for back home."
Ainsley     "It is. On many modern Earths, many forms of machinery are powered by combustion of petrol chemicals, basically liquid fuel derived from a substance ... kind of like fermented dinosaurs, deep under the earth," Ainsley explains to Sigrun, "Petrochemical companies do similar things to what you described, which resulted in the temperature of entire Earths rising and innumerable environmental issues arising from the refining, distribution, derivation and use of fuel oils without adequete regulation or consideration of the consequences."

"... something like that, anyways," she murmurs, because she realizes she's not an expert on the subject and she doesn't want to lay it on too thick. A little late for that. She patiently follows and tries to be silent but she's got that nerdy compulsion to just spew words whenever prompted.
Rhapsody     "I'm not entirely familiar with Earth's history, or any particular one for that matter, so I'd have to defer to what Ainsley knows on the subject," Rhapsody says, following after everyone moves on to follow Yunomi. The Guildmaster is -very- curious to see how the #1 apprentence handles an Izzet tour.
