Yari Takane Finally released from medical and cleared for field work, it's time to make sure she's in top condition! And what better way to do that than for Yari to invite Sanary over to the Field of Trials! She's donned a simple Fed uniform with some light armor over it, a pair of wakizashi sheathed at her sides.

Yari offers a warm, if concerned smile when Sanary arrives. "Sanary. How are you feeling?" She starts off, even as she goes through a few stretches. The Field is set up to appear like some sort of gladiator's arena, though no cheering fans or Emperors on high.
Sanary Rondel It's been a good number of days since Sanary's reverted to her less psychotic and more filtered mental state. She's been a fair bit quieter than normal, and it probably hasn't been too hard to notice that she's even been more withdrawn, but on the plus side?

At least she doesn't look like she's in her rebellious phase any more.

"Hey, Yari. I'm... Ah. Feeling better." She waves lightly as she approaches the field, shaking her arms off and straightening out her old white coat as she starts working her magic into the air around her. She sounds about as restrained as she's been the past few days, almost a little... Afraid of something?

Her abilities are still working as fine as ever, though. Bricks are forming! Tiles, too, and even a few discs and spikes. Sanary needs target practice, and Yari needs to test those new arms. "You make sure to eat enough before coming here? I got a lot of energy to burn, so now's your chance."
Yari Takane Not longer a psychotic kill-crazy yandere? A plus. Withdrawn? A negative. Yari can't help but purse her lips a moment, but then forces a smile.

"Are you? Show me then."

That's about when the ninja leaps to the left, her newly attached arm drawing a quartet of kunai. They're flung at Sanary's legs, before she circles around, making several handseals. A fireball goes zooming right for Sanary and her tiles!

That throw is a bit slow, though. Still getting used to the new arm! "Plenty. I have leftovers, too, we'll have a nice dinner after! Enjoy this, Sanary. Enjoy..."

"Freedom."
Sanary Rondel Grinning a bit as Yari initiates their sparring match, Sanary keeps her eye on Yari as those kunai and fireball come flying towards her. A pair of tiles and a brick intercept the fireball to keep herself from getting burnt up, but she can't quite keep up with the kunai as they're thrown. Tiles stop two of them in their tracks, but she's forced to actually drop back a bit when the other two graze past her legs and draw blood!

Apparently, they're both still getting used to new things. "That sounds good. I bought some crappy chicken today, so maybe I'll just mix it into a curry or something." A breath to focus herself, and then four of her own projectiles go flying at the ninja! A brick, a tile, a spike, and a hastily assmebled pillar! Despite the last one being the biggest by far, though, it's the only one with the consistency of shaving cream. Making these things takes time!

"Freedom, hm? Yeah... Freedom's good, but power..." She's still hesitating a bit. "I can do more with power."
Yari Takane "Add some pepper, and a little bit of wine, let the curry sit overnight." Suggests Yari, even as she's busy dodging horrible, horrible objects! Namely, a spike narrowly whistles past her head, causing her to leap up in a backflip! She manages to kick away the title, only to take a brick to the chest! Oomph! Back down to the ground she goes, landing and sliding to a stop!

Pillar! She tries to do the obvious thing! She leaps at it, trying to run up it's surface. But, it's /shaving cream/! In goes the ninja, letting out a hiss of surprise, and then out the other end. Still, she makes the most of it, flying for Sanary and trying to tackle her with vicious, hard kicks aimed towards the face and chest! Then she'll try to lock her up into an arm lock with both arms!

She's definitely getting Pillar-Cream everywhere though!

"You need both to truly make changes, Sanary. If you end up a soggy pawn, then you'd end up thrown away. Especially when the one offering you power doesn't care at all about your well being." There's hatred lurking in her eye, but it's not aimed for Sanary.
Sanary Rondel "Overnight? Hm... Should be good for tomorrow's lunch, then." Sanary actually chuckles a bit before readying another volley or projectiles, not seeming to find their mid-spar meal discussion all that odd. Then again, it's hard to find /anything/ odd with the Multiverse being the way it is.

If anything, it'd be weirder without any banter to speak of.

Yari's got Sanary where she probably wants her now, with the healer forced to fight at close range against a much more agile and skilled opponent! Even though she's trying to step back to evade those hits, it's really her arms doing most of the work in blocking those powerful kicks! Bones fracture and heal back, then fracture again as she's stuck in that loop of kicks, leaving her wide open for that arm lock!

"Ggh... Not bad, Yari. Already looks like you're getting the hang of this. But...!" This'll probably hurt her more than it does Yari, but.. They're in the Field of Trials. She's not too worried about a few temporary injuries! Sanary tries to just brute force the ninja up and over her head in a weird attempt at a front suplex, although with the way her arms are making odd crunching noises...

Nope, not working. Not working at all.

"Fff... Soggy? Oh. Both would be nice... But how much freedom do I really have if I don't-holy hell, that's ow... Uh. If I don't have enough power to get more freedom? If I have to keep relying on everyone else to get it?" The hesitation is returning, and not just because she might have dislocated her own arms!
Yari Takane Hrrrngh! The ninja isn't exactly hard to lift, light as she is. Maybe wrestling against a much physically stronger battle cleric was a bad idea! Still, /arms/! Mid-air lifted, she struggles, until she finally gets a half decent idea.

Her tail draws a knife from her boot, and tries to stab Sanary in the spine. Luckily, she made sure that the 'non-fatal' indicator was on the Field!

"Miss Medusa picked out a good arm, and even the temporary arm is good!" Their allies know their jobs, that's for sure!

Still, wham! Yari has the air knocked out of her, and more than a few bruised ribs!

Yeah, she's going to lay here and catch her breath a second.

"Having allies is power too, Sanary. You just need to learn to leverage it. So far, you've been reacting. You need to definite your goals, and then reach out and /take/ them! Find a target, a power, a rival, and go after them with every ally and resource you have! That's gaining true power."
Sanary Rondel Letting healing magic work its way through her arms to ease the pain (even if they won't snap her arms back into place properly), Sanary's... Actually caught in a pretty bad spot here! She can't get Yari off of her easily with her arms like that, the ninja's probably fast enough to get through any attempts at trying to wrestle her into a more advantageous position, and the knife to the back draws a pained howl from the healer along with taking her down to the ground!

"Guuh... R-remind me not to try /that/ one again. Still, looks like your arms are working out great... Doesn't look like any of the ones I found." She lets out a mixed up laugh, equal parts pain and pride even as her legs buckle underneath her. Luckily, they're both on the ground now, giving the healer a chance to get that healing magic flowing and her spine...

She'll probably need help with that later. "Going after...Finding stuff myself, huh? Hn... Guess that wouldn't hurt to try." She groans while rolling onto her side, bouncing up a bit to whack her shoulder on the ground and get that arm back into place. "Could try tailing Graf one day... Aah. What about you? You got any big targets or rivals besides...?"

Sanary scowls a bit. "... Those three?" She's still sore about that one!
Yari Takane Yari's not too much better off. Sanary has her beat in stamina, especially after such an involved surgery! Eventually, she too will hop up, brushing herself off and catching a few breaths. She even comes over to help get that arm back into place!

And an extra shoulder massage! Sneaky ninja!

"Those three..." And now /four/,

"Are at the top of my list. But it's bigger than that. I want to target the Fleet Daughters directly, and show them what happens when they try out tactics. I want to hit Hikari directly."

A tilt of her head. "Other than that...I want to hit more Union assets. Things have been getting too personal, and I'll lose my edge if that happens. I can't be distracted too much."

"Maybe find a world that's established. Somewhere considered 'safe'. The Union needs to fear me."
Sanary Rondel Sanary cringes lightly when Yari helps her fix her arms, but the gesture is certainly appreciated! She even gives Yari a light pat on the shoulder once she's stable enough to stand properly. She also melts a bit at the shoulder massage, making all sorts of quiet (and embarassed) noises at the ninja's technique.

"Yeah... They keep talking about justice and being right, but... They're the ones dragging this out more than it needs to be. Dragging neutral cities into this, even..."

She scoffs quietly. "... Think we should still hit the Kawakami place some time, though?" It's a thought!

"Their weapons, their supply depots, maybe... I dunno. Their research facilities? The ones churning out their weapons and whatever they shove up their asses, anyway." The healer actually snickers a bit, and then she nods while putting an arm around Yari lightly. She's still being gentle with those new arms just in case! "We can't let 'em get comfortable, no... Make sure to let me know when you're hitting them, though. They... They need to know I'm not just waiting to get shoved around, either."
Yari Takane "Nnn! I was just doing my job. They made it personal." Huff. Cursed boats, pop stars, and school girls!

"Starting some chaos there would be great. Their rules are annoying, and I can't get caught again, but..." Frown. A shake of the head.

"Well, we'll have to plan. The Fleet is a little easier. We can hit all of those things, and I'm sure Wo will be willing to help."

A slow nod, and grin. "Yes. Sanary Rondel and Yari Takane will be names they'll tell their children to keep them obedient. We're going to be the Union's monsters under the bed!"
Sanary Rondel "Well.. Maybe we don't need to drag the city into it. Doesn't mean we can't make examples of anyone assisting the Union, though..." Sanary chuckles a little darkly at that, then gives Yari a light shake from the side.

"We'll figure something out. The Fleet'll be easier to target, at least.. I mean, they're... Like. All Union, so we can't go wrong there. We get Wo, Lute, maybe..."

She pauses, then shakes her head. Probably not a good idea to mention the rest of that idea while Yari's still pissed at the girl, and even Sanary's still not sure about Ophelia.

Instead, she just smirks at the last suggestion and laughs. "Perfect. They wanted us to be afraid, but who says we can't return the favor?"
