Scene #4089: The Rabbit's Checkup

Mitsu Mirage	It's early afternoon, Mitsu's wandering around the Citadel with an order for a medical checkup today. "Well, it shouldn't be too bad.. I mean, the TSAB had it..." she shrugs, not knowing what really to expect with some of the people here. It doesn't take too long, however, for Mitsu to get to the medical offices, "Yeah, I'm here to see a Lihzeh. She wanted to check my health..." and with a nod, she moves to sit down, waiting.
Mihk Lihzeh	The new arrival might catch some murmurs as she passes groups of nurses, doctors and orderlies. "That cat's experimenting again." "Why can't they give her lab space in the dangerous materials wing?" "If there's more damage to the biolab Command is going to freak!" What experime--- >BLAM< Right.... okay. "It's alright! That was expected!" comes a firm, prim voice from the biolab at the far end of the offices. An acrid blue-grey smoke wafts out of the door, before being purged by the air filter system. "Perfect! Doctor Lazlo! Come here! It worked!" The voice would be familiar to the Device User, and the person she spoke to would roll their eyes and gesture down the hallway. "Better go in. Doctor Lazlo just went on his break." they say.
Mitsu Mirage	Mitsu blinks a bit, tilting her head as she takes in the murmurs from passing people. "Cat? Dangerous Materials...?" ... "Damage?" ... oh dear. MItsu gulps a bit, okay, maybe this was a bit worse than TSAB's medical checkups... then that explosion. "Well shit... I think I'm just gonna head out now..." That familiar voice catches her ears but that blue-grey smoke catches her eyes. "Are you sure it's safe to go in? I... I don't want to catch something from that..." she gulps slightly only to give a bit of a nod... getting up and heading towards Lihzeh's office... "It's my funeral, eh?" She gives a brief knock... and peeks her head in. "A...ah.. hello? Anyone there?"
Mihk Lihzeh	Thankfully the office/lab is free of smoke when Mitsu pokes her head around the corner. Inside, a primarily human woman, with the ears and tail of a feline of some type, is feverishly working at a large chemistry set that would look more at home in a medieval wizard's study than a top-of-the-line medical facility. She moves with purpose, pouring a faintly glowing blue mixture into a set of vials, before her ears swivel at the voice. "You are not Doctor Lazlo." she says before turning around, adjusting her glasses before peering at the other woman. "Who are you?"
Mitsu Mirage	"It's a Familiar..." she mutters, eyeing the ears and tail... "A familiar doing... chemistry?" MItsu steps in before leaning against the opposite wall. "Nope, you're right. I'm not Doctor Lazlo. I'm Mitsu. Mitsu "Inaba" Mirage. You wanted to see me down here yesterday but I couldn't make it." she gives a cheerful grin, "I see you keep your fur in good order, looks great." a good compliment never hurt to give to a Familiar, now did it? "So, if I can ask. What the hell was that explosion?""
Mihk Lihzeh	"Familiar?" queries Mihk as she takes off a pair of gloves, setting them aside before picking up a pretty large leather-bound grimoire, opening it and flicking through a few pages. "A familiar is a type of creature, ususally summoned but sometimes contracted, to serve the summoner or contract maker in the capacity of a servant. Carbuncle is an example of a summoned familiar." she recites, which in turn, causes a small, blue, fox-like glowing creature to poke its head out from behind the chemistry set, squeakchirp and growl at Mitsu. "Heel. Stay." she commands, making it instantly drop out of 'attack mode' and sit, peering curiously. "If that is the definition you attribute to a Familiar, Miss Mirage, then I am sorry to say that no, I am not a Familiar." remarks Mihk, as she turns back to the Device User. "I am a Miqo'te, a Keeper of the Moon by birth. And I did offer to have a look at you, though you were under no obligation."
Mitsu Mirage	Off to a good start there, Mitsu. Off to a good start. "Ah, sorry. Back at the agency... ah, you know what, nevermind." she gives a bit of a chuckle, only to back up slightly when she sees the not so happy looking blue fox-like creature. "I have to say, that's something I've not seen before. Aren't you a cute little thing! Bet you're really vicious too when you want to be..." a look up towards Mihk.. "Or when she lets you be." she lets out a nervous chuckle only to slowly approach. "It listens pretty well." she comments, only to tilt her head again, "Miqo'te, huh? I'm going to have to get used to seeing a lot of new things around here, huh? And yes, I came by because I couldn't let the offer pass. Besides, need to make sure I'm in good health anyways..." she rubs the side of her arm a bit, "Just some compression pain from the bindings a couple days ago. Those mages don't play around when it comes to spells like that." Mitsu pauses a bit, "I hope I didn't offend."
Mihk Lihzeh	"No offense taken. The Carbuncle is a very simple creature, born from Aether it's only desire is to serve its summoner." replies Mihk, smiling primly. "Free." she says, which has the immediate effect of having the little creature LEAP over the chemistry set, onto the floor, then scamper over to 'sniff' at the new person. It acts like much more than just a simple servitor. "A simple check-up is it then? Very well, please, come take a seat and I shall do what I am able. My... medical practices are unlike most, and those you may be used to, but rest assured, I am not a snake-oil peddler." She turns gathering up a few vials of various hued liquids, then heads over to a very normal looking 'checkup' area behind a movable curtain. Chair, adjustable examination bed, etcetc.
Mitsu Mirage	"That's good. The Carbuncle's kinda cute too." a pause, "So in essence, it's almost the same kind of Familiar back home." though when the command is spoken, she tilts her head as it comes scampering up towards her. She leans down and smiles, moving to try and rub a hand between those ears. "Aren't you such a cute thing. Yes, yes you are." she grins, ruffling the Carbie a bit more before perking up. "Ah, no problem." she gets up and heads towards the checkup area, "Heh, quite normal looking." she mutters, moving to sit over on the exam bed. "Though, when you mean unlike most, how ... unlike most are we talkin' about? And it won't hurt Kratzenfaust, wll it?"
Mihk Lihzeh	"I use a mixture of Arcane Geometries, and what have been dubbed by some of my peers as 'barbaric' practices to diagnose the underlaying problems causing discomfort." replies the Miqo'te, setting the vials down on the table, before turning to face the Device user. "I take it Kratzenfaust is the name of your... 'Device'? If that is so, Magitek items such as that are far beyond my ken, and my craft should not impede its functioning." She then opens that grimoire again, but this time, begins to channel Aether through the pages, causing geometric shaps to appear above the parchment, looking like interwoven spell circles. "Now, please hold still."
Mitsu Mirage	"Yes, it's my Armed Device." a pause, "Ah, good. So I won't have to worry." Kratzenfaust chimes a bit and speaks up in a german-like accent. ~Thank you.~. "Though, what's barbaric about using math?" she questions watching the Miqo'te do her work, perking up as she watches the geometric shapes form. "Oooh, this is interesting magic. Wonder what it does..."
Mihk Lihzeh	Mihk 'picks up' the geometry, and 'holds' it like one may a magnifying glass, leaning over to look at the woman in her seat. She scans over, frowning in consentration, before nodding, letting go of her 'grip' and allowing the Aetheric construct to vanish back into the energy stream. "Barbaric, since my own world still uses leeches to drain 'ill humors' from the body, in some of the less enlightened areas." she remarks bitterly. "However, your body appears to have no imbalances, I will give you a simple health potion, this should speed your natural healing process, and assist in dulling the ache." The Miqo'te turns, plucking up a vial with a dark red liquid inside, it almost looks like watered down blood, and offers it to her patient.
Mitsu Mirage	Watching with curious nature, that and the fact magic is neat in any way. "I think that's quite neat, maybe I should go show those who call that barbaric who's boss then." she nods, "But glad to know I am in good health then." she gives a bit of a nod but looks strangely at that potion. Taking a hold of it, she swirls it around... "It looks like blood..." she comments, "I'll take it when I get back to my quarters, but I thank you none the less for this!"
Mihk Lihzeh	"I assure you it contains no blood, however I will warn that the taste is rather bland and can be unappealing to a Hyur's pallette." she remarks. "I can tell you what went into it, if you like." She turns, then moves over to collect a wildly varied group of items. A couple of crystal shards, one blue, one yellow, a vial distilled water, A handful of white berries and a leaf-shaped mushroom. "Water shard, Lightning shard, distilled water, Tinolqa mistletoe and a mushroom called Chanterelle." she explains. "They are ground down, mixed through a series of flasks. The red colour was an odd change for this batch, they are normally of a blueish hue. Perhaps the attempt to flavour."
Mitsu Mirage	"Hyur?" she questions, shaking her head a bit, only to look at the ingredients that are gathered. "So they're normally blue, huh? Maybe this one's a powered up potion or something." se shrugs and hops off the exam table. "So, what do I owe you for this checkup?" she questions, looking once more to the Carbie... "And how did you summon that, I'm curious..."
Mihk Lihzeh	"One of the races of my homeland. I believe the common term in the Multiverse would be... Hyoo Mahn? I may be mispronouncing that." replies Mihk, "The Hyur are the most common, the Elezen tend to keep to themselves in their woods. The Lalafell hail from the deserts, while the Roegadyn came over the seas. The Miqo'te themselves, arrived in the early days of Eorzea, and my kin can be found practically everywhere in the three city states." At the question about her Familiar, she makes a gesture. It leaps up onto her shoulder, nuzzles her cheek, then dissolves into motes of blue light, and a small red gemstone drops into her outstretched hand. "Carbuncles need a physical 'anchor' to manifest. This comes from gemstones." she pulls a second, seemingly identical gem from a pouch, and holds them out. "These are Rubies, but they are only the 'shell' to contain the Aether and help regulate it. Within the ruby shell, are an Emerald, and a Topaz. These channel the Aether for Wind and Earth more easily, giving the Carbuncle their aspects." She puts one away, then pulls her Grimoire from her belt, opening it to a double-page Geometry. "Power of Earth, Heed my call. I summon thee into this gemstone and by my contract, bind a measure of thy power to my will. I summon thee, Carbuncle!" Aether flows through her, and with a quick flick of her wrist into the open area of her laboratory. Before the gem even gets close to reaching the ground, a golden form coaleases around it, and an identical, save for the colour, creature from before appears, bounding a moment before coiling around the Miqo'te's legs, then peering curiously up at Mitsu.
Mitsu Mirage	"Sounds about right." she nods, "Elezen? Elf people right? And Lalafell sound like you could punt them..." she snrks at this a bit and then hmms, "Is it easy to learn how to summon it?" she questions, watching the summoning process. When the yellow Carbie comes to appearance, MItsu drops to her knees and looks at it curiously... "Well you're just as cute as the Blue one.." she nods, "Yep, adorable!"
