Reize Seatlan      The atmosphere is rather creepy. The dead are popular here. Skeletons, moving lumbering dead are those that reside in this place. Despite of the cavern's creepiness, its popularity is due to the creatures and people hidden away that can be revived.

In this dark cavern, there have been signs of battle. It is only a moment ago that a few skeletons shudder and clatter on the ground, losing the fuel that reanimate them. If for a few moments.

Panting, the only person within the cavern so far is a young boy with a long, yellow scarf. The young teenager is in a fighting stance, holding on a torch. He coughs, gritting his teeth while he looks ahead. "Guh." He glances to the left and then the right.

"This place... where am I?" He lifts his arm up, using the flame of the torch to give him a better look ahead.
Lin Having received some input from tracking services about a young man who might be wandering into a cave full of ZOMBIES, Karal Rei Lin did the crazy thing and went in after him. Her footsteps echo weirdly in the dark, but she's carrying her own blazing torch in one hand while her rests on the hilt of her sheathed sword.

"Nowhere good, from what I hear. Dangerous places, caves like these. Might never get out of them if you go too far in!"
Duet Fortuna     Why is Duet here? Actually she just heard the broadband chatter and... made her way here. How did she get here so quickly? That's another question, and another story, for another time.

The masked young woman is in her adventuring kit today. Light leather armor under a worn but durable travel cloak, all in earthen tones. Pretty... drab, compared to her usual stuff. She's acquired a normal, mundane blade in the interim between her last adventure and trying to get a nicer one. That blade has seen some use, as evidenced by it being... out right now. The girl lands lightly nearby after a leap and considers... Karal isn't known to her. Then again, Reize shouldn't be either. "I'm not sure how anyone could get this lost. Did you need some help?"
Kyle Katarn     Ze FOARCE is what leads Kyle to where Reize has wound up. It's a mysterious thing that lets him track people down, for the most part, and he leaps from an outcropping before approaching the boy in the scarf. "Something nasty, I can sense it from here. This place isn't the cavern of death for nothing." He nods to Lin, before focusing on the surrounding area. His hand's close to his blaster pistol, but otherwise he isn't on full alert yet. That's for when the zombies INEVITABLY show up.

Duet is glanced at warily, but then again Kyle's surrounded by strangers here. Best he can do is get a brief once over from these people with the Force, and with what his eyes can tell him.
Alden For once, the digimon was in an area for unrelated reasons!. In a rather... dangerous move perhaps, apparently he was determined to test if what digimon called 'holy' was actually able to affect evil things from other worlds... why?, it might come in handy sometime!. In any case, at least he was being cautious about it, donning one of his strongest forms as he wandered, followed by a small humanoid robot. "Ok, let's try this thing." he mumbles, as he spots some skeletons.

The Shinki does something with a large handheld device, adn a massive brush of all things appears in the weregarurumon's hands! "Talisman of Light!" he calls outloud, and draws what is a somewhat sloppy, but still readable symbol in the air, which fills the room with white energy!. It seems to work, the skeleton collapsing into a pile once again (and likely lighting the section of the cavern quite brightly!.
Reize Seatlan      Brows knitted, Reize's frown stirs as he looks ahead. He holds the torch out a little longer. What catches his attention is not one voice, but a couple more that pop in from behind. Considering how tense the atmosphere is, Reize quickly whips his head out to get a quick glance at the source and perhaps act quickly based on that glance.

It looks like it is not just the taller girl that shows up. There is also a masked figure who is approaching. And someone else! Reize's eyes widen at the presence of a band of people. "Ooooi!" He gives a cheerful smile, "I didn't expect to get this much of a response!" And it is not long that Reize creens his head back to notice the bright flash. Quick to shield his eyes, the boy grimaces. "Guh!" It is soon that the energy washes over Reize and the rest of the room.

... Once everything falls back to silence, Reize glances back towards the source, he notes the wolf-like creature with a curious look. He looks ahead and then back at the group.

"Thanks for coming! Oh, I'm Reize Seatlan!" With his chest thrusted up, he places a thumb to his chest. "... an explorer and an adventurer!"
Duet Fortuna     Duet's presence shows up oddly to the Force these days. A latent power, perhaps with a roiling of emotions beneath. Fortunatly she no olonger screams evil.

"Ah... hello, Reize." Duet sheaths her sword for now. "About the same for me. Duet Fortuna. I'm an amatuer Binder and adventurer. This place isn't too safe, though. We should look for a way out." The others are given passing nods of introduction.
Lin "K-.. Karal Rei Lin!" The redhead's shocked by Reize's cheery mood despite being surrounded by... all kinds of strange and worrisome things. She glances around, particularly boggly at the Digimon, but the others showing up ALSO have her weirding out. WHAT THE HECK where'd everyone else come from all so suddenly?! Uhhhh....

"Martial artist and mercenary 'n... 'n didn't you hear me say going deep in here's a bad idea?!"
Kyle Katarn     "Kyle Katarn, Union and New Republic." He's pretty forthcoming with that, and he gives a brief once over with everybody. Duet's an enigma, but for the moment reliable. Reize is a hero at heart with some sort of inner power with that amulet of his. Lin's a super sun spirit person, by the looks of things. And to top it off, Alden's some kind of digital creature, weird but Kyle can work with that even if he seems to sense Alden less like a living thing and more like a construct.

"So, are we heading in or not? MIght wanna hurry before the locals decide on what to do with us. Our prospects of making nice with them seem pretty low, to be honest."
Alden Alden seems surprised to hear other voices, one might think someone with enhanced senses might actually learn to pay attention to them!. Still, he keeps his composture somewhat, and turns towards Reize adn the others, twitching his tail and omving closer, "Heya." he says, "I'm Alden... no fancy title unfortunately." he says, before pointing to the cat eared/tailed shinki, "This is Katze." he adds, while said Shinki bowed cutely. "Nice to meet you all."
Reize Seatlan      After Reize introduces himself, he listens in for the others as they identify themselves. First is Duet Fortuna, a masked individual. He greets the woman with just that cheerful smile, but his glance soon follows the others. Karal, Kyle, and Alden following suit earns a bright smile. "Pleased to meet you all!" He glances over at the shinki, "You too, Katze!" With the introductions done, it is back to the awareness of the atmosphere. "Hrm.. looking for a way out... I suppose that should be a good idea."

The eerie atmosphere grows thicker as the light released earlier finally subsides. Although Alden's efforts did a good job wiping the undead clean, it is not something that his power can permanently fix. This is the Lion's Den of the undead. The boneyard, filled with deceased beasts and people, is spreaded everywhere.

A silent moan and grumble fill the air, likely from further ahead within the cavern. In fact, further ahead of this tomb is where the surface becomes flatter. While the entrance had been filled with decorations, it is deeper that any distinctive construction of the cavern subsides into a flat, empty surface.

He glances over towards the others, offering a frown. "Yeah, perhaps we should go."

The entrance, however, is met with a bit of adversity. Where the mist started to form once more, the undead began rising again, just as they had fallen. The skeletons of not only the people rise, but the animals. Those creatures let out a clattering bellow in the air.

    They don't look friendly.
Kyle Katarn     "Oh boy, definitely not a good idea to stick around." Kyle decides, drawing his blaster before immediately firing a blast to one of the closer undead, the weapon kicking in his hand more than most handguns would. One might assume he cut down a much larger rifle and retrofitted it to be more holster-friendly, if they took a good look at the Bryar.
Lin "See--" Lin doesn't get much chance to finish what she wants to say, because the EERIE sensation of cloying darkness behind her gets the redhead whirling about to face the rising dead. "... Tschh... what the HELL...?!" Who the heck's ever heard of a WALKING SKELETON? She's seen ZOMBIES but SKELETONS?! "... How's that even supposed to be dangerous? Thing can't have much weight to strike with..." She's... surprisingly not too bothered by the sksleton. After all...

It doesn't smell like rotting meat, it's not a heck of a lot of body horror, and it's just not at all what she was expecting.

Of course, she drops the torch now. There's PLENTY of light. But before it's even hit the ground...

In the instants between instants she grips her weapon's scabbard with one hand, the other closing about the grip. WIND howls through the cave as an almost sadistic grin of TRIUMPH shines across Lin's face. WHOOOOOOOSH.

A flash of steel's traced in the air, lasting no longer than it takes to blink. Lin's left behind a skeleton, crouching, her weapon already half-sheathed and still being slid back into place. Once it finally comes to a halt with a final *click*...

The skeleton just nearby topples forward. Or at least the top half of it does, only to promptly fall to bits and pieces.

"Let us PASS!!" She shout-snarls at the remaining dead as though through sheer furious spirit she hopes to drive them back.
Duet Fortuna     "Hmn." Duet turns toward the rising undead and sighs. "I suppose it's too much to ask that they'll listen. All right, let's just get out of here. I dislike lingering around the dead, myself. They're cold and tend to have an outdated sense of fashion and only use dad jokes."

That may have been an attempt to lighten the mood, but Duet's sense of humor appears to be a little off. She does have a plan though! Even if that plan involves pulling out the engraved Colt and firing off a shot at any undead that gets too close, the blessed bullets hopefully providing a little extra kick.
Alden Alden smiles to Reize, offering even a little bow, while the Shinki runs to perch on Reize's shoulder. Of course, any further friendly interactino is cut short by the undead!. He lets out a soft yip, mostly out of surprise, and moves to stand in front of the others, cracking his knuckles. He watches Kyle blast at them, and then Karal's amazing swordplay!. He really has to learn how to use a weapon!. Still, he decides he won't be left behind, and with a growl he charges forward. He attacks quickly, one moment, his claws are glowing with crimson energy, the next, he claws at the air in front of him, creating a large X shaped projectile, that rushes forward and slams into the undead, it's not so much an explosive attack as just a powerful impact, likely shoving back and breaking the undead in front of him.
Reize Seatlan      The undead rise.

Reize's eyes widen as he draws his boomerang with one hand, holding the torch in the other. His body posture takes a more defensive state as he holds the boomerangs in a forearm grip. He bounces over from left to right, readying himself.

As Kyle takes off to fire at the skeletons, they are caught under blast by the energy beam. The beams sizzle against the chest ribcage of the skeleton, forcing its body to sizzle away and it collapses to the ground. The other skeletons are already on the move, seeking to hone in on the others.

    STAAAAAAAYYYYYY. NEWW.... HOOOOMEEEEE...

As Alden rushes in towards the set of the undead, some of them are caught by the X-shaped crimson energy that washes a few of the undead against one of the rough walls. This forces the skeletons to collapse.

However, more of them are lurking in. The beasts are rising just as well. Zombies lurch, the skeletal humanoid and bipedal creatures stalk forward.

.... That is, until Karal summons forth her furious spirit. There is a strange compelling feeling that spreads through the entire cavern.

The skeletons and the zombies shudder, collapsing completely.

    GOOOOO AWAAAYYYY.. LEEEAAVEE USS ALOOONNEEEE....

It looks like Reize did not have to do any fighting, given that Karal maanged to drive them all away. "...Uhh..." Pause.

    "What's a dad joke?"
Kyle Katarn     Kyle is about to take another shot before he sees Lin do /something/, summoning that spirit seems to rout the horde almost instantly. The undead just fold like cards, flopping onto the ground without any spirits leaving their shells.

"Huh." is all he has to say, before he holsters his blaster pistol. "Okay, we're not taking our chances with these ghosts any longer. Time to move, kiddos." He says with mock-cheer, before clapping Reize on the shoulder. "You'll find out when you're older, now let's leg it." That comment from Duet does cause Kyle to laugh briefly, with the current threat gone. Mysterious lady, but she's got a wicked sense of humor.
Duet Fortuna     "Ah, Exalts," Duet mutters to herself, too quiet for many to hear. She isn't going to try to make a guess on the type, but it's fairly obvious to her now that Karal is something like that. Holstering the pistol, she speaks up more loudly, "All right, Reize, was it? You'll have to pardon me, I'm trash with remembering names. I agree with Kyle, let's get while the getting is good."
Alden Alden is clearly surprised at that, but he is not one to question when things seem to work out!. He returns to the others and tilts his head a bit, "I don't know what was that, but it was awesome." he says softly, tail wagging, "Perhaps we should go away before they change their mind?" he adds to Kyle's words.
Lin Well, going by the way Lin looks left and right while both her hands grip her sheathed weapon tightly, this odd occurence was something she expected to happen.

Fact of the matter is... it isn't. She's just as surprised at the dead skittering away in terror as the others.

But she's sure not showing it. Still scowling angrily she just starts tromping towards the cave entrance. But first... she gestures at her fallen torch, as if beckoning. Immediately it FLIES THROUGH THE AIR and straight into her grasp, still alight. She only needs one hand to tuck her weapon back into her belt.

"GET. OUT of here!" Because she's certainly tromping towards the exit!
Reize Seatlan      There is a great deal of confuson on Reize's face, especially considering that what was originally a massive threat for them all just collapsed into a heap of bodies. And now they want them all to leave. It doesn't look like there are signs of the creatures coming back. Something spooked them.

    "Whoa.."

Once clipped over the shoulder, Reize looks at the older male with a curious tilt of his head. "Okay!" Guess it'll be years before he finds out what dad-jokes are. Nevertheless, Reize follows after the group. "Right, right! I'm coming!"

The exit is fairly easy to get to. It was the way that everyone came from that the undead had previously attempted to block off. It's all in the clear for the group to exit out of the undead boneyard.
