Moonlit Saber After hearing Berserker talking on the radio over the last week or so, Saber decided it was time to reach out again. To that end, she sent her allyrival an invitation to join her for lunch. There are some restaurants who refuse to serve Sabers at all, but she's had good luck at this location. Besides, her Master is the one who's paying.
Frankenstein     It's been a while since she's seen her Allyrival, Saber. She was so silent on the radio and her Master never mentioned her after that meeting before, but when the invite for lunch is given, she tilts her head and nods, heading towards the indicated location, after making sure that electronics were taken care of to prevent power wasting. True, most places didn't serve Servants, but the Bar and Grill was pretty nice... and in addition, her Master wasn't paying.

She moves into the Bar and takes a look around, heading towards the location of the Saber-class Servant. Even if she couldn't see her, jsut the presence of a Servant is enough to guide her, and soon enough, she arrives nearby. "Saber..." she groans out, "Are... you well?"
Moonlit Saber It's a weird feeling, knowing another Servant from her Grail War is near but also knowing that there's no need to fight. The instinct is there, even if she knows there's no need.

As the other Servant approaches, Saber glances up and offers a soft smile. "Come sit, Berserker. Yes, I am doing fine... I hope you are as well?" She gestures at a seat and pushes a menu toward Berserker, then is silent for a few moments, looking like she wants to say something.... Finally, Saber takes a breath. "We are allies now, Berserker, so... if there is anything bothering you, then I do not mind listening to your worries."
Frankenstein     That odd feeling, a Servant nearby, the instinct to smash her with the Bridal Chest there and willing, but the fact that she is allied with her in the Union... it's a strange feeling.

The offer to sit is taken and she moves to sit across from Saber. "I... am well." she nods, "I... was taken on... a flight with Bahamut... to Home." the Berserker picks up the offered menu and hmms, looking over it. "Can I... have one of... everything?" she questions, giving a curious look to the Saber across from her. Though, when the mention of anything bothering her... she gives a nod, "I... was told..." she pauses, "By my master that I.. might not be able... to get my wish from the Grail..."
Kazusa Ujikane     "Well, we still don't know anything like that yet," comes a surprisingly cheerful voice carrying a tray of appetizers. Someone couldn't wait. "I heard all that stuff about a corrupt grail or whatever, but that's not every world. We won't know until we win it, right?" Kazusa slides into a seat next to Saber, notably setting the tray between the two of them so they can both go at it. "If it's all evil or whatever, we'll just trash it. If it's not? Well, we'll figure something out~! I've already got my wish just by having a Servant."
Moonlit Saber "You flew with... he is a dragon, correct? It must have been interesting." Saber doesn't so much as blink at the question, though she does glance toward her Master. If Kazusa is paying, then there shouldn't be a problem! Saber just doesn't like to actually -say- it. Even to an ally, best not to give anything away.

Saber wrinkles her nose slightly. "Kazusa is correct. There are already some differences between our Grail and the others, so making an assumption that a wish will not be granted is defeatist. Besides, did we not give ourselves to the Grail for a chance at getting our wish?" She wastes no time in reaching for some food as soon as it's put down, though she does wait before taking a bite. "I will not ask what your wish is, but... I have heard you speak on the Union frequencies. You sound lonely."
Frankenstein     Lonely. That's one way to put it. She looks down at the table, even her face paints the picture. "Yes. It was interesting." she slowly speaks, "She said... a perfect being would not be able to be made..." she gives a bit of a sigh, "But... then..." she shakes her head, "The other Saber... Gawain... mentioned... siblings." she thinks a moment, shaking her head before reaching for the placed food.. if allowed.

She looks between the two, thinking a moment, "It's... possible for the grail... to be evil?" she thinks, back to Spira, she was asked to dispatch fiends, and fiends were evil... so.. "So the grail... could be a fiend..."
Kazusa Ujikane     Kazusa digs in with speed and gusto, stuffing her face without fail or falter. And somehow, communicating perfectly, in that way only teenagers can. "There's been worlds where it was full of corruption, or something like that. Not evil itself, but full of evil... stuff. People spent a lot of time warning us about that stuff." Hmph. "But there's been at least one world where it wasn't corrupted, so there's no way of knowing without getting it to show up. And anyway, who needs a perfect being? Perfect is boring. It's the imperfect parts that make people interesting!" ...she's almost certainly learned that from a manga of some sort, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
Moonlit Saber "Nobody is perfect, Berserker." Saber tilts her head slightly as she begins to eat. She seems in no rush, but she -is- a Saber, after all... and one with an abnormally high prana consumption, even for her class. That food is going to disappear before long. "Siblings?" Of course, her manners insist she only talk in between chewing and swallowing, not with her mouth full. "Berserker, I..." Offering a faint smile, she reaches over the table to touch the other Servant's hand. "I understand more than you know about being lonely. But we are among friends. Us... and the Union as well. We are not completely alone." Hand is withdrawn, and she glances aside at Kazusa. "Make certain you chew, Master..."

As she reaches for some more for herself, Saber makes a face. "It was offputting to have everyone immediately assume our Grail is corrupted and try to tell us to deny the purpose we are risking our lives for. I choose to remain optimistic for now. And if something bad happens... we have friends to help deal with it."
Frankenstein     Berserker looks curiously at Kazusa, how can one girl stuff her face AND communicate with ease. She shakes her head before she turns towards Saber. That faint smile gets her and then the hand upon her own. "You do?" she questions, a sound of uncertanty escaping her mouth, her head turns to continue to see Kazusa's nomming, then back towards Saber. "But you.. may have siblings... people you care about... your ... former lives..." she gives a low moan, an upset one...

She reaches for some food with the free hand and nnoms it for a moment, swallowing and turning back.. "I'm... I'm unsure." she whispers, "But... I want to continue to try, to see if... if my wish can.. come true..." she clutches Saber's hand a bit tightly, "But.. .despite... you saying we.. are not alone..." she shakes her head, "I am alone..."
Moonlit Saber "Mmm. I do understand." Saber pauses, more for thought than to eat, but the latter does help give her an excuse not to say anything for a short time as she chews. Once she swallows, she lifts a hand to brush a few strands of silver hair from her face. "I know we are rivals for the Grail's wish, but I do wish you luck in it... just know that I will not... I cannot back down either." For a brief moment, her face grows stern, but that expression melts soon enough.

"You are both alone and not alone. I understand what you mean, Berserker. I..." She pauses, pressing her lips together. "Just trust me that I understand your feelings. And that I think.... I would like to be your friend."
Frankenstein     Berserker lifts her head at Saber, then when the grail is mentioned again, she frowns. "We are... but yet we are here..." a pause, "eating... together... with your Master." she pauses again, Ainsley hasn't been too active lately.. jsut holed up doing who knows what in her area. She looks away again at that thought... "But my Master could not come." she clutches the table a bit, then looks at the stern expression. "You... do not want to fight... me for the Grail... do you?"

She lets the question linger a bit, but when Saber continues, she blinks. Friendship? With another Servant? Was this thing truely possible? It's true that she's out eating with the Saber and her Master... and they don't look to have made plans for anything involving her... but.. "I... need time to... think." she comments, pulling away just a bit. "Master could not be here... she hasn't been out of one of her rooms." another pause, "You.. have your Master... you aren't... alone."
Moonlit Saber "Do I want to fight you?" Saber considers this for a moment, looking straight at Berserker. "I would like to not have to, even if we both want the same thing. That is, at least, far enough in the future that we should not worry about it for now." Indeed, Saber really doesn't want to think of what might happen if she and Berserker are the last ones left.

"Of course." Saber gives the other Servant a firm nod. "It involves your Master as well, so you should discuss it with her. But... it is as I said. We are both alone... and not alone. It is all in how you look at things."
