Fayt Ravus     IT's a normal Day at the Dragon's Nest, Ships fill the sky overhead while employees scurry around bellow, moving cargo and supplies, doing repairs. other still handle logistics in an office building nearby, handling paperwork, phone calls...

In his office, Fayt sits at his desk, double checking some reports. overall, a perfectly normal day.
Kazuko Kawakami      Kazuko's having a fairly.. Well, odd day to say the least. Going to class instead of using Union work as an excuse, not having to hide from anyone on the way back home, showing up at the Dragon's Nest to do some sort of job interview...

At least that last bit could be interesting. Arriving at Fayt's office, the martial artist clears her throat before knocking and speaking up in her not-at-all restrained tone of voice. "Hi, Mister Fayt? Are you in there? I'm here for the job thing!"

     How eloquent.
Fayt Ravus     Fayt looks up at the sound of someone knocking. "Hmm... Ah, come in please."

Kazuko might be a bit surprised by what she sees inside the office. Most would probably expect some sort of obvious business tycoon, some sharp, middle aged or older person, grayed and hardened by years of experience. Instead, sitting at the desk is a short, scrawny person with pale blue hair.

not exactly the most imposing of figures.
Kazuko Kawakami      Stepping into Fayt's office with a determined look in her face, Kazuko looks both surprised at her potential employer's appearance and not surprised at all. Was she expecting a surprise or not? Either way, she's hurries to his desk and offers a quick bow.

She even has her naginata with her. Thankfully, she's got enough sense to leave it by the door against the wall, and it's the blunted one so as to avoid scratching up the decor. "Hi! Um. Again. So, what do you need me to do?" She's certainly eager to show off her moves, but is that going to be enough?
Fayt Ravus     "So you wanted to work as a guard, right?" Fayt nods. "Well, your job would be to follow some of my ships on their runs, and help fend off any attacks that might happen."

There's a pause before he adds. "Might happen, I try to avoid known danger zones where I can help it. With some luck you won't be seeing much action but well.." He sighs. "I can't avoid everything, and as a Union member, the Feds like taking shots at my ship whenever they get a chance."
Kazuko Kawakami      "Mhm! I've been helping out with stuff here and there, but doing more official work should help me get stronger." It's rather clear what Kazuko's thinking in seeking this job, although she certainly looks excited about the prospect of defending a spaceship, too. She listens closely as Fayt speaks, nodding here and there before humming softly once he finishes.

"Hmhm... That works just fine with me. It'll be a good chance to show them that we're not afraid of bullies!" So straightforward. She pauses, then giggles bashfully after a moment. "Well, I can't fight in space or whatever, but... I can fight them if they try boarding!"
Fayt Ravus     Fayt nods again. "Well, I'll admit I'm not the best job if you're looking for combat training. Again, if things go well you won't be seeing much action. That said, if you're willing to fight off boarding parties, that will do. I'm willing to pay a bit extra if you can also help with loading and unloading cargo."

Fayt smiles as he finishes explaining. "That's more or less it. It's not a complicated job, outside of fighting you won't have to worry about dealing with clients or anything like that. Still, do you have any questions?"
Kazuko Kawakami      "If things go well. But you always have to be ready for the worst!" Kazuko, ever prepared, digs into her pockets with both hands and whips out two grip trainers before raising her foot to show off the thick weight band worn around her ankle. "Even if nothing comes by, I'll be ready. And not complicated works great for me~"

She sounds oddly proud about that last part. She hums again as she considers what she could ask, putting her leg down and working on those grip trainers idly. "I don't think so... I can definitely help with the loading and unloading, sure. Um... But I won't have to fly anything, right? Becuase I don't even have a driving license yet, but..." Her eyes light up just a bit. "Flying a spaceship would be really cool, too..."
Fayt Ravus Fayt glances at the training weights as Kazuko shows them off. "No, you wouldn't need to fly the ship. I hire dedicated pilots for that." He gets a slightly embarrassed look on his face as Kazuko lights up at the prospect of flying. "Erm... While getting to know the pilots is a good thing, I'd have to ask that you please not bother them while they're working. They need to focus."
Kazuko Kawakami      "Aw, okay. I won't bother 'em during the flight, then." Kazuko giggles again, still sounding just a little embarassed at that initial excitement. Not that she's not any less excited about the job, though, since... Space battles! "I'm ready to start whenever, then, Mister Fayt. You're not gonna regret this!"
Fayt Ravus     "Thank you." Fayt replies. "I'll be sure to let you know when there's a shipment that needs a guard. As You also work for the Union Military as an ally I can understand if you can't take an assignment with my company for whatever reason. For now you're free to go unless there's something else you wanted." There's a pause as he seems to remember something. "Oh, and just Fayt is fine."
Kazuko Kawakami      "Thanks for having me~" Kazuko dips into a quick bow to Fayt before putting those grip trainers away. "Mm.. I don't think there's anything else. I'll ask you later if I think of anything, Fayt." At least she's learning! As she turns to leave, however, Kazuko stops before offering him the best salute she can manage and speaking in oddly stilted English. "Kawakami Kazuko, (at your serve!) Good night!" And with that, she grabs her naginata and takes her leave with that same excited grin on her face.
