Scene #3866: Social Between Friends

Nightblind	"Are you /sure/ this is the place? No one's been up here for years... not that I can recall, anyway." the cab driver said, and Ella just quietly handed over her card to pay. "I'm sure. Thank you. I've received an invitation." Ella gave a smile, and gingerly lets herself out. Mac couldn't have made the trip... and with it being a monday, her trusted driver was off -- so it left Ella with taking the warp gate, a cab -- and Dakota. Dakota seems eager to be out of the cab, hsaking off his coat as he waits for Ella to take a hold of the harness, and begint o make their way carefully past the gate. "Let's hope they find us before we lose the drive way, huh Dakota?"
Terry McGinnis	Gotham City, home of the caped creusader known as Batman, The Dark Knight. Who is absent this evening due to being forced into taking a break. Terry is not happy with this and he is stating that towards Maxine Gibson, or Max as she is called by everyone... "Terry, you listen to me." she starts. "You need a break, or your gonna kill yourself," she mentions to him. "Max, I am fine," Terry says to her. "I do not need a..." and he ducks as Max throws something at him. "Bruce is gonna be mad," he comments as he looks over the edge of the platform he is standing on in the Batcave. "I'll tell him about it. But you need a break. When was the last tiem you had fun?" she asks him as Terry thinks. "See, you cannot remember. Why I took the liberty of inviting a friend here," she mentions as Terry blinks. "Max, what did you do?" he asks her. ,"Do not worry about it. You get upstairs and get cleaned up. I already talked to Alfred, and he has some food for you. Now git, or I'll put on the sut and carry you up those stairs." and she places a hand on the suit. Muttering, Terry sighs, "Fine, but I'll get you back Max," he mentions as he starts to walk up the stairs. "Yea, over my dead body," she says to him as he exits the Batcave and than looks over her shoulder at Brucd hiding in the shadows. "He's gonna be mad at us," she states to him. Looking, Bruce smiles, "He'll be fine. Besides he does not need to turn out like me," he comments as he walks over to the Batcomputer. "Besides, the guest has arrived," Bruce says to Max as he looks at the monitor. Walking up the stairs and through the cloak door, Terry sighs, "Its not like I have anything to do," he mutters as he wonders if he should have done more than what he has for his friends. Walking to his room, he changes and takes a shower, before walkign out, "Why was this layed out?" he asks himself as he looks at the casual outfit. Shrugging he walks down the steps and looks as he sees lights in the entry way and blinks, "Ok...." he states as he heads to the door and spots a taxi cab and someone getting out. BLinking, he opens the door and walks out, "Hello, can I...." he says as he stops and sees who it is and blinks. "Hello," he states to Ella as he smiles. "How are you doing?" he asks her as he walks over towards her.
Nightblind	"Help me? Yes. Who's bright idea was it to invite the blind girl to the place with the huge driveway? The cabbie didn't even want to come /that/ close." Ella replies in exasperation. "All I got was an E-mail saying to arrive soon because you were in danger." she reflects, "Though what danger? I don't know because unlike some people, I don't /have/ swank vehicles when I go to work!" she gives a dry smile.
Terry McGinnis	Terry McGinnis blinks and looks at her, "Max," he says as he looks at the house and than back at Ella, "I think Max was trying to get me to take a break from being Batman, school at Beacon and not having a life," he says to her as he walks over. "Lets get inside," he says as he takes her hand. "Plus, we can enjoy an evenign of just friends, which I think what Max had in mind," he mentions. Down in the Batcave, Bruce and Max look at each other, "If this works, I'll pay you for that device I tossed at Terry," she says to Bruce. "Its ok, I'll take it out of your check," he comments. Max looks, "Wait, I get paid...." she asks as Bruce smiles and says nothing.
Nightblind	"I see." Ella replies flatly, and she lets Terry take her hand, still holding onto Dakota's harness. "SO on top of studying for your doctorate and protecting a city, you're attending monster-hunting school huh?" She gives a slight smile as she lets Terry lead her in. "You're making me look bad. I've just been moping and busting human trafficking rings. "
Terry McGinnis	Terry McGinnis chuckles, "Well, your good at it," he says to her with a look. "I will always make time for people," he says to her. "Plus I think Mac wants to take the Batsuit apart or try it on or both," and he smiles. "Plus, its good to see you," he adds.
Nightblind	"It's all well and good to make time for people," Ella begins as she's lead around, "but don't forget to take time for yourself too. You've only got two ends of the candle to burn, Terry." Ella replies... and she blinks. "How does /Bruce/ feel about the idea of letting someone take apart the batsuit? Not that I don't trust Mac with my life ---" because, really, she does, "... but someone else's work?"
