Karian Icefang     A few days have passed since the Tyranids tried to take out the poor city of Raxanor. Since that day, there have been constant celebrations and prayers of elation sent to the Emperor of Man and his Space Marines. While the civilians believed the Tyranids were gone, the more astute of the local Imperial Guard forces knew better. As did the other defenders, the Space Wolves. They were there in the thick of the fighting, and knew a lone fact. Tyranids almost never run like they did. Karian put out a call, asking for more aid. He knew this couldn't be over, not by a long shot.
"My lord, please forgive me but...I truely believe the threat is over. While we are grateful for your continued defending, you can leave." said Augutus Palth, the planetary governer. "With all due respect Governer, your wrong. In your heart, you know that." replied Karian. He was going to say more, but turned to leave. Diplomacy wasn't his strong suit. So, he went for the warp gate, still muttering about the 'idiocy of beurocrats'.
Kirito     Kirito heard the call... and so he came to come aid his ally. The Space Wolves are way too hardcore for his tastes in some ways. Heck. The entire Imperium - and most of his experiences in this entire region were enough to have him wanting to swear off the place.

But he's just not the kind of guy to abandon an ally asking for help.

Even if this place is utterly terrifying.

he's doing a pretty good job of hiding how anxious he is under a rather fierce and serious gaze. None of his usual mischief and cheer.

The black-clad Spriggan's waiting by the warp gate when Karian arrives, arms folded and a fierce expression on his face. "Meeting didn't go well?" Asks the boy who's perhaps more aware of how ridiculous bureaucracy can be than his years can explain.
Maya Maya is arriving on the request of Karian Icefang, hopefully the locals would consider the blue haired woman to be just another Pysker. She's had a long history of dealing with the Imperium. It's a nightmareish place yet what the humans of that world face nightmares. The people should not suffer the fate ot things like Tyranids or worse. Maya didn't take long she was clad in leather and metal armor looking all the world to be a underhive ganger but her weapons might dispell that, there's a sinmple rifle of some sort across her back, but at her hip? Is an Ornate bolter, carrying several prayer seals and it's be /very/ well cared for from the looks of it, also here and there are pouches on her outfit likely containing more bolter rounds. She looks out and her eyes look to the Governer and the wolf Lord.

"Wolf Lord Icefang. I have fought the Tyranids before we're not done. If they openly landed it likely means they have vanguard creatures lurking and ... likely genestealers which means there's likely a cult on the planet, which will need to be rooted out. The Union medical centers may be able to do something for some of the infected but I understand we have to put the world first."

Maya is all business today, there were few things in the multivese that could incite a lot of fear in Maya from them just existing, things like the nids? They did, she understood what they could do to the living sections of her planet.

"Beurocrats I suspect...or worse."
Alden      Alden arrived after hearing the call as well, arriving not too long after Kirito did, the gabumon looking around nervously for a few moments. His last experience in this area made him a little edgy, and he is not quite as good as Kirito in hiding it. He hovers near the familiar faces, this time the Spriggan, "Hey Kirito." he greets softly.

Before he can say anything else, he hears Maya and turns his attention towards her, "Cult?" he asks softly, "You mean people are helping those things?". he asks softly.
Bahamut      As the others talk, there is a roar from overhead followed by the formation of a few runed spellcircles high in the sky. Then, something large and metallic dives toward them, crashing through them like glass. It dives down at the group, likely looking like some form of attack. But, it is coming down a short distance away. As it gets nearer, it is obviously a dragon diving at full speed toward the ground. At the last possible moment it spreads its wings and arrests its fall just enough to land without injuring itself. The landing sends a rumble through the ground before the dragon stands tall on two legs and roars again while crossing his arms over his chest.

He grins after that, then starts toward the group. He raises a hand as he approaches. "Greetings, comrades. Forgive my grand entrance. I know no others." he says in a deep, rumbling voice. "I am Bahamut, King of Spiran Dragons and Aeon of Bevelle. I am here to answer the call for defenders."
O'Mont're Tyr It turns out that when you make an open call for help against Tyranids, sometimes you get people you didn't expect.

Men start to march out of the warp gate in parade formation, a group four troopers wide and five deep. They're dressed in black and grey fatigues, cut in a way that lies somewhere between Imperial Guard and Navy uniform standards. Each soldier is wearing something like carapace armor and carrying a lasgun, and each one bears the Imperial aquila on their weapons, but with a similar yet distinct emblem stenciled on their armor: a skull in a wreath, with the two-headed eagle behind it.

The sigil of the Rogue Traders.

The troops split into two groups of ten, standing at attention on either side of the warp gate. Two more figures stride out of it: one, a familiar and welcome sight to some, a man with a thick grey beard and thinning grey hair, clad in white robes and bearing an enormous amulet in the shape of the icon of the Imperial Creed. He has an even larger two-handed chainsword slung over his shoulder and across his back. His eyes have the fire of zeal in them, and his expression is grim and determined.

The other isn't human at all. Humanoid but blue-skinned and hooved, the Tau accompanying the Imperial priest wears an ornately-decorated military greatcoat, bearing the Imperial aquila in shining gold with smaller adornments of faith and rank scattered around it. His expression is unreadable, though his red-colored eyes scan the horizon almost expectantly.

"Captain Hexam of the Callidus Amicae, Lord of his House, bearer of the Warrant of Trade and charged with spreading His Divine Majesty's influence to the darkest reaches of the galaxy and beyond, bids you greetings," the Tau declares in slightly sibilant High Gothic. Tyr turns his head to regard those gathered, and focuses on the Wolf Lord among them in particular.

"I am called Commander Deathgaze," he says, in more normal but still rather official-sounding tones. "I have been charged with the investigation of the Tyranid threat, and instructed to offer any assistance I deem necessary, should it remain."
Karian Icefang     Karian nods to everyone, then at the grand enterance his hand instinctually flew to his bolt pistol, an action shared by his wolfguard. But as they see the form of an ally, they lower their arms. Then came another shock in the form of the rogue trader, and a sanctioned Xeno at that. "Can't say I've faced Tau before on either side of the battlefield. Prove your worth and we have no issue."Karian says, distrust in his voice, despite the mark. Then he turns to Maya "You may be right, Maya. The planetary governer seems convinced the threat is over, and that our preseance is no longer needed. He does not understand the nature of the threat." He then looks out to where the battle took place. He clenches his hand into a fist, thinking. "We have to push out into the lands where they ran. Find any birthing chambers on-planet and destroy them." He can smell the fear from alden, and offers a kind smile to him. "You don't need to fear, friend. Stand with us, and our enemy will fear you."
With that said, a contingent of Imperial Guard make their way to the wolf lord and heroes. "My lord...we wish to go with you. Our commander also doesn't think this is over. What are your orders?" Karian nods to him simply. "Hold the line at the city, and tell your commander to call his superiors. If I'm right...we'll need more firepower." The guardsman runs off, saluting the heroes. "Right....into the unknown." He says, walking to the waiting battlefield of a few days past, and the lands beyond, a sinister looking terrain flanked with mountains.
Maya Maya says "They infect people, their wills are not their own and they will give birth to hybrid children."

Maya looks legitly sad, the cultists kids /never/ had a chance and she knows it. She's got nothing more she can think on it. It's dirty business and Maya knows it. She'll save her rage for the Tyranids however, she will make this invasion be a costly failure for the hive mind. She looks to the Rogue Trader forces coming and then comes Commander Death Gaze.

F "Commander O'Mont're Tyr."

Maya actually gets his name right, it's accented but she does get it right.

"Your help and that of your troops are welcome."

She thinks for a moment and looks to the Wolflord.

"I pray that is the case."

She pauses at the Guard.

"It seems the local garrison understands the danger at least."

Memories of a long time ago of being side by side with the Blood Ravens on a world like this comes back to Maya, and one brave factory worker who had alerted both the Union and Blood Angels to the infestation before it had been too late.
Alden      Alden looks up at the large Space marine, and nods, smiling softly. "I will do my best." he says softly. He just can't help being uneasy, the monsters remidn him somewhat of the... situation that was affecting his native world.. and Maya's explanation does very little to help in that regard. "You think there is some... core... some brain.. an area where all the bugs are coming from?" he asks softly. The arrival of the other military forces oddly does not phase him too much, if anything, he feels safer seeing more soldiers willing to help!, being unaware of the complex situation and politics of the area certainly is handy at times!.

The arrival of the dragon certainly takes him by surprise, moving back quickly, half hiding behind Kirito, and the Spriggan might swear he heard a soft 'whine' coming from his direction, followed by shuffling of cards, but Alden will swear repeatedly he never made such a noise. In any event, after the shock fades, and Bahamut introduces himself, he waves towards the dragon king/god, eyes open wide, "Nice entrance." he mumbles softly, and moves a bit closer for a better look, even if he does keep a respectful distance. At least this takes his mind of his nervousness.
Kirito     With Alden around, Kirito's.. well, pretty surprised. "A-alden! This is pretty dangerous stuff you're getting into. Not much from Karian's world is... friendly." He's... JUST not sure how else to put it, really.

Although despite being surrounded by GIANT PEOPLE in POWER ARMOR, the comparatively tiny boy in black... wields only a humble sword? And it's just a hunk of metal. Nothing fancy.

Maya's anxiety is also noticed. Kirito gulps. He knows her just well enough to read the situation by her expression...

With even Deathgaze showing up, Kirito offers the others a look full of determination. "No use beating around the bush then. Let's figure out just what's up with these monsters!"
O'Mont're Tyr "Of course, Wolf Lord," Tyr says, mildly. He inclines his head slightly, and gestures towards the other man with him. Confessor-Militant Kor starts barking out orders and Emperor-bothering, and the ship's marines with them start to get moving. Deathgaze strides forward, nodding in Maya's direction. "Maya. It is good that you are here." He looks up and around again, regarding each of the others who don't look like soldiers of the Imperium with a discerning eye. What sorts of things should he expect from them?

"Is the planetary governor proving problematic?" Deathgaze asks, looking back to Karian. "I would have thought you would have the authority to overrule him."
Bahamut      Bahamut listens to all the chatter, grinning a bit as Alden compliments him, even if it may have been sarcasm. "It sounds as though everyone but the ruling body knows that the threat continues. So, it seems we should seek out this hive and destroy it before these...creatures return. I know from experience that monsters rarely simply give up. They may retreat to regroup, but they do not give up."
Karian Icefang     Karian looks back to O'Mont're Tyr. "I did. He's...stubborn." Then to alden he nods. "Aye. They operate in a form of Hive Mind. The controlling entity is above, in space. We call them Hive Fleets. I've heard the Blood Ravens were able to actually destroy one through use of poison. But in that same battle, I recall hearing the ogranisms that protect the hive mind were able to take down a strike cruiser. So direct assault is suicidal." He explains. He walks on until they were out of the city's range. "My own suspiscion is that somehow the governer is in league with the tyranids or already a spawn of the cult." He explains.
As they continue on, they would find tell-tale signs of tyranid infestation all around them. Mutated birds caw and attack each other in a furious attempt to feed. In the distance, the beginnings of capillary towers form. Yet all around the group, it would feel as if they were being watched, possibly even hunted. Further on, a guardsmen lay unmoving. He seemed to have been dead for a long time, but from this range there was no way to see what killed him.
Maya Maya gave Alden the truth as best she knew.

"Yes but the actual one isn't here, we can disrupt it locally though. You need to understand the scale of it. Still your righ there are local creatures who act as relays."

Maya's on edge, it's not hte Union and the feds have the firepower to deal with a Tyranid fleet they do. It's the damage it does before it goes down that troubles her.

"I'm glad we're going to need to work at the team. I suspect The Space Wolves are trying to play nice Commander, to not alienate the local rulers."

A Thought crosses Maya's mind but she says nothing there's no proof.

"We'd have to sneak in, yes, the fleet that the Blood Ravens and Union destroyed involved line holding while stealth teams did the killing blows. Or he has infected advisors who are feeding him false information. We're lucky the Guard here understand the threat and are willing to aid us. We'll need the man power."
Bahamut      Bahamut has spent much of his life fighting fiends, monsters from his world, but he has seen nothing like this. The creatures, the very land, twisted by these Tyranids. "I have not encountered these creatures before, but if this if what they do simply by being in an area, I cannot imagine what they do when they attack." the tall dragon says as he stomps along after Karian. The big dragon listens to Maya, then chuckles. "If stealth is needed, we are in trouble. I am almost incapable of stealth."

When he sees the fallen guardsman, Bahamut growls lightly and spreads his wings. "A single fallen guard? This could be a trap." he says, then cautiously moves forward. He keeps alert, claws bared and eyes scanning the area.
Alden Alden nods to Kirito, smiling a bit nervously, "I know Kirito." he says, rubbing the back of his head, "I... helped fight these things in the last fight..." he says quietly, "It was scary... but I am glad I was able to help... I want to help as much as I can." he tells the spriggan.

The explanation from Maya gets a few nods, even as he follows the group, "Makes sense, so they don't get more orders." he says softly. Bahamut gets another smile, his tail flicking behind him, "I'm not sure I can be that good at stealth, blue and white are kind of visible." he muses softly. As they get to the range of the guard, he shudders, "Do you feel it... something... watching us?"
Kirito     Feeling like he's being watched is nothing new to Kirito. He stops several times to look over his shoulder, tense as all get-out. His SEARCHING skill is not always so helpful out and about in the Multiverse... in Alfheim, were creatures HIDING from him he'd see their COLOR CURSORS appear even behind obstacles.

That rarely works right in the Multiverse. But on the other hand... he knows when he's being watched.

"The Tyranods are gone? ... Yeah, and I'm the King of the Fairies." He gives Maya a rather concerned look. Oh, he's feeling it.
O'Mont're Tyr Tyr keeps walking. "Mm. Causing the planetary governor distress seems a fair trade if it means the safety of the people here." He spots the body in the distance, ahead of them, and the birds fighting furiously. With a little motion, the Tau is armed, a sleek, long-barreled pistol finding its way into his hand.

Nearby, Tertius Kor continues to bellow prayers to the Emperor and castigation to the meek, cowardly and lazy. With a couple quick hand gestures from Deathgaze, the two squads with him move more cautiously, tracking movement and watching both the ground and the sky. They've got experience, that's for sure, but against Tyranids?

"Kor." Tyr looks to the older preacher. "Would you please --"

"Ha! Fear not, 'Commander,'" the white-robed man says. "The Emperor protects his faithful! You would do well to remember that!" He starts walking, moving ahead of the group and unslinging that huge chainsword with one hand. He lays the flat side of the weapon across his shoulder, clearly going up to flip the Guardsman over and see what happened to him.

Tyr watches their sides very closely. Traps are what he does. If this is one...
Karian Icefang     Karian was likewise on guard. Tyranids made a habit of setting ambushes, at least some strains did. He motioned for everyone to hold still a moment while the confessor-militant rolled the body over. At it's neck was a nasty wound, more akin to a blade then anything else. But what was in his chest was the real interesting thing. A pair of fleshy hooks were embedded there, hinting at only one strain.
But before anyone could react, the flesh hooks shot out once more for a member of the overwatching team. "Lictor!" Karian calls out, knowing this to be one of the more stealthy and ambush prone tyranid species. But that was the least of their troubles. Leaping from the mountain tops was another strain. Karian and his wolfguard were actually pinned down, and were currently being skewered. Karian curses in his native language, and the monster's reveal themselves....genestealers.
Maya Maya nods to Bahmute.

"Power such as your own will be needed Bahamut. Of that I have no doubt."

She pauses for a mnoment at the downed guardsman and she'll move in to try and keep an eye on the dead guard. If she gets close enough she will grab his tags and look for any vox or recording gear that might be on them. It might hold a clue, Maya does get her bolter out, cradling the weapon she moved forward.

"Keep alert."

Maya nods

"Kirito you have no smell, no biomass they might not even register you, keep that in mind."

She nods.

"I'll cover you while you attend to the trooper's last rites."

She thinks of her own plan.

"Get his tags, so we can track what unit he was with, and see if he has any ... Vox or recording gear on him. There might be information on them which could prove to show us what killed him."

Maya joins the other troops on overwatch, her green eyes are darting about. Her home world had giant insects which would prey on humans, she looking for signs of movment.

There's a burst of moment a cry of Lictor, Maya moves to bring up her bolter and open fire on the Genesteals as they close. The bolter roars as maya fires she yells.

"Keep them at range! They like to fight up close and watch the claws they will cut through armor!"
Bahamut      Keep them at range? That was hardly Bahamut's usual MO. He slashes at those hooks as they fly toward the overwatch team, bellows a roar of challenge to the Tyranids before he charges a spell. The air around one of the Genestealers shimmers, then explodes in a powerful ball of fire while Bahamut tries to draw attention to himself. He is used to fighting multiple opponents alone, and without knowing what the others are capable of or these creatures' abilities, he figures concentrating the creatures' efforts will give the others a chance to retaliate properly.

He just hopes his thick armored skutes and tough body will be able to weather whatever strikes they may level at him. "Take cover behind me if needed!"
Alden      Alden was a mixed bag when range and... not range were involved, fumbling into his card deck for the first remotely appropiate card around, barely looking at it before he slides it through the D-Arc's reader slot. "Digi modify!, Super evolution plugin S!". Thankfully the process is very swift, a rather short burst of light, before he finds himself transformed into his Champion/Adult form. By the look on his face the second he emerges, it is clear it was not the effect he hoped!.

Still, he wastes no time trying to help, taking note of the warning about range, simply turning towards the closest of the Tyranids, inhaling while small licks of blue fire flickered around his muzzle. Suddenly, he opens that long maw open fully, releasing a stream of blue fire that he uses to try to sweep across the frontmost bugs, "Howling Blaster!". He hopes they are flammable, or at least causes them to hesitate. As for protection, he does not stop to think about it, hoping his rather tough hide might be at least somewhat effective.
Kirito     Kirito's not seen many dead bodies in the Multiverse, but the boy steels his nerves for what the group's about to see.

    It's not enough.

"What the--" Here come the monsters! He's momentarily caught with indecision. But... Karian can handle himself. He's more worried about the other fighters. Those maybe less capable.

Yeah. Like those ones getting skewered over there.

Filled with panic and horror, the Spriggan manifests both his wings and AERIAL DRIVES without even properly taking off. A quick-snap of those black dragonfly-esque wings and a rippling shockwave sends him ZOOMING off at what ALMOST looks like mach 1 for a brief moment.

Doesn't take him long to reach the front lines and bring out that sword to cut through a handful of the creatures in one go, yelling ferociously the whole while!
O'Mont're Tyr The preacher with the huge chainsword flips the body, crouching next to it to examine it. He finds tags and removes them, but doesn't have time to search for anything else before one of the two teams gets hit. The man at the rear goes down, thrashing, making the rest of the squad turn and open fire. The scent of ozone fills the air as lasguns crack, volleyed fire directed by what seems to be the squad leader bellowing commands.

The other one backs up to a wall, be it natural or artificial, watching for more lictors creeping around them. They fire more intermittently, but they definitely take shots as they find them, well trained to not waste ammunition on panic fire. Only human they may be, but you don't last long in the Guard or in the employ of a Rogue Trader if you aren't inured to certain horrors.

O'Mont're Tyr, only a fraction of a second slower on the draw, raises his own gun and sights the 'nids practically leaping on top of the Space Wolves. It fires with a flash of blue, the Tau-made pulse pistol doing much more damage than the las equivalent he's also carrying. He aims carefully, unwilling to risk hitting his allies with wild fire.

The dive into melee gets joined by the old man in white. Tertius Kor laughs a deep belly laugh, taking his huge chainsword in both hands. He sprints into the midst of the Genestealers as they scuttle into sight, depressing the activation switch and making huge, sweeping slashes with the screaming weapon. A hazy bubble of golden light seems to flare up around him, and the spinning edge of the chainsword spits sparks of white and gold light like it was burning with holy fire.

"HOLD TO YOUR FAITH, MEN!" the Confessor-Militant bellows. "CUT DOWN THE XENOS FILTH AND PROVE YOUR DEVOTION TO THE DEFENSE OF MANKIND!" He swings again, a vicious overhand strike on the larger monsters in front of him, utterly fearless. "IN THE NAME OF /THE EMPEROR/!"
Karian Icefang     Karian growls as he's taken down to the ground, the feeling of genestealer claws cutting into him, even through his armor. He tries his best to roll, and succeeds in throwing off his attacker. Most of his wolfguard are successful, but Bjorg still needed help. Which he got in the form of a bolt from Maya, and from commander deathgaze. Kirito's blade lances and slashes down a few more, and Alden sets the genestealers aflame along with Bahamut. "Watch out....Genestealer claws slash through armor..." Karian warns, his voice ragged. Seemed the nid got him good. Kor's chainsword draws one poor genestealer, and teaches it the penalty of being an alien.
Some do manage to slip away, only to relaunch their attack. Of the genestealers, 5 remain. One launches itself for Maya, two more for Commander Kor, and the rest for Bahamut. Kirito is relatively ignored, as he has no biomass for the tyranids to eat. Alden would feel the gaze of the lictor heavily on him. Then, in a flash, the lictor reveals itself by leaping into the air, to pounce on the Garurumon.
Alden      The Garurumon's fur seems to stand on end as something... focuses heavily on him, some deep instinct making him turn to face in that direction, fangs bared while he begins to growl. He rolls to one side, one of the sharp blades of the lictor meeting one of teh small 'feathers' poking from his shoulders, and scrapes his fur. At the moment, he does not quite feel anything, and hopes that his 'mithril' hard hide managed to avoid getting torn away.

In any case, he does not give the tyranid time to do anything else, instead the digimon snarls and blasts it with more fire, aiming at the thing's head if he can, before jumping back, ready to jump aside, or even try to pounce the thing if it tried to go for someone else.
Bahamut      Bahamut's plan works! Sort of. At least he drew more than the other groups. Bahamut roars as he is pounced. Huge claws dig into him, stopped only partiall by his thick hide. He slashes his own huge claws at the genestealers, then leaps back and energy arcs over his shoulders before forming quickly into three orbs of grey-white energy.

These he fires at the trio of genestealers. They are accurate, but not incredibly so. Which turns out to not be a problem because they explode like bombs when they hit the ground, and the genestealers would feel their bodies stiffen as the magic attempts to petrify them. "Stand fast, comrades! These creatures shall not defeat us!" he bellows before leaping at the genestealers attacking him, his hand and foot claws all bared, ready to rend alien flesh.
Maya Maya is moving very fast though, Maya is focuserd on killng these things. She opens fire on the one coming in for her and she starts to move even if it costs her some of her accuracy. Maya seems focused, she keeps moving her blue hair dancing almost as she moves. She hears the Confessor and ahems thinks about herself when she gets going. Still she agrees with the sentiment the Nids got to go and go yesterday.
Kirito     Being COMPLETELY IGNORED is just working in Kirito's favor. It gives him a moment to launch a few Sword Skills! Taking advantage of the distracted Tyranids... proves easy. He just needs to adopt his stance, ready the Sword Skill... and strike! He sticks to single hit, low stun time moves so he can pull off several within a few seconds! Only a few retaliatory strikes graze through to strike flesh and... deliver considerable damage to his HP meter, bringing it down to two-thirds!

    "Alright... we're making progress!"
O'Mont're Tyr The first of the genestealers to leap for Tyr gets intercepted by Tertius Kor. The preacher swings his Eviscerator into the leaping monstrosity's belly, the enormous chainsword's crude disruption field generator running at full power while its teeth scream and tear away armored carapace. It ends up turning its insides into its outsides, a few dying swipes taken at the priest causing that weird light around him to flare up. He takes a breath, clearly about to start praising THE EMPRAH again.

Tyr himself has other problems: the second one that got through. He raises his voice. "Squads, form ranks!" The men with him rush together around him, flowing like water. Tyr keeps his gun up, sighting the Genestealer as it closes. His eyes don't focus on different ranges as fast as a human's, and it's moving quick. This is why he has backup, though.

"First rank, fire!" A hail of lasbolts fire, perfectly timed, ripping into the approaching monster's body. "Second rank, fire!" The second line of them blasts into it and through it, the beams tearing it to pieces. Parts of it end up sliding to a halt at Tyr's feet. If it had been seconds more...

"Advance!" Tyr starts walking. The soldiers move with him, spreading out to nearby cover and keeping all firing angles in their line of sight. They do the human equivalent of leapfrogging, letting one group cover the next's movements, and do it just as smoothly as when they responded initially. The troopers open fire whenever they spot trouble, laying down extra cover for his allies, unaware of precisely what a dragon, some kind of wolf, and a man with an apparently primitive set of weapons can do against these things. (Maya and Karian, who are armed more sensibly, are more or less known to him.)
Karian Icefang     Karian tries his best to rise back up, but quickly needs to reach in and drink down one of his potions. He rises up and motions for his team to fall back. But this gave valuable information, in a sense. The wolf lord swings his sword into the next Genestealer that leapt at him, splitting it apart. Maya's shot fells her nid, and Kirito's blade slays more. Alden's flames succeed in setting the Lictor on fire. It howls in pain and runs off, vanishing. More genestealers fall, thanks to the efforts of Kor and Commander Deathgaze. But once again, these tyranids run. In mere moments, the battle was over.
"This behavior...I don't think this is a strong hive fleet. Twice it's run away now...though this time was more devious." He says. He went to take a step, but went down. "Grr.....They got me good...Even my painkiller potion isn't quite working." He says, trying to ignore it.
Alden      Alden moves towards Kirian, concerned when he sees him fall down, as big as he is (reaching the chest of an adult) he is not sure he can really do much, beyond staying close. "I wonder if they are trying to lure us into chasing them." he says softly, "Like a trap?" he says softly. As the last of the Tyranids dissapear, he lets out a sigh, and relaxes, when he does that, his form seems to shatter, revealing the gabumon once again. He quickly begins to look around, making sure Kirito and the others were ok.
Bahamut      Bahamut is left in only slightly better shape than Karian when the Nids run for it. He makes his way over to Karian. "Is everyone alright? Did we lose anyone?" he says, looking around at Alden, Kirito, Maya, and the soldiers. "I have potions for those that might need them." Bahamut reaches under a wing and pulls out a strange-looking potion of swirling yellow and grey. He utters a few words, then tosses it in the air. The vial explodes and a circle radiates outward. Those it hits feel a decent amount of healing energy as an expanding circle of intersecting circles radiates from them.
Maya Maya is very thankful for hte covering fire. Maya downs another nid, she looks to her allies as she checks her bolter and reloads it while commenting.

"If it's weak it's going to be more crafty and cagy with it's biomass. Which means we might be able to stamp this fleet out entirely we're going to have to press it hard as we can. I'm on board till the end on this."

She looks to Alden for a moment.

"A trap and to get an idea of what we can do, while only risking a few of it's swam."

She pauses for a moment.

"I have some healing supplies."

Maya doesn't bring up her healing powers it might not go over well with Tyr's men so she's going to era on the side of caution if no one's bleeing out.
O'Mont're Tyr Tyr's guys don't let up. They're on high alert now, if they weren't before. Half of one squad goes back, checking on the fallen member of it, radioing for medical. He probably won't make it. Tyr lets them stay and try anyway.

While Kor mops up, Tyr turns to one of his men. "Vox the ship. Bring in drones and aerial support for proper reconnaissance. We will not allow them to walk us into another trap."

With that, the Tau starts off in another direction. He's going to have a word with the governor.
Kirito     Kirito has no interest in slaying fleeing monsters. Making sure his allies are alright's FAR more important. "Status! Status, everyone!" More than just the soldiers nearby... he glances over at Alden... never mind Bahamut, he's nearly invulnerable...

Maya is okay! So is a certain Captain.

"... This was way too close."

He quickly flies back over to Karian, sheathing his sword in the same motion. "What just happened?! They ran off again!"
Alden      Alden is thankfully unharmed as far as he can see, and also is relieved to see Kirito is ok, he got worried about him!, "I am ok!, but he got hurt." he says, pointing to the Captain, the magic making him blink adn look around, "I am not sure, I think Maya is right, they might be just testing us."
Maya Maya says "I think they were gaining an idea of what we could do, to be honest or trying to pick us off. They seem to know we're a problem to thier plans from the looks of things."
