Yari Takane Yari is at the medical ward, possibly Medusa's! Mostly because she's the medical staff aside from Sanary she trusts to truly take care of the woman. This may be evidence that Yari sometimes can have questionable judgement.

Nevertheless, the ninja is in a light kimono, wincing occasionally as she enters Sanary's room with a bowl of chocobo noodle soup. There's still a kunai in her tail, and she very nearly stabbed three interns along the way for looking at her funny. Her gaze is full of frustration, anger, shame, humiliation, and above all, concern for Sanary. She knocks on the door, and then moves on in.

"Are you awake, Sanary? I've got some food for you." Her voice is low and emotionally shot.
Sanary Rondel      The good news: Sanary is awake! She's not sitting upright yet, but at least she's semi-coherent enough to hold a conversation. She also doesn't appear to be in that much pain, although that could be from a combination of healing magics, post-injury trauma, and whatever meds she might be on to keep the pain away.

The bad news: Sanary looks like shit. Most notably, her head's bandaged up all around her eyes. She might also have a moderate tanline across her cheek where the eyepatch strap would normally cover. From the looks of it, she probably won't be using that eye for a while.

Hearing Yari, the injured healer does perk up a bit, waving in the Au Ra's direction with a light grin. "Heeey, Yari. Aw, you shouldn't have... You okay?" She can certainly sense that tone in her voice, although it's another matter to actually sound like she does. It's the meds.
Lina Brand     Lina's in the room, smiling, in one hand is a rod with white tip and on the other... is a vial with yellow liquid in it and a blue swirl. An ether. The visual disinction makes it an Eorzean ether to Yari's vision. "Now hold still, Sanary... this might hurt a bit..." she waves the rod a bit and healing magic slowly coats over the axewoman. "I'm still impressed you're still alive. I'm not sure if I could even cast Raise on you..."

She starts humming softly, perking more when the Au Ra makes her way in, "Oh, hey, another one who needs healing?" beat "Oh, Ninja! Take a seat, Lemme take care of some of those wounds..." with this she mutters to herself, glowing a soft red... "Haste..."
Yari Takane Yari walks over, not even noticing Lina at first. She sets down the soup on a side table. She kneels down, taking up Sanary's hand and squeezing.

She chokes up almost instantly. "No. NO I'm not. I nearly started a war on a peaceful place because of my stupid admiration, you and Logan bailed me out, and then you did it /TWICE/. And look where it got you!?"

She leans up, hugging Sanary's neck gently.

"I'm so sorry Sanary. I never meant for you to get dragged into this and hurt. I should have stopped her earlier. Should have just cut the bitch's throat!" She sobs, in anger and shame.

Then, she sits back, jolting as she notes Lina.

Quickly, she's wiping her eyes. "Ah...I didn't see you there, Miss Brand. My apologies for my outburst." Her eyes are still red, and they barely leave Sanary's damaged form. Already, she's trying to tilt up Sanary's head to begin feeding her chocobo-noodle. Home-made, with love and tears. Likely literally.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary hums softly as the healing magic washes over her, even swaying a bit as she relaxed back onto the bed. "Tingly...~ Thanks, Lina. Mm...? It'll take more than a little asskicking to keep me down." The healer laughs loudly before wincing, that brief look of mirth on her face quickly replaced by more quiet whimpering.

She'll stop doing that to herself eventually. Just.. Not right away. She tries to blink slowly at Yari's hand on hers, straining for a moment until realizing that the bandages are on precisely to keep her from doing anything like that. "Hey, hey... You couldn't a... Of.. Have known that was gonna happen. Besides, I'm the one that got my into self.. This."

She's trying her best to console Yari, even if her tone might not be quite as serious or contemplative as it should be. It's still a little dazed, even, but at least the pain's gone! "Besides, now we got good intel on the... Um... What's her name. Momomomomommmmm." She hums again, seeming rather pleased with the noodles. She can taste the scoops of love and the tears in every bite!
HK-47      "Statement - Never before have truer words been spoken, yet I rarely hear them from meatbags."

With a slow clanking of metal, a rust-red droid promptly enters the room, red photoreceptors glinting dimly.

"Statement - At least once in every existence, there will come a point where one realizes they should have gutted select individuals when they had the chance" HK-47 states plaintively, standing beside the bedridden cleric completely unaware of how his presence - like the feeling of death looking down on someone - is likely not a very comfortable for Sanary. "But if nothing else, you are correct in that the data acquired on Momoyo Kawakami will, if nothing else, be a boon to us."

     ...

The fact the droid doesn't realize how awkward his arrival is for the group is rather obvious.
Lina Brand     Lina shakes her head and chuckles, "It's okay, really. I'm just here to heal Sanary here. I don't think she's actually seen my healing magics." she opens the bottle of yellow liquid and downs it in one fell swoop, before going back to spamming healing spells on the two. "Relax, Yari. Hindsight is always twenty twenty, you'll get her next time, just take her out." optimistic this one is, "Alternatively, I have net arrows to use."

She turns to Sanary and shakes her head, "Just be careful, okay, I don't need you to bust something open otherwise I'm going to have to hit you and cure you..." and with HK's arrival, she takes one look at the droid and... ducks behind... "Steel monster...?" she questions a bit shakily... peeking up from wherever it is that Sanary's sitting from...
Yari Takane Poor, drugged up Sanary. Yari actually cracks a smile for a moment. Squeezing again, she makes sure that SAnary isn't going anywhere with her tail! When she's being a good wounded cleric, it even gives her a gentle massage in the non-injured shoulder. If there is one.

"I never imagined my idiocy would spawn...this, and a tournament." She really needs a drink right now.

"Thank you, Sanary. Once we get you back on your feet, you and I are training from the ground up. Until we're stronger than /her/!"

Grrrr. Grudge, initiated.

"Plenty. I know her capabilities if we ever encounter her in the field."

Ah, the magitek drone-assassin. The ninja doesn't offer a salute. AFter all, that'd be considering a mere magitek (to her!) device to be a real person. "I'll be certain to not make that mistake twice, Sir. Can we help you? ...I highly doubt our healer's skills will be of much assistance." Then she turns to Lina.

"Absolutely. I might not be joining that tournament, but the moment I spy out herside of Kawakami, I'll have a rifle and a kunai with her name on it." Blink.

"Is something the matter? HK-47 is a highly programmed agent." AT least she's used to creatures like him. Then she nods in agreement.

"Yes, stay put, Sanary. You'll be putting me through my paces soon, after all. I have a few ideas, if we can get in touch with Miss Kagenashi."
Sanary Rondel      That's a familiar voice that Sanary doesn't recall ever seeing the source of! Not that she could see HK-47 even if she wanted to right now, but she does raise her less-busted left hand in a lazy wave at the droid. Oddly enough, she doesn't seem all that disturbed by its presence. If anything, it's almost like she's trying not to laugh at something again. Lina's warning is actually getting through to her! "Oh, there's been pleeenty of those. Mostly back home, but... Eh."

That self-inflicted reminder does bring her mood down just a bit. She even pouts a bit when Lina mentions the possibility of hitting her to heal her. ".. I'll be good." She reaches over to ruffle Lina's... Hair? Uniform? She can't really tell what she's ruffling, but at least she's trying to make her feel better about the droid's appearance.

And with Yari massaging her shoulder? Sanary's starting to perk up again! "Definitely gotta train a lot more. Get some more... Fight good practice. Lot faster, too, 'cause she was all..." She waves her hand vaguely while making a whooshing noise. "Can get Kagenashashishashi, Verg, that guy that breathes too hard..." Just what is she planning?

     Probably nothing coherent.
HK-47      While Lina's reaction is hardly the kind most enjoy getting, this is not the case for the assassin droid. If anything, HK seems to take the expression of concern from Lina as a badge of honor to his credit that his design has completed it's primary function of being intimidating to meatbags.

"Assessment - That is one way to describe my functionality, yes."

Turning to face Yari and Sanary, HK seems to look over the latter with something of an inquisitive gaze. "Musing - Your central chassis seems relatively intact and your repairs seem effective... but my functionality is the disassembly of meatbags, not the reassembly, so I may be a poor judge." The droid pauses for a moment. "Conclusion - In any case, I believe you shall soon be fully-functional again, barring possible psychological-recovery time, which I understand is a commonplace factor for meatbags who have sustained previous bodily harm."

That /might/ be the droid's attempt to say 'don't push yourself and wait until you're cleared for duty' - if one gets through translating the droid's... unique method of speaking.

Turning to face Yari, the droid's photoreceptors actually seem to take a more malevolent gleam to them. "Statement - Yes, indeed. However, reviewing what has been reported of the meatbag, I believe Kawakami was simply waiting for an excuse to wage a conflict. She is very similar in outside mentality to the Sith of my reality - a longing for challenge and conflict. But she is trying to start a war, yet fit it into the framework of a standardized battle. I believe the term that describes it is 'she knows of battle, but not of war'?"

The rather clear implication is that HK doesn't believe anyone has to wait long for a chance to show Momoyo the folly of trying to force a war to operate solely as she wishes it.
Lina Brand     "IT... it's just I didn't expect you to be a machine..." she coughs, Lina's mind racing about the steel monstrosities of home... she shakes her head, "I apologize for my reaction, just... it kinda reminded me of something from home. No offense." she gives a brief light chuckle... yeah, she may have embarrased herself in front of three people higher than her...

She listens to the droid's ramblings, tilting her head curiously... "You surely have an interesting way of speaking. But... yeah, I'm gonna heal you two until you're ready and then I'm going to join you two so I can shove some of my arrows down someone's throat. They'll have to deal with my Ranger abilities if they wanna get to you two again!"
Yari Takane Nnn! Sanary never fails to cheer up Yari, even if she's latching onto the other woman like a puppy right now. With a very sharp knife. Interns beware, or they might lose limbs. The Elites in the room are safe, however.

"She made even me seem slow. But now we have something to test ourselves against. Vergil? Do you mean...Mister Darth Vader? Nnn. A good idea." This might all end in tears, but she's willing to find any edge in a battle or in war at this point that she can.

Speaking of!

One eye closes as she's addressed. And slowly, slowly, an almost feral grin comes to her face. "That little imbecile doesn't know anything of war. She's never lost friends, family, comrades to it. Never felt the despair of loss, the pain of losing a base through a superior foe. She's stepped onto the stage of war, and we're going to stain her in every single suffering that it can give someone." Yari's rarely sadistic, but something about this whole situation taps into her darker nature. She wants vengeance for everything, even if directly.

Lina's arm gets a squeeze. "We'll be an excellent team, Miss Brand. I'll look forward to working with you. And training with you. My illusion skills are sharpening, but you're an expert." Then, she turns to HK.

She purses her lips. "And if you'd be willing to offer, any training to a...meatbag...such as myself in the killing arts would be appreciated, Mr. 47."
HK-47      "Statement - Oh, yes" HK replies, sounding rather proud of himself as he speaks. "If there is one thing I have learned, it is how most meatbags are surprisingly oblivious of the poor, errant droid in the room. They never suspect the droid until after it throws aside the serving tray to reveal the high-powered disruptor carbine and discharges it point-blank into their cranium."

Likewise, the assassin droid's rather obvious nature becomes all the more-so when Yari begins speaking. If anything, it seems somewhat joyful seeing the Au Ra's expression. "Musing - Indeed. For one, she has made the mistake of starting a conflict when she is something of a rather open celebrity in her reality. There are abundant rumors from which to draw information about her abilities from - but insights into her mentality are that, while she is regarded as a berserker in battle, she has never suffered a single loss in her entire career. She has never once lost a fight - or anything of value to her."

And likewise, the droid seems to be very, very pleased to be recognized as something of an expert in the killing arts. "Statement - There may be... something I can teach. For there is more then one method of assassination - and many are applicable even in the midst of battle. After all... one does not need to level a blaster at the opponent to win. And one can win the battle well before they face the opposition."

However, the droid decides to ask one final question before taking his leave, "Query - There is one other factor to assess. Namely the stolen information that Kawakami is using as the excuse for airing her aggressions. Specifically... what do you intend to do with it for the time being?"

Being an assassin, it's obvious what HK is likely hoping for... but at the same time, he also probably wishes to know which direction this situation is headed in.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's really having to try hard not to snicker at the way HK-47 is talking. She can't help it: Between the meds, being food warm food, the healing magic, and that roundabout way of speaking? It's a wonder she hasn't burst out laughing already. "I got.. Nn... I think got maybe half of that. Thanks... Yooou. You. Uh."

She holds up to HK immediately. "I got it. Uhm... 43!" It's close, at least. Not quite there, but only 10% off!

Lina gets another pat on the wherever-Sanary-can-reach, something resembling a confident grin returning to the healer's face. "Thaaat's the spirit. Between the four of us, bet we can take her down all sorts of... Good. 'specially if you're both handling ranged combat while we get all... Front."

And then her hand is back on Yari's head. A pat on the head, and then the cleric lies back down on the bed. Sitting up is hard when you can't feel your torso! "That's the name. Yeah, we... We still need a lot of work, but we'll get there. And once we do, we'll show her all sorts of stuff. War, stains... The works."

She's starting to crack up again.
Yari Takane Still sporting that grin, Yari offers HK a salute. Score one for meatbag-droid relations.

"She's cunning, but lacks experience and drive. And she doesn't know my anger. Nnn. I still intend to attend the academy. I can gain more information on her friends, and their enemies. I can't match her now without using extreme measures, but I can fight her friends certainly and hurt her that way. If they're drawn into thw ar? Then they're my targets."

"Attacking her indirectly is best for now. I'll look forward to your tutelage, Sir. I'll prove a good student, as far as a 'meatbag' goes." Flattery is a ninja tradition.

And then she's over to Sanary. "Shhh. Shh. Calm down Sanary. No laughing. Keep it up, and I'll tickle the special spot on your feet. Then you'll /really/ regret it." Peeeeer!

Then she sighs, and slides into the bed beside Sanary. Soon enough, the exhausted ninja is sleeping, leaving Lina free to heal her. Her tail never leaves from curling around Sanary's ankle.
HK-47      HK seems to regard Sanary with what, strangely enough... looks almost like open pity. As if she what she said was so completely expected of her to say that it was almost sad. "Assessment - As I said, there is no accounting for psychological-recovery requirements when incurring repeated high-level trauma. Perhaps verbal communication - or cognitive processes in general - should be resumed when the medical officials are confident your cranial swelling has lessened and the sedatives have been flushed from your circulatory systems."

Well, at least the droid said he wants her to recover. Whether it's because he actually cares or just doesn't want the Confederacy to be down an ally doesn't /really/ matter in regards to that, does it?

     ...

Either way, the droid seems satisfied with confirming the state of Sanary Rondel and Yari Takane in the wake of what has become something of a large-scale debacle - as well as receiving conformation on what Takane intends to do with the information she has. "Statement - Indeed. By allowing us to enter the city, she allows us the chance to cultivate domestic enemies against her - and show her that forcing arbitrary rules are hardly a guarantee of the end result. After all... she is only a meatbag. And all entities - especially meatbags - are fallible."

Finally, there is the acknowledgement of their newfound cooperation between Au Ra and Assassin droid. "Statement - I warn you, I am a merciless taskmaster. I shall expect excellence... or at least as much as any meatbag can deliver. And whenever you have need of my services, I will be eager to assist you. Until then, signing off."

With that, the HK unit takes his leave and promptly steps out of the medial wing, returning the atmosphere to one lacking any bloodlust - much to Lina's relief, most likely.
