Scene #3664:

Owner	Pose
Evangeline	It is a lovely winter day at Mont-Saint Michael's, the airbase in a converted cathedral on the coast of Gallia. There is a generous dusting of snow on the ground and all is generally quiet. But, anyone coming through the warp gate would notice what sounds like propeller plane engines. The source? Young girls, all no more than 16, flying about with engines that surround their legs like some sort of metal leggings. The warp gate lets out about 100 meters from the base, so anyone emerging there would be in no danger from patrolling troops. However, they would be immediately under observation from the guards.
Alden	Alden hoped that he was not going to get in any trouble just for being here!, he was not even aware there was a military base until after he emerged. He did not have a huge idea of what teh military was either to be honest. The Gabumon offered a wave or two to the guards, while turning to try to find the source of the engine noise, tilting his head a bit as he tried to spot hte flying machines, quite curious really, and moving closer.
Evangeline	When the little Digimon starts approaching, that's when the armed response happens. He can get pretty close, within a few dozen feet of the walls, before the guard captain calls out, "Halt! State your name and business!" This close to the base, the source of the engine noise is quite obvious as being the previously mentioned flying girls. But, there is one that doesn't quite fit in with the others. She is completely black from the tip of her feline-like ears to the bottom of her plane engine legs. And, she has no visible propellers. And when she and her wingman fly by, she is making no sound as she flies. Since the little creature is obviously a Multiversal that strange metallic black girl and her wingman -- a girl who looks about 10 years old with floppy animal ears and a surprisingly large gun -- fly over to confront him. Unlike the guards though, the two girls seem quite friendly. "Hi there!" the normal-looking girl says, raising a hand to wave. "What are you doing here? What's your name? I'm Yoshika, and this is Evangeline. Can you talk?" the young girl asks, smiling kindly and extending a hand as she hovers there just off the ground.
Alden	Alden squeaks as the Captain calls towards him, "Sorry, got curious about the noises, I don't mean to cause trouble." he chirps, seeming a bit nervous, but mostly surprised. Being what he is, and coming from a world with a numerous ammount of odd... creatures, he is more curious than outright surprised by their appearance, smiling broadly, looking up to the pair with a smile. "I'm Alden!, I was just exploring!." he answers them, turning his gaze from the animal eared one to the dark colored one, offering a cute bow, before taking the hand, "Nice to meet you Yoshika and Evangeline!". This close he looks pretty harmless, between his height, chubbyness, and well, he looks cute!.
Evangeline	Yoshika giggles as Alden shakes her hand. "Hello Alden! Nice to meet you, too!" The other girl, who doesn't even seem to have a face, has just been floating there motionless as she watches the two. When she finally speaks, it is with a rather soft voice that doesn't even come from her non-face. "...hello there...you do not look dangerous..." With the two Strike Witches there, the guards relax and go about their normal business. Evangeline floats closer to Alden, then leans forward so she isn't so tall looking. "...you were exploring alone..?" she asks, then holds out one of her curious arms. She seems to have no hands. That is, until her arm is outstretched and a set of fingers emerges from the sleeve-like arm, making it look as if she is wearing a jacket that is a bit too long for her. "...that could be dangerous...there are many deadly creatures out there...and if you had arrived near a Neuroi nest...you could have been attacked..."
Alden	Alden is glad that the two unusual... girls? they look kind of like girls... are friendly!. He wags his lizardish tail in a decidedly canine fashion, "I will take that as a compliment." he tells the other girl, rumbling loudly. "Yeah!, figured I should try to learn more and explore." he tells the girl, looking at the fingers curiously, "That's neat." he says casually. The mention of deadly creatures makes him look around, "I try to be cautious..." he won't mention he already had monster issues in Alfheim online, let alone got confused with another monster of that area for a second. "I think I am able to defend myself, well, depending on how strong those creatures might be..." he mumbles, before chuckling, "Thank you for that warning tho, maybe I should be more careful..." he says with a grin.
Evangeline	Yoshika nods as Alden says he can defend himself. "I'm sure you can! But a cutie like you should be extra careful." she says, smiling brightly. Then, a horn sounds from the base and Yoshika's ears perk. "Oh! Dinner time! I should get back to the base. I'm the cook!" she says, then she looks over at Evangeline. "You can keep our guest company, right?" she says. Evangeline is quiet a moment before she nods gently. "...I can watch him..." she says. Yoshika smiles at that, then looks to Alden. "Be nice to Evangeline, okay? She's really nice too, so don't worry!" she says, then the spirited little girl's engines rev and she flies off toward the base's main building. Evangeline and Alden are left alone, though the guards are still keeping their eyes on Alden. Evangeline just floats there, fingers outstretched. "...thank you..." she says finally, likely in response to him saying her fingers are neat.
Alden	Alden smiles at the mention of being cute, even blushing slightly!. "Thanks." he says with a grin, "I have a few tricks up my sleeve if I am in trouble." he says softly. The horn makes the Gabumon jump, before hearing it was for dinner!. "I will, cook something nice!" he cheers Yoshika before watching her fly away. He moves closer to Evangeline, admiring the dark figure, "You are welcome, never ran into someone like you." he says casually, smiling.
Evangeline	Evangeline tilts her head slightly as Alden moves closer, then she reaches over to gently pet him on the head. "...I have never run into someone like you, either..." she says, then pauses. "...although...I have met a lizard person...that is somewhat similar...except she is a fully grown female of her species..." she says before scratching Alden's ears gently. "...are you part of a faction..?" she asks after that.
Alden	Alden lets out a soft purring noise at the petting, leaning into it happily, "Lizard person... Ainsley?" he asks, eyes opening a bit wide at first, before reaching around to brush the petting hand curiously, smiling, "Not yet, still trying to learn about them." he explains. "I just want to learn more, train and get a bit stronger, and help people." he says softly, between loud purrs.
Evangeline	Although she has no facial features to show if she is having fun, she continues to pet the little fuzzy lizard. She tilts her head when Alden guesses who she was talking about. "...you know Ainsley..?" she asks, and at this range Alden might notice that her voice is coming from the watch around her forearm rather than from her face. "...she is nice...and was one of the first people I met when I left Strike Earth the first time..." she says. When Alden describes what he wants to do, Evangeline nods gently. "...I wish to bring peace between the Neuroi -- those like me -- and the humans...if no peace can be found..." she stops her pettings and looks off toward the ocean horizon. "...one or both might be exterminated..."
Alden	Alden nods a few times, "I do! she was the first person I met outside my world... she is letting me stay at her place." he explains, rumbling gently and peeking at the watch for a momen, "She is very, very nice." he agrees. He listens to her own goals and sighs, "Yeah, i also hope to help with the relations between human and digimon... but first, there is a very big... problem back home that has to be taken care of, and that needs strong digimons to help."
Evangeline	Evangeline tilts her head in curiousity. "...what sort of problem...?" she asks before noticing the glance to her watch. She raises that arm, then holds it out. "...I got this as a gift...as of yet, I cannot talk like a human or you...so I have this...it interprets my communications into speech..." she says.
Alden	Alden lets out a sigh, "It's a bit hard to explain, but... my universe is divided in the digital world and the human world... there is something in the digital world... apparently it existed since it formed... that awakened and decided it wants to erase everything." he says softly, "I don't think it will be a problem for the multiverse... but the thing... is pretty strong." he says softly, "It spread all over the lower levels, and is contained for now." he says.
Evangeline	Evangeline tilts her head just a bit when Alden talks about the digital world. "...digital...world..." she repeats, then nods lightly. "...I have read reports...is that creature called Beelzebumon from your world..?" she asks, then looks down slightly as she considers. "...why does it wish to erase everything...? ..would it not erase itself..?"
Alden	Alden rubs his chin for a moment, "I am not that sure..." he begins, "From what I understand... my world... is not that old, started as a computer AI simulation, which was programmed to evolve... the creators also added a special routine to erase the... AIs if they got out of control... the thing trying to erase everything is... that routine... whatever turned an old computer program into things like me... and Beelzebumon, also evolved it, but it's purpose remains." he says softly, before smiling, "I think he comes from an alternate reality... different digital world."
Evangeline	Evangeline floats there a few moments, then flies around Alden and twirls in the air before coming to a stop again. "...so...it is good that you escaped..." she says, giving him a pat on the head. "...but...will you be deleted if your world is deleted...even if you are not there..?"
Alden	Alden watches her curiously and presses into the patting hand, "It is... just worried about my human friend." he says. The question makes him rub his chin, "I... am not sure, maybe?... I really prefer that... my world survives tho... that's one reason why I want to be stronger, to go there and... help stop it."
Evangeline	Evangeline nods in understanding. She wouldn't want her world to be destroyed either, even with all its problems. "...perhaps there are some that can help you...Beelzebumon is very strong...and I met another human friend of digimon named Satou...maybe he could help you get stronger..." she says, then leans in closer. "...and...I would help...if I knew a way I could help..." she adds. "...most Neuroi refuse to acknowledge that there could be a peaceful end to the Neuroi-Human war...I am one of only a handful of Neuroi that are willing to find a peaceful resolution...and I am the only Neuroi that is able to actively look for such a solution..."
Alden	Alden nods a few times, "I ran into Satou, he is very nice!." he agrees, his tail wagging happily at those words. "Well, for now I want to learn more about things, before I begin asking for help." he says softly, "And the same offer to you... you seem really nice adn if I can do something to assist... let me know."
Evangeline	Evangeline nods gently at the return offer. "...it is good to be able to offer something before you ask for help..." she agrees. When he says she seems really nice, the little Neuroi headtilts slightly before she twirls in place in an obvious display of happiness. She goes still again after that, then pets Alden again. "...it is still surprising...after being in this world for so long...those outside this world...all treat me wish kindness..."
Alden	Alden grins and leans into the hand, cooing softly, "It's the least I can do, like I mentioned, I hope to be able to help others." he begins, before tilting his head, "Well, maybe because we just see you as a nice girl, with no idea of most things from this world, like the conflicts and all that."
Evangeline	The strange 'girl' pauses at that, then shakes her head. "...no...it is because in this world...my kind are the enemy...they are trying to destroy humans..." she says, then runs a finger along Alden's horn. "...and...yes...I guess...on other worlds...I am just a curious thing...seemingly harmless..."
Alden	Alden rubs his chin again and squeaks at the tracing, the horn having some kind of markings etched into it, not just painted, they were felt as a digit moved along it. "That might be, I honestly can't see you as something dangerous... well against anyone not trying to hurt you."
Evangeline	Evangeline actually flinches when Alden squeaks, then lowers her hand away from his horn while her head lowers a bit. "...I am not dangerous to a friend...I am very dangerous to an enemy..." she says. She then raises her head again. "...how will you get stronger..?" she asks, tilting her head. "...Neuroi cannot get stronger through training..."
Alden	Alden smiles and shakes his head, "Sorry, was surprised, it does not hurt to be touched there."he says softly, rumbling contently, hoping he did not scare her away. "Hmm, training, learning, practicing until my body is stronger."
Evangeline	Evangeline nods softly, but doesn't touch the horn again. "...do you eat food like humans...?" she asks as she starts slowly floating around Alden, looking him over. "...and how do you transform into wolf dog things...?" Seems she has been communicating on her radio while they were talking. "...I can transform somewhat, but nothing like that..."
Alden	Alden smiles and nods, "I do!, some say I eat a bit too much for someone so small." he says, letting out a chuckle. He makes sure to stand up still when he realizes he is being observed, and tilts his head at the question. "You know about that?" he asks curiously, before smiling, "I need to use my D-arc and a digimon card." he explains, pointing to the device on his belt (he was wearing one, the device looks like a small handheld device with a card reading slot), "I can transform 3 times." he says.
Evangeline	Evangeline circles Alden twice before she comes to a stop in front of him again. "...I do not eat like humans...I absorb things...I do not really eat..." she says, then leans to the side to look at that device. She starts reaching out toward it, then hesitates before pulling her hand back. "...perhaps I should not touch it...I might accidentally absorb it..." she says.
Alden	Alden grins and seems tempted to reach to poke the girl, but for now he seems content just admiring her, how seh flies around and looks at the device, "Oh... then I should not let you touch it, it is really important." he says with a chuckle. He smiles up, and talks a bit more about the cards and how they work.
