Golden     THE TERLAWK MALL! The sun is shining! The Holiday mobs are in full swing trying to strip the stores bare in the name of gift-giving and consuming mass quantities! The parking lot glitters in the sun from the many cars in it. It'd be hard to find a digimon in the teeming masses.
Which is why Golden radioed Gadget girl with a small place across the street from the Terlawk Mall. A little Radio Shack styled place that repairs all manner of electronics and has refurbished TVs (or equivalent) for sale. The little golden digimon is watching a local news program in the store window as scattered pedestrians walk by, a ceramic pot with a tree sapling about a foot in height sprouting from it.
"The weather forecast for Urbania today is cold, clear and sunny! Here's our five day forecast now. Snow, and lots of it. Plenty of the white stuff for the kids to play in. Not so fun to drive in though, if you've got a ground car..." the weather girl says as the green screen changes to match what she's talking about.
Gadget Girl      Something about going to visit some random monster in a mall at the ends of the world was probably not the best of ideas. But here she was, in all of her shawl-covered glory! Laura Gerain, walking into the Terlawk Mall.
When she was radioed to go to the radio shack styled store with repairs and such, she was carrying a relatively large bag, which seemed to have a pair of gun-shaped things in it.
A weather forecast, woo! ... Wait, snow? Ugh! That stuff was basically the devil for a girl like her, from a place that rarely snows! Still, it wasn't that hrd to find the golden person with a tree sapling nearby, and Laura approaches quietly. "...Ah, uhm... hello." She says quietly, a lot more timid sounding than she was on the radio. "Here is, uhm. The... uhm... the marshmallow guns." She says, holding up the bag.
Golden     Golden is tiny compared to the sixteen year old, being little more than a cyborg-looking ball with limbs. Clearly one of the arms is a gun or cannon, while the other has a wicked metal claw mounted on the back of it.
"Oh hey kid, that's awesome." He says as he turns his attention towards the young woman. He gestures with his hand towards the potted sapling.
"A ham tree sapling. They like moist soil, lots of mulchy stuff too." He checks the leaves. "Uh... I think this one is honey glazed variety, but I think they got all crossbred after turning up here, so it might be honey barbecue or something odd."
Gadget Girl      It might be for the best that Laura had made a mini marshmallow launcher, instead of a full sized marshmallow launcher. And also it was good it was trigger based! She had actually gone an extra mile with creating the marshmallow gun, having even gutted (and repainted) a submachinegun toy to put the marshmallow gun into, and having repurposed and redone everything to make it air-tight for it.
"Well, I mean... I wasn't sure if it was a fair trade, so, uhm... I was trying to make sure it was worth about the same..." Laura says, crouching down to look at the ham tree sapling. Even if it didn't actually grow ham, it might not be that bad! "That's... probably something bad to have crossbreed, huh? Especially if it, like... crossbread with a lemon or something. Though... lemon honeyglazed ham might not be that bad." Hmm!

"Oh, uhm. You uhm. Reload the gun by uhm." She takes one of the guns, pressing a button that releases and lets the clip drop out. "It, uhm. Might be a little harder with one arm, but you could probably catch and hold the clip with your cannon. And then, uhm. To load it you just kind of push them in the top gently." She says, pushing them in. There was a click after every loaded mini-marshmallow, which she's included a couple bags of. "It's got a soft spring, but when you pull the trigger it triggers a loading system that pulls up one of the marshmallows into the barrel to fire." Laura says with a nod. "...I went with mini-marshmallows because you can load more into a clip and get more per bag than the larger ones."
Golden     Golden watches, fascinated. "That's pretty cool." He looks at the gun, thinking.
"So little marshmallows?" He says, pointing at the bag. "Also, you're a lot quieter than you are on the radio. Everything alright?"
Gadget Girl      "Yes, pretty much. Uhm..." Laura pauses at the comment and question of if she's alright. "Ah, uhm... yes, I'm okay. I just, uhm. It's easier to talk to a radio... uhm... it's... uhm... different..." Laura explains carefully, shifting a little bit. "I'm okay. Just, uhm. Not as good at talking in person." Laura explains quietly.

After she loads the clip, she carefully slides it back into the gun. "Oh, uhm. To uhm. Refill it, you...." She takes hold of the grip of the submachinegun design, sliding down to release the clip that was holding the cover on it, revealing a CO2 cartridge. "You can buy these at most places, make sure that it's the same PSI and such, but uhm. It shouldn't be that expensive. Each one should probably be good for a few hundred shots or so." She says, pointing at the small cartridge. "You can probably find it in uhm. A paintball shop. You just unscrew it and pull it off... and then push a new one in and screw it in. I'm not going to do that right now because this one's seal is already punctured by the firing system though, and it would lose pressure." She says, carefully closing the gun back up. "It should be possible with one hand, though." She nods carefully, before sliding the gun back into the bag. "So, uhm. Yeah! ... That's the mini-marshmallow guns. You should be able to fire uhm... fairly quickly by just pulling the trigger on it."
Golden     Golden ahhs, listening and watching carefully to Gadget Girl's demonstration and examples. He nods in comprehension.
He pushes the ham sapling forward with a hand. "Uh, I guess I should go in depth on this too, since you explained the mini-marshmallow gun pretty well."
"Ham trees like wet soil and lots of compost to grow. You'll want to repot this one when it gets about three feet tall, or plant it in a large bed that you can put dead leaves and grass on to feed it. They tend to give ham in the late spring through mid-summer. You can store the ham like you would other meat; we usually dry-cured it and saved the bone for planting saplings if we needed. The ham's ripe when the outer skin has a crispy baked look to it. Don't eat the ham that fall to the ground, you would be best to chuck those far away so you don't attract local carnivores. Ham trees also work for bonsai."
Gadget Girl      When the sapling is pushed forward, Laura reaches to take it in both hands, looking at the short sapling carefully. "So... lots of compost... and wet soil..." She nods a bit to herself, thinking on that. Would it be safer to plant inside or outside, attracting carnivores /would/ be bad.
"That should be easy enough..." She muses on that quietly for a while, before giving a nod. "Okay! ...Thank you." she says, holding the tree by wrapping one arm around the pot. "I should probably get going back home, I need to prepare for going to go visit Alexander Academy today, but uhm. If those ever get damaged I can make another one pretty easily for you, so uhm. Just... you know. Feel free to ask and stuff." She nods quietly, getting ready to leave, but waiting for the little golden cueball to respond first.
Golden     Golden waves as best as he can. "Hey, thank you too! This will be tons of fun for the little digimon I run into!" He carefully puts all the stuff into a satchel-like thing.
"Yeah, I'll see if others want some of your marshmallow guns. And if you have any questions about the tree, just radio me." he says as Laura explains she should get going. "Take care of yourself!"
