Tamiel     No doubt the Union has already been informed of the need for protection, as the city-state of Delte has requested Union aid in this matter. Rogue Grigori are a prize to find in any case, but they are often confused, scared souls who help out of a need to feel useful or, perhaps, childish anger. To have one that makes a premeditated attempt at defection, promising an inside scoop on Heaven's needs and desires and capabilities... that is another matter entirely. The Grigori Sophia has promised exactly this, and has flown in under escort already. Heavy escort. Normally, that escort would be intercepted, but tracking Sophia has been much more difficult than expected. A lock was only found after she was in the city.

UNION FORCES will find the city to be more like a fortress. Numerous bunkers, slab-like outer walls, and turrets that control rail guns and rocket launchers for anti-air defenses. It's a ridiculously fortified position, though one that shows the wear and tear of more than one assault. So far, it has held against conquest. But today, the objective is not conquest, but defense of a singular bunker located in the midst of the city.

CONFEDERATE FORCES can arrive however they wish, but air defenses and ground defenses are both heavy. The city is even magically warded, as Delte boasts a rare contingent of battle mages, something that is hard to find among the humans, not to mention its own staff of summoners.
Kay     Delte hasn't worked closely with the Union before, but they're doing their best to provide any possible support. This may come in the form of landing platforms like helipads, or transport into the city. Kay herself, as usual, is trying to avoid any undue attention or responsibility by claiming to be a demon summoner only, and is supporting the city by summoning a trio of large, elemental-breathing brutes that are patrolling the walls outside. Her Familiar, Levi, is next to her as she sits atop one of the watchposts.

For anyone who asked, she has informed that Heaven USUALLY attacks with a combined arm force of aerial Grigori and landbound Cherubs. Vehicles don't seem to be common, but even a Cherub normally takes a vehicle to handle reliably without magical support. Of course, Elites tend to make that less true, as anyone who's seen her fight can attest!
Lezard Valeth Lezard Valeth is not happy.

Normally, he would just teleport into the place and begin wreaking havoc, but this place actually /warded/ their city. they probably notices him bouncing off their wards. It is the only warning they will have of what is to come.

This is unacceptable. Unconscionable. "To stand between me and my quarry..." Lezard states, standing on a nearby promontory of blasted rock. His cape snaps behind him, dramatically, as he adjusts his glasses ominously.

"Such is utter foolishness."

With a rushing of air, Lezard thrusts out a hand, power surging around him as he begins to incant.

""I am he who hath entrusted his soul to the eternal vortex of time. Ye know me! And if ye do not, ye shall be made to know me. It shall be engraved on thy very soul; Lezard Valeth! If ye shall accept the brand of Hel upon thee, thy sanctions shall in turn be lowered. I shall grant thee the deliverance of thy soul, and ye shall come now before me!"

With a crackling surge of magical energy, black and purple holes rip open all along the battlefield, and the hordes of Niflheim come. Undead surge forth, skeletal vikings clutching rotting wooden shields and rusted blades and axes. Vampires. Ghosts. Harpies, and other denizens of the darkness begin rising up. Splintered bone rams, screaming and howling in cadence emerge as they begin getting pushed into position to engage in siege warfare, while the flying entities begin harrying the wall defenses.

But Lezard is not done, as he reaches into his cape and produces the Manus Catalyst, a black and twisted branch that radiates a warping, warm dark energy. He points it at the front gates of the city, and begins channeling even more power...
Shin Tokuyama     "Rah rah rah. Kay Elimeno, you owe me for bike repairs! And I'm not gonna stop bugging you until you pay for them!" Comes a voice from not too far away from Kay. Shin has showed up and he's dismounting a sporty motorcycle as he dusts off his jacket and looks at her, "So I'm here and you have to deal with it!"

This narrative, of course, discounts the fact that Kay specifically asked him to show up. And told him where she'd be. And requested specifically that he be here at this point. The martial artist adjusts his sunglasses, briefly giving view to that heterochromatic gaze of us, "So sup? You like the scarf? Sorry I couldn't get you something nicer."
Valentha Summers     Following a pledge to aid, and quite excited to get a chance to see this crazy world's goodies, Valentha Summers has decided to come storming in on her Hovercycle. The NG-357 Magnum-Turbo's engines aren't roaring though, even if both jet turbines are sending it rushing through the skies. Really, its engine is impossibly quiet... although the cycle is not. Because Valentha...

    "WHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Valentha hits a dive with little warning, heading for the bunker!

Well, the city's forces received notice of her arrival so they wouldn't start shooting her. But HER PASSENGER got no warning!

On the other hand... the swooping dive is interrupted by the sizzle of detected magic on her senses. Valentha levels out and swerves over around, giving her and her passenger a very good view of the UNDEAD ARMY and other creatures that just appeared at the outskirts of the bunker.

"So uh... just, suddenly, undead monsters. Right, that's just as planned."

But Valentha 'guns' the engine and finishes that dive, giving Crys a chance to disembark wherever she wishes. As for Valentha, well, she's going to park that bike somewhere out of the way. Then work her own countermeasures against this incursion.
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz had been one of the ones to get the call for aid and so here she was on her way the n3ewman is haning on to the dragon as they come in and she's having fun with it. Though the vast diffence in age is something that amuses the one eyed newman.
% She'll get off with a hop and looks to Valentha for a moment.

"Time to get go work, you ever seen a weaponized Chiandsaw?"

She asks before summoning the hulking chainsaed from her photon trap. The blade does not yet come to life but the two handed weapon seems to have something akin to a sword and a high tech chainsaw look to it. She'll start moving for the defenders thusly.
Berserker "Oh, it's you," Berserker sighs, seeing Shin come by. She'll respond by... draping herself over Kay possessively, looping arms around her Master as she materializes. "I suppose debt is one reason to show up. Ah well. Perhaps we will be lucky and nothing will happen while they secure the... target..."

And of course just as she says that, Lezard shows up and starts making a fuss. Naturally. "Oh... it's him again." Berserker spreads her fan in front of her face, fanning it lightly. "Hmm hmm. I suppose this calls for something different." She snaps her fan shut and begins to whisper, sending some of her own prana downward, to shimmer and reinforce the front gates against what is likely to be an incoming assault.
Lu-Mey     Subtlety is her middle name, Lu-Mey had said. It's... Not quite true. Actually it was a complete, total, wholly untrue fabrication. The red clad oni is about as subtle as a brick in anything and everything she does.

"Um. Boss, is this a good idea? It kind of ended in a mess last time." Ao-hime says, the kijin princess in blue silk looking kind of worried at the oni's apparent plan. Because the fact of the matter is, the two are held rather firmly in the large metal gauntlets of Shen-Di, the red plated Yoroi Armour trundling its way with a heavy step towards Delte, stopping quite some distance away.

"Relax, it'll be fine~. It worked for me the last time we tried it!" Lu chirrups with saccharine sweetness in reply.

"Um. It kind of... K-killed you last time." Aka-Hime points out, the child's voice coming clear from the mecha's speakers as it comes to a stop and reels back.

    "So? I got better, didn't I?"

"I really do not like this plan, you know. I'm just saying." Ao does note, as the mecha reels its arms back...

And proceeds to hurl the cyborg princess and red-clad oni through the air in attempt to bypass them over the city's fortress-like walls.

"I REALLY DON'T LIKE THIS PLAN!" Ao-hime squeals, mechanical limbs flailing as she sails through the skies.

"WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!" Lu-Mey squeals too! Sounds like she's having a lot more fun about it, until the actual launch breaks her spine.

She goes flying in silence the rest of the way, kind of flopping like a ragdoll end over end.
Tamiel     It's now pretty clear why Heaven, despite vastly superior technology and magic, hasn't just conquered ALL of the planet. Their rule and assault depends largely on the Grigori and Cherubs, which are now being disgorged to back up the undead hordes, which are more expendable. While the Cherubs are tough super-soldiers, and the Grigori flying assault platforms, they are in the end weapons of TERROR, and not specialized for sieges or the like. They are CAPABLE of it, but the heavy anti-air fire is already a problem, especially when a squadron of fighter jets streaks by and exchanges fire with those in the sky. One of the jets goes down from the counterattack, but the squadron takes out three Grigori with missile barrages on the way. The city itself is used to assaults, so they're concentrating on the Cherubs and undead with heavy fire, though the battlemages are required to form up ranks and volley flame at the undead to be more effective. It looks like they don't have any 'Holy' magics available.

Basically, the cannon fodder is fighting the cannon fodder.

Berserker isn't a Caster, but is competent enough that the gate reinforces, while another mage sends some long-range blasts toward Lezard. The mage is pretty weak though, so won't be a threat. Some anti-air fire spatters at the incoming Lu-Mey and Ao-hime, but since such a tactic isn't often used, they aren't really prepared for it. Instead, when the two crash down they'll have to deal with numerous troops directed from the barracks toward them, with assault rifles to back them up.

More troops are heading toward the side though. Tamiel is not great at subtlety either, but with the gates under fire she can get a chance to poke a hole in the defenses as she herself swoops down from the transport in the distance. A lance materializes in her hand, hurled at high speed toward one of the anti-air emplacements to destroy it, allowing her to come in toward the city at high speed. They'll have to split their forces to deal with her and Lu-Mey and Ao-hime, unless someone does something.
Shin Tokuyama     Amusingly, Shin doesn't seem to have any real reaction to Berserker's possessive actions beyond a bright smile and an almost goofy sort of floppy-hand wave, "HEY! We talked on radio about animes!" He's not romantically interested in Kay, so he doesn't see a reason to show much reaction to Berserker's reaction to his presence. He cast Kay into a different, non love interest role, so he's just not regarding her that way.

"Oh neat! Approaching armies. Time for some Romance of the Three Kingdoms wuxia bullshit, eh?" Shin remarks, starting to undo his tie. He takes off the tie, the suit jacket, and the sunglasses. They're all folded and placed into a side-satchel on his motorcycle. And then he unbuttons a couple buttons on the dress shirt and starts rolling the sleeves up to his elbows.

"Alright. I'll hold the gates, you guys do what you need to," Shin comments, planting a foot down, "Cobra Kai Times One." He remarks, a faint, almost invisible red glow starting to surround him along with some gently wafting wind to kick up dust and dirt for theatrics.

Hands lift up and clench into fists, knuckles and joints popping as Shin flexes and the muscles in his arms become defined and apparent. He's put a lot of practice into making his pre-battle preparation look suitably awesome. And then he starts walking towards the gates, hopping up and over them.

He lands outside, in front of the gates, and strikes a martial arts pose, one hand curled into a fist at his side and the other held out flat in front of him. The fingers of the latter hand bend a bit in a 'come at me' motion towards the undead and Heavenly army, "Heh, sorry. But I've got to hold these gates just long enough. Even if it costs me my life.

    . o O (Awww, yeah. What a great line.)

And then he dashes forward, moving pretty impressively towards the front line of approaching fighters. His opening move is inspired by Mordred, but mastered by himself. He curls his hand back and says, "POWER!"

And he nears the front line, his hand slams into... the ground, "GEYSAH!" There's a blast of ki as the entire area in a cone in front of him is engulfed in a ki-and-fire explosion.
Valentha Summers     "Can't say I have! Show me what you've got!" Valentha challenges Crys, before ducking out of sight and... well, who knows. But when she re-emerges, there's no sign of her Hovercycle.

In fact, her re-appearance is in a flash of blue light not far from Shin. She emerges from a cloud of raw magical energy that sizzles and crackles before dispersing. Several weapons dangle from her belt, but first... first, she leaps easily to Shin's side in-between the beat-em-up encounters.

"We STILL need to talk later. But for now... here."

She's rapidly murmuring syllables to some spell and gesturing with one hand. First, a force field shimmers into existence around Shin, only to jsut as suddenly vanish - but it remains as invisible protection. Then... then...

Then Shin will feel a huge RUSH of energy flowing into his body. Boundless power. Smells like magic. Tastes blue. Muscles ripple and sizzle, reflexes sharpen, skin toughens. It's like being injected with a tremendous amount of pure life, or perhaps qi, making that dramatic red aura more than just show.

And not straining his body at all, woo!
Lu-Mey     Okay it's not so much a crash down, it's more of a THUMP, as Ao-Hime regains her balance in the air, landing on two feet with enough force to crater the earth and crack stone.
Lu-Mey lands shortly after with a sick ~SPLRTCH~ as she hits the wall right next to the princess with a bone crunching splatter, anti-air charred body painting stone red, much in the manner of a mosquito slamming into a windshield.

"Oh EW she's in my -HAIR-!" The cyborg princess squeals at a particularly nast chunk o' Lu landing on her head.

In an instant, though, the mechanical princess draws her weapons, twin handguns, snapping out in a twirl and flourish, already beginning a blistering hail of fire at any troops diverted her way. "So where we headed, boss?"

Lu-Mey's reply is a particularly sloppy dripping noise and a wet 'plrp!'.

"Yeah, I'll hang out here until you make up your mind."
Kay     All right! Battle is underway! The city below is invaded! Shin goes off to take care of Lezard! Kay actually thinks to say, "HEY! BE CAREFUL!" She actually does care what happens to Shin. "You too, Berserker. Don't bite off more than you can chew, I might need you nearby to fight..."

She trails off, looking around at where she stands and the incoming Grigori streaking toward the city. That... isn't good. "Shit."

Oh well, nothing for it. Unslinging her own assault rifle, she starts sending short controlled bursts toward Tamiel, while the nearest demon lumbers forward to spit out a hisstin stream of flame. Levi hops up, cracking knuckles, and if Tamiel swoops in close enough she's going to try for a flying tackle.
Lezard Valeth The magical defenses increasing on the front gates cause Lezard to frown. "If I did not know better I would think someone competent was in the city." He states aloud, knowing no one is actually around to hear it.

Meanwhile, the undead are being rained down upon with deadly fire. Skeletons and vampires perish en masse as gunfire, rockets, and spells tear them apart, but their remains build up in the killing area, starting to create mounds of shattered corpses.

And yet they keep coming. Lezard has all the forces he needs to potentially wear the city down, but it would take a great deal of time to exhaust their supplies.

At least, until Shin drops into their midst. The undead pause, giving Shin the time to make his amazing quote. Even they obey dramatic law. The moment Shin moves, so do the undead, the rotting corpses raising their weapons to charge forward...

Right into the POWER GEYSAH. The explosion of ki rips upwards, hurling shattered undead away in a long wave from the assault of Shin Tokyama, tearing open a ragged gap in the undead's lines that the Combat Vagrant can exploit to push ahead if he wishes. He'll need to move fast, though, because it will get filled back in over time. Or maybe that's what he wants. I mean, if things want to just RUN INTO HIS FISTS that would be convenient, right? Either way, Shin is in his element: A target-rich environment that can be kung-fud into the ground.

Speaking of time and elements, this is about the time that some mage thinks it's a good idea to hurl a blast at Lezard Valeth, going for the money shot. With a flare of magical defenses, however, the blast impacts a seething barrier and slides off. Lezard's eyes narrow. "Did you really think you could withstand /my magic/?" He calls aloud, his voice reverberating across the battlefield as he calls up a mighty spell. A crimson circle of magic etches itself into the ground around him, and he begins to incant:

"IN MY HAND, THE CREATORS SWORD WHICH CALLS ETERNAL SLEEP!"

There is a flare of light as Lezard strikes the ground, brilliant cracks spteading outwards and rumbling with awakened magmatic fury. Th ground shudders and begins emitting light upwards, tracing the cracks as a powersul seismic disturbence begins to move.

"HONOR OUR PACT AND HEAR MY COMMAND!"

The cracks strike towards the wall from multiple vectors, hmoing in on the great gate.... And then they converge.

                              "ANIMATE EARTH!"

With a sudden twisting jolt of earth, the ground splits, a magmatic explosion ripping upwards from the point of convergence, assaulting the reinforced barrier in an attempt to simply overwhelm the defenses with raw power.

He's not being all that subtle today.
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz is chattering on the radio now with her allies and is already moving in and she smirks.

"I don't need to prove myself to anyone."

Comes the odd note but Crys is movng in with the chaindwored and will deal with any hostiles that get in her way as she's making to get into town there was the report of a mestery box that's in the enter of town. The Newman keeps running unless something or someone will get in her way and then comes the fire from Lezard which is just going to be painful to deal with as she attempts to not get caught up in it but that is g0oing to delay her... in getting to her objective.
Berserker Berserker smugs at her reinforcement... even if that sort of magic isn't her specialty. She doesn't precisely use magecraft, since her witchcraft is part of her servant abilities itself, but it does have to follow similar rules. And then Lezard uses Animate Earth and... summons a volcanic eruption? "THAT ISN'T EARTH! THAT'S AN EXPLOSION OF FIRE! YOU'RE A LIAR!"

The young-looking girl stomps her foot and glares, then out of SHEER SPITE sends a trio of small fireballs toward Lezard. They aren't actually close enough to do much damage, if any, she's just annoyed and throwing a bit of a tantrum. She isn't SUPER MAD yet, fortunately... that's just an annoyance, not something that sets her off. Especially when the eruption causes the gates to crack and rumble, the blast bringing an eruption of dust out from the sides. The gates are technically still there, and technically still standing, but a stiff breeze could topple them after that. At least they're still mostly in one piece instead of utterly shattered... for all the good that does in this situation. She should probably go and fight Lezard.

Yet...

Last time she did that, she let Kay get mauled, and it looks like Tamiel is headed her way.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin, before his own fight begins, looks over his shoulder and gives her a thumbs up and a smile that practically toothgleams, "You got it."

Shin carves himself a huge path that looks pretty awesome as he walks forward, leaving gate reinforcement to Berserker as he attempts to divert and distract Lezard's army via his presence and the difficulty in killing him, "Oh yeah. This is gonna be g-"

Two things happen to Shin in close proximity. The ground splits an explosion happens, engulfing him mid-advance in its entirety. This happens in tandem with Valentha's buff falling upon him to elevate him to supposedly superhuman levels. So the way this resolves is that as the explosion subsides, Shin is standing right where he was before. But... he looks slightly dinged up. Well, actually more than slightly.

He's shirtless, first of all, which looks pretty nice. He's definitely a fit dude, though covered in scars and various injuries. And then, all over his shirtless upper body, he has scorches and open small gashes from the force of the explosion. But he's grinning and lifting his hands up, "We'll need to talk later, yeah. But for now, I gotta play the hero."

Shin holds up his hand and... there's a belt in it. It reads 'Saito Industries' across it. With a smooth motion he wraps the belt around his waist and then presses the buckle. There's a glow and a hum before... it starts to play music. Specifically, very loud and driving J-Rock. It's one of the Kiyoko Saito Theme Song Belts. He bought it off eBay.

    http://puu.sh/lJJGI/33e0a2b5a6.mp3

With his theme music now loudly blaring, Shin flips his hair back and charges forward into the line of undead advancing troops. Every time one of them takes a swipe or a swing at him, he dodges numbly, going under it. And then he swings his fist forward, hitting a shield or one of the undead in the chest.

Every impact brings a massive explosion of ki and energy before blowing up whatever he just hit in a messy explosion that sends their component parts flying across the battlefield with his single punches. He's deftly, nimbly, and professionally weaving his way through an entire army and sending dudes explosion hither, thither and yon as he makes his way towards Lezard.

This would be REALLY impressive, but frankly these are undead and they're supposed to die this way. It LOOKS cool, though.
Tamiel     Bullets hail upon the incoming troops, taking down a few. The others are not stupid, and hurry to take cover around buildings and vehicles. "MEN! Keep steady! DOn't let them get to the bunker!" They start laying down scattered fire, returning Ao-hime's shots with some less well-aimed ones of their own. They are competent, however, just not Elite-level. Hopefully Crys can support them.
Valentha Summers     The Earth itself has become a weapon against the city and its defenders! Blazing magma erupts from fissures all around Valentha. Her lips peel back in rather unhappy anticipation of the agony that's about to come. And come it does.

The GEYSER OF MAGMA washes over her. A magical barrier was already in place around her before she arrived and it takes the brunt of the blast, but... it fizzles out midway through the explosion! Of course that explosion has her completely engulfed... and when it's finished she's revealed doubled over, covered in burning, scorching magma. NOT INCINERATED. The glowing molten goop's sticky and stinky. Her outfit has been utterly incinerated save for a few remaining shreds. Most of her gear's gone with it, melted to slag. The only things that seem to have survived are a few gadgets she curled her gut over to protect.

Her hair's smoldering (as opposed to, oddly, NOT fully ablaze) and skin bubbles painfully, yet not a single scream was squeezed from her by all this pain. Instead she steps forward with molten magma DRIPPING from her half-naked body, pulling free of the hazard. A skeleton that just so happens to get near her takes a swing with its weapon and--

    CLAAAAAAAAAANG!

The old, rusty sword's grabbed barehanded, and SNAPPED like a twig as the young woman clenches that hand into a fist.

"You ruined. My favorite Streetwolf. Outfit."

One brutal motion later and that hand casually tears through the entire mass of bones and armor as if it were nothing more than paper.

"Do you have ANY IDEA how much these cost? Sorcerer, your recompense shall be in SCREAMS!"

The gadgets are tossed aside casually and simply start hovering in the air. Then her burning flesh ripples and changes, tearing apart the remains of her outfit in no time at all. Eyes shift from human to reptilian first, her predatory GLARE cutting across the battlefield straight for Lezard's attention. Then Valentha Summers is no more.

The human guise melts away, metamorphing into something much bigger. Four legs thick as tree trunks and a great tail, reptilian skin covered in spikes. The GREAT HORNED DRAGON'S hide is the same shade of gold as her hair was, gleaming brightly amidst the glowing molten earth. The burns inflicted upon it where flesh and scales have been scorched and boiled.... are visibly healing.

The very next moment, Valenthanixa is off like a beast through the armor, sweeping through formations and hordes with a swinging tail and sweeping arms, slamming claws. Every five to ten seconds her body glows blue and flickers out, taking her somewhere else amidst the horde - making counter-tactics quite a hassle, because it's just seemingly impossible to PIN HER DOWN.

Then with a final teleport she's in the air, swooping just above Lezard's ground forces. Oh, it's quite easy to see what's coming. The INDIGNATION in her eyes is locked onto him.

    Great lungs inhale, then... FWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!

The Dragon strafes a huge plume of fiery breath across amassed undead monsters, with Lezard caught in the tail end of it.

In its wake, skeletons are reduced to ash instantly. The ground has become MOLTEN and hardens into glassy terrain. Best not to treat it like ordinary fire.
Lu-Mey     Ao-Hime dances through the flurry, a well practiced kata of dodges and sweeping swates of nearly automatic hair-trigger gunfire. "You know boss, I think letting me watch all those movies helped."

'Splrt!' Lu-Mey replies chipperly as she peels off the wall, splattering flat on the ground now ina mess of red paste. There is however... A POP. A sudden twitch. The lifeless oni's wrecked and mangled corpse begins to squirm, writhing as bones re-break and begin to knit properly, flesh squirming, CRAWLING visibly as bruises and scrapes begin to fade away, and after a long moment...

She picks herself up as good as new, flicking open a silk fan and covering her face. "Well, Chokehold was pretty great, she decides, already skipping TOWARDS the direction of the gunfire.

Before a bullet catches her clean between the eyes. "... Ara?"

Lu-Mey crumples like a sack of potatos.

    Ao-Hime sighs heavily.

It's okay, because she's already picking herself up, snatching for the nearest soldier she can grasp.

The smile is disarmingly sweet, despite the hole in her face already beginning to squirm itself closed. "So~. Bunker? I'll let you live if you tell me which way<3"
Tamiel     Tamiel is incoming, and Kay... actually tries to fight. The masked 'angel' flaps wings, stalling in mid-flight, but not fast enough. A flick of the arm raises a shining barrier that the bullets ping off of harmlessly, but the stream of flame catches on her left arm, starting to burn it upward and forcing her to jerk it back, to flap wings wildly as she pats it down and tries to put it out. This is enough of a distraction that Levi has a surprisingly easy time slamming into her and bearing her down to the stone below. The snap of a wing bone breaking can be heard as well. Is /this/ the feared Tamiel?

The Armament System shimmers, summoning three items. The first is a sword, which roars with HOLY power and slices toward Levi. The other two are short spikes, fired toward Kay in an attempt to basically crucify her against the wall.

"Kay, wasn't it? We meet again," she mutters, flexing her arm while trying to fight off Levi. The flames are put out, but two fingers are raw bone now.
Tamiel     The soldier sputters as the apparently-immortal foe questions him. "W-wha... t-toward the center, but even you can't make it in!" HE clutches at Lu-Mey, just staring at the bullet hole while one of his companions pops out of cover and tries to aim a shot at Lu-Mey's hand, to free his comrade.
Lezard Valeth Lezard's entire reason for being here was to serve as a giant distraction for the forces present.

It looks like he's succeeded in that goal, as he seems to have drawn a Servant, a Dragon, and a Hero of Fists, which Lezard has decided is a proper upgrade from Combat Vagrant after seeing what the man is doing to his army. Shin is a walking tornado of undead destruction. Shards of bone and torn rotten flesh fly, disintegrating under the intense strikes of Shin. The man crushes to his theme music, causing even the Necromancer of Midgard to take note as he begins single-handedly pushing the enemies back where the defenses were only holding them off.

Valentha supplements this with teleportation tactics and a wave of dragonflame, scorching through the area and annihilating a flank from Shin's mighty assault. Berzerker rains down a salvo of flames to join the strike, slamming down upon Lezard, whom vanishes in the eruption of consuming death.

And as the smoke rises, there is a voice. "Hmm hmm hmm. I appears that there are heroes yet in the Multiverse." The smoke wafts away, revealing Lezard standing there, part of his cape smouldering and a scorchmark across his face as he stands in a circle of unmelted ground. "So much noise, however, for so little power. While you have triumphed over the hordes of Niflheim, you will find that /I am no mere mage!/"

There is an explosion of force as Lezard twists a hand in the air, purple flames engulfing his free hand and rolling in his palm. "I will annihilate the lot of you!" He raises his staff, and points it towards the trio. "DARK SAVIOR!" He calls. With a seething wave of blackness, shadows forge themselves into long blades and spear, shearing downwards in a rain as Lezard hurls down seperate groups of elemental constructs at all three of them. At least he's standing still for the moment, however!
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz actually may think she's seeking out a box, but is going to get a very nasty shock that it's i no way a box that might have a Solid Snake hiding in it. What is it other than a box? It's some kind of Lu-Mey. Crys may have heard of her a few times over the years but she's never directly encountered this demon she sees the trooper that Lu-Mey has. She would hear the whir of Crys's Chainsawed. She calls out.

"Let him go, you want a real fight? I'll give you one."

She moves in but she's mindful of the hostage as she goes and her off hand has a burst of flame building up in it. Her lone eye looks at Lu-mey sizing her up and her stance changes this isn't going to be easy.
Lu-Mey     Lu-Mey is some kind of Lu-Mey alright, and once her face has spat up the bullet and sealed itself all closed and proper, she clicks her teeth thoughtfully. "Thank you~." Chirruped to the man before-

Her hand gets shot clean off- it's still holding onto him to boot. It's probably a horrifying moment, and for Lu-Mey it's definitely a painful one as she draws back the bloody stump with a screech.

"I CAN'T LET HIM GO IF IT'S NOT ATTACHED!" Wailed to Crys before the Newman unleashes...

    Fire.

If the shriek of pain when Lu-Mey's hand came off was bad enough, the sudden burst of flames earns a TERRIFIED howl as she quickly backs up, trying to pat the flames off her dress-- making sure to grab her severed hand first. It is probably for the best she brought Ao-hime with her. A sudden flourish of blue silk, and the princess swoops in. "Sorry- but I don't think she's too hot on that idea."

"Big sister, that was terrible." Aka-Hime pipes over the radio as Ao-Hime opens fire on Crys.
Kay     Uh oh. Yeah really uh oh. A HOLY blade shears right through Levi's arm, sending her jerking back with a rare utterance of a SHRIEK! She staggers back with a dazed look, her wound smoking and sputtering into flame, while Kay jerks from the lancing pain transferred to her body, the blonde rocking back in shock. "GAH!" After all, Grigori NORMALLY don't use holy attacks.

And then the spikes just add to the problem. Kay is, unfortunately, in no shape to handle this. She's at her weakest right now, after summoning, and a mere rifle is not helping. The spikes puncture her arms with a jolt of pain, pinning her against the wall with a short and jerky gasp.

She'd heard from Fairchild that Tamiel knew her name, but it was hard to believe it at the time. Now... kind of hard to deny. "Why the... fuck do you want anything to do with me?"
Shin Tokuyama     Shin is mulching through as many of the undead as he can, trying to give the wall enough time to hold them back as he sends huge swaths of dudes flying back with his singular punches empowered by both Ki and Valentha's buffs. Valentha and Berserker clear him a path and some free space, though, and he's going to capitalize on it.

So he sprints forward towards Lezard as fast as his body can take him, moving at a good clip across the battlefield while still trying to send the army scattering and hold the front. He is, however, halted in his advance when he's impaled by countless spears and blades from the Dark Savior attack. They pincushion him and bring him to a dead stop in his movements, wobbling on his feet as blood pours from him onto the ground, puddling at his feet.

"Is this... my limit? Is this... as far as I go..."

He starts to slump forward, blood sloshing around him as he does so. Only, just before he hits the ground, bent at about fourty-five degrees, he plants a foot down firmly and, looking down at the ground, gives a blood smile, teeth stained red at that moment.

"Heh... nah. Just being dramatic. Geiha Genkou Ryu, Secret Technique. Heavenly Reincarnation."

He inhales a deep breath, as a red light washes over him. It takes a lot out of him, but almost every injury on his body heals rapidly from nearly dead to almost fully healed, at the cost of most of his normally immense ki reserves. Though his torso still carries scars from where he was pierced. It's pretty obvious he can only do that the once today, and that it saved his life just then.

And then he rushes forward, aiming to catch Lezard with a haymaker punch as he stands still in the middle of the battlefield.
Berserker Berserker... hesitates. Odd, for one with her name, isn't it? It's because she sees Tamiel coming in... and thus the rain of spears is going to be a worry. Her fan flicks up, a sort of shimmering barrier attempting to block, but one of the spears shatters right through and impales her on the shoulder with a short, sharp cry that tears through her, spurting blood and giving Lezard the 'answer' over the broadband that he asks.

The others are right, though. She can't stay here. "Another... time..."

She vanishes in a whisp of mana, dematerializing and heading toward Kay, where she's going to rematerialize. Unfortunately, that gives Tamiel more time than she'd like. If she hadn't been IMPALED she could have come faster.
Valentha Summers     The army is scorched and pulverized by the three heroes, and Valentha sees fit to land near Shin after swooping around. It's perhaps fortunate that her draconic form is not terribly expressionate besides 'normal' and 'ANGRY' because the sheer amount of magic Lezard's summoning up has her fretting considerably.

She has never seen a human of any variety wield THIS much power so casually. Not without drawing on a ley line or hundreds of sacrificed innocents. Just how much power does the man HAVE?

It easily rivals her own stores. Perhaps even surpasses it.

But there's no time to waste. No time at all. She extends a claw and begins a chant that's unlike the previous spells. The syllables are words of power that one rarely hears in any world. A language only a rare few men of magic learn the depths of. It's an archaic, all but lost tongue that she's chanting in while Lezard names his spell. One that sends chills down the spine of anyone who hears it. There's something foreboding, something DREADFUL about it.

This is NOT the typical 'fireball' or 'call lightning' or 'superhuman strength.'

Nor is it a Spell of Legend, though it borders such.

The mighty dragon stands stalwart as the necromantic energies of chaos converge. Her hide is mighty enough to repel spears and bullets, it can weather ANYTHING... for a time.

    Or so she hopes.

She stands stalwart even as the spears pierce through the defense she counts on most. They slice her hide clear through as if it were paper. Gallons of blood spill and her legs tremble. One wing is shredded to bits and falls tot he ground bleeding.

Yet her chant goes uninterrupted even as her neck suffers several cuts, her extended forearm takes several blows and barely trembles. Pure willpower shows the discipline of a true wizard. A real wizard can stand through pain and chant even as he is disemboweled. That is their hallmark.

With a final mystic cry the dragon bellows forth a final word of power and gestures for the sky.

A tiny blue bolt is the result of her mighty spell. The bolt reaches the heavens in no time.... and the heavens CHURN. They rumble, they swirl, they storm. It goes from clear to dark grey and rumbly all but instantly... and it STAYS THAT WAY. A baleful wind scours the scorched plains as the swirling clouds grow, covering the whole battlefield. Blue lightning dances from thunderhead to thunderhead and an incredible pressure rolls in from that.

A large area that ends just outside the walls is SLAMMED by this invisible mystic pressure. The area feels dead and chill, cold and dreary. No harm is done... but all of the ambient mana is sucked off instantly. Magic itself is DENIED. Magic holds no power in this region. While that storm rages in the sky, magic is powerless.

And it coincides right with Shin's attack, as Valentha hopes to cripple Lezard's defenses.
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz did not expect that level of fear ith Lu-Mey's power she clealry shows this on her face and she had not expecte that much of an impact on Lu-Mey either. She's going to be wary her foe is angry and prehaps afraid. Which means they will fight all the harder or so she thinks. She doesn't fire another burst of flame she is however moving in on Lu-Mey. Then Ao-hime opens fire which forces Crys back she brings up her right arm and starts to try to parry the shots with an energy barrier focing her to focus on parrying the shots rather than attempting to attack for the moment.
Tamiel     It's a good question from Kay. Tamiel picks herself up, with a warning look toward Levi. "Stay, and this will be over quickly. I have no wish, at this time, to kill your Master." And besides, if Levi attacks she'll just get stabbed again.

Tamiel's hand shines as it regenerates, new skin crawling over the charred, burnt skin. She keeps the blade, and lets the spikes remain as well, feeding them enough magic to last a few minutes at least. Now she can answer Kay's question, while her wing pops back into place. "I do not know. But I will find out. If you can speak to me in a week, then we will see one another again. It should be a simple matter. If not, then you are no one of consequence and I have no further interest in you."

Unless miraculously stopped, she'll whip her blade about and plunge it toward Kay's heart in a quick thrust, though she'll pull back immediately rather than leave her impaled.
Lezard Valeth Berserker leaves to save her Master. This is wise. Her Master will need her help. Lezard could respect such loyalty, even if it is partially because of the obvious danger of one's link ot the world being severed.

Self interest is much more dependable than anything like 'friendship', after all.

However, there are still two major foes on the field: The dragon Valentha, and Shin Tokuyama, the recently christened 'Hero of Fists'. When Shin falls before him, Lezard shakes his head and sighs. "Perhaps I was too early in calling you a 'hero'." He states. He takes a step forward and raises his staff, about to deliver a killing blow. "This is the end-"

This is when Shin slams straight towards him. There is a low sizzle as he begins to impact a protective barrier, and then crashes through it, smashing into Lezard as his eyes widen. "HURK!" He says eloquently, trying to recover...

But then the anti-magic cloud descends. A host of magical protections flicker and die around Lezard, sizzling and popping into nothingness. The purple flames around his hand also die out as he hits the ground, lying there on his back.

He stares up into the sky, listening to the taunting and retorts.

But then he begins to laugh. His laughs is long, loud, and uproarious as he suddenly moves quickly, slamming the Catalyst int othe ground to use as leverage to kick out at Shin, then pushes himself back up to stand there, scowling.

"I told you before... I AM NO MERE MAGE!" He declares, as he withdraws a series of flasks from his cape, and hurls them. Upon impact, they shatter, creating powerful explosions as he lunges forward, sweeping the Catalyst towards Shin with a brutal series of strikes. While Shin has technique and Fineese, Lezard lacks such... But the staff strikes with intense force that seems to pass beyond the nature of mere enchantment, hitting with bone-crushing force as it not only hits physically, but also impsrts a deadly Dark energy that seems to dissolve what living matter it touches, consuing it and making it a part of the nebulous blackness that it exudes, like some kind of magical acid.
Lu-Mey     "Nononononononononononono!"

For a good moment... Lu-Mey does her best Shia Lebeouf impersionation, her will and bravado pushed to the back in a wild drive for self preservation at the thought of fire. She latches right on to Ao-Hime's back, earning a squawk of protest and confusion from her pet princess, and forcing the mechanical girl to not only try to hold Crys at bay, but also cover the gibbering oni on her back.

It might be why the sudden explosive eruption from her legs LAUNCHES her forward, slinging her guns away, she tries to SLAM herself and her passenger-oni into Crys with the force of a speeding car, in hopes of getting by "Just get out of the way!"
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz is being kept at bay for the moment, but it can't last forever as the attack lets up for a moment Crys is fast to act her boots find purchaed on the ruined groun as she actully moves to charge the orbot as she's coming right at her. She knwos this is going to hurt a heck of a lot but she prays her frame will be able to dampen enough energy to allow her to endure this. She's actually moving right at her or it looks like she's going to impact at the last moment sbe breaks to the side and moves her chainsawed blade trying to catch the mechanical girl on the pass with the chainsaw like weapon.
Shin Tokuyama     Shin is panting and wobbling after his attack, "Motherfucker that hurt. But I'mma try to not give you high school flashbacks when I give you a swi-" Shin will never get to finish that thought, because even without magic, Lezard is coming at him full force with alchemy and the Catalyst of Manus.

The Combat Vagrant is surrounded by explosions as he tries to hop backwards and away. This leaves him, unfortunately, vulnerable to the advancing swings of the staff, "Shit shit shit. Class 5 Nerd Rage!" While humorous in phrasing, the concern in his voice is real as he ducks under one of the swings. He won't be so lucky for the others.

The heavy strike of that catalyst produces the telltale crack of bones as it impacts Shin's left side, sending him staggering and reeling with some heavy rib damage and the eroding darkness causes flashes as it crashes against his internal reinforcement from both Valentha and his own ki. But Shin is quick to clamor back to his feet and the next strike connects just as he does. But this time he doesn't fall over, instead he skids against the ground. He's brought his left arm and his right palm up to sponge the attack.

"Don't care if you... kill me. That's fine. But I won't... accept failure on my part," He says to Lezard, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth from the internal injuries of his first attack. He takes a slow breath, "And I promised to hold that gate."

And so, considering his arms and hand is in incredible pain from stopping the catalyst, Shin does all he really can. He desperately lunges forward to try to headbutt Lezard in the center of the face as a desperation move. Maybe he can break his glasses and even the playing field?
Kay     Just saying that to Levi isn't very reassuring. She hisses loudly, and the little demon circles warily, less to keep distance like she was told and more to... well... look for an opening in Tamiel's defenses, in order to take her down again or at least give Kay a chance to escape.

Which isn't happening, because Tamiel is pretty quick about what she's doing. Kay scowls, "You're being cryptic or something. Look, I'm just a wanderer and I'm barely even involved in the war. I don't really care that mu-*"

The blade slides through her ribs.

Kay's eyes widen in shock, with a cough of blood erupting from her mouth as her heart is punctured and the blockage removed in one smooth motion. Her body goes limp, heartbeat naturally stopping instantly after a small spasm forces blood to erupt from her mouth and the gaping chest wound, splattering over the angel and the floor of the now-burning watchtower.

Levi hisses loudly, but clutches her own chest, dropping to her knees as the shared connection sends a lance of pain through HER body as well.
Valentha Summers     Valentha is weary. Surprisingly, that spell didn't take a lot out of her. As far as magical energies go she's barely used even a quarter of her reserves. But...

Weathering two enormous magical blasts of such a foul nature, particularly in taking DARK SAVIOR head-on... that has left her in agony and injured. Her flesh has surprisingly mended away the immediately bad damage. Within these twenty seconds of surprised endeavors the bleeding has stopped. Yet it could be said that Shin's regeneration is even more impressive, coming back from nearly mortal wounds.

She's been reduced to one wing, but doesn't seem to CARE.

No, the dragon's neck instead extends, her eyes going almost COMICALLY WIDE as Lezard somehow manages to OVERCOME her anti-magic field.

That. That is enough to win a major spark of respect from her. As a wizard, this man has won her respect. But.

He is still her opponent and must be driven off. yes, preferably driven off. Not killed.

She'd love to speak with him.

But first, Tokuyama is in trouble. "Warrior, stay alive!" The enormous dragon's body shifts again. This time the effort's considerable... but she shrinks back down within about five seconds to her previous human form. The wounds remain, but are quickly covered under an ILLUSIONARY WHITE GOWN, a simple piece of seamless flowing fabric that covers Valentha's body. For, naturally, she cannot shapeshift clothes. Still, apparently...

Apparently, this Anti-Magic Cloud doesn't affect -HER- at all.

    Quite a weapon.

But the dragon-woman focuses, a hand coming to grip the air as she takes a combat stance...

"So I see. But strange. A wise man would have run, forced into your position. Do you think we would strike you in the back?"

*SIZZLE-CRACK!* Power of a very different sort - spiritual of a sort, but not at all a spell or magic - gathers in her hands. With a humming crackle it solidifies into a shape rather resembling a glowing rapier with an elaborate hand-guard.

And with uncanny speed she blitzes across the short distance between her and the two warriors, aiming to stab Lezard in the KNEE with her glowing PSI-SWORD.
Lu-Mey     Ao-Hime is no mere robot! She's actually a cyborg, but the distinction doesn't matter all that much when-- CHAINSWORD. "--HOLY-!" The cyborg princess does the first thing that comes to her mind when faced with such a blatantly vicious weapon. She twists herself away from it-- putting Lu-Mey in the path and... Using the oni as a human shield.

Blood goes everywhere, and there's a shrill, howling scream of pain as the weapon makes a biting mess of dusky skin, severing the oni's OTHER arm as Ao-Hime lands. "I'M DONE. THAT'S IT, THAT IS ENOUGH FOR LU-MEY TODAY!" She decides.

    "...So we're just-"

"YES WE ARE LEAVING DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW BAD THIS HURTS."

Ao-Hime looks torn on what to do, before she hunches in a crouch. "Fine, fine, geeze. ..."

Another explosive eruption from her legs launches the princess and the oni up, intending to jump back OUT the fortified walls.

"Wait don't just LEAVE MY ARM BEHIND!"

"... It's just an arm, You'll grow a new one?"

"But I liked that arm, it was my arm, I was attached to it..."

Well she's not anymore. This doesn't stop it from twitching, writhing with sick life from within as the detached limb flips over, curls its fingers... And flashes Crys a rather nasty one-fingered gesture.
Berserker That's a thing. Berserker is still materializing, though given Tamiel's powers the angel had to know she was nearing the place. KNowing Tamiel, the angel wasn't worried about Berserker... and given Berserker's displays of power so far, that was not an unreasonable assumption, was it?

Materializing right next to Kay being stabbed through the heart is really not what she was hoping to do. "MASTER!" It's an unsurprisingly anguished cry, given how she's hung all over Kay the entire time. But her REACTION doesn't have her dropping to the floor to her knees, nor weeping. Instead, it has her turning to the masked angel with a sudden look of fury. "You... took her..."

"SHE WAS MINE!"

The furious, petite little girl's eyes glow golden, and for a brief moment, an aura of flickering blue power wreaths her body, her appearance shifting subtly to show the horns on either side of her head.

"Burn."

She's a little careless in what follows. The watchtower EXPLODES from within, the walls blasted apart and the foor torn away by the rapidly-growing form of the serpentine dragon. Blazing blue, it roars angrily and crackles with lightning, hissing across stone and instantly melting it into a glassy finish. "BURNBURNBURNBURNBURNDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!"

Lightning arcs down toward Tamiel in a careless spray of blasts that tear up the floorboards and shatter stone.
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz is just trying to hold the line here her machine scores at hit and then the cyborg does something she wasn't expecting. She used Lu-Mey to take the hit and there's well? A bloody mess and loest leave it at that, and some of this uis all over her. She comes baout for another attack. She knows she cna't keep up with them at the speed they are going however she looks down at the arm after Lu-Mey and her partner have fled.

She has a bad feeling if she'd not caught Lu-Mey off guard liek she did? She would be in a lot of pain right now. However as the finger flips her off? Crys races one hand at it looks down.

"Foie"

An there's another burst of flame hopefully enough to put and end to /that. That Oni had seriously wigged her out.
Tamiel     Tamiel is watching Kay... but in an instant she has something else to see. "What? How did-" She cuts herself off, turning to raise a barrier toward the transforming Berserker. It shimmers into being at the last second... but she's enveloped in blasts of lightning and heat anyway, so it's unclear if it had any effect on the dragon's assault. She vanishes with the exploding watchtower's wall.

As the crackling lightning blasts everywhere, a whisp of smoke reveals Tamiel settling atop the wall, some distance away. Or, well... most of Tamiel. Her entire right half is charred and burnt, including part of her face, her skull showing through and her entire arm missing. The bones of her right leg are still there, but barely holding together, and the wing is a charred stump as well. No normal human could survive that... and even the rapidly-regenerating angel can't just pop her body back into shape after something like that.

It's entirely unprecedented, and she, as usual, freezes without any knowledge of what to do. So it's good that Lezard is suggesting a retreat. Even the angelic forces are starting to falter, though ammunition for the humans is running low as well. Tamiel reluctantly lets herself slide off the wall rather than continue facing the dragon, tumbling away while still smoldering.
Lezard Valeth Lezard strikes Shin and sends him reeling backwards. That is how he expected things to work out. However, he still faces this Hero of Fists as well as the Dragon.

This is getting unpleasant. Despite his efforts, he is taking damage. The Necromancer steps in to try to strike Shin, but finds his forehead slamming into his. There is a splash of blood and a shattering of glass as his lenses break, along with his nose. He reaches up to his face, removing the glasses and scowling as he looks at the shattered, twisted glass and metal... And he hurls it to the ground. "You..." He hisses, though it loses a little effect with a broken nose. "You damned persistent little..."

Valentha interrupts yet another potential killing blow by forcing Lezard to parry the incoming strike, the Catalyst hooking the psy-blade to stop it an inch into his flesh.

"If I did not know better..." Lezard hisses. "I would think you had a belief you could /win/ this battle. I do what I believe is necessary." There is a sudden motion, and the Manus Catalyst surges twisting and shattering the weapon into brilliant fragments.

The Sorceror of Midgard, at this point, staggers backwards. "You have not won this day. You have only staved off the inevitable." He states, though he turns, hissing with effort as he raises his hands,

Azure lightning roils around him as he marshalls his power, pitting his own considerable force against the Anti-Magic Cloud.... And with a roar, there is a shatter ing noise, the fabric of magic warping in the area as a circle appears below him, as well as the falling Tamiel, slowly forming and filling in.
5rOnce they do so, both will vanish. teleporting away. The remaining remnants of the undead vanish, descending back to the abyss whence they came.
Kay     That's a great thing to see! Too bad Kay is now DEAD!

Or is she? Berserker doesn't seem to be running out of mana despite using the Noble Phantasm like that, and Kay is slumping to the ground with a sudden, lurching COUGH. It's just one, and a spurt from her chest, but it was definitely a heartbeat of some kind. Then she's still again, though surprisingly not too pale. Levi hurriedly darts over and cradles Kay into her arms, looking up at the dragon with no small amount of fear in her usually stoic face.
Shin Tokuyama     "Me? Nah..." Shin grunts, blood streaming from his mouth as he stares Lezard in the eyes, trying to just stay up on his feet, "I know when I've lost. You're still leagues above me, guy. No way I could win." Shin wheezes out as he tries to maintain focus through a vision that really wants to fade to black and pass out, "Doesn't mean I'm gonna stop fighting, though. Just how I am."

Luckily, the darkness eroding his side has subsided, along with the darkness eating as his arms and hands. He looks roughly like he shoved both hands in the deep fryer at a fast food restaurant for the effects that the catalyst has had on his body. And he feels about the same way.

Of course, he's spared further pain and mage-inspired beatings by the fact that Kiyohime goes Full Dragon. And forces a retreat due to a maim of Tamiel. Shin knew her name was Berserker, but he had no idea she's go full on Dragon Rage. He takes a slow breath and then painfully raises his hands up into a defense stance. He's not sure he has the life left in him to lose another fight. But he's not sure how long she's gonna be nuts for either.

"Fuckin' dragons, man." He murmurs as he watches her rampage.
Berserker Unfortunately for the city, Berserker is not exactly careful. Her tail lashes, smashing another tower and setting it aflame, and as Tamiel falls a blast of lightning explodes at the spot where she was moments before. It's only the loss of a target that makes the dragon roar out, "SHE IS MINE!"

And then, with a hazy wisp of steam and flame, the form collapses into a tiny woman again, rushing toward Levi and Kay. "MASTER! Master...?" She's noticed that she's still drawing mana, at least.
Valentha Summers     So many things happen at once. Lezard batters his way free of the assault and escapes despite Valentha's baleful glaring. She makes no attempt to stop him just as promised... why risk further injury to herself or the exhausted shin?

But there's an inhuman groan from her when he finally does vanish. Weary. "That man is trouble. He isn't boasting. He may be a better wizard than I. And sadly, I have NO time to waste patching you up just yet, Tokuyama! Another ally's in much worse condition."

She turns her head to eeeeye the distant mess whilst murmuring another spell. Fly as the Eagle. Which she completes just as she reaches out to tap Shin's shoulder and squeeze... HE BENEFITS FROM THE SPELL TOO. Instinctive flight. For about an hour or so. At respectable speeds. "I'll be seeing to you later!"

She exclaims before just... taking off after Berserker and the others. She's got healing spells to cast and a life to hopefully save!
Shin Tokuyama     One might wonder where Shin went after being granted the ability to fly. Injured as he was, it's likely he couldn't have gotten far, even with such an astounding power. And yet, if one were to scan the skies, they'd see no trace of him in that wild blue for miles and miles and miles around. It's a complete and total mystery.

    Except it's not.

Because in the commotion of Kay's injury, Valentha heading off to go help out Kay and probably work with evacuation, and whatever else is being done to secure the site after the battle, Shin's bike is gone. His suit coat thrown over his torso (still no shirt), and sunglasses on, he's riding his motorcycle off into the horizon without so much as a goodbye.

Heroes don't say goodbye. Heroes don't ask for thanks.

Shin is such a cool guy.
