Nagato     Nightfall at Hikari. The base has been battered, exploded and all around could have seen better days. The Admiral's office, however, is still pristine, the lasers missing this particular area of the Sea Port. Mutsu and Musashi stand at the windows, surveying the damage done while Atago is scribbling on notepads. The entire room's feeling gloomy over what happened a day or two ago. "Admiral, there are still sixty girls awaiting repair. That isn't including you." comes the soft voice of Nagato's secretary ship.

"Such destruction. I'm only glad that we had none of our girls sink." comes Mutsu's voice while Musashi just continues to stare out the window. "Musashi, let's go put in some effort towards the supply storage. The Supply Officer should be on the way with some emergency supplies." A nod is given to the bronze-skinned woman, the two battleships moving out the door.

Nagato shakes her head, wincing some. Her bandaged midsection coated in splotches of red. "Atago. Head to the docks. Assist Isuzu and Na-chan." And with a firm nod, Atago follows out the door with the battleships, leaving the Admiral alone in her office. "She should be coming soon."
Hoshi Amakasu     In the end, it was kind of like stepping out of one bad situation into another sort-of one. The ship that was kind enough to dispense her at Hikari left soon after, up into the air and far away, leaving Hoshi to get a nice, long look at the damage around her. She's still wearing all her kendo gear, sans the helmet tucked under her arm. But her face is so splotchy, and her eyes red from tears that still trickled from the corners of her eyes. Eventually she elects to put on her helmet to cover her shame as she goes.

She managed to stumble into one of the girls that ran about the base, but she couldn't really bring herself to talk. Instead, she pulls out her phone and types out her name, rank in the Union, and who she was looking for. When she gets the information she's looking for, Hoshi bows deeply from her waist and makes her way.

There's a quiet knock on the Admiral's door not long after, with Hoshi standing to the side. The attempts to swallow the lump in her throat don't really work well, so her voice is still raspy and croaking when she finally does talk. "It's... Amakasu."
Nagato     Chikuma looks at the girl on base... and when she sees the phone with name, rank and that she's looking for the Admiral, Chikuma gives a brief nod and points in the right direction. "Careful, it's a mess here..."

The knock on the door is given and Nagato nods. "Enter." her voice is calm but precise, a measure of her stature at the base. "Amakasu, I trust you found the office ok?" she turns around in her chair, facing the door and looking at the seat before her, as if giving a silent command to sit down. "This is the first time we've met face to face, I wish it was under better circumstance for the base and us."

A snap is given and Nagatsuki comes running in, "Head to Mamiya's and get something to drink for Amakasu, then give orders to the Sixth Destroyer Division to prepare a bunk for her." A salute from the Destroyer and she was off... "Now. Tell me everything, Amakasu."
Hoshi Amakasu     When Hoshi heard the Admiral's voice inside the room, she froze and leaned heavily against the wall. Mostly, it was fear and guilt. Here she was, sobbing like a child, called into the Admiral's office. What would she even be able to say? What compared to this damage? Nothing that she had. For a wild moment, she seriously contemplates fleeing. Before she lets her legs take her, though, she grasps the door handle and enters, her eyes clenched shut as she tried to control herself.

She comes to stand by the chair and bow before she takes her seat. "Y-yes, I found... I found it okay. Someone directed me, I didn't ask her name. I'm grateful." She takes a deep breath to try and settle her words, but her voice still doesn't sound much better. "I'm... glad to meet you as well, Admiral."

She slowly forces herself to remove her helmet, carefully setting it beside her on the floor. As expected, she looked a mess. From combat, mostly, some dirt and soot, but it was clear she wasn't very happy right now. "What happened... Why? I can't... This can't be as important as the base." As she talks, her voice starts to go out again. Dammit. Fresh tears start coming down her cheeks. "Please. I don't know what to say."
Nagato     "We each have our own things to deal with, for this we come together to deal with everything with strength. My girls are working on the base as we speak so do not worry about taking time away." Nagato sarts, offering a glass of water while she waits for the destroyer to get back. "Come, dry your eyes and take a deep breath." Nagato leans forward and a brief, comforting.. mother-like smile comes from her. "And Nagato will do just fine."

"I just want you to vent. I was not there but I heard breif snippets from the Union's radios and I heard your voice... a voice that I've heard from some of my own girls too. I just want you to tell me what's going on and... perhaps we can work through this together."

She leans back, placing her hands in her lap after setting the glass nearby. "And nothing you say here will leave this room."
Hoshi Amakasu     Hoshi quiets herself when Nagato speaks, and when the water is presented she hesitantly reaches out to take it. She slugs most of it like a champ--fighting with a Persona was hard work. The cold water helps to clear her mind, and the smile brings a tiny, shy smile from the teen as she wipes her eyes with her gi sleeve. "Thank you... Nagato. I... Sorry, I'm kind of a mess, huh?"

Venting... She hadn't really done that much lately. She never wanted to really trouble anyone with all the stuff that had been happening. "Nothing, huh..." It's tempting. Finally being able to come clean about everything. "I... I've never really been the type of person to start a fight or hurt anyone. I just wanted to be honest, and be good at kendo. Seems like neither of those went through, now." She sighs quietly, looking down. "Now I'm telling lies, and fighting people. Starting fights. There've been some Confederates helping in the Forest--but I've been so catty and rude to them. I was afraid they'd do something to my world. They promised they wouldn't--sort of. But how do I trust them?"

She sits up straight, looking at Nagato with a guilty gaze. "And then HK happens. Kyle went in without me, I got there late, and I barely even helped! All I did was annoy some Confederate and run away! I managed to grab Kyra, but if I stayed, I could've... I might've actually been able to help. All I can do is fight, but I didn't do anything to help! Just... less bad."
Nagato     Nagato nods, "No worse for wear than what I'm used to seeing." She briefly stands up to show the stained bandages, "And yes, nothing." she sits down once more and leans back, listening to Amakasu intently, her face returning to that stoic, emotionless, hardened Admiral like face. "I see." she nods once more, continuing to listen. "Things change, people change, when they join the Union. I've heard a few change from shy people to those who want to voice their minds. Ones who don't fight to take up arms in defense. But I've also seen the ones used to fighting give way to protection."

"I do not know of the lies you have been saying nor the reason why you start fights but I trust they are good reasons to lie and start. And some... very few... Confederates are able to be trusted. How to trust them... is beyond my knowledge, I have not experienced a trustworthy Confederate, however that is a question that can be answered by Admiral Psyber or the like." Nagato produces another glass as Nagatsuki comes back with a couple of large parfaits and fizzy drinks. She doesn't say a word as she drops them off and heads off.

"I've heard of what this HK has done, it's something that the Fleet won't stand for. But someone went in without you? Were you charged to defend their fleet? When you say you've barely helped, did you just show up and stand around or did you save someone from a horrible fate? Were you able to find victory on the dawn's horizon?" a pause, "Amakasu. I've arrived late before and have not helped at times and once I was held back by enemy ships when trying to get to my fleet, only to be routed. What you did does not make you a bad person nor does it mean you didn't do anything to help. You yourself grabbed Kyra and managed to retreat yes? You and Kyra are both still alive, yes?"

Nagato leans back, her smile returning, "Mamiya makes the best parfaits, doesn't she?"
Hoshi Amakasu     Hoshi can't help but give a wry chuckle when Nagato talks of people changing. Oh, she knew how things had changed. Fear and duty, then some hope, and now... It'd changed her, but the dizzying way of the Multiverse made her wonder if she was changing for the better or for the worst. There was a time she never would've assumed someone was her enemy right off the bat.

Hoshi starts explaining, slowly. "I haven't told my parents about the Mirror Forest. Or any of my classmates, who're actually in danger. But they can't know... ironic, right?" The moment the door opens, she goes silent and rigid, but suddenly there was desert and drinks. A bewildered look comes to her face as she slowly reaches out to take the parfait and have a taste. It's... Really good. "Mm... A-as for the fights, well... I was pretty angry, at first, and I said how I wanted to strike back at them... Of course assassinations came up. For a second, I wanted to, even though I told Staren that I didn't care if I lost the privilage of revenge. I guess that was another lie, but I don't want to fight like HK does. I don't want to kill anyone."

Then... the fight. Hoshi flinches a bit initially. "I told him I'd go to help, and I was on my way, but..." She starts, then falters. "B-but I could've kept Katarn--..." she falters again. "I left the bar... I saw Kyra's spell was going to blow, so Rosamond broke through the roof to take me outside. HK managed to get Katarn... I managed to get Kyra out before it collapsed, but..." She sighs a bit, spooning another bit of parfait into her mouth. "I don't know anymore. Sometimes it seems like every day just spins my head even more then the last."
Nagato     "Sometimes lies can protect the ones we care about." Nagato starts "Even I have to lie to my own Fleet." she shakes her head, watching the flinch, nodding. "It's also understandable to be that angry. I actually know that feeling personally. I can't think of a time when i wanted to assassinate anyone, however." a pause, "But there are those who I want to sink... to bring back to understanding but that's another story for later."

"There's also no harm in not wanting to kill anyone, Amakasu. That is your own choice to make and everyone in the Union and this fleet will respect it." she moves to stand up to walk around the desk, listening to how the fight went. "I heard on the radio that everyone made it alive, and I'm sure part of that was because you got Kyra out of there with Rosamond." Nagato reaches and places a hand on Amakasu's shoulder, giving it a firm, but gentle, grip. "Sometimes that happens. Sometimes, as well, things will fall into place from what your spinning head was coming around to."

Nagato looks out the window, "Amakasu, if you ever feel like you're in need of guidance, the Union has many people who can help. There's only so much I can offer to those who aren't the fleet daughters, but you are welcome to come here as well."
Hoshi Amakasu     Hoshi goes silent, sipping at her fizzy drink, her attention focused on Nagato. It seems she's calmed down significantly since she'd gotten here; the redness in her eyes is starting to fade. "Yeah... I guess I can't be the only one who got mad. Still... I should try to control it. I thought I was good at keeping calm before, but this stuff kinda threw me for a loop."

A small rumble comes from the teen's stomach, making her blush slightly as she starts attacking the parfait. She, of course, freezes when Nagato stands up and touches her shoulder, but eventually she slowly nods. "I guess... Kyra got to Katarn because I got her out," she says slowly. "Still. Next time HK does this stuff, I'm going to be prepared."

Guidance... Guidance sounds nice, but Hoshi fidgets a bit in her seat. "To be honest... I don't really know what to say to some of the people that've been here for awhile. I'm not a hero like them. Sometimes it seems they're so high in comparison... I get nervous." She coughs. "N-not that I was nerv... I'm sorry, I was kind of nervous. But... Thank you, Nagato. For everything. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know."
Nagato     "Even my girls get thrown for a loop." Nagato rubs that shoulder gently, nodding some, hearing that rumble, she keels listening to the girl, giving comforting shoulder squeezes and a slight nod. "ANd be prepared you shall be. You know what to expect and partially what to prepare for. You know that the Union will do everything in their power to help as well. You can depend on them, like I do." she gives a brief sigh, shaking her head.

"I'll be sure to ask you if I do need you for anything. For now, enjoy the parfait. I will have Nagatsuki show you to your room where you can rest. You can consider it your permanent room on base. Destroyer Division Six will be across the hall and will provide you with a change of clothes for the evening as well." Nagato finally lets go of that shoulder and moves towards the window. "You are also welcome to return back to your own home and I can have Akitsumaru provide a landing craft to the nearest warpgate there."
Hoshi Amakasu     Taking several deep breaths, Hoshi eventually nods firmly in agreement. "Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Things are pretty crazy, but everyone in the Union is willing to help out when I don't understand. Even if it's... Not exactly normal." Cue Nero, Gawain, Zero... "I said that I wanted to do my best to help my home and the Union. I want everyone to be able to depend on me. I guess that means I should be ready to depend on them, too."

With a small smile up at her new friend, Hoshi starts devouring the parfait, going at it until it was all gone. Hoshi leans back with a content sigh. "That's better... A permanent room? Heh, okay. Then I'll be sure to come around and help out from time to time." She stands and bows, even though the Admiral was turned away. "I'll call my parents and tell them I'm staying, don't worry. I'll be doing my best from now on, Admiral. I promise."
Nagato     "From the smallest destroyer to the super dreadnaughts of the fleet. From girls like you to even the Union's own Commander. Everyone depends on everyone and should be looked at for assistance and they will assist you in turn." she gives a brief nod, turning around to look at Amakasu. "And I will be grateful for your help as well, Amakasu. As you can see, there's lots to be done on the base."

Someone from out of the fleet calling her Admiral. Someone that could even fit the destroyer class ships here. "If you're intent to call me Admiral, I will also provide you duties around the base just like a member of the fleet. In turn, I will also provide you a place to stay here, protection and ease to get around everywhere." she takes a small breath, "Feel free to take the second parfait as well."
Hoshi Amakasu      Blink. "Eh? You mean it?" She's taken back by the offer. Not for the parfait, though she gives it a hungry look for a second, but for the invitation. "You want me to actually join?" A big grin comes to her face. "Yeah! Of course I'll do it." She bows again. "Well, I already promised that I'll do my best, but... you know. A-anyway, I'm grateful that you're offering me the chance."

Taking up her helmet and the second parfait, Hoshi starts going for the door, but stops and turns around. "You're super cool, by the way. I won't let you down." At least she isn't saying pretty! "I guess I'll go find the room... Was there anything else, Admiral?"
Nagato     Nagato nods, "If you're commited." a pause, and a nod as she readily accepts it. "Very well then. I shall have a destroyer class outfit ready for you in one week. I expect only your best, Amakasu. And I know you will be able to do so. Once again, I'll have Nagatsuki show you to your room, and should you desire it, I can have her temporarily assigned there to keep you company so you're not alone in the room." she pauses a bit.

Super cool, huh? That's something she's not been called before. She gives a bit of a chuckle, "Nagatsuki, report to the Admiral's office immediately." sounds of running are soon heard and a green haired girl with a crescent moon ornament in her hair opens the door. "Nagatsuki, reporting!" Nagato nods, "Show Amakasu her room. Across the hall from Destroyer Division Six. In addition, I'm reassigning you rooms to join her for a while so she gets comfortable. In addition, provide these orders to DesDivSix. They are to provide an evening outfit for her to wear and, temporarily, provide one of their own outfits to wear around the base. She's a new girl, treat her with respect as you would treat any others."

Nagatsuki gives a bright smile and a salute, "Understood!" Nagato, however, says one more thing, "You're dismissed." and promptly turns towards the window. Nagatsuki nods and salutes Amakasu, "Welcome to the fleet, come this way, I'll show you where us destroyers rest. And contrary to belief and rumors, we don't sleep in one big pile."
Hoshi Amakasu     Hoshi nods firmly again. Then it's decided. "I understand. I guess someone would be nice to--oh, hey." She coughs and falls silent as Nagatsuki makes her way in, bowing quickly when Nagato introduces her. "Hi. Thanks for the help, Ms. Nagatsuki." She's getting an outfit and everything, too! Hell yeah! When Nagatsuki makes to show her the way to her room, Hoshi follows quickly, giving a big smile to Nagato as she went.

... In piles? Hoshi coughs a bit. "I'll keep that in mind, thank you. Do you mind telling me what sort of stuff the Admiral's going to have me do?..." And on she went, going down the hallways towards a new facet of her life.
