Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis is currently at Wayne Enterprises, out on the top of th ebuilding looking at everything. He is dressed as Batman, but the cowl has not been pulled up to cover his face just yet. He sits on a small air condition unit as he thinks about a gift to get someone. "I wonder if she would like it?" he says outloud as he is using his normal voice and not the more Batman like voice he does when he is suited up. He has a radio in his ear to listen to MAx in the Batcave or Bruce, but right now it is quiet, for a change in Gotham.
Nightblind     Nightblind, meanwhile, had gone without the usual cloak. Something more streamlined was the name of the game. Mackenzie in her ear, feeding her street locations, updating on the fly. Tonight the target was one of her own -- a man from the meeting... Harold Whittaker had 'mysteriously' come into a car, rebuilt, from an accident some years ago. Ella had no idea her father's car had been recovered... and sold, its number mysteriously changed.

Whittaker would have answers. And at the moment, he was stumbling out of a bar, a lovely woman perched on either arm.

Ella exhaled. The dark shadow of grays and blacks moved along the neon lights of an alleyway, tracking his movements.

<<Be careful, Ella. Last time you met Batman he was on your turf. He... might not take so kindly to your scare tactics on his... right? Right. I know I'm right. Hey, did you know that Gotham apparently has simultaniously the best /and/ worst music scene according to the Daily Planet?>>

"... what is 'The Daily Planet?"

<<Local newspaper. Seems the dates are a bit weird though.>>

Beneatht he mask that hides her face, Ella just gives a slight smile, shaking her head. "Stay to the task. We're hunting."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks as he stands up and sighs, "I wonder if I should get another gift?" he says to himself as he pulls his cowl on and jumps, as he extends the wings form his suit and glides int he night sky. Listening tot he radio, nothign much is going on, except the usually trouble in the bar district. Heading that way, he lands on a building and leaps off again, using the air currents to help him fly. Looking, he spots something as he blinks, "Huh?" he states as he moves and activates his cloaking and lands on a roof, looking down. Hmm, he says as he thinks and jumps off the otherside of the building and glads tot he ground, landing quietly as he thinks and moves into the shadows. He powers off the cloaking device and takes the suit off, then removes the cloths on underneith and puts the suit on again, then the street cloths. He hides the cowl down the back of his shirt as he adjusts his jacket and walks towards the bar district and turns, heading towards Mr. Whittaker, having spotted him from his view above when he landed. He also looks aroudn with his eyes as he tries to see who or what that he picked up around here...
Nightblind     Nothing yet.

Whittaker is obviously inebriated, as are the two floozies with him. The three of them teeter and rock back and forth, laughing at something undoubtably, stellarly brilliant that he spouted off, turning down a wrong alleyway, thinking maybe he might get a little... extra something.

Nightblind easily bounds to a rooftop, running along the edge. She pauses, Whittaker turning around, talking to the girls and explaining how well he knows Gotham.

"Now..." he pauses, lifting his arms up from the girls' shoulders, and beginning to pat himself down. "Where... did I leave that hovercar...thing... I think.... maybe?" he trails off, patting himself down and drawing out a pack of ciggarettes from a pocket, putting one to his lips and lighting it up.

Up above, NIghtblind closes in. She draws an arrow from her quiver, nocks it to the bow, and draws.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis walks and sees him and follows as he he places his hand in his pockets. As he moves he looks aorudn the corner at him as he thinks to himself as he follows down it and keeps an eye on the skyline and area aroudn him and Whittaker. Blinking, he spots something and wishes he had Bruce's utility belt with him to get up tot he roof, but he follows along and watches the top. The one thing he does have, is a few batarangs and he readies one, in case he needs it.
Nightblind     Whittaker turns. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!" he calls out, giving a drunken salute. "It's Platypu-- no, no, wait, don't tell me. /Perry/ Right! You work for the" and he waggles his fingers "biig man Bruce Wayne. Good to see you, kid!" he drawls around his ciggarette. One of the girls looks up.

"BRuce Wayne? Like... /the/ Bruce Wayne...? Isn't he... like... a mummy at this point?" she questions. Harold gives a sloppy smile, teetrs, and holds out the fliptop container. "Smoke, kid?"

"... damn." Nightblind mutters, gently easing the tension off her bow and dodging back into the shadows...

Terry McGinnis. Why is he suddenly everywhere she is?

The air gets a little colder in the immediate area. One of the girls gives a shivver.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks and blinks, "Oh Mr. Whittaker, I was nto aware you were back in Gotham," he says to him in shocked surprise. "And no thank you, I do not touch it," he states to him as he looks at the bimbos and says nothign, just nods to them. "IT is getting close to the first snow, shouldn't you be back at your room?" he asks as he tries to talk his way out of this run in. . o 0 (He's drunk) he thinks as he smells the drink on him and his breath. "You know that the streets have various gangs that will jump anything for fun?" he asks them as he looks around the area.
Nightblind     "I kin take 'em varmits!" Harold announces in the fakest southern accent ever. One of the girls laughs.

He gives a cocky smile, rattling off "I know kung fu... and tai chi... and karate.. and kung fu..." he trails, counting on his fingers. "No body better mess with me!" he announces out loud -- "Come at me, Bros!"

-- There's a TWHIP. a CRACK! A garbage can echoes over, scaring the bejeezus out of Harold Whittaker, who just announced to all of Gotham that he would take them on.

Apparently, Nightblind also had a sense of humour.

Whittaker looks shaken, and then clears his throat, attempts to straighten his tie, and looks to Terry. "Perry, you look like you're a pretty good, solid boy. There's a fiver if you can get me to my car. Yeah? Yeah. C'mon Bambi, and.. Sugar-hips."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis thinks , o 0 (Perry?) and he shrugs, "Sure thing Mr. Whittaker," he says as he heard the noise hit and looked around ot see where i came from and shrugged, but he had a good idea from which direction and figured he would just play the role of an errand boy. "This way then," he says to the three as he walks infront of them, "I am sure you can sir, but some of the gangs here are harder then you think," he states as he has gone agaisnt a group of four Jokerz before he became Batman and has many times afterwards since being Batman. "I'm just saying, that you should keep an eye out for anything that can happen. The one gang to really worry about are Jokerz, since they will rob and kill you just for fun," he adds."And there are hundereds of them in Gotham.
Nightblind     "Really no difference between any of those animals in the Flats." Harold states, looping his arms around the girls again. They all laugh.

NIghtblind begins to move to follow them. She watches, curiously -- did... Terry even see her? Now curious, she crouches, hiding in the shadows as she looks over the group.

"I mean, you're a city kid, Kerry, and it's okay. But you... you got somethin' special about ya! You've got... what's the word... /Grit/. De-Term-In-A-Shun! You're workin' your way up -- now an errand boy, and sometime -- it was... ah... sports medicine, right? That you were studying?" he inquires.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nods, "Molecular biology," he states. "I am working to become a Doctor, as I love the field and think that helping people int hat order is the best thing to do. Plus with all of the various deseases due to the multiverse and the various worlds, you never know when you might run into," he says as he smiles and Terry did not spot Nightblind, but is aware that somethign or someone is near.
Nightblind     <<Hey, is that the cutie you and Aliyah met? The guy who works for Bruce Wayne? Is he single? Grrowr!>> comes a nonchalant, chattery tone in Ella's ear as Mackenzeie, playing along at home, as she processes visual data for Ella. <<Seriously, the guy is a fox. And /smart/! Molecular biology, wanting to become a doctor -- he can play-- oh, you haven't interrupted me yet, which means you're getting broody because you don't get to play hooky from superheroing for coffee anymore /or/... you're trying to listen into the conversation and see if you can get anything yep shutting up now.>>

Nightblind moves on quiet feet, easing herself around obstacles, and nimbly leaping to another roof. Not likely that anything would happen to Whittaker now... but she didn't want McGinnis pulled into this nonsense.

"A Doctor. A /Doctor/. WELL YA GOTTA HAVE BRAINS, am I right, Merry?" Harold gives a laugh, and attempts to reach through one of the women to clasp him on the shoulder. It doesn't work well. He laughs. "SO what's a smart guy like you doing working as a postboy for Wayne?"
Terry McGinnis     If only Terry could hear what Mackenzeie had just said, he would probably blush. However, since he did not just hear her, he will just walk and looks. "I helped Mr Wayne when he was in trouble and he offered me a job. I took it up, cause it was a good thing to do and when he took over his families comapny again, I just stayed on and have been there since," he states. "Started at the bottom after Mr. Wayne told me the best way to learn something is to start at the bottom and work up. And that is what I am doing. Plus, he is a good friend," he adds as he looks and thinks, "Which car is your Mr. Whittaker?" he asks as they come out at the end of the ally?
Nightblind     Harold looks around. He pats himself down again,a nd mutters "MUst have... forgotten the key inside." he mutters, and presses a kiss so mewhere to Bambi's hair. "Stay right here with the nice man, dear, I will be /right/... back out." he mutters, turns, and begins to walk back to the club. The two girls suddenly appear less drunk, and more annoyed. Sugarhips looks to Terry, and gives a grin. "A Doctah, huh? One of my friend's nans used ta be a doctah. But she was a brain surgeon!"

"She was a shrink, ya ditz. Don't listen to her, Perry, she's drunk."

    "Oh yeah?!"

And a purse is flung, and the two begin to smack each other with their purses, calling each other a variety of colorful, politically incorrect and not YTV-rated things.

Whittaker, on the other hand, is making relatively good time for teetering back and forth.

"Yes, Mr. Whittaker, which car did you take tonight?" comes a voice, and then a pair of dark arms reaches out, grabs Harold, and drags him into the darkness!
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks and nods, "Ok," he states as he listens to the two bimbos and rolls his eyes as he looks down the ally and blinks "..." and he excuses himself and heads down the ally, saying he had to be somewhere. He jogged downt he ally and stopped as he looked and blinks as he looks arounda nd sees the two girls still fighting and shakes his head as he finds a ladder and starts to climb it, getting out of the view of the girls and all. Once he is too the top, he stops and listens to the ally...
Nightblind     "Oh god, oh god, it's you. You're the one that's been chasing everyone down!" comes a hoarse whisper. His throat's been struck, he's winded and trying to recover. Nightblind is perched at the top of a dumpster. She's thrown Harold into it. He seems like he's a little more sober now, crawling as he panics, pressed up against the wall. Nightblind is riffling through his wallet. Toss out the AAA card. "Gold Member to a high-end strip club in Stonebridge -- does your wife know about this? -- useless credit card, useless credit card, /high apr/ useless credit card--" one by one, pictures and cards are thrown out on top of the terrified man. The slithery voice of Nightblind is unmistakeable.

"T-Teeerrryyy? Are you out there?! Call the poli--"

Harold had began shakily,/finally/ getting McGinnis's name right, and then half his wallet was stuffed in his mouth. A piece of paper was extracted, and unfolded.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks as he perks up at his name and blinks as he looks aroudn and moves over tho the location and silently comes down the ladder . o 0 (Who grabbed him? Jokerz?) he thinks as he looks and does not see a gathering of people....Once he is on the ground, he moves forward and stays int he shadows seeing someone on a dumpster as he blinks "..." and he thinks as he looks around the ground and nods, grabbing an old, dirty hat and covering his jacket in grease and grim. He also covers some of his face. Finding a bottle he picks it up and begins to walk down the ally, like a drunk as he brings the bottle to his lips and loosk around as he leans against the wall then pushes off and begins to walk in the general direction of nightblind and Whittaker. As he moves, he readies to tackle the person on the dumpster, but for now he just keeps walking, looking in various trash cans and the like.
Nightblind     New heat signature. Some guy in a hat. Weird. Nightblind cants her head a moment, curiously, and then tucks the paper into a pouch, and hops off the Dumpster, slinking into the gloom.

Harold Whittaker, on the other hand, manages to heft himself out and tumble out of the dumpster and onto the street. He groans, the wind knocked out of him. He hoarsely calls out "Hel-Help... T-Terry --" and begins to cough.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks as he sees the person move and blinks as he says nothing, "Sa...say you ok mister?" he asks as he stumbles over to him. Terry's voice is not the normal nor batman voice, but something different. As he moves, he looks around. "Here, have a ...." and he fakes taking a drink for the bottle and hiccups, "drink," he says as he hands a bottle to Whittaker and looks as he moves to the dumpster and looks inside. As he gets back onto the ground, he hits Whittake across the back of the nck, tryign to knock him out and turns as he stands there looking.

If Whittaker is knocked out, he looks, "Alright, who are you and what do you want?" he asks as he uses the Batman voice now. "I know your int he shadows," he adds as he waits near Whittaker if he is out.

If not, then he will help him and says "I .... you shold get back in and hide......"
Nightblind     Whittaker is out.

Nightblind's watching, but she tilts her head... and...

    <<Batman?>>
"Batman." she states in simple greeting, but she's not coming out from her hiding place. The voice echoes around the alleyway.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks at the voice around, "Yea," he states. "You do know that I could have helped you if you needed it?" he states to her as he picks up Whittaker and places him a crevus and covers him up with some cardboard. "He'll be fine int he morning," he states as he looks. "So, what were you looking for?" he asks her
Nightblind     "I didn't need help." comes the echoing reply. Nightblind didn't dare move from her spot, and the mask kept the puffs of air being seen in the cold night. She exhales. "I found what I was looking for, no need to concern yourself with my doings."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nodding, he looks, "Still there are more dangers here then back home," he states. "And do you want to talk?" he asks her as he looks around. If so, we cna meet on the roof," he adds as he moves into the shadows and begins to climb up a ladder to the roof. "Cause I think you might need someone to keep an eye on him while he is in Gotham," he adds.
Nightblind     "Seems he latched onto one of Gotham's native sons. He'll be fine." Nightblind states, her head tilting againas Bats begins to climb. "And no. I must be getting home... crime to stop, people to arrow, I'm sure you understand."
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis looks, "I understand, and I think that in what we do, we should assist each other," he states as he looks over the edge of the building once he is there. "In our line of work, doign it alone is not the best thing, since there is no support," he adds.
Nightblind     "Except, you know, the Union. And all the crazy, unstealthy, odd people in it." Nightblind points out. "I don't talk much, but I do listen.... and read the reports. Very informative." she states, and gives a soft 'hm'.

"Perhaps our paths will never cross again, and you need not concern yourself for Stonegate's nights."

And with that, Nightblind goes to jump over a fence, trying to escape into the shadows.
Terry McGinnis     Terry McGinnis nods, "I hope we run into each other sometime. Nice to know that there is another out there like me," he states simply to her.
