Tommy Wahagi      A few minutes ago, Tommy Wahagi passed out on the Flat Earth, covered in the blood of something that probably shouldn't've had it, as well as square chunks of his own sickness after he swallowed some of that blood.

This is probably not the best way to make a first impression. Fortunately, at the moment, Tommy is blissfully beyond caring. The sickly half-Hawaiian Planeswalkwer appears to have just sort of *crumpled* on the square grass. He's laying on his side, though fortunately this isn't the side he got stabbed in.

He's also bleeding from the stomach, but that probably won't kill him. Elites are tough!
Sanary Rondel      It doesn't take long for Sanary to find her way to Flat Earth, what with having gone there a few times before already! Sure, it's a little late, but that's not going to stop her from doing her job. She arrives in her usual coat and sweatpants combo, not bearing her usual weapons for once.

It does take her a while longer to actually find Tommy, although her first sign that she's probably found the right person is the bleeding. She doesn't speak up right away, however, instead coughing a few times to try and get his attention before lifting her hand in a slow wave.

"Uh. You're Tommy, right? I'm Sanary. Good to meet you, even if the conditions kinda suck." She chuckles quietly, eventually moving to squat nearby him. "What's the damage?"
Tommy Wahagi      Tommy is very, very unconscious. Sanary waving her hand over his head doesn't do much. Instead, time and nature take their course. It was just a brief blackout.

Tommy's eyes open to Sanary. There's a brief moment of muttering as he reaches up-

-and then realizes that the person standing over him is NOT in fact his nurse/attendant/ally. His eyes go wide as dinner plates. He turns over, attempting to bury his face in the ground, and in doing so exposing the shoulder and the stomach wound.

"m-m-m-m-m-m," Tommy stammers furiously, finally managing out, "arm."

He's also clearly bleeding from his stomach, by the cut Sanary saw in his clothes, but those appear to be the only places.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's seen this before. Maybe not in such a grassy area and with varying levels of drunkeness, but still. It's nothing new to her, and she does keep still to try and avoid startling Tommy further, or in case he needs a hand up from the ground.

"Easy, easy. I gotcha." Scooting a bit closer to him, she holds her hand out and starts focusing healing magic around it, directing a faint green light towards the wounds on his arm. She works slowly for now, letting the healing magic do its work and (assuming it doesn't react badly to him) speed up Tommy's natural recovery several times over while also providing convenient pain relief. Much faster than any prescription painkillers, and with none of the crippling side-effects!

"So how'd you get this fu-uh... Banged up, anyway?" It's not like she can tell how old he is at a glance. Sanary looks him over briefly and furrows her brow, reaching up briefly to adjust her eyepatch before putting a little more energy in to spread that light from his shoulder to his stomach as well.
Tommy Wahagi      The magic does not react poorly to him, but he reacts poorly to Sanary. Tommy attempts to scoot away from her, but to no avail - he's not really in a condition to move that much.

The power kicks in. Planeswalker power and healing magic mix and force the wounds on his arm and stomach to heal at a remarkably rapid pace. His arm's already closing up! He didn't have *anywhere* near this natural regeneration.

He look like he's late teens, early twenties. Despite the voluminous (and somewhat odd) clothing, he's clearly very thin, and kind of frail. There's a pallor to his skin, and his eyes are a bit sunken, and his hair hangs down all over the place. He doesn't look like he's ever had a day of sunlight in his life, which makes him look terribly, *terribly* unhealthy. This is not surprising, if he's perpetually ill.

     "s," Tommy tries.

It's clearly not /pain/ keeping him from talking, because his face keeps trying to blush and then noticing there's not enough blood in his body right now to *do that*.

Eventually he just waves his hand in the direction of the Obelisk and the dead Knights, or what's left of them.
Sanary Rondel      "Hey, hey. I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm on your side, remember?" Still staring straight at Tommy, Sanary reaches out for him before stopping at the last moment, withdrawing her hand while still keeping the energy flowing into him.

"Still, you look like... Uh. W-well, you'll be fine once you can get back on your feet and we can get you to Medical. Maybe a burger or... Five, too." Laughing lightly in an attempt to reassure him of something or another, the healer holds an arm out firmly in case he's ready to try getting up. She does notice the wave, however, and her gaze goes back to the Obelisk and the remains of the Knights.

"... Huh. You did that back there?" She raises an eyebrow again, although it's not quite clear if she's giving him an impressed look or a skeptical one. "Not talking much.. You get poisoned or anything?"
Tommy Wahagi      "You'll have to excuse Tommy," comes a sweet voice, like honey poured over velvet, "He's very shy."

The woman who kneels down in front of Sanary, and next to Tommy, is a knockout by any definition of the word. But there's something *off* about her eyes, and her smile. It's like skin is stretched over something that shouldn't have it. She's /too/ statuesque, /too/ perfect, /too/ curvy, too...*factory-made*. Yeah. That's the right word. *Factory-made*. The woman in the nurse's uniform is /factory-made/.

Tommy seems visibly relieved when she shows up. "U, um..."

"You should thank her, Tommy," the nurse encourages, wiping some of the blood and gunk out of his hair. Tommy nods and sits up, trying (and failing) to make eye contact with Sanary. His legs are crossed, indian-style, and his hair hangs over his face so he doesn't quite have to see Sanary. It seems to help.

     "Thank you, f-f-f-for healing m-m-me. I'm, um, T-, T-,"

"Tommy," the nurse prompts, "And I'm Xanya."

Tommy nods a little, still staring straight at his lap.

"Thank you very much for helping him."
Sanary Rondel      How did Sanary not notice her before? WAs it the angle she came in from? Was this lady a ninja, too? Or was she some kind of superpowered magic woman?

"Is that so? Ah, it's fine, miss... Uh." The cleric makes little effort to hide that she's staring at Xanya, but she does at least keep her cool. "Sanary. Good to meet you two. Tommy, Xanya." Grinning after a moment, she looks between Tommy and Xanya a few times before focusing on the former again, taking a deep breath to keep the magic flow steady. Just because she's not using a lot of it at once doesn't mean it doesn't take effort, after all.

"All part of the job. Anyone gets banged up fighting, it's up to the medics to fix everyone up so they can get back out there." She pauses for a moment, then grins just a bit as she reaches over to try and ruffle Tommy's hair. "If that damage back there is yours, though, then you did fine. Don't have to be so shy about it."
Tommy Wahagi      The simpler answer is that Xanya just arrived, or she would've been taking care of him herself, probably. Certainly she's dressed like an *actual* nurse, and not a Sexy Nurse, so presumably she actually knows nursing. Or, well...

Whatever or whoever she's /based off of/ does.

     "I, I d-didn't," Tommy corrects, "I m-mean, I helped, b-b-but it was Mister Lezard and Steve who d-did it, and I was j-just here and I d-didn't do much..."

     She touches his hair.

Tommy freezes. Everything locks up. He makes no noise, not even the rattling of his breath.

Xanya peers around and touches Tommy on the shoulder, then smiles.

Tommy simply remains /statue-still/. Between his long bangs, Sanary can see that his face is red as can be. It's a little bit weird, actually - the pallor of his skin and the flush of life makes a really strange juxtaposition.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's not quite sure whether to snort or not. On one hand, messing with Tommy did seem like it would be really fun if /this/ was his reaction. On the other hand, maybe some reassurance could help him go far.

Damn those occasional bouts of wanting to be responsible.

"Hey, hey. Take it from someone who's felt like that a lot. It might not feel like you did much, but imagine how it would've gone if you weren't covering their backs. Or taking care of other business so they could focus entirely on doing... Whatever it is they did here."

Giving him a light pat on the shoulder next, she gestures at the Obelisk and the remains of the Knights once again. "You think they would've been able to get all their work done if you didn't get this done?"

And then she turns back with another grin. "You did fine. Probably. Uh... Whatever it is that you and them did here, anyway."
Tommy Wahagi      Tommy remains basically stock-still as Sanary talks. It's definitely funny, in a really fucked-up way. Eventually, he slowly shakes his head. It's *really* slow - like he's unwilling to dislodge her hand.

     "I didn't d-do this," he repeats, "I d-did that."

His finger rises past Sanary to point at two of the armored figures. One of them lays splattered across the ground quite close to him, part of its head missing. The other...

The other appears to have *flown* into a nearby tree, where it appears to have knocked chunks of wood out. It would be comical, the top of the tree supported by the thing's body shoved into the little square blocks, were it not also kind of horrifying. The impact must've been tremendous - especially since there's damage to the ground around the tree, too.

"B-but I really d-didn't do that!" He points at the Obelisk and the black ground, the square craters, the...the sheer *devastation* wrought by Lezard Valeth, the Archmage of Midgard.

     "...b-but I wish I had," he murmurs.

Sanary patting him on the sholder tenses him up again. Xanya smiles.

"He's not very good with people," Xanya reassures Sanary, resting her hand on Tommys other shoulder, "Don't worry. I'm sure he appreciates your support. Isn't that right, Tommy?"

Tommy nods. The motion is uncannily puppet-like, which probably doesn't help with Xanya's factory-model appearance.

     "Yes," Tommy says.
Sanary Rondel      Following that pointing to the two armored figures, Sanary strokes her chin lightly before shrugging and grinning again. "Hey, that's not bad, either! Not everyone gets to turn things into craters."

That grin drops for a moment as she's moentarily distracted by something, but she recovers a few seconds later. No sense mulling over /that/ again.

"Sometimes, even taking out one or two threats can make a huge difference. Who knows? Maybe those guys could've snuck up on Lezard or Steve." Finally settling back as she cuts the flow of magic, the cleric laughs again while stretching her neck.

"You'll get there one day. I mean, hell. You already turned those two into pudding. Just need to keep at it, and you'll be doing that to armies eventually." She nods at Xanya with the same grin, eventually staring at that second figure that's been crammed through the tree.

"... So how'd you do that one, anyway? Chucked 'em through it, or...?" It's an impressive sight, and she certainly sounds impressed!
Tommy Wahagi      Tommy wordlessly holds up a card.

     http://i.imgur.com/fxlhhu3.jpg

The card is in no way magical. It is an ordinary cardboard card. It is in all ways a commercial card from the planet Earth, complete with its card-game stats, mana cost, and all the other stuff you would expect to see on a trading card.

It *is* contained in a *very* nice plastic sleeve, but beyond that, there's nothing unique about it at all.

     "I c-can't, right now," Tommy mutters, "I t-tried to summon him again b-but I can't if I'm n-not actually playing."

"Oh, um, this is Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger."

He didn't stammer /at all/ over 'Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger'.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's head tilts slightly as she looks at the card, having a bit of trouble initially trying to figure out just what it is she's looking at. Once Tommy speaks, however, several pieces seem to click into place as she nods in understanding.

Or pretending to understand, at least.

"So.. Kinda like a focus or something, then? I know there's some people that can use cards to fight, but this is the first time I've seen one up close."

There's a brief silence as she realizes just how awkward that might have sounded, and the healer laughs while patting Tommy's shoulder yet again. "Still! As long as you get results, then that means you've got power. Yeah? Whether it's with magic or science or cards..."

And then she sits back on that flat dirt. It's more comfortable than squatting the whole time, at least. "As long as you've got that power, you can use it to get stuff done! And get more power to get even more stuff done. So.. Chin up, alright?"
Tommy Wahagi      Tommy nods again at her assumption. That appears to be correct, at least as far as Tommy's volunteering. "I d-don't know how it works. I just know that it d-does."

His eyes get a weird look when she mentions that power can be used to get more power. Hunger, maybe? A hunger deep inside that slender, ill-looking frame for something beyond the world, beyond the confines of its flesh? Not literal hunger, of course, he's probably not *actually* starving. Hospitals usually don't starve people no matter how bad the food is.

"Why are you with the C-Confederacy?"
Sanary Rondel      Another shurg. "Sounds like magic, then." Sanary laughs shortly afterwards, raising her hand briefly to draw up that green healing light just to emphasize that point. "Hell, I'm going to a school for the stuff, and I still don't get why it happens. Just.. Does."

That look at her mention of power doesn't go unnoticed, but she's not one to draw attention to it without provocation. No, that's something she's more than content to leave untouched for the time being. Besides, she's still got her job to do in trying to reassure him!

"Why...? Hm. Well, for starters? They offered to hire me back when I was still blind. And now... Well, they're my best bet for getting stronger. And I got friends here, too, so that's a big part of it." She strokes her chin while leaning in slowly, peering right at Tommy's forehead. It's the closest thing she'll come to maintaining eye contact.

"What about you? Power, loyalty, money... Something else?"
Tommy Wahagi      "The Phyrexians asked me to."

     "And I w-want...to be stronger."

     "I w-want to f-feel alive."

Tommy does not have an overlarge forehead. It is a pretty regular forehead. It is buried under a lot of hair - like, hasn't-had-a-non-utility-haircut-in-his-life a lot of hair - but it is otherwise a pretty regular forehead. He's surprisingly free of acne scars, probably because, if he was at a hospital for as long as he's intimated, someone kept his face clean. His forehead might perhaps be a bit thin, like the rest of him, but that's to be expected, again, if he's spent most of his life in the hospital like he claims.

"I d-don't think I c-care about money anymore. Nobody at home c-can stop me. One day n-nobody will be able to. I'll d-do whatever I want."
Sanary Rondel      "Then you're in the right place." Sanary grins as she gives Tommy another pat on the shoulder, then finally stands back up to stare off into the distance. Not that she really has anything to focus on, but... Well, it helps her look a little wiser, doesn't it? Probably not.

"Definitely got plenty to choose from depending on what type of power you're looking for. Magic, science, or even just hitting hard..." She pauses for a moment, then turns back to Tommy.

"You just need to be willing to get that power, even if it might kill you. Uh. Unless it's probably going to kill you. Then... Maybe not such a good idea." She taps on the side of her head near the visible eye. "Like this? No risk, lots of uses. Good power. But if it had a risk of melting inside my head? Probably wouldn't have taken it."

She turns back to face the something-or-another afterwards, a long hum escaping the healer after a while. "The money certainly doesn't hurt, though. You can eat right, sleep good, shower. /Hot/ showers, even. Really makes it easier to focus on work."
Tommy Wahagi      "..." Tommy is quiet for a really long moment. He just sits there in silence. Finally, he says, very quietly,

     "I'd've t-taken it anyway."

     "I'm, n-not...I do eat right...and I d-do shower."

     "I d-don't need money. I c-can planeswalk. I c-can go to other worlds and j-just duck under a w-waterfall and eat f-fruits and stuff..."
Sanary Rondel      "Hey, whatever risks you think are worth taking." Sanary chuckles lightly and stands there with Tommy in that, glancing over every now and then just to make sure he's still there.

"As long you don't take it from any of us without our permission first. Can't have us stealing each other's power when there's the whole Multiverse to grab it from, right?"

The healer strokes her chin lightly again, glancing at Xanya once more before looking back at Tommy properly. "I'll have to ask you more about that planeswalking thing next time. But... Seriously, eat a burger or something. Hard to get stronger if you don't have any meat on ya."

She flexes an arm to demonstrate, stopping a few moments later upon realizing that her coat isn't all that conducive to showing off her GUNS. "... Anyway. You need a lift back to Medical?"
