Dominic Masoch     Granted a couple days off by Alexander Academy due to the events of Friday, Dominic is actually getting some rare down time for once in his life. He's spending it somewhat sprawled out on the couch in some loose pants and a t-shirt, still recovering from the migraine of using that sword maneuver that was far above his normal skill capacity.

said apartment is located, rather than on Galianda, in Njorun station. It's not hard to find it, it's registered to both his and Kyra's school files as their primary address, along with both of their Union files listing it. Overall, it's a pretty quiet Sunday in the apartment.

Dominic is probably watching some show on the Multiversal equivalent of the Discovery or Travel channel, but only half-paying attention due to the headache he still has.
Kyra Hyral     Kyra Hyral had been in and out after the fight. Being a healer meant that she didn't get hurt as much as her classmates thanks to the expert tanking on the part of Albert from the Flotilla and Lyria's Remora drone. Her improved health was instead used to dip into Alexander Academy's library to conduct research on what she's seen.

But now she was taking a break, relaxing on the couch with Dominic. She's leaned up against him on one side, legs stretched out on the rest of the sofa. She too is also mostly ignoring the program on the TV, instead scrolling through something on her mPad. It looks like some kind of research on crystals. "Hey." she speaks up, breaking their silence. "What should we order out for dinner?" She adds, half jokingly, "I'm feeling too lazy to cook tonight."
Dominic Masoch     Dominic lets out an awkward and slightly nervous laugh, "I've been thinking. You should try baking. It's basically chemistry and you are an alchemist. Think of it as making a delicious potion," He suggests to her with a teasing squeeze.

"So," He asks, curiosity finally getting the better of him as he mutes the TV, "Where do you have your Servant sleep? On the couch? Or does she simply not sleep at all?" He seems fairly curious about that particular arrangement, if a bit insecure and jealous as a teenager is likely to be.
Kyra Hyral     Kyra laughs, "Oh, you think so? Well, we did finally clean up from my /last/ baking experiment. Maybe you can get a Servant out of it too." She leans into his shoulder and tilts her head back to look up at him, sticking out her tongue playfully. She drops it back moments later to return to the paper on her mPad when he continues.

"You know, I'm not sure. I think she spends a lot of time roaming around in spirit form so I'm not sure when she sleeps. If she sleeps at all..." She sets her mPad down on her lap. "Our apartment might be too modest for her, being an Emperor and all. Otherwise I assume she just crashes on the couch when I'm not awake. She definitely hasn't tried getting into my bed."
Dominic Masoch     "I think it could be better than trying to keep cooking," He retorts, giving her a slight tickle to her side as she leans up against him. He lets out a bit of a yawn and then says, "I guess we could order that uh... Mexican? I like the burritos."

He seems to relax a bit more when Kyra explains the particular arrangement she has, "She's skilled with a blade, so that's fortunate. And she seems to be loyal. Overall, I approve of her, setting aside her unique demeanor."
Kyra Hyral     "Mexican...oh, right, salsa-based food." Kyra says, mentally matching the strange country name to the food type she's seen perpetuated all over the multiverse. "Slightly Ifriti and all. Sure, I can go for that." She switches to her non-Galiandan phone to pull up an online order form. "Next time I won't swap the baking powder and baking soda." she promises.

Kyra's quiet for a moment, carefully listening to Dominic since she did wonder just how jealous he was feeling over Red Saber. The question of multiple partners had been brought up before and quickly rejected so she couldn't call the worry invalid. "Souji hates her, if it helps at all. Unfortunately, Landon doesn't like her either. Probably because she gives off a whole tyrant-y vibe. Same with Cirra but Cirra doesn't seem to like anything I'm involved with lately. Anyway, maybe you two could train sometime? I bet you could pick up some fancy stuff from her."
Dominic Masoch     "Sometimes I suspect, deep down, that all your bad cooking is intentional to rebel against convention," He notes, watching over her shoulder as she takes out an online order form, "I'll get a steak burrito with extra cheese and sour cream," He helps, watching the face of the phone curiously.

His own replacement phone won't be here for a few days yet.

"It doesn't surprise me at all Landon dislikes her personality. She is everything he tries to avoid being in a leader, and so she reminds him constantly of what he fears becoming as a King," He explains to Kyra pretty simply. His voice lacks much malice or ill intent, simply informing her of how Landon thinks about things at times, "I wouldn't mind training with her, personally."
Kyra Hyral     Kyra blushes brightly for a few moments, "You really think so, Dominic...?" The blush fades and she puts a hand to her chest, "Haha, you know me so well now~" she hints before turning back to the order form to build the burrito of Dominic's dreams. Her own order is also a burrito which is pretty similar to Dominic's except she goes for pork carnitas. Within seconds, the order is off.

"Arrogant. Yes. Landon is more or less the exact opposite of arrogance. But at the same time I see Saber's got this...thing. Like. Where she wants to see other people unleash their excellence? Or inner beauty I guess?" She doesn't seem all that offended by what Dominic is saying-in fact, she's glad to have that insight since he knows Landon far better. "Other people are so hard to get sometimes. Landon especially. He makes himself so miserable." She sets aside the mPad so she can peer up at Dominic. "I'll mention it to her. I heard her offering to train with Faruja once before so I bet she'd be happy to train with you."
Dominic Masoch     Dominic grins at Kyra, "When you go through your life thinking about swords, you view most things as a sword fight. I just try to stay a few steps ahead," He comments vaguely about how well he knows her, resting his chin on top of her head.

"As a member of the Ramuhan Leadership, someone like myself or Landon was raised to categorically deny that which makes us happy in favor of that which makes us successful. We were raised to treat this as an unwritten, but sacrosanct, law of the Nobility," He explains to Kyra, "That's why it hit him so hard when you and I went into exile. It was something he, as Prince, could never do."

"I've known him for years, and he is capable of happiness, but he puts the feelings and needs of those around him first," He concludes, looking back down at her, "So someone like Saber who isn't a bad person, but rather bombastic and self-aggrandizing with their desires, will always be a thorn in his side."

To the mention of asking Saber about it, "There is no rush on it. I know I have been busy as of late, so I'd like to take it easy for some time longer."
Soan Sagittarius      MEANWHILE

Soan Sagittarius has been feeling much better today. Facinating how some well-placed Cure spells as well as inhuman Regeneration can do to internal organ damage and shattered ribs. However, even in the pain-dulled mists of the fight, he still took notice of some things. Notably, a weapon Dominic used to save his life, a weapon created by Mirielle. Something he need to get clear. Thus, he is on his way, on the road of the station, to his apartment. Mirielle will be next.

On the way there, a delivery man is hustling along. Soan looks at him, following him along. Seems like he's going the same way. He gets a hunch about this, smirking to himself. Rustling in his pocket for some gils, he causally approaches the man to tap him on the shoulder and have a little chat..

Minutes later, the door of the apartment rings.
Kyra Hyral     "Why do those things have to be mutually exclusive, though." Kyra frowns. "I never got that. Nobility calls all the shots so they're in the position to change things so it sucks /less/ for them. If they all stopped following the dumb norms..." Kyra huffs. "He really resents me for what we've done. In fact, I...think he places the blame mostly on me. Sure, he says we're still friends, but..."

She waves a dismissive hand, "Well enough about that. I at least get it when he says he doesn't like Saber all too much. He's not alone."

She continues, sounding a little sad, "You've been out a lot. That dungeon survey thing keeps you gone for a lot but I'm glad it's paying more than all those other little jobs." About to continue to suggest that Dominic apply for financial aid for his tuition, the doorbell rings and stops that potential argument before it begins. "Oh, that must be our food. I'll get it!"

Kyra swings herself up off the couch and heads for the door, swinging it open.
Dominic Masoch     "Well. Your exit from the venue was a bit more dramatic than mine. I'm just the false son of the Masoch family who was found to be an imposter. You're exile. Excommunicated. It's actually hard for him to have ties with you without it being a disaster in some way," Dominid notes, holding out his hand and gently running it through Kyra's hair.

"Yeah," He segues off Landon and onto his work, "I've been on Ifrit a lot. They have me looking for a great deal of interesting stuff," He doesn't explicitly say what he's looking for. It might be classified, he might not want to admit it, but either way it's kept vague.

"Oooh, that food's here," As she hops off the couch, he peers over the back of it, watching the door curiously.
Soan Sagittarius      As the door opens up, the delivery man is right there, with his large, colorful cap covering most of his face. Despite this, he manages to be exceedingly cheerfuly. "Heellooooo!" He chirps, lifting up the large plastic bags for her to grab. "Here are your steak burritos, my friends!" With a practiced flourish, he flicks his other hand. "That'll be twenty nine and ninety nine Gil, thanks you very much! And don't forget to tip the handsome delivery man. Will this be cash or credit?"

He sounds familiar, despite the horrible accent he's trying to imitate.
Kyra Hyral     "...yeah." Kyra rubs the back of her neck. "Yeah it...was." This is probably the first time that Kyra doesn't exactly sound proud of what happened. Usually she /has/ been taking great pride in breaking free of her rigid family. Something may have...changed? "I mean...most sane people should know it was some dumb bogus thing. I'm not some chaosspawn."

Kyra looks up and down the delivery man and frowns. That accent sounded pretty...fake. And the voice sounded familiar. "Oh, I'm going to be paying in /credits/-" Kyra suddenly swings a hand upwards to smack the cap off of the delivery man's face (but without hitting his face, just by hitting the cap's bill). "-mister /familiar guy from our world/! Asking us to pay in Gil!"
Dominic Masoch     "Anyway, I think it'll be fine," Dominic notes, trying to reassure her even as he peeks up over the back of the couch to watch the delivery man arrive and present them with food. That very familiar guy that sounds very much like one of his classmates putting on a fake accent.

"If you wanna give him a tip, tell him how to improve that accent!" He calls to Kyra as she smacks at the ball cap, giving a big grin at the exchange.
Soan Sagittarius      THE CAP IS THROWN OFF! It flies off the delivery man's head, flipping backward and landing dramatically, thudding on the ground with the shake of a thousands tiny little atom being outraged.

In other words, just a bit of dust get kicked up.

     In other words, nothing happens.

"What else would I ask you to pay me as?" Soan Sagittarius asks, innocently, now grinning from ears to ear while still holding up the package of food,. "It's not like I've got a lot of chance to practice an Ifriti accent, even thought everyone expects me to /have/ one."

He flips up the cap with the back of his sole, grabbing it with his free hand, then hand the food over. "Food's on me. Hey, Kyra, Dominic. Hope I'm not intruding -- just wished to check up on you two and talk about something."
Kyra Hyral     SOAN IS REVEALED, DUN DUN DUNNNN!

"I knew it!" Kyra gasps, "Hehe, hi Soan, fancy meeting you here. C'mon in, we're mostly just decompressing after all the crazy stuff we've been through recently." Kyra takes the bags off of Soan and steps aside so Soan can enter their modest (and kind of messy!) apartment.

She plops down on the couch and starts unpacking the food, pulling out Dominic's burrito and passing it over to him. "So what's on your mind, Soan?"
Dominic Masoch     "Sure, come on in!" Dominic waves Soan into the apartment vigorously from his seat on the couch, "Thanks for bringing our food to us. All told, I'm doing well enough. Tired and headachey after using it, though."

"I can talk about whatever, man. What's on your mind," He scoots over on the couch a bit to make room, lifting up the remote to shut off the TV.
Soan Sagittarius      Soan taps a finger to his ear. "Oh, not too much. Finding how you two are holding up. Dominic was pretty fried, you..." He pauses, frowning a little. "You seemed disraught, Kyra. Now that I feel better, I wanted to come do that in person."

His eyes flick over to Dominic, as he, too, take himself a seat on another part of the couch, legs crossed on one of his knee. He taps his ear again. "After seeing Gungnir, what Mirielle pulled out got me curious, even if I've heard of it after the fact, I was kind of being pummeled when she pulled it." He leans a bit foward. It's not an interrogation, or investigation. Soan seems more wanting to talk this normally. "That was /really/ not even remotely Excalibur, was it? It was something else."
Kyra Hyral     "All that stuff with that Andore guy was pretty disturbing. Same with what he did to Harald." Kyra shudders. "I mean...I always thought the whole Enemy stuff was pretty made up. No offense to what you do, Soan, because there were enough idiots that believed in it that made what the Dragoons do necessary. But after that night I'm like...feeling....wrong."

She lowers her eyes to her burrito. "I don't like feeling /wrong/ about belief." she says bluntly before she falls silent to listen to Soan ask about the not-Excalibur that Dominic was weilding.
Dominic Masoch     "Ah, no. It was not Excalibur, I can say that with some certainty. It was not the sword of promised victory, but rather simply the Strongest Blade. A weapon for carving a path," He states simply, thinking over his experience wielding it, "Despite it breaking, I had the impression it would have been able to cut down any foe."

He looks over at Soan, "As to its name, I could not say. But it was a fierce weapon that left my exhausted after wielding it. I can still feel its effects lingering, as if it taught me something I have since forgotten."
Soan Sagittarius      Soan, the man that was pummeled to hell and back just a few days ago, listens to the two of them, leaning back comfortably against the couch. It's visible he's trying to not put too much pressure on his chest, and he's a very good liar. Pretty good, at least.

He smiles, sadly, reaching over to Kyra's shoulder and squeezing it. "No offense taken. It's... why we do it. If people think the Enemy is fake, a thing we made up to beat down really sick people, then I'd say we succeeded. But seeing it the first time, for real..." He shakes his head. "I'm sorry. For your beliefs, that'll be something you'll have to work out, just know that there is a difference between Faith and the Dogma that follows faiths." Soan smiles. "I'll be happy to talk, if you need help, mind you."

Then, the other half of the question is answered, by Dominic. "So if it was /not/ Excalibur, it was still a hideously strong weapon that Mirielle had a part off, that she gave to you, and it broke into thousands magical particles." He leans foward a bit. "You're sure you don't know what it was?"
Kyra Hyral     "Too bad it broke, then." Kyra says softly, biting into her burrito.

She finally looks up at Soan, an anguished look on her face. "This means that...no, you came here for this sword business, we'll talk about that later." She seems faintly angry that this would have to be something she has to 'talk about' even to begin with. Kyra eyes Dominic suspiciously now.

Maybe he does know. Mirielle seems shady and Dominic was keeping the whole Excalibur thing from her.
Dominic Masoch     Dominic takes a bite of his burrito, chewing it for a long few moments as he considers it, "You can have faith without a Church. Perhaps you should take to some Extraversal people involved in religion for advice," He suggests to Kyra helpfully. It's also letting him take a few moments to consider Soan's question.

"I do not know its name, but I would know it if I laid eyes on it again, this much I feel," He answers to Soan honestly. He doesn't want to out Mirielle's secret, particularly with something he hasn't known for certain, "But. It was eager to fight Chaos. That much was certain. Anything else, you would have to ask her. A scholar, I am not."
Soan Sagittarius      Soan can feel Kyra's anger. It's visible when she is and he has a good idea /why/ she is angry like that. He did come initially for the sword buisness. Still, he want to talk to her about this. She... well, she seems like she might need to.

He return his gaze toward Dominic, crossing his hands in front of himself, resting on his knees. He peers intensely over atthe swordsman, tilting his head. "A sword that give you strength to carve your path, the urgently wants to fight Chaos, eager even, and Mirielle had a shard of it, on her person, that dissolved into magical particles. More importantly, it tires you, it tires you, and I know created things, magically created things, dissolves into magical particles all the time when they break the support."!

Soan gives Dominic a look. His eyebrows are raised, much like someone that is figuring something out, enumerating all things that don't make senses and expect a truthfull answer. Whatever the case is, he shakes his head, coming to a conclusion. "Seems legit to me. I'm sure we all have our little things."
Kyra Hyral     "...with religion?" Kyra looks a little confused. "I'm trying to get away from it, though. I mean, with the likes of Faruja and all I'd suspect him to try to recruit me into /his/." She's a hundred percent sure that's what Faruja would do.

The words 'eager to fight Chaos' strike Kyra. Something about it reminds her of something but what exactly slips from her mind at the moment.

Though the way Soan puts it-and the sword dissolving into magic particles. Hmm. "Whatever it was, it did well when we needed it. You said you sort of learned something from it, Dominic?"
Dominic Masoch     "Unfortunately, I have no idea where she got it, where it came from, or its origin," He shakes his head, wincing a bit as he does so from the lingering headache. He runs a hand through his hair, "All I could tell you was my time wielding it, and I've done that." He sighs a bit in frustration at the lack of information.

He lifts his head to look at Kyra, "Maybe. It's hard to describe. I actually don't remember too much detail about wielding it, just generally what happened." He scratches the back of his head, "I might have learned something, but I can't remember it right now."
Soan Sagittarius      Oh Divines, don't go for Faruja for that," Soan says, waving a hand emphatically at that. "He's just as bad as some. But, Dominic's right. Faith is not the same thing as religion." Soan says, still looking at Dominic, rubbing his chest. Bloody ribs, still hurts. "That's more than enough of what I wanted to know. Whatever /it/ was, it took a great deal out of you and her to make it happen and..."

He pauses, frowning a bit. "If you two haven't, I'd probably be mush by now. Thanks you."
Kyra Hyral     "Hmm. Maybe you need more chances to learn from it." Kyra theorizes, then shrugs. "So very little information on any of this..." she murmurs, hinting at things beyond just the mysterious 'Strongest Sword' that Dominic had held.

She smiles weakly, "But I'm glad we did as well as we did during all that, eh?" She settles back down on the couch, content to nurse her burrito. "So Soan, you take it easy too, okay? I know you can regenerate but you still need to get rest." She doesn't even bother asking if he needed healing. Nobody seems to need treatment these days.
Dominic Masoch     "Soan, you do not have to thank me for that. You are my friend and I know you would do the same for me, had our positions been reversed," Dominic waves his hand to Soan, as if dismissing the idea that he should be thanked, "I am sure you will, in fact, do so many more times coming up."

He smiles to Soan, "So please, rest up and recover as soon as you can."
Soan Sagittarius      "I wouldn't say no to a little cure or two, regeneration or not." Soan admits, smirking a bit toward Kyra as he pushes himself off the couch's rest, standing more straight on, his fingers drumming over his knees as hre turn his gaze at Dominic. "Be that as it may, yes, I would've. It's also important that someone properly express their gratitude for suchs. It wouldn't do as a Dragoon if I did not. So. Thanks, my friend."
Kyra Hyral     "Hey, anytime you need it, let me know, Soan." Kyra winks at the thief/dragoon. "I will be happy to drop a cure on you." She dives back into her burrito, "Or, you know, if you just want to chat that's good too."
