Kirikou     It shouldn't be a surprise that Kirikou's pretty wrecked. Not only did he lose a fight, he lost a fight to a guy who relies almost entirely on firearms to do his damage. The kid's been shot repeatedly with both bullets and flesh-shredding shotgun rounds. While he did his best to dodge, and much of which he didn't dodge he blocked with his miraculous weapon-gauntlets, it all turned out to be more than a bit nasty.

His worst wound is probably the anti-personnel explosive shotgun blast he took. Fortunately the round didn't land cleanly. Unfortunately, at least for his ego, he was in the middle of diving away when the explosion took him. He ended up getting shot in the ass. Well, not really the ass, just an upper thigh, hip, and lower back. Still, he got ... as the saying goes, ass-blasted.
Medusa Gorgon     Now what kind of former Shibusen employee would she be if she didn't care for one of the fine academy's students? Shortly after the match had been determined in the favour of Richard Stadler, Medusa Gorgon had been quick to enter the field, her white coat whirling with every quick step as she lead her team to Kilik.

"Lot 4b 20 mls, 10 msg of morphine, 1000 mls Ringer Acetate and the first blood bag," she orders, all while she kneels down to take a hold of Kilik's arm and pull up any sleeve covering the skin there. The nurse next to her has a tray with IV lines and equipment ready, and as Medusa puts on a tourniquet around his upper arm before she disinfects an area of Kilik's elbow and gets ready to insert an IV line. Fortunately she does speak to him as she does this.

"We'll get you treated quickly, Kilik," she assures him. "Just put up with me for a few hours and you'll be fine~" Oh yes, she is fully aware that he will most likely not agree with any medical treatment that is waiting for him. It might be a small comfort that the IV line is inserted easily, and already Medusa is hooking up a blood infusion, all while the rest of the team is applying some quick bandages to his injuries to ensure that he doesn't suffer from shock on his way to the hospital. He's quickly lifted up too onto the stretcher, and then it's off to the hospital, with Medusa walking next to the stretcher, resting her hand at Kilik's neck, her fingers resting on his jugular artery and a look of concentration on her face.
Kirikou     Kilik got wrecked, his mobility beaten down, until finally he was reduced to the point he could no longer dodge or strike. That, combined with him not being as 'in' to the fight as he would against someone more eagerly combative, meant he also lacked the soul energy for further attacks. He had quite literally nothing left to give by the end of the fight, even before he hit the ground and stopped moving.

The boy looks up at Medusa with a mix of apprehension and relief. He's afraid of her to be sure, and even hates her a little, but it's an undeniable bit of awesomeness for her to be on *his* side. More or less. As far as it goes. As scary as he finds Medusa Gorgon, better for her to be behind him as an ally than as an enemy.

"Would my protests matter?" Kirikou asks wryly. "Not like I'm runnin' away any time soon right?" he adds. It's a weak attempt at a joke, probably. He wouldn't ACTUALLY run away even if he could. Would he?
Medusa Gorgon     Considering his status as an official Confederate, Kilik at least isn't going to be in any danger from the witch. That ought to make him unlikely to do anything too bad, she figures.

"Perhaps," Medusa responds, "though I wouldn't suggest running away, not with those bullets still there. Fire and Thunder would not be happy if you bled to death, now would they?" As they approach the hospital the witch withdraws her hand from his throat, then leads the way into the hospital, which is of course bustling with activity during this time of year and the increased patient flow.

Down the hallways they go, and within minutes Kilik is carried into one of the old operating theatres where various tools, IV stands with medicine and fluids hang ready and prepared. With some care the team gets him onto the operating table, and Medusa moves to disinfect her hands as she pulls up the sleeves of her coat. "Give him 5 mgs of morphine intravenously," she orders, and one of the nurses nods and quickly moves to inject it into one of the ports on the IV line. That at least ought to dull any pain that Kilik feels, though it won't be enough to make him too sleepy.

"I will work on removing the bullets first and give you medication to regrow the tissue, which shouldn't take too many hours," Medusa informs him, then she looks to the others in the team. "Carissa and Nell, you stay. The rest of you resume your duties." Most of the team filters out, while the two mentioned stay. "Carissa, vitals and tools. Nell, you administer the medications," Medusa clarifies further as she pulls on a pair of sterile gloves and moves over to Kilik, carefully removing one of the bandages to inspect the wound underneath.
Kirikou     Kirikou also has a number of cuts from knife and bayonet. He'd tried to keep the fight as close-range as possible, though that more or less failed once he lost mobility. The cuts are relatively minor though, as it's a lot easier for him to keep blades from going deep than to do the same for bullets.

He sighs as he's set up for IV and drugs. Fortunately for him, this operating theater is so close to the combat site. Time, after serious wounds, is pretty much the worst thing ever. "Well, at least you won't have to worry about me getting shot in the WMAT any more. For another year anyways." he quips. Only getting shot in operations and stuff.
Medusa Gorgon     A soft chuckle is the first response Kilik gets to his comment. "Me, worry? I'm not about be a mother hen, Kilik dear. You're a meister, and you are in the EAT class which means that you know enough to make an informed decision on whether or not to fight. Besides, you are in greater danger out on other missions, I would say..." Medusa muses as she presses down carefully on one of the wounds. Hmmm, the cuts seem to be under control, which means that the bullet wounds are indeed the greatest issue right now.

Some snakes begin to coil out of the witch's skin, moving about her hand and then her index and long finger, all while she moves her hand to one of the bullet holes. Her attention is on the wound, though she does speak, even as she moves her index finger into the hole, pressing gently in all while Kilik ought to feel some /wriggling/ inside the bullet wound. "I seldom worry more than I have to~"
Kirikou     That's true, surely. Of course on other missions Kirikou's serving the Confederacy. His wounds serve the greater good. When fighting in the WMAT, Kirikou's wounds serve no such lofty goal, except indirectly as he's a pretty good propaganda piece.

Kilik winces as he's poked and prodded, and ends up wincing in discomfort as snakes go to work. "Why did it have to be snakes?" he mutters. Then again, could be worse. It's SPIDERS he really fears, of the Gorgon sister minions. "So, you're not gonna tell me who to fight and who not to, huh?"
Medusa Gorgon     The mutter is caught up on, and Medusa smiles brightly at Kilik. "What else would there be?" she asks, then slowly begins withdrawing her fingers. The pressure inside the wound will decrease, and the pain might lessen a bit too as Medusa pulls her hand back. Coiled around her finger and up, the snakes there have gripped the bullet, holding it against Medusa's fingertip. The bloody bullet is deposited into a small metal bowl, and then Medusa reaches out her hand for Nell. "Lot 56a." The nurse assistant immediately holds out a syringe for Medusa, who takes it and then /stabs/ the needle into the skin next to Kilik's wound, which might give a slight burning sensation. "This medication will increase the tissue regeneration. You should be fit for duty again tomorrow if you wish, though you might feel tender," she warns him.

As for his other question? "Only if I have to do so as a lieutenant, or if I wish to ask you a favour," she responds calmly, even as she takes a suturing needle and begins stitching up the wound on the young meister's abdomen.
Kirikou     Kirikou winces as he's stabbed with the needle. It gets more of a reaction out of him than some of his battle injuries did. "Hey!" he complains loudly. "You're supposed to fix the holes not make new ones!" he says. He's probably not entirely serious, but there could easily be a measure of truth behind his words. "Seriously, what've I ever done to make you carry a grudge and treat me so roughly huh?" he asks. Again, probably just a joke. Probably.

He shakes his head, letting the morphine kick in. Good stuff, that. Fortunately he's not in the habit of embracing injuries for the sake of the pain relief. "Yeah, that's me, tender." he agrees. "Maybe I should ask some of the lovely young ladies to feel my baby-smooth skin." he says with a playful grin. NOT Medusa, of course. That's just creepy even if she wasn't old enough to be his hundred-times-great ancestor.
Medusa Gorgon     "Now don't be a big baby," Medusa chides him, "the needle isn't big enough to injure the tissue. I save those needles for unruly patients." By the tone of her voice it's difficult to tell whether she's serious or not. "Also, I seldom hold grudges, it's not often worth it. Not even to those who have killed me in the past," she adds.

"Lot 72d," she says to Nell again, "Add 30 mls to the saline solution and start it on a quick drip." Carissa in the meanwhile is preparing the tray, all while she watches the monitors that registers Kilik's vitals. After Medusa has sutured up the first wound she moves on to the next. "Kindly do not disturb my assistants while we are working, I suggest you save it for when you walk out of here," the witch calmly states, even as she jabs another finger into one of Kilik's wounds.
Kirikou     "You sure you don't want to bring Robin here as an assistant?" Kirikou asks. Robin, in this case, being a certain Weapon from Shibusen who transforms into a spear. All the better to find a vein with, right?

Kirikou laughs, though there's little true mirth in it. "Right, because if you started holding grudges you'd be at it full time!" he smirks. "And hey, I'm not plannin' on anything with your assistants!" he protests. He was talking about other girls. Ones he meets more socially, or at least on the battlefield in a semi-social manner. Granted Sanary's kind of cute and fun and is Medusa's assistant, but she's also sweet on Lute which makes Kilik figure he's got no chance of understanding her, let alone ever hitting on her. Oh well. "MAN! You're not supposed to be sticking things into me like that, are you? If I wanted that I'd still be fighting!"
Medusa Gorgon     "Hmm? Oh, I figure Robin wouldn't be too keen as working with witches as you are," Medusa smiles sweetly as she withdraws her finger and removes yet another bullet, tossing it into the metal bowl next to her. "And most people hold on to grudges too easily if you ask me, it clouds their vision and distracts them from what matters," she claims in a rather calm manner. "I am doing what I need to do to remove your bullets as best as I can without making your injuries worse, so stop complaining unless you want me to drug you down and do this the hard way." Again she picks up the syringe and stabs it into the skin next to the current wound she is working on, all before she finishes injecting some of the clear liquid there and then begins stitching that wound up. "Nell, give him another IV line while you're at it." The nurse assistant moves to Kilik's other arm and then begins prepping that arm, disinfecting it and adding a tourniquet.
Kirikou     "Wouldn't say I'm exactly keen about it." Kirikou complains. True he DOES have more witches as friends than probably anyone at Shibusen. That doesn't mean he seeks them out or anything. Well, no more than other Meisters seek out witches, for the usual reasons.

It's true though, Kirikou's a bit more openminded than most about working with people he doesn't agree with or even like. Like, say, Medusa. He grimaces, but takes her follow-up jab without complaint. "People should pay more attention to what's really important." he agrees. Like, say, working with witches in order to protect everyone. Sometimes, to protect everyone from witches.

"So you don't hold grudges huh?" Kirikou asks, in part to distract himself, in part because why not? Medusa seems much more forthcoming when she's playing the nurse than she is socially. "Seems kind of weird, Lute holding more of a grudge against D for killing you than you do." he probes.
Medusa Gorgon     "Sometimes we all have to do things we aren't thrilled about," Medusa comments, quickly and expertly stitching up Kilik's wound. By now the first wound does feel different, almost itchy.

"And I don't," she states as she reaches for a pair of large scissors, then begins cutting his shirt open so she can get to the injuries on his torso. Hey, the shirt is ruined anyway, and removing it the normal way might aggravate some of his wounds. Once she has made a large cut up the front of the shirt she pulls the edges up and then resumes inspecting the wounds there, picking out the largest bullet injury and then begins removing the bullet inside with snakes as she did to the two earlier bullet wounds. "And Lute is a passionate man, it was amusing to hear he fought D. I have been killed before, though I can hardly fault those who have killed me considering they were only doing their job. With Stein here... it's rather interesting however~"
Kirikou     Kirikou has other ideas in his head over what to call Lute. Passionate isn't exactly top of the list, though he can't really deny it. Medusa's act of cutting up his shirt, well, that seems to pain him at least as much as the whole needles and bullets and probing snakes thing. He mans up though, grimacing but not complaining. "Stein huh? I was actually looking forward to a chance to take him on in public. Him without a weapon and all... figured I might've had a pretty decent chance." he grins. The grin is a bit forced, but then he IS getting snaked. "Can't really figure out why he's with the Union. Miss Mjolnir, sure. She's an idealist. But if they're not really in a Meister/Weapon relationship or anything, I..." He shrugs, a bit painfully. It depends, he supposes, on just what KIND of relationship they have. And on other things he's not about to discuss, especially not with Medusa.
Medusa Gorgon     The witch works on his bullet wound, though she does look amused. "You really think you could best him in a fight? He is the strongest meister from Shibusen, after all... even without a weapon he's formiddable." Though Kilik's next words do seem to make Medusa listen as she instead works. More bullets are removed and tossed into the bowl, and Medusa begins injecting more of the syringe around the wounds.

"Indeed... somebody like Stein could easily fit in with the Confederacy as well, he's... more chaotic than most people. With the right push perhaps we could get him to join our cause." Who knows? Perhaps it can be done. "Marie have been watching Stein's fights in the WMAT from what I can tell, so perhaps he is using her as a weapon. Though I did see Maka's father as well..." Is that a brief twitch in Medusa's left eyebrow there?
Kirikou     Kirikou's not sure he likes the sound of that. "You mean like how you persuaded D to join the Confederacy?" he says, voice dripping with sweet sarcasm. "Mr. Stein already killed you once, right? With Mr. Spirit's help if I remember from a few years ago." he says neutrally, slitting open an eye to watch for Medusa's reaction. "And yeah I mean, why not? Mr. Stein's strong but he's in B division, not C. I've learned a lot about fighting, and even he can only do so much without a Weapon. Formidable, sure, but not unbeatable!" he grins. That WOULD be fun. Stein's got a lot of raw power, plus Kirikou's own special abilities as a Soul Technician, plus flexible and powerful Soul abilities. But Kirikou's got speed, strength, and a certain recklessness that only youth seem to get away with... or haven't yet grown out of. It would be a fun fight. "Maybe there'll be some exhibition slots opening up or something later." he shrugs.
Medusa Gorgon     "D and Stein are alike, but also very different," Medusa claims with a slight smile crossing her lips. "And he did. I remember it quite well..." The night that Asura was brought back, a night to remember for so many reasons.

"Perhaps, perhaps not. Though I do think you would know better than to underestimate one of your professors, hmmm?" Stein is a strong meister due to the fact that he is able to use his soul the way he does, and how he can match his soul wavelength so perfectly and basically work with any weapon. But Kilik is no pushover either, as he is one of the few young meisters who is able to link with /two/ weapons on a daily basis. It's no small task, but why not mess with Kilik some? "If you do, then I guess I will be busy again," she sighs, then finishes stitching up some of the wounds.
Kirikou     "I try never to underestimate anyone from Shibusen." Kirikou says, wincing at some of the surgical operations but with the morphine and bullet removal in the past, the worst is clearly over. "Especially the adults." he adds nonchalantly. "And sure as hell, bad idea to underestimate anyone who can be called 'the best' in anything." he says. Which... might actually be a warning in disguise. Kirikou was considered the 'strongest' Meister, at least physically. He was also the fastest save Black*Star, and he's probably the best Technician of his generation. Whether the veiled threat is directed Medusa's way or not though... well, that's up to interpretation isn't it?
