Bahamut      After his battle, Bahamut is in pretty rough shape. His breathing is ragged thanks to the many small holes in his chest and the large one clean through his side. The gunmetal grey of his body is stained red from all the damage he has taken, and the dragon is grumbling. "How did he manage it?" he rumbles to himself as a few nurses work to dress his wounds and apply a sort of epoxy to the many cracks in his metallic hide.

Despite his complaints and his injuries, Bahamut is in good spirits. He was challenged, and he fought well. He is quite certain it was only a fluke that allowed Vegeta to triumph.
Karima Karima arrives, not too long after the call told her about this place. She's in fairly decent shape compared to her bretheren, abraisions cover her scales in several places, and there's definitely quite a few cuts here and there but she's wearing them well. She spends a few moments speaking with the nurses, pointing to a few of her injuries and entering a fairly decent dialogue. When she's given a ticket number and told to wait, she makes her way over to the waiting area, only stopping when she picks up on Bahamut's presence. She wanders over towards him and looks him over once, whistling a little bit.

"Wow...someone did a number on you. Are you going to be okay big guy?"
Bahamut      Bahamut perks a bit when Karima walks in. He has met only two other humanoid dragons in the Multiverse so far, so Karima grabs his attention quite readily. He chuckles good-naturedly at her question, though it is punctuated by a bit of coughing. "Yes...nnn...I will be fine." he says as he looks Karima over. He then holds a clawed hand out to her. "I am honored by your concern. I am Bahamut, King of the Spiran Dragons and Aeon of Bevelle."

The nurses finish wrapping most of his torso with bandages, then head off to get the very salves that Karima was asking about. "I would not suggest trying to take on two strong opponents at once when they are both faster than you." he adds, a light smirk on his face. "I fought well, but to them I was a very large target."
Karima Karima smiles towards him as he confirms his condition, though from her perspective...it certainly wasn't pretty. She provides him a polite bow in response to his regal title, and takes his hand in her own. "That's good to hear. Looks like they messed you up pretty bad. But, as for introductions, my name is Karima Blazewing of Domalusian Dragons. Nothing quite as fancy as a King but eh, I try."

She leans up to sit on the side of his bed, careful not to disturb him as she looks over towards his face to continue having conversational eye contact once the nurses leave. "You'll be okay I'm sure, these folks are pretty good. And was this a Tournament fight or just a regular fight?"
Bahamut      Bahamut brings Karima's hand upward once she offers it, then he places a regal, respectful kiss on the back of it. "I am honored to meet you, Karima Blazewing." he says before releasing her hand. He watches as she seats herself beside him, then rumbles gently. "Yes, they are quite skilled. And, this was a tournament fight. My opponents and I thought it would remove some of the difficulty if we simply had a battle royale. It was quite exhilarating, I must say."

He then looks Karima over again. "You seem to be in good condition. What are you here for?" he asks, a gentle grin on his face.
Karima Karima 's tail undulates off the side of the bed as she listens, reaching over to point at her the multitude of abraisions she's got. She kiss gets gets a small chuckle from her, but she doesn't seemt to dwell on it. "Oh...Well that makes sense why you'd be here and not at like, Njorn place. I missed out on my chance to enter that stupid tournament again and I couldn't be more pissed about it, but that also means I get be better for next year. Anyway, I got into a fight with this giant orange woman named Jasper last night. She was attacking a place that had our Union-stamp on it. This lady was like 10 feet tall and was pretty strong. She was hitting me hard enough that I could feel her blows through my bracers."

She taps the large metal bands around her forearms.

"I won it but she got in several good hits. It's been awhile since I've fought someone that much larger than me. I don't think she was human either. Her skin felt like stone...no yield."
Bahamut      Bahamut likewise doesn't draw attention to the kiss, as if it is a natural thing to do. He listens to Karima's story, then hmms. "Jasper...perhaps that name was a bit more descriptive than it seemed. Jasper is a kind of stone, I believe." he says, then grins. "Well, if you wish to fight someone that large again, I am always up for a good scuffle." he says, stretching his wings a bit. "And as for the tournament, as you said it allows you more time to prepare for next year. I myself entered only on an impulse. I thought it would be fun, and a good way to increase my prestige."

He chuckles, then shakes his head. "I had fun, but did not increase my prestige this time." His attention is then drawn to her bracers. "I take it that feeling the blows through your bracers is unusual? Are they enchanted? I have such thick hide that armor would be redundant, and simply slow me down even more."
Karima Karima shrugs towards the description of her opponent last night, speaking up after him. "I don't know...she was very...orange. She also weighed a ton, so I guess maybe that might have something to do with it." When Bahamut mentions her bracers, she looks over them a little bit as she talks.

"These bracers are enchanted...kind of. They're kind of required for me to stay...ah...me. They're made of Oxium, a special metal that can restrict or interact with chakra. They are also stupidly, insanely tough. Defnitely tougher than me. If I'm feeling blows in my arms through them, then I'm tanking some pretty heavy damage. Are you familiar with Chakra? Like, what it is?"
Bahamut      Bahamut considers a moment, then rumbles softly and shakes his head. "No, I cannot say I am. I have heard it mentioned, but I never did learn what it was." he says, then he tilts his head in curiousity. "They...make you stay..you?" he asks, seeming a bit confused. "As in, you have an alternate form that is unleashed when they are removed, or you have an evil alter ego that is released when they are removed?" he asks, a slight smirk on his face. "Either way, that seems rather impressive."
Karima Karima continues explaining, conversationally gesturing with a hand. "Well, Chakra...also called Ki, Chi or basically lifeforce energy is found in every living thing. All of it. It's different from magic in that it comes from within yourself. If you can learn to utilize it, it can become a very handy thing."

She holds up an open palm towards him and, with a little bit of thought, small burst of flame comes to life. It burns brightly for a few moments before dying out and taking it's minor luminescence with it.

"Well, most folks are born with a set amount of it, and kinda like blood, your body makes a certain amount of it and that's enough. I was born with too much. Way, way, way too much. Like, things were constantly exploding near me when I was a little kid an it was really bad when I got upset. When they figured out why, they slapped these bracers on me, and it keeps all that chakra in check. I've gotten good enough now, with years, and years and years of practice, to start using it alot. I can even temporarily burst off my bracers, but they are engraved to always return to me. If I ever somehow manage to lose them, it'll take about a week, but I'll die. Sooo...yeah. Important to keep them around."
Bahamut      Bahamut listens with interest as Karima explains, and blinks in surprise when she produces fire in her hand. But, when he hears about her condition and what it means if she loses her protective bracers, he rumbles sympathetically. "I see. In that case, please hang on to them." he says. The nurses come in about this point and offer to apply the healing salves to both dragons. Bahamut agrees, and the nurses remove his bandages to apply them for him. "I cannot say I have such a problem, but I do know what it is like to be different. I was persecuted simply for being who I was up until the point I became Bahamut."

Once the salves are applied, Bahamut's bandages are replaced. He rumbles his appreciation to the nurses, then looks at Karima again. "Will your chakra ever equalize?"
Karima Karima takes the salve, nodding towards the nurse that brought it to her. She unscrews the top and starts applying it to her arms first, massaging it into the various abraisions with care. "Well, there's an engraving on me that calls them to me. So even when I take them off, the second my chakra lowers past a certain point, they'll come back. And if the monks at the monastery are right, my Chakra is pretty wild. It might, but I doubt it. It's alright though, like I said, these things are wicked for parrying and blocking stuff. I've yet to run into any person or thing that can even put a dent in them. Not that I want them to, but you get the idea. As a martial artist, it's super useful to have a way to deal with blades and the like."
Bahamut      Bahamut seems to relax as the salves go to work, lessening his pain and soothing his tired body. "That is conventient." he comments, then chuckles. "One of my opponents today was complaining about swords. He is a martial artist as well, although not nearly as pleasant as you." Behamut stretches carefully to loosen up his aches, then rumbles. "Perhaps I should learn some formal martial arts. So far I have not needed them, but it might be good to have in reserve if my other powers ever fail me. My only way to deal with blades at the moment is to hope my thick hide can deflect them."

Bahamut chuckles after that. "Unfortunately, today my armored skin was not enough. Jeannette managed to run me through with her sword. For a moment or two, I understood Vegeta's dislike of blades."
Karima Karima raises her arm again, pointing to her bracers and grinning. "Case. In. Point. You've definitely got some kind of chakra, though with as big as you are, you might not want to use the style I have. There are tons of folks on this side of the fence who know martial arts. You should ask a few of them."

She rubs the salve on more key places, eventually reaching down towards the tip of her tail. It looks like it had been recently smashed, with scales being completely bent out of shape. She sighs and dunks the entire thing in the salve container, letting it hang out in there for the time being.
Bahamut      Bahamut cannot help but grin when Karima just dips her tail into the salve. "Perhaps, but I compensate for my lower speed with strong spells and my breath weapon. My strength comes not only from my physical prowess, but from my magical versatility." He holds out a clawed hand, palm up, then rumbles. Energy forms in his palm, then bursts into flame before quickly shifting to lightning, followed by frost before it disappears. "A benefit of being a dragon without an elemental type."

After showing off a bit, he looks over at Karima. "Did this Jasper woman stomped on your tail? Rather inconsiderate. That is even worse than stomping on someone's toe."
Karima Karima snickers at that, shaking her head in response to his question. "Nah. She tried to do an elbow drop on me. I dodged, but this slithery thing failed to get the memo. It stings but..eh. I've felt worse. And lucky you. I don't have any magic. Not that I need it or anything, but usually Chakra and Magic don't get along very well. Usually. You may be a special snowflake who could do both."
Bahamut      Bahamut winces and groans sympathetically as Karima describes what happened, then chuckles lightly at that last part. "A snowflake. I am not sure if I should be flattered or emasculated." he says jokingly. He smiles to the other dragon, then rumbles pleasantly. "If either of us is the snowflake, it should be you. You already have some of the coloration, and seem to be just as special as one of those lovely crystals."
Karima Karima rolls her eyes towards him as he lays on another compliment, leaning over towards him a little bit. "Oh my, aren't you the sweet talker? I mean, it is kind of nice seeing someone who at least KIND OF looks like me. Although in your case, two times my size and like...I don't even know how many times my weight. Even so..you know? It's been awhile. And yeah, I guess you are kind of right. In Domalus, there are very, very, very few dragons like me."
Bahamut      Bahamut just grins as Karima rolls her eyes. "I try." he says, then looks off at nothing as she mentions how rare people of their type are. "I am all too familiar with how rare dragons of our type are. I have encountered several of the more feral variety." He smiles lightly, then looks toward Karima again. "Have you met Rhapsody yet? She is the guildmaster of the Izzet. She is like us. I am sure the two of you would get along quite well."

As Karima leans toward him, he rumbles gently and rests a hand on her shoulder. He can't really rest his arm around her shoulders because of their height difference. "As a fellow humanoid dragon, you are welcome in my temple at any time. It is easy to find once you reach Bevelle in Spira."
Karima Karima hmms at that, clearly considering it for a moment before nodding towards him. "I'll have to take a look at that place sometime. I've never heard of this Rhapsody, but if she's one of us, I'm sure we'll get along. Anywho, it's getting late, and I should probably let this stuff sink in over night. I'll visit your place next time I'm up and about, and we'll see if it's anything like home. How's that sound?"
Bahamut      Bahamut nods, removing his hand from Karima's shoulder. "That sounds excellent." He stands carefully, then rumbles as a bit of pain strikes from his injuries. "Nnnn...I may have to walk home." he says, shaking his head. "It was wonderful to meet you, Karima. I look forward to our next meeting." he says, smiling to her.
Karima Karima leans up from her sitting position screws the salve container closed while turning towards him. "If I were you, I'd spend at least a night or two here and get patched up. Don't be silly and get hurt again before you recover from the first one. I'll see you at your place soon, I promise. Until then big guy."

She passes him a wave as she turns away, heading back out of the door from whence she came. When she gets a decent distance from the front doors, she crouches down, flares open her wings, and then takes off into the sky.
