Guest Lapis Lazuli     It's a rather calm day at the bar today. No significant fights have happened, and the security has had an easy day. Granted, more often than not that is the case. People don't come to the Bar and Grill to start fights usually. Most people are just hungry or thinking of food when they step through the door that takes them here. Some are even unaware what 'here' is, and the transition to a cozy bar takes them completely off guard.

Lapis was exploring an abandoned shack, thinking of cookie cats, when she opened the front door and stepped into the bar. Her eyes cast against the ground as if expecting the room to be empty. As soon as she steps in, the noise of casual smalltalk and the smell of food levels her rather surprised stare at the bar, taking it all in. She freezes in front of the door like a deer caught in headlights, mid-gait as she looks about the room. "Wha.." Looking back, she glances at the door, then the windows. They're in.. space now?

She seems lost for words, "But I was just.."
Kazusa Ujikane     From behind Lapis, there is a voice that seems both far less confused and far less startled to be here - in fact, the first words out of the girl's mouth are, "Ooooh, it's this place again!"

The source proves to be a girl down around the five-foot range, adjusting the glasses she wears and looking around with a growing smile on her face. "Well, I was gonna go get yakiniku, but..." Kazusa trails off, finally realizing that there's a blue girl with a gem on her back right there in front of her. "...oh /wow/, that looks /cool/," she murmurs, taking a few steps forward. In a rare show of awareness, she gives Lapis a moment's curiosity, then asks, "You seem a little lost. First time ending up here?"
Guest Lapis Lazuli     Lapis turns a bit in her spot, flowly gracefully to the side as she looks at the newcomer with a confused expression. Her mouth is slightly ajar, one eyebrow raised and the other lowered. How does someone even process a situation like this? Thankfully it's not outwardly dangerous, it's just incredibly unlikely. "It's.." A Lapis Lazuli gem! Completely facetless and actually incredibly well taken care of. It seems to be embedded right into her back.

When the girl approaches her further, she doesn't back away, but instead attempts to find her words. "I'm.. Lapis Lazuli.. Who are you?" To the question that's returned to her, she replies in kind, "Yes. Where exactly is here?"
Kazusa Ujikane     "This is the Bar and Grill at the End of the Multiverse!" the girl replies cheerfully. "I don't know the specifics, but it's really, really, really far out in the Void, and I guess you can come here any time you step through a door, as long as you're really hungry or you really want to be here. They've got all kinds of food and drinks, too. I didn't mean to come here, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have what I was after anyway!" She finally takes one hand out of her pocket, holding out for a shake. "I'm Kazusa, by the way. Kazusa Ujikane. Nice to meet you, Lapis Lazuli~."
Guest Lapis Lazuli     "Is that true? Is this really at the end of the multiverse?" Lapis inquires while looking around the place again. It's rather unassuming! But everything in the multiverse is just a little inane. "Hungry? I was only thinking of Cookie Cats. Gems don't need to eat." When presented with the hand, Lapis takes it gently and offers a handshake. "It is good to meet you, too. Kazusa Ujikane, right?" The hand is released and Lapis shifts a little bit on her feet, "Is it possible to get home from here?"
Kazusa Ujikane     Kazusa frowns a little, thoughtful. "I'm not sure. It might just be way out in the middle of nowhere. Or maybe it's in some sort of pocket dimension, and since the owner thought 'hey, the Multiverse is kinda round, so if I'm in a pocket that sticks out the side, that sorta makes it an "end", right?' And then he started-" Realizing she's kind of gone off on a tangent, the girl stops herself. "-huh? Oh, uh... well, I dunno what a Cookie Cat is, but it's probably close enough!" She puts her hand back in her pocket again, then looks around, thoughtful. "...I don't see any tables with grills, but..." Thoughtful. Wait, question? "Oh. Yeah, you can get back where you were easily, just go back the way you came. But don't leave yet! I like meeting new people. I'll buy you... uh... well, if there's anything on the menu you DO want, I'll get you something! My treat."
Guest Lapis Lazuli     Lapis raises her eyebrows as Kazusa goes off a tangent. When she catches herself, Lapis laughs in response. She doesn't make for the exit immediately, even after learning she could do that to return to where she was. But that wouldn't really serve any purpose, would result in any new information or reason. At least out here she can maybe learn about her new universe. Or multiverse. "I'm not hungry, but I'll stay with you anyways," she offers kindly.
Kazusa Ujikane     "Thank you~!" Kazusa drops briefly into a grateful bow, before turning and tugging on the sleeve of a waiter going by. "Hey, are you guys set up for yakiniku?"

A minute or so later, the two have been shown to a seat in a corner booth, and a portable coal grill has been set on the table, fired up and prepped for cooking. An empty plate has been set on the table before Kazusa, and alongside that a platter with strips of a couple different kinds of meat, marinated but uncooked. "They really do have everything here," Kazusa says with obvious glee. "So, ah, Lapis, right? What are you, anyway, if you don't mind my asking?"
Guest Lapis Lazuli     Lapis glances at the waiters as they pass by, and follows Kazusa when directed for seating. She's never actually -been- in a restaurant like this, but she doesn't seem to be unfittingly awkward in this situation. She just kind of goes with the flow of things. When finally seated, she brushes out her skirt from under her to keep it from wrinkling before she finally slides into a seat. It's a little curious to her as the grill is brought the table, along with raw ingredients.% It's a lot different than what Steven's been eating.

She seems a little focused on that when she's asked a question and perks up. "That's right. Lapis Lazuli." She nods in affirmation before tilting her head at the second piece of the question. "Like I said earlier, I'm a gem. Is there anything specific you wanted to know?" Her tone is rather nice, and she asks a question in return, "What about you? You look to be human."
Kazusa Ujikane     "Ah, well, uh... everything, I guess! I don't think I've ever met a gem before," Kazusa says, laying strips of meat on the grill as she talks. "Back home, gems are just... crystallized minerals, I think. We have to mine them up out of the ground and separate them from the surrounding rock, and shape and polish them, and... I mean, I guess some of them might be alive, if some sort of mage gets ahold of them and enchants them or something, but that would mean some mage coming in from the Multiverse, and then he'd have to work in se... cret..."

"...I gotta stop doing that," she murmurs with a touch of embarrassment.

Getting herself back on track, Kazusa continues, "Me? I'm human, though, yeah. I mean, I have a few things I can do, and I guess when I transform I'm not /always/ human, but most of the time I am!"
Guest Lapis Lazuli     "I don't think many of us have been to the multiverse." Lapis nods, "There are gems like that." When Kazusa says she can transform, Lapis tilts her head. "Is that so? You can transform, too? I've never met any human who can transform, is that something some members of your species can do in your universe?" She can't help but giggle a little bit at the ranting about the mage.
Kazusa Ujikane     With the strips of beef and chicken laid on the grill and cooking, Kazusa sits back for a moment... and then beams proudly. "Nope! I'm the first. It only happened because a robot unicorn from another world in the Multiverse showed up to help fight off some terrorists, and I managed to earn a wish from her!" She doesn't seem to realize how utterly absurd her explanation sounds. "So now I have these cards that-..." She stops herself short, cheeks turning a bit pink. "Ahh... I mean, I probably shouldn't go into specifics, since I'm in the Union and all, and there's Confederates that come here a lot. But I can save a copy of someone's powers, and later on use it to transform into them! Sort of. I'm still me, but like... I'm me-as-them, if that makes any sense? The first time I used it, I turned into a grumpy robot unicorn version of myself."
Guest Lapis Lazuli     "Union and confederates, those are the two factions that seem to dominate the multiverse. Is that right?" Lapis asks, nodding slightly. She looks at the grill for a moment, "Could I have some of this to go?" Perhaps Steven would like to try it. Or maybe Peridot would like to try it. Does Peridot eat? Probably not. Maybe she'll analyze it, instead. "What do you need to make a card of someone?"
Kazusa Ujikane     The first couple strips are coming up done, and Kazusa picks them off and lays them on her plate deftly with a pair of chopsticks. In the process of doing so, it becomes easier to get a glimpse of her left hand, on which is what appears to be a stylized tattoo of some sort; a red emblem that appears to consist of three cards fanned out slightly. "Ah, sure, sure! This is a little more than I can eat anyway, I'll cook the last few strips up when I'm done so they're a little fresher."

Settling in to eat, Kazusa begins putting to work that universal teenage talent of talking while she eats. "That's the ones, though, yeah. I dunno how much of the Multiverse they cover, but it's a lot. The Confederates... I haven't actually had to fight one yet, but I've heard some pretty scary stories. So I'm kinda careful about what I say where they can hear, in case they figure anything out about me and my cards. A hero's always gotta keep their trump card a closely-guarded secret!" Smug, smug. "...but, I guess I can at least tell you I can't do it if the target isn't willing. I can only copy someone's powers if they allow it."
