Ainsley     Following Ainsley's experience with the Soul Mirror, she had gone down to Aztlan's tunnels and began examining the seals that protected the doors in the Military-Residential district of the city. She spent days doing this, and came to the conclusion that they would not be broken with a simple interfering spell without releasing dark magic and whatever else the seal contained all over the halls. They needed the proper key to unlock them, and she was looking for that and only just recently found out what it was.

Sacrifice. A sacrifice needs to be made at the fountain in the center of Aztlan, though it's not entirely clear what the sacrifice has to be. Ainsley has gone to the trouble of getting enough blood to make a counter circle, and run magic symbols all the way to the hallway where all of the military rooms are locked down. The circle is cleared and she's standing at the edge of it, slowly rubbing at her cloth-bound hand and frowning at the painful sensation coming from it. She had used some of her own blood for the magic here, and she doesn't heal like certain bee mages do.

Reaching the hub is more of a chore these days. The warp gate on the surface of the underground city is beset with dozens of skeletons that claw at the barrier protecting the central park. It'd take a slog of undead slaying just to reach the sacrificial circle. It's odd, then, that Ainsley could get down here unscathed the way she did. The only wound she has is self-inflicted.

She looks pretty tired. She's also eating a large cookie. Gotta keep up that blood sugar.
Emiya Shirou     Getting all the way to where Ainsley's hanging out is something of a chore for some people. For Shirou it's an exercise in EVERY bift of combat experience he has. Running through corridors cutting down skeletons and zombies and whatever other horror crawls out of the forsaken place's nooks and crannies?! For an ordinary (thought fit) human whose only advantage is legendary weapon forgeries, it's quite a workout.

Still, Kanshou and Bakuya carry him through the hordes well enough. he's winded by the time he eventually does make it to Ainsley's location, but apparently no amount of small fry got past his guard.

"I hear... you needed... more help... Ainsley?" Of course his speaking's stammery, because he's short on breath!
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had been unable to be there when Ainsley used the Soul Mirror, so her friends changed look ws a bit of a shock. She had caught up with everyone else one else and seems to be looking at the fountain wondering just what they are going to have to give for this? he's really wondering here but she keeps in with Ainsley and breaks her silence.

"So you need more help, right what can I do to help?"
Riva Banari A good friend helps you move. A great friend helps you move bodies.

That's the kind of things that's going through Riva's head when the call goes out to go back to that hellhole that used to be Ainsley's homeland.

Thankfully, Riva is very efficient with moving bodies as long as you don't need them intact, and gladly covers for anyone else who wants to make their way into the city in her wake.

She arrives in the hub, her holy-symbol hammer over one shoulder and clearing off some bone dust and zombie goop from the front of her coat. "Okay, Ains. We're here to give you a hand, lay the situation out here for us."
Xiaomu Xiaomu would have dealt with the undead via the comparative expedients of a couple of grenades, the generous expenditure of two clips of anti-spirit rounds for her handguns, and some laying about herself with Suiren (both staff and sword) along the way. It's a bit of a workout, but nothing the sage fox hasn't had to deal with before; all the better if her efforts overlapped with those of Ainsley's friends.

(Not 'other friends,' per se - Xiaomu is still a relative stranger to Ainsley. Hopefully tonight sets that to changing.)

"Hey everyone," Xiaomu says with a wave as she approaches; the sacrificial circle prompts a curious look, although she maintains a respectful distance from it.
Staren     'Dozens of skeletons' 'undead-slaying slog' 'much of the surface is now scorched from plasma missile bombardment'

Staren's fought his way through the undead before, although they seem a bit more... numerous this time. Still, with the others helping, and his ability to bombard the surface with area weapons, it shouldn't be a huge problem to get there.

He's surprised, though, to see Ainsley alone and waiting for them. He looks around to see who might have helped her. "Ainsley? ...How'd you get here? There's more undead horde than usual out there. The skeletons are swarming."

"...And where did you get all this blood?"
Ainsley     The undead go down fairly easily, even for Shirou. Most of them, at least. A few of the Warriors respawned as skeletonized versions, but don't seem all that tough, just much more aggressive.

"This time we don't need to kill any kind of monster to get to the seal," Ainsley begins, probably to the immense relief of most of the party. She then gestures with her bandaged hand toward the magic circle that she's standing next to. She lets out a soft sigh and tells them, "But this time we'll need to crack it like this. Brute force will just cause more problems than it solves, so I deciphered the seals and found the counter circle. The problem, though, is that it needs to be powered, and I can't do that myself."

"See, it doesn't work unless you sacrifice something, and because the seals are abnormally strong, it won't accept anything but personal sacrifice of some kind. So ... hair, blood, a personal item, something. The more precious it is, the more power it will put into the circle and the more efficient this is. I can't really... do this myself, everything I value in the world is another living thing or... a book, and I don't like using books for things like this if I don't have to."

Ainsley looks over at Staren, and blinks a couple of times. "I obfuscated my presence with a spell, it's a trivial matter when the targets are already mindless as it is." So she used a stealth spell to get down here. "I can't actually fight them, you have to understand, I'm just not built for that anymore."

She steps away from the circle and finds a nice stone bench to rest on. "I can activate it once the circle is given its materials. Add whatever you think would work, or don't, and we'll see what we get." Her strange glowy gaze rests on Xiaomu, who is a complete stranger. The lizard girl gives a tired wave to the fox lady, smiling sweetly in that direction. "Thank you for showing up," she remembers to tell everyone, "I'm sorry about the gross undead... it's the problem we're here to fix, so it can't be helped just yet."

"Oh. It's one percent my blood," she indicates her bandaged hand, "and ninety-nine percent sheep's blood. The seals won't react if I use other materials."
Xiaomu Xiaomu inclines her head politely to Ainsley. "Xiaomu, Shinra agent liasing to the Union and Heaven or Hell," she introduces herself. "And don't worry about the undead, I fight worse than that even outside of video games."

She looks at the counter circle. "So ... basically, magical decryption algorithm. Did you need us to contribute sacrifices of some kind too, or just raw magical power? If I'd known what kind of sacrifice is involved, I could have brought something ..."

Such as a cosplay prop or a game she's beaten, among the possibilities that come to her mind.
Inga Freyjasdottir Suddenly, is there. Unless someone's magical sight is looking for such things, Inga arrives as if she'd just appeared there mid-gesture, her sleeve wiping a rune drawn in blood from her forhead. She leans down to about knee height and wipes something....and then there is a goat, as well.

The witch smiles to the others, her dress a little muddy at the hems but otherwise she appears to have been unassaulted on her way here, likely following in the wake of one of the warriors under cover of a ward. "I heard we are in need of a sacrifice," she begins, leading the goat forward. He seems completely unaware of his fate, almost as though he's sedated. "I've brought a few things, but I did figure blood would fit this place well," she comments with a small shrug, tossing her long white braid over her shoulder.
Staren     Staren frowns a bit at the talk of a sacrifice. His way of doing things is largely to /avoid/ risking losing anything. Anything he carries has no special value if he can help it -- and if it does have special value, obviously he doesn't want to give it up! Fortunately, body stuff works.

"I wonder if we could copy that spell..." Staren comments after the obfuscation is explained. "Later, though."

He nods at the explanation of where the blood came from. "Hair and blood will be replaced as soon as I go to the healing vat. Can the magic sense that? If you don't want to sacrifice a book... you can see how we'd be likewise reticent to sacrifice anything truly meaningful to us. ...How does it measure preciousness? Will anything that can be replaced not work?"
Emiya Shirou     SACRIFICE is what's needed to get through the door?!

Shirou simultaneously boggles wide-eyed at Ainsley... and frowns.

"I don't even have anything on me but clothes." Cue a sudden facepalm, complete with rubbing his forehead and thinking hard on this.

"You're sure it has to be a sacrifice to make the energy? We can't just give it a lot of magic directly?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Parts of me I'd have to offer likely wouldn't have much worth bu I think I can add something."

Kotone has ideas about this and it could be costly she's not sure for a moment she looks over to Inga and is thankful she was starting to wonder if she'd need to leave an arm as the payment to get by here. She was willing too but if there's other options.

"As I said, that's why I'm hestant to offer a part it may do nothing."
Riva Banari Riva makes a 'baaaah' sound when sheep blood is mentioned. "Okay, so. Sacrifice." She looks a little huffy. "Again. But I guess that's just how this world works."

The others ask a lot of things, and Riva just shrugs. "If you can just give it up easily, is it really a sacrifice? What's the intent behind it? How much do you value it? Sacrifice means giving something up for a reason. To honor people or things, or to achieve some goal. If we half-ass this we're going to get a half-assed result. The problem is..."

She rubs her chin. "... /What/."
Xiaomu Xiaomu looks at Riva for a moment. "You aren't much of a gamer, are you?"

"The best video games, the ones that you play for dozens and dozens of hours - whether it's because of the story you're following from scenario to scenario or dungeon to dungeon, or whether they're just *that much fun* - you really do put a piece of yourself into them. For the best games, it's not just 'playing a game,' but a protracted act of love for the game and its developers. If I were to put a game card or disc down on the circle - something I've played through and loved from the bottom of my heart - I'm sure it would be registered as a valuable sacrifice."

That said, Xiaomu pulls out a multi-game carrying case and considers the cards within it, hrming softly. "... or if I can't bring myself to part with any of these, I guess I could just prick a finger and drip some blood where Ainsley needs it ..." she murmurs. After some lengthy consideration, though, she removes one card and kneels, placing it reverently on the outer rim of the circle. It's not a game she really wants to discard, but out of the game software she's carrying in physical form, that seems to be the one to get the proverbial short straw.

"Spent a lot of time levelling the fighters up in that," she sighs as she straightens up and steps back.
Ainsley     "I'm not a blood wizard, Staren, just put something in there that you think might work and we'll see," Ainsley tells him, "I can't tell you what is more effective beyond vague guesses because there's not much scientific testing in the realm of sacrificial magic, for obvious reasons. Put some blood in, if you want? It could work just fine." She looks away from Staren and toward ... a goat. She raises her brows, impressed by how prepared Inga is to contribute to all of this. She looks to the others, who all seem hesitant. The lizard woman crosses her arms, giving them a wary smile, since she's not sure how to placate them.

Shirou's question is answered with a gentler tone of voice, "It has to be the circle. Any other method would be like shoving one of your swords into a trapped tumbler lock. It'd work, but there'd be consequences for not doing it the 'correct' way. If you think you know enough about blood magic and tough warding to break it, I welcome the attempt, but I'd prefer if we do this safely."

"Though, you could just add some mana to the circle, if that's something you can do. That counts as a sacrifice, but physical items do more than mana or magic energy or whatever your world's equivilant is." Since the question did come up.

She gingerly touches her bandaged hand, frowning down at it. Looks like it stings.
Inga Freyjasdottir "A sacrifice must have meaning or it is not a sacrifice. It must have value. An animal has value. This goat could provide me with food or could be used to breed more livestock. I paid money for this goat, thus to kill it is a sacrifice. I have also brought other objects of value to me, to be sure. But having seen much of Ainsley's world now and learned more about this culture...that is why I think blood will produce results," she says, leading the goat forward. If no one else has any other ideas, Inga will lead the sacrfice. It is, after all, something she has been well trained to do.

Inga reaches into her belt pouch and pulls out what appears to be a silver ring--not for a finger, but an arm. It is not insignificant. It is also one of the few belongins she has from....before. From home. She is loathe to part with it.

That's why it is a sacrfice.

With a sigh, Inga pulls her knife. "The more we all contribute, the more likely our victory will be," she says, looking around at others to see what they will contribute, if anything.
Emiya Shirou     "Blood will have to do. Though I don't like the idea of putting anything in here that could be linked back to any of us. Trusting magic like this seems like a bad idea." But all he can do is shrug. Still, aside from a distaste of the magic, he doesn't seem terribly opposed to the idea of a sacrifice at least?

Probably will make faces if the poor goat bites it though. He gives Inga a strained sort of look, one of simultaneous disbelief and an unvoiced question of 'reeeeeeally, you just randomly have goats to sacrifice?'
Staren     "The question is, are your save games stored elsewhere?" Staren asks Xiaomu.

Staren nods to Ainsley. "I have some stuff to try." He removes a gauntlet. "Can someone cut my hair? It'll grow back in the healing vat anyway."

He cuts his arm, and bleeds some blood out on the circle before covering it with a bandage. Then he reaches into the collar of his chestplate, and unties something behind his neck. He pulls out his bandana. The ringlike clasp, he slides off and puts in his bag.

"I've been wearing this for a long time. I can get another. Sewn into it is one of my personal teleporters, a personal forcefield projection disc... and one of the first artifacts I obtained from another world when I went out into the Multiverse, a magical charm that protects me from heat and cold. All can be replaced or replicated, now... but it's the original." He gently sets the cloth down in the circle.
Riva Banari Xiaomu makes a relevant assertion to Riva! She nods, listening to Xiaomu's reasoning, and Riva nods. "You're absolutely correct! But you're only really giving it up if you can't get it back. Are you giving up all your save games? Your ability to ever play the game again? I mean, we're getting pretty weird and esoteric here. Whatever you do, I guess if it's worth something..." Riva shrugs. "It's not for us to judge in the end, I guess. I'm just saying that if we're going to offer something we should make it meaningful."

And this is why Riva is staring at the circle, thinking. That's the catch-22 about these things: You don't /want/ to give up these things. That's why it's a sacrifice. Finally, Riva withdraws a small box of watercolor paint resins that look handmade, not store-bought. She reluctantly places it in the circle and steps back, biting her lip.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I understand."

She takes a moment and is issueing some commands to part of her body. She debates if this is a good idea os not but well what she cdo. Her arm could be usedul or it might not given she can replace it. She pauses then reaches into a pouch and takes a small item. It's a photo, there's a several people in it. One kinda looks like kotone but not quite she sets to offer the picturer. It's the orginal copy of a family photo it looks like from before she was cyberized it's one of the few things like that to surive Vert's assault on her home and she offers it into the circle. She then pulls what seems to be a necklace she's wearing and it's a small silver cross which she moves to add along with the photo before she moves back.
Faruja To say that Faruja Senra is not happy with this plan would be an understatement. No doubt, prior to today, the rat has been generally upset and otherwise brooding. He's also late, a rarity for a time mage of all things. One might begin to think he won't even show.

Faruja runs into a few stragglers of the undead. His shouts of Heresy and other pious showings echo a little more loudly and fervently today. Amidst all the planning, Faruja walks in, and gives a loud 'hmph'. Particularly when he notes Inga and her goat.

Crossing his arms, scowling and generally looking displeased, he watches the proceedings. The silence from him might be worse than any yelling.
Inga Freyjasdottir % Keeping a goat in her inventory is perfectly reasonable for Inga! These things come up you know! You never know when you will need a proper sacrifice for something. Inga gives Shirou a small shrug and a short smile, then looks to Staren, nodding appreciatively. "If it has value, if it will cost you something to replace it is still a sacrifice," she informs.

Inga looks to Riva then, gaze softening. She knows these have meaning to her, if not necessarily great value in terms of money. It is most certainly still a sacrifice.

Inga doesn't have the slightest idea what Xiaomu is talking about, so she'll have to just assume it is a sacrfice.

Inga lays down the silver arm ring with a sigh, then gives the goat a gentle tug over. It's fairly plain she has the beast under some sort of spell, for it is remarkably complacent. "These things we dedicate as sacrfice; blood, silver, and objects of personal meaning. May they be acceptable and appreciated," she says, bringing the knife to the goat's throat.

Then she spots Faruja. "Oh, hello Faruja. Bit late aren't we?" she says, just as she drives the knife into the goat's throat. It's struggle is short, blood pouring from the wound as the body falls.
Xiaomu Any stray shouts of 'Heresy' which happen to drift this deep into the catacombs prompt a slight twitch of Xiaomu's ears. That word, particularly yelled in a tone like that one, brings back some bad memories.

On the other hand, the arrival of the mousy cleric provides a distraction from Inga sacrificing her goat. The sage fox bows her head briefly, perhaps offering up a prayer for the goat's soul.

.... hey, she *IS* Buddhist. Technically, anyway. She may fail most if not all of the teachings and novitiate vows, but she's still a Buddhist.
Ainsley     Ainsley looks over at Faruja, and her face couldn't seem more haggard at his apparent disapproval. She rubs at the side of her face, and gets up, retrieving a piece of parchment paper from one of her pockets. "Right. Let me just activate the circle, that looks like you've got enough in there..."

She starts reading off the parchment, which starts to glow... and then bursts into flames. The Spanish words that seem to evade all meaning echo throughout Aztlan's hub room, filling the room with a peculiar feeling. And then the circle surges with red light that slowly bleeds to a strange ultraviolet color. The fire on the parchment turns black, somehow, and gets dropped in the center of the circle.

The circle turns into a bonfire as the spell piggy-backs off the seal it is engineered to break. Ainsley looks into the towering, cold black fire that slowly gets dragged into the circle by a mysterious wind. The circle starts to dissolve, leaving nothing but the silhouette of the offerings that were given, and an enormously bright red light travels from symbol to symbol, down the halls, and there's a loud non-sound that indicates the complete dissolution of the seals all along the Military-Residential tunnels.

When all is said and done, Ainsley lets out a sad sigh down at the circle.

"I will reimburse all of you where I can," she tells them, in a gentle voice, "Where the sacrifices had any monetary value. Thank you for your contributions, I could not have done this on my own."
Faruja 'Hello Faruja'. Stab. Goat noises. The resulting glare that Faruja offers Inga is his absolute best, before he finally sighs and regains some of his usual civility.

"Good 'eve, Lady Inga." The rat looks like he's going to say something, but he wisely bites his tongue. Even Ainsley isn't getting him to budge for once. His stance on sacrifice like that is pretty clear.

But, he came. Watching as the ritual takes place, Barriers dissolve, and Faruja feels magic sparking. The rodent is soon taking out holy water and muttering prayers. People are soon getting splashed with the stuff, and the rat isn't taking no for an answer.

With the most pointed exception of Inga. She's a Heretic anyway.
Emiya Shirou     Getting splashed by Faruja's holy water after he reluctantly bled into the donation pool - so to speak - gets him making a scrunched and unhappy face, but... like usual, he just tanks the ridiculousness of it all. There's a sigh near the end of it all...

"Well... at least it worked without bringing the ceiling down on us."
Staren     "Ohh, that doesn't look good." Staren comments at the black fire, stepping back. Once it's all over, Staren puts his helmet and gauntlet back on. He shakes his head to Ainsley. "No need. But thank you."

Staren doesn't protest the holy water, though he quirks an eyebroiw at the confirmation that Faram-blessed water /doesn't/ burst into flames on him. Huh.
Xiaomu "Don't worry about paying me back," Xiaomu reassures Ainsley once the ritual is over; it was pretty disconcerting to watch, but it seems to have ended with a refreshing lack of cataclysms.

Then she gets sprinkled with holy water and prayed at. Her ears cant backwards, and she eyes Faruja while gripping her staff more tightly .... but since whatever the ecclesiastical mouse-man is doing doesn't seem to hurt her, she slowly relaxes again, and finishes what she was saying to Ainsley: "If I decide I really have to get another copy of that game, I can afford to pick it up. It's still in print, too."

She pauses. "The sequel's due out next month, anyway," she admits with a slightly sheepish grin.
Inga Freyjasdottir This is good, as if Faruja tried to sprinkle her with holy water she would either laugh at him or stab him.

Really, it could go either way!

Inga looks to Ainsley, shaking her head. "This is as much my responsibility as yours Ainsley. I was chosed as a servant of the gods--I was chosen it seems to combat the Filth. I will do all that I can," she replies. She'll be able to buy another goat in the near future.

The arm ring though, that is not replacable.

"Now, what is our next step?" she asks.
Ainsley     "Now, we look for the equivilant on Solomon Island," Ainsley tells Inga, "The seal was one of the markers drawing the Filth here, and we know there's two sides to these things. Who knows, maybe the amount of sacrifices we made blew out the marker on the other end?"

After that, Ainsley steps over to Faruja and hugs him from the side. "I'm sorry, Faruja. If we had done it any other way, we would've risked the in-built defenses going off." She squeezes him until he stops being mad.
Faruja Faruja, after depositing holy water amongst the non-Ingas of the room, leans against his love as she hugs him. Finally, with a long dramatic sigh, he hugs back and kisses the lizard girl.

"Forgiven. God is going to be a little cross, but mayhaps He understands." Then, he peers at everyone.

"Ye lot, however, art going to my sermon on Friday! Mayhaps it shall cleanse thine souls a touch after this...." Hmph! He can't even finish the sentence.
Riva Banari Riva watches on as the circle is activated and her own sacrifice is consumed. She releases a small, resigned sigh, her eyes closed for a moment. "Good friends will help you move. Great friends will help you move bodies." Riva replies, bringing up her hammer to her shoulder. "If there's some asshole in there, they better watch out, because this is personal." She accepts the splashing from Faruja with a nod.

"All right. You're clearly the most experienced at this. Let us know where we're going to need to go in order to find whatever we need to get or smash. And Faruja, this is how this world works, it seems. Let's clean this up so we can cut it back to something more sensible, like tithing or something." Surely Faruja would be cool with that.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga nods to Ainsley. "Yes, indeed. I will look into that. We will look into it," she adds, looking to Riva, moving to stand by her friend's side. She knows Riva has been busy, but she can't move on this alone.

Inga gives Faruja quite a look. His sermon? She would literally rather die and wander around the creepy grey spirit world than go to his sermon. "I must decline the invitation Sir Faruja, I have much work still to do," like cleaning a latrine, or digging graves or...really, about anything else.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa watches the ritual and ownders if she should have given more but these things she gave were to be harder to replace than any part of her current body. That was a strange way of thinking for her but what else can she say? She's not sure she gave enough maybe she can give enough she's honestly not sure.

"Maybe I should have given more..."

She doesn't complain about the holy water but it's not by what she still heeds some worship too.

"I don't want to see this spread any further and we need to push the flith back out of the multiverse itself. We'll have to see and we'll do what we can right?"

She doesn't say much about what she gave up and she just moves over Riva and Inga for now.

"Ya I'll be in the cofessional at some point about this, I think Father's getting used to my romps in the Multiverse at this point."
Emiya Shirou     "Something simple as that taking care of the Filth?" Shirou's tone just DRIPS with doubt. He ends up shaking his head, not at all cool with that idea. "Not a chance. We'll have to scour everything... with plenty of care to not get infected."

He's NOT answering Faruja's claims but instead makes another of those strained, difficult faces. He's just not sure HOW to deal with Faruja's fanaticisms!
Xiaomu "Is Solomon Island where these 'Filth' are coming from," Xiaomu wonders, "or were they coming from outside your world and appearing at both points?"

She peers right back at Faruja. "Which God do you mean?" she wonders ... and despite the wording of her question, the tone she asks with is relatively polite. "No guarantees about coming to your church, though - some gods don't like youkai, even good ones." She rubs her arm where some of the holy water splashed her. At least it doesn't look like it's burning or blistering or anything harmful ...
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga looks to Kotone, blinks several times. Her mouth opens slightly, dumbfounded momentarily.

In a tone of disbelief, "You're a Christian?" she asks.

Inga shakes her head, then looks to Shirou. "It is just one of the steps we must take. We must prevent further spreading. The Filth entered this world through mine. We're trying to cut off that line," she responds.

Then, To Xiaomu, Inga facepalms quietly. Now she's asked, Faruja is going to launch into a lesson!
Faruja Riva Banari might frustrate him at times, but as far as he's concerned, she's one of the more pious in the room. Faruja Senra might have a few misconceptions about the Templar. He makes a lot of those.

"Bloody right ye art, Dame Banari! Why, I know a certain noble family that needs a tax increase for their heretical little outcast's work." Faruja Senra also does /not/ like the Beoulve family.

Inga gets a scowl. "Mayhaps for the best. Ye might catch aflame upon that dress of thine if ye were to enter a house of the Holy." Faruja's a little too cross tonight to not toss barbs.

Kotone helps, though. He smiles sweetly in her direction.

"The Lord forgiveth if ye merely seek it in thine heart!"

Shirou gets looked at. Those noises hit his ears. He splashes more holy water on the young man. Splash! Splash!

The fox-lady of the group gets rounded on, and he gives her an utterly scathing glance.

After looking at her, and finally deciding she's not just trying to make him angry, he shoves an Ajoran Holy Tract at her. Unfortunately, in his wrath, he doesn't remember that it's written in Ivalician Church Cant.

"The ONE TRUE GOD YE FILTHY HEATHEN! Faram! The creator of all that is and will ever be! The supreme and perfect being that..." Faruja keeps going. Someone should probably shut him up before he has a heart attack.
Ainsley     Ainsley stares blankly while Faruja starts to go on and on and on about his religion and how supreme and perfect Faram is.

She reaches up to pat-pat at Faruja's face. "We should go. We're done here anyways." She nods to the others, and then grabs ahold of Faruja's hand with both of her own and gives him a hopeful look, so he can lead her out of here and they can... not think about things that make Faruja mad.
Riva Banari Riva's agitated state kind of evaporates when Inga and Kotona draw near. she puts her hammer aside and gives them both a big hug. "We got this. We're going to make it all right." She says... Before she starts at Faruja. "Hey, Faruja, relax. It's an easy mistake to make, they're pretty similar. Really oddly so, in fact."

She thinks about this for a moment. "It's supposed to be just as much about love and mercy as it is about standing against evil." She comments. "Let's get moving. We have a lot to do. Ainsley, keep us posted, and don't you dare go poking into horribly dangerous places without someone to back you up."
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga smiles kindly to Riva, returning her embrace. "Indeed. We must get to work," she reiterates.

Then, a dark look to Faruja. "If I were to visit such a church it would be the building that caught fire, not I," she replies back. Ooou who wants a curse today? How would Faruja look with bald patches in his fur?

Now that Faruja has launched into his speech, Inga is now walking away, shaking her head, free hand around her iron mjolnir.

"Farewell, gods see you," she says, waving back. Go enjoy living in sin like a pagan, Faruja! :D
Staren     Staren quirks an eyebrow. "What problem does Faram have with us breaking a seal on another world?" He just gives Faruja a 'yeah, no way is that happening' look when asked to come to the sermon.

Kotone gets a confused look. "You follow a god?"

To Xiaomu: "Solomon island is where it first appeared. If it came there from somewhere else... who knows?"
Xiaomu Between the holy tract and the onset of Faram's religious ranting, Xiaomu's ears angle back and her eyes close, a look of exasperation crossing her face. "Yes, let's leave him to homilecticize at the undead if there are any of their impure souls lurking around within earshot. Do you suppose it would chase them away if we take him back to the warpgate with us?"

She doesn't actually intend to leave Faruja here ... but if he doesn't shut up, Xiaomu is going to make a specific point of being the first one back to the gate and out of this particular world.
