Tamiel     Just on schedule, the ragtag convoy heading toward Dalton is passing through the area. It's a pretty ill-looking selection, made up mostly of open-top vehicles with what soldiers could be scrounged, several civilian transports, two fuel trucks, and a couple trucks of supplies. The only thing that they have which is of real note are two newer-model hoverbikes, used as scouts. The Union was contacted earlier by Kay, and may rendesvous with this group either now, or have been travelling earlier. At this moment, the road, which is in rough but usable shape, is threading through some low hills and is now crossing a bridge across a river. The bridge looks in bad shape, but actually rolling over it, it proves remarkably sturdy.

If anyone can sense unusual things, this is also the time when the first hints that something is wrong may appear. Heaven likes to use the angelic imagery a lot, but one thing that they use that is actually effective is the cloak on their transports. Said transport externally looks like a big, white, fluffy cloud. Just one of many, really, scooting across the sky at a lazy pace, totally innocent. Heaven's alliance with the Confederacy was reluctant and forced, but it IS an alliance, and they are perfectly willing to give any Confederates a ride on said transport, which holds their own troops. It's an interesting mix, with several Grigori/angels and numerous more normal-looking troops, whose only similarity is that they all seem rather... young. Late teens at the most.
Shin Tokuyama      So there's a convoy... (Check)
    Travelling rag-tag guarded... (Check)
    Carrying a secret weapon... (Check)
That's the last hope of humanity? (Check?)
Shin is totally here. He's tailing the convoy on side-streets and alleys, staying off the main path. He has no plan to attack the convoy, but when you have a single thing hitting that many narrative tropes it is almost certain something is going to happen to it based on any reading of natural pattern recongition. Or a slightly-warped view of how sequences of events are meant to happen, anyway.
So, through the side-streets of the city darts a black motorcycle that curves and hops over obstacles or around blocks, trying to keep pace with the convoy but stay out of conventional sight. He's waiting to see what happens with this setup. It might have something cool happen. It might also just safely reach its destination like the 12 other convoys he tailed chasing this exact same trope.
Beli Klum     "Heaven has caught wind of a rare weapon component" being said with a note of menace is certainly something to get Beli's attention. The unusual rephaite has been sitting in one of the military transports since the convoy headed off, looking relatively normal without her wings or halos aside from the bizarre glow of her near-white skin. Of course, she's long since discarded any hopes of subtlety in anything she works toward, so for now, the hybrid seems relatively relaxed about standing out in the open like this.

She can't help keeping her mismatched eyes on the sky, however, considering the warning that Heaven may wish to attack this very convoy. Of course, different worlds have different rules, but Beli hopes for some amount of similarity. Including, perhaps, the similarity that her demonic powers may have some effect against such beings.
D     Hoverbikes aren't the only craft keeping pace alongside the convoy: there is a horse, too. Somehow, the steed manages to keep up, despite the physical demands and impossible speeds. That it appears enhanced by cybernetic components may have something to do with its unusual endurance; however, these alone aren't enough to guarantee such a quality performance. To coax a mere cyborg horse into prolonged action at these levels would require a talented rider.

    A rider like D.

As is his usual way, the black-clad youth keeps to himself in stoic silence, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. Strapped to his back is his signature curving longsword, and on his chest glints his pendant's blue eye. Aside from these adornments -- and his hat, of course -- he looks as simple as ever.
Warsmith Honsou     A weapon that can stand against heaven. Something to shake the very skies. Needless to say the rumors were enough to attract the attention of some nastier elements.

With Warbreed parked in orbit on the dark side of the moon, the ancient Battle Barge lies in wait, not even truly bothering to conceal itself once it dumped a small payload upon the planet surface below. ... The Warsmith Honsou waits, blood boiling in his veins at the prospect of what this device could be, and how to attain it for himself. But he forces the growing anticipation and lust for battle, conquest, and power down, replacing it with a resolve as befitting the name of an Iron Warrior. Face down in the dirt, he waits with the patience of a hunter, having spent the last three hours crawling on chest and knees into an assumedly suitable ambush position to catch the convoy unaware. The blinking lights in the corner of his visor informing him in a stacatto of blinks that his men are also laying in wait; twenty hand picked Iron Warriors ready and waiting for their Warsmith's order to massacre and pillage.
Cory     Chikorri was SUPPOSED to be here on Union business. Tracking this convoy and helping the others with their shindig.

So she was tailing from far behind, flying low and trailing a 'tail' of white Ki. That's what she WAS doing.

Then she heard a motorcycle, and detoured.

    THEN she spotted Shin.

    "YOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!"

With a huge PULSE of power she catches right up with the motorcycle. She's effortlessly flying along just a few feet over the ground, tail whipping violently behind her in the wind.

    "You're after this thing too?!"
Kay     Kay, for her part, is pretty happy to have the local Union along with the somewhat sparse military presence. At least they have some hoverbikes! That's pretty new tech for this world, and it's something that she's not sure she likes. It might draw attention toward this little group that would be best diverted elsewhere. So, she's frowning a little, but keeping the peace.

Kay isn't actually a military person, being something of a free agent, so she's just riding along on the side of one of the jeeps crawling across the bridge right now. She's carrying a rifle, though one that's more a hunting rifle than something like an M-16. Still, a .30-06 to the face(or facemask, as the case may be) will give even a Grigori a headache, she figures. Besides, Levi is here, too.

Being that the group knows Kay is a demon summoner, Levi doesn't get any looks. The gargoyle-like demon is lounging on the spare tire of the jeep, gnawing on a hunk of bone like some sort of feral. D is getting a few curious glances, but Beli is getting the lion's share of stares from the troops. They're whispering, but they don't seem all that worried about her presence here. She's more of a talking point due to oddness rather than anything they mistrust... well, mistrust any more than outsiders otherwise.

One of them is looking around. "Hey, what happened to the girl with the spiky hair, anyway?"
Shin Tokuyama     "Shouldn't you be doing your job!?" Shin shouts to Cory over the rush of wind and the sound of his motorcycle. Like any saavy protagonist, he's sans a helmet right now so that he can look all the more cool.
"I'm not after anything! But this has all the signs of a convoy that might maybe potentially be attacked dramatically. So I'm here to see what happens, maybe learn some stuff," He responds as he guns the motorcycle a bit faster to keep up with the convoy as it moves.
"How silly are you going to feel if the convoy gets attacked while you're off pursuing some high school crush?"
Krezentia Einjager     KREZENTIA is onboard one of Heaven's transports; she has come without her fairy today, the teenager in her usual black vest, purple shirt, black cargo pants and metal biker boots. She's all too happy to follow-up on the alliance she proposed by showing the Confederacy will help where they can, and it's not some strong-armed 'join us or else' deal.

Compared to the SPEHSS MEHREENS she's kind of small, but she's not complaining. If anything, she's on the exact same page as them. A weapon that can stand against Heaven itself-- even if this isn't the 'real' Heaven, surely such a weapon is worth her attention.

    "So, we there yet?"
Tamiel     The Heaven transport is made up of many sorts. Most of them are some kind of soldier, as mentioned. Tamiel is here as well, though being given a wary look now. The masked Grigori is in an odd position, not quite rogue and not quite under Heaven's direct command any more. That makes her... suspicious to the others. Tamiel doesn't seem to care, nor does she answer Krezentia herself. She's pacing, looking either lost in thought or just very bored.

It's one of the sensor crew that answers. "We're directly above them and moving just ahead. It looks like we're ready for deployment. Odd though... I'm not detecting any energy signatures of no-" He pauses, frowning at the console. "... nothing steady, anyway."

Well, to make a long story short, Heaven doesn't appear to be aware of the Space Marines either. Maybe their sensor tech isn't as advanced as they like to think? What does happen is the bay doors open, and the cloud begins to 'rain' out soldiers. On either side of the convoy, several Grigori, the winged 'angels' of legend, swoop down and land to hem in the convoy. It is one of them that announces the intentions of Heaven. "Please surrender your goods for inspection, and no one will be harmed." Standard greeting, really, for this sort of situation. Around the grigori, much more numerous little sheaths of blue light drop, fading away liek temporary drop pods to reveal the more humanlike soldiers. Human-like, but something very, very 'off' about them. Many of them carry what appear to be bows of some sort, with a sword at each one's side. No arrows, though.
Beli Klum     The stares don't seem to bother Beli much. She's dealt with those enough in the past that this isn't really anything new. Stares aren't returned to anyone around her, either, even Kay's demonic summon. This allows her to keep an eye on the sky...especially helpful when it starts raining men. And women. Hallelujah?

The hybrid immediately stands in her seat once the Grigori land, watching them with a narrow-eyed leer. As if on reflex, her own six wings, feathers black as night, slide out from her back and fold up, just in time with the three black halos that form behind her head.

She doesn't manifest either her angelic or demonic powers, but there's some clear wariness in her mismatched eyes. She'll wait for someone else to call foul on these angels - it's not her world, after all - but until then, she's ready to retaliate if need be.
Cory     "High school-- hey, /WHAT?!/" Cory does a rather impressive act of throwing a tantrum while STILL flying sideways. Arms extended and fists balled, FURY all over her face and brow furrowed!

It's a wonder she doesn't go careening into something like a rock, what with the wild swerving.

"Grrr... you just say whatever you want. I'm not shirking! It's RIGHT UP THERE, how can you miss it?!" She gestures wildly towards the distant convoy.

Well it's easy to miss. If she hadn't been told about it she would've easily missed it.
Krezentia Einjager     Air dropping, huh. That answers her question.

Krezentia's colors swap-- hair, shirt, eyes, it all turns a fiery, burning orange, as a hammer seemingly made of lava and fire forms into one hand, a large two-handed, spiked war mace. She grins, but rather than jump out of the transport, a purple portal appears in front of her, kind of like a door. She turns to look at Tamiel. "You coming, or just going to pace around like you're waiting for pregnancy test results?" One way or the other, the Magi steps through the wormhole.

Another wormhole appears just above the convoy, and Krezentia slams down onto the roof. She lowers her hammer, resting its base atop the ship. It's hot; HELLA hot. Whoever's underneath her in the convoy might notice the ceiling's getting all orange and heated up. But whether or not she can actually pierce though, she doesn't know.

This isn't a cheap convoy, after all. Might be heat-proof.
Shin Tokuyama     "I didn't miss it. I'm following at a non-threatening distance to watch it get attacked and see if its guard patrol slacks off," Shin comments to Cory while still managing to swerve and maneuver his bike along at break-neck speed through the city, avoiding obstacles by sometimes no more than a hair's breadth as he does so.
"Sorta like that," Shin says as he points towards the Convoy when Krezentia lands atop it and starts putting hammer to roof with blazing heat. Shin gives Cory a bright smile, "You're very easily distracted. That must detriment your Kung Fu a lot."
He turns the bike towards the Convoy right after he says this, actually starting to make a more direct approach instead of obliquely following.
Kay     Kay sits up straight. "Oh boy, guess we are getting trouble. Maybe we should see if they'll talk-" She's hoping maybe they can avoid a fight, because this many Grigori, even if they win, will make a mess of things she figures. Then again the Union has made a strong showing before. She just hopes that the rest of the military was maybe making this a dummy convoy that they can just lay back and let the inspection-

    "Open fire!"

Kay sighs as one of the soldiers orders his men to open fire, sending a hail of bullets toward Heaven's forces. They're putting out a SURPRISING amount of lead there, opening fire without a second thought, which has Kay ducking behind her seat and readying her rifle. She spots Krez immediately, which means... she swings her rifle around, firing off a shot at Krezentia. This is probably a bad idea, since she isn't using any magic or powers or anything. It's just a regular bullet, and Krez is way, way more experienced in that matter. At least the roof of the container /is/ holding surprisingly well, but it's not as tough as they'd like it to be. If nobody stops Krezentia, it's going to be torn open pretty fast.

Levi does something useful though, leaping up to clap in glee and letting out a vicious snarl, leaping toward some of the Cherubs.

As for the soldiers, they're giving startled looks toward Beli. Some of them are whispering a lot, but it's ended pretty quick when they have to fire. They can ask questions later.
Warsmith Honsou     Honsou's patience pays off. Waiting to strike, he was on the verge of giving his men the order to break from hiding and assault, when the cloud overhead empties a payload of soldiers to try and stop the convoy.

    A cloud. Really.

"Well. That was cunning." A voice whispers in his ear, crackled by the faint static attenuation of his helmet's internal vox. A twitch of motion at his side, he need not turn his head to know Cadaras Grendel is at his side, the massive brute of an Iron Warrior daring to take to the Warsmith's side, twitching and ready to spill blood in the name of the Dark Gods. "So how about we kill them all now?"

"Wait." Lips curl into a sneer inside the Warsmith's helmet. It was a complication he foresaw- that others would want a weapon of such rumored power. Several pings tag the Grigori, marking the descending forces as the Iron Warriors creep in a slow approach, taking time and care to not be seen, eerily silent for twenty behemoths in ceramite. "I'm guessing 'Heaven' isn't happy about this little development. I say we offer to take it somewhere faaaar away."

    "And if they refuse?"

"Then we just kill them too."

The tiny sliver of his Grand Company need not wait much longer, when the order to open fire comes and the convoy guard let rip with their weapons. Honsou sees opportunity.

    "Okay. Now."

As though they had come from nowhere, twenty ceramite clad behemoths erupt from hiding, standing and raising bolters, intent to counter surprise for surprise in a storm of iron and hail of gunfire for the convoy troops and vehicles.
Cory     ONe glance forward and Cory gets a very good look at the crazy that's happening. Her gut sinks. "OH RIGHT!" There's a HUGE gust of wind as her aura crack-ignites, shifting crimson with the activation of KAIOKEN. She almost tears a trench in the road on the way there - only doesn't, becuse of swerving OFF the road and carving up a bunch of dust and dirt there instead.

"NOW it makes sense! It's these guys again?!"

Instead of opening up with an array of Ki blasts - which would put the convoy in danger - she instead BLIPS into close range at tremendous speeds and goes for a roundhouse kick towards one of the Grigori, hoping to knock them straight into a few others.

    "YOU guys again?!"
Tamiel     Wings and halos? That's a little odd. The Cherubs are a little disoriented, but the Grigori seem more together, even if Beli gets an unusual look from them. Probably. Those masks all the Grigori wear make it a little uncertain if they're looking at her, but it's likely.

It doesn't matter, because the convoy opens fire and starts tearing into the Cherubs. Despite lacking much in the way of visible armor, they don't fall down as easy as human troops, each taking several dozen bullets before they fall. They also scatter for cover, launching arrows of light from their bows that tear through flimsy metal on vehicles, ripping into human bodies in a crossfire. Levi, however, is more than a match for them, and tears two apart right away.

Meanwhile, Cory engages a Grigori. This one is, in fact, more skilled than the last one she fought. "Who?" The woman braces arms, blocking the kick but ending up hurtling into one of the other winged folk, slamming both into the ground. The third manages to evade, summoning a spear out of nowhere to launch toward Cory in reply.

Still, the gunfire has the convoy troops holding up well, especially since Krezentia is occupied by other matters. That is until the Space Marines stand up and let rip into the convoy troops as well, causing the exchange of gunfire to be shifted their way. Now they're kind of outpowered, though. This is made especially true when Tamiel herself lands near the convoy, ignoring the battle in favor of heading toward the truck that most likely holds the weapon component. Single-minded, that one. Only Beli gets a small glance, but Tamiel immediately figures her for a Multiversal hire.
Krezentia Einjager     Suddenly bullets.

It's not incorrect to say Krezentia's kind of fast, but it's also not incorrect to say she isn't superhuman. She uses her empty hand and arm to shield herself, three rounds penetrating straight into it. The limb drops to her side, blood obviously gushing out.

"FUCK. GOD DANMIT. PIECE OF--" She cusses, and swears, and for a moment it seems to be all she can do. "WHY do I never wear my GOD DAMN ARMOR," she finally concludes, before her fiery orange eyes lock onto Kay, with no small amounts of displeasure in them.

"I'm going to make you eat that gun. Or just set this convoy on fire, I haven't decided." She talks big but she's in no more a position to do those things than anyone else here right now. Sulfuras heats up as it gets pointed straight at Kay, bright orange runes and magical circles appearing under the Magi.

    "By fire be PURGED!"
Activation chant, not her choice. No say in the matter.

But the result is a big old plume of deadly fire erupting from the ground under Kay! It's unusually hot and magical, but on the bright side, it seems to have consumed the hammer straight out of the Magi's hand.
Beli Klum     Well, that takes care of that.

Beli's wait is quickly shortened as the air fills with gunfire and the weapons of the Cherubs and Grigori open up against the convoy. The rephaite immediately leaps up into the air with a powerful beat of her wings, and once aloft, her wings light up with a cyan sheen, matching the color of the flames that suddenly burn in the center of each halo.

Attacks are flying through the air, but one person in particular gets Beli's attention. Tamiel isn't getting into battle directly, it seems, and so the rephaite quickly figures that she must be going for the cargo. In an attempt to slow her down, Beli manifests silver-hilted swords in her hands whose double-edged blades are formed entirely from blue angelic magic: Fairness, the weapons of the Archangel of Justice.

One broadsword is hurled toward Tamiel, while the other is tossed just in front of her. While the hilts are perfectly physical, the blades are not: they would pass completely through physical boundaries, whether armor, flesh, or earth, and instead strike at the target with a burst of magical power. Assuming Tamiel strikes them with magic, however, they would easily be blocked or repelled as if they were physical.

Just to help ensure her interception, Beli immediately brings her wings in to dive down between Tamiel and the truck. She'll just have to make herself as much of a nuisance as possible.
Shin Tokuyama     Zip! Ping!
While no one is shooting directly at Shin, he still has to dodge the errant bullet or occasional ricochet to keep from losing a tire or taking a nasty injury via projectile metal. And this is why he has to weave and swerve the vehicle instead of riding it totally straight.
Hm... how best to make himself apparent? What would be the most dramatic arrival? The martial artist spots a woman hanging off the side of a vehicle. Blonde... young... being attacked by someone stronger than her potentially... perfect!
With a screech and a change in direction, he darts in towards Kay, trying to pluck her off the side of the vehicle before the ground under her can erupt into crazy fire from Krezentia. It's very likely a close shave on his part, "Oi! Hey!" He shouts as he tries to deposit her on the back of his bike until she picks such a time as to leave, "Shin Tokuyama! Combat Vagrant and part-time protagonist. What's the haps?"
Kay     Kay really should pick on someone her own size. Especially when Space Marines are erupting and kind of gutting the convoy. "Uh oh-" that's all she has time to say, leaving the space open for the Space Marines to advance now. This is because she's about to get mauled.

Only to be HEROICALLY SAVED by Shin! Swept off her feet, even! "GAH! Uh... thanks?" She left her rifle in the vehicle, but she uses this chance to, while on the bike, whip out a pistol and start firing toward the Space Marines. Surprisingly, these bullets seem more effective than the .30-06, possibly due to ehr panic. "Do I know you? You seem familiar. We have to keep them away from that truck!"
Krezentia Einjager     "Karate Hobo. yeah, I remember you. Lemme guess, you're not going to make this easy on me, yaddy yadda heroic speeches?" is Krezentia's immediate answer, masking the fact her arm hurts like hell right now by being a rude little pissant. It gets her by surprisingly well.

Seems like Kay's changing her aim towards the GIANT METAL WARRIORS, too. No complaints from the Magi, bullets frickin' hurt. Her colors revert to their defaults; blonde hair, red eyes, purple shirt. Green and purple mana starts gathering in her one good hand, the one that isn't attached to an arm full of lead right now.

    "Well, protagonist THIS, then!"

Two wormholes appear, one by the Magi, one by Shin. Krezentia leaps into the first, coming out the second to deliver a mana-infused punch, ideally to Shin's face. Two more wormholes appear as backup, one behind Shin for when she flies past him post-punch, and another right atop the convoy again.

Not being able to fly continues being a huge pain.
Warsmith Honsou     Unleashing fire like a torrential wave of death, the Iron Warriors march; a trudging step at first as they hold bolters clutched to chest and shoot as they move. But for every step they take, their pace quickens. From an inexorable march of death, to an eager trot. Until the lines are approached by the space Marines sprinting at full tilt, the very ground shaking with the weight of their gene-bulked footfalls. Monsters in armor the color of naked iron, striped with black and gold, and adorned with horns, spikes, and shrivelled trophies of victories past, armor pitted with scars and old marks of hundreds of years of war; each one a dark hero in their own right, with hundreds or even thousands of years of infernal glory.

One stands out among them, the entirety of the massive Marine's right arm a gleaming bright silver standing out starkly from the dull grey of his plating, looking fresh off the silver smith's workshop. The return fire lays into their charge. Ten Chaos Marines go down, and from the corner of his vision, the Warsmith sees only five get back up. But their deaths only further incense the survivors, they roar, a collective shout of battle and fury.

    "IRON WITHIN! IRON WITHOUT!"

The ones that fail to rise are written off as a negligible loss, chaff to be left on the threshing floor, Honsou has no room for the weak and the dead in his company. He leaves his men to their revelry. But the Warsmith throws himself into the fray, seeking the honor and glory of the truck most likely carrying what he seeks. This of course puts him on a path headed directly for Beli and Tamiel, and he is not stopping. Not even for the thrown swords. A shrewd and calculated risk, putting himself in the path of one. If he can make an ally here this day, then he'll still walk away a winner.

That silver arm rises, the flung sword hitting him dead on and embedding more than a full hand's breath into the gleaming metal. It's a crippling wound, one that not even the best of augmetics could survive without needing immediate repair afterwards, the arm goes limp and he leaves the magical blade embedded in it. He still has his other arm.

And the black axe in it, wafting with a palpable, hunger to feed on the living.

    "Am I cutting in?"
Shin Tokuyama     "I was here like a month ago!" Shin shouts to the girl on his bike, helpfully answering her question of if they've met before, "My friend got punched around by an angel and I got some cans of stew!" He adds a moment later.

To Krezentia, though, Shin shouts, "Well! I didn't really have any speeches, I was just gonna save her and wing it from the- OOF!" A fist hits him cleanly in the face. Because of how much stronger than him she is in raw power, it's pretty effective. It sends him side-sprawling off his speeding bike, though before he hits the ground he tries to grab the foot of the girl and have her drag him through the portal to prevent a nasty fall.

Thus, when they both reappear on top of the convoy, Shin is laying on the metal surface of the vehicle, "Dude owwwww. You asked a question then punched me! Not cool," He complains as he spits out some blood and unsteadily climbs to his feet, "I was just gonna ask if that cute girl I fought last time was okay. The pink-haired one."

Unrelated: Hope Kay knows how to ride a motorcycle.
Cory     It's GETTING CRAZY here!

    Utterly crazy.

Chikorri's countered by a surprisingly tough warrior, and this couldn't have her happier! She recovers from the impact by dropping to the ground... and then gets slammed with a spear into the shoulder. "GAH!"

It digs into flesh, despite her rather tough Turtle School gi, resulting in blood dripping from the wound. But she doesn't slow down much! Instead, Cory GRABS the bloodied spear, rips it free of her flesh and decides to wield it like a bo staff. She twirls the weapon fast enough to kick up a wind and LEAPS towards her aggressors, spinning the pole up to high speed and using the blunt end to deliver lightning-quick BASHES to to the sides of heads.

    That's the intent, anyways!

"You're better than the last group!"
Tamiel     Like any good overconfident jerk of a villain, even if Tamiel could use magic to block the summoned swords, she doesn't. Beli's blade imbeds deeply into one shoulder, erupting out the other side in a spray of blood. Tamiel herself staggers back, one wing going limp from the injury, and turns her attention toward Beli. "You aren't one of ours," is all she says, yanking the sword out from her shoulder and flexing the injured arm. The injury heals up almost instantly, sealing and knitting bone together again right before the eyes. The vague aura of power around her dims a little when she does this, but in the heat of combat it might be hard to see that. The blood doesn't vanish, either, staining her front as the masked blonde turns her head toward Beli, then to Honsou. "You. You want this item as well? I suppose we can negotiate afterward."

Tamiel's aura flares up, a shimmering halo of golden-white around her body. She won't be caught unawares by that blade again, and while she's far from involnerable, Beli's next strike might have more trouble penetrating than the first. As a counter, a half-dozen sabres manifest around her body, twirling about several times before launching back toward the halfblood.
Kay     Kay does know how to ride a motorcycle, but Kay also did not expect the driver to get punched in the face! "Hey! WAIT I CAN'T!" She grabs hold of the handlebars, but all her skill does is mean she doesn't careen into the side of the fuel tanker ahead of her. As impressive as that would be, it would hurt a lot.

Instead, she yanks the bike to the side, sending it skidding, then tumbling to slide on its side, hurling her and it under the truck and into the side of the bridge. The bike, other than being scratched, is fairly undamaged. Kay, on the other hand, tumbles pretty hard and skids across asphalt, before slamming pretty roughly into the guardrail with a grunt. The girl is tougher than she looks, but there's a spreading stain of red on her leg where she hit it. She looks reasonably okay for now, though.

"LEVI!" she shouts. "Target the Grigori!" A wild gesture has the Familiar looking up from the Cherubs she's defeated, then the tiny little thing grins and dashes toward one of the Grigori fighting Cory to lend the Saiyan some support. This may mean she comes hurtling in like a freight train.
Beli Klum     Beli comes to a halt just in front of Tamiel, wings gently beating as she keeps herself in the air. Her narrowed glare remains fixed on Tamiel as she simply pulls the sword free; that's something Beli will have to keep in mind. "No. I am not," she replies simply, her soft voice backed by a volcano's rumble and the ringing of small bells.

And Honsou takes the other blow, leaving a wound that Honsou...doesn't seem intent on fixing right now. Well, maybe that's something she can take advantage of soon. Still, he's spared a glare of his own just before Tamiel counters.

Blades fly, and Beli's hand raises just in time to be spared from at least a few. A barrier of golden light manifests just in front of her, and while it catches half of the swords, each one sending a spiderweb of cracks along its surface, the other half slips through to embed in her torso: two at the stomach, one at the shoulder, each wound sending Beli staggering back as they ooze black blood like tar.

Her own counter, at least, is quick. While the barrier she's created shatters finally, Beli's arms fall back behind her and are consumed in a flash of white light. Just as she swings them forward again in a clapping gesture, the large golden scales that have bound their chains around her forearms are clearly seen. Once they impact one another in front of her, the scales of Balance release a heavy gong-like clamor as well as a crackling explosion of lightning toward both Tamiel and Honsou.
Tamiel     The end of the spear that Cory uses is... well, it works. Beween her assault and Levi, the Grigori stagger back, with ears ringing, and Levi's impact slams one to the ground pretty hard. The pole seems to be losing structural integrity fast, though... it's some kind of summoned object, and it's getting brittle enough to crack already. On the bright side, the Grigori's mask is cracked, and it's a little dazed, so it's certainly feeling the effects of the flurry of blows.

The Cherub soldiers at first don't know what to make of the Space Marines, but after Honsou declares his intent, they move to launch a flurry of arrows toward the convoy, trying to provide cover for the Marines or take down some soldiers. The battle has begun to look like... well, a battle, now.
Krezentia Einjager     Shin will have no problem whatsoever following Krezentia through one of her portals. It's kind of a trivial matter, really; and thus they both end up on the convoy, and it turns out the Karate Hobo really only wanted to talk.

"Uh. Oh. The Zorne Doll. Yeah, mom fixed her arm and stuffed her back in her capsule. Why? It's just a doll. A copy. It's not even people."

She's not quite sure what Shin expects here.

She legitimately doesn't care about the dolls all that much.
Tamiel     Tamiel shielded herself against more of those magical blades, but an elemental lightning attack is a good way to fuck up her plans and all. It startles her, and the blast staggers her back. She probably outmatches Beli in terms of raw power right now, but this continued changeup of methods of attack is really messing up her rhythm. Also, making her smolder a little around the edges, burning and crisping the girl's armor and flesh. She doesn't cry out in pain or anything, but she sure felt that.

"Hmph," she mutters... then she freezes.

In the midst of the fight, a long, low howl sounds out from not so far away. It's immediately joined by another, then another. One might think that they send a chill down the spine, but as the next breath taken frosts in the air, it becomes apparent that the temperature of the air in the immediate area is dropping rapidly.

The effect on the Cherubs and Grigori is immediate. No matter who they are fighting, they disengage as swiftly as possible and start to set up a defensive perimeter around the convoy, as if expecting attack.
Shin Tokuyama     "She might be people some day! She seemed pretty people-like when I fought her. Emotions and all," Shin comments, his hands going into his pockets as he switches to talking with Krezentia and rocking on his feet a bit, "Sometimes things get souls if you let them develop, yeah? Mysticism and all," He notes in a sentimental tone.
"I just wanted to make sure she was ok-"
Shin is cut off by the howl that chills the entire battlefield chills down. He looks around and wipes some blood from his mouth and ask Krezentia, "You expecting company?"
Warsmith Honsou     Negotiations later, then. The nod of the Astartes juggernaut is almost imperceptible. "Yes. We can." He replies to Tamiel. But for now there is glory and slaughter to be had as he chokes the grip on his axe.
Indeed, the Iron Warrior seems to just ignore the blow that maims his mechanical arm. The sneer of disapproval and scorn is almost palpable even through the solid iron visor of his helmet he raises his axe to strike, the vicious reprisal forestalled by the surge of electric current flooding his armor and the body beneath it. Immense muscles twitch and spasm as skin sears and blood boils, leaving his armor smoking from the joints.

It is the howl that halts him from trying a second time. And seeing the fight break off for the locals to face a different threat is not something that the Warsmith's keen eye misses.

Taking a grip on the hilt of the blade in his augmetic arm, he wrenches it free, the damaged bionic twitching before the entirety of the silver arm ripples. Coming to life and flowing like fluid mercury the greivous wound seals over, returning the limb to its formerly pristine condition as if the wound had never occured at all. "I'll deal with you, for that, in a moment." He decides, one finger pointing for Beli with murderous intent, as he draws his bolt pistol.

"Grendel. Form a perimeter. Keep an eye on the goods and be ready to kill everyone else at the first sign of treachery."

The only reply he gets is a vague and brutish grunt before the remaining Iron Warriors form a picket line with the Cherubs.
Krezentia Einjager     "Eh. Probably not. More likely she'll just get blown up doing her job, that's what dolls do. Those weren't emotions, they were just lines of code telling her how to sound like people." Not entirely true, but kind of a sore point for Krezentia, so she shrugs.

When the air turns cold and the angels engage super defensive mode, she glances about, and then shakes her head. "No. But whatever, if they exist, we can punch 'em." With a wave of magic, the Magi's hair and shirt turn rust-colored, while her eyes turn bronze. She snaps her fingers, and a shield of JUNK surrounds her. It's all blunt and worthless, nothing sharp and deadly in there. A toaster, a hair dryer. Enough of half-stuff like that to form an orbitting shield around her.
Cory     Help is appreciated, especially as Chikorri's claimed weapon crumbles in her grasp. Once it cracks she tosses it away with a frown. "Oh well... who needs weapons anyways?"

She takes advantage of her dazed opponent by ducking down, gathering her strength, and going for an OPEN-PALMED strike to the Grigori's gut, hoping to knock 'em flying! - But the blow is halted halfway in thanks to one hell of an interrupt.

Of course, it's getting even noisier here. What with Krezentia, Shin, and... EVEN MORE SOLDIERS SHOWING UP. THEN, A BONE-CHILLING HOWL. Yes, the thing that got her to halt and backflip away.

"is everyone and their DOG after these trucks?!"

She floats up off the ground for a better look at what's in the difference. Or perhaps something can be sensed!
Beli Klum     Beli seems about ready to continue fighting once she stumbles back from the force of her own blow earlier, attempting to stabilize those heavy scales bound to her arms, but then both of her opponents - and the surrounding forces, too - suddenly break off at the sound of that howling.

Honsou just gets a glare in response to his pointed threat. It's not the first she's dealt with, even though she feels quite confident that either of these combatants could easily demolish her. Both of them at once is problem enough. Still...how many times has she been thoroughly beaten for the sake of a mission before?

The rephaite's halo flames and wing sheens shift from heavenly cyan to hellish crimson, dispelling the scales of Balance from around her arms as she prepares to fight these strange beasts with something a little more visceral. Wings folded, arms raised, she readies herself to set fire to whatever creatures she may see, keeping her back to the convoy.
Kay     Oh great, Barghest. Hauling herself to her feet, Kay winces at her injured leg and frowns heavily. She staggers over to prop herself up behind a vehicle, glancing above to see that Shin at least has Krez occupied enough to keep the cargo safe. For now. "They've really brought some heavy forces," she mutters.

But when the howl comes, she's not even trying to shoot the Cherubs and Grigori. Neither are the soldiers. Barking orders, they all gather together, making a tight cluster that would be awful if someone had area of effect attacks, but will hopefully be good against wild animals like this. Just like an old-style caravan.

Levi hops up from the Grigori she's been fighting, crawling over to sit near Kay, who shoos her over. "Keep the commander safe."

Now she just needs... yeah. Whispering to herself, she shuts her eyes and begins to draw in some power of her own, gathering it for a summoning.
Tamiel     Tamiel does not deal well with sudden changes in plan. She eyes the transport, then looks at Beli again. But rules are rules, and she reluctantly turns about. A shimmering blade appears in her hand, whipped back and forth experimentally as if she didn't always summon a weapon like this. "They could come from any direction. At least three," she recites like a drone. There's a subtle hint like she's asking for orders, but she doesn't have a direct superior here. That makes it even harder on her, and she's left being... not very proactive here.

For those who can sense the barghests, there are four coming in fast, from three different directions. Those who can /see/ the beasts will see they are massive black hounds, with scarred and snarling visages that are definitely as ugly as Tamiel indicated.

The remaining Grigori seem able to sense them, though. As the beasts bound in across the water, they start to ripple and become more properly visible. only just, though. The Grigori are tracking them with their heads, but none are firing yet, despite summoning lances. One of the troops shoots, but the bullets cut through without effect, before the barghest becomes abruptly more solid and bears down on one of the humans. Another is heading right for Honsou, while a third is bearing down toward the commander, and the final one is leaping toward Shin and Krezentia.
Beli Klum     Beli's attention shifts back to Tamiel once she starts reciting information on what they might be facing. She's already heard some specifics from Kay earlier, so this should help things along even more.

Of course, she still can't see or sense them, so that's going to make things difficult no matter how much she knows. Fortunately, however, she notices something: the Grigori are visibly an uniformly looking at certain points, and from that Beli can gather enough to tell that they can actually see them.

That's enough of an aid to her so that she can guess the barghest's approach even before it manifests near Honsou. Her left hand suddenly lashes forward just past the marine, and a blast of swirling crimson hellfire flies from her palm toward where she at least /thinks/ the barghest should be. The explosion that demonic orb gives off when it hits can hopefully catch the beast even if she misses, too.
Cory     It's very, VERY difficult to operate purely on Ki Sense. Yes, Chikorri can detect direction, general strength, and roughly these Barghest's locations. But the shape of their bodies, and whether she'd be driving a fist straight into its mouth or something?

Nope. Nope NOPE not doing that.

Despite all of Shin's criticisms and her obvious derp moments, she knows how to Fight Smart.

"Can't see 'em... what ARE these things? Will they show up if you hit 'em? Maybe kill 'em? Heeh ... how do they taste?" Yup, she's not terribly concerned about being surrounded.

Grinning, the young woman flexes her muscles and stokes up her Ki. Once again she's engulfed in a white aura. One hand reaches out for where she senses a distant Barghest and - BWOOOIP! The tiniest flicker of blue-white light glimmers, expands... then rockets off! Bolts of pure Ki fly like rockets, swerving and curving through the air to converge and pepper the spot with shots!
Shin Tokuyama     "Aww, that sucks. But I disagree. They totally felt like emotions to me," Shin disagrees, unknowingly using social kung fu to keep Krezentia occupied atop the convoy. He lifts his hands up and takes on a kung fu stance while people begin to look around towards approaching monsters, "You're the expert, I guess. Tell her I said hi, though! I wanna see if she remembers me."

"Oh, and like... you got a strategy for fighting these things. I can sense one coming from that way if you've got the firepower," Shin notes, his natural spiritual attunements letting him sense as a creature approaches. He gives a pretty accurate direction for Krezentia to fire in.
Kay     Whispered words work their wonders, and then Kay steps back. The demon she summons appears in a roar of hellfire and brimstone, but it's only the size of a small pony. The swept horns are good for ramming, but more importantly the wreath of fire around it will allow it to hurt the barghests. She peeks over the cover, and... can she see them? She's squinting, but when she fires off a shot it passes through harmlessly.

"Never works when I want it to," she mutters, before gesturing toward the hound going after the commander. Levi's also going to try an earth-powered punch, but that's probably not as effective as a demon specifically meant for hurting these things. Unfortunately, Kay didn't have time to summon a really /strong/ one.
Krezentia Einjager     "Sure, whatever. Doubt she'll care, Zorne's kind of a bitch," Krezentia answers, before shaking her head. "I have NO strategy. I was thinking about standing back and making popcorn while you do your karate thing, and then giving a pat on the head of whoever's still standing afterwards." Technically she's joking, but with her, it would be hard to tell.

"More seriously, you manage to make them appear and I'll do the pew pew." Just on cue, the two of them are beset; Krezentia is counting on the fact she's got a spinning shield of junk around her to intercept the first attack and cause the barghest that Shin is indicating to become a bit more visible. If that can happen, or if Shin gets it good enough she's sure of her shot:

    "Clicking Junk!"

The junk shield gathers up, and fires in a single direction as a volley of... shitty appliances and spare parts. None of which are sharp or especially dangerous. But it's metal! And there's a fair bunch of it.
Warsmith Honsou     Much as it burns Honsou to leave a job half done, his vindictive and petty mood is placed upon the back burner for now. Loath to leave Beli to her own devices after his promise of vengeance, it is yet again with the ingrained patience of a professional legionary campaigner that he turns his attention to the currently more pertinent threat to the larger battle as a whole, massive shoulder pauldrons shrugging with a lazy buzz even as Beli fixes him with a glare that, if weaponized, could possibly melt through ceramite.

As the Iron Warriors take their position on the lines, they are eerily silent, barking orders and call outs among themselves and heard only on the squad-wide vox net within their horned helmets. The augmented eyes of the Astartes only give them the faintest idea of where the beasts approach from, and they soldiers of Perturabo's mighty's legion are quick to follow the gaze of the heavenly soldiers they hold the lines with. However the sons of Olympia do not wait, the stacatto chatter of raging bolter fire letting loose on full auto before they draw their blades. Roaring chainswords with adamant teeth, puttering and screeching. And one Marine can take the wait no longer, completely losing his wits in a sudden burst of insensate, burning, and utterly unreasonable rage.

"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"

A booming cry of bloodlust and unrestrained fury he throws himself right into the path of a Barghest. Whether it ends well for him or not is for the Dark Gods to decide, as Honsou himself ends up a little busy to intervene.

For a towering bulk in several tons of armor, he is surprisingly fast, jinking aside as Beli swoops in perceived attack, he nearly brings his axe down upon her but restrains the blow. No no, his petty bitterness already burning brightly with her is restrained, on the split second revelation that she was aiming for the nearly imperceptible figure that was charging upon him. It is with a smooth motion that he continues the stroke however, twisting the HOWLING warp infused axe away from her, the Daemon bound within screeching at being cheated a fresh soulmorsel as he powers through the swing with intent to re-aim the life-sucking axe into the Barghest. "If you think that makes us even you're wrong." He does idly note.
Tamiel     This situation ends with some pretty awkward defenses, all told. It looks like Cory's energy blasts are at least somewhat effective... but when a barghest solidifies, they're much MORE effective, tearing into it enough to make it stagger and recede back into insubstantiality. Blasting the ghostly image still makes it flinch, driving it back and apparently hurting it, which is confusing to it. Raw life energy is definitely effective, and that's what ki is in a way.

So is hellfire, as it turns out. The roar of pain causes the one Beli blasts to quiver into being, shaking itself and rolling. This likely ends up with Honsou's axe in it for a bloody end or at least crippling injury, and Tamiel doesn't even have to move. Yay, no decisions! This is good because she seems remarkably passive at the moment.

That changes soon, because there's other stuff going on! The one heading for Krez and Shin is met with... a barrage of junk. And a shitty one. It does seem to work, somewhat, causing it to whine and grunt, stumbling back. It doesn't look all that hurt though. Krezentia or Shin will have to hit it with a more decisive attack for that to happen. In another moment it's shaking itself, fading back into reality and taking a large bite at Krezentia. It might miss, in which case it chomps a bite out of the convoy transport's top.

The one going after the commander finds itself facing two demons, the fiery one especially slamming into it hard enough to stagger it. A paw swipes at the annoyance, but it leaves the barghest solid enough for the commander and his men to pepper it with bullets. Those start to hurt it, and here Tamiel decides to step in at last, sending a crackling lightning bolt toward the beast in a sudden blast. Even this isn't enough to kill it, but it does roast a shoulder enough to make it fade away, retreating partway to assess the situation.
Shin Tokuyama     "Well that makes this awkward. I was going to stand around like a slacker and then go bother whoever was still standing with my own gig. Huh," On some level, Shin respects the slacker in Krezentia. On the other, it means they're both going to have to actually work since neither one can avoid being a slacker.
These things are still a bit above his current level, but when one goes to take a chomp out of Krezentia, Shin actually steps in to try to help her. There's a pivot in his body and then he leaps straight up, fist glowing a faint scarlet as he tries to make contact with the underside of the beast's jaws and divert the bite. If Krezentia reacts fast enough to help him, it might even work!
"Oi! No biting pretty girls! Bad dog! Scram!" He chides after he lands again, hoping that there won't be a very painful counter-attack in store for him.
Warsmith Honsou     Once again the battle is joined, and this time it's against a new foe, pounding their way into the fray of this completely unexpected and brief alliance of necessity. In an instant, the axe in Honsou's hands screams bloody delight, the Daemon within exultantly drinking in the blood that splashes upon the fire and blood blackened blade. And he does not stop with the first stroke. Using that gleaming silver arm to fend off reprisal, his left arm raises and falls in a merciless rhythm, putting his vast bulk to use as a wall, while simultaneously angling himself to provide a better firing line for Beli-- and keep his eye on her should she decide to shif aim.

A Warsmith does not remain in power long if they succumb to such frailties as 'trust' and camaraderie.

That is for the weak and foolish. And anyone who expects him to continue to honor an alliance of need longer than he has to is, similarly, a fool.

That might be why he barks to Tamiel as she seems to intent to be told what to do; amid fending off the beast. "Everyone's busy. Get the weapon."
Beli Klum     "I am not nearly that foolish," Beli quickly snaps back to Honsou, though sparing him a glare this time as her attention stays fixed on the remaining barghests. "We are enemies, and I have no doubt that you will try to kill me at a moment's notice. Let us get this out of the way first, however."

While Honsou continues dealing with that barghest, Beli's own assault continues as well. Another lash of her hand outward sends hellfire hurtling toward where she suspects that creature to be, once more causing a roiling burst of hellish flame to hopefully finish off the beast.

And then Honsou's barking at Tamiel to get the weapon while everyone's distracted. Beli really shouldn't have expected him to be /friendly/, but if he could at least temporarily not deal with the goal...

The hybrid gives a low, sharp growl, and her next assault is, in fact, aimed at Honsou. A lance of physical darkness sent thrusting for his elbow, intended to hinder his ability to use that axe quite as effectively as before. He's the closer target, after all, and hopefully she can deal with Tamiel later.
Krezentia Einjager     "That'd have been a freaking useless plan," comes the Magi's answer. She hops back as the beast tries to take a bite out of her-- luckily for her, Shin gets in the way too, otherwise the barghest would have caught her for sure. She clicks her tongue in annoyance, and then takes a leap, to try and land atop the beast. She's got one useless arm, so it's going to be quite a pain to stay on it for long.

"Come on, useless weapon, I know you can do better."

A new junk shield is conjured! It's... still full of shitty metal chunks and appliances. Being atop an enemy does mean the shield'll be constantly attacking it, though, so maybe even blunt metal can eventually do some real damage if she can stay on it and just keep mashing the shield button.

"This is DUMB AS HELL, I saw this thing make blades and rusty razor-sharp metal chunks when the god damn dragon used it." Plink plink plink plink. Well, a hundred toaster blows is still a hundred toaster blows, she guesses.
Kay     Kay's summoned demon was kind of low-quality. The barghest sort of crushes it instantly after it's done its job. It splatters over, then disappears. Unlike Levi, summoned demons just go back to the ether. It does leave a nice opening for Kay though. She bites her lip and changes the clip in her pistol, then turns toward the invisible foe and unloads the entire clip at it, fervently hoping at least a few of those shots will work. This time, about half of them briefly flare with power, cutting through the air with an odd trail that pierces even insubstantial flesh.
Cory     Being ALOFT is a very good way to stay out of the thick of things, but it also means that all of those beasts turning tangible are too far to shoot in time.

    This cannot continue.

"That seems to work. ALRIGHT THEN!" Emboldened, she brings both hands to one side, cups the palms... oh yes, it's that move. "Kaaaa.. Meeee.... Haaaa... Meeeee...." Whilst dropping through the air, it's easy to see that POWER's gathering between her hands. Lots of it. FAR more than the previous shots were worth. And she's timing the descent alright!

She lands RIGHT next to a Barghest going after one of the marines... "HAAAAAAAH!!!"

And at the VERY instant it materializes, she lets loose. Everything goes blue-white in the flare of a bright, thick BEAM of pure energy unleashed at point blank range.

It streaks up towards the sky, and that's probably for the better.
Tamiel     Shin does at least provide a distraction for Krezentia to let loos with- another shield of junk. Come on. The hound sputters as it accidentally swallows a hair dryer, then growls angrily before falling off the top of the transport. Thud. Ow. Hey, can't they fly? Yes, they can, but being continually pelt by household appliances kind of hurts! It is, as said, an animal, and it's right now feeling that no amount of life force is worth this. It's starting to think maybe it should just... slink off. This is especially true when its companion materializes and gets a facefull of ki, sending it sputtering and backing away, going ghostly... only to have Kay's bullets tear through it /anyway/ and cause it to howl in pain, staggering aside and starting to retreat. Yeah, it's tired of this.

The one that Beli and Honsou were fighting appears to be dead. Still physical, it's rapidly decaying into a black sludge. This finally gets them to start retreating, harried by a few Grigori.

Tamiel tilts her head at Honsou. "You are not my superior." Still, she's been given direction, and turns toward the transport, walking over to it amidst the chaos. She doesn't rip into it or anything, though. She just presses her hand against the side of the transport, sending a surge of magic through it that causes the metal to fade away into a clear, thick pane of glass. Still not exactly /easy/ to bust through, as it could take a bullet from sheer thickness, but it's far more fragile now... and the surprisingly small, secured metal box in the middle can be seen now. Whatever metal /that/ is made out of is not a normal alloy, though. It's some kind of ultra-secure container.
Shin Tokuyama     "Man can't your shield do ANYTHING useful? Sheesh, I thought you were some kinda badass femme fatale," Shin shouts to Krezentia chidingly, dusting his hands off after the attack from both of them sends the creature flying. Shin then flexes his hands a bit, because just punching that thing kinda hurt like a bitch, "Man, can't talk much, though. Thing had a heck of an iron jaw. I'mma need a trick to finish it off."
What would be a good trick, though? Well, he hasn't seen MUCH in the Multiverse, but Cory comes to mind. Her crazy glowing power, plus her shouting when she did it. The principle should be easy enough to emulate as he stands there and mulls it over. It's a cycling of Ki flow back into the body to bypass physical limitations temporarily. Overclocking your own system by building up an unsafe power surge.
Shin strikes a chance and focuses in on it. There's an almost immediate surge of wind and he gets a faint red glow as he charges himself up. He can't remember what Cory ACTUALLY shouts, so his mind goes blank and all he can think about is the seminal 1984 Karate film starring Ralph Macchio.
    "Huaaah! COBRA KAI TIMES TWO!"
With a burst of speed and power, Shin leaps up off the ground and towards the Barghest as it moves to retreat. He then takes another leap and goes in for a super-fast, super-powerful divekick to the back of its skull.
Warsmith Honsou     A considerable fewer number of Iron Warriors are standing now. Grendel and nine other remaining at the line to ensure it holds, the Warsmith is just about done with the Barghest when he's taken from behind.

He had seen it coming, it was the most obvious course of action to take. He does not grudge Beli for it, were he in her position he would have casually, heartlessly, done the exact same thing. No, no, he grudges her for other reasons as he snaps back to Tamiel. "I don't have to be your superior when the moment clearly presents itself."

Even as that lance comes flying, he turns, giving just the faintest grunt as the impact is direct and solid, the dark spear embedding in his arm above the elbow and locking the joint of his power armor with a whining grind of servos and sparks as the wound drools a viscous black blood, which clots within seconds of contact with the air. Now Beli has the full attention of a ten foot tall two ton wall of very angry armored man.

"I'm glad to see we're on the same page about how bad of a man I am. By the way, good night."

Though his axe arm is limp, his other arm- the silver one- now as pristine as it had been before the whole battle, snaps forward like a coiled snake of metal muscle in a backhand swing of a massive fist that only speaks of disastrous, merciless, stunning, power behind the blow.
Krezentia Einjager     Krezentia kind of falls onto the roof of the convoy when the beast trips off it. She grumbles, crawls back up, dusts her limp arm, and then sits perfectly still. With Shin pursuing the barghest she doesn't see the point in also pursuing it, although she reactivates the shield just to prove a point.

And wouldn't you know it THAT'S when the shield is made entirely of very sharp objects; rusty blades, sharpened gears, chunks of metal plating that was damaged in the right way to have dangerous edges, basically all sorts of really nasty metal debris.

To Shin, she shouts: "SEE I FUCKING TOLD YOU THIS THING COULD DO THAT!" He never doubted it, or at least never vocalized his doubt about it, but she felt the need to clarify. You know, so it's all on the table.

But for now, guess she should check on Tamiel and/or return to Heaven's transport? She lost track of everything. The violence was too distracting.
Cory     "NO WAY--" Even as the Kamehameha carries off a Barghest straight into Bullet Hell, Cory's not paying attention - the sudden upwelling of Ki from a few hops away grabs her attention. Her eyes lock onto the distant Shin and that aura. "The Kaioken?! How did... that took me TWO MONTHS to learn! ... Grrr... showoff..."

She WILL pounce him for a match soon. SOON.

But as usual her hot-tempered flare is quenched down quickly. All she does is growl a bit. This is NOT the time!

The martial artist takes a deep stance, sucks in a deep breath, and focuses her own power. A haze of red flows from her skin, then quickly 'ignites' into an inferno of rushing power. "KAIOKEN TIMES EIGHT!" Is she just THAT competetive?!

Maybe. Power surges through her and all her senses heighten, and this is a good thing. She moves with blinding speed - fast enough to seem invisible to many eyes here!

One moment she's on one side of the battlefield, the next... another.

She's aiming for Barghests that aren't being covered or are sneaking up on others. The moment one turns tangible she's right there with a KICK for its face, or punching it in the gut from below. Or whatever sorts of body parts these things have. Potent blows indeed. Each impact kicks up a gale-force shockwave and some dust, some even crack the ground nearby!
Beli Klum     Honsou is not the largest being Beli has angered and drawn the full attention of. That seems to be a habit of hers, really, some times being more effective and productive than others.

    This time isn't so productive.

Beli backs away the moment Honsou turns to her, but she isn't quite so determined on whether to flee and try to catch Tamiel or not. She's not exactly afraid; defiance gleams in her glare as she steps back, but to say she's brave isn't exactly accurate either. Soon enough, though, her decision is made for her.

That swing flies for her, and while she tries to lift her own hand to block it (likely an ineffective tactic even if she succeeded), Honsou's blow comes too fast. A sharp, painful /crack/ rings through the air as she's sent stumbling backward, a dazed look on her face and an oozing of black blood down her brow. She staggers, falters, struggles to maintain consciousness...

...and crumples, the sheen on her wings and the flames in her halos flickering out. She's not.../quite/ completely out, if the fluttering of her eyes and the dull groan she lets out are a sign of anything, but not being completely unconscious is apparently an effort enough. She'll probably slip away shortly.
Kay     One more spent clip, then. Kay ejects the clip, then checks her pockets. Nothing. Well. Guess she'll have to just... use the knife. At least the barghests are taken care of, but as the truck turns to glass, she's already stepping out to face... oh great. "Step away from the... truck..."

Kay goes white as a sheet as she realizes how badly outnumbered she is. Krezentia and Shin are busy, sure, but Honsou is still there, and the Grigori... and she's facing down her world's bogeyman. Or woman, as the case may be. She grips her knife tightly, holding it steady. "Right. I guess they're serious about this, huh?"
Tamiel     Tamiel is about to punch the transport, while Krezentia shows off her shield, and Shin crunches a skull. The barghest are already retreating, and now they're being KILLED. Well, one might escape, but for the most part Cory is frying another, and Honsou killed one, so with Shin that leaves one that's slinking off to lick its wounds.

But Tamiel doesn't go through with it. Turning to look and confront Kay, she tilts her head and stares, silently, through the mask. After a long moment, she turns around and walks away from the transport and Kay. "It's a decoy. This isn't their weapon. We should go."
Shin Tokuyama     Shin connects with that Barghest skull and then backflips off of it, landing not too far away from his bike as the aura starts to vanish from around him, "Holy balls. I'm never doing that again. Shit's way too dangerous of a movie for any sane person to use," He comments as he dusts his hands off and then starts to pick up his bike, straining as he does so from the exertion earlier.
"Awww. It's so scratched up..." He complains before trying the ignition and hearing it whirr to life, "Well. Still works, so that's good. Still, gonna need new paint and repairs. Bummer, that's gonna set me back."
To Krezentia, he shouts, "Oi! It was good seeing you again! Gimme a call if you ever wanna hang out, yeah?" He concludes as he climbs onto his bike and spins it in place, trying to find a good exit vector.
Warsmith Honsou     After that blow, Honsou could very much simply finish the matter and put a bullet in her. But he does not. Oh he sure looks about to as he draws his bolt pistol and levels it, giving Beli's stunned vision the ominous sight of the gun levelled for her.

"Well, I'll give you credit, you've got guts and honor." He decides, finger tightening on the trigger before Kay returns. His attention shifts, gun starting to level that way. "If I wasn't serious I wouldn't have spent the lives of my men without a damn good reason. Like I said. I'll just be helping myself to--" Tamiel makes her announcement. The Warsmith sucks on his teeth, a disgruntled sound stifled in the grille of his helmet as he turns to eye the Grigori, perhaps not fully trusting her assessment before shoving his bolt pistol back in the holster with an aggressive amount of force. "I guess we are leaving then. Eh. At least it was a good fight."
Kay     Kay stares after Tamiel and just... scratches her head. "Uh... okay then." She's... pretty sure that the transport actually has whatever it is they're wanting delivered. And she's also very sure that Tamiel(and Honsou and Krezentia, for that matter) could kill her if they wanted. She's already bleeding and banged up, and only Shin's daredevil maneuver kept her from being fried before.

This makes no sense, but Kay isn't going to waste time, and neither is the commander. Baffled as she is, he turns and barks to his men. "You heard her. Clean yourselves up and get moving, before any more of those things come."
