Ainsley     = Aztlan - Underground - South Tunnel =

Ainsley is here today, but she's not here to help investigate the residential district. She's using the trip as an excuse to study the symbols marking all of the doors, frowning at them thoughtfully. She has a notebook out, carefully etching down the various symbols as she finds new ones, trying to translate what the wards are supposed to do. It seems to be frustrating her, by the unhappy look in her eyes and the way her feathers have puffed up. Oddly, she seems to be wearing a flower crown, flower wrist bands, sandals, a black knee-length skirt and black tank-top, all with purple and red flower patterns. It's a great deal more... normal modern human than is usual for her outfits. Her presence is unimportant, and she'll wave off attempts to talk to her after the initial briefing.

The idea is that the party is meant to clear out the crowd of undead filling the lobby leading to the residential tunnels. They're filling that room and making the prospect of opening the massive metal doors very risky. Opening those doors to the residential district would risk allowing the horde in to attack potentially innocent people.

Thankfully, the party has the benefit of a very open chamber and the element of surprise. The undead are far too focused on trying to open that door. However, the party may also be able to spot the presence of several Warriors among the crowd, towering seven or eight feet tall brutes covered in sizzling black and red runes with the color sapped from their scales, mouths drooling blood on the heads of the more minor skeletons and rotting husks. The Warriors aren't super active, but that may change very fast if they get distracted away from the door.
Riva Banari Riva knew she was going to be in for murderblood helldeath blackevil doomhouse but this is just ridiculous. She is gathered with the 'operations team' as they look over the horde of generally single-minded undead. She's got her Ajoran mace out but she doesn't look all too enthusiastic about using it. "So, um.... This is a lot of undead, guys. Anyone have any plans on what we're going to do about all these?" She asks. "I don't have enough C4 in my Templar Stealth Mission kit to deal stankpower of this magnitude."
Wuyin Tsai Wuyin actually shows up! He's not stalking Inga and Dresden right now.

What he /is/ doing is ignoring Riva's question and leading the way by way of being a LEEROY JENKINS. He runs right in, a bent yellow and black bar in one hand crossed with a pointy top. It looks kinda like a pickaxe. Rather than charge directly into the middle of the undead, he turns on his heel, looks towards the ceiling, and disappears.

(There is no ZORT, but you can imagine a teleporty WHUMPH.)

Wuyin reappears nearly thirty feet up, climbing pick extended, catching the stone ledge and grabbing hold with his other hand. He looks down and checks his hold while he does it.

Then, the lightning and the ice starts to fall. Fire's a bad idea when you're at the high end of the room.

RETALIATE NOW, SUCKERS.
Riva Banari "WUYIN!" Riva yells, aghast at his actions.

A moment later, she sputters. "That's... CHEATING OR SOMETHING!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had wondered about what she'd uncovered the last time she was down here. She knew about the undead ahead and had brought some more heat with hert his time, she's got a few more weapons then normal notably several alien grenades from XCOM with her, she figures some more varied data on thier preformance would be something for the Doc and Shen that might be of use.

She fell in with the others as they all arived.

"I told you there was a horde of em."

She lookt o riva and then over to Wuyin amused Riva's note about templar stealth operations. Then there goes Wu doing his thing. She brings up her blaster pistol and starts to open up sending a spray of green bolts into the unead as they are disrupted by Wuyin's attack.
Emiya Shirou     With an assignment like 'just clear out a bunch of hostile stuff,' it should be no problem. To Emiya Shirou, this sounds like an excellent opportunity to not just help his allies, but also hone his skills without an immediate crisis. By now, a horde of zombies doesn't sound too threatening to him!

most importantly, wiping out these zombies is key to saving people.

Shirou's a bit too late to get first dibs though, what with Wuyin running in just as he's getting a feel for the situation.

Yeah, melee's definitely the worst idea here. "Trace... ON!" In a few moments, Shirou's projected one of Vruasa Telash's ROCKET SPEARS and rides it up to a perch on the chamber's edge, out of easy reach of shambling undead sorts.

Up there, he again summons forth projected weapons. A black, western-styled bow, and...

Well, swords start raining down, shot as arrows. All different sorts of fairly 'simple' weapons (mundane or lightly enchanted, no Noble Phantasms!) - there's even a few copies of Wuyin's Jian, if he's paying attention.

Oh look Riva, Shirou's cheating too!
Riva Banari By now, Riva's just sort of sweatdropping in the background while the others rain down destruction and murder on the undead from way on high, wilting a bit. "I'll... Just kind of stand guard here..."
Staren     Staren notices Ainsley's outfit. "You know, with all the danegr we keep heading into, I wonder if you should wear armor."

Staren has brought with him some of his golems -- a squad of the metal unicorn golems, and a couple of the ten-foot-tall stone golems, roughly humanoid in shape. If this comes to a knock-down drag-out fight, they will hopefully divide the undead's attention.

Riva complains she doesn't have enough C4. "I do." For emphasis, the missile launchers on his shoulders rise into position. And then Wuyin LEEEROOOOOY JENKIIIIINSes. Well, everyone else is throwing ranged firepower too, so...

He fires a plasma missile or two down into the group. This superheats the surrounding air to make a 30'-diameter fireball rather than focusing on shockwave force -- Staren also doesn't want to collapse the tunnel. He points, "Fire at the big ones!" and missile racks strapped to some of the golems fire, the small-blast-radius missiles trying to ram into the warriors and explode inside.

It's nice, sometimes, when the solution is as straightforward as overwhelming firepower... OR IS IT?!
Ainsley     The undead are pretty oblivious to the party, even as they talk. Wuyin is able to teleport up above the undead without issue, and the pick would find a nice and firm place to stick for him to do his silly death-from-above attack on the undead. When Shirou joins, it appears the strategy is quite effective, taking down several of the zombies. However, something very strange happens as the minor undead are taken down. They start to dissolve into puddles of blood. One of the Warriors is struck by a falling sword, and snaps its attention up at the two 'cheaters' up out of arms' reach.

That Warrior lets out a long rasping noise, and the blood of the undead lifts up off the floor and flies into its mouth in a messy river, being sucked in all at once. Then the creature grows a full foot taller... and crouches to leap up at Wuyin in particular, clearing the distance in an instant and giving a titanic swipe of very large claws. Looks like they can't just casually hide out of reach.

The other Warriors lurch out of their trances as well, while more and more undead collapse around them, blood being sucked into their mouths as a mist, streams or red energy, seeming to lack anything approaching consistency. The only thing clear here is that they're consuming the minor undead, undead that are blown apart, burnt and shot by Kotone and Staren down at ground level. One of them turns to start charging toward the members of the party that don't have the benefit of a high vantage point, bowling over the corpses and skeletons in a mad dash for the more delicious food that's easier to get to than the tricky wall-clingers. The other Warriors -- two others, actually, there's four of them in the room in total -- start to shudder to life properly.

Ainsley tells Staren, while things start going to hell, "At this point, me being in the melee at all is a liability, so I reason that I can wear whatever I wish," and she then nervously ambles away from things as the battle starts getting worse, not wanting to get eaten by the big scary beasts. She's just not much of a fighter, not anymore!
Wuyin Tsai Well, that only kind of worked out.

Wuyin flings lightning down at the undead, keeping the cold on-hand in case something diabolical happens -- like, say, one of the monsters hulk-jumping after growing a foot and proving to have claws the size of his femur. Wuyin braces his feet against the wall and unhooks his climbing pick, throwing his arms to the side and kicking off. There's a pulse of cold, a freezing wave that slams into the mid-air Warrior and will almost certainly lock it into pounce-and-kill stance, even if inertia keeps it moving at where he is.

Scratch that; where he /was/. He backflips off the wall and crosses the room, landing slightly further down against the opposite wall. He slides down on the wall and hastily hooks his pick again, swinging from one arm-hold and flinging killing flame into the back of the Warrior who just came at him.

If you cheat, have a backup plan. Time will tell if he has a /backup/ backup plan.

Or if the guys down below get eaten. Whichever!
Staren     The weaker undead fall, but the Warriors rise... and... are being powered up by the fallen undead? No fair! The unicorn golems charge forward, trying to ram the warriors and gore with their horns. They're not very big, a little over 5 feet tall if they reared up, but they /are/ solid metal. The pair of rockmen form a second line, hefting handheld missile launchers and firing more of the armor-piercing missiles at the warriors, and dropping them to melee one or two of the warriors if they get past the other golems.

Staren keeps his distance for now, though he switches to energy weapons, blasting with the beam cannons on his arm first, then pulling the laser sniper rifle off his back to fire bursts of super-concentrated light at a warrior that's stopped to fight things in melee!
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is cutting down those whe can but she was not expecing tht thing to feed on it's fallen fellows. No she had no idea and now she starts to think this was not a good idea to wrck them all at once. She's going to well start leaping to try and keep out of melee range she's already had to be cleaned of the goop from the Kraken the night before and now this? She's moving iwth inhunn aglity and a fair bit of grace too just making sure she's not going to get well caught by this thing. She does turn her blaster fire to the cannibleundead and then lobs one of the alien grenades at it. The Golems are welomc to help keep her with some cover but she's still not keeping still, she's long learned that's a very bad idea.
Riva Banari Riva watches the salvo go down, and OH LOOK, A HORRIBLE THING INVOLVING BLOOD HAPPENS. Riva throws up her hands and looses a yell of frustration. "I HATE THIS PLAAAAAAAAACE!" She calls out, and hoists that hammer as it glows with red-gold Anima. While the golems stomp forward to make a first line, Riva waits for one of the Warriors to punch for one of the golems, and she leaps in, slamming her hook-like hammer in around the neck and pulling as she swivels around to the back. There, she slams her feet into the Warrior's lower back, hoping she can maintain leverage here... "FOCUS ON THE WARRIORS!" She calls out. They're just going to buff up to stupid levels if they're killed last.
Emiya Shirou     Shirou's sword rain halts when the downed undead are DEVOURED by aggro-ing Warriors. At first he balks, finding this turn of events hard to believe... but with them rushing out... "They're ABSORBING the downed zombies?!" Well that's seven kinds of nonsense, but Shirou decides the best way to deal with this is to HURL his bow down at the thing jumping for him and vacate. he goes LEAPING a distance that would be a rather uncomfortable, likely injurious fall for some people - six times his own height - but somehow manages to roll on the landing and spring to his feet, not much worse for wear. "They aren't just mindless shamblers?!" Gotta learn the hard way, apparently.

With another surge of light from his palms, Shirou summons up a majestic yet plain-looking scythe. unlike many Noble Phantasms, this one doesn't seem terribly ornate or special, but it radiates the peace of the grave like only the Grim Reaper's weapon can.

And in he goes, joining the fight against the warriors and dicing up zombies on the way there!
Ainsley     Wuyin's reaction to the leaping Warrior results in it slamming into the spot he was clinging to a second ago, and both freezing and scorching it. Without any consideration of the physical damage, it roars and presses its feet into the wall, using its massive claws to hold on, turns around and leaps toward the crafty Dragon, this time with a strange flicker--

It appears inches away from him with a BOOM of lightning and a crackle of electricity where it was standing a second ago, air buffeting the room, and it tries to drive its claws through Wuyin's chest in a straight stab. It's injured, yes, and that manifests in scorched and ice-burnt flesh, but it doesn't seem to have a pain reflex.

Staren's golems learn the hard way that a Warrior doesn't stop for anyone. A few get lucky stabs in, but most of the golems are thrown aside with firm strikes, and the last one in its way is grabbed by the leg in an inhuman snapping motion, the Warrior quetzal zombie turning to try to use it to bludgeon Staren in a wide overhead!! Riva manages to get atop it while this is happening, her attack only briefly staggering it while it's focusing on Staren.

Another Warrior turns on Kotone, despite her not smelling like food, because she just hit it with a plasma grenade. It launches through the crowd, a cloud of blood trailing behind it and being absorbed, and tries shove its claws through her middle, while green fire cooks over its body and flesh sizzles and burns on one of its arms.

Shirou, unfortunately, makes the last Warrior more annoying to deal with as he cleaves through the minor undead on his way to it. It whirls around and snaps both of its hands together and there's a loud 'CLANG' as it physically catches the scythe in bloodstained claws like a martial artist catching a sword, blood red mana exploding off of its hands to buffer the scythe's attack and spattering the floor and Shirou's body with blood. With the scythe cutting through its hands, it tries to wrench the weapon away and shoulder tackle Shirou to disarm him, moving with a quick, jerky ease, displaying how inhuman the creature is in a brief glimpse.
Staren     "They /lightning-teleport/?!" Staren exclaims when one does just that to Wuyin.

Golems are tossed aside. Some are smashed. Breaking a limb seems to be enough to break the animation spell. The spare missile launchers are dropped in the fray, but anyone trying to pick one up will find they weigh over 30 pounds.

One of the warriors tries to beat Staren over the head with his own golem. "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" he shouts as he sees the warrior coming towards him. He overrides his forcefield into ON mode and dives for cover, not quite fast enough -- the golem catches the field off-center, smashing right through the first layer, cracking the second, and sending Staren /skidding/ into the wall like a man in a giant hamsterball... where he ricochets off it and pinballs back towards the warrior group. "Ohhh nonononononono!" He deactivates the field and tries to right himself, frantically diving out of the way of attacks because he's not sure just how quickly these undead can tear apart his robot body if they get their claws on it.

The first warrior to get right up in his face will take a point-blank blast from those beam cannons, though!
Emiya Shirou     CLANG! With Shirou ending up in a strength struggle over the ownership of his current weapon, he decides to simply forfeit. The moment he allows the weapon to be wrenched free of his grasp... prana swirls in his hands, and -- "GEEEIYAH!"

Using what he HOPES is the element of surprise, he thrusts Kanshou and Bakuya both for the Warrior's gut, and proceeds into a cross-slash!
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has a thoughg, can the warriors feed on a fallen warrior too and get all the power that warrior claimed? She doesn't know but she's got to focus on them right? She doe snot want to be impaled in that fashiuon again so soon. Rory would give her an earful on that she's forced to case her attacks and leap right up as far as she can go before the thing impales her as she starts to drop she opens fire with her blaster.

Still with how she's coming down she's not going to have much control over how she lands and it could end up hurting quite a bit.
Riva Banari Riva continues wrangling one of the Warriors, a quick conversation on the radio giving her an idea as she helps keep the thing from pulverizing her favorite SCIENCE CAT. "HEY GUYS! PUT SOME HOLES IN THE WARRIORS!" She yells, wrenching back on the one she's still on the back of to try to put in Shirou's line of sight. "If we make them bleed out they won't be so stupid powerful!"

As she does so, she pulls out one of the MP7s she got from Psyber, and looses a series of Anima blasts into the hellishly meaty body of the Warrior, trying to aim for the stomach area. If they can debuff these things, maybe they'll have a chance!
Wuyin Tsai Oh. It teleports. That's interesting.

Wuyin twists and releases the wall. The horrible claws don't hit him dead in the center of the chest; it gets him off-center, ripping his sides open and sending a spray of blood across the upper wall. He hits the ground with a painful sound... and then rises almost immediately. The wounds, it appears, are already healing; a talisman hanging off his belt is seemingly highlighted, almost aglow with energy. One of the defensive charms he's been toting about?

With a shout, Wuyin manifests what looks like green hand crossbows, pointing them up instead of directly at it. They fire with a rapid clicking sound, and spectral bolts drop from the open air on top of the warrior. They're heavier, more forceful than their size or speed would indicate -- and excellent for pinning things to the floor for the ensuing brutality.

(He did not, for the record, have a backup backup plan.)
Ainsley     The Warrior that Wuyin was fighting was at a weird angle when it struck him and tries to grab the wall again. These things, despite looking very durable, cannot endure a fall of a couple stories like it seems it's about to, and when it twists to try to recover in the air and catch the wall, it gets a nasty surprise. Spectral bolts slam into it -- and burn away some of the strange wards on its body -- then it hits the floor with a loud BOOM with accompanying gross bone-cracking noises. A fog of red mist pours up into the air and dissipates from the Warrior dissolving.

The one fighting Riva and Staren runs into Issues when it gets blasted in the face with beam cannons. This staggers its step for a second when it tries to evade the attack, and results in it forgetting it has Riva on its back. A combination of gun blasts and a beam cannon to the face has the poor thing slamming into the ground, stumbling and sliding on its own blood, which drools out of it in a big puddle from the bullet blasts. Its body visibly shrinks while it bleeds out to somewhere nearer to Ainsley's height, though it's still a far beefier creature, and it tries to do a sort of death roll, complete with grabbing at and trying to bite Riva. SPIN SPIN SPIN THRASH!!

Shirou gets a good opening in the creature's defense and tears its belly open. The effect is like a B-level samurai movie, blood spraying out of it in a torrent and also shrinking its body. Seems the upgrade is only possible so long as they aren't bled out. The blood, however, glows and turns into a horrid blackened acid, so Shirou might not want to be touched by that stuff.

The Warrior Kotone is shooting gets a similar treatment, any shots that hit major arteries ending up bleeding out some of its power and slowing it down. It still does a violent attempt at a headbutt while she's in the air, though, with enough strength to knock most people off their feet.
Staren     "Woah!" Staren leaps back after blasting the thing to get his bearings. 'Poor thing' Yeah, right. He stares in wide-eyed surprise as it /shrinks/... it really was as simple as getting the blood out of it!

Everyone else did something similar. There is blood and undead bits everywhere. He's glad his sense of smell is turned off right now.

The next thing he knows, the monster is down, and trying to roll over Riva. "Riva!" Staren activates his wings and dashes forward, drawing his beam saber (the laser sniper rifle was dropped in the earlier confusion) and crouching by the downed creature, swinging the glowing purple 'blade' right for its neck!
Riva Banari Riva laughs, about to unhook and jump away from the Warrior when it goes into a murderous death throe. Riva screams as suddenly she's being flung around by the Warrior instead of the Warrior being wrangled by her, and she finds the undead lizard horror tearing at her flesh. There is a scream as the teeth bite down on her arm, and in desperation she smashes a hand at the Warrior with her off hand, trying to pry it off of her hand when she realizes:

She has a gun in the other hand. With a grunt, she drops the hammer and switches the MP7 to her other hand, jamming it into the beast's eye and hissing, "GET OFF ME, YOU DAMN DIRTY LIZARD!" BLAM!
Emiya Shirou     SPLORT! There's blood everywhere. Shirou's cunning manuever turns on him. "You're kidding me, these things are disgusting!" It's all he can do to shield his face and tumble backwards. As a result he mostly gets sprayed across the back and on an arm. The black bile sizzles and sears at his flesh and clothing and he quickly topples back, set to scraping it off and, eventually, he even ditches his shirt entirely, tossing it towards some of the zombies.

As it turns out, the boy is ACTUALLY PRETTY RIPPED for a kid his age.

Ripped and... still splattered with scorching goo. "Over this I'll take the Solomon Island Draugr!"

    Any day, really.

Hurling Kanshou and Bakuya at his slashed-up enemy - already finished or not - he leaps back just a bit and...

Once again power swirls in his grasp, swirls until he's wielding the ancestral blade of Souji's family, the MURASAME. The weapon's aura is sinister, but its BLOODTHIRSTINESS will work in his favor for this fight.

"Why don't you take these dirty tricks and GET OUT OF HERE!" With that yell, he's back in the fray with another series of slashes!
Kotone Yamakawa Things fall to madness, the advice to make them bleed out is a good one from the looks of it, however even as her friends fight? Kotone is very much busy falling towards it the head butt connecteds but what it finds, is not flesh. It finds the form of Kotone's military grade body. There's damge to be shure and she's theown off where she ws falling. She hit shte groundf and does so hard leaving an impact which gives away the actual mass of her body. Kotone's hurt but getting back up as she's dropped her blaster. She's now pulling a knige nad lunges at the thing trying to slit the monster's throat.
Wuyin Tsai Dragon 1, Creepy Aztec Monsters... probably 3 or 4? But TODAY, it's 0. And that's what matters.

Wuyin stops messing around with clever solutions to the problem. He steps into the middle of the chamber, the crossbows vanishing in greenish mist. Instead, fighting claws appear, surrounding his hands and apparently affixed to some unseen anchor on his forearms. They're translucent and ethereal, but the moment he gets near the remaining walking dead...

The words 'spin to win' come to mind. 'Human blender' is another good one. He makes wide, sweeping motions with the all too solid claws, hacking his way towards the Warriors still harassing Shirou and Kotone. Riva and Staren have their side of things covered; Wuyin Tsai, Agent of Chaos, is coming to back the other guys up.
Ainsley     Staren's blade strikes true! The Warrior, however, is trying desperately to kill Riva, and encounters another big problem. She still has a gun, and she knows where the gun needs to be pointed. The barrel gets shoved in its eye and the weapon is fired, splattering more of that acrid blood all over the floor. The creature, from the combination of these attacks, twitches to a halt and collapses in a heap, dissolving into a puddle of blood.

The one that Shirou is dealing with dies much differently. The moment that the MURASAME is stabbed into it, it comes shuddering to a halt like a statue. The blood makes it dissolve like a vampire getting hit by silver, and it tries to pull the weapon out of its flesh when it gets stuck in the bone, but ultimately collapses in a heap, especially as Wuyin arrives to finish it off.

Kotone's fight comes to an end when, despite her damage, she still lunges toward it with the cyborg efficiency her body brings to the table. Leaping on it while it tries to swipe at her again is fully possible, and she cuts into its durable hide with that knife. The Warrior gets taken down when Wuyin comes around to this one as well, slashing it up, and it falls, dissolving as well.

Now all that's left are the comparitively trivial undead that remain after dealing with the actual dangerous ones. For this group of Elites, it'll be a mop-up job, and they'll be able to open the door shortly without risking any potential survivors.
Riva Banari Riva... is not feeling all that well. Her arm's been mauled, only adrenalin and endrophins keeping her up at the moment as it dangles to one side, useless. The other arm holds her gun, and she uses it to spray Anima bullets at the enemy in a salvo of weaponized blue-green world-energy. There's no tricks here, she barely has the wherewithal to do this much, let alone try anything tricky.
Staren     The warriors are all down. Staren stands. He has no veins and no adrenaline to course through them, so he calms down the moment serious danger is passed. "Good thing they can't absorb /eachother's/ blood, for some reason." Beam cannons and plasma saber help finish off any wandering undead. The laser sniper rifle is returned to his back. He'll pick up the missile launchers on the way out.

Then Staren notices that some of his allies, while not dead, look... damaged. Kotone will be repaired, he's sure, but the worst seems to have been sustained by his bee-powered allies. "Ummm... Are you two able to heal somehow, or do you have to...?" he mimes holding a pistol to his head and shooting himself.
Emiya Shirou     Now THAt's not at all what Shirou was expecting. The sword getting LODGED into a now-dissolving monster gets him staring HARD, bewildered and momentarily focused veeeeeery hard on just what's going on.

ONly after a vulnerable second or two does he have the common sense to leap backwards and project a second copy of Murasame, raising it up as a guard. "The blood-drinking sword is their weakness? No.. it's something to do with the magic they're using, it's messing that up. Blood as the power source."

Well, nevertheless, he sets about dealing with the rest of the zombies, grateful that Murasame will, if nothing else, keep him from getting SPLATTERED MORE.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa rises from the WArrior as it goes down, Ko's a bit of a mess but she's starting to get use to it. That thought bothers her on a deep level, she's adapting to horrors like this she gives Wu a nod of thanks.

"Thank's Wuyin."

She cleans her knife off puts it away and then recovers her blaster and also puts that away. She looks at the to make sure everyone else is okay.

"...I was just grousing today about part replacement too."

She looks at Staren's gestutre and shoots him a dirty look.

"Do we need to call on your factional resources."
Wuyin Tsai Wuyin keeps spinning. Will It Blend is the new question (and mini-program) of the day. The answer is 'yes, if you apply enough Chaos Magic.'

Once they've cleaned up, Wuyin takes a moment to get his bearings again. He's not terribly dizzy; he's actually surprised he isn't, given the amount of BlendTec murder he was helping dish out. He's also surprised he isn't bleeding more profusely, but he reaches into a pocket and pulls out a can of something anyway.

"You're welcome," he says. "Now, what were they guarding?"
Wuyin Tsai "Sufficient nutrition will do it," Wuyin replies to Staren, a bit belatedly. "We heal naturally very quickly, but," he shakes the can a little, cracking the top, "a helping hand of Anima and sugary substances is best."

Wuyin drinks with one hand and tries to kick the door down -- er, push/pull it open with the other.
Ainsley     The door gets unbarred once the undead have been dealt with. It creeeaks open slowly, and reveals a strange area of Aztlan's underground meant to mimic an old Mesoamerican city, with a fake sky and everything. And what they meet are a bunch of young Quetzal men in the minimal attire their people wear, raising swords, spears, and what seem to be magitech rifles at the party all at once, their eyes widening. When they see the aftermath...

The weapons slowly lower. Quetzal men, women and children filter out of their homes, tentatively, and peer out at the party, and stare at them. A few of them are at Ainsley's old height, diminutive creatures with red eyes, while the others are tall with blue eyes. Some of gold jewelry or paint on their bodies. And all of them seem healthy and safe.

A soccer ball rolls to a halt at Wuyin's feet.

The Quetzal stare, speechless, at the people that came to save them. Strange people from a Multiverse they aren't familiar with, people who look entirely human, or robotic... people who must look like aliens to them.
Wuyin Tsai Wuyin stops the ball with his foot reflexively. He's a little bit covered in blood and viscera. Some of it's even his.

He stares back at the Quetzal people from behind the lenses of his 3D glasses for a long, long moment. There's a sort of odd silence as they file out.

Then, he kicks the ball back the way it came. "We are outsiders," Wuyin says, "come to cleanse the infection that has taken hold of your city. Please do not be alarmed; the way is clear, if you seek egress."
Staren     Staren approaches the door when it opens -- to be faced by Quetzals with guns! The forcefield comes back on, cracked, the visual effect sputtering a bit. It turns off when the weapons lower.

Staren takes a deep breath. What do you say here?

"We come in peace." he tries, and nods agreement at Wuyin's words.
Riva Banari Riva approaches, her weaponry stored away in favor of a brightly colored box. She smiles, despite her rapidly-healing wounds, and offers the box to the people there.

"Hi there!" Riva says brightly. "We're here to help you get out of here. We brought tacos!"
Emiya Shirou     FINALLY, PEOPLE.

When the Quetzals emerge, Emiya Shirou feels it. They are saved. ... All of this effort helping Ainsley amounted to something after all. He doesn't smile though - not much. It's rather hard to with all of the MUCK around, and the weapons, but pure relief's anotehr thing and THAT he's showing in spades. Shoulders sag as if a great weight had been lifted from them and he banishes his weapons without a second thought.

"The way out's still messy, but we cleaned it clear of these monsters. How long were you guys stuck in there?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks as the door opens and wonders about it seeing the sky and she sees people a whole lot of poople she keeps her weapons lowered as she loosks them all over.

"Easy we came to help you..."

Man she must look like an freaking alien or something there's no humans native to this world.
Ainsley     They don't leave. Not immediately. Many of them don't believe a word out of the party's mouths, but since they aren't immediately attacked, others step up to regard the party carefully. A teenage Quetzal with purple eyes picks up his soccer ball and looks at Wuyin, a glowing energy behind those orbs and... a strangely neutral gaze pierces through him. That young teen's feathers are a rainbow of colors, though his scales are all black and white like the rest of the Quetzal. An old woman steps forward and gently urges the boy back toward the crowd.

The five foot tall Quetzal woman with greying eyes and feathers pulls a necklace off her neck and holds it out at the party.

"If you are here to clean our home, you will need this. It is a key to the deepest part of the city." She speaks gentle Spanish, the Central American kind, and waits for one of them to take the necklace. On the necklace is a pendant, which has a cat's eye gemstone in it. She doesn't look directly at them, instead somewhere over their heads. She's blind, apparently... though she seems to have no trouble walking around without a cane or other forms of assistance, and even knows when the pendant is taken.
